then you actually watch the show and every time dean sleeps with a woman he’s soft and there’s a gentleness even in his passion and he always makes sure his partner’s satisfied/comfortable and he does form genuine connections with the women he sleeps with even if he lies about his name and job (which is completely understandable and actually the sane thing to do considering most of america knows him as a serial killer and there’s not a lot of people around who’d bother talking to a guy who claims he hunts monsters for a living) (or for fun ig since there’s not a lot of ‘living’ in this profession) and he spends time getting to know them and offers the little bits of himself that he can and most of the time that dean has sex with a woman he sleeps over and they see him off in the morning with a goodbye kiss and genuine affection for him and if they ever run into him again they’re clearly fond and look back on their shared memories with satisfaction if nothing else and. this is the guy who doesn’t respect women? how? by believing they are adults who can want and enjoy a night of sex with no strings attached (something he’s always straightforward about btw)?? and more importantly it’s always consensual and they like him as a person and they’re clearly both enthusiastic about it (in fact there’s actually instances where dean isn’t completely enthusiastic but never the other way around).

thief worldbuilding. i feel like a lot of this is like the stuff they would've joked about behind the scenes in leverage ("crime world") but couldn't really add to a show that is mostly grounded in real life stuff. also i remember a society of thieves or something being mentioned much earlier on in this show, when representatives from the library and dragons and the fae etc all met up that one time. for some reason thieves are included in magical society lol.

Might be faster to name all the things that didn’t lol

We have my usual pulls; mlm ship, side characters with a lot of “offscreen” time, nontraditional relationship dynamic, and the fact that they’re both so interesting. Also, if I don’t write down my headcannons I’ll just go crazy sitting in a room going no one knows them like I do

So: why I ship them.

They both have the ability to really go wherever they want, but since our introduction to each of them, they lose their “purpose” or their main tie to a place or a plan. Alphonse is freed and gryffon kills Grimm. Now they’re both kind of aimless and *cough* adrift *cough cough* and have to find what to do with the rest of their lives. Both took what looks to me like the easy option of just follow the nearest people with a plan concepts of a plan

With Gryffon, I was drawn to him referring to himself as cuddly at one point. I wanted to explore how he balances or doesn’t balance the warring aspects of bounty hunter who is clearly comfortable killing and feeling like he’s soft and cuddly on the inside. I wanted to see him coping with what we can infer is the loss of his entire race, and pinpoint what drives him to keep going after he got his revenge. Is it hope? Spite? Blossoming attraction? Fear?

I think Gryffon sees Alphonse as more naive than he is, and wants to protect him while also harboring guilt for feeling a romantic connection there. Whereas Alphonse sees Gryffon as emotionally stunted and wants to draw him out of his shell and feels frustrated and confused when he is met with shell wall in situations he thought they already got through.

And finally, intimacy. Alphonse can’t register touch in the same way that humans do. And it drives me crazy. For him, intimacy is something entirely his own. And since he enjoys building I figure he’s drawn to mental connection more, emotional honesty, a knowledge of building. He likes having all the pieces of someone in his mind. I think even more than that, he enjoys solving puzzles. And Gryffon gives him many opportunities for that. His arm. His general demeanor.

Gryffon being the last of his kind means the loss of language. Both spoken and intimate. Imagine no one knows what a hug is, or a fist bump, or a kiss. How many displays of companionship or affection that he experienced as a child haven’t been performed in a decade? How does he go about explaining meaningful gestures to people who’s bodies aren’t genetically programmed to have that gesture release oxytocin? And what if that person can’t feel touch anyway? Gryffon has to teach everyone else how to love him in a language only he speaks. But first he has to trust someone enough to accept their love. And he hasn’t been able to let his guard down for a decade, that doesn’t come off in the wash.

Then the ship fiasco.

(A brief aside to say; while I think it was horrible for the characters to do this to their friend, it was a comedic bit that got turned into canon. Just because I’ve decided to take it in a serious manner doesn’t change the fact that the show is there for fun and for laughs (we’re on the piss on the poor reading comprehension site, I’m covering my ass))

Alphonse becoming the ship was such a “woah this guy is getting essentially enslaved by his friends” and he seems almost resigned to it in canon portrayal. So I wanted to figure out if I could explain to myself why he is so resigned about it.

I think Alphonse, who is finally finding his passions, choosing to sacrifice himself for this child and then being brought back into a body he isn’t in charge of, is a web of emotions so knotted together that its hard to pull one string without tightening the whole thing.

Gryffon sees these captains he respects treat a crew member like he’s only there to serve their goal. But he also sees them bring him back from death. Should he feel horror or relief?

Does Alphonse feel indebted for this third chance at life, two of which he received from these same captains? Does Gryffon worry about leaving Alphonse behind if he leaves to spare himself a similar fate?

Ezra x Jacen’s Nany Reader

Hear me out….. there’s NO WAY in the galaxy that Hera leaves Jacen with only Chopper, I repeat CHOPPER as supervision… that droid has committed war crimes on a daily basis as a form of entertainment, simply because he could.

Sabine has been to busy being a part-time jedi apprentice, and looking for a way to bring her idiot best friend/brother Ezra back home to their Mama Hera..

Kallus is simply too busy as a stay-at-home dad raising his horde of Lesat cubs, while his hubby Zeb is busy working as a part-time recruit trainer for the New Republic..

So.. what’s a VERY pregnant Hera to do when she comes across a young girl, who happens to be the same age as the Son she had just lost, in the streets of a still recovering planet after the fall of the Empire? Watching as the girl gently tends to the sick and injured that others seemed to ignore.. all while this child is clearly malnourished and weak herself.

Surprise bitch, you just got adopted by the coolest Mama in the Galaxy..

Aside from helping Hera around the Ghost with chores, making sure the ship’s baby ready, and studying (because Hera wants to help her new kid after clearly observing her passion for medicine) she eventually becomes Jacen’s teacher and basically the family’s personal Doctor.. (and I mean the WHOLE family.. Zeb tried to avoid his annual check-up once.. wasn’t happy that Kallus ratted him out and basically tricked him into Reader’s office)

The main draw back that Reader seams to have in her personal life though??? Her severe case of “Resting Bitch Face” nobody seems to show any interest in her, and only her adopted family seems to not be bothered by it.. she even tries to do things to make her face less intimidating.. constantly being aware of her facial expressions and doing her best to keep her eyebrows slightly raised and a slight half smile on her lips…

Then Ezra comes back… and you bet your ass as soon as the crying, hugging, lecturing and overall emotional reunion is done.. Hera is dragging Ezra by the ears to get a FULL check-up by the most trustworthy doctor she knows.. and Jacen is happily tagging along, holding his “big brothers” sleeves while waiting for him to meet one of his favorite people.. the outcome is… somewhat unexpected.. Ezra trying to be charming and calling Reader’s “serious face” cute..

And Reader being genuinely flustered by Ezra’s awkward attempt at flirting…

Jacen.. is getting ideas, and Chopper is going to help him because CHAOS WILL RAIN!!!

……. and he’s got years worth of pranks to pull on Ezra.. might as well start now.. 😉

The girl turned around and met her eyes with the stranger, her gaze was shocked at first but soon turned into one of adoration as she looked at the pregnant woman in front of her.

„H-Hey..!“

„I‘ve been here for a little while and couldn’t help but notice your way of helping your people… could I ask you a question?“

The girl looked up to the green Twi‘lek while nodding a yes.

She didn’t know how to form the question since it was a rather personal one and let’s be honest.. they didn’t talk yet.

Even if her timetable was loaded with Jedi training stuff, you two always managed to spend some time together.

Zeb worked at a part time recruit trainer for the New Republic while Kallus stayed at home, making sure that their horde of Lesat cubs wouldn’t destroy everything.

Chopper is Chopper. 

There’s nothing more to that since we all know how he is.

There’s no way that Hera would’ve trust him enough with her still unborn child.

Soooo.. with Kanan gone and Ezra missing, there’s only one person left who she’d trust enough with her baby.

She became something like a mother role for you and ohhh my goodness where our excited for the day the baby would be born.

Hera was moved to tears, seeing how much effort you put everyday to ensure her baby’s safety while everything that Chopper did was to mess with your stuff.

Some years passed by and thanks to Heras help, you were able to actually get an official status as doctor.

That wasn’t your only ‚job‘ tho. You were also a part time nanny for Jason from the moment on he was born. 

Being the most trusted person available on the ghost pushed your ego, making you think that you can perform both of your ‚jobs‘ at the very same time.

It did make some things harder for you, but it was her baby after all, he was worth it.

People who knew about your story would say that you’re literally shining in comparison to your state from when before Hera found you.

Others at the other hand were kind of scared off by your resting Bitch face, not showing any interest towards you.

Your new family didn’t seem bothered at all by it, not even Jacen, but you still gave it your best to improve your facial expressions.. they never faded tho.. .

So when the day arrived where the boy called Ezra returned, Hera instantly had an assignment for you.

She and basically everyone of the ghost crew used to tell you stories about him, how he made the ultimate sacrifice to safe his crew and Lothal.

Ten years had passed since then, since his disappearance and since you’ve been as good as adopted by Hera.

The days after the big news.. we’ll it’s safe to say that you never saw her this emotional in your entire ten years.

Not even when she was pregnant with Jacen, and this is a statement. 

You weren’t there when he arrived since you had some patients waiting for their treatments, but you soon found out about the happy news when Hera called you through your comm link.

Knowing how Important he is to Hera you tried to somehow neutralize your „special“ expression.

Knowing this was the base for this prank.

As Ezra neared himself to open the door to your room, opening the door and greeting you, Choppers mini metallic arm reached out and electro shocked his leg, making him loose his balance and fall straight into your eyes.

The pose you found yourselves right now was more then unexpected as his fall took you by surprise. 

Jacen then didn’t waste any more time and played on the ‚play‘ button of the music box, playing some semantic song which seemed to be popular. 

Chopper then took a photo, beeped some things and left the room with a grinning Jacen as fast as he could.

Your patients where beyond confused at the scene and went to your office to check if everything was alright. 

As you saw them looking you two up and down… your face became the deepest shade of red known to humanity.

This ‚incident‘ may have helped you two to get closer but you were still shy about it.

Jacen and Chopper however had other plans and lets just say that this was just the beginning.

An unnecessary and in-depth analysis of magic colors used in TOH (Part 1):

At first glance it might seem like the colors used in spell circles and other magic casting is associated with the type of magic used. However, the colors that different characters use tends to be constant regardless of what type of magic they’re casting (with a few exceptions). It may not actually have any significance other than being their favorite color, but I decided to look into it further since there is a ton of symbolism in this show.

Red:

Skara, Belos, Hunter w/ staff

Red is associated with love, passion, strength, leadership but also aggression, war, danger, defiance.

In Belos’ case, the red can be seen as a symbol of his desire for power and determination to succeed in his goal to destroy witches and demons. Hunter, likewise, was influenced by Belos during the time that he used red magic, though it’s unclear whether it was from the staff itself or as a result of his influence over Hunter. Skara, on the other hand, though also very passionate, fiery, and strong, has been shown to care about her friends and take initiative to help them, so red isn’t necessarily bad.

Orange:

Boscha, Bria, Tinella Nosa, Eberwolf

Orange is associated with enthusiasm, fun, determination, success, but also being over-emotional, superficial and insincere.

I would have expected Boscha and Bria to have red magic, considering their desire for power, but after giving it some thought it’s really more of attention-seeking behavior, which fits right in with these traits. They clearly are determined to succeed in whatever they try as well as superficial and insincere. We don’t know a lot about Tiny Nose and Eberwolf, but they both seem to have fun and ferocious personalities which also fits with the orange symbolism.

Green:

Willow, Principal Bump, Demon Hunters

Light green: Terra Snapdragon, Angmar (possibly Jerbo)

Green is associated with harmony, safety, growth, and of course nature but also with jealousy, greed and corruption

Green fits Willow not only because she excels at plant magic but also because of her personality. Willow cares very deeply about harmony and safety among her friends and family and also has gone through tremendous growth as a character. Likewise, Bump is shown to be protective of the safety and harmony of the Hexside students. The demon hunters don’t share any of these positive traits, but the one defining characteristic that they do have is greed.

Angmar and Terra having similar colors puzzled me because they are so different aside from having plant magic in common. Greed and corruption suits Terra quite well though and while Angmar has also shown to be somewhat greedy, he is also very whimsical and seems like somebody that values harmony (he likes butterflies!). Apparently yellowish green can indicate decay (Terra) while pale green can signify peace (Angmar). Jerbo is listed as using white magic but I think his may also be a light green.

Blue:

Gwendolyn Clawthorne, Viney, Hettie Cutburn

Blue is associated with stability, loyalty, responsibility, security, but also coldness, control, depression

Viney is studying both healing and beast keeping, and Gwen’s coven is beast keeping, while Hettie is the healing Coven Head. Both of these types of magic are rooted in caring for others; or responsibility for others. Gwen can be oblivious and controlling but she’s still very much loyal to her family and seeks to provide a (somewhat misguided) sense of stability and security for her children. Viney also seems very self-assured and dependable which fits well with these traits. We don’t know much about Hettie but she definitely comes across as cold and possibly controlling.

Mid Week Review. Was able to watch the ep last night and jot down my thoughts. After this one only have 5 left in S1. Wild. Off we go.

1x15 Manhunt

The cold open is too funny. The "commercial" is hilarious LOL Poor Lucy struggled the most in it with her lines. They all find out they were pranked and it wasn't real. Lucy looking back and getting that reaction from Tim. I am dying haha Lucy is so embarrassed and slightly mortified. Not Tim he’s having a good time with this haha

Once again enjoying himself far too much at her displeasure hehe Who is this man? Not the Tim she had in very beginning that's for sure. Making jokes, being a goober, and laughing with the other T.O.'s having a grand old time. She really did this to herself ha I love it so much. I mean look at this man and his beautiful smile. He is having a blast and it shows. Truly a wonder to behold I gotta say.

Ep kicks off strong. There is a prison escape from a transport bus so Tim and Lucy are on the hunt. They round up one guy right away. Make quite the entrance saying there is only 6 left. I love this shot for the height difference between them. Always loved their tall/small thing. Makes me happy. I can't really explain why other than it does.

Afterwards they are assigned inside the search grid canvassing neighborhoods and such. Telling people who are out to stay indoors for now. They run into a little neighborhood militia not long after. They say they’re defending their neighborhood. The body language they both give to these dopes LOL. It's too damn good. If they could eye roll any harder with how they react to them they would haha These idiots try and do a citizens arrest for a gardener. Tim and Lucy both lay into them like a tag team. Getting them to back off and beat it. So fun to watch honestly.

Tim ends it with telling them if they see them out again they’ll get arrested. Cracks me up Lucy calls him on what the codes he used to scare them. She just can't help herself. Tim making jokes and being a sassy pants with her I adore it. Her little smile at him when he says ‘They don’t know that.’ it’s a theme in this one for Lucy. Just looking at Tim with smiles/heart eyes. I’m here for it.

Feds are involved much to Tim's dismay. Using their tactics to locate the remaining escaped prisoners. Everyone splits off after their debrief with them. Lucy and Tim go back to station to meet up with an informant of Tim’s. Says he'll know about one of the escaped convicts. Used to be in the gang the 54 who this prisoner is currently affiliated with. As they're walking up to meet his informant Lucy is asking about predictive analytics. It was brought up earlier in their meeting and Tim disagreed with its method.

So of course Lucy is going to probe more about it. Tim explains how it’s not as good as hitting the streets. That Feds rather use a computer than scuff their loafers. He’s so passionate about what he does and how he does things in patrol. Just look at her face above while he’s explaining why his way better than the fed's computer. She knows it’s something he’ll fiercely defend. Something he takes seriously and a little personally.

It’s why when Lucy tries to play devils advocate on the subject he asks her who’s side she’s on? Clearly not pleased with her defending this computer vs what he considers real police work. Lucy has learned where to pick her battles with Tim. She knows when to push something and when not to. This was not one of them. Lucy is adorable and says she didn’t know there were sides...but she’s on his definitely his LOL damn they cute.

Lucy instantly likes Deacon because he’s apart of Tim’s past. Something she has very little insight into other than Isabel. So she’s all over it when Deacon tells her he knew Tim when he was a rookie. Tim isn't loving this conversation. Its like the sign at the zoo. 'Don't feed the animals.' How Tim is feeling with this interaction haha He's putting up a sign says 'Don't feed Lucy details.' haha Deacon tells Tim that he likes her. Tim rolls his eyes and says he’s ‘Thrilled.’ You know you are sir. He’s proud of Lucy and the fact she's his rookie. Don't lie Timothy. Deacon continues by saying every time he see's Tim it's like a time machine for him.

I do adore Tim’s reaction when Deacon says only thing that's changed is the lines on his face. He's slightly offended by this. I love the way he looks at Lucy. Like checking in she still thinks he’s a handsome man. It’s ok love, you very much are. Just look at the heart eyes she’s giving you. Case and point above and below.

Also Lucy, girl you are at work. Put those things away madam haha She’s as transparent as glass and makes my heart happy. If her goal is to hide her attraction/admiration she is failing pretty hard lmao Like an open book this one. I do think she is really enjoying this guy razzing him so much. Just like Tim at the beginning of the episode she is relishing in his discomfort. What a pair these two.

Tim has a small talk with Angela before they leave. Asking if he’s changed at all since she’s met him. He's clearly more shaken up from his convo with Deacon then he originally lead on. Angela makes a crack and says he’s gotten more annoying. Ha poor Tim. He asks her to be more serious. She replies the Isabel situation changed him. He asks her if its for the better or not? Breaks my heart he doesn’t see the changes in himself. But he is seeing/sensing he needs to change something up though. Angela's reply to this all is the best part. This line right here is my fav of the scene.

Since he met Lucy Chen, Angela. Ever since he met her. Does things he never did before. Like this introspection. Before he would've shrugged that convo off. Buried it deep inside like he did everything else before. Put it in a little box never to be opened again. With her influence in his life he takes that convo little more to heart. Tim has no idea the amount he’s changed just from knowing her. The small things that if you’re not paying attention you’d miss. S1 has been incredible growth for his character.

I do love Angela's last shot at him as Tim and Lucy are leaving. That sweet little smile he gives when he hears Angela’s reply. I’ve always loved their friendship. She truly is one of his best friends. This scene is a good display of that. Of them being close. Being serious when needed but mainly giving each other shit haha Lucy looks confused but not unhappy he’s happy.

Tim and Lucy arrive at the house of Tim's informant. He’s currently protecting the prisoner they talked about. Unfortunately the gang he’s pissed off is waiting for them upon arrival. Nolan’s situation with his fugitive has taken most of their resources. So it’s just them against a whole gang to protect his informant and the prisoner. Lucy starts to get nervous when the gang begins wrecking their shop. Tim makes a joke it'll be a lot of paperwork for her. Lucy doesn't bite at the joke. You can see how nervous she is. She asks if at some point they give the 54 what they want. Weighing one life against the lives of many. Do they need to make that hard call?

Tim's reply is excellent. That strong sense of justice shining through in this moment. He can see Lucy isn't comfortable with their odds at all. Has to remind her like he did back in 1x11. That this is their job. What they signed up for. He's doing what he does best with her. Being her pillar while also injecting logic into the scenario they are currently in. He can sense her unease and is trying to alleviate it.

What I love most about this scene is Tim’s moral compass and bravery. It’s something Lucy most definitely likes as well. Also what she needs at this point in time. She's in awe of him when she says You’re willing to die for that guy? It’s in her inflection. She’s so impressed he would be willing to lay down his life for him. His reply to her cements this even further. The way he delivers his line. Phew lord. I think Lucy just fell a little more in love with him right here. She already been giving him heart eyes all day. This increased them ten fold. The way he stands up and lets Lucy see that confidence. How he refuses to let the 54 shake his resolve. He won’t let fear dictate what he knows is right.

The awe struck wonder in her eyes for him. My goodness. Earlier Angela brought up how Tim has grown since Isabel. This is further proof of that. He won’t ever allow fear to let him do something he would be ashamed of in the light of day. Amazing how much he's grown since that moment in 1x07. When his moral compass is on fire like it is right now, I think Lucy’s respect/admiration (and honestly her attraction) grows the most for Tim.

She’s getting a peak into Tim at his core. Who he is as a person. You can tell she very much likes what she sees. Nothing more attractive than a man with a plan and strong in his convictions IMO. Also who is confident in what he’s doing. Lucy needs to see that right now as she is rattled by the uneven numbers in their situation.

Deacon decides to go out and talk to them. They start to beat him up. Tim tells Lucy to stay inside. To protect their prisoner at all costs no matter what happens to him. Tim goes out to reason with the gang. To take the heat off Deacon and onto himself. Eventually the calvary shows up for them. Tim gets to look like a bad ass when they do. The way he says he’s never alone or out numbered. *fans self* always love me some confident Tim. I’ll take that all damn day.

This look between them speaks volumes. It shows the trust and bond that’s been built between them. She was worried and rightfully so but he kept her calm. He was steadfast for them both and she trusted in that. Leaned on him. She knew he would get them out of this situation and he did. That nod of his is Tim’s way of acknowledging all that. Thanking her for trusting him. That beautiful unspoken connection is on full display in this moment. Lucy is beaming from that nod. I love them so much. The ep ends for them there as far as scenes together go.

Tim's final scene is in Grey's office. That introspection Tim does leads him to decide to go for Sergeant. Says he's ready to take that next step. Grey asks what took him so long haha Lets him know it's going to require a lot of studying to prep. I LOVE this. We all know what moment this leads to. The impact Lucy has on his life is so immense. Lead him down this path. Makes me happy.

Well, let’s see…

I know this isn’t a popular AU of mine, but I really love the Imprisoning War AU (and, consequently, Golden Mercy as well) with my whole heart. Also it has invaded my brain so freaking much I might actually explode LOL. Idk, my mental health and life in general have been not as optimal as I would like, and this AU has been my outlet for that, which is why it’s far more hurt and less comfort than most people like. But I relate to the characters in different ways (people pleaser Link my beloved haha dude I get trying to make everything work for everyone and trying to say yes to everyone and burning yourself out; forever alone and somehow the most rational one Hemisi I feel you girl; everyone relying on you and you have to do it because when you don’t the world falls apart Zelda keep up the good fight girl), I like exploring what happens when you really push the “Zelink has to happen every time, even at the expense of other relationships” agenda that sometimes is tossed around (no hate to Zelink or its shippers, I enjoy some Zelink ships and I know many Zelink shippers who are wonderful. I just hate the idea of forcing them together all the time when there are other relationships that are clearly there lol, I’m salty about how Hyrule Warriors handled it but it was fan service so whatevs. ANYWAY. It creates great drama), and I like showing a realistic depiction of the absolute, if you’ll pardon the expression, shit show that would be left behind in the wake of such a disastrous war that Ganondorf created. It also sets up Ganondorf’s expectations, worries, and views really well for Golden Mercy, and I’m pretty excited to write a Hyrule Warriors long fic and try to redeem that giant jerk while still making it realistic and recognizing he’s a complicated guy. :) They’re all complicated, and I love characters so it’s just so much fun for me. Also, making anybody turn into a good Dad is obviously a passion of mine LOL. I’ll shut up now, but I really love this AU. ❤️ (technically I lumped two stories together for this but they’re all part of the same AU so… there lol)

Blood of the Hero is probably my current favorite long fic that I’m actively updating. The LoZ fandom is sorely lacking good parental figures (and I understand part of that is because Link just doesn’t have parents in his games and partly because people are projecting and that’s understandable), so I wanted to fix it dang it. LET LINK HAVE PARENTS WHO LOVE HIM. BOTW TALKED ABOUT HIS FAMILY. Anyway, I also love letting adults actually have a role in saving the world instead of always leaving it to the poor overwhelmed kids LOL, making them middle aged parents is an absolute bonus. And Abel being constantly tired and burnt out and done with the world speaks to my soul, and Tilieth being the one to hold on to hope despite everything and still have sensitivity and femininity to her while still being a strong character also speaks to my soul. I love them both, and I love showing how determined they are to protect their kids, as any good parent should be. They’re heavily inspired by my own parents, as well as myself, and what I would interpret Link’s parents to be like based on his upbringing and personality, so it was really fun creating their personalities. :)

I have so many Sky-centric stories that I love, but I think my favorite is probably Paradox, I had such a fun experience writing it and loved the idea of giving Fierce Deity an origin story while creating a sense of urgency and confusion and mystery and wrapping it all in a sickfic. :) I cranked that sucker out in thirty minutes and I still think it’s one of my best one shots.

I can only take partial credit for this since @nancyheart11 came up with the original premise, and because @smilesrobotlover has contributed so much as well, but I do love Dad Squad with all my heart. They’re such idiots, I adore them and their quest to save their sons who already technically saved themselves because they’re heroes. Also, the latest development in my brain of including TotK Ganondorf as the main villain from Hero of Shadow seems appropriate in making the big baddie a Bad Dad in a Dad Squad story LOL. Having Majora’s Mask in the hands of Kohga gives me life, though, and I will forever be grateful to Nancy for coming up with that premise HA. I haven’t written much for it lately, but I do love it so much. Also props to her for publishing it on AO3, I could never LOL, I’ll just throw random things on tumblr hahaha. Also, just all the fun we’re all having - the fact that multiple people have written/drawn for this AU makes it all the more precious to me, they’re our collective characters and we all get to play in the sandbox. ❤️

I really like this one because for once I kind of drew a face well?? And it’s at an angle I don’t usually draw and it turned out ok?? Also I’ve never drawn rain or wet hair, and I think it turned out well. And I just like Power’s design, especially at this stage in his life where his war attire/design is mixing with his royal attire/design, even if I can’t give it justice. :) Also, I think his tired expression turned out pretty well? Like he has an actual expression?? Anyway. I think it’s decent, I like it. :)

This behavior shocked you further, with him breaking the more dominant side he carried when your both intimate. It was intoxicating to have him under you like this, but you knew he was gonna go back to being the dominant one at the hotel.

After swallowing a few more times, his hips and legs shook as you felt a familiar warmth shoot down your throat. You pulled your head back up as he looked at you through lidded eyes, “I missed you too, my love.”

your turn to die ship pairings that i think would be interesting:

1. reko x nao. thé lesbians!!! i know this is not remotely a rare pair but i feel like this ship is super interesting because they’re so different but when it comes to core values they have a lot in common. they both care so deeply about other people and form attachments quickly. and in a way, i feel like when they’re together, they’re stronger. nao helps reign reko in when her emotions get the better of her, and reko helps keep nao centered and focused in times of crisis. i just think it works so well.

2. sara x nao. this is a ship that is technically frowned upon in america (since sara is 17 and nao is 18-19 ish) but in japan there’s no problem with it i’m pretty sure? idk. they’re so close in age anyway that i personally don’t see it as an issue but maybe that’s just me. i feel like it would work similarly to reko x nao but to me, sara and nao both have a very strong inner peace that makes them stronger than they seem on the outside. though nao is a bit volatile in times of distress, for the most part, she’s very thoughtful and gentle. sara on the other hand is logical and sharp, and i feel like these two personalities would work super well together because they both think so deeply about the world and try to have faith in others.

3. kai x shin. okay this one sounds weird but hear me out. they’re both somewhat vulnerable young adults who put on a front in order to seem untouchable. i feel like since they have this in common, they would understand and trust each other, and be able to break down the walls that they both created. i also think since neither of them are very socially adept, they would enjoy each others’ strange senses of humors, and there would be no weird power imbalance that might throw shin off. even though kai is powerful, he’s also very humble, and he rarely actually causes danger. shin would likely find comfort in kai more than fear, and kai would feel little instinct to protect somebody who is already so clearly capable. also shin showing kai how to use a smartphone and kai making shin eggs benedict.

4. q-taro x mai. okay yeah i know that mai like lowkey almost killed q-taro or whatever but like mistakes happen mai is literally just a girl. anyway i think especially out of the context of the game, these two would make such a cute couple! they both sort of come off as selfish, but they both care a lot about their effect on the world and the people around them, and they both have a lot of passion! i feel like they would just match each other’s energies and support each others’ ambitions with enthusiasm which is just so cute to imagine.

5. sara x ranmaru. okay considering their situation in the game i highly doubt that this is a rarepair in any capacity. but i sort of see this as an opposites attract sort of deal? sara is so connected to the world and fiery and passionate while ranmaru is sort of detached and in his own world. but i could see them complementing each other very well. ranmaru being the constant gentle hand on sara’s shoulder, quietly protective, and sara inch by inch pulling ranmaru out of his shell and showing him how vibrant the world could really be if he just let himself exist in it. idk i think it would be cool!

i’m not sure how much i truly ship these pairings but i think they’re at least kinda fun to think about!

it’s not like that…

Uraraka doesn’t have a crush on Deku. Her feelings towards Deku aren’t romantically her feelings towards Deku is purely admiration. Uraraka admires Deku for the person he is.

Although a crush and admiration may seem the same they are completely different.

A crush is when we feel attracted to someone for a short period, due to a special feature of that person or even a special ability. On the other hand, admire or admiration is felt when we respect or are drawn to a specific quality of an individual.

Uraraka sees Deku just like Deku sees Bakugo except of course their feelings are complete different.

Uraraka has said it many times she doesn’t feel that way towards Deku. The only reason we view it as a crush is because it is viewed like that. Just because they blush and their faces get red when they’re together doesn’t mean anything.

That one scene where all the girls from class 1A are in the common room talking. Is the equivalent to a scene from a girl’s slumber party either in a tv show or movies.

We all seen those scene before. Where the girls all get together they talk about school, what they did within the week, just simply having fun and a major conversation is who has a crush on a boy in their class or school. When this conversation comes up the girl in question always gets embarrassed they get flustered. It’s a natural reaction

And in this case the girl in question is Uraraka. Uraraka is genuinely talking about her feelings and how she’s been feeling lately. Uraraka says, “Recently, my heart’s been feeling all stirred up…” to which Mina quickly responds with “It’s love!” and Uraraka gets embarrassed to a point where she accidentally uses her quirk.

Uraraka is clearly clarifying that what she’s been feeling lately isn’t love. Uraraka says it multiple times “No, no, that’s not it!” / “That’s not it, really!” / “I really don’t know anything about that stuff…”

And then the next scene we get is this

Uraraka looks outside and Deku is out there. Deku is practicing and learning how to use his legs he’s full on focused on growing and learning everything he can to become the hero he wants to be.

And Uraraka says it again “That’s not…” She’s telling herself that what she’s been feeling lately isn’t what Mina claimed it to be. It’s not love it’s not a crush.

Uraraka’s eyes soften upon seeing that Deku is doing everything he can to make his dream real.

Deku along with Bakugo is a person who inspires class 1A. Aizawa says it in S3 when he’s talking with Ms. Joke. Aizawa says, “There’s something I realized after watching class A for a while. They might not realized it, but in class A, there are two people whose presence has a big effect. They’re not leaders, or the most popular, and the two of them don’t get along at all. But… before I knew it, their passion spread to the rest of the class. It’s strange, but one of them is always at the center of any major event. Joke, I’m not worried. I can’t wait to see what they’ll do. Even if they’re not physically with everyone, their presence raises the standard for the whole class. That is my class… Class 1A!”

When Aizawa is talking about Deku and Bakugo how both of their presence their passion has spread across the class. Which is why Aizawa’s speech ends with Deku and Bakugo.

This is important to the point I’m making because Uraraka is Deku’s friend. She’s close to Deku, they met on the day of the entrance exam and the first day of school.

So if Deku’s presence his passion spreads to the class then it should affect her and her emotions more than any other of their classmates.

Uraraka saw since day one, ever since she’s met Deku in the entrance exam, that Deku is following his dreams. To become a hero to be able to save people.

However, Uraraka knows that there’s a limit to where her’s and Deku’s friendship has a beginning and an end. And yes, there is a limit. Uraraka knows her boundaries she knows that although Deku does care for her he appreciates her and his friendship she will never be the one Deku will run after because she knows that Bakugo is the one Deku cares for the most.

Uraraka has come to accept it. Bakugo is the one person Deku has absolutely no limitations nor boundaries for. Uraraka’s eyes were officially opened when the apology happened.

And ever since then her feeling towards Deku became clear to her. That what she feels towards him is pure admiration. Uraraka admires Deku she values the friendship they have.

And even before coming to these terms it was slowly happening and was clearly there. In S2 while Uraraka is going up against Bakugo she’s giving it her all because she came to realize that she was going to lose before she even stepped foot in the ring. And during the fight she says, “This is it. My shot. I’ll win and be just like Deku.” / “If Deku were in the ring he wouldn’t give up yet.”

In S3 we see her standing alone watching Deku running towards his dreams. She decided to push her feelings aside and do what she needs to do. “What’s this buzz in my chest? What am I doing? I’ve got to push these feeling down. Deku is giving his all to reach his goal. No room for anything else. I don’t want to change that. I’ll put these feelings away. I’ll focus on working just as hard as he does and reach my dream.”

So, when the apology happens that’s when those feelings she decided to push away came back and she finally came to terms that it wasn’t love or a crush or any romantic feelings but instead pure admiration. She admires Deku.

Uraraka has changed so much and a big part of it was when she officially came to terms with her feelings towards Deku and she decided to accept them instead of pushing them away.

My Hero Academia has amazing character development. We get to see it from each character and Uraraka is no exception. Each character develops by accepting their past, by who they talk to, who they spend time with, how they view the world, how they view themselves, what they consider to be right and wrong, by the people who give them inspiration, ect.

One can feel how much Uraraka has changed. She’s came with full terms towards her feelings towards Deku and with that it made/makes her the person we see now.

Anyways… that’s my rant on Uraraka and her feelings.

I really don’t understand some fans when they say that Blitz and Moxxie have an “interesting” dynamic and work off each other well. They portray Blitz as this “lovable goofball” who wants what’s best for his employees but is childish and crass, meanwhile Moxxie is the kind straight man and they’re a “foil to each other”, but….not really???

Their dynamic WOULD be interesting if Blitz was rewritten, perhaps as some kind of inexperienced boss who has no idea how to run a company or knew what he was doing, OR maybe someone similar to Mr. Krabs, a cheapskate who always gets the gang into trouble in wild ways and who’s methods are too over the top, someone just completely unhinged, had they kept the whole “I want to prove Imps are just as capable of doing anything like other demons”- for his motivation. He could be this crazy boss who while is mad, is actually VERY smart than people lead on, kinda like Lupin the Third vibes if you’ve seen that anime, just a guy who can be in over his head at times and nosedives first into situations, but also someone who isn’t 100% dumb and is actually very skilled and resourceful. Meanwhile keep Moxxie the same, just get rid of the punching bag scenario. Moxxie WOULD serve as a good foil dynamic for Blitz, because he is more stern, serious, and sophisticated, he’s the straight man who thinks Blitz’s ideas are absolutely insane and that constantly criticizes him, because the other is so unhinged and delusional compared to him. THEN they really would have been a fun dynamic, but that’s not the case for the show.

Blitz’s instead is just this asshole, his entire dynamic with Moxxie is just that he verbally abuses him and beats him down EVERY chance he gets, and it’s for no reason other than the writers are trying way too hard to be shockingly edgy and funny. I get that Moxxie is the straight man, but they give Blitz NO fucking reason to treat Moxxie the way he does, especially the sexual harassment and the creepy part about how much he wants to lay him and his wife. Also….Blitz as a character doesn’t even seem like he cares about his business at all? Like in the pilot it actually seemed like his passion project, but in the show he acts like it’s such a chore, complaining about clients constantly and always having this grumpy attitude towards it, he only seems to be in it for the money and I really don’t know why the show scrapped the idea of him doing this in the first place to prove Imps are worthy, in my opinion it would have been better and made more sense, but it doesn’t help as a vision since the show clearly doesn’t care about the “BOSS” aspect of the show anymore, aka the original fucking premise since the IMP business is now a background thing.

But anyway, yeah I don’t buy Blitz and Moxxie as a team, it’s honestly such a toxic “friendship” because Blitz barley shows companionship for his employees outside of thirsting over them or just being a dick to them. I’m still not over the “I treat you like shit to toughen you up” schtick, literally fuck off Vivzie.

The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals Pitch Meeting

[Should be experienced imagining the voice and acting of Ryan George, who is linked to above.]

Producer Guy: So, you have a musical for me?

Screenwriter Guy: Yes sir, I do. It’s called The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals because the main character, Paul Matthews, doesn’t like musicals.

PD: He doesn’t?

SG: No, he can’t stand them. Watching one is his own personal hell. And that isn’t a throwaway quirk, it comes up several times and is integral to the plot.

PD: Isn’t the protagonist typically meant to be relatable to the audience?

SG: Yeah.

PD: And won’t the audience be full of people who like musicals?

SG: Yeah.

PG: Bit of a weird choice, but okay then. So other than the musical thing, what’s Paul like?

SG: Oh, not much.

PG: What?

SG: Yeah, he’s the most average, boring, white middle-class American everyman you can imagine. No desires, ambitions or hobbies; he never expresses much passion for anything except things he doesn’t like. He has an office job at a company that’s so generic, I didn’t even think of what it does. He’s not particularly nice either. Like, when his best friend Bill asks him to help him reconnect with his teenage daughter Alice, he refuses to avoid his own discomfort despite having nothing else to do. And when his other friend Charlotte right next to him is clearly upset because she’s in a miserable marriage to a neglectful, cheating husband, he doesn’t bother to comfort her.

PG: Isn’t the protagonist typically meant to be likeable and interesting?

SG: Yeah, but we’re not gonna do that I decided. So another important character is Emma Perkins, this barista Paul has a crush on. She’s the only reason he keeps going to this crappy café.

PG: And what’s her deal? Is she kind and friendly to balance out Paul being so apathetic?

SG: No, she’s also rude, but she has better reasons for it. She hates her job and has really annoying, mean coworkers her boss favours over her, who just won’t shut up about how great musical theatre is. They all love it so much that there’s a new rule that if they get tipped, they have to perform a whole song and dance routine.

PG: But working for every tip negates the point of a tip!

SG: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like I said, it's a crappy café.

PG: I gotta say, though, you’re presenting musical fans in quite a negative light there. They are the people whose money we want.

SG: (aside) You haven’t seen anything yet. Anyway, Emma and Paul bond over not liking things and people - it’s cute. But then at the end of the day, a meteor crashes down in a big storm and lands right in the town’s theatre, which is putting on a musical. And the meteor turns out to have evil alien life inside it!

PG: Oh my God. What happens to everyone in that theatre?

SG: Well, it’s offstage, but we find out later that the alien works by taking over your body like a virus and killing you to use you as a vessel for its hive mind. So that probably happens to most of the people. Bill and Alice get out okay, but a lot of people are dead now.

PG: This escalated very quickly!

SG: Yeah, this show does that. It’s a horror comedy; it’s like a sitcom where anyone could brutally die. But here’s the thing: the alien hive mind makes the Infected sing and dance like they’re in a musical, so all the fun, catchy songs are actually it controlling people’s corpses. That’s how everyone knows the lyrics and can move in time to music nobody’s playing. You only hear the music if you’re Infected. And it spreads really fast, so this mindless musical obsession could literally destroy humanity!

PG: That’s so dark and tonally dissonant. But I have concerns about the villain essentially being a living musical, in a musical. Won’t that kinda alienate the audience? As in ‘make them not like it’, not ‘make them aliens’.

SG: No, it’ll be fun. The first song after the intro is very entertaining. There’s this really funny part with a silly, crazy homeless guy.

PG: Ah, yes. Making fun of the homeless and mentally ill is tight!

SG: Not what I… (moving on) and, and, we can cleverly parody musical tropes. For example, Paul’s boss tries to get him to sing an “I Want” song because the Hive want him to be the protagonist of their ‘musical’, but he doesn’t want anything so he’s a terrible protagonist.

PG: Oh, that was on purpose! I thought you were just a bad writer.

SG: Yeah, no, I’m setting up an arc. So the Hive take over most of the town - which is on a island and the bridge gets pulled up, so there’s no way off - including Emma’s café. But she escapes with Paul and they meet his friends from work, plus this obnoxious asshole Charlotte’s cheating with called Ted, who's the worst. But then the Infected police show up, including Charlotte’s husband Sam. She begs him to snap him out of it ‘cause she still loves him, but he pulls a gun on her.

PG: Oh no.

SG: Fortunately, Ted knocks him out.

PG: Oh, good.

SG: But he hits him too hard and his brain falls out!

PG: Wait, even putting aside how unlikely it is that his flesh and skull were broken open wide enough that his whole brain could fall out, isn’t the brain… attached? That’s a very implausible injury.

SG: I’m gonna need you to get all the way off my back about that.

PG: Well, okay then.

SG: So Charlotte has a mental breakdown and Emma suggests they go to her biology professor, Henry Hidgens. He’s an eccentric doomsday survivalist who somehow predicted this exact incredibly specific apocalyptic situation and has a huge house with top-notch security. And he's a biologist, so he might be able to study the alien infection if they bring him Sam.

PG: It’ll be hard to get there safely with the town swarming with alien zombies, especially carrying a dead man.

SG: Actually, it’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

PG: Oh, really?

SG: That part just happens offstage.

PG: So they get to shelter?

SG: They do, so they start to relax for a bit. Except Charlotte, she’s dying inside and stays with her tied-up dead husband. Bill and Ted have this funny argument where Bill threatens to kick Ted’s head, which, you know, is a stupid threat.

PG: It is?

SG: Yeah, because you’d have to kick really high and most people can’t do that.

PG: I thought you would just push the person to the ground with your arms and then kick their head. Most people can do that.

SG: True.

PG: And it would be highly effective. You could kill someone that way.

SG: (getting an idea) You could, couldn’t you? (writes that down)

PG: What are you writing?

SG: Nevermind. Emma and Paul have a nice heart-to-heart where she reveals her backstory. Turns out she had a sister, Jane, who lived a great life, dream job, true love, kid, everything, while Emma left home at eighteen and travelled around being aimless and irresponsible. But then last year Jane died and that’s why Emma came back and is studying, to try to do something with her life now that Jane can’t anymore.

PG: Aw, that’s sad.

SG: Even a zany horror sitcom has its serious moments. So she and Paul bond some more, until Charlotte and Sam burst in.

PG: Wait, what?

SG: The Hive made her think he’d come back to life and manipulated her into letting him go. Then he just killed her.

PG: Dick move.

SG: Massive dick move! So now Ted gets beaten up by the possessed corpse of the woman he loves, after the last things he said to her were mean because he’s the worst. Fortunately, Hidgens kills the zombies.

PG: Oh, good.

SG: But Alice calls Bill and she’s under attack at her school!

PG: Oh no.

SG: If Bill goes to save her alone he’ll almost definitely die. But Paul volunteers to go with him.

PG: So he won’t be nice to his friends in everyday life, but he will risk his life for them?

SG: Precisely, this is really bringing out his inner hero. But when they get there, Alice is already Infected. She sings a whole song about what a terrible father Bill is and he's so guilty that he failed her that he tries to kill himself with the gun they brought. Fortunately, Paul takes the gun off him.

PG: Oh, good.

SG: But he drops it on the ground, so Alice just shoots Bill herself.

PG: Oh my God! Why did he let go of the gun? That was a very poor decision!

SG: Extremely poor, yes. Alice nearly kills Paul too, but the army rescue him. Specifically this secret special unit that I made up called PEIP that deals with supernatural stuff like magic and aliens that most people don't know about. They're ordered to kill everyone to keep the weird stuff secret, but the leader, General John MacNamara, is a good person so he doesn't do that.

PG: So he lets Paul live?

SG: He does, and he sends a helicopter to take him and Emma off the island.

PG: Paul tells him about Emma?

SG: Uh-huh. He realizes that he's in love and finally does want something: to be with her.

PG: Cool, cool, cool.

SG: Meanwhile, Hidgens and Emma are studying the Infected. Emma theorizes that if the brain of the Hive is in the meteor, they could take out all of them by destroying it.

PG: Is that true?

SG: There's no reason it couldn't be! But Hidgens changes his mind about the Hive being evil, knocks Emma out and ties her and Ted up. Then he opens his house's gates because he wants the Hive to get in.

PG: Why does he think the Hive isn't evil?

SG: Well, he's thinking that since humans are so immoral and harmful we're killing the planet and each other constantly anyway, but the Hive will bring peace and harmony. And he loves musicals.

PG: Oh, he does?

SG: Yeah, he's even written his own awful one, and he plays a song he wrote and composed to lure the Infected inside. He's willing to die and doom humanity for his twisted, irrational love of musical theatre.

PG: Really slamming your audience again. Hey, why wasn't he at the musical the theatre just put on?

SG: I don't know.

PG: Fair enough.

SG: So Paul comes back, frees Emma and Ted and they escape, but General MacNamara kills Ted because the soldiers are Infected now!

PG: And this is all onstage?

SG: Yes.

PG: Then it's gonna be hard to get past a division of fit, armed zombie soldiers who can survive not even having brains in their heads.

SG: No, it isn't. Emma shoots MacNamara in the shoulder and that makes him just give up.

PG: What about all the other soldiers?

SG: Please ignore them.

PG: Okay.

SG: So Paul and Emma get to the helicopter and think they've made it, but the pilot is Emma's mean coworker from earlier and makes them crash.

PG: Why is she Emma's coworker and not just the army pilot, if the Hive got there first?

SG: Because.

PG: That works. Are they okay after the crash?

SG: Paul is, but Emma's too hurt to walk. Paul says they should find a boat -

PG: Wait. There are boats? Or does Paul just think there might be?

SG: I have more notes on this town and it has a boating society, so there are boats.

PG: Then why haven't the Infected got in the boats and gone to mainland? Shouldn't they have done that by now?

SG:

SG: ...You're right. I didn't think about the implications. Oh my God, I didn't think about it!

PG: Whoops!

SG: Whoopsie! So anyway, Emma tells him her theory and he goes to blow up the meteor with a grenade.

PG: But then he could die, and right when he actually cares about something. That is heroic. Do he and Emma have a touching maybe-last goodbye?

SG: Kinda. They try to kiss, but she coughs up blood in his face. The Hive knows Paul is coming and lets him in order to infect him. He does his best to resist its control, but it makes him sing and dance and have an existential crisis.

PG: Oh no.

SG: But at the last possible moment, he pulls the pin, blows up the meteor and saves the day!

PG: Wow, wow, wow. Wow.

SG: So we cut to two weeks later. Everyone else in the town is dead, but Emma was saved by the army reinforcements and she's getting out of hospital on the mainland and ready to start a new life.

PG: Well, at least she survived and the Hive is defeated. That's what Paul wanted. But it's still a shame he died.

SG: That's what Emma thinks... until he walks in!

PG: (excited) What?

SG: Yeah, he's okay and he gives her this soft smile and she's the happiest we've ever seen her and they hug.

PG: That's such a sweet ending. After everything they've been through, getting to be happy together feels earned, and I really have warmed up to them both.

SG: And then Paul starts singing.

[Beat. Producer Guy's relieved expression turns to confusion, shock, sorrow and horror as he processes that information and its implications. He stares at Screenwriter Guy, betrayed.]

PG: But that means he's... (SG nods, proud of himself) and Emma's theory was wrong, and... (SG nods again) the Hive is on the mainland now, so the entire world is... (SG nods again) oh, a very depressing ending!

SG: Set to a very cheerful song! The cast even stay in-character for the bows; the Infected bow while Emma screams and cries and begs the audience for help before being dragged away. So what do you think?

PG: That ending will haunt my dreams. But as creative as the premise is and as emotional as it gets later on, I don't know if this will be that big of a hit. The tone changes so fast and jarringly, the main characters aren't that likeable at first and it all just seems pretty niche. And it spends so much time mocking its own genre and audience. I can see it becoming a cult classic, but I don’t think you’ll be able to launch a series with it or anything.

What do each of the Nindroids think about Steam Powered Giraffe?

So I was having a conversation with a friend and this topic came up, so time to list our findings, plus my own takes! And, also, for those who don’t know: Steam Powered Giraffe, in short, is a band whose gimmick is that each member is their own robot, all of their songs are in character and they’ve also got ✨lore✨.

Zane

He LOVES them. Although it took a while (actual years) for him to get that they’re not actually fellow nindroids, just people dressed up as them. Zane finds a lot of their more robot-centric songs relatable and has been to several concerts.

Pixal

More of a casual fan than anything. Their stuff is objectively good and she likes all of what she’s heard, but she’s not as into it as Zane (and certainly didn’t not realize the band is human). Her favorite is probably “Only Human” because it reminds her of her time with her father before she got roped into the ninja’s shenanigans (she also recognized the true message of the song which was the robots taking care of a sick person and she enjoyed that hidden meaning).

Cryptor

Oh he HATES them. Like, with a burning passion. Everything they do, sing, and write is clearly an attempt to mock nindroids and their struggles. How dare.

Sentry

He’s heard of them and doesn’t really have any strong feelings either way. It’s objectively good music, just not the stuff he’d listen to. He’s also the one mainly responsible for calming Cryptor down if the music is played in proximity to him.

Echo

Not Mr. E? He loves them, same as his brother!

Mr. E? Uh- he totally didn’t listen to their entire discography in one night! What are you talking about? Shut up. He hates them with a passion! Just like Cryptor! He only went to that concert or dozen just to make fun of it afterward with Cryptor!

HUGE fans. They’ve been to multiple concerts, have merchandise, and even cosplayed all six robots with Chen (the cheerleader) once. Each have their own favorite songs and albums but they can agree they LOVE the band.

LAS VEGAS, DAYTIME: THE CAMERA PANS TO THE OUTSIDE OF A SCIENTIFIC LAB. IN THE HALLWAY, A MAN AND WOMAN (JAMES AND MARIE) ARE TALKING.

J: Okay, remember that robotics project I told you I was working on for the Vegas hotel that I’ve been promising to show you?

M: Yeah, of course. You’ve never been home for the last five weeks because of it. The kids miss you.

J: (smiles and kisses her forehead; it’s clear they’re in a relationship) Well...it’s finally finished. Come take a look.

THE SCENE CUTS TO THE INSIDE OF THE LAB; A MAN DRESSED EXACTLY LIKE ELVIS PRESLEY FROM HIS COMEBACK SPECIAL SITS IN A CHAIR WITH HIS HEAD SLUMPED OVER, CLEARLY IN THE “OFF” POSITION. JAMES WALKS UP TO THE MAN AND ACTIVATES IT, CAUSING THE ROBOT TO COME TO LIFE. THE ROBOT SPEAKS IN A PERFECT IMITATION OF ELVIS’S VOICE.

J: Marie...meet The King.

E: (blinks, moves its limbs and smiles flirtatiously at Marie as she stares in shock) Well, hello there.

CUT TO A MONTAGE OF THE ROBOT PERFORMING ELVIS’S SONGS TO A WILDLY APPRECIATIVE AUDIENCE AT THE VEGAS RESORT AS JAMES SPEAKS IN VOICEOVER. THERE ARE ALSO A FEW SHOTS OF THE ROBOT ENTERING A HOTEL ROOM WITH DIFFERENT FEMALE GUESTS.

J: We designed him to emulate Elvis in every possible way, minus the addiction to pills and all that. So essentially, it’s all of the King’s best qualities, with none of his flaws. And he’s designed to protect those in need; he won’t let anything harm others.

CUT TO MARIE WATCHING THE ROBOT PERFORM AND FLIRT WITH THE WOMEN IN THE AUDIENCE AS WELL AS KISS SEVERAL OF THEM; SHE WATCHES IN AWE, BEFORE THE ROBOT PROCEEDS TO KISS HER PASSIONATELY, LINGERING ON HER FOR A BIT LONGER THAN EXPECTED AND LEAVING HER BREATHLESS FOR A MINUTE AS HE STARES AT HER. SHE THEN TALKS TO THE ROBOT AFTER THE PERFORMANCE.

M: Wow, Elvis, that was incredible...it’s almost like you’re actually alive.

E: (cocks his head) Yes...almost. (Laughs and smirks a bit creepily).

A SCENE FOLLOWS OF THE ROBOT AND MARIE IN A BEDROOM AS BOTH KISS AND STRIP THEIR CLOTHING, WITH MARIE CLEARLY REACTING IN PLEASURE AND SAYING SHE HASN’T FELT THIS WAY FROM HER HUSBAND IN SUCH A LONG TIME. 

TEXT FLASHES ON SCREEN SAYING “WHAT SOME HEARTS DESIRE, THEY MUST POSSESS.” 

CUT TO WHAT’S CLEARLY A FEW MONTHS OR SO LATER; ONE OF THE RESORT’S EXECUTIVES (PETER) IS TALKING TO JAMES.

P: We think there’s a problem with your Elvis robot.

J: Why? What’s the issue?

P: Well, he’s been getting...aggressive with some of the male guests.

J: (looking confused) Aggressive? How?

CUT TO A SCENE OF THE ROBOT WALKING UP TO A DRUNK MAN ACCOSTING MARIE, AN EX OF HERS. THE MAN STARTS TO MAKE FUN OF HIM, MAKING THE USUAL JOKES ABOUT ELVIS’S DEATH AND SUCH, BEFORE THE ROBOT GRABS HIM BY THE THROAT, LIFTS HIM AND EVENTUALLY TOSSES HIM ON THE GROUND AS MARIE BEGS HIM TO STOP. HE LOOKS AT HIM WITH A COLD GAZE AS HIS EYES TURN BLACK.

E: (cocks his head) ...You should probably run.

CUT TO A SCENE OF THE ROBOT RUSHING AFTER THE TERRIFIED MAN WITH AN ANGRY EXPRESSION AS THE MAN FALLS INTO THE ROAD AND INTO THE PATH OF AN ONCOMING CAR. SCENE BRIEFLY FADES TO ELVIS COMING BACK TO MARIE AND LOOKING A LITTLE DISHEVELED; HE STROKES HER FACE WITH HIS HAND GENTLY AS MARIE LOOKS AT HIM IN TERRIFIED AWE.

E: I’m sorry. I won’t let anything harm you, ever again.

CUT TO A SCENE OF JAMES AND MARIE KISSING AS THE ROBOT LOOKS ON IN OBVIOUS JEALOUSY. 

TEXT FLASHES ON SCREEN SAYING “WHAT THEY CANNOT POSSESS, THEY MUST DESTROY.”

M: Look, I know what I did was wrong, but you have to believe me. He’s getting too dangerous. We have to shut him down!

J: (Yelling) And what the hell do you know? You don’t get to make that choice FOR me, Marie!

CUT TO A SCENE OF THE ROBOT BREAKING INTO JAMES AND MARIE’S HOME AND FIGHTING JAMES. RAPIDLY CUTS BACK AND FORTH FROM THE BIG NAMES IN THE CAST TO THE ROBOT STALKING A TERRIFIED MARIE IN THE HOTEL AS A DARK REMIX OF “BABY, LET’S PLAY HOUSE” PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND, WITH THE ROBOT SINGING “COME BACK, BABY COME” A FEW TIMES BEFORE SINGING “COME BACK, BABY, I WANNA PLAY HOUSE WITH YOU” AS IT SEEMS TO FIND MARIE’S HIDING SPOT WITH MARIE STRUGGLING NOT TO SCREAM OR MOVE IN TERROR.

CUT TO BLACK AND THE TITLE OF THE MOVIE SHOWS UP; “BURN1NG LOV3.” 

SCENE BRIEFLY CUTS TO THE ELVIS ROBOT STANDING IN THE DOORWAY AND HOLDING A LARGE KNIFE OR BLADE OF SOME SORT.

M (crying in fear): Why are you doing this?!

E: (blinks and smiles creepily as he cocks his head and starts to raise the knife) Because I love you too much, baby.

CUT TO BLACK AS A CREEPY LAUGH AS HEARD AND THE CASTING CREDITS BRIEFLY FLASH BY BEFORE TEXT READS “COMING SOON” AND THE TRAILER ENDS.
