So I noticed that Aaravos's death, while having similarities to Leola's...seems different in a few critical ways
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Starting with the way that it looks between the dragon bite and...whatever magic was done to Leola. Leola's heart star lights up, possibly by a spell, but the archdragon bite seems to cause cracks that spread along his body. (It should also be noted that at first, Leola has some stars gently flecking off of her body)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leola's hands are the first to start emitting light, whereas Aaravos's hands are the last. It doesn't seem like his heart star lights up in the same way either
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The horrific looking eye/mouth explosion looking really different with the sparkle dust/cracking. Not to mention that Leola screamed when this happened, and Aaravos did not. He made a pained noise when Zombiezandum bit him, but not in this moment. (Aaron said something about Aaravos being able to take physical pain better than emotional pain, but this seems excessive)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's kinda hard to see what's happening with Aaravos since the sun is behind him, but the important thing here is that Leola at least died far faster than Aaravos
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When they finally do go off, they flash a star before impacting - and the stars look different for each of them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dragons aside, the star Aaravos explodes into looks interestingly like
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And finally, when Leola impacts, it is like an asteroid, since she came from space and was large enough to make a massive crater. Aaravos, meanwhile, only being held off the ground, impacts like a nuclear bomb and starts to "burn the earth" before the explosion touches the ground.
Additionally: A forest was wiped out by Leola, and an entire (abandoned) city was annihilated by Aaravos.
A lot of very different things happened here. I'm kinda thinking now that part of Aaravos' goals, in addition to the general vengeance/removal of arch dragons
Get a better idea of what happened to Leola
Understand her experience (and then realized it dragged out a lot longer for him than some reason)
Get a nap in the stars before he starts whooping.

Some thoughts on the character descriptions & other details from game files. DA:TV spoilers under cut.
[original source link]
Some of the char notes are v neat and interesting. ◕‿◕ (caveat to bear in mind of course: gamefiles info can contradict what is presented in game as plots and ideas naturally & normally can change a lot throughout development. what's in the game and other media is what's canon. that said they're still neat and interesting to think about.)
You can read Ghil talking to some of her "stock" in a/some Trespasser armor codex[es]
Like Dalish lore in modern Thedas has it (the Ascension of Ghilan'nain), Ghil had the distinction of being the only mortal elf uplifted into the Evanuris pantheon
" (in this case, Solas's murder of his friend Felassan by stabbing him in the back)" - "[TME quote] He never heard the blow that killed him." q.q
Spirits of Profit are a thing (note: this kind of thing I just like to take as canon as long as nothing in-game actually contradicts it being a possible thing in the world hh)
Spirits of Need are a thing
Spirits of Passion are a thing
Demons of Obsession are a thing
Spirits of Freedom are possibly a thing
Not just a General, Felassan was the second-in-command
The idea/possibility that the Caretaker is (or at one point during development was thought to be) what remains of a truly ancient dragon, who long ago took on the form of this spirit, then was summoned by ancient elves, slaps
"A spirit of chaos and freedom, unleashed by Solas to break through a labyrinth to his ally Mythal", "A spirit heavily implied to be the Caretaker in another era, speaking with Solas about the attempt to rescue Mythal. Speaking with the spirit, Solas makes it clear that he will sacrifice anything to save Mythal." - I wonder if at one point there was an idea to have a scene which was another relivable Solas Crossroads memory, where this Mythal-rescue scenario would play out? Maybe Rook would have 'played' the Spirit of Chaos in that memory similar to the one where Solas and Felassan call spirits to launch an attack on an Elgar'nan fortress
Inquisitor - "relatable leader and mentor", "confident, knowing" 🥺
Interesting to see that Charter at one point may have appeared in the game and had a role. There are still references to her and her work in some DA:TV codexes
The character descriptions for Varric and Dorian, and the Morrigan speech pattern note, are so fun hhh. some characters simply need no introduction
Two possible appearances, depending on how the player resolves her past: 1. Dark black dyed hair 2. Red hair with streaks of grey CHARACTERDESCRIPTION: Isabela from Dragon Age II
At one point there was possibly an idea to have further choices such as what happened to Isabela in DA2 be in the game.
"Manfred is curious, loyal, innocent, and wants to be helpful." 🥺
I had personally been hcing Lucanis as 36 so that is neat
the ages listed are age ranges meant to help inform the char info, & info players would actually see/hear in the games and other media like books etc would take precedence. I would place Teia and Harding as at least a few years older than what's given for example (Teia was 28 when she became a Talon, and it's now 9:52; and I don't really see Harding as having been as young as 19 in DA:I in 9:42 as a Lead Scout. young definitely, but not that young).
and this is more based on subjective vibes than any canon info, but I read Viago as being older than this, and older than Lucanis, Illario and Teia.
ACCENT: Hint of Italian, but not as strong as Zevran's. (He is from a coastal city in Antiva, which had an influx of Tevinter refugees from Seheron after the Qunari invaded 100 years or so ago. That’€™s why he looks and sounds different from Zevran and Josephine.) [Caterina] Older Korean-Spanish or Korean-Italian woman (from the same region as Lucanis)
This is neat worldbuilding. a hint at what people from Seheron or people with Seheron heritage may be like.
Lucanis now bears scars both physically and mentally from his time as a brainwashed executioner for an evil mage cult. No longer the pragmatic assassin always in control, he wrestles with becoming what he’s spent his life hunting: a demon-possessed abomination. He longs to return to his former glory, but the monster inside him demands blood and vengeance. With his future hanging in the balance, Lucanis must decide whether to give into the demon or control it.
some other ideas about what Lucanis' storyline may/could have been at a different point in time.
Taash is a Qunari agent with a specialization in infiltration -- a thief, basically. She can scale buildings, pick locks, and take out enemies with quick and brutal efficiency.
some other ideas about what Taash's storyline/character may/could have been at a different point in time. maybe Ben-Hassrath-y? infiltration and stuff reminds me of the 'spies and heists' version of the game that was reported on at one point.
Tumblr media
This whole set of descriptions is so good, no notes \( ̄▽ ̄)/
Spite was once a Spirit of Passion drawn to Lucanis's will to live, but years of torture and a desire for revenge has twisted him into a Demon of Obsession.
some other ideas about what Spite's storyline/character may/could have been at a different point in time. in-game we hear Spite referred to as a Spirit of Determination (Isabela, Rowan, Solas), and Mary Kirby has described Spite on social media as having the basic aspect of Defiance.
"The Godmother of the Antivan Crows" hhh\( ̄▽ ̄)/
Interesting backstory information on Rayan Ivenci
Dartonia's farming background and Timetri's military family background tracks with an in-game dialogue line Lucanis has in banter about how Crows often recruit from the army and the trades
Ivenci and Fletcher [Crows Merchant in the Diamond] are both non-binary and use they/them pronouns; they use they/them pronouns also in the game
Tumblr media
The Crows are still recruiting and training minors, if a 15 year-old Crow is already well-trained in dual daggers. fledglings Dartonia and Timetri are given as 17.
"Chance is a stylish, dramatic Orlesian who joined the Crows to be their emmisary among the courts of Orlais. (French accent.)" - handy inspo grounds (just one example of many things you could hc) to hc why an Antivan Crow Rook doesn't have an Antivan accent, if you wanted. there is also the example of Heir, who is Orlesian (unless of course you simply hc them as having an Antivan accent :D)
The Treviso Market master's name is Sidestreet Alidare
Anaris had "half-possessed" Cyrian, via the mask as we saw
Anaris, an ancient elven "would-be" god. If you were a power-hungry and/or angry 'mortal' elf back then, it must have been maddening that only Ghil was granted ascension, and to live under Evanuris tyranny
Strife Dragonage is 50
Strife is a keen-eyed hunter who grew up in the elven city slums, but was taken in by the forest-dwelling Dalish elves and taught to be an expert woodsman. He's rugged, tough, adventurous, and doesn't suffer fools. He feels some disconnect between his city-upbringing and his current role as a hunter - somtimes Strife worries he's an imposter, not truly growing up with his people, but he's tried to take their teachings to heart. Strife is loyal to those who earn his friendship, and fiercely protective of his clan.
here I am simply quoting the Strife blurb, as a Strife appreciator. reference to his backstory as a Starkhaven City Elf and joining of Dalish Clan Morlyn, and the toughness he showed in Three Trees to Midnight. nice to see his perspective / thoughts explored a bit here as a City Elf who joined the Dalish and what that means to him and how he relates to the world.
IRELIN A Dalish elf who grew up in the woods, Irelin has learned the ancient and incredibly rare art of shapeshifting. She uses this ability to move secretly in the forest, scouting for her people. Practical and no-nonsense when it comes to defending her clan and her friends, she has a healthy distrust of outsiders, especially the humans who've persecuted and exploited her people for so long. Irelin takes a secret joy in the thrill and power of shapeshifting, however. She loves exploring as the different animals of the forest, and knows some of their paths better than anyone.
I loved seeing this info on/exploration of Irelin too. :)
Protect Evka and Antoine
Rook Thorne snippet: "If Rook is a Grey Warden, Greta [30] has met them before--they both became Wardens around the same time. Greta doesn't know Rook well--it's more like running into an old school mate--but she likes them". maybe this is simply in the game as dialogue ofc, but I haven't played a Thorne yet so I wouldn't know :)
"A cat" hhhhhh :D
Mae's age-range is 50
Dragon King: "Basically, a bad guy doing his evil bad guy best." lmao
Hezenkoss's creation is described as a "bone golem", taking me back to the flesh golems (Harvester etc) in prior DA games
Is "Sealed Spirit" the Formless One? since its description mentions possessing an undead dragon, and its in the Mourn Watch/Necropolis section.
Tumblr media
Tarquin x Viper feels aaa
Tumblr media
Vorgoth's whole segment (and Vorgoth as a character) is so fascinating. maybe they're a rogue, Thedas-loving member of the same type of entity as whatever the Executors are? some of the description here and their appearance in the game reminds me of the description of the Executor in TN and also the Executors' appearance in the DA:TV secret ending.
THE EXECUTOR APPEARANCE: Human-appearing CHARACTERDESCRIPTION: A masked and hooded figure that speaks like someone unfamiliar with language in general. Stilted, awkward, but with a low menace. SPEECHPATTERN: Stilted. Is trying to form words from thoughts that are far more complex than a regular person's.
also very intriguing, naturally. the way they're described (trying to form words from thoughts, being unfamiliar with language) makes them sound spirit/demon-y or adjacent.. it also reminds me somewhat of the description of the way the Cekorax was rendering speech (iirc) in TN. if the place they come from does indeed have empty settlements made of crystal and obsidian - well, entities unfamiliar with language etc in this kind of way might also be unfamiliar with regular settlements/mortal world settlements, no? at one point in time it may have been the idea that we would meet an Executor in-game as part of the story.
(like I said I know it being in the game files doesn't automatically make something canon, it's just fun to peruse and add to hcs or not etc. this post is just a bunch of personal headcanon/speculation really ^^)

Evanuris to old gods Linked
yeah yeah, we all saw that codex but I feel it's not... correct. Yeah, I'm sorry bellara I'm actually way smarter and totally not fixated on evanuris for more than a year reading far to deep into the codexes.
1. Dumat -> Dirthamen. Secrets, silence – you get it. Also:
1. Statue of Dumat in Dirth temple.
2. Interesting situation, where a follower of Dirth weirdly follows the fate very VERY similar to corepheys, a follower of Dumat.
2. Zazikel –> Andruil.
1. Andruil is the only one actively referred to as 'mad' in dalish legends, and it was confirmed in datv that yes she was blighted. the high priest of zazikel is literally called "madman of chaos"
2. Looking back to the constellation associated with zazikel (kios) we can see someone, clearly representing andruil. It was said that she had wings, and a legendary spear – well, here they are!
Tumblr media
3. Andoral -> June
1. I saw a great post on here, remarking than fenris's marking do look quite similar to June's vallaslin, and considering the note below, it wouldn't be stretch to think, that June was the one to create the whole vallaslin and soldiers like fenris thing. he was said to worked with lyrium
2. it also ties in with the fact, that I'm the codex there is a remark, that June's domain has shifted after time, likely because that disappeared from elven culture. slavery did disappear (in elves enslaving elves), so did the work with lyrium
Tumblr media
4. Urthimiel-> sylaise. controversial topic I KNOW. hear me out
1. Sylaise is said to be the architect of elven cities (codex and solas dialog w elg), while high priest of urth is called architect of Beauty
2. the constellation associated with urth is called 'the maiden'. Sylaise is a goddess closely associated with femininity, motherhood
2.1 also, the maiden looks awfully close to sylaise mural and symbol with this point crown thing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Toth-> Falon'din
AGAIN hear.me.out. alot of people link toth to sylaise, but actually, I feel like no old God feels Falon'din like sooo.
1. working around what we had we take a look at the constellation associated with toth. it is a man in flames, in agony. how tf does this relate to Falon'din? well I can imagine one particular part of lore where Falon'din LOST to Elgar'nan, who is heavily associated with fire and the sun. constellation seem to represent the evanuris themselves (I DONT KNOW WHAY HAPPENED W TENEBRIUM AND LUSACAN). it's actually strange, it feels like lusacan and toth were switched.
Tumblr media
lusacan is the Dragon of the night and here is the literal song to Falon'din
The People swore their lives to Falon'Din
Who mastered the dark that lies.
Whose shadows hunger
Whose faithful sing
Whose wings of death surround him
Thick as night.
and toth being literal Dragon of Fire seems fitting for Elgar'nan, son of the sun. But probably, the fight ensued, and the winner (Elg) got the bigger cooler dragon.

Season 1 has its writing issues, but it accomplished some major character work with Rhaenyra. It took her across a moral threshold and changed some core components of how she relates to others. She begins the season paralleled with Helaena. But she ends the season paralleled with Aemond and Daemon. IMO, the Red Sowing was a major moral Rubicon crossed - and she's changed in permanent, fundamental ways. That was the goal of this season. Partly the reaction to the season is due to how this kind of internal character work isn't usually the focus of Fantasy; it's more common in "realistic" dramas.
First, the comparisons with Helaena. They mourn their sons in visually similar ways, clutching an item of clothing/blanket of the child's.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then Rhaenyra repudiates the idea that she wanted Jaehaerys' head, specifically by mentioning this similarity and empathy with her little sister:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's after this scene that she confronts Daemon and rejects his "a son for a son" logic. Then we get the final visual parallel. Both sisters look up and see (in flower petals and dust) the ash that will rain down on the kingdom due to the destruction of a dragon fire war. They're both disturbed by it. Early in the season, Rhaenyra tried to do all she could to prevent that future. By the end of the season, though, she has wholly embraced it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
By the time we get to the Red Sowing (2x07), Rhaenyra has changed her mind - she embraced the fire. Burning people alive for power. She might have introduced the "seeds" to Silverwing, who wouldn't have slaughtered them. But she chose Vermithor. She chose their deaths. And the power felt good. It pushed back the fear and trauma of the early season. As Emma put it:
What is going through Rhaenyra’s mind as she watches the Targaryen bastards be devoured and torched alive? "I think she feels like a god. I think she feels super proud." [interview source] [and major credit to darksvster's meta, which gives full details of where Rhaenyra is at in this episode]
Not only does that happen - but in the next episode, her brother Aemond does the same thing. Massacring people and looking down at it, feeling like a god. Feeling powerful again, after having been made to feel powerless by running up against Rhaenyra's new dragonriders at the end of 2x07.
The visual parallel is as stark as the ones earlier in the season were with Helaena:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They're not being subtle. She is being positioned opposite a brother - a mirror to her enemy - it's just not Aegon, as some people want. But it makes sense that it's the brother driven enough to *take* the crown against the rules of this society - the position of first born noble daughters and second sons has been compared since season 1. They're so close to being the one with the rights to power and yet there's a barrier.
Both of these siblings have crossed that barrier. They will take what this society will not give them. They will take it with fire and blood.
As we see in the next parallel with Aemond. They literally are twinned in two scenes where an as yet untainted female family member challenges them on their policy of burning cities of innocent people:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My final note is that now Rhaenyra is on the same page as Daemon as well. She repudiated his behavior earlier in the season, but now she embraces his return and embraces his core logic. She uses his words, his phrase in a scene where imo we are meant to notice that--while love is still there-- she's being much more cruel to Alicent than she would have ever been in the past:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daemon has changed in the fact that he will recognize her as the reigning queen, but his morality has not changed. Rhaenyra's has - she is now of a similar mindset as Daemon and Aemond. She uses religion--and her conversations with Mysaria about caring for the smallfolk--to justify it to herself and she believes herself righteous. But the actions and their consequences (people burned alive) are the same. And for the same goal of power.
They are doing all of this so artfully--keeping us so tightly in Rhaenyra's pov where she feels justified as she crosses this moral Rubicon--that it can be difficult to see without pulling back and looking at the clues, the shifting parallels, and the ways her behavior by the end of the season is truly, in pivotal ways, not what it would have once been.

I Will Wait (Aemond x Reader)
Tumblr media
This version of the song was the only I was able to finish and truly get in the spirit of combining the requests, hopefully you get the vibe of the whole slow burn and growing to trust type of hype and you don’t find my skill to turn a bit rusty, thank you for being patient. Also one of the requests was from @blue-serendipity I hope you like it and didn’t let you down
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The house Whent was relatively new in comparison to others, yet their correlation to house Strong kept them in a comfortable situation and helped them become a noble house, they resided in one of the biggest castles of Harrenhall, the walls of it were gigantic and most of the people in it considered themselves safe from all harm.
That is until Aemond Targaryen went mad, fire surrounded the city and all one could hear was the screams of agony of any man, woman, or child that was running for their lives, Aemond upon his fury had ignored the yellow flag with the nine bats as he broke into the castle and commanded for everyone to be killed, from the corner of his eye he saw two figures sprinting across the hall, instinctively he ran after them, it was a woman with auburn hair and a child.
“Stop”
He commanded, his voice booming through the castle, surprisingly the woman came to a halt in a few seconds he caught up to them though the woman still had her back turned to him.
“Turn”
The woman spun on her heel only to reveal something Aemond had given a battle to forget, the eyes that used to haunt his prepubescent mind, she looked the same except for the height and her figure, the same high cheekbones, same silk hair, same fire holding eyes the only difference was that those captivating hues were overflowing with tears, her lips pushed to a thin line and her chin quivered ever so slightly.
All the memories passed by his brain one after the other, how she helped him practice Valyrian, the first ride he ever took her on dragon back, her soft touch against his wound as she assisted with a balm the maesters had suggested would be helpful even though nothing could come close to how nurturing her grace was for his soul.
“(Y/n)?”
“Please, not my boy”
Her voice trembling and barely audible amongst the distant screams and curses, Aemond's gaze shifted from her to the young little man who was clinging onto her for dear life, he had her hair and her ever-defiant love if he was the only thing she could think about.
“I would not-“
He stopped himself from saying the rest, he had invaded her home, he had just passed dead bodies that were probably people she greeted every day, he had already caused her pain, and to say he wouldn’t hurt her was only going to be foolish.
“He is your son?”
“Yes, please my prince, let me escort him anywhere, I will not run… he is only 4”
“Prince Aemond!”
The guard interrupted, suddenly his face from a soft and confused expression switched to a coldness similar to the harshness of the winter's ice that they used to skate over the river when they were children, (y/n) clenched her boy's hand and prepared herself for the worst.
“Take them, they are our hostages, don’t kill them”
“No! Please! Let him be!”
“Mother!”
His yelling brought a certain uneasiness to Aemond, the scene that was unfolding in front of him was almost cruel, Aemond brushed it off as him being gracious, it was either that or instant death, a dungeon was better than an abstract result that is the strangers shadow.
Aemond instructed the guards to put the boy with his mother in one of the chambers that were previously occupied by the servants, locked of course, he figured it would be easier for her to consult her offspring if he had a bed to sleep on, even if it was uncomfortable.
(Y/n) had her entire life crumble beneath her feet in a matter of days, she had recently suffered through the death of the father of her child and now she was captured with her precious boy in a room, no clue of what could happen next, the uncertainty struck her airway though she did her best to cloak it with a smile and fairytales that helped the young boy drift into slumber, countless nights were spend with her head against her window, everything inside her screaming at her to break it, a side of her wanted to jump off but how could she leave her beloved boy behind.
Then came the question, why was he doing this? Why keep her? Was he merciful or was there a motive, Perhaps this was a scheme to gain power, but how?
“Has he fallen asleep?”
(Y/n) gasped at the sudden voice, Aemond had walked in for the first time in the room, partially he had stayed away at a loss for words, what was there to say? He had brought her here against her will and now what?
(Y/n) took her eyes off the floor and fixated them on his, he wasn’t wearing his eyepatch, it brought her a sense of familiarity to see the amethyst that decorated his lost eye, he used to take the eye patch off for most of the time they had spent together, (y/n) never asked why though she had been curious about it many times.
Aemond was grateful for her district nature, truthfully the act was his way of saying he trusted her, she never cringed or showed any type of emotion at the sight of his scar, quite the contrary she had been his only source of light, she had been the one to choose the amethyst “I think it will suit you” she had said with a smile and as passing as choosing a gown, (y/n) helped him view his mutilation as just a little mishap.
“Prince Aemond”
She spoke before she curtsied deeply, Aemond had to admit she was almost perfect at keeping her composure until someone gazed at her trembling hands, her voice was audible yet hushed in order to not wake the boy.
Silence fell between them, Aemond shifted from one foot to the other his mind scavenging on what he could do or how should he speak to her. She always made him nervous but not like this.
“What is his name?”
“Arthur”
“Your fathers' name”
“My father passed right before Arthur was born, I wanted to honor him, my husband was considerate enough to allow it”
“Generous of him wasn’t it?”
“It is not a matter to jest about”
That tongue of hers, “You have fire in you, daughter, you must master it or you will get burned” her father would always advise her, she had done her best to keep herself in a certain light still no one could prepare her for this type of scenario, it was similar to walking on a tight rope and this was her stumble.
Luckily, Aemond found it rather amusing, her little hiss brought a very toned-down giggle from the prince who kept his hands intertwined with one another in front of him, she was always smart and always had something to say no matter how much trouble it could have brought her.
“There you are, I was wondering if I had managed to just find someone that looked like you”
“You find this the right time to be sarcastic?”
“If we are fair there is no right time for that, especially not when the one that holds the keys to your room is talking to you”
“You are threatening me? That’s low Aemond”
“What else am I to do?”
“Free me, let us go Aemond and I swear we won't retaliate”
“I know you (y/n), you are not the one that will sit aside”
“So what’s your plan then? Keep me here forever?”
“In a way, yes, not how you picture it though”
“I do not picture anything, Aemond, please, let Arthur go, he doesn’t deserve this”
Aemond admired her selfless act of desperation, she wasn’t interested in negotiating her freedom, although when it came to her son she had no problem begging and pleading.
If he was honest he had to admit how much he had missed the sound of his name rolling off her tongue. Aemond had never put much thought into how his name sounded until it came from her lips, so elegant, smooth like honey, it was spoken like the best of compliments, even if it was just his name to him it brought goosebumps.
“Your son is safer in the red keep, one wrong move outside these walls could cost him his life”
“I would protect him”
“I know you would, who will protect you dear? Your husband has passed, you are on your own”
“I can do it”
Aemond took one step back, bathed by candlelight yet her spirit burned brighter than any type of candle, the way she raised her chin and squinted her eyes with perseverance, stubbornness ran through her veins.
“I know it is hard to understand my dear (y/n) but this is how I am protecting you, you know better than to step out alone with your son, they will eat you alive”
“Who’s they? Your supporters? Princess Rhaenyras supporters? This war was caused by your family and now I am doomed to this-“
“You are not doomed, I saved you, think (y/n), everyone knows that the lady of Harrenhall is now a widow, how long did you envision that it would take until men tried to jump over the walls or even worse, force you to remarry?”
“My son is the lord of Harrenhall, no one would dare-“
“You are foolish or way too optimistic and I don’t know which is worst”
“So what do you suggest? That I sit under your watch until when? Until I die?”
“No, I would never imprison you for your entire life”
Aemond was forcing himself into silence, his head ached from the torment that he had created for himself, wrapped under the iron spell of doubt, still when he gazed into those eyes, oh how he had missed her, her scent was enough to drive him into insanity, when he brought them to the castle his mother went wild, it was something she had thought about and now Aemond was willing to risk it all for (y/n).
“Accept Aegon as your king, declare that Harrenhall has fallen”
“It already has, last thing I saw was that you have turned my home into ash”
“And marry me”
(Y/n)s eyes grew wide at his audacity, how could he utter such a thing? He had invaded her home, taken her without her will, and her knees buckled after what he said,. Aemond's instinct was to catch her gently and wrap his arms around her, he felt her flesh grace his as her hands went over his to further support herself, slowly he sat her to the floor without ever leaving her from his grasp.
“Have you eaten today?”
“Yes, though your guards have not been generous”
“That is my fault, I did not inform them to feed you like guests”
“Cause we are not”
“You are, I- I- it sounds insane when I say I could have killed you, I did not, when I realized that it was you I just- I remembered the moments we shared”
“We had a few good moments I suppose”
“Remember the dance?”
“You had two left feet and you were so nervous”
It was a celebration, it was King Viserys name day and everyone that mattered was there, including house Whent, she looked splendid in that purple dress, she always favored the darker colors it was no surprise she chose such a thing, Aemond had stumbled over his words when it was time to ask her if she wished to dance, to make matters worst he tripped over his feet from being distracted by her smile.
They hadn’t exchanged a word during the entire time the dance lasted, their eyes spoke the same word as neither of them looked away, a string had been wrapped around their hearts and almost forced them to come together.
If there was anytime Aemond believed in fate it was when he met her, he was infatuated by everything about her, her laugh, her voice, her hair, the way she walked with her head high, how she liked to grace her fingers over the arm of a chair before she sat down, her weakness for peaches, even her fear of thunder he had found extremely adorable.
“Why did you marry him?”
“It was my father's wish”
“Did you love him?”
“He was kind and generous, he let me be after I did my duty and he was respectful, I… liked him and of course was grateful for his warm-hearted nature”
“I would have given you more, I can give you more, I can give you everything”
“You are a prince, I am not of your status”
“You are the lady of your town, you are a lady, even if you weren’t it wouldn’t matter, as long as I get to hold you”
“Aemond let us not speak of this, it is not the time nor the place”
“Fair enough, I shall leave you be my dear”
Aemond left a sweet kiss at the top of her hair while he sneakily took a nice whiff from her hair, it was the same sensation as stealing sweets from the baker before supper, sweet and the result made it worth it.
As he rose from the floor (y/n) stayed seated, contemplating what to do, the world was on her shoulders and she was shoved into walking on a rope, she always had a soft spot for Aemond, he had been the reason her adolescent heart beat erratically, if she could just turn back time perhaps everything could have been different.
“I will not pressure you into anything, I simply want to keep you safe and I even hope to make you happy one day, you shall be escorted into a different chamber on the morrow, this is not a proper home for you”
“Home, funny word”
Aemond pursed his lips at her remark, she was bitter and had every right to be however there was a part of him that yearned for her good graces, some would call him impatient if they saw how eager he was to earn a smile or a kind word off of her.
“We have plenty of time, I will wait, as long as you need my dear”
“I shall bid you goodnight, my prince”
“Sleep well, another day awaits you”
Requests are open!

Dragon Age: The Veilguard | Release Date Trailer
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Release Trailer did a lot for me in different ways and I have a lot of questions and theories.
1.) Lets talk about how there are stark similarities between Inquisition and The Veilgaurd.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The protagonist is found again in the Fade, this time it looks more grey than green and they do not inherit a mark. it also looks like Rook and The Inquisitor share the same physical position that they found within the fade at the start of their stories: Lower than someone thought to be much more important than them :Inquisitor the Divine, Rook, Solas.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Rook you see more of what's happening within the fade and the statues of the Elven Patheon which what looks like a split amongst them. Three on the left near Rook and four on the right near Solas. Does this symbolize something? We know that the Evanuris did not always get along but does the positioning of the statues foreshadow that more of the elven gods side with him in wiping out everything and bringing back the days where everything is ruled by magic?
2.) The trailer did a wonderful job sprinkling nostalgia here and there and I have a few observed opinions.
The model they used for this Rook makes me think of two things of Dragon Age. Duncan and people from Rivain who have similar skin tones. Rook, in this trailer wears armor that on the shirt collar has wings. Apart from the Antivan Crows the only other faction you could think of that could be represented with wings are the Grey Wardens because of the griffins.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s also good to hear Morrigan’s voice again and see her also reminding me of Origins and Inquisition. For me I let her drink from the Well of Sorrows so she might either be completely under the control of Flemeth or have mastered it’s power. Of course Varric and Scout Harding who are still with the Inquisition will be with us. If we align with the Antivan Crows will we see Zevran?
There is an elf that looks like they have been captured by tentacles and you cannot see their left arm. Is that the Inquisitor? Or the Hero of Ferelden? I only speculate this because the Grey Wardens are center stage again and besides Hawke, if you allowed him to go with them for a time, The Hero of Ferelden who is on a quest to defeat the calling could have gotten themselves trapped somehow.
Tumblr media
Titan lore will be most likely explored through Lace Harding seeing as she can freeze enemies similar to Solas and Sandal. Her body and eyes glow however it starts to change. In my opinion it might be because she is channeling magic directly through her body and dwarves are supposedly not suppose to have the ability to do magic. Sandal always uses a rune and Solas is an elf.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
> In Sandal’s case we know that Bodan found him far in the Deep Roads and being exposed to lyrium for too long could have done something to him to wear he won’t get the negative symptoms of overusing it.
Tumblr media
> In Lace’s case, she has no idea what’s going on, her body is changing, we know that when Dagna is face deep in a rune she feels “mountain- tall” and around all her people and they think as one and since we know the Ancient Elven Patheon fought the Titans at one point and separated them from their hearts that the dwarves might have lost their magic in a way – this is something I’m still working out from the Trespasser DLC. Harding might need to find the heart of a Titan if she want’s to survive with her new magic abilities or she might even become one – this is another theory. Also, her being able to create a stone wall. Does that mean the dwarven people could build cities with their bare hands. The “connection” with the “Stone” doesn’t sound too far off when you think about it.
Tumblr media
Solas fighting the old gods in his Dreadwolf form was amazing to see. It’s interesting to visually see the difference in size between him and those he his up against even being as powerful as he is. With this and the darkspawn looking blighted along with the dragons that you see at the end of the trailer, there might as well be two blights at once, the veil being destroyed, the elven gods reeking havoc and (personally I didn’t see this but there's no way it won’t be brought up) maybe the Qunari invasion – unless it was settled before the events of The Veilgaurd. From combat finishers looking to be back, Griffins, Morrigan and Varric and everything literally being validated and lore accurate I’m very happy with this trailer.

Yoy think Daenerys will turn evil in the books?
No. I also don't think she will go mad.
I do think she will get darker and more ruthless in The Winds of WInter. So will Jon Snow. In Dany's case it will be because she tried to repress the "dragon" side of her nature and made too many compromises in Meereen in ADWD, which she will realize was a mistake, symbolically embracing her dragon side now that she's with Drogon and has become his rider, but she may go too far into the other direction.
She will also at some point meet Tyrion, who will become her advisor - and Tyrion is definitely in his dark phase already and full of rage and desire for revenge against his family - especially his siblings, so he is certainly not going to be a moderating, level-headed influence.
I think, on the personal level, TWOW Jon Snow will be darker and more terrifying than Dany, and maybe more than Tyrion too, once he comes back from the dead (probably after spending some time in Ghost) - because he has the mystical storyline of getting resurrected, in addition to the man/direwolf duality and symbiosis. GRRM has made it clear many times that he thinks any storyline of someone getting resurrected must include a heavy price, and that it can't be just someone being the same or having even bigger powers. However, Jon Snow being even more terrifying than Dany and Tyrion on the personal level would be off-set by the fact that Dany is a dragonrider with control over two more dragons, which gives her a lot of potentially destructive power. (This may change when/if Jon gets to ride a dragon too, but Dany will already have that kind of power when she gets to Westeros.)
I think we're in for a very dark penultimate novel, where our protagonists will do a lot of troubling and maybe destructive things. But I don't think any of them are meant to end up their arcs as evil. It would especially be weird for Dany. GRRM has already written a "mad Queen/evil Queen" character, who loves fire, doesn't care for the lives of most people, and has been compared to Aerys - it's Cersei. So why would he make Dany go mad and evil too? Dany and Jon are parallels to each other. Dany and Cersei, on the other hand, are written to be two powerful women who are complete opposites as people and rulers (even with some of the similar experiences), so it makes no sense for them to end up both evil and mad, unless the author is trying to say women rulers are bad in general, which I really can't see GRRM deciding to do. And Dany constantly questioning her actions and her sanity (something a malignant narcissist like Cersei never does) is another reason why her going evil and/or insane would be extremely unsatisfying.
I think that the show plot of King's Landing getting destroyed will happen in the books as the tragic result of the Dany/fAegon civil war, and that it will probably be due to several factors including Dany's dragons ( it would be both/either due to her her determination to be harsh to her enemies and/or inability to fully control Drogon). stashes of wildfire in the city, and Jon Connington likely doing something extreme. He is the one who is likely to get triggered by the sound of bells, because it reminds him of his loss at the Battle of Bells, which has haunted him since, and he has already decided that he has to be more extreme and ruthless, like Tywin, in order to win this time.
In any case, I think whatever happens makes Dany decide that fighting for the Iron Throne was wrong and makes her want to redeem herself, and that her ultimate fate is to fight the Others, which has been foreshadowed. And if I'm certain of anything about ASOIAF, it's that the Long Night will not be the short, anticlimactic affair it was in the show - it will be the big, final showdown, because it has always been strongly implied that this is what the humans in the story really need to focus on, instead of fighting each other over power.

First I like the theory of jaqen=aegon even many people won´t believe it . second I have couples of questions for you :
.How can we believe that jaqen face is true (the one arya saw half white half red) because many people assuming that is not true .?
.why jaqen is working alone to get his dragon , without the help of varys or anyone , he doesn´t have fellowship like danny ?
and last, I think danny and brienne have seen a similar vision about a man and a girl stand alone in a fallen city does this indicates something ? and i´m so sorry about my questions hhhh.
thank you
Thank you :) I just wanted to say again that I wasn't the person who guessed that Jaqen was Aegon. Many people before me realized that. You can find some old discussions on westeros.org and other message boards. I don't want to take all the credit for it. However, everything I write here about Jaqen's journey is my explanation. People have all sorts of ideas of what happened. I often disagree with them so what you see here is mine.
But to the point.
You probably noticed that A Song of Ice and Fire is written a bit like a crime story. The series begins with a mysterious death of Jon Arryn and then Ned Stark starts his investigation. Then, the "detective" himself is murdered and the chain of deaths continues. Ned's death was the result of the unfair trial but following victims died under even stranger circumstances. You remember Joffrey and Tywin, to name but a few. We also get the prophecy of the Valonqar who is supposed to ruin Cersei's life. Some people accuse Tyrion but then we get Mercy chapter where the true killer is revealed: he is hiding in Tyrion's shade and his name is the Stranger. Interestingly enough, we have already met the Stranger who first introduced himself as Jaqen H'ghar, who is a professional killer and a very important person in Arya's life. So this is a crime story where the characters and the readers are supposed to find the real killer. In crime stories, authors always introduce the killer very early but they usually present him as a person not involved in the main plot so out of suspicion. And so it happens that GRRM also introduced Jaqen and his work quite early. And we tend to believe that he is a random criminal locked in the black cells. We see his true face like in the classic detective book and then GRRM starts messing with us and gives Jaqen a new face and then another. So this is the first reason why this face is real: it's how things work in crime stories.
Another factor is GRRM's description of Targaryens on his Not a Blog. Back in the days when the comments were still allowed, GRRM used to respond to his readers. He talked about the Targaryens's fine chiseled aristocratic features and then he described Jaqen in almost the same words in the books "slender, fine-featured...the handsome one". In addition to his beautiful face, Jaqen has white Valyrian hair. GRRM makes him tall and slender too. Jaqen is supposed to be a criminal and yet he has the manners of the aristocrat. He is clever and educated, he speaks High Valyrian. If he is a Targaryen, he doesn't need another face - he already looks like a Targ.
Then we see the resemblance to the weirwood tree. Arya observes that Jaqen seems like a tree where he is standing next to the weirwood. His hair is the color of weirwood: Valyrian white and blood red like the song of ice and fire. And like you mentioned, the image of the weirwood that looks like a young man with a girl by his side appears later in the books, in Brienne POV. There is too much of importance to this face to dismiss it as fake.
There is also a notable reference to Jaqen and Bloodraven in the prologue to A Clash of Kings when the maesters at Dragonstone receive the raven. The raven that arrives is white as snow and larger than any hawk, with the bright black eyes that meant it was no mere albino, but a truebred white raven of the Citadel. The "mere albino" is Bloodraven. Jaqen also has white hair but is a true born Targaryen and the rightful king and more powerful than Brynden. Perhaps Jaqen has black eyes like Elia. Jaqen is also a student at the Citadel later in the books so he is "the reaven of the Citadel". When the raven starts to talk he is very polite, he bows his head and calls Shireen "Lady" which mirrors Jaqen's courtesy towards Arya in Harrenhal where he calls her "My Lady of Stark". It is so symbolic that GRRM is using a raven to make a reference to Jaqen because of what we later learn about Bloodraven and the magic of weirwoods. And here in the prologue we learn that he is more powerful than Brynden, the last greenseer.
A reader needs to work a little to understand Jaqen's role in the books but this is GRRM's intention. It's supposed to be a big mystery. Like he has always been saying, he laid out breadcrumbs for us to pick up and get the true meaning behind the story.
Next part of your question: the fellowship of Jaqen or the lack of it. When we talk about Varys I think that he might be helping Jaqen. We should remember that it is Illyrio who has the gold to buy the army and it was Illyrio who took Jaqen in after Rhaegar had lost the war. I think that Illyrio decided to get rid of J/Aegon after Serra gave birth to a boy who looked like a Targaryen prince. Illyrio in the books is a carbon copy of Aegon IV so he must be one of the King's successors. He is not a legitimate Targaryen and so he can't push his claim but he got his hands on Rhaegar's son and then he got a boy who looked a lot like Aegon. So, he swapped the boys and decided to raise Young Griff like Rhaegar wished his son to be raised and make him the king. I think that he told Varys to get rid of Aegon, to kill him or sell into slavery but Varys took the boy to Braavos and left him with the Faceless Men. Please, remember that Illyrio stole all the things that used to belong to Aegon. He has the boxes filled with the boy's clothing, the silver, the armor of his guardians, the court clothes. He might have had Aegon's dragons's eggs too but he gave them to Daenerys. So now Aegon has to earn his dragon himself. He was robbed and abandoned, that's why he is alone. I still think that Varys is secretly rooting for him and might turn sides when Young Griff dies. You may be interested in re-reading the prologue to A Feast for Crows for the reference to Aegon the Conqueror and Jaqen. There is a mention of Aegon's single-dragoned conquest of Westeros. Now, Jaqen comes to Oldtown to learn how to hatch his dragon's egg and he is surely dreaming of conquering Westeros with his dragon like Aegon I did it.
The last part of your question, the symbolism of weirwoods. Yes, yes and yes: the weirwood that Brienne sees symbolizes J/Aegon and Arya. It means that they are connected to the powerful weirwood magic. They will join the old gods someday. Their souls are immortal and they will live together in weirwoods for eternity.
I'm sorry but I can't remember which Daenerys's vision you have in mind. It would be great if you could find the quote from the books, thank you in advance!
I apologize for the long answer. There is just so much book material to explain.
Thank you for another interesting question :)

You and the pack members spend some time in the meeting room for sure, with the alphas carefully discussing all of the details about the filming.
While they have gone to similar locations before, this time the filming would be held in a completely different space, which required a bit of information for sure.
The manager, Sejin, showed them all a few photos of the place, mostly overlooks of the spot where you would all (hopefully) be staying.
The photo, taken presumably via a drone, showed a beautiful, healthy-looking forest surrounding a large, modern villa.
There were many things around the area, including a very well-kept tea garden and a large wooden pier leading to water. You weren't sure if it was the ocean or a lake, but the water was a nice dark shade of blue and teal.
On another photo, taken from a different view, you could see a part of a beautiful pool, partly hidden inside a building. Was it also indoors?
There was a beautiful patio, and behind the house was a nice view—mountains ripping through the ground, forest, and trees mostly all the way around.
„We won't spoil you everything, but just know it's a similar style or even better than last time. I think you guys will like it. We also decided that you guys could include more activities this time since it's not lockdown anymore.
We have ordered you all a stay at the traditional spa, and one day we will take you there for a few hours. I'll call in later to see if it's okay to bring Y/N too...”
The older man said gently, smiling at you all. Seriously, a spa too? You didn't get to really visit a proper one ever, since it was always sort of classified as a useless expense, so you never went.
But after seeing a few visits to traditional spas online, you wanted to try yourself. Maybe you would enjoy it!
„It looks nice, hyung." Jin murmured, looking over the photo on his phone since they received it through email.
The alpha, just looking at the place for a few glances, felt satisfied. Neither of them would really complain under the given situation; this was treated partly as a vacation for them; therefore, it already had them excited as it is.
But if they would travel with you, to which all the points have been looking so far, it would mean you would have to get settled in the place well.
After all, they would leave to record in a few months, which most likely will mean you will already, hopefully, be settled with the pack, used to their scents and the packhouse.
The pack members weren't sure how well you did with travelling, especially long distance.
Sure, they were planning on taking you to their families some time soon if everything would go well, but that wouldn't mean you might do well in a completely new area.
Since they took you to Hybe this morning, you have been quite timid and unsettled; don't think they didn't notice.
Of course, it was given that it would happen, and the alphas were neither angry nor disappointed with you and understood that it also had to do with the many staff employed.
With all the new scents of people you didn't know, the giant majority of them were alphas and sometimes betas, and that was okay.
But still, would you be okay if you went with them to their homes? How about the new cities? If you would go to visit Hobi's home in Gwangju, that would be the farthest from Seoul and therefore their packhouse.
The scent would naturally be quite different, and it might be difficult for you to adjust in the short time frame. They were hoping to spend a night with their families too; would that go okay?
The eldest alpha knew that any of them would pack right back up and be on their way to the train station if they noticed you were not adjusting well.
Maybe one of the family members wouldn't be nice to you, though Jin hoped that wouldn't happen. Maybe you would just have a bad day overall; the train ride was not smooth and too long for you to sleep through, and you just wouldn't be happy at all.
Or maybe you would miss them too much, the sudden separation too quick and harsh on your small, gentle, and sweet little heart.
You could start crying and just fully drop on them if that would happen, and the alpha was so sure if that would truly happen, though he prayed for it not, they would all gather as quickly as possible.
The alpha felt his thoughts run quickly, thinking about all the possible issues and problems that might occur.
Of course they would take you with them. You seemed to be so excited that it made him want to give anything to you to make you happy again, but still, naturally, he felt some worry.
„Yeah, it's nice. Would you like to go to the spa too, princess?” Gently running his fingers through your hair, Jimin softly smiled at you, his eyes gentle.
Nodding a little bit, you shrugged your shoulders. There was a possibility you wouldn't be able to go at all after all, so what was the point in getting too excited?
„Alphas will take you then, little kitty.” Yoongi whispered to you, pecking the top of your head as a gentle gesture. Rubbing his thumb over your knuckles, the alpha smiled softly at you.
It didn't take much longer for them all to go through the tremendous amount of details—they had to discuss how many hours of footage would be filmed every day, if there would be cameras installed, then where, and go over the staff and security members included in.
The camera team would stay in a smaller cabin, close but still far enough to be out of range to really see, where they would go over the recorded footage and help with any issues if needed.
After Sejin told them about the den room, they could get prepared for them if they wished for it to be in the location too. After having you whisper out a soft 'yes, please', the alphas were quick to get a little worried about any cameras in the area.
The packmembers could imagine you being shy and quiet in front of the cameras, and while they would try their very best to keep you calm and not too worried in front of the seemingly very intimidating devices, you might have a hard time adjusting in such a short while.
It would be only about 14 days after all, and even when they hoped you wouldn't just feel too timid in front of the camera team, they had already started thinking about the possibility you would be.
In such a case, a space for you to just bundle up and rest for a while without any worries or stress for you to endure would be key. They had to have that possibility for you; it was very important.
And therefore, after a short discussion about only the very minimal footage that would be taken in the den, and only if you all agreed and there would be permission to film, Sejin agreed, quickly writing himself a note to make sure to remember.
The packmembers didn't want you to get worried over the fact that your nest—something so visibly and obviously vulnerable to make and keep for omegas—would be shown to, frankly, to millions of strangers.
Soon, the documents have been signed after minor adjustments were made. Taking your hand in his, Jimin gently pulled you from the table, leading you to the doors after discussing a few things with Sejin and the other manager too.
„Come on, my princess, do you want to go home already? Or do you want to stay here for a little while longer?” The alpha asked you softly, both of his hands placed near your temples as he watched you fondly.
„Can w-we go home, please?” You whispered softly. You didn't really like the building too much. You were getting used to it now that you have been here for a longer time, but still, the many, unknown people passing by and giving you odd glances got to you a little.
Pecking your forehead gently, Jimin pulled you to himself for a few moments. „I'm sorry, my sweet precious baby, but alphas will have to stay in for a little while longer. I have to go to a dance practice, princess, but Taehyungie can take you home. How about that?”
Gently telling you, the older man watched how a small, obviously dissatisfied frown settled on your face. Giggling to himself, the alpha pecked the small scrunch formed between your eyebrows, smiling widely.
„O-okay, oppa...” You whispered, hoping to go home with all of them, but it was okay. They would get home eventually. When did you start calling the packhouse your home anyway?
Hugging you close to himself, Jimin let his soft scent linger on you. He was gentle and caring as he said his sweet goodbyes.
The other packmembers soon also left, a mingle of: „Stay close to Hyung Little Bunbun; Alpha will see you soon.; „Be a good little kitten for alpha."; „We will be home soon, Sunny-Bub, don't worry!” ringing through the hallway as Taehyung took your palm in his, leading you over to the entrance.
After you both got over to the lobby, with the alpha already calling one of their personal drivers, the man gently hugged you, sighing softly, his chin tucking your head under his face.
You were left in a small surprise, shocked at the blatant display of affection, even though you were both standing quite close to the reception desk.
Though the calm beta sitting behind the computer didn't pay either of you much mind, the gentle clicking noise of the keyboard was soft to your ears.
„What would you like to do, baby? It's only the afternoon still, sweetheart. We can go somewhere if you want." Taehyung asked you softly, smiling from ear to ear at how close you were to his scent gland.
Gently running his fingers through the very tips of your hair, the alpha kept his voice gentle, even though the naturally deep rumble was quite far from it.
„Okay, oppa,” you answered softly, breathing in his heavy scent. Happy that you agreed, the alpha's phone softly dinged, notifying you both that the driver was in front of the building.
Adjusting your coat for you, he found a mask in his pocket, helping you put yours on, smiling sweetly at you, and giggling softly. „You're adorable, my baby." He whispered gently, kissing your forehead in a quick peck.
Hiding most of his face himself, Taehyung adjusted his coat, taking your hand in his as he led you through the doors outside, the suddenly much colder air hitting you both like a tidal wave.
There was a black car right in front of the building, its engine running. Opening the back doors for you, the alpha gently helped you slide behind the passenger seat, bending over to adjust the seatbelt around you.
Smiling so widely you could see it in the alpha's eyes, he closed the doors gently, making sure the sound wouldn't be too harsh.
Sliding into the passenger seat next to the driver, the alpha buckled up himself, turning to you and checking if everything was okay. You were looking out of the car; the windows tinted for privacy.
Telling the driver to just take him to their packhouse for now, Tae looked through the available music and radio stations, though there wasn't really anything.
Sighing softly, the alpha hoped he could make the drive pleasant for you, but hopefully you would be okay. He prayed.
Their drivers, and mostly all of their security guards too, had to wear scent blockers so their scents wouldn't accidentally stick to the alpha's clothes.
They wouldn't necessarily mind, but it could be unsettling and agitating, and now that you were with them, it was even more important.
They could imagine you not liking the scent of another alpha on them or yourself, and so it was a good precaution to take.
The driver was quiet, not really striking up a conversation, only making sure to drive extra safely after Taehyung told him he needed to be careful with you in the car with them.
The vehicle stopped in front of the house, the engine turned on as the alpha climbed out of his seat, opening the doors for you before he helped you undo the seatbelt, seeing your fingers struggling.
„It's okay, babycheeks; Alpha will do it, sweet baby.” He whispered gently, his arms then wrapping around your waist, pulling you up to his chest.
He didn't let you stand on your own; the freshly fallen snow and the ice hidden underneath were worrying him on the inside too much to let that happen.
And so, the alpha gently pulled you closer to his body, helping you wrap your legs around his waist. Holding you close to himself, he softly chuckled at how close your face was to his scent gland. The slight tickle made him feel sweet.
Waving the driver off, the car soon backed out of the driveway. Taehyung took you to the packhouse entrance, putting in the long passcode and then using his key to unlock the door.
Switching on the lights, he sat you down on the floor carefully, shutting the doors behind you. „Come on, babycheeks, let's go rest for a little while.” He whispered gently, helping you untie the cute, fluffy boots they chose for you.
Setting them aside, the alpha hung your coat up before he quickly got rid of his own and his boots too. Seeing you waiting for him, a soft yawn escaped your lips had him smiling once again.
„Are you sleepy, baby? Aigoo... cute... Come on, let's go, babycheeks..." He said gently, picking you up once again, not letting you even have a chance to go on your own.
Taehyung walked you both over to the couch, too lazy to go upstairs to his room. Settling you on the sofa, he crawled next to you, laying behind you.
Pulling you close to his chest, the man gently let his chin and cheeks rub against your hair, his scent fully covering yours. You smiled a little, basking in the affection with your eyes closed.
He scented you for a few seconds, his lips occasionally meeting your cheek and forehead, but after he noticed you getting more and more sleepy and tired, he slowed down and rested himself.
Turning on the TV, he gave you the remote, letting you choose whichever movie or series you wanted to see.
Covering you both with a soft blanket, Taehyung let you rest against him, slight rumbles coming from his chest in content.
„Narnia? What a great choice, my sweet babycheeks! I haven't seen that in a long while...” The alpha whispered, pecking your temple as you rested your eyes. The noise turned on just quietly.
You found comfort in the movie, but since you were used to watching it in Japanese as your brother was obsessed with it when you were young, you never heard the Korean dubbing.
It sounded quite weird to you, but after you realised the dialogues really just stayed the same, you settled well, Taehyung's hands gently caressing your sides and arms, sweet and gentle.
You soon fell asleep—a nap that you didn't even know you needed comforting. When the alpha noticed you were in dreamland, he smiled widely, so happy you let him rest with you.
Having you close to himself while sleeping, he felt his deepest needs and wishes he didn't realise he even felt—until now—fullfill.
There was something so deeply satisfying for him, and honestly, for all of them, in having you let your vulnerable side fully out in front of them, leaving them to protect you and take care of everything while you napped.
There couldn't be much of a better feeling than this, the alpha realised, pulling you even closer.
Well, maybe if it were in the den. They seriously needed to get the room started, considering how much both they and you seemed to start to need it.
He could already imagine it so well—all of you falling asleep together in a soft, cuddled-up, warm mess, invited into your nest if you would let them.
They might not need the blankets to cover themselves with; after all, even though it was very cold this December, most of them slept with a summer duvet that was thin and not too heavy.
On the other hand, you had been carefully tucked away into many thick duvets, blankets, and pillows, the alphas making sure you wouldn't wake up from coldness.
Sometimes, when Namjoon would take them out on a camping trip, they would bring hammocks to sleep in.
In theory, they sounded quite comfortable and nice to lay around in; they were a lot less heavy too, so their backpacks wouldn't be that big and bulky.
But when it got to the aftermath of the sleep, most of them would have issues falling asleep in the night.
Sure, Yoongi or Jungkook did drop out within a few minutes; they are just naturally tired, and both could sleep anywhere. But he or Jin sometimes struggled with going to sleep.
And on that one trip, the one that they had this may, the nights were so unreasonably cold that it reminded him of late autumn weather.
During the day, it was more than fine; the occasional breeze was nice to feel as they would get too hot and sweaty otherwise throughout the hike, but as it got into the night, it wasn't that pretty.
They had sleeping bags and even brought the heavier ones, but still, not being able to sleep because of the cold wasn't that nice.
The packmembers wanted to take you camping; they might do it early this spring when it would get nicer out and would be possible, but a hammock was out of options for Taehyung.
The alpha didn't want you to grow cold during the night like he did. He wanted you to sleep comfortable, warm, and with no reason to worry; after all, they would take care of everything now.
He didn't want you to fall asleep because of pure exhaustion, like they would sometimes do in their earlier, more stressful years.
Tae knew that Namjoon would very happily plan a two-day trip for all of you, and while Yoongi would usually grumble and say how it's unreasonable and they could just stay home, the young alpha also knew that if you would look forward to it, which he could imagine you doing, Yoongi would not say a word.
The packmembers would bring a tent then, most likely, maybe two or three, so they wouldn't have to worry about the large space the giant one would take up.
Well, maybe you would like to sleep as a pack, and then they would carry it. But it was okay; that was only a small issue to worry about.
Taehyung knew he would keep you well warmed up during the night. It would be most convenient for all of you to bring sleeping bags, and so you wouldn't be able to truly cuddle during the night like you all might want to do.
But the alpha knew that if you would wake up during the night, the air too chilly and cold for you to rest properly, shivering with your lips blue, he wouldn't hesitate to zip you up into his own sleeping bag.
Just the thought of you being cold and uncomfortable had him hold you closer, his hands gently caressing your sides in gentle circles.
„My babycheeks, it's all good now...Alpha is here."
He whispered gently, more to calm himself, as his imagination felt too real for a moment there, the need to comfort you too strong.

adding thoughts to this post re: what john epler had to say about the after-credits scene in veilguard:
really do think the negative reaction to it has been a bit disproportionate considering the actual content of the scene. epler's point about word choice being deliberate so as to not negate the agency of the characters in dragon age very much tracks with the story.
the important thing to note is that each and every moment depicted in the scene comes from each character making decisions that are in accord with their worst instincts: pride, greed, the desire to exert control over others. at the same time, many of these instincts are born of trauma, of losing one's way, of some twisting one's primal survival instinct into complete selfishness.
these flaws have been shown in every game to be doorways for corruption. particularly, they have been shown to make individuals weaker to possession. but while possession can (and often does) lead to a loss of agency, the path to that end is littered with actual choices influenced by spirits who exploit a person's worst fears and qualities.
and while spirits are the most similar dynamic, at first glance, to what seems to be happening in the after-credit scene, it's not in the least exclusive to spirits. people lead people astray all the time. thedas is no stranger to manipulation subtle and over alike.
the entities introduced in the scene aren't some special omniscient omnipotent masterminds nor are the people of thedas mindless pawns. much like the tevinter magisters listening to the old gods weren't forced to enter the black city, they did that themselves with the encouragement of the old gods.
dragon age has ceaselessly made the argument that power isn't the same as godhood, and these mystery entities are no different. and idk yall but people can make choices and retain their agency even if said choices were influenced by others in myriad ways. it's not a fun thought, but it's still true.
yeah so in short i dont think the scene is negating every game that came before; instead, it's adding another layer to the events, another way in which power can be abused, but the lesson remains the same as it always has, which can't be better put than in tevinter nights: "there might have been a better choice, said a thought [contemplation] had not been allowed." and not because of some nefarious entity, but because the easy lie of inevitability is comfort in the face of choices one regrets. (aka the plot of veilguard)

Thoughts on:
The New Avatar Rumor
Tumblr media
If you haven't heard Knight edge media has claimed to have seen the first 2 finalised storyboards for the Avatar tv show that'll follow the avatar after Korra.
Here's the link to their og article
There's also an article detailing a scene
Just in case any of this is actually true here's your chance to back out now, if your still here let's get into it.
The Kyoshi Parallel -
This post will mainly be me covering what jumped out to me from their two articles. The first thing that jumped out to me was how eerily similar the outline was to the Rise of Kyoshi novel. In RoK Kyoshi is a close candidate for being the Avatar, she's overlooked however, with Yun being chosen as he's a bending prodigy. Kyoshi struggles to survive as a maid/street rat, eventually being discovered as the avatar and thrust into the plot.
Our new avatar (possibly called Pavi) was also thought to be the avatar, passed over for her more adept sister, who's raised as a false avatar, and, whilst the imposter lives in luxury, Pavi struggles on the streets.
Obviously as more information comes out this correlation could strengthen or weaken. I don't mind it, and it could be a good "the Cycle repeats itself" otherwise it might be lazy recycling, time will tell.
Seven nations -
I..... hate this I think.
I love the fith nation and it's implications in RoK, and how it's spiritually lives on in Republic city, however 3 new nations?
I think it'll dilute the potents of what made the original great. The 4 elements are literally iconic, not just in Avatar but in, like, everything. History, alchemy, medicine, ect.
Avatar's cousin, The Dragon Prince, also tried using an expanded elemental system and I think it was weaker for it. Also what will set these 3 new nations apart? Will we have 3 new elements?
Now what could happen instead is that this is a post-apocalypse, and instead this is 7 new city states. THAT I don't hate. Infact it could be really interesting to see 7 last remnants of the Avatar world, after a massive disaster.
In that sense I think our survivors would be:
The Northen Water Tribe
The Southern Water Tribe
Republic City
Caldera City
Omashu
Ba Sing Se
The Southern Air Temple
I could also see any of the other temples, not just Aangs. Kyoshi island could also be a contender.
If this new world is just these last remnants that could be incredible.
Korra's feat -
Let it be said I hate power scaling fights. So the article saying this makes Korra the strongest seems weird. Secondly, this seems out of the scope of the Avatar world. I don't think Korra will actually rip apart the tectonic plates, more likely, a meteorite or such will threaten the world, and as she mitigates the damage it'll cause these new divides.
Twins -
Watch the DearFutureMe video on twin avatars for why it better not happen. Also if it turns out one is the Dark avatar I will chew my way through the floor until I land in the depths of hell.
If its neither of those I think it'll be a fun dynamic, similar to Zuko and Azula.
Hoverboards -
O H N O.
So, I've bitched about this to my friends constantly. I have always thought a third avatar show might be impossible. Aang's era is pre-industrial/industrial revolution and then Korra is the 1940~ plus a mech.
From this you get two meh options.
Either you kill Korra very young and aim for the 60s tech wise. That'll retroactively spoil LoK however. Otherwise you let Korra live and have it set roughly in the 2000's which just feels ... wrong.
This looks like we'll get the worst of both world, with 2000's era tech + future tech alla Kuvira's mech. Along with Korra dying tragically when the 7 nations disaster occurs.
I am hopeful that the disaster might create my pet theory. Where to avoid a Y2K avatar they create an apocalypse to reset the world.
Misc -
She's a girl and an amputee, that's cool, Avatar usually handles disabled and women characters well, I know they'll be discourse™ because diversity but that's only a problem if your a bigot sooooo.
Cat companion LETS GOOOOOOOOO can't wait to get plush of it.
Possible angsty teen airbender? Cool.
All in all I'm pessimistically excited, I want to hope it'll be great but I think that type of worship will just set you up to be disappointed. Either way, time will tell.

ok, imagine like dc x dp crossover but like no one thinks phantom is a threat or anything
like maybe jazz moved out of something and moved to Gotham and Danny visits in phantom form(it's easier to fly than to drive) and like the JL and batfam check him out a bit and think "oh he's harmless it'll be fine"
(Idk but it might add to that if phantom does a similar thing to what Danny does with the gang kids in "a bus to nowhere" link: Bus to Nowhere - Chapter 1 - foldingfacets - Danny Phantom [Archive of Our Own] to add to their idea of him being harmless, plus I feel like that would just be a cute relationship for him to have :3)
any who, one day he's hanging out with the batfam and something big happens and it really just pisses Danny off or something and he uses his ghostly wail and then the entirety of Gotham just realize this ghost child we've all adopted can level the city. what. the. fuck?
I just feel like it'd be both funny as hell and confusing as fuck for everyone involved with Danny just standing there like "sooo....bat burger?'
Daw yes. Where Danny is just seen as a new meta kid, and they accept him pretty easily. Especially since Danny probably isnt there to be a vigilante, but the batkids enjoy him going on patrol with them when he's around anyways. He's a funny guy uwu hard not to like him. But yes.. he just surprises everyone when like maybe one of his enemies come after him and he just wails at the sky making them fall, sucking them up. (Like maybe huge dragon like the prince argon.. i think his name is) But even if him wailing at the sky it makes gotham feel like its in a middle of an earth quake. The batfam just collectively blinking in surprise.. before like.. yeah let's go. All rethinking their opinions on this ghost kid.

Aged Up: after everyone learned Spider saved Quaritch (who goes on to lead the ash tribes) and kick Spider out as a traitor, but Spider joins the ash tribe as Tsahik, and comes back years later to help the other tribes when they beg for the Ash clans help. Whom ever is paired in this ship, Mets the ash Na’vi that Varang wants to Spider to mate with.
I just love the idea of this with any of the pairs, Aocorro, Locorro or Nocorro.
Ok, I love this one and funny enough I was currently writing a Locorro/Aocorro story aged up future fic with Spider as a (very, very badass) Dragonborn/Mother of Dragons and FUNNY enough too they were actually based on red-skinned Na'vi (were you in my head?!) (I'm not kidding I'm 10 pages into this already!)
However, it was kind of dark (honestly, I based it on Game of Thrones so Spider is not having a good time at the beginning then he becomes basically a God leading all the Na'vi tribes against the human cities and Lo'ak and Aonung live alone to serve him)
But based on this ask, here's how it goes:
After Spider is kicked out, he struggles to survive alone in the wild and after weeks of surviving on his own, he's found by red-skinned Na'vi
At first, they're really not friendly and more or less happy stuff happen to Spider with the clan before they discover he has a gift and strange connection to Ewya when saving Varang from near death and Spider becomes one of their own, his strange humanity/power making him unique and very respected
Time skip - rumors start running of a powerful Tsahik rising in the south
When things start getting complicated with the Sky People, Jake and Tonowari have no choice but to ask for their help and the help of their powerful Tsahik
Varang accepts on the condition that their fiercest warrior mates with the tsahik
Everyone agrees even if Lo'ak is a little reluctant at being mated by "force" with some girl he doesn't know (or so he thinks) - he never bounded with Tsireya because he actually doesn't like girls but has yet to accept it
And then a few days later, the delegation of the Ash tribe arrives with the Tsahik and surprise, surprise!! It's actually Spider, older, super beautiful and Lo'ak is very, very confused because that's his bro and at the same time, it's not and damn, he's supposed to mate with his bro?!!!
Aonung finds his confusion funny and proposes to do the mating himself because he's really, really ok with this and Lo'ak glares at him
Spider has changed a lot, he's still much smaller, but he has an aura of power that keeps everyone frozen on their spot and he's very confident
Everyone is shocked, Neytiri doesn't know what to think, she's both lost between compulsory respect and disgust because a human cannot be a Tsahik, Jake is completely taken aback by Spider's apparition, Aonung is instantly smitten and Lo'ak realizes that he's actually been in love with Spider his entire life
This isn't exactly your prompt, but here's an extract of the story I was writing similar to your plot:
After Spider disappeared, all those years ago, he thought he’d never see him again. He thought him dead and he mourned him deeply. In silence. He wasn’t even aware of the true nature of his feelings for the boy back then. His brother. How this makes him laugh now! Spider was never a brother. But it took him years to realize it.
He did hear the rumors and the formidable tales of a growing power in the south, far, far from their village. He heard the rumors of the Dragonborn and the mighty warrior who bounded with the Chief of the tribe and gave birth to the Dragons World.
But like many, he thought this was a Na’vi woman and from the sanctity of his life with the Metkianya people, he paid it no heed.
Then, this mighty warrior, this mother of Dragons was said to be a human. He was intrigued but there was no interest piqued.
Anonung left to find this warrior, this human who he wanted to meet and challenge.
And finally, the rumor made this human a man and Lo’ak’s interest was piqued. Not to mention that Aonung never returned from his encounter with this human he wanted to best and conquer.
When he finally realized that this God - arose Khaleesi - was his dear, long gone Spider. He was shocked at first - his mother was furious, she hated him and all humans after Neteyam’s death - but he knew he had to join him and see for himself who this Khaleesi really was - if it really was his Spider. He rode day and night on his Ikran to Merene where the Dragonborn was said to have built the beginning of a Kingdom.
He had expected many things upon this first reunion, anticipated emotions and looks based on his now feeble memory of what the boy was like. But nothing could have prepared him for the absolute perfection that was the Dragonborn. And he pledged himself to him on the day of their reunion and for the days to come.
He wasn’t the only one who lived only to adore him. Aonung had long lost himself to a passion he could never quell. And Lo’ak remembered the rumors that did portray Khaleessi with a beauty that could not be resisted. He had seduced the dangerous Chief of the most primitive Na’vi tribe after all. And from their union, three dragons were born. A miraculous birth. A prophecy fulfilled.
His feelings for Spider were already strong. But when he saw him in his glory on that Throne, he felt his soul sip from the pores of his skin and air leave his lungs. It was more than physical perfection. It was an aura of absolute Power. A beauty and a strength that transcended everything.

King Cold Has A Thing For Saiyans
。°⚠︎°。 Disclaimer: Please understand that I am aware this is most likely not true and is simply a collection of fan ideas and headcanons. It also provides an opportunity for open discussion in the comments section for those who wish to share their thoughts.
I know what you're probably thinking. Wtf? ಠ_ಠ
As much as the fanbase is aware, Icejins (or Arcosians, but it's a preference) are asexual. In this context, 'asexual' refers to their ability to reproduce without the involvement of a second parent, meaning a partner is not required for reproduction. In terms of human sexuality, asexuality means having no sexual feelings or desires or not being sexually attracted to anyone or anything. We all know that Icejins' consistent appearances, such as Frieza, Cold, and Cooler, resemble those of Earth's lizards. Therefore, I'm inclined to say that their reproduction habits are similar.
And yes, there are certain reptilian lizards that have the ability to reproduce asexually through a process called parthenogenesis. In parthenogenesis, an unfertilized egg is able to develop into an offspring without the need for sperm to fertilize it. As a result, the offspring produced through parthenogenesis are essentially genetic clones of the "mother" lizard (putting quotations into consideration that from what we've seen, there are no female Icejins that exist). But that doesn't mean that these lizards will not engage in mating behavior when potential and suitable mates are available. Of course, while Icejins have an uncanny resemblance to lizards, they have sentience outside their basic needs.
Based on this information, this also means that the idea of the Icejins being asexual can be subjective.
So, I believe that Icejins can reproduce asexually, but it is purely a choice based on their sexual preference.
Frieza is honestly an excellent example of an Icejin who chooses to be asexual regarding reproduction and sexuality. I mean, we've seen this character appear in Dragon Ball so many times that we can conclude he is too discriminatory and supremacist to find anyone desirable. He honestly reminds me of Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones in terms of extreme narcissism, the only difference being that Frieza actually does possess intelligence.
King Cold, on the other hand, reproduces asexually, which is evidenced by the existence of his offspring Frieza and Cooler. In terms of sexual orientation, King Cold's preferences are not entirely fixed and may fluctuate between asexual and non-asexual.
And I know that Dragon Ball GT isn't really considered canon, but since there's usually a lack of storytelling that opens the history of Saiyans and their background, I like to consider that the Saiyan-Tuffle War really did happen. It also does provide some expansion of King Vegeta as a character as well.
Quick Note for those who need a refresher on the Saiyan-Tuffle War:
The Tuffles, a peaceful and technologically advanced race, shared their planet, Planet Plant, with a primitive and warlike race known as the Saiyans. The Saiyans were not native to Planet Plant; they arrived there after their homeworld, Planet Salada, was devastated by a civil war. Initially, the Tuffles and Saiyans agreed to coexist peacefully. However, due to the Tuffles' advanced technology, they prospered and lived in large, thriving cities, while the Saiyans were relegated to the outskirts and Badlands, areas that were largely deserts and barren, unprofitable land. Over time, the Saiyans felt increasingly oppressed, allegedly treated as lower-class citizens and even slaves by the Tuffle populace, which eventually led to the outbreak of war between the two races. The war between the Saiyans and Tuffles continued for about ten years, with both sides evenly matched— the Saiyans relying on their raw power and the Tuffles on their technological advancements. The turning point came when Planet Plant experienced a rare full moon, which occurs only once every 100 years (or every 7-8 years, according to the English dub). The Saiyans took advantage of this opportunity, transforming into Great Apes under the full moon's light, dramatically increasing their strength. In this form, they were able to overwhelm the Tuffles, ultimately eradicating them and bringing an end to the war. With the Tuffles defeated, the Saiyans renamed the planet to Planet Vegeta in honor of their leader.
Returning to the idea that King Cold has a particular interest in Saiyans, as explained in the Dragon Ball GT storyline about the Saiyan-Tuffle War, it wasn't long after the war ended that Planet Vegeta and its warrior inhabitants were annexed under King Cold's rule. It's also plausible for me to think that King Cold is referred to as a "king" rather than an "emperor" because his sovereignty wasn't yet vast during most of his reign. He was still in the process of expanding his empire by annexing other worlds, including Planet Vegeta, under his control.
I wouldn't say that Cold is an overtly hypersexual person. His attraction to Saiyans stems more from a fascination with something new and different. Icejins, as we've seen, are often portrayed as cold, collected people with great intelligence. On the other hand, Saiyans prioritize battle prowess and are usually arrogant and prideful in their abilities, although they definitely have some geniuses among them.
It's new. It's different. And it's not what Cold is used to. Do you see where I'm going?
Of course, I have this feeling that Cold does not see them as equals but more as entertaining pets that he now has a 'right' to do as he pleases since they're under his rule. And considering an Icejin's long life span, this is more regarded as 'a phase' than anything else.
And I'm not saying he went and dicked down King Vegeta! No, no, no, no! Because of this supposed phase, King Vegeta and King Cold had a more amicable relationship than Frieza. Still, there totally have to be some Saiyans out there who got adventurous and tried their hand at sharing a bed with the papa lizard.
Like, I can definitely imagine that a Saiyan was crazy enough to go, "Alright, I'm drunk enough to see how fucking a sentient lizard would go." And then bam! King Cold is immediately hooked on the more aggressive nature of sexual intercourse of a Saiyan.
Not that the Saiyan would be the one in control, but there's a way to be the 'bottom' and have this aggressive confidence when having sex.
King Cold is over here with his asexual ass going like, "Yooo, I like these feisty monkeys!" But he does not go to Planet Vegeta to get his scores. He likes to stalk Cold Force ships when he knows Saiyans are hanging and making pit stops on their missions.
I, unfortunately, can picture him spiking drinks. He's a tyrant leader. Not every Saiyan he encounters will want to engage intimately with him, so he will resort to other methods to ensure he gets what he desires in the end. He gives signals to bartenders or food workers to drug their drinks and meals and whisk them away to 'take care of them.' But I can't really think of him ever acting aggressively toward rejection. He's not happy about it, frowns, and broods, and will turn to the method mentioned instead. Or he will simply walk away because there happens to be more than one Saiyan aboard (which there usually is since they often group up into teams and troops).
Eventually, with this repetition of behavior from Cold, the Saiyans know what he's doing and avoid him as much as possible when on Cold Force ships and territories. And if that's not an option, they end up going along with him because they do not want to get drugged up by him.
King Vegeta is aware of Cold's lustfulness toward his subjects, but due to Cold's higher authority, he can do little except provide minimal compensation. And while you would think that would want to make the Saiyans want to get down with him to earn that reimbursement for their troubles, they are too prideful and patriotic to consider doing the hanky panky with a race that's not their own.
Frieza is totally a hater of his father's sexual interest in the Saiyans. I am a firm believer that Cold plays a part in his racism and discrimination towards them.
What do you guys think?

Heyoo! 👋 I'm new to these asks, played your game, Alaris, and OMG is it so good! Aisa and Etza are on my mind, rent free, but mostly Aisa, I simp for Aisa, idk why I find the quiet ones cute/hot, I just do. 😭
👀 *coughs* Anywayyys, first things first, I'm curious about the world building of this game, ik there's already alot in it. But now I can't help wondering just how populated humans are in this world? Cause alot of the buildings seem to look worn-down/covered in plants, I can imagine the human race not to be very populated, unless they r and I'm just being dumb lol. But I couldn't help wondering since there used to be dragons, and now their's the fae race, and god knows if there are any other races out there besides those two (which I'm assuming there aren't, but who knows?).
I'm also saying this because the village(?)/town(?)/city(?) that MC, mom, human LI's are in seem to be in a relatively small, secluded town area, unless they aren't(?). Idk, if there even are big 'cities', but just little, scattered, hidden/overgrown towns like MC is in.
I'm also also saying this because i hope to build up my Alaris OC's life/background a bit, he's currently in the works rn ✍️👀 Speaking of, do u know of what happened to the MC's father? Or are we free to HC/imagine to whatever happened to him?
Lastlyyy (this ones most important of my asks I think 👀 mostly cause of trying to build my OC's childhood lol), what is the schooling like in this world? Where do the children go to learn about their world? Do they go to a regular public school? Or mentored/tutored/homeschooled by whoever is available/able to teach them?
Speaking of which, how do children even view this world? I bet their imagination must be top notch cause of humanity's history with dragons and all lol. I can imagine them little gremlins, running around pretending to be dragons lol.
Do the children/people of this world gain their "energy"/dragon magic, or are they just born with it?
Sorry for all of these asks 😭 I wasn't expecting to ask this much honestly, I was only going to ask like, 1 question then ask for a LI ask(which I'll do in the next ask since I don't want to pile them all into one) lmao.
I tend to ramble so apologies for that, I'm just really curious about this game and it's story, I also don't want to write something in my OC's bio that's canonically incorrect lol.
🫡 Anywho, I appreciate and salute u if u read all of this, idk if there's a number limit to how many asks we can ask but I just hope this wasn't too much lol.
hello!!!! ahhh i'm so glad you liked alaris this much omg q.q it's always a compliment to know players get into the game and stories i've toiled away on ^^ your ask and interest in the game mean so much to me!!!!
i'll try my best to answer all your questions--in the future, i def recommend splitting them up into separate asks (at least in categories) since it makes it easier for me to go through and answer everything <3
✨ Human Population
so you're right in that the world of alaris isn't densely populated. there was a lot of tragedy and destruction during the great war and so as the years have gone on, nature has kinda taken over (in a healing way) which leads to the look that you see in the game. i'd say most areas in alaris are towns similar to the size of where mc and cast are located!
✨ MCs Dad
there actually is a set backstory for mc's dad. i can't give any details since it's a spoiler but will be covered in the full game! you're totally free to HC your own theory/take on MCs dad but just to be totally transparent, it may end up differing from what is shared in game. as long as you're ok with that, feel free to HC away until the game is released!
✨ Schooling System and Energy
it's all public schools in alaris! homeschooling is actually not an option because the education system helps children hone their Energy. the schooling system teaches kids on the history, giving a lot of importance to the great war, the downfall of technology, and the significance of the dragons sacrifice. and then obviously other material that we would learn irl like math, language, and extracurriculars.
the unique part of the schooling system is, like i said, kids learn how to use their Energy at school. everyone in alaris is born with some kind of Energy. it may not be very strong, but everyone has access to at least a little bit of magic. Energy usually fully manifests by the time kids enter school, which would be around 4-6. once they go to school, they'll learn what kind of Energy they have, it's uses, etc. the schooling on education is pretty heavily monitored so that central can make sure no kids pose a danger to anyone. these cases are Extremely rare though since alaris is set in a very peaceful world!
kids are definitely imaginative, but i wouldn't say Significantly More than in our own world! the main difference is probably that some of their "fantasies" are a little more accessible to them since they actually have magic!
