#sick plant

Hi tumblr, this is sort of not what I normally do or post but if anyone would be able to tell me what's going on with my plant that would be great. I've done some research and have found nothing and, in hopes of saving my plant, have come here. For some background I have this plant identified as a Cupid Peperomia but am pretty sure it's not. Technically they're two plants but as far as I know they have grown together as one. I have moss in the pot that I'm still working on identifying but my theory is that it's of the family Distichium (Fire Moss is of this family) (though this has been growing with them for almost a year and nothing as such has happened it even seemed to help). There is also a small plant growing next to them that looks similar to a grass? <- not my area of expertise. They come from a father plant of the same species, off shoots of his roots. Also their pot (while not having draining) has a lower half that water collects in.

My roommate and I are financially unstable while he does through a long, complicated diagnosis process that started as we stopped being homeless. I just got a job, and it's going to pay well and allow us to get caught up and stable, but I don't get my check for a week and a half. We have rent due on the 1st, our storage bill due at the end of the month, and we are out of food.

I wanted to let you know, that in a roundabout way, you keep me off drugs. I keep a balcony garden, but the conditions are not ideal, so my plants weren't thriving. But then you mentioned using diluted pee to fertilize them. So I started doing that and they bloomed so much that I got compliments from everyone and I keep it up to this day.

So now, whenever I'm at a party or bored at home, instead of smoking weed or taking pills, I think no, that will come out in my pee and hurt my plants, so I find some other way to occupy my time.

So you should honestly start a $2 patreon, because your advice is out here making lives better.

I am sobbing I was so embarrassed to admit that I use pee mixed with water for fertilization and it ACTUALLY HELPED YOU GET OFF DRUGS. I am so proud of you, you have no idea. You did that, you found a way to prioritize plants and it worked for you too! It really works, there's so much nitrogen in our pee and plants love it. Trees and plants in general love us so much bebause we're walking nitrogen dispensers, we make sustance for them just by living.

I'm so happy for you and your garden. Will be thinking about you all day. $2 is nothing compared to the happiness you brought to me.

The affini that shows up starts taking care of them, and is doing a fine job of respecting their autonomy. Shenanigans of some kind ensue and the human asks the affini to pretend to be their mom. The affini obliges and pulls the human into its vines, wrapping them tight and warm against its feverish charge. The human falls fast asleep and is only woken occasionally when the affini has to administer some oral antibiotics it compiled. It feeds them, it cares for them, it washes them and clothes them. Eventually the hesitant “thanks mom”s morph into them adorably saying “thank you mommy!”
