My Reasoning/Rating:

6/10

I quite enjoy Hanna Barbera cartoons. Although, this is not my favorite.

I do think that all of Hanna Barbera cartoons are classics and deserve a shot at being watched. Huckleberry sometimes seems too "clueless" to me, I guess is the best way to put it. However, despite that I do still enjoy these cartoons.

I watched ALOT of old cartoons when I was younger because my dad enjoyed watching old stuff.

Katniss is such an unreliable narrator. She says "Then something unexpected happens. At least, I don't expect it because I don't think of District 12 as a place that cares about me" girl you deliver strawberries to the Mayor, you hunt and trade for the district, when you fell at Prim being chosen someone caught you, when you went to Prim people parted for you, when you volunteered EVERYONE stopped. Idk how to tell you but I think you're a pillar of the community.

Peeta buring the bread and tossing some to her then taking a beating from his mom is a HUGE thing in the books.#he used his resources to help her like you all said someone should.#district 12 DID (rip) care about Katniss before the hunger games. why do you think she was allowed to hunt? or how her trades were good #these are the little ways 12 can shows Katniss they love her. but again Katniss doesn't see this and YES its because she had ptsd before the #hunger games as well. i swear some of you make it seem like d12 was all living a life of luxury and glaring down at Katniss.#other things that show Katniss is in hight standing with at least her people of d12 is her dad was known enough through d12 for peeta dad to #comment on his singing along with his commenting on her mom. also her mom is a healer in the community. yeah her parents arnt the top but #of d12 but they are/were definitely high staning in the Seam.

the most difficult thing about growing as a person socially, as in getting out of your shell and noticing that you are, is that there will still be times when it doesn’t feel like you’ve grown at all! times when you can’t really connect with anyone around you, times when you fail to enter into an existing conversation, times when you say the wrong thing (or nothing at all when in hindsight you probably should’ve). but that’s also kind of the best thing, because that’s the thing that helps you realize that sometimes, it’s not you or your lack of skills or any shortcoming. sometimes certain environments just aren’t for you and certain people aren’t your people, and that’s okay. that’s human. it’s okay to not feel the progress you have made all the time.

#and that goes for every type of growth #backstory of this post:#after I came back after a few months of doing my international internship I felt so much more confident #it was easier making friends and walking up to people #i took more chances #and generally just heard it a lot from those around me who kept telling me how much i’d changed #this was further supported by my first office job that went pretty well #but then came my grad internship. and while i love the work and have met some great people I noticed it was difficult again #there was one office lunch where no one spoke to me at all! it was my first week and I didn’t know what to say #if i should even say anything #we were all sitting at the same table #not one person even glanced my way #it made me doubt myself; i was doing so well before #was that even real? why can’t I just speak up? this is not the way to connect with people #especially in my first week!#but you know what #i was still doing well. i just had to factor in the fact that these were all middle aged people talking about reality shows i didn’t watch #and bikes i knew nothing about #as well as people who knew i was the new intern yet didn’t speak to me at all even though I’d introduced myself to them all individually #and even so #people I couldn’t really talk to about MY interests outside of work either #my point being:#it’s okay to not feel a connection with everyone you meet #it’s okay to fall back into old habits even though you’ve developed new ones #it will never unravel the process you’ve made and the connections you’ve built #you’re doing fine #after this internship I will surround myself with people who reaffirm that belief #growth in the self #self love #positivity

Woody the Woodpecker

Synopsis:

Woody Woodpecker is an animated character that appeared in theatrical short films produced by the Walter Lantz Studio and distributed by Universal Pictures between 1940 and 1972.

Woody Woodpecker cartoons were first broadcast on television in 1957 under the title The Woody Woodpecker Show. The character has been revived since then for The New Woody Woodpecker Show, that aired from 1999 to 2002. In 2017, a live-action/CGI hybrid feature film, titled simply Woody Woodpecker was released. That was followed by a new series of shorts released via YouTube beginning in 2018.

My Reasoning/Rating:

5/10

Okay look, I'll be honest. I don't think that there is anything super spectacular about Woody the Woodpecker. It's a basic cartoon show with a titular character that acts goofy and crazy and it has very much the same vibe as Looney Tunes or other shows like it.

However, I very much enjoyed watching those types of shows as a kid. In fact, I still very much enjoy watching them as an adult as well. There's just something quite refreshing to the brain when watching a show that doesn't involve a lot of plot to think about and just has a very simple format.

I think it's a show that everyone should at least watch once, if for no other reason than it being a classic that has stuck around for such a long time.

i keep seeing posts the severance tag joking about how it’s crazy that severance is really gripping even though it takes place in a “normal office setting” that looks business stock photos or whatever. and they are driving me insane because that it’s NOT TRUE AT ALL! it’s the opposite of true!! severance is visually stunning and super stylized a really distinct way. to say severance looks like a “normal office building” is insane to me. even the cinematography is really artistic and deliberate and intense… it doesn’t look like a stock photo of a normal office and that’s the whole point! it’s a part of the style and the setting and integral to the identity of the show!!!
