My new favorite Halenthir idea:
Haleth does battle, meets Caranthir, feels some feelings, heads west per canon and eventually reaches Brethil...and becomes acquainted with Finrod Nom Felagund as he tries to talk his kinsman into letting the Haladin settle in the area.
At some point, Haleth and Finrod are talking and he compliments her on her mastery of elvish languages, and she's like "oh yeah, the lord of Thargelion and his people taught us". (Note: this is not the AU where Caranthir only teaches them Quenya.) And Finrod's like, "hey, that's my annoying grumpy cousin!"
And they chat about Caranthir a bit, because Haleth also thinks Caranthir is annoying and grumpy and is willing to joke back and forth with Finrod on the subject, but she's not willing to go along with it once she feels that Caranthir is being insulted/mocked. And somewhere along the line Finrod clocks that "oh, there's something going on here".
Which is confirmed when, at one point, she mentions that Caranthir wanted her to stay and as good as proposed marriage.
She's about to reel off her usual list of rationalizations for why she couldn't possibly have, but Finrod gets there first with "oh, but of course it was for the best in the end that you left him, elves and Men are just too [dramatic gesture] metaphysically different to ever be together, it's always destined to end in tragedy", and basically tries to Athrabeth her.
Except that Haleth doesn't particularly care to be Athrabethed. Like, yes, she made the choice to do what needed to be done for her people instead of what she maybekindasorta wanted, but that was her choice. She's not really into this smarmy know-it-all elf patiently explaining to her like she's a child that she can't have Caranthir because ~*Fate*~ said so.
And, well, her people have a safe home now. Her sister-in-law will make a good enough peacetime leader until her nephew is grown up.
So she gathers the Haladin, explains what she's going to do. Most of them, naturally, opt to stay in Brethil, but a few adventurous or Thingol-averse sorts join her on the trip she ends up making back to Thargelion.
Where she marches up to Caranthir and essentially says, "I'm going to marry you to spite your irritating blond cousin."
Which is the best reason Caranthir has ever heard of for doing anything.
(They're married for like seventy years and ridiculously happy and in this one, Caranthir's brothers find out fairly early on because he won't stop sending smug letters to Finrod every year with updates on his marriage to his amazing adaneth wife and sketched peredhel baby pictures and so forth.)

Salgant is Maeglin's Gondolin dad
Maeglin, under his breath: I wish I had more enemies. Salgant, cleaning his harp, not really listening: I’m sure you will someday, honey.

So, Ingwion
The som of Ingwë, of whom we know nothing except the name (which literally means "son of Ingwë"). The closest to a legit OC I get so far. I mean, he is not an OC, but you know.
Imagine: You're a prince of the Vanyar, your father spends the whole time adoring King Manwë so it's not like he is going anywhere and you wold ever be the king of the Eldar. Also, all the tribes have their own kings and the Vanyar are very peaceful, so you don't have much to do, except maybe visiting people and judging some small issues.
You feel stuck, but you are a Vanya, so of course you are not going anywhere. You want to show to yourself and to everyone that you are a separate person than your father, but there isn't a good way to do it.
You explore Aman with your friends, and one of those friends is Finrod (well, whatever his name was back then) who is (if we go with the version that Indis was Ingwë's sister) your cousin once removed, and he is very Vanya-like, but also curious, so of course you become friends. He gets bethroted with a Vanya lady and everything is great and then the tragedy strucks and he leaves.
He leaves. His fiancee is heartbroken, but to be honest, so are his friends.
And years later he emerges from the Halls of Mandos, more mature, calmer, more melancholic, but still smiling. He is quite a celebrity (I imagine Finrod was reembodied before the Noldor returned, so for some time he was the only one available, who had been on the Exile) but at the partes he discusses things… he starts talking things that make Rúmil make a very stiff and concerned face (yes, I imagine Rúmil stayed in Aman), and those are strange, but at the same time they feel very different from the strange things Morgoth used to say back when he was called Melkor (not that you listened much to those, but you had been at some Noldorin paries back then, so you met him).
And Finrod asks questions nobody would ask. This is something new, but a new kind of new. So of course you join him, scandalous or not.
TLDR: Ingwion joining Finrod's "let's ask strange questions to the Ainur" team.
I need to write him talking with Manwë one day (or both of them, but dialogue of more than 2 is harder to write) and Ingwë being like :| (I do imagine Ingwë as a bit of inside-the-box thinker)

There was a question about childbearing phases from @eri-pl concerning the possibility of their happening twice…
from my current understanding of elvish customs the answer is ‘unlikely’, but in terms of actual possibility it comes down to whether one thinks elves age in Mandos. If they don’t, then a Curufin who is likely at oldest no more than elvish 50 could have more children, as could any of his younger cousins. If they do age, however, even Turgon and Elenwe who likely did not take more than a valian decade while in the halls would find themselves about 60, the traditional beginning of ‘old age’ for elves, and the end of their fertile period.
So traditionally, the answer is ‘if elves age in Mandos they cannot have a second childbearing phase after release.’ But this may be a bit harsh, especially regarding the house of Finwë, who are powerful elves and likely able to extend their youth and therefore fertility until even age 96, so that it’s essentially possible for any character to have more children, providing they’re of noble/powerful descent.
From my personal and *subtextual* understanding of Tolkien’s texts (of which I have only read part) I wouldn’t call this typical elven behaviour, but it is physically possible and it doesn’t defy any ‘laws’, so to speak.
tl;dr do whatever you want with your fanfic, you are canonically protected.

Wings
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Imagine Manwë getting off of you simply rubbing and groping his wings, making him cum without doing anything else. The way whines fall from those pretty lips of his when you nip softly at them, the way you can see how his cock begins throbbing as you place featherlight touches on his great wings. You're driving him insane.
Pairing: Manwë/GN!Reader
Themes: SMUT
Fic type: Imagine
Warnings: Cum, drooling, wing kink. ( Tell me if there are more. )
Rating: sweet chili chocolate | MDNI | 18+
Tumblr media
"Dove-"
The whine that falls from Manwë's lips is so pretty, full of nothing but intense pleasure and desire, your touches rendering him speechless. And oh how his lust-filled groans and indecent loud moans, that would have most on their knees, flow throughout the room freely so shamelessly and so beautifully, leaving you sopping wet as you continue to tease and grope at the softness of his great wings.
A specific stroke of your hand against the coracoid bone has the king breathless and trembling, struggling to keep himself still. More groans rumble deep within his throat as you tug at the insides of his sensitive wings, softly pulling at feathers and teasing the top bones with small licks and nips.
"Dove, let me touch-"
Your hand gives him a firm squeeze, drawing another loud, hoarse moan from him, while watching the drool trickles down the corners of his mouth, dripping down onto his stomach. With your gaze focused on the large throbbing cock in front of you, a soft and warm hand moves to the top of his left wing, only to lightly and agonizingly slowly, drag it down towards the tips of his feathers and the end of his wing. A pearl of cum forms at his tip, resulting in a smirk tugging at your lips. Tongue against teeth, you slip it through your mouth to wet your lips and gently bite down on the top of his wing, eyes remaining on the flushed tip below you.
Time stops for Manwë and he can't even feel himself anymore. Strings of cum shoot out of his large member, and all just from your blissful touches against his wings... It's embarrassing and arousing at the same time, that you have this much power over him by just a few light touches on his wings. He'll get back at you eventually though, and he won't be showing any mercy.

Something about how for most of Middle Earth’s history, the Elves that escaped from Morgoth or Sauron’s imprisonment were turned away and abandoned because their kin were so busy being afraid that the escapees were sleeper agents that would turn on them, which led to most of those escaped Elves either dying or being recaptured…
Maedhros, who was tortured for years and spent his entire life being driven by his trauma. Maeglin, whose father was so abusive that he and his mother fled for their own safety, who was still treated like an outcast and was mistrusted because of his heritage. Rog, who was tormented and whose only name we know of means “demon.” And now Adar, one of the first Elves-turned-Uruk ever, who still fights so hard to honor both his Elvish heritage and the needs of the Uruks, who is instead threatened with watching them die before he is killed slowly and painfully… yeah, I have some beef with the First and Second Age Elves.

i rember when i first read the silmarillion i really only cared about Melkor. anytime he was mentioned i was like that di caprio pointing meme. like MY SON LOOK AT MY BABY GO MY BOY GO
but now i'm like. Melkor? Do you mean Morgoth Bauglir, Moringotto, The Dark Enemy? The Lord of Slaves? The guy who got his ass kicked by High King Nolofinwe? The dude who got roasted to hell by Hurin Thalion? The man who got so lost in his greed he got devoured by the same darkness he loved so much? Yeah what a loser. What a noob. It's so sad, Alexa play Noldolante.

Bleach Coyote Starrk X Silmarillion Curufin
Ok so I should be studying for exams and that didn't work out the whole day so let's put the most cringe worthy thing that has been in my head for a long ass time. Btw I'm a huge fan of crossovers but I'm also very picky towards them so yeah this is probably weird as fuck but here goes nothing lol. This is just a way to get my two current blorbos to interact 😄
So Curvo dies and instead of going to Mandos he goes to Hueco Mundo and becomes an Arrancar.
I kinda have this whole AU just so that a. Coyote Starrk and Curvo can be friends or ship them and b. so Curvo can eat Gothmog and haunt Finrod.
I'm always on the Finrod had no right to go for the silmaril and demand his kingdom to go on a suicide charge for a couple who could have just eloped side.
So Curvo gets killed by Gwindor. How it happens is that after Luthien gets taken to Nargothrond, she manages to tell Celebrimbor that Beren has been captured along with Finrod. Celebrimbor, who is friends with Finduilas tells her this and she cries to Gwindor about it.
Gwindor confronts Curufin about it accusingly. Curufin actually really likes and cares about Finrod, (but not more than his brothers and his Oath, so he's still bitter about the betrayal from his perspective, knowing that going for the silmarils is dooming his his family), but he answers Gwindor extra cruelly. Taunting him and going, " Why don't you ask the rest of Nargothrond to save him? Oh wait, they won't go on a foolish suicide mission with no chance of success. " Finduilas who's also there cries for Finrod's death sentence and Gwindor snaps. He kills Curufin, completely cutting his head of.
Then what he did dawns on him and he and Finduilas hide the body while feeling super guilty, cause kinslaying is still kinslaying no matter how much you hate the guy.
Keep reading for the Bleach part😆
Now we get to the Bleach part! This is where the fun Shonen stuff begins!
Honestly the concept of hollows, when read with the Silmarillion mood still there, is such a horror tragedy. In Tolkien language they're basically kinslaying cannibalizing wraiths. Like even Morgoth doesn't make monsters that tragic.
Like re watching the first Bleach episodes and it's like holy shit those hollows were so creepy, then so sad and tragic cause they were your family, they just wanna stay with you after death then they can't help but hunger for you. A silm character AU of going through the plot of Orihime's brother's episode, oh the angst! That's like the worst kind of kinslaying! Loving your family so much you wanna eat them so they'll never leave you!
So yeah rotating hollow Curvo in my mind😃
But I want this story to have two perspectives with wildly different genres of a fun action packed Shonen kicking enemy ass and a horror tragedy movie of being haunted by your dead kin.
And since Curvo is my fave I'm spoiling him. He gets cool Arrancar powers and kicks ass and gets revenge for Feanor and Maedhros like an overpowered isekai protagonist.
But everyone around him especially Finrod and including his brothers are in a horror movie and for once it's not even Morgoth's fault.
I like Finrod, but whenever fics and metas have him as an angel and bash Curvo and Celegorm I get super annoyed, so he gets maximum horror here 🤣
Gonna type part 2 cause this post feels too long.

Changing of the Song - I'm back baby!!!
Guess who is back and ready to get through the next half of this story? After getting through probably the busiest part of the year (which is mostly because of university), I'm back and pretty much settled on writing this.
And you know what, I'm pretty much ahead and if you haven't been on Ao3 checking up on the updates, we are pretty much several chapters ahead. If you're new and haven't heard what the heck this is? Well, you better start back with the series as I know it will be very confusing if you start here.
As for everyone else: here are the short summaries for each chapter since I last posted on here.
Tumblr media
Chapter 3: Let's Recap, Shall We?
Back on Earth, Maedhros is going on his life-changing trip with Zuko Thena. Whilst Arwen goes on a little rescue with Pippin and Tazhin.
Chapter 4: The Trust Test
Celebrian reunites with her parents, Andrea Barnard escapes with the journal and Halle Warden discovers her company's been infiltrated.
Chapter 5: The Choices We Make
Obara gets an unexpected proposal. Maeglin has a heart-to-heart with Turgon (debatable). And Aragorn is handed the sword that will seal the darkness (wait, that's wrong).
Chapter 6: When a good woman goes to war
Eowyn and Eomer discuss about war. And Arwen fights with the people of Minas Tirith to get their city back.
Chapter 7: Silent Night
Nerdanel remembers her time with her former sister from another universe whilst Tauriel meets with the mysterious group of half-elves from the far South.
Chapter 8: The Trials of Illyria Strange
Illyria meets the former princess of Doriath before venturing down the path of enlightenment. She meets faces she once saw in her past life and the current one, offering what is best to pass the tests.
Chapter 9: To Face your Greatest fears
Arwen and Sauron meet. Illyria continues down the path of her trials which is getting much harder to pass through.
Chapter 10: Laissez-la brûler
Boromir talks to his brother and Pippin before having the courage to confess to a certain healer. Mereneth joins the battle of the North. Elrond finds himself in the midst of what's occurring in the Grey Havens.
Chapter 11: TBC
Note: I'll probably continue updating the chapter from here, only because it's so much easier.
