Most of the time I don't think about grooming habits of actors outside of the hair on their head and facial hair, especially for male actors bc body hair is body hair and men do tend to have more body hair and like yeah I know there's definitely been roles where guys have had to shave/wax parts of their bodies (like the actors who played Kens in the Barbie movie) but never until Hannibal did I ever see an actor where I had to take a minute and be like "did they specifically groom his chest hair that way????"
Because I see pics of Mads as Hannibal and I'm like "okay dudes got a hairy chest nice"
But then I watch things like Polar and I'm like "bro how much work did they have to put into trimming his tiddies for roles like Hannibal"
And like, I get the choice. As far as appearances go, Duncan seems more "only care for basic necessities" and rugged whereas Hannibal is more carefully-kept and refined, but I just never thought about using chest hair to reflect that.
I'm going to draw more since I'm riding that inspiration high. Also will be posting the diff versions i.e. without face paint and normal Haberdae but without tats cus I can't draw them. 🤷
