More impressions from the tank.

Can't remember if i mentioned i did not get barbs after all and instead these gorgeous opalescent platys. Who have already spawned at least two babys.

The shrimps also have their first generation hatched in this tank already. Yesterday i spotted 2 teeny tiny red youngsters but they were hiding too fast to take pics of them :)

I also have 6 different snail species here whose population is not growing all that much. The platys seem to snack on very tiny snails lol.

I'm now waiting for the perfect shot of a shrimp looking out of the coconut cave i finally glued some Java moss on. So far I've always been too slow though xD

I am currently reading shrimp posts on Shrimplr that lesser mortals could never hope to umderstand. I'm different tho

I love it when people use "shrimp" to mean "beyond the human range". like "shrimp colors" but applied to other things. "shrimp emotions" "shrimp sounds" "shrimp morality", as if shrimp are living some kind of transcendent existence that humans can never comprehend

Found my husband's old Japanese shrine aquarium decor from when he was a kid when we were gijng through stuff, and I decided to rearrange Ifrit's tank a bit to make room for it. And all the inhabitants seem to be really enjoying it! Especially the 6 new crystal shrimp I got recently, who thankfully survived my first foray into drip acclimation. Excited to see them grow!
