This is my first time writing a fanfic. Please bear with me 🥺. Thanks to @subbe93 for your 'pressure', finally i dare to post this 😆.
Day 6 : The Proposal
Twenty one years old Mouri Ran was sitting on the park bench under the tree in the Beika Park. It was a sunny and warm afternoon. She has been sitting for a while with the book in her hands, waiting for a certain detective. She wasn't bore though, since she was too occupied with the book. And it was so relaxing to be outside after some weeks of restricted movement. Too focus she didn't notice someone walking towards her from behind, stopped a few step behind her and cleared the throat. Ran shocked and turned her head quickly, but then smiled when she recognized who it was. Quickly stood up and reached out but the other person faster to gave her a warm hug.
"Yukiko-san! i didn't expect to see you here".
"I know, Ran-chan. This is suppose to be your date with Shin-chan afterall. Of course you aren't expecting me". She winked playfully.
Ran blushed.
"Where is Shinichi? Is he alright, Yukiko-san?" A bit worried.
"It's okay, Ran-chan. Actually Shin-chan needs to do some urgent errand and asks me to pick you up. He's so worried about leaving you alone here. Not that i blame him. He's just become more protective after everything that had happened".
Ran sighed, "I'm not helpless".
"Of course he knows, we all know that, Ran". Yukiko smiled and took Ran's hands, "Shinichi just doesn't want anything bad happen to you".
"I can say the same thing about him".
Yukiko giggled, "Sure, Ran-chan. Anyway, can you help me for some grocery shopping?"
She wondered why Shinichi didn't say anything about the errand. To be honest, she was a little annoyed that Shinichi didn't call or apologize for suddenly canceling their date. Decided that she need to knock some sense into his head the next time they met, she then smiled. She would love to help his mother with the shopping anyway. "I'd be happy to".
--
Kudo Shinichi ran up the stairs to the agency. Panting, he took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Silent. He knocked again.
"Come in!" It was Mouri Kogoro's raspy voice.
Shinichi slowly opened the door, composed himself for whatever was coming. Stepped into the room.
"If you're looking for Ran, she's not here". Kogoro sat facing the window, his back to Shinichi. A cup of coffee on his desk, steaming.
"You know that i'm here to talk to you, Occh.. Kogoro-san".
Kogoro stood up, took the cup, walked to the sofa and sat down. Casually drank the coffee and asked, "Are you gonna stand there forever, Brat?"
Shinichi took that as a cue that the older was willing to have a conversation with him. He sat on the sofa across the table, facing Kogoro. Swallowed the lump in his throat and began to talk, "I don't know if i deserve Ran".
--
It was winter. They gathered in Kudo Mansion and made plans to beat the organization. Everything went according to the plans except for the revelation of the identity of Edogawa Conan by the organization. They knew that Edogawa Conan was Kudo Shinichi who got shrunk because of the apotoxin. The organization tried to capture him as hostage but Ran interfered so they took Conan and Ran instead. Gin and Vodka recognized them as the two teenagers who they met at the Rollercoaster Accident in Tropical Land a year ago.
They brought Conan and Ran to their headquarter, an abandoned drug factory with a huge laboratory in the outskirt of Tokyo, interrogated them to talk about Sherry, the poison and the antidote. Conan kept silent. That was how Ran knew the truth. Then they found out that Ran was Kudo Shinichi's girlfriend, his weakness. Gin smirked and pointed his gun to Ran. Ran was scared but she bravely forbade Conan to say what they asked for. Gin pulled the trigger. Conan lost his mind and jumped at Gin who blew him to the wall. The bullet hit Ran's left stomach, and Conan saw how Ran's shirt turned red. That was when a loud noise came from the outside, the FBI and Tokyo Police Force stormed in.
--
Shinichi shook his head. Ran's pale face, her blood in his hands.. The event of that night still frightened him. It was the biggest showdown, the fallen of the black organization, involving the Tokyo and Osaka Police Force, also FBI and CIA agents. Gin and the others were found dead under the rubble of the factory building. They caught the head and some prominent member of the organization. Ran was save, he gave his blood to her like she did when he was shot in the cave. Vermouth came the other day in the hospital and gave him the formula of the apotoxin so that Haibara could make the antidote. He got his body back.
"I'm really sorry i couldn't protect Ran. I promised myself that i would never let her get hurt, yet i failed.." He lowered his head, "I don't know if i deserve her".
Kogoro just silently watched the detective boy. The boy who usually looked smug now looked miserable. Kogoro smacked his head, "I can't believe you! After everything you two have been through, you want to give up on Ran?!"
Kogoro snorted, "You know how Ran is, Brat. Always do what she believes is right and so stubborn. I'm not saying that i'm not mad at you for all that happened, but maybe you shouldn't treat her as if she's helpless. She can take care of herself".
"I know. I'm just afraid.. of losing her" He swallowed the last part.
Kogoro stood up, walked towards Shinichi and sighed, "You should try to trust her, since you plan to spend the rest of your life with Ran".
Shinichi gasped, wide-eyed, couldn't believe what he just heard. Then stood up and met Kogoro's eyes.
"That's the ring, right?" Kogoro pointed at Shinichi's pocket. He then patted Shinichi's shoulder, "Take good care of her".
Eri stood behind the door, smiled and wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes.
--
A month ago, Shinichi and Ran had dinner. He had offered her a date in tropical land or dinner at the Beika Restaurant Building, but she said she had enough of the both place. She didn't want him vanished at the end of their date. So the two had dinner in a small cozy cafe. He had had the ring for two months already, he kept it in his pocket, but too hesitant to give it to Ran, he wanted the perfect moment. They had a nice dinner and about to walked her home, when suddenly there was a scream. Shinichi cursed silently. A man held a scared small girl and pointed a gun at her head. The crying woman, most probably her mother, begged the man to let the child go. Shinichi observed the situation and then shouted to the mother to crouch. He kicked a soda can, aimed it at the man's hand holding the gun and succeed. He dropped the gun and accidentally loosened his grip on the child. Shinichi ran towards them, caught her from the man, and secured the gun. He handed the child to the mother who cried with relief and thanked him, unaware that the man was holding a switchblade and pointing it at him. Later he heard Ran's voice and a loud bang. He looked back and saw the man lying on the street clutching his stomach, unconscious. And then Ran fell down, there was the blade stuck in her thigh.
--
That night Kudo Shinichi walked to his house with a clear mind and a light heart. He honestly didn't intend to give up on Ran, he just wanted to clear his mind when he decided to meet Ran's father. He did not expect that he actually got the last push to solidify his intention on Ran.
Shinichi opened the front door of the Kudo Mansion and walked towards the kitchen where his parents and Ran were having dinner.
"Shinichi! Where have you been?" Ran got up from her seat and approached him.
"I just came to the agency".
"Agency?"
"Yeah, i met your dad".
"Is it about a case?"
Shinichi smirked, "You can say that, a troublesome tough case".
Ran puzzled.
"Both of you, save your conversation for later, let's have dinner first shall we?" Yukiko pushed the two to their seats.
After the dinner, they all gathered in the Kudo Library. Shinichi and Yusaku discussed something at the study desk, maybe some case. While Ran and Yukiko looked happily at the Kudo Family photo album. Every now and then they laughed at Shinichi's childhood photos. There were many photos of Ran too, no wonder because they practically grew up together since the beginning. The photos brought back all the memories, their first meeting in preschool (that was funny how she used to hated him back then), their childhood adventure with Agasa Hakase, their trip to New York (his very first case and when Ran realized her feeling for him) also their 'date' in Tropical Land (that place left an unpleasant feeling for her). Many things had happened, especially the last few years, who would have thought that they could honestly admit their feelings to each other during the conan fiasco. Ran smiled at the photo album in her hands.
"Nostalgic, huh?" Shinichi's voice came from her right side.
"Yeah, right". Ran answered without even looking, still smiled. And then she remembered something. "Shinichi, what's with that urgent errand?"
He slipped his hands into his pocket, "I came to clear some things with your dad".
Ran turned to him, worried.
Shinichi smiled at her worried face, "Don't worry, he help me clear things out".
"About what?"
"About you". He tucked some strands hair behind Ran's left ear. "I said sorry to your dad for i couldn't protect you. That was all my fault that you got hurt".
Ran protested, "Don't blame yourself, Shinichi. I can take care of myself. And about that last month's incident, it was my fault for not being careful".
Shinichi laughed, "He said the same things, that i should try to trust you since i want to spend the rest of my life with you".
"Yeah, you should listen to my dad, Shinichi". Ran looked proud, "Wait, what?"
Shinichi took her hands and gave her a gentle gaze, "You hear me right, Ran". A slight blush on his cheeks.
She held her breath, a matching blush on her cheeks.
He took out a velvet box from his pocket, "Marry me and become Kudo Ran, will you?"
There were tears at the corner of her eyes, but she smiled so bright, "Of course i'll marry you, detective nerd".
Her smile was contagious, making him smile too. He then took her left hand and slipped the ring to her finger.
Earlier that day Mouri Ran didn't expect their suppose-to-be date would turn into a proposal. Well, a life with Kudo Shinichi always full with an unexpected things. She didn't mind, neither did he, as long as they had each other.
She stared at the ring in her finger, "Thank you, Shinichi".
He held Ran's chin, making her look at him, he then crossed the distance between them and kissed her. Full of love.
--
Yukiko peeked from the library door with the camera in her hands, recorded the important moment. She was very happy for both of them. Yusaku shook his head at his wife's antics. He looked so proud of his son though.

Now that I'm rewatching it, I think I'm able to put into words what I feel about the gratuitous amounts of violence that Kaito faces on the job (unpaid) as Kid. The law enforcement in Japan is more or less hesitant to use violence when faced with Kid (who gets a snippy card gun and what's probably 20 rubix cubes in his pocket), and in the singular instance where Nakamori fires a gun at him while possessed by a spell Akako puts on him, his action basically makes the task force shockedpikachu.png at him. They're pretty bad at catching Kid (very good at dogpiling him) but they do give it their best with what they have.
And this, compared to how trigger happy private detectives (both from Japan and overseas, including Shinichi himself) are when faced with Kid, brings into question on if they're actually performing justice or vengeance.
People with guns (and other misc projectile weapons like soccer balls) do come close to catching him, but that sentence doesn't match the crime. It's actually a very biased form of justice that they adhere to - they're happy to let murderers be led away in handcuffs because they won (successfully deduced the case), but is less happy about Kid making off with the heist target and ending up on the losing end (usually that's when the bullets start coming out). Surely the crime of grand larceny doesn't outweigh actual murder.
I do get that the drama is often heightened for the sake of entertainment, but Shinichi doing this and performing personal vengeance against Kid is an eh move.
Which is why I still believe that Hakuba Saguru would be a better boyfriend for Kaito than Shinichi even after all these years.

I don't think I've ever seriously watched through all of Detective Conan
Things I learned on this binge:
- Sonoko has a sister, who's a film student?? Ayako also has a fiancé who appears several time
- Shoutout to episode 65 for actually featuring some detective work, running around, asking people about stuff, and as a whole, just doing some sleuthing. No convoluted tricks, just a kid's not-so-helpful hints to follow.
- I am of course very taken by episode 76, the introduction of phantom thief 1412. From Shinichi's call to Agasa ('hey please look this guy up for me in my dad's criminal database, I'm going to be meeting with him soon and I want to know about him') to Kaito landing on the roof silently, and Shinichi waxing poetry about his approach; to Kaito going 'hey kid, what'cha doing over there, isn't it past your bedtime?'; to Shinichi's smirk as he fires a little rocket, and him informing Kaito with glee about his little firework. And Kaito immediately recognizes something's off with this kid. Shinichi politely introduces himself, and then, very importantly, says that in that case they don't need to try and pretend around each other. And Kaito smirks, and plays along, and does the opposite of what Shinichi expects; he causes chaos with skill and a smile, and then disappears after chastizing everyone about their lack of humor, about them not recognizing his April fool's joke. Shinichi meanwhile is in awe at his skill. Kaito's little monologue in German is just hilarious too, and so damn iconic:
"Von mir kannst du noch was lernen, kleiner Schnüffler. Im Gegensatz zur Polizei sind Diebe Künstler; sie entwickeln Fantasie um an das zu kommen, was sie wollen. Kriminalisten dagegen sind langweilige Sesselpuper. Sie sind neidisch auf uns, denn uns gehört die Vision." And then he's gone.
Also this episode has Sonoko agreeing with Ran that 'a magician looking into one's soul' is "geil". Oh Sonoko, never change in your horny quest for KID.
Furthering my happiness, Shinichi feeling Kaito's presence abord the ship, feeling watched, and relishing in the hunt. The whole 'c'mon KID, where are you, I want to see what you can do' gets me every time. Shinichi luring KID away, instead of alerting the police, so they can play a little. 'Oh KID, you can't fool me, You would never steal a copy.' Kaito's cartoonishly large eyes when Shinichi destroys the phone with his football. I might've been choking a little when Shinichi dropped the line "Most artists only become famous after death. Let me help you with that :)", only specifying he'll bring him behind bars afterwards. And then Kaito tosses Conan the pearl, flashes Ran's bra, calling himself a perfectionist and immediately triggering Shinichi - which also makes me think, he must've thought something was up with Conan, to flash the bra and get immediate recognition from Shinichi. And Shinichi electing to go save Ran instead of chasing KID, and promising vengeance.
- Also, it's funny to recognize voice actors. In particular, I've noticed both the German voice actress for Rory Gilmore (from Gilmore Girls) as a variety of maid side characters, as well as one of her boyfriend's, Dean's, voice actor as a stage magician. Also at this point it's still Sonoko's original German voice actress; later on she'll get the voice actress for Bloom (Winx Club), and I cannot unhear it. Oh joy.

I was rewatching a lot of Heiji cases, and I was wondering your take on this: If one of Kazuha's failed confessions (circa Furinkazan / The Design of Poison and Mirage) had succeeded, how do you think Heiji would have reacted? Keeping in mind that this is pre-Ebisu bridge, of course, so supposedly he is clueless to his feelings for Kazuha... (love your blog btw!!)
Hiii (sorry for the late reply, but I was completely out of the conan fandom for some time, I still am in a way... But I was feeling like writing a bit so here I am xd)
To this day I don't understand what happened there. It has to be an inconsistency, because remember when they were kidnapped and held captive and Heiji told her that he had to tell her something? Then he said that about her hair tickling his neck? Wtf was that then? It honestly makes no sense. Maybe he had a small crush and then realized he actually is in love with her? Maybe he's dumb? (very possible lmao)
I do have to say that I do enjoy the trope of Heiji being so oblivious to his feelings because I enjoy the idea of Shinichi just- SUFFERING, because of it. I will always remember the episode with the magicians where Heiji tells him he knows why he's jealous and Shinichi is all: !!!!! Oh holy SHIT!!!! Hell yeah bro you amazing tell me, why are you jealous? I don't know it either 👀 and then Heiji tells him it's because Kazuha is like his supporter? Secretary? Helper? (whatever word he used I can't remember and I'm not going to go search I'm too lazy) and Shinichi just.... Crumbles? His fucking reaction to it. His best friend is an idiot. I cry every time.
Anyway, back to your question.
I really don't know. Maybe he would take some time to respond? I say that because shinran kinda parallels this in the opposite way. Shinichi told Ran his feelings and they did not speak about it for god knows how long until Ran responded in Kyoto. Of course it would be a bit different because Ran was actually VERY aware of her own feelings and then again Shinichi was gone for a while... But I think my point still stands. Shinichi and Kazuha parallel each other a lot when it comes to their love lives, so I'm putting my money on Heiji needing a little time at least to think about it.
He would be happy, but he wouldn't know why, so that might trigger his discovery of his own feelings for her, if you get what I mean?

…..I can’t even be happy about this because as much of a sh*t head my beloathed (<333) is, he really did love his Haikus.
This is like injuring the hands of a pianist….my guy lived for these poems man…:[
I understand what’s going on tho,,,
Haruka lost her ability to walk because her greatest fear is not being capable / being seen as incapable (or useless).
That’s why she got so triggered in episode 10 when everyone seemed to like her replacement better than her. Because it made her feel like nothing she did was good. That all the effort and emotion she put in (at the detriment to herself) was nothing. That she was nothing.
And now she can’t walk on her own. She has to rely on others. She can’t be as “capable” as she was once before. :x
Likewise, for Shinichi,,,
Haikus are….a part of him. They give him joy. For him its almost similar as his Haikus being his purpose for living. Now both Haiku and Haruka have lost essential (major, MAJOR) parts of themselves.
This bad luck sh*t is so fked up 💀🪦

The amount of times in the show that Conan just straight up becomes unresponsive because he’s freaking the fuck out is, to be honest, a bit concerning. It seems to happen more as the series progresses, but it certainly appeared a few times early on.
Which, one could say that it’s just like when he’s deducing and doesn’t notice people talking to him. Or when he’s so busy staring at soemone that he doesn’t notice people talking to him. But, honestly? These scenes are concerning too.
He doesn’t realize people are talking to him until they call his name enough to jostle him out of it. When he’s staring at people, this is really concerning! He’s so focused on the person he’s looking at, most often a literal murderer, he tunes out the rest of the world. Most people, if they’re looking at someone realy hard, will hear people, they’ll just be distracted in answering. They’ll hear the voice and the tone and respond to those instead of the words. The fact the Conan doesn’t hear them at all, leaves us wondering how focused he is on them. If he’s so focused that his ears are ringing with the sound of his thoughts, which are so loud he has no choice but to focus on only them, well that leads to panic attacks.
Most of the time, when Conan or Shinichi are deducting, it’s shown as a very short thing. His mind jumps to make the connections, because his mind probably connects things that other people’s minds wouldn’t. Most scenes are short, because Conan/Shinichi figures out one part, then the second part, then the third and so on in little bursts. Something will be said and his mind makes a connection with something else that was said and he deduces things from that, which sounds like a long process but could be a quick as snapping your fingers. The scenes where Conan is thinking on something and the connections aren’t coming and he doesn’t notice other people talking to him are a bit rare. While Conan can figure things out if he thinks through them long enough, his brain isn’t really made to do that. It takes him so much longer and he has to put himself so deep in his thoughts that, even if he did hear people call for him, he wouldn’t respond because there’s that feeling of “It’s on the tip of my tongue and if I say nothing and don’t move and don’t breath and keep circling this thought in my head, the connection will come.”
You could say that this is just an overly long explanation on why I think Conan/Shinichi have signs of having ADHD or something similar to it (autism is an option). Why, I could end this by saying that even Conan’s seeming adversity to being touched, ie., looking uncomfortable when he’s drawn into hugs and getting stiff-backed even when Ran hugs him, could be a sign of such mental health because people with ADHD and autism don’t like touch. One of the reasons they don’t is because it’s sensory. It’s another thing their brain has to focus on, on top of everything else it pays attention to, and it’s stressful to suddenly have to think about something you didn’t expect. This also explains why he’s seemingly fine with Kogoro lifting him up by the back of his shirt: his mind relaxes the body because it knows being stiff would end up with the body being hurt, either from the collar digging into his neck or that it would be hard to time when to relax since Kogoro picks him up and drops him sporadically. But, also, it’s not skin contact. Conan wears clothes that don’t bother him, clothes that he seems to forget he’s wearing because he hardly ever takes note of them. He puts on clothes in the morning and forgets about them for the rest of the day, which means we can reasonably assume that he’s fine with the texture of the cloth, meaning even if it did get pulled uncomfortably tight, the tightness would be the issue, not the clothes.
There’s also, which I’ve been trying to figure out how to word it jokingly for a while, how he doesn’t mind the touch of animals. Conan refuses to hug most people, tending to get dragged into them, but he opens his arms willing for animals. Whether it’s Jirokichi’s dog, Lupin, jumping on him or the many cats in the series who approach him, Conan is fine picking up and giving and receiving physical affection from them. People who are touch-averse often turn to animals, perhaps without even realizing it. A part of being human is needing social interactions, one of which is physical touch. The good thing about humans is that, as social animals, we don’t have to get touch from another human, almost any other animal makes our dumb mammal hindbrain happy. Touch-averse people still need touch, even if it isn’t from other humans, so they often find it through dogs or cats. Conan seems to be one of these people, if we compare his reaction to animals touching him to his reaction to people touching him. (Of course, a part of it is probably that it’s easy to tell when an animal is going to jump on you or ask for affection. You have a bit of time to brace yourself, so to speak. Telegraphed movements aren’t very common in Detective Conan, since it deals with murder and sporadic movements, making obvious-signals of animals all the better for someone touch-averse.)
Perhaps, I’m jumping to conclusions. But, I, as well as other people with ADHD, can remember times where we had a similar light bulb moment to Conan’s. Someone will say something and our brain hits the gas and takes us to our destination. But! There’s also that sometimes, all it takes for Conan to piece something together is for him to say the words outloud and ask the question. This is very common for people with ADHD. Just thinking it leaves the thought it the tangle of the rest of thoughts that exist. Saying it aloud often triggers the brain to put more focus on what you’re saying. It’s a neat trick, maybe it works for neurotypicals too, I wouldn’t know.
Was this just a long, convoluted essay on why I think Kudou Shinichi has ADHD or autism? Yes. It was. Was this a too-long essay I wrote because I’ve been psychoanalyzing this character for almost ten years? Yes, that is the case. Are there more things I could add, like how Conan/Shinichi doesn’t understand why other people aren’t as in to solving crimes as him, how he seems baffled by the very idea that he should put the woman he’s in love with over figuring out who killed this guy, how he doesn’t seem to recognize romantic signals unless they aren’t directed at him, and how he doesn’t understand why people get mad at him for telling the solution to magic tricks? Sure. Couldn’t I also add that many animals like neurodivergent people, cats because they don’t like being stared at and pestered, dogs because dogs are empathetic and like hugs, which could be why Conan attracts animals to him so often and those animals like him a lot? I could.
This got out of hand, I’m done now, I promise.

Wakasa Rumi Theory Series: Part 3 of 3
So this is it, the final part of my Wakasa Rumi Theory Series!
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
Here I'll be talking about the last two points in bold. Part 1 and Part 2 already covered points 1-3 and points 4-5.
Why I think she's Asaca
Her probable relationship to Haneda Koji.
How she became Amanda's bodyguard.
What might have happened on the day of Haneda Koji's murder.
How Haneda Koji's dying message directly refers to RUM as his killer.
Why Wakasa went on a hiatus for 17 years since the murder.
Reason behind Haibara liking Wakasa.
As usual, happy reading 😁💛
6. Why Wakasa went on a hiatus for 17 years since the murder.
Now this point will have so many things that will go into it, so hopefully no one gets lost along the way 🙌🏼
As per my theory in Part 2, I believe Wakasa had a full on confrontation with RUM after she found Haneda Koji dead. And now that she's also the lead suspect for a crime she didn't commit, the logical thing would be that she goes into hiding. The first case she was ever involved in (Chapter 968) foreshadowed the possibility of someone going into hiding for years. And after literally crossing paths with a dangerous BO member, she probably changed her appearance. This was also foreshadowed in the Pro-golfer murderer case that probably hints to the fact that she is in disguise or had plastic surgery altogether. That's why I'm not entirely sure if we can judge that she could be Atsushi's sister based on appearance (I talked about it in an ask here).
Tumblr media
Now during the time she was in hiding, she could have still been trying to investigate the BO or trying to find a way to infiltrate it. During that time, she must have crossed paths with Kuroda 10 years ago. If they were both investigating around the same time, they could have very well crossed paths. Her reaction to meeting Kuroda the first time was just as triggered as when she saw Wakita leave the school, except this time, she wasn't as scared to talk back to Kuroda which implies she has interacted with him before and knows of him. At the same time, Kuroda's knowing smirk when he found out Wakasa was going on a camping trip. Implying it's not like her to go camping further strengthens that they met each other before.
Tumblr media
Then, Kuroda must have fallen a victim to the accident that put him in a coma for 10 years. During that time, Wakasa must have trained even more and eventually joined some security or intelligence department like the PSB, FBI, CIA or MI6. I am drawing more parallels of her character based on Jodie who was very suspicious in the Vermouth arc but was in fact an FBI agent. Another such similarity is just like Jodie lived in a high rise apartment that Heiji noted is very expensive for an English teacher, Wakasa also lives in an expensive building. A pro-golfer even lived there so rent must have not been cheap.
Tumblr media
So yes, my theory is Wakasa started working for some intelligence security department ever since Kuroda's accident and her main goal was to investigate the BO and steal information about them. If like Haibara she managed to hack into the BO's database, the following points would make sense:
She holds a very recent list of the APTX-4869 victims that has Kudo Shinichi on it.
She managed to find out about Miyano Shiho and 'Hell Angel'.
She could have discovered that Amuro is a BO agent which is why she fought him to retrieve the shogi piece, especially after Kobayashi-sensei introduced him as a private eye.
She described Karasu as someone that has 'Karasu' in their name as someone who is difficult to approach and a conspirator so it's very likely she tried to infilitrate the BO to get close to him.
The reason why she briefly triggered Haibara's BO sense was because she recalled her confrontation with Wakita while gripping the bishop and Uma shogi piece that refers to him in Haneda Koji's dying message.
Tumblr media
Now coming onto the final point in this series:
7. Why Haibara likes Wakasa.
I don't know if I am entirely convinced it's because Haibara is in fact related to Wakasa or if her being Atsushi's sister bears any weight since we can't really judge by appearances if Wakasa did get plastic surgery or is sporting a disguise. But, let's backtrack a little. When Okiya Subaru was first introduced, Conan was incredibly trusting of what seemed to be a very suspicious character. Turns out this is because he was Akai in disguise and Conan was the mastermind behind this. Haibara may not be the mastermind behind Wakasa's situation but I'm guessing she knows something about her that we don't and it shall be revealed to us later.
And that's it! Omg I can't believe how long it took me to put this out. As exhausting as it was, it was so much fun to write 😂.
(In cased you stumbled upon this post first, these are the links for Part 1 and Part 2)!
I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did and I'm open to everyone's thoughts and opinions 😁 💛🖤

Taliya’s first ask game!
Let’s see. I have to ask about ”No. Just…No,” “MiwakoConan,” “WealthManager,” “CoreResonance,” and “EdWWII.”
You don’t have to answer them all, pick a few!
I’m more than happy to answer all of them, circ.  :)
No.  Just...  No. DCMK - This one is pretty old, and was actually inspired by one of Poirot Cafe’s Themed Writing Contest back when the forum was still active.  Anyhow, this fic focuses on Shinichi going stag to a gala, helping a woman fend off her handsy date, and then deal with a band of party crashing thieves with an apparent axe to grind against him.  He escapes them and manages to take them down with the woman from before... who happened to be a cross-dressed, off-duty KID.
MiwakoConan DCMK - Somehow my brain really likes messing with origin stories.  So this one was to be a what if: what if Miwako was family friends with the Kudous and found him first after he had been poisoned?  I’ll be frank in saying this one is not nearly as fleshed out in plot as some of the others, but having someone who was professionally in law enforcement know from the start would make the plot go in some very different directions.  >:)
WealthManager DCMK - Another skeleton idea, but this one had to do with Kaito being a professional wealth manager, career-wise.  It means that he would be personally looking after the accounts of the ultra wealthy (he can see how much they have and has their permission to move/invest as he sees fit as long as it increases their accounts), so what if he happened to be the one overseeing Ano Kata’s?  Like, honestly, what kind of havoc could he do with that kind of power, as long as he had a way to ensure it would not be traced back to him?
CoreResonance MDZS - Jiang Cheng gets accidentally caught/accidentally triggers (not sure yet) a spell that sends him back into the past.  The catch here is at the present time he never learned that Wei Wuxian had given up his golden core for him, so once he figures out what time he is in (past) he wonders why his cultivation resonates with his brother when WWX’s doesn’t with his own in return.  JC is back just after the end of the Sunshot Campaign, still unaware that WWX cannot cultivate normally, and ahhh I don’t know if I am explaining this clearly enough!  But let me know if I need to clarify more.
EdWWII FMA x HP - So this uses The Conqueror of Shambala movie-verse, where Ed gets sent to London, though this time amidst WWII instead of WWI.  This basically ties in with the current pre-HP series movie-verse that deals with Grindelwald.  But in this fic, Ed hears about the Philosopher’s Stone and goes hunting for Nicholas Flamel as WWII rages on in the Muggle world and Grindelwald rages about in the Magical one.

Summary:
“We’re not leaving you,” Ran says with determination.
“You’re stuck with us,” Shinichi snorts.
And Sonoko? Sonoko wants to cry. She just wants to stay with them, like this. Forever.
.
.
.
Twelve.
It is warm inside the Suzuki residence. Feeling extremely bored, the young Suzuki suddenly decides to do an activity which involves water guns. Having already done their homework and revisions, and with watching TV mindlessly boring her, she just feels like doing something physical. So Sonoko convinces Ran to play, and they wear swimming costumes under casual clothes so as not to catch a cold before grabbing their water guns. It has been thirty minutes since then.
However, there is something missing from this scenario. She ponders the thought. What is it?
It feels like there is someone missing from this group… Ah, yes. Shinichi! She’d forgotten!
She turns around to see Shinichi sitting on a bench, reading another mystery novel that he had borrowed from their library, having already refused to join in on their activities.
Why is he reading that book and not joining in?
Ah yes, because that little brat has ‘better things to do than get himself drenched in cold water from a fake gun’. His words, not hers. Sonoko is annoyed. Very, very annoyed.
So when she impulsively decides to forcibly bring him into the ‘pointless’ activity with herself and Ran, the world need not blame her.
She shushes Ran, then slowly and sneakily walks towards the wannabe detective who is looking at the back of the book with a contemplative expression, and when she arrives at the destination, she raises her hand up, pointing towards him. Barely holding in a giggle, she pulls the trigger.
SPLAAASH!
“UWAAH!”
A steady fountain of water lands on his head, wetting his hair and splattering onto his clothes, a few touching the book. Ah well, it’s on the back, so it’s going to be readable. Even if it isn’t, her library has one or two extra copies, so it’s fine. He still instinctively puts the book out of the way while shielding his face, so there. A few more seconds, and she stops.
A long silence.
Shinichi is the one who breaks it. He puts his arm down, gawks at her. His mouth opens and closes like a gaping fish. “Did you—” he clears his throat. “Did you just splash water on me?”
“Yup, I did!” she says cheekily, popping the ‘p’.
Somewhere in the background, she hears soft, suppressed laughter at the display.
“...” He looks down, his wet hair covering his eyes. “What the hell?” Sonoko remains silent, not gracing him with an answer just yet. “What the hell are you doing, Sonoko?”
She raises her eyebrow. “Playing water guns. What else am I doing?”
“Well then,” Shinichi’s voice is low, “riddle me this. I have not done anything to you today or ever. I didn’t want to come here but you dragged me here anyway so I borrowed this book and left both of you alone to play whatever it is you like to play with. But then you came sneaking on me, involved me in your game without warning, and ruined a perfectly written novel. So tell me…” His head raises ever so slightly, giving her a glare. “What did I ever do to deserve this kind of treatment?”
Having been around him for long enough to be immune to his glares, Sonoko just deadpans and gives him a glare of her own. “Oh, you’ve done plenty. First of all, you’re boring. Second of all, you left us alone and read whatever that is in your own solitude. I don’t know what the heck is up with that. Third of all, I dragged you here for a reason. And finally, that book is still intact. It isn’t the end of the world if a few droplets just happened to land on that book. Oh, and did I forget to mention that you’re boring?”
“Oh, am I?” He slowly stands up from the bench, still glaring at her. “And what do you want me to do about that, oh gracious heiress?” The last lines are dripping with sarcasm.
“You’re forgetting,” Sonoko drawls as she steps backwards a little, the corners of her lips twitching up, “about the fact that it’s currently the winter holiday, we’re 12, in middle school, we’re still young, and we have perfectly logical reasons to partake in fun activities like this one?”
His eyebrow raises into his hairline, tone curious despite the glare intensifying. “Oh? I didn’t know that you knew such big words.”
“You’re the one to blame. I’ve been infected with your loquacity.”
“Ah, thank you for the compliment, Your Graciousness.”
Sonoko’s eyebrow twitches. “The hell’s with that?”
He skillfully ignores her. “So…?”
She deadpans at him and just sighs as she raises the hand holding the gun, pointing at him. “So, a little bird told me that you’ve learned how to shoot with your dad in the middle of nowhere?” Shinichi’s stare is all the answer she gets. “Won’t you show me those lame skills of yours?” And before he can reply, Sonoko immediately pulls the trigger.
SPLAAASH!
Cold water hits his head, splashing droplets everywhere. Once again, he raises his hand to shield his face. And once again, silence.
“Oh. You actually want to do this? Fine.” Shinichi mutters as he lowers his arm, his glare at Sonoko intensifying once more. His lips curl into a smirk, his teeth showing. For once, Sonoko feels a tiny bit of fear growing from her being, but she skillfully rids herself of it. “Let’s play.”

Prompt 17 sounds good for ShinRan 🤭
Thank you for waiting! Another serving of soft ShinRan coming right up! Hope this is good enough for you, Anon. Much love. 💙
17. Tucking their hands beneath the other person’s shirt, just to watch them break the kiss and gasp in surprise at the sensation of cold/warm hands on their skin. (1,287 words)
.
.
.
Contrary to what others might think, working with the FBI to defeat an underground organization while still in his prime did not make Shinichi feel invincible. What it succeeded in doing though, was screw him up and distort his idea of normal.
It’s a decision he purposely chose, remembering the day he went after a suspicious man in black after his date in Tropical Land. Nothing, however, could’ve ever prepared him for the damnifying consequences that followed. Before he knew it, he was thrown into an arena meant for adults, while still being a teenager. Suddenly, there were so many people to distrust, so many secrets to keep, so many days waking up full of dread, uncertain who among his loved ones had been taken while he’s asleep—like he was living straight out of a film.
As young as he was then, he coped by expecting the worst in every scenario. Not at all the healthiest mechanism, but the most realistic. It’s not like he was given much of a choice anyway. ‘We’re alive because we have plans ready when things turn extreme south,’ Akai-san used to say. And he’s right. Plotting plans after plans for every situation ranging from bad to worst, saving his or another ally’s death as the last probable option. That’s the best—at the same time worst—he could do, in a reality he had to accept.
He survives, but that doesn’t mean the nightmares end there. He brings them with him, in his mind, crippling his ability to think like a normal person, because he’s so used to being not.
That’s why when things fall into the right place, instead of actually feeling fortunate, he’s just...appalled. Like this right here isn’t supposed to happen, because his mind says so. This isn’t normal. His normal.
It’s sad, how he’s gotten so used to rejecting the idea of a good outcome that when it actually happens, he refuses to take it. He has prepared himself so much for the bad days to the point that he forgets how to act when a day in his life actually isn’t.
Like right now.
He wakes up to gloomy skies outside.
Surprised why he isn’t freezing when he’s barenaked, he notices that the heater’s been turned on. He looks at the space beside him. No one’s there.
The silence and empty sheets only serve to trigger dreams he used to have, those which never ended well. Has she left? Where has she gone? Did she leave on her own? Who took her? Is she alive?
Putting on his boxers and house pants he finds scattered near his feet, he anxiously goes out the bedroom, only for the sound of clanging utensils and the aroma of pancakes filling his senses.
Anyone who isn’t Shinichi would’ve calmed down at this point. But he is Shinichi, and if there’s another takeaway he picked up from his ridiculous past, it’s that the most seemingly normal situations are the situations he needs to put his guard up the highest. So he inhales deeply and walks, footfalls as quiet as his breathing.
Yet for some inexplicable reason, the closer he gets to the source, the more his muscles relax. This is...new. Akai-san and Jodie-sensei didn’t teach him any alternative to thinking of the worst in every situation. It’s always ‘put your guard up’. They didn’t talk about gut feelings; their plans were always backed by logic.
Perhaps that feeling cannot be taught. Because right now, there’s no plan. Walking on tiptoes is hardly a plan. He’s bare and defenseless, nothing but him and his gut feel, telling him not to worry.
And he trusts it.
Standing there behind the kitchen island is her, back facing him, faintly humming a tune he doesn’t understand but still a melody to his ears. She looks so beautiful wearing his shirt, a little too oversized for her, hair tied up in a messy bun. She doesn’t seem to notice his presence as she continues whisking the batter before pouring some into the pan. Two plates with one pancake each rest on the kitchen island beside a bottle of honey syrup and some bowl of fruits, and apart from the pancakes is the aroma of brewing coffee.
Shinichi blinks, unable to take his eyes off of what he’s seeing because he’s almost unsure if this is real. Even his dreams don’t show anything of this sort. When has this all started again? How long has he been living like this?
Everything’s so... domestic. So peaceful. So right.
Makes him feel like he’s never gone through anything ugly in his life.
Acting on pure impulse, he approaches her, snakes his arms around her waist, placing his chin on her shoulder. She, on the other hand, welcomes the sudden intrusion, head tilting sideways to rest against his.
“Hey.”
“Shinichi? You’re already awake.”
“I love you.”
For sure she isn’t expecting anything like that from him this early. If any, she might’ve thought something was up. She turns her head enough to see his face, eyes filled with gentle wonder.
“You’re so odd.” Ran touches his cheek, staining him with pancake batter from her fingers as she brushes his skin with her thumb.
“I love you,” he repeats, like his vocal cords are designed to say just this. Because he really does. He never wants her away.
Planting a chaste kiss on his lips, she says, softly, “I love you, too.”
His past self and past experience would’ve never allowed him to dream of a day like this to come.
Yet here he is.
And here they are.
Delicately, he spins her around to give her a more proper kiss, unmindful of the spatula she still holds and the half-cooked pancake behind them. Ran is okay, she always is, and she’s in his house, cooking for them. She isn’t a dream. She’s right here, in his arms, kissing him. Nothing was wrong.
And he’s always forgetting how this isn’t new. He’s been with Ran for months, for years, and since the fall of the organization his family, his loved ones, his Ran, they’re all safe. Nothing is wrong.
The past is done and over with. It’s time he breathes again, like the normal guy that he is in a normal world he deserves to live in, sharing a normal life with his future wife. Nothing will ever be wrong.
Because that’s truly how it should be.
With his emotions heightening, Shinichi’s arms around her tighten, eliminating the littlest space there is between them. Their kiss deepening by fractions, he finds himself tucking his hands under her shirt - his shirt - only for her to jolt, separating their lips with a soft sound.
“Your hands are so cold,” she gasps.
‘Yeah, because apart from waking up cold, I woke up with you gone.’
‘I got paranoid. It happens sometimes.’
‘It’s probably the trauma.’
“And you’re so warm. I could hug you all day,” is what he says instead.
Ran plays with his hair, stares at his azures with so much love and affection, warmth of her flesh thawing his frigid body.
“It’s snowing outside, Shinichi. That’s why you’re so cold.”
Whether or not she knows what’s going through his mind, the way she says this so calmly, so reassuringly, is enough to make every tense fiber in his being relax, enough to make him forget why he’s thinking like this in the first place. His expression softens, curve pulling up his lips.
“Yes, that’s why.”
With a final sigh into her lips, he asks, “Back to bed after breakfast?”
She smiles, kisses him fondly. “Sure.”
Shinichi would’ve never dreamt of a day like this to come, but here he is. And here they are.
Happy, contented.
Normal.

The Dead Don’t Cry
Guess who’s just started The Walking Dead? (;-_-)/ And guess what this is—well y'all got it right, it’s a zombie!au fic! I will apologize for the things I write here, but I am not sorry for being lured into zombie!au  D:
Fandom: Detective Conan/DCMK Pairing: Shinichi/Ran Rating: PG-13 Genre/Tags: Tragedy, Angst, Horror, Zombie!AU Warning: Character Death Summary: He still thinks she’s as beautiful as ever. She is still the one to brush the hair out of his eyes when they’re about to go to sleep to dream of their previous lives.
It’s been very quiet.
Ran is quiet. She’s been quiet for about a week now.
Shinichi is used to the absence of humanly sound outside, save for the constant noises from the zombies that serves as a reminder that their world out there has been left for the dead to roam.
But that’s okay because he knows Ran is still there. All he has to do is cheer her up. He’s just waiting for her to wake up from her beautiful slumber. And when she’s up and about, he’ll have a scrumptious plate of breakfast for her to start the day well.
“Smells delicious. Absolutely delectable,” Ran praises dreamily, walking into the dining room and taking in a whiff or three. There she is, Shinichi grins.
When she proceeds to feast on the food he prepared, Shinichi whips out his faithful shotgun and sets it on the table, just in case.
These days, he trusts his shotgun more than anything. He’ll survive as long as he has it with him—and his girlfriend, his childhood friend, the only person he’d give anything up for. It hurts to think that their tomorrows have been stolen, that they have to grow old without their family and friends, if they even survive this. But this is after, not before. And even though it hurts, it’s for the best that Shinichi learns to keep his finger steady on the trigger.
“Maybe you can do more cooking from now on,” Ran jokes light-heartedly, because she knows he doesn’t like to cook, nor is he good at it. He only does it today because Ran has fallen so deep in her sleep. She doesn’t get much sleep nowadays, nor does he, not with the nightmares that lace even the brightest of their dark nights. So when he sees her sleeping so peacefully, how dare he wake her?
“I’ll do my best,” Shinichi says earnestly, extending his left hand to intertwine it with hers. If it makes her happy, he’ll do it. There’s nothing much that can cheer her up nowadays.
All he’s been trying to do is to make her smile. And it’s strange because Ran looks like she’s about to cry, her eyes foggy and her mouth twisting into a protest.
The dead don’t cry. Their bodily functions, like tear production and activation of the visceral motive system, stop working. That’s what being dead means.
But not Ran. She’s not dead. She’s very much here, and Shinichi is grateful that he’s still able to feel the warmth seeping from her presence.
It’s hope that will end up killing him. He’s sure of it. At night he counts his blessings carefully, however little he has left, pocketing his hopes of keeping Ran’s dissolving remnants of humanity and sanity intact. So far, someone or something up there is listening to him. But for what price?
He stands up to collect their dishes and silverware to be washed, but not before slinging his shotgun back around his shoulder. After he turns around, he hears her. “Shinichi, you wouldn’t really shoot me, would you?”
He pauses in his steps. The question weighs heavily on his blood-stained palms.
Would he? Does he have to? Can he?
“You know I can’t.”
Even if Shinichi no longer believes in anything, he believes in Ran.
“I know, but I want you to,” She whispers so quietly that he almost mistakes it for a breathy exhale.
Is he hearing her correctly? After all, his ears have been ringing since the last time he fired his shotgun at a herd of those monsters.
“You know you have to,” Ran presses on. Her eyes are shining with sincerity. If Shinichi is no longer certain about anything, this conversation makes him certain of one thing.
And the words ring so violently until his heart threatens to shatter along with his composure. The last thing in this entire apocalyptic world that he can control.
He yells, “Stop the nonsense, Ran. Why are you saying all these?” He can feel his heart beating so fast against his ribcage that it hurts.
They both know the answer already, but they’re reading the lines of their script because this is what Shinichi needs—closure. This is their arabesque melting into a finale.
“I’m scared.”
He hears her whimper. My God, Shinichi realizes with a thump. Of all the things in the world that she’s scared of, Shinichi never wants to be one. He drops his shotgun to the floor, so now Ran has nothing to be afraid of. He thinks Ran doesn’t seem to notice anymore, but maybe she does, because she picks it up and slings it on her shoulder with much ease.
“Zero rate of survival, right? That’s what you told me. I don’t want to be one of them.” Her fingernails dug their way into her own arms, sinking into the flesh. Shinichi feels lightheaded at the sight of her sputtering blood. He makes his way back to the table to halt her movements before she injures herself even further. She stops him in place with the shotgun pointing at him. “I’m already becoming violent, Shinichi. Can’t you see that I’m turning?”
No, Shinichi wants to say. He still thinks she’s as beautiful as ever. Even though Ran may have dark red sclera encircling her foggy irises and pasty mottled skin, and purplish, blood-caked fingernails, she is still the one to brush the hair out of his eyes when they’re about to go to sleep to dream of their previous lives.
Contrary to her words, Ran’s cloudy eyes brighten, and she becomes increasingly more animated.
She continues, blood dribbling from her arms, dripping and staining the ivory carpet. Shinichi is momentarily distracted. He remembers his mother reprimanding him for almost spilling his juice on her newly-bought carpet, but that was years ago. Still, nothing but good memories here.
“You have to end this, Shinichi, before you plead with me to stop. Before you beg me to stop. Before I have flies following me around in swarms and maggots squirming in my ears.” Ran stands up, body violently jerking with her every word.
“I don’t want to be the one who tears you apart!” She shouts pleadingly. It’s ironic, because every part of him has already been ripped into pieces anyway. “I don’t want your last memories of me to be the me who can barely speak other than with gurgles. Not when I won’t even be able to see you.”
When Ran pulls the trigger, a loud bang erupts, and everything around Shinichi is muffled. Even Ran’s face is muffled, a burst of red distorting what had once been gentle eyes, jawline kissed with maroon butterflies.
As he bends down to clean her face, (Ran has always been a neat person, Shinichi clicks his tongue), he wonders how she could have decayed so much suddenly. He cleans the barrel of his shotgun and tries to recall when Ran’s eyes stopped shining and turned frosty. But Shinichi must remind himself:
Ran is dead. She’s been dead for about a week now.

At times, Heiji had to remind himself that Shinichi was, in fact, a genius, and not a complete and total idiot. He supposed that most of the situations that Kudo got himself into were unavoidable in some sense, as his sheer dedication to finding the truth to every mystery presented to him was nearly unstoppable. But sometimes it made him wonder, you know? The first time Shinichi told him about a few of the cases that he handled as Conan, particularly the ones involving the Detective Boys, Heiji had wanted to cradle him in his arms and literally never let him out of his sight. The image of Kudo—of Conan—drowned in a private cave system, lost, scared, and alone in his final moments was brought to the forefront of his mind, and he almost cried. Almost.
It really didn’t help that Shinichi was just so...lackadaisical about being in near-death situations. Like, Heiji understood, he really did. He was also stupid and stubborn and a little too trigger-happy when it came to diving head-on into dangerous situations, but there was a point, in his own experience, where you sit down and think, “Wow. That just happened. I almost died. I was almost not here right now. I almost drowned in a private cave system where no one would find me for weeks or months or ever.” Heiji still wasn’t over that one.
As soon as they’d begun hanging out more regularly, Heiji noticed a sharp increase in the amount of times his life was seemingly in danger, and when they’d started dating? Well, it had almost become a near-daily occurrence at that point. Running into burning buildings and examining the recently deceased became Heiji’s daily routine and he was happy because, well, Kudo was by his side. If he thought about it, it was really only a matter of time before a situation like the one they were in now came about.
Shinichi was trying to disarm a very complicated bomb at the moment. There were thirty-odd passengers aboard the train, many of whom were currently freaking out about the fact that there was a bomb set to go off in less than five minutes that could in no way be removed from the train. If the train stopped, the bomb goes off, if they slow down, the bomb goes off, if Shinichi didn’t disarm it within five minutes? It goes off. Overall, this was definitely not how Heiji had envisioned their supposedly relaxing three-year anniversary trip.
“Heiji,” Shinichi reached a hand out towards him and Heiji handed him a flashlight, “Can I ask you a question?”
Heiji frowned, that was never a good sign, “Yes.” A few moments pass and a hundred different scenarios run through Heiji’s mind, every possibility of what the next words out of Kudo’s mouth could be, and yet?
“Will you marry me?” Shinichi ginned as much as he could as he put the flashlight between his teeth, eyes still focused on the wires as he carefully moved them around. Heiji just blinked, his mouth open, mind blank. That definitely wasn’t what he’d been expecting.
Shinichi spared him a glance, grin still firm on his face, and motioned with his head toward his pocket, “Ring’s in the back left pocket. You can get it if you want.”
“Shinichi.” Heiji took a deep breath and closing his eyes for a moment, willing the frustration building in him down. He moved closer, placing a hand on Shinichi’s shoulder.
“You’re going to propose to me properly when we get off this damn train.” Heiji smiled, taking the flashlight from Shinichi’s mouth. Shinichi’s eyes lit up not a second later - he found what he’d been looking for.
“Of course,” Shinichi said, smiling as he caught Heiji’s gaze, “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Shinichi snipped the wire and for a brief moment, the clock ticked on. One second, two, three, and then it stopped. Nothing. No big explosions, just two detectives tentatively holding their breath.
Shinichi let out a long stream of breath, dropping the wire cutters haphazardly onto the floor. He wrapped his hands around Heiji’s and just started laughing, collapsing to the floor and bringing Heiji down with him. Shinichi’s laughter was infectious -  it always was - so Heiji laughed along with him.
“Well,” Shinchi grinned, arms wrapped tight around Heiji as he buried his face into Heiji’s shoulder, “Happy Anniversary.” Heiji huffed, chuckling.
“Yeah,” He kissed Shinichi’s hair, “Happy Anniversary, drama queen.” Shinichi pulled back, feigning offense.
“Since when have I ever been dramatic? I was being serious.” Shinichi maneuvered enough to pull the sleek ring box from his back pocket, holding it out to Heiji, “I had a big thing planned out, you know. There was going to be a fake murder scene and everything.”
“A fake murder scene. And that doesn’t scream ‘Drama Queen’ to you?” Heiji teased, flipping open the ring box to reveal an elegant band of twisted silver and gold.
Shinichi brought his hand up to Heiji’s face, cupping his cheek, “Do you like it?”
“Yeah.” Heiji leaned into the touch, smiling, “I do.” He leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to Shinichi’s lips.
