As a fellow Nekoma's second years enjoyer who just recently found your posts, I need to know your thoughts on that scene in season 4 where Tora is like "you can call me Tora, that's what my friends call me" and Kenma's like "meh, can I not" and they're fighting and Fukunaga runs to them with the bucket. And then an abrupt cut to Kenma crying out "Tora!" while passing the ball. Insane. Still hits me with emotions every time I rewatch it.

And also this frame from the stage play.

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THAT EPISODE OH MY GOD, I know I mostly talk about them as a group or Fukutora but Kenma and Tora's relationship is soooo special to me. They're such an important dynamic, especially for Kenma's character development!! To have someone as introverted and generally people-aversed as Kenma consider a guy with the complete opposite personality a friend is so endearing. Tora's everything he hates from how loud he is to his gung ho mindset to his boundless energy, but despite that they manage to get over their differences and build a connection. Even if he wouldn't admit it him calling Tora by his nickname is an involuntary acknowledgement of that bond. One of my favorite parts about Dumpster Battle or any Nekoma-centered arcs is watching Kenma grow to love not only volleyball but the people around him— it's great seeing him go from clinging to a childhood friend to allowing all sorts of people into his life. AND THE WAY KUROO WATCHES PROUDLY AS THEY TRY TO HUG HIM UGHH. In conclusion I can't watch that episode without losing my shit.

Slight tangent but I also love how those episodes turn Tora into more than just Tanaka 2.0. Obviously his design and personality were made to mirror him and that's his main gimick but by exploring his relationship with the other second years he becomes less two-dimensional.

Okay I really wanna know if there’s a backstory to Drew bullying the “music freaks” like people say “there’s probably no real reason yknow it’s just bullying” and like I agree? But at the same time I don’t? Because his FRIENDS are literally way more cringey and bulliable than just People Who Like Singing. Like. Did singing kill Drew’s grandma or something. Why does he tolerate all the weird stuff Henry and Liam do but when he sees two siblings want to make music he decides it’s the cringiest thing in the world. Like what. And it’s even subtly revealed that he doesn’t mind if people like music, whether this only applies to Jake cuz he likes him is up for interpretation but either way it IS something he’s actually okay with, so what the hell is going on. Did he think it was cringey once but then slowly realized through the power of friendship that being cringe isn’t that big of a deal but he already started bullying them so he couldn’t stop? Like. I’m so confused.

had an otherwordly experience today [yesterday night??] in a half asleep state at 4 am listening to radiohead and drawing. i scribbled this up while trying to stay awake and after getting some rest i spent the whole day turning a silly sketch made while sleep deprived into an actually rendered piece that i am very proud of

btw the oc in question is anchovy ^^!! she's some sort of sabertooth tiger-shark thing? i always end up drawing her snout much more seal like tbh! she wears a metallic fish helmet for no particular lore reason since she doesn't really have a backstory / a place within the world of my other characters.. i grew much less attached to her due to this very reason but i still draw her sometimes :] she is heavily inspired by in rainbows

I can't believe I didn't realize how Anna was fucked over badly by almost everyone. Her parents, Elsa, Hans, the servants, and the trolls.

Elsa accidentally hit her with her ice magic while playing, which resulted in her becoming unconscious. After being healed by one of the trolls, their solution was to erase her memories except for some. What? Her parents took it way too far by isolating both and locking them in for a little over a decade and then they fucking die!

Then, of course, she was left with the responsibility of having to bring her sister back to fix the fucking mess she created. Although she did come back eventually, Elsa was like: "Nope!" Anna probably felt hopeless and abandoned on the inside.

Hans betrayed her, and she almost fucking died because of a frozen heart! She's also apparently the queen of Arendelle now because Elsa quit, which is a lot of responsibility to put on someone else. I'm glad there was a happy ending, but damn.

Addition: I understand this may be small in the grand scheme of things, but her sister objecting to her marrying Hans must've felt so cold. (Pun intended.) She feels not so alone anymore despite knowing him for a day and a no from your sister hurts, but she probably felt a decision or freedom to do so was stripped away from her.
