I was watching Brooklyn 99 (a show on Netflix, if you have Netflix, watch it, that's an order. It's an amazing show, and you will love it) and I always wondered, if not ship Jake with Amy, then with whom? I was just rewatching the Pimento episode (where Adrian Pimento is first introduced) and it hit me like a TRUCK.

Adrian and Jake, now when I say this ship, what I want you to think of is filthy. This ship would not be for the faint of heart in my head. I mean it probably by default has at least 40% more smut than the average ship, and also the angst potential, the whump, and the hurt/comfort. So many scenes with Jake having a knife against his neck, and if you want more of Jake being tied up, threatened, traumatized, and possibly tortured, then you probably would also like this ship (And I'm not saying Adrian would necessarily be doing all this stuff to Jake, but 'cause of all the mafia stuff he was mixed up in, it's more likely to happen to Jake when he is with Adrian.). I LOVE IT. I haven't checked AO3 for it yet, but if I don't find anything, it's YOUR MISSION to write it here, tag me in it, or send me the link in DM's.

ive seen you say terusai is implied a lot but i dont remember ever seeing you explain why you think that

yeah now that you say it, i dont think ive ever gone into depth about it 😭 its really hard to put my thoughts into words because its sooo much, i started writing a long analysis recently on their relationship, why i believe they have feelings for each other, and why they would work but itll probably sit unfinished in my drafts for a while

for now, i'll give you a few of my most noteworthy thoughts...

the mixer scene has teruhashi unknowingly proving to saiki that her feelings are true, and he accepts that and stops trying to get her to stop pursuing him. i dont believe he ever actually makes any REAL effort to try to stop her from liking him ever again after this. he genuinely hadnt acknowledged her feelings as true or at least not as deep yet, which is why he thinks hes succeeding at getting her to move on until she proves that not only is she still thinking of him, but shes NOT thinking of a fake version of him... shes thinking of HIM... she genuinely enjoys his company even when hes doing nothing but sitting there (which is factually and obviously what he wouldve been doing in this situation, people deny that for some odd reason but like. thats what he does. with ANYONE. even his own family and everyone else who knows of his powers.) and wants him around... i think some part of him stopped because he felt guilty for not believing her feelings were true and trying to control her heart despite her genuine intentions, and another part of him was realizing that he doesnt WANT her to stop having feelings for him... otherwise, why would he drag the other guys away WHILE acknowledging that she wouldnt have gone with them anyway??? after inserting himself into a rock paper scissors game for who gets to be the one to be with her???? HELLO?

and the offu, although i dont believe it was a direct declaration of him being in love with her or whatever, has obvious canon romantic connotations... teruhashis determination is something saiki has admired about her since the very beginning, but it isnt until THIS moment that he thinks in depth about what that entails... she makes him realize all at once that she truly IS the type of person he admires most... and his "offu" is exactly what teruhashi needs, she would have a straight up epiphany if she knew about it, because he DIDNT gasp at how beautiful she is, or anything she forced herself to do, or when she forced herself to CHANGE, he ONLY gasped when she let herself embrace a part of herself that was REAL and TRUE, her unwavering dedication and pride.

THIS chapter is where they both have huge realizations about themselves and each other, and they both prove that theyre more than willing to meet in the middle for the other...

saiki lives his life forcing himself to blend into the background, not because he genuinely wants to but because hes afraid to be SEEN.

teruhashi lives her life forcing herself to be perfect and the center of attention, not because she genuinely enjoys it but because she believes she wont get the validation she feels she needs if she doesnt give everyone exactly what they want from her.

and yet, here saiki is, allowing himself to jump into the spotlight and be seen catching teruhashi out of nowhere and carrying her to the nurse. and here teruhashi is, allowing herself to be seen being imperfect, forgetting something, and not caring about her conversation with these men. FOR EACH OTHER. they both let themselves break down a wall because they care more about the other than about the fake selves they dedicate their entire lives to, THEIR GENUINE CARE FOR EACH OTHER GIVES THEM THE COURAGE TO DO THAT.

and this is probably the number one reason why i think their feelings for each other are implied... this alternate timeline is quite clearly one where saiki is more open with his friends, and he and teruhashi ARE DATING in this universe. theres absolutely no other explanation for the author writing that. he spelled out "IF SAIKI WERE MORE OPEN WITH HIS FRIENDS, HE WOULD BE DATING TERUHASHI"

the saiki of that timeline isnt exactly the same as the saiki we know of course, and their relationship will not develop in the same way, but theres clearly intention behind this and it wouldnt be written and called attention to if there was no significance, youd have to jump through hoops to deny that 😭

overall, i think they both have a lot of work to do on themselves before they can be in a relationship, but not only do i believe they WILL eventually get there but also that they both need each other on their personal journey to get to that point, or at least that they are and will continue to be important in the others journey there, and their romantic feelings for each other are so clear... these two are so important to one another...

Adora x Lonnie has that yearning from the other side of the battlefield thing that people claim C//A has, but absolutely does not.

It's a shame they have so little fics (maybe I'll fix that one day), most of the ones I found in their tag was Lonnie being jealous of Catra because she had a crush on Adora. Do no get me started on the fic I saw that featured Adonnie as an abusive relationship that Catra had to save Adora from.

For sureeee I’m in love with Adonnie 🩷 As a concept, mostly, because I get why it’s difficult to put these two into practice (Lonnie is a character by the skin of her teeth). I wrote Adonnie only once before and… God, it was nice. It’s hard not to want to see these two together because of the respect they’d no doubt have for each other as people, soldiers, veterans, (as She-Ra)…

Remember that pirate AU idea I had for the hq boys? Turns out I had written a snippet for it to get the idea rolling and FORGOT ABOUT IT. anyways here it is - it reminds me that I need to research shiptalk (i.e., how a ship is actually run and not just what I remember from pirates of the caribbean). There's a slash of a sword under Daichi's chin, the edge cold and sharp against his skin. It stills and presses into his neck, his suppressed gasp causing his Adam's apple to hit against the metal.

Oikawa smiles down at him. "Where's your luck now, captain?"

He says it mockingly, the words meant to pierce him harsher than the sword pressed to his throat. But Daichi knows better, hell, he had to. You didn't live this long in his kind of life without an ounce of intelligence.

He hears Bokuto cough behind him. Ah, fine. Dumbass luck was also a key factor sometimes.

Daichi grabs the sword pressed to his throat, ignoring how it cuts into his palm as if he was merely holding back a stick than a weapon intended to kill. Oikawa's face falls from one of triumph to disbelief and concern, watching as Daichi pushes back against his sword with his bare hand.

The two struggle as Daichi walks Oikawa back to the mast, gritting his teeth with the pain and effort. He can hear Kuroo complaining in the background, reminding them that this was a practice fight, but he ignored that, too. Nothing was a simple practice out here: it was fight or die, they all knew that. He knew Oikawa understood that too, struggling to push his sword harder into Daichi's palm as he dug his feet into the wooden flooring to stop Daichi from controlling his movements. He could see it in Oikawa's eyes, the determination to win.

But Oikawa had been wrong about one thing.

Daichi tightens his grip on the sword and pushes himself against it, the edge digging into his skin as he pushes it against Oikawa's own neck, dangerous to the both of them now. Oikawa grits his teeth as the sword angles towards him, Daichi's weight preventing him from moving it elsewhere. They're in a standoff, the sword able to cut both of them unless one of them gave up.

He stares hard into Oikawa's wide, frantic eyes and with that, he knew it wasn't going to be him.

Daichi smiles and leans closer to whisper into his ear, the sword digging into his neck as he says, "I make my own luck."

The sword drops between them with a clatter, amidst a series of laughter and whoops surrounding them from the rest of the crew. Kuroo lands a hand on his shoulder, pulling them apart with a grin.

"Save some of the homoerotics for the rest of us, yeah?"

Bokuto wraps an arm around Daichi from the other side, eyes wide and hopeful, "Is that what we're having for dinner tonight?"

Oikawa groans, pushing himself off of the mast and uncrumpling his shirt. Daichi laughs as Oikawa spots a dot of blood on it, dark amongst the linen, and gasps, "You're all insane! I should've never agreed to set foot on this ship."

"You didn't," a voice says from the right of them. They all turn to see Ushijima with his back to them, retying a rope that must've come undone during their fight.

Oikawa arches an eyebrow at him, scoffing, "Excuse me?"

Kuroo and Bokuto glance at each other over Daichi's head before stepping back simultaneously. Daichi crosses his arms over his chest, watching in wait. Ushijima must feel the stares on him because his back tightens a little as he stands up straight.

He turns around to face them, one hand resting on the rope as he replies matter-of-factly, "You set two feet on this ship. Not one."

Kuroo and Bokuto bust out laughing, and even Daichi can't help the chuckle that leaves him. Oikawa huffs and grabs his sword from the floor before leaving the rest of them to laugh harder upon his exit, all the while grumbling to himself. Ushijima watches Oikawa leave with furrowed brows before glancing at them, almost unsure of what he'd said that was wrong.

Daichi pushes Kuroo off of his back from where he'd rested himself in his laughing fit to make his way to Ushijima, patting him on the shoulder. "Don't worry about it."

There's a thud of something in the distance that quiets the laughter. Daichi looks over the side of the ship into the blue water, waves crashing harder against the hull than had occurred an hour ago. A scream sounded in the distance.

He sighed.

Daichi feels a pat on his shoulder and looks up to see Ushijima staring at him, knowing it was meant to reassure him. He nods and turns to face the crew scattered near him.

He takes in a breath, "She's here - get to your posts! Run the rigging, man the sails, and whatever you do, do not look her in the eye!"

A series of shouts affirm his instructions and he turns to face the sea again, watching the waves crash harder against them, the screams becoming louder to his ears. He puts a hand to his throat, pulling it away to find a small smear of blood on it, matching the one from his cut palm. He grimaces.

Suga was going to kill him, if the kraken didn't succeed first.

This is a blog where I'll be analyzing ships, so literally shiptalking lol Everything is properly tagged and organized, so you shouldn't have much trouble navigating and finding your way around here ^^ I needed somewhere I could yap about the things I'm into without talking my friend's ears off, so I made a blog about it.

I'm big into organizing and listing things, and I really like thinking about all the possibilities of fictional relationships - my goal here is to share my thoughts about and analyze ships from the media I'm into. Don't expect constant or frequent posts, as I am a very very busy college student, but I'll try my best to post whenever I can :)

RULES - I will discuss and talk about pretty much every possible major ship from a specific media. Yes. It's almost every possible ship. This includes ships considered "problematic", "immoral" or "illegal" in any capacity. If that makes you weirded out or uncomfortable in any way, feel free to block or mute specific tags related to the content you do not want to see. Content warning for:

This should be a given, but I feel like i need to outwardly state it: I do not condone, approve of or encourage any of the relationships considered toxic or problematic listed on this blog in real life. I will be talking, speculating and analyzing fictional relationships and fictional relationships ONLY. Emphasis on the fiction, here. This blog does not have a DNI list. However, if you are hateful, disrespectful or otherwise just rude towards me or other people, you will be blocked and ignored. Asks and submissions are okay! You can yap about the ships you like - Any headcanons or thoughts you have about them, things you like about them, etc. Pretty much everything is fair game, however, i will refrain from posting asks that are too negative or otherwise just rude towards other ships. Extra thing i would like to mention - My goal here is to analyze ships critically, giving my own opinion about them and whether they work or not, how they work, etc. I will try to be as fair as possible with my analysis, and will still talk about ships I don't particularly like or care about. However, I will try my best to stay civil about it and won't hate on any of the ships discussed here. I still have the right to have my own opinions about it, though.

Another thing, I will mostly only talk about ships from the media I'm into, and avoid talking about ships from media I have no knowledge about or interest in. FAQ -

Everyone focuses on the things they hate and instead of focusing on the things they love, people tend to spread hate and turn on each other for no reason. I just wanted to shed some light on ships that are either under explored, overshadowed, forgotten or have their tags filled with hate posts. I hate feeling like I'm alone in fandom spaces and I don't want people to feel that way either.

It'd just be awkward as all hell if I ever found a sourcemate I jived with enough to keep in touch with and vice-versa 🤔though that's only happened once so far, with a kintwin, and it's easy for us to keep our shiptalk out of the equation.

tbh seriously considering it. not that this ship needs another name in the long list it already has, but another one can for a change have a specific meaning like a healthier version. it just feels like it's becoming more popular these days, but strictly in the "toxic hatesex" direction. and, like, alright, have fun, but i just want more variety in the shiptags and shiptalks (maybe it just seems to me, but it feels like a couple of years before we actually had this variety and more nuance in conversations 😔)

JyuJiro AU where Jiro gets a fake ID to go to some gay club with his friends. Jyuto sees him there and thinks he's attractive and the fact that he's a minor doesn't even cross Jyuto's mind bc to be in that place guys should be at least 20yo. So Jyuto approaches and flirts with him, and Jiro responds positively. Jyuto ends up taking Jiro home and fucking him. Jyuto goes to work the next day and Jiro leaves. The week passes and Jiro can't take Jyuto out of his head, so he ends up going to the same club the next weekend hoping to meet him. Well, he does meet him, but Jyuto is cold to him and acts uninterested. Jiro insists and Jyuto smirks and asks if he was his first and if Jiro is in love with him now. Jiro has no reaction, but Jyuto just laughs and tells Jiro to forget about him, that he was just playing around and he's not one to settle down with a partner. So Jiro asks for just one more night with him, which Jyuto hesitates but ends up accepting bc he thinks Jiro is cute. They go to Jyuto's place again and get it on. Afterwards, this time, Jiro asks a lot about Jyuto's life, and Jyuto answers most of his questions without thinking twice so Jiro learns that he's a cop in Yokohama, he's 29 years old, he has ties with Yakuza, etc. But Jyuto decides to ask him things too, and Jiro is so into the conversation that he forgets Jyuto thinks he's over 20. He ends up talking about school and revealing his age and Jyuto gets furious. He pretty much kicks Jiro out of his place.

A few days later Jiro shows up at the police station looking for Jyuto bc he wants to apologize. Jyuto is still mad at him and tells him about how what he had done was dangerous for both of them, that it could have ended Jyuto's career even. Jiro apologizes more and more, and tells Jyuto that he won't be going to those kinds of places anymore... as long as Jyuto gave him a chance and they started to date. Jyuto was lowkey shocked by the proposition and after they talk more and Jyuto notices Jiro wasn't kidding about going to other clubs to fuck other guys Jyuto ends up accepting, although not even he knows why. But there's a few conditions like keeping their relationship a secret, as well as the way they first met. So they start dating. At first Jyuto tries to act uninterested so Jiro would give up on him asap, but soon he notices he's getting attached. Their relationship evolves from there.
