@ryin-silverfish here, also known as "That person who talks a lot about FSYY and fox spirits".

This is my little LMK AU sideblog, which started off as a bunch of disjointed background notes for my fanfics, but developed into its own gigantic thing over time.

I've said elsewhere that, despite LMK (and many other JTTW adjacent works) lifting certain tidbits wholesale from FSYY——like Nezha's backstory or the Golden Dragon Shears, neither the show nor the fanworks really go into the implications of a FSYY/JTTW combined universe.

(For one, Zhao Gongming's three sisters, the Sanxiao, showing up to kick Jin and Yin's butts for stealing and breaking their treasure would be very satisfying, and also hella badass.)

Well, be the change you want, they said. 

So here it is: Journey of the Gods, aka "LMK, but FSYY is also canon and an extremely influential historical event".

Inspired by @digitaldoeslmk 's By the Book AU.

What even is FSYY?

"Ancient China's bloodiest bureaucracy recruitment program, kickstarted by a king who simped too hard for the creator goddess of humanity and the fox girl she sent to end his dynasty."

"I'll write my own God-Demon novel, with blackjacks and fox hookers and no Buddhist allegories!" ——Xu Zhonglin/Lu Xixing/Li Yunxiang

Okay, jokes aside: Investiture of the Gods(Fengshen Yanyi) is the other big "God-Demon Novel" of the Ming dynasty, written after JTTW. It's about the toppling of the Shang dynasty and its tyrannical King Zhou by King Wu of Zhou——but with more Daoism, immortals and demons helping out both sides, and ten billion magical formations and treasures. 

At the end of the story, almost everyone who died in battle were deified and became the 365 gods of the Celestial Bureaucracy, thus "Investiture of the Gods".

Here is my overview of FSYY's grand overarching conflict, a.k.a. "Why are all the Daoist immortals fighting?" 

Compared to JTTW, it's a lot more formulaic and suffers from a massive character count inflation problem, but also extremely influential in Chinese folk religion, to the point of some modern temples, like Qingyang Palace, basically worshiping characters from the novel! Like, the western equivalent would be a church worshiping Dante and Beatrice from the Divine Comedy.

(Similarly, it is to orthodox Daoism what the Divine Comedy is to medieval Christian theology, and should not be treated as actual religious scriptures.)

Okay, FSYY happened in the LMK universe. So What?

Well, first, it will really do wonders to fill up that eerily empty Celestial Realm we see in the Spider Queen special, and the Celestial Bureaucracy will no longer consist of a grand total of five people.

Secondly, it can solve some major show-not-tell problems and actually give legitimacy to the grievances of the LMK Brotherhood + Havoc in Heaven, as well as fleshing out the Celestial Realm.

Third, so many cool magical treasures.

Fourth, LBD gets an origin story, with a twist.

Fifth, I delight in quality angst and horror, and FSYY had some seriously messed-up stuff and implications.

Sixth, Celestial Bureaucracy office politics.

Seventh, Nezha kicking asses and winning fights like he should.

Eighth, crazy Xianxia shit, as you’d expect from the great-granddaddy of modern Xianxia genre.

Ninth, infodumps about Chinese mythos and history trivias.

Tenth, Underworld lore.

...As you can probably tell, this is mostly just me nerding out and writing walls of texts. I'm not a very good artist and can't do Lego style, but will probably doodle some symbol/character designs for funsies.

I also derive most of my enjoyment from writing fix-its and worldbuilding, not shipping characters. Like, I love exploring individual characters through relationships, but just ain't a fan of romance.

There will be a lot of OCs, but unless otherwise specified, all of them will be based on actual characters from FSYY and JTTW, with a few folk gods sprinkled in for funsies.

i might be a little late to this bc it's past midnight here but i just wanted to celebrate some things in my life that happened because of dan and phil:

1. literal joy, i've been living vicariously through them since 2015 lmao, their videos were a a dose of happiness and hope through the darkest part of my teen years, so i'm glad i never stopped watching them, maybe less intensely but hey i rewatch the sims and golf with friends at least yearly

2. friends! one of my closest internet friends i met through the phandom big bang in 2018 and our fandoms have drastically changed now but we still talk regularly. another friend i met was through a gc that started here on tumblr but moved to whatsapp, and then when we found out we were from the same country we got so excited we started talking in spanish for a bit and the admins kicked us out lmao, anyways she's not on tumblr anymore either but i'm staying at her place when i go to london for tit next year (hopefully) yay

3. muse... oh god they introduced me to muse and i couldn't escape, bc i'm a music nerd they became one of my top 5 fave bands. the time i saw muse live was a milestone in my life, buying a concert ticket with my own money, and going alone, i might have struggled to avoid being trampled in the circle pit in knights of cydonia but i got out of it alive and it's now one of my favorite memories

4. this community ! i've been a lurker since forever and just this year i've been turning this blog into mainly dnp, i never wanted to make a sideblog bc i didn't make much og content so there was no point... look at me now actually using this blog as a blog for my thoughts and shit about dnp, so turns out the point was to feel like an active part of the phandom, and i do. i really do. thanks everyone (especially my mutuals i love y'all so much even if we don't ever talk)

oh holy shit this is ask is SO SWEET :,) thank you so much anon and i’m so happy to hear it made you want to get back into coding! we seriously need a tumblr theme renaissance. what i would give to see people coding and sharing/reblogging themes like the older days on tumblr. life could be dream.

i learned html and css from making my own tumblr themes as a kid! i think tumblr themes are literally such a good introduction into learning front-end development. BUT to be fair i also took a few programming classes and was a big coding nerd in school and that definitely helped me become a lot more comfortable with making themes from scratch and adding custom script. if you are interested in learning javascript, learnjavascript.online is a great source for starting out and getting some practice!

i think a great way to get your bearings is to look at some base themes and poke around at the code just to familiarize yourself with some of the tumblr-specific syntax. @theme-hunter has a great database of themes to look at with some tutorials for beginners compiled here. i think the best way to learn how div blocks function and what you are capable of changing is by playing around with preexisting code and seeing what you can create. i did this until i was comfortable enough to make a few base themes of my own from scratch that i can go back and reference when starting a new theme or coding project.

tumblr also has a list of their block elements online with some introduction to custom themes, which is helpful to reference when styling the features built into each tumblr blog like title, descriptions, posts, notes, etc.

as far as tips for newcomers, here’s a few things top of mind:

google is your best friend, seriously, i can't tell you how many times i am googling the most rudimentary of things because i'm always forgetting little syntax things. chances are, if there's something you want to achieve with code there will be someone on stack overflow with some advice, or a tutorial on codepen or w3schools that you can use as reference.

troubleshoot with inspect element! i usually build my code straight into the tumblr theme html and css on a sideblog, save, and then keep a tab of that blog open that i can refresh and inspect element to look for errors in the console. i think firefox works the best, but i would recommend always loading your blog in a few different browsers since there is css syntax that is specific to mozilla or chrome (eg. custom scrollbars or pure-css animations)

there are lot of browser extensions that can make the coding process easier! i recommend eye dropper for pulling and matching hex codes. i also use fonts ninja a lot for getting accurate weights and names for custom fonts. a few more that come to mind are window resizer and css viewer (chrome/mozilla) if you want to check those out!

ok so I want to start with #notallmen most men are normal but they also there is a somewhat significant disparity between men and women and that's what i want to talk about

Ok so earlier today on my sideblog I made an observation about how when I go out to places where emo boys congregate or look on instagram where I thirst follow them, I notice that, not most of them, but a weird number of them have normie girlfriends vs emo girls who, if they're straight, are either single or dating an edgy man. And I've noticed that a lot of the older guys that I used to play D&D with in the game store had wives who were not approving of their hobbies, but whenever I meet a girl at a con who's with a man the man is always there at the con with her. And when I think about it these are the same fucking thing. The women in these spaces want a man who has a common interest with them but it doesn't seem that that is as big of a priority for the guys.

And it's not like normie men aren't attracted to women in subcultures, there are plenty of guys who want a nerd girl or a goth girl, but it's almost always purely sexual and women usually don't go for it because of how fetishy it gets, and the guys usually lose interest as soon as they get weird about it anyway. like they want to fuck the girl in striped thigh high socks they're not really that into the girl in the rit dyed gown.

So i came to the conclusion that it's a misogyny thing probably. Like I want a man who shares my interests and who wants to do stuff with me, I assume that's most people's motive for dating within their own subculture. It's certainly mine. But goth girls are certainly less conventionally attractive than regular women, thats like... the whole point of the way we do our hair and faces and of getting tattoos, to look weird and out there and unconventional. And reguardless of what they're personally attracted to, having a conventionally attractive partner is definitely a status symbol, especially for a straight man.

Then I started thinking about other ways that guys' dating habits differ and I remembered my straight girl friend who's non white talking about how MOC are more likely to date white women than the other way around, and I remembered a post going around on here talking about how a disabling event is more likely to cause a man to leave than the other way around. And obviously that's not the same thing, but when I think about it it sort of stems from the same impulse that men seem to have to want to be seen with a woman that gives them some sort of social clout.

And then I remembered that incels have this weird theory of hypergamy where they think that all women want to date Chad (highly attractive man) and that's why they can't get laid. but like, there's way more hypergamous men than there are hypergamous women. The one instance I can think of where women are more likely to marry up than men is not physical attractiveness, because I've seen way more mid men with hot women than the other way around. It's money. Historically women have been more likely to try to marry rich men, but the moment you give women their own jobs and bank accounts that shit evens the fuck out and suddenly you have broke men being supported by their girlfriends and wives. Just in my own family my female relatives' inlaws are broker on average than my male relatives' inlaws.

So maybe I just rediscovered the Madonna/whore complex but I think it's really odd that I can see the the ramifications of this trend without even being in straight spaces that often. Like how is my gay ass who actively spurns straight spaces as often as I can noticing that men are dating women who don't make sense for them but who make them look good or whom are conventionally attractive meanwhile women are mostly with guys who share interests or background.

again most guys don't date like this but a weird number of them do. such a weird number that I noticed it despite my incredibly limited engagement with heterosexual culture.

erm so this is a writing for an au @wyrmswears and I made =^-^= ermm so basically. kristoph defends Simon for ur-1 and he doesn’t go to jail and kristoph mentors athena. this takes place post 4-1, pre 4-4.

the corridor of the prison is familiar at this point. smooth grey concrete, off white floors, dingy bulbs from the ceiling with opaque lampshades, illuminating spotlights in the hall rather then every crevice.

perhaps it’s more accurate that way, Athena thinks. spotlights every few feet, usually parallel to a set of bars built into the wall. whenever she walks under one she feels like there are hundreds of eyes on her, watching her walk out hunched and nervous, holding a stack of papers so tight to her chest the edges are digging into her fingers and giving her papercuts.

very few of the cells in this corridor are occupied, as is standerd the closer they are to the solitary cells. the ones that are are the ones she walks a little faster past, with her ears ringing from nerves so much she can’t even hear whatever it is they tell whenever someone walks by.

She reaches the end of the corridor that leads into the detention center, and goes through the normal checks that happen when one enters and exits a prison.

she keeps her chin tucked against her chest and tries to make herself even smaller then she already is while walking to the door. once she reaches the exit, she can breathe.

but instead of a door, she crashes face first into someone else, both being thrown back. Athena lands on her hands and knees from trying to twist away from whatever foreign contact that was while falling, facing away from them.

the reports, she thinks. they have scattered all over the ground, and she can already see a few of them that she landed on have had dirt from the floors transferred onto them. Kristoph will be upset that they are dirty. he won’t take it out on her, of course. but she knows it upsets him by the spike of discord in his heart and the way he purses his lips when he sees something dirty.

Athena tried to gather them as quickly as possible, both in a fleeting attempt to keep them from getting dirtier and to prevent anyone from seeing what it is she is carrying. almost as if on cue, she sees the person she presumably bumped into reach out and pick up the paper that flew out to the right, and had landed somewhere near their foot.

Oh god. Athena thinks. The profile on the new detective. kristoph requested it after the former detective who worked with him was arrested. he said he needed allies outside in order to expose the real truth, and that included in the police department.

the hand now holding the detectives profile leads up to a body and a face that sends Athena’s heart from skipping to not beating at all. the hair is almost identical, and his eyes and nose are the same. But his skin is a little more tanned, and his clothes are far too… rebellious for kristophs tastes.

Her mind reels itself back in as she realizes, no, kristoph did not miraculously break out of his cell to see her fall and drop the documents he stressed are to be kept an utmost secret all over the detention center floor. Instead she is faced with his younger brother.

“Fraulein.. cykes, was it? What are you doing running out of the prison block like a madman?” His tone is neutral, and unaccusatory in nature, but she picks up the spike of emotions from him and sees the same pinched face kristoph made when he was trying to hold back his frustration.

Athena jumps up from the floor too quickly, making herself dizzy in the process. She has collected all the papers but the one the other Gavin is holding, which he is subtly trying to read while also trying to not make it obvious.

She stumbles over her words so much nothing coherent comes out, just mumbled apologies for bumping into him and dancing around the question he asked. She reaches out for the paper in his hand, and sees her hand is shaking.

“Is this.. a psychological profile? Why are you carrying this in and out of a facility like this?” Suspicion creeps into his voice, but now his face shows concern, and his heart is steadily filling with a combination of fear and dread.

Athena tries to stutter out an excuse, “I.. im just holding these for someone- I need to get going, im ah, assisting simon with gathering some things” her voice shakes so much any chance she had a being convincing has disappeared out of thin air, and as she tries to stumble past him.

Klavier Gavin stops her, putting a hand on her shoulder and while not forceful, prevents her from going past him. “Fraulein. Why are you carrying a stack of psychological reports out from the hall that leads to my brother cell?” She can’t see his face anymore. His heart is full of so many emotions that in the state she’s in she can’t parse them out.

Her mind is flooding with panic and fear and so many emotions that it drowns out the small part of her brain still fighting to come up with some excuse that instead tears just start pouring out of her eyes.

she tries to stutter out something, anything, but instead just sobs, and once again drops the papers to instead cover her mouth and start desperately trying to scrub the tears out her eyes.

it’s ineffective, and only serves to make it harder for her to breath through the hiccuping and the snot that’s starting to dribble out her nose. klavier has shifted from standing beside her to in front of her, and from what she can see through blurry eyes has an incredibly distrssed look on his face, any distrust he was harboring abandoned.

Athena continues to just stand in front of him crying, wiping snot and tears from her face only for more to appear. She recognizes a German swear being said by klavier before being given a very, awkward Pat on the back, that leads into an even more awkward hug.

She accepts it and begins to cry into the man’s shirt rather then her own sleeves, and is guided out of the detention center and eventually into a car, only realizing when her newly acquired tissue gently pushes her into a seat before going around the car and sliding into the drivers side.

The car doors are closed and Athena only briefly looks around before being offered a tissue box and instead refocuses on crying. by the time she has finished there is a sizable amount of tissues on the floor board of the passenger seat, and she is still sniffling, and undoubtedly looking worse for wear.

Athena looks back up, remember she is in the presence of someone who just bumped into her and then watched her have a breakdown. He sits there a bit awkwardly, but looking at her with a concerned, if not pitiful look. “Are you alright, fraulein cykes?”

She tries to open her mouth, but fails to find the energy to do that, much less speak. instead, she just sniffle and rests her head on her knees while rubbing at her eyes.

“Ah, It’s fine if you don’t want to talk. although, you don’t look alright. Is there somewhere I can take you? Home, perhaps?”

Her hands grip into her sleeves as she considers her options. Home? She can’t go there. Not in this state. Simon would want to know why she was in this state, and she can’t explain that to him. She shakes her head no, chin bumping against her knees.

klavier is turned away, obviously thinking. “the prison parking lot isn’t exactly the best place to calm down at, speaking from experience..” he trails off thinking. “Uh, I could take you to my apartment, if you are ok with that? I have a dog. Those usually help people calm down, ja?”

“Why? Why are you trying to help me?” Athena asks, throat rough from the crying. “your heart is screaming, and you obviously don’t trust me, much less know me, so why?”

“Mein bruder.. you have known him for years, ja? I’m simply.. extending a courtesy.” He says, trying to sound cheery but instead of just comes out sad.

Athena tears up again, and in an attempt to stop herself from crying once more, averts her gaze to look around the car. she sees the profiles she dropped, stacked on the enter console, crumbled and dirty.

why am I even doing this? why… why can’t I let go? Athena buried her head in her knees again, while klavier struggled to get a seatbelt around her. “I just want to get away from here” she mumbled, trying to make herself smaller in the car.

the engine started up and the car shifted into driver, and Athena leaned her body against the door in an attempt to stabilize herself, with her cheek pressed against the cold window. in the faint reflection she could make out puffy eyes and red and splotchy cheeks.

What.. even is happening? Is he going to arrest me? Interroge me? Put me in jail right next to his brother? Her thoughts spiraled throughout the car trip, and by the time they stopped and she was climbing out of the car her hands were shaking again.

Athena followed klavier up the stairs, and stood behind him while he unlocked the door, hugging her arms to her chest. “Make yourself at home, ja? The couch is more comfortable then it looks” he gestured over to the living room to the left of the door, and went somewhere else into the apartment.

She sat in the arm of the couch, folding into herself as if she could blend in with the couch as some kind of sad decorative pillow. Klavier walked back in, carrying a glass of water and placing it on the coffee table in front of her, not bothering with a coaster.

that’s going to leave a ring on the table. Athena tried to let her mind wander away from the fact that she was sitting in a near strangers living room and instead on the fact that he didn’t keep coasters to set drinks on. kristoph would tell him that he’s going to ruin the wood like that.

“You’re going to ruin the table like that” Athena echoed her thoughts, all while keeping her eyes on the glass of water. she could hear the couch creak and saw him sitting down on the other end in her peripherals.

“you sound a bit like him” klavier said, voice once again neutral. her eyes snap over to him from the glass and see his eyes downcast and lips pursed.

She bit her lip, trying to find something to say. “I’m sorry” is all that came out, breaking eye contact to turn back to the glass. “i. i dont know why I was there. why im doing this.”

“I… are you ok, fraulein? you are shaking like a leaf.” klavier sounded concerned again. Hand hovering like he wanted to comfort her but also was unsure if he should. Athena just continued to stare at the glass, watching water drip down the side and gather at the base.

“he asked me to help him- to help find.. the real truth. he said that he was framed, that he was innocent. that it was wright he killed the server, but he could prove it from jail.” Words started pouring out of her mouth, and she couldn’t stop even if he wanted to.

“I wanted to believe it wasn’t him. he- he saved my uncle. he is- was- one of the good lawyers. who sought the truth.” She could feel her nails digging into her exposed knees, leaving sharp marks in their wake. “deep down I know it’s not true. but I just. i cant.”

klavier sat wordlessly, watching while she talked. “He saved Simon. He can’t be bad- I’ve. Ive known him for 6 years. How can you know someone for 6 years and not know they are a murderer?”

“when he asked me to make a profile, I was too scared to say no. i don’t know why I keep bringing them.” Tears started falling down her face again, choking on her words. “I don’t know why im doing anything at all anymore”

she got too choked up to continue, just burying her face back in her knees. she sobbed into herself, while klavier sat silent in shock.

he was frozen in place, conflicted on how to comfort the crying teenager. before he could move, he heard nails click against the hardwood floors and saw vongole trot into the living room, sliding between the couch and coffee table and pressing her nose into Athena’s hand while her tail thumped against klaviers legs

Athena looked up at the sudden touch, and saw a vaguely familiar dog trying to nudge her hand off of her leg and onto his head. she complied, sliding both her hands down his head and scratching her under her chin.

Vongole jumped onto the couch, and Athena slowly unfolded her legs from her chest and let vongole scoot onto her, her tail now wagging aggressively and hitting klavier in the face while he sat silent in shock.

vongole tried to scoot even closer onto her, licking her cheek, and she let out a quiet giggle. “She was Kristoph’s. The dog, I mean. Her name is vongole” klavier managed to say between her tail swiping back and forth across his nose.

Athena slowed, but did not stop petting vongole, but clearly listening to him. “She never really liked him I think, he never let her on the furniture. Made her sleep in a crate. She seems to like you though” klavier continued.

Athena visibly swallowed, and scratched behind vongoles ears. “Yeah. I think she does” her voice was cracking and quiet, but no longer desperate and scared. Klavier gave a quiet smile, while athena buried her face in vongoles fur.

She was still shaking and hunched over, but no longer guarded, vongole successfully knocking down her walls. Klavier looked away and sighed, staring at a blank wall. Kristoph never makes things easy, huh?

Alright time for what Charanya was up to during the Druun apocalypse! There will be a couple more posts about Charanya because there is just so much I have to say about her. Since she cuts her hair after the Druun hit I think it’s a good idea to show what young teen Charanya looked like. • The months following the Druun apocalypse, Raya and Charanya were a wreck

• To make matters worse, people from other lands were trying to steal the resources Heart has

• Charanya and Raya were NOT about to let that slide. They agreed that the rest of the world hurt Heart enough

• Basically, the first few months of the apocalypse was Raya and Charanya stopping people from getting to Heart’s supplies with traps, scaring them with old legends, and so much more

• Think home alone but ratld edition

• They also went to other lands and spread rumors that bandits and Druun were overtaking Heart

• People stopped trying to take things from Heart after about five months

• When they were sure no one was going to try and take Heart’s resources, Raya set out on her quest to find Sisu

• Charanya had a different plan. She knew that while the majority of Heart’s citizens got turned to stone, there were many of their people that escaped on their own or another land’s boat

• This made her determined to help the remaining Heart citizens in any way she can. She planned to track them down and drop off extra jade, food and water on a regular basis until Raya could find Sisu and fix this mess

• Besides, someone needed watch after Heart and take care of the land so that it would stay a beautiful and prosperous place

• The girls dragged out an abandoned boat to a big lake in the middle of Heart, anchored it right in the center so that they could have a safe place to sleep even without the gem piece

• They used a small row boat to go to and from land and the boat

• Charanya realized that with her grandma gone there would be no one to take care of her hair. She figured it would be best to just let the bangs grow out. She also wanted to cut her hair so that the bangs would be as close to her real hair length as possible

• She got Raya to tie a ribbon around her hair at about shoulder length and sliced it off with her Ba’s sword. She wore a headband to keep her growing bangs out of her face

• Both girls were crushed when Raya first left to search for Sisu, but they knew they had two different missions that they had to complete

• With Raya taking the gem piece, Charanya is way less protected from the Druun than Raya. Thankfully, Heart has plenty of bodies of water

• Whenever Charanya saw the Druun she would sprint and fling herself in the nearest body of water

• This caused her habit of constantly wearing revealing clothes and bathing suits

• She figured it would be best not to ruin her clothes that covered up more. Plus she didn’t want to deal with the extra weight when she was swimming

• Since she only ever saw Raya in Heart anyways she wasn’t worried about people judging her clothing style

• I also think that Heart has very moderate temperatures so there’s never any snow and storms are a rare occasion so Charanya never had any problems with being too cold either

• She spent over a year tracking down every remaining Heart citizen, but she finally found them all shortly after her fourteenth birthday

• As she was tracking down former Heart citizens that had to move after the Druun, she was also taking care of the land itself. Maintaining crops, cleaning up places so that they didn’t look like a huge wreck, that sort of thing

• Obviously considering the fact that she’s only one person her efforts weren’t perfect but she did the best she could

• She also hid all the jade in various locations on the off chance that someone did come to Heart to steal more resources

• Since Charanya’s mom taught her about money at a young age, she knew how much the people would need

• Her plan is that once she tracked everyone down, every three months she would go to each land to drop off supplies to those citizens. She would go at the start of every new season

• Raya would also pop back in Heart every few months to get more supplies and jade so when she learned of Charanya’s plan Raya told her about the safest and fastest ways to get to each land

• The times that Raya came to restock on supplies was also when the two girls girl caught up on what the other was doing. They would also arrange to meet at random locations through out the lands to talk

• The girls thought it would be best not to exchange letters because they didn’t want anyone to find out that Heart was a relatively safe place

• The first time Charanya went out to deliver supplies she was jumpy and terrified of anyone that looked her way. Raya’s stories of her time out did NOT help either

• It was the first time she had left Heart in about a year. Not to mention was by herself this time

• She wrote a note to each family explaining the extra supplies and that she would continue doing this every three months for as long as the family needed

• She was beaming with pride seeing the happy and relived faces of her people when they saw the extra supplies. It made her all the more determined to see it through

• Her route was Tail, Fang, Spine, then Talon

• Though she didn’t have to go to Tail for very long. Within the first six months of her little Charanya delivery service pretty much everyone had been turned to stone in Tail since it’s. Ya know. A desert

• Only one Heart citizen was left there and Charanya helped him to move Fang

• Spine also didn’t last the entire apocalypse either. Though it was definitely longer than Tail, everyone turned to stone there by the time Charanya was sixteen

• The last two years of the apocalypse just going to Fang then. Talon

• She ran into some trouble in Fang when she was fifteen and hid in an abandoned tent. However, the tent was not, in fact, abandoned. There sat the most beautiful Fang warrior Charanya had ever seen

• But that story is coming later!

• Anyways, when she wasn’t taking care of Heart or dropping off supplies, Charanya would read to entertain herself

• With little to no human interaction, she had to do something to keep herself occupied

• She was already a book nerd before the Druun hit, it just became 10x worse after the fact

• When Charanya got wind of someone going around stealing gem pieces, she was ecstatic! She knew damn well it was Raya who was taking them which must have meant that finding Sisu worked!

• She raced back to Heart as soon as she heard and tried her best to not have a panic attack about whether Raya was okay

• The day the apocalypse ended, Charanya was taking a nap

• She has been swimming in the lake where her boat is because it was the only thing that would get her tired enough to sleep in the middle of the day. She couldn’t stand not knowing how Raya was doing

• She woke up to cheers, screams, and a lot of sobs

• At first she thought one of the other lands had invaded Heart, but then she saw swarms of people wearing the colors of Heart

• Raya had done it! The Druun were gone for good

• She swam out of her boat and ran as fast as she could to find her mom and grandma

• They were already calling her name and searching for her by the time she got to the place where they had become stone

• Charanya was afraid her family wouldn’t recognize her, but she was suffocated in their hug the second she made eye contact with them

• She sobbed in her mom and grandmas arms for what felt like hours

• Then she remembered Benja and went out to the bridge to see if he was okay

• She arrived when Benja and Raya were hugging and tackled them both in a hug

• It was only after the tearful reunions that she saw Sisu

• She kinda geeked out before bowing and putting the gem symbol above her head as a sign of respect

• But Sisu wasn’t having it and right for the hug

• “Awww you must be that friend of Raya I’ve heard about!” “Talking shit about me, my ray of sunshine?” “Always”

• Seeing all the lands come together warmed Charanya’s heart

• It would take time, but they would all be okay
