actually like for real is "morally grey" just being used as a stand-in term for 'character who is well written and interesting and nuanced' as opposed to like a character whose morals and actions are too messy to be classified as either black or white? because if that's true i hate it here. like i really do.

there have been 10000 posts about how people can't be normal about fictional women, and that's true. often you see fictional girls talked about like they're the devil for like being mildly sassy at the fan favorite the one time, but truly like evil or actually morally grey women get fuckin morally whitewashed by so many of their fans like they also can't bear the idea she might suck shit.

that's not like a strictly fictional woman phenomenon, evil/morally grey men get this shit all the time, because i think on some level people can't like. cope with the idea their faves suck. i feel like a lot of people want to feel like the characters they like are good because they fear its a reflection of their own morals if they're not. and it's not. the things you like in fiction are not an indicator of your morality; they just are things you like in fiction.

but that said i find the phenomenon more interesting when it comes to ethically dubious/bankrupt women because truly for a website constantly screaming about how they want well written women in villainous roles, you guys do not know what to do with them at all even when you like them! When you are given the thing you've been clamoring for forever, you either want her to die or you're scrambling desperately to make her less what she is, and in the process desecrating the things that made her interesting and unique. often it just ends up dovetailing back into classic misogyny where if she's not perfect and pure then she's not worth it, but i just kinda don't think fictional women have to be 'good' or even 'not evil' to be worthy of attention, praise, and adoration.

It was a calm afternoon, enveloped in the fleeting scent of cherry blossoms.

I couldn't help but call out to Prince Kagari as he passed by.

Emma: "Prince Kagari, do you have the day off today?"

Kagari: "Yeah, how did you know?"

Emma: "You're not wearing your usual clothes."

Kagari: "Ah, I see. You haven't seen this yet, have you? I often wear these when I'm not at official or social events."

(So his casual clothes look like this. They look comfortable.)

Unlike his usual refined and elegant attire, today he wore something more relaxed, in a subdued color with a looser fit and an open collar.

Maybe it was because I'd always seen him looking so polished, but I found Prince Kagari’s casual look a bit cute.

(Even though it's just a change of clothes, it feels like I'm seeing a new side of him.)

Kagari: "…"

Suddenly, our eyes met, and for some reason, Prince Kagari spread his arms and spun around on the spot.

Kagari: "Since you were staring, I’ll give you a little show, Curious Princess."

Emma: "Um… thank you?"

(Actually, I was just admiring how he looks in that outfit, but it's kind of embarrassing to say it out loud.)

Kagari: "So, were you here under the cherry blossoms, enjoying a quiet little flower viewing by yourself?”

Emma: "Yes. I was also practicing cat’s cradle a little while ago."

Kagari: "Cat’s cradle?"

I picked up the looped red string resting on my lap.

Emma: "Your aide, Shigure, taught me how to do it. He said I might get bored just looking at the flowers."

Emma: "He even gave me this string."

Kagari: "…Really."

Kagari: "That string is usually used to tie up packages at a confectionery shop. Looks like he gave you some trash."

Emma: "Tra–"

Kagari: "Don’t take it too seriously; I was half-joking. I often use that string for cat’s cradle myself too."

(I think his words might be true though… I DID notice that Shigure had some snacks with him.)

Kagari: "How many patterns have you learned?"

Emma: "Three! May I show you?"

Kagari: "Sure, go ahead."

He sat down in front of me with his legs crossed the unexpected closeness making me stiffen.

Prince Kagari sometimes has an odd sense of personal space.

Trying to stay calm, I spread the string, recalling the steps as I began to create each shape.

Emma: "The first one is... a cradle!"

Kagari: "A cradle, huh."

Emma: "Next... this is a rice field!"

Kagari: "A rice field."

Emma: “And now… the jewel… um, let me see...”

Kagari: "…Your pinkies."

Emma: “Oh, right! Hook the pinkies… release the thumbs… and it’s a jewel!”

Kagari: “You pass.”

Kagari: "But you look tired Princess, even though you’re just playing cat’s cradle."

Emma: “I don’t usually use my fingers this much, so it’s actually a good workout.”

Kagari: “They say cat’s cradle is a great exercise for both the fingers and the mind.”

Kagari: “Your movements are still a bit clumsy, but you did well for your first time.”

Kagari: “The next trick after the jewel is the drum. Want to give it a try?”

Emma: “I’d love to!”

When I nodded, Prince Kagari touched my hands and began to move his fingers slowly, making it easy for me to follow along.

Kagari: "Keep the shape as it is. First, move only your thumbs and slip them into the gap under your pinkies."

Emma: "…Okay."

(Oh… since he's not wearing his usual outfit, he's also not wearing gloves today.)

His hands, normally hidden by gloves, were surprisingly large, easily enveloping mine. They were firm, bony, and warm—enough to make me fully aware of him as a man, causing heat to rise to my cheeks.

Emma: “...There! I did the drum!”

As Prince Kagari released my hands, I felt a strange, fleeting sadness—though it was probably just my imagination.

Kagari: "Are you feeling more tired than before, Princess?"

Emma: "It's probably because it was my first time trying the drum."

Emma: "Cat’s cradle is really fun. It helps improve my dexterity, and seems like a good way to sharpen my concentration."

Emma: “I heard that most of the children in Kougyoku know how to play cat’s cradle. Did you play it a lot too, Prince Kagari?”

Kagari: “...Yeah. My brother taught me.”

His gaze suddenly shifted toward the drum made of red string. His emerald-green eyes seemed to waver slightly, as if reminiscing about something.

(Kougyoku’s territory is roughly divided into three factions.)

(Prince Kagari and his brother belonged to different factions, if I remember correctly.)

(I don’t know how things are between them now, but I wonder if they used to be close brothers in the past.)

Kagari: “Princess, did you know that cat’s cradle can be played with two people?”

Emma: “Yes, I played together with Shigure earlier.”

Kagari: “...Is that so?”

Emma: (...?)

Kagari: “What about with me?”

(Does he want to play?)

Emma: “If you’re willing, I’d love to.”

Kagari: “Let’s do it.”

(So he DID want to play.)

(I understand the feeling, though. Childhood games can make you feel so nostalgic when you play them again.)

Seeing how much Prince Kagari enjoying cat’s cradle made me smile. We returned the string to a loop, and I created a suspension bridge, while Prince Kagari deftly made a rice field. Then I created a river, he made a boat, and as we continued to take turns—

(What… is this?)

Kagari: “What’s wrong, Princess? Did you forget the next step?”

Emma: “I’m sorry, I thought the next pattern would be the jewel, but the shape looks different, so I don’t know how to continue…"

(It looks like it could be a rice field or a net, but it’s slightly different. I’ve never seen this shape before.)

Kagari: “If you don’t know, that’s fine. First, pinch the ends of the string.”

Emma: “Got it.”

Kagari: “Now, insert your hands into the gap in the middle, up to your wrists.”

Emma: “Alright, done.”

Kagari: “Next, I’ll pull the string from one hand and use the other to tug the string hooked around your middle finger.”

Kagari: “That way, both of your hands will be tied together.”

Emma: “Wow! It really worked!”

(...Wait--)

I never expected to go from playing cat’s cradle to being tied up like a captive.

Prince Kagari hooked his finger around the string and gently pulled me closer.

Kagari: “If you let your guard down too much in front of a man, you’ll find yourself bound and helpless in an instant. Remember that.”

Emma: "Sure… but I only let my guard down because it's you, Prince Kagari. I don't do this with anyone else."

Kagari: "…I see. Only with me, huh?"

Kagari: "Good, then. Don’t forget that feeling in the future."

(Did his mood just improve a little? His expression didn’t change, so maybe it's just my imagination.)

Emma: "So, how do I get out of this…?"

Kagari: "Think of it as practice for the future and try untying it yourself. It’s not tied too tightly."

(I’ll give it a try, but…. I hope I never need this skill in the future.)

Thankfully, the knot wasn’t too tight, and under Prince Kagari’s watchful eye, I managed to untie it. He clapped his hands in applause, though I wasn’t sure if I should be happy about it.

(Was I really that careless…?)

But I didn’t want to end things just like that—

Emma: "Prince Kagari, can we play one more time?"

Kagari: "Sure."

We returned to making the suspension bridge, then the rice field, river, and boat, alternating turns with the string—

Seizing the moment, I tied Prince Kagari’s hands together with the string. My tying was a bit of a mess, but it seemed tight enough that it would take a while to untangle.

Kagari: "…"

Emma: "Ha! That was payback for earlier."

Emma: "Now, you’ll have to untie yourself—whoa!?"

Kagari: "Untie myself… What? I didn’t quite catch that. Could you say that again?"

(He’s… so close!)

With his bound hands, he brought them behind my head and pulled me closer to him. The distance between us made it hard to even breathe, and my heart pounded furiously.

(Prince Kagari … seems to be enjoying this. Even more than when we were playing cat’s cradle.)

His green eyes, tinged with joy and a trace of heat, were so captivating that I couldn’t look away, despite wanting to escape. Whenever I moved, his grip tightened, further restricting my freedom.

Kagari: "Come on, if you don’t say it, we’ll stay like this forever. I don’t mind that, though."

Emma: "I’m sorry! I got carried away. I’ll treat you to as many dorayaki as you want, so please let me go."

Kagari: "Denied. You don’t have enough money for that."

As our foreheads lightly touched, my heart practically leaped out of my chest. If anyone saw us like this, they would definitely get the wrong idea.

Kagari: "Your so flustered just from our faces being close. It’s cute, Princess."

Emma: "P-Please stop teasing me."

Kagari: "I’m not teasing you."

Kagari: "…But I was a little jealous."

Even though I kept trying to escape, he never let me go, and—

This is my first request so here we go! Can I get head cannons on what it’d be like to be in an OT3 relationship with both Shigure AND Akito in Fruits Basket? Like, how they met, how they established a relationship and how the tumultuous relationship evolved during the course of the anime’s plot? I know it’s gonna be SOO toxic, especially with the crap Shigure pulls, Akito being Akito, and the constant back and forth between the two, being the middle piece in their game is gonna be such a pain emotionally, physically, psychologically, any way you can think of. Also the s/o is gender neutral.

There have been some changes to the original plot of the manga to adjust this storyline better. Also, this is quite toxic but that should come to no surprise. I'm also obviously not going to remember some of the stuff that happened in the Anime so this is a shortened version.

Falling in love with the same darling

🐕​⚫​From a very young age on, you have been working as a maid in the Sohma estate with your main tasks always involving catering to Akito's needs. Akira assigned you specifically for this job as you were only 2 years older than her and he wanted her to have someone around her age to befriend. Even years later you remember how you were brought to Akira and Akito, the little girl hiding behind her father's back as you walked in. Akira had been a gentle and kind but also terribly gullible man from the few memories that you have but his love for Akito had been there, even if perhaps a tad bit misguided as she was the God of the family. He beckoned Akito to step forward as he introduced you to her, telling her that from this day on you would be her new friend. You were too young back then to understand everything, otherwise you would have stopped him as he told Akito that you'd always stay with her. When the little girl, although back then you thought she was a boy, asked you with big eyes if what her father had just said was true, you didn't think about it. You only nodded enthusiastically and even if she had still seemed a tad bit apprehensive, you saw the hopeful gleam in her eyes.

🐕​⚫​Soon after being assigned to Akito who quickly latched on to you, you met Shigure. He has always been rather weird, even when he was still young. Both of you did not get along well initially, although that was mainly his fault. His feelings for Akito had already blossomed back then and her clear attachment to you elicited jealousy. Back then you had still harbored the mindset that it was your job to be Akito's best friend so you had also felt a childish envy as you saw how close both of them were. You had always been whenever Akito asked any of the Zodiac signs who had already been around at that time for any affection and you'd only realise years later why she had always done that. You had felt entitled of her and her friendship, threatened in your position and in return you grew clingy and tried everything to please her, openly expressing your jealousy. Your behavior was like fuel to flames as she desperately absorbed every affection you gave her and clung as a result only tighter to you. Her father was immensely pleased by this development, ignoring how unhealthy it already was back then and only told Akito that even those who weren't Zodiac signs would love her.

🐕​⚫​The rift between Shigure and you only grew as time passed by, both of you fighting for Akito's attention and love. And it made Akito happy. In fact whenever the words of her mother would get to her, she knew that she always had the both of you and in her growing desperation sometimes she even caused such arguments between the two of you on purpose simply to watch and realise that her mother was wrong. She was loved, even from those who were not part of the Zodiacs and sometimes she couldn't help but have the two of you argue in front of her mother as she gave her a defiant glare to show her that she was wrong. You remember the boiling jealousy when one day Akito showed you proudly the camellia that Shigure had fetched her and told you how he had confessed his love to her, her dark eyes staring at you as she wanted, needed, to see your reaction to it all. You were miffed the entire day about it and the very next moment you returned with a bouquet of flowers yourself and made sure to wait until Shigure was accompanying both of you before you handed all of the flowers to her and promised to always stay by her side. You sealed your fate on that day.

🐕​⚫​When Akira passed away due to his illness, you were there with Akito in his last moments. You weren't supposed to but Akito had demanded you to be there with her, her hand clutching yours tightly. It had made her father happy too to see both of you being so attached to each other and in his last moments he had made you promise that you'd always stay with his child and had reminded Akito one last time of her special existence that would make everyone love her. You'd been her shoulder to cry on when both of you were left alone, the tears only falling when she was only in your company. She had clutched the material of your yukata as she had begged you to not leave her like her father had just done and you had promised her once again that you would stay with her until the very end. Then Ren stormed in, furious that she hadn't been informed of Akira's death and had lashed out at Akito, screaming that she was unwanted and that everyone would leave her eventually. You can still clearly remember how you yelled back at her mother and insulted her, only fueling her hysteria. You still remember how your teeth sank into the flesh of her hand when she struck you, refusing to let go.

🐕​⚫​There were screams, the ones of ther maids but above all Akito's own hysterical screams all of a sudden when Ren tried to hurt you and you only scratched and bit her more until you could taste blood whilst your own nose was weeping with your own. It took more than a handful of other maids to separate the two of you as Ren was escorted away, still cursing at you. Akito was in that moment instantly by your side, crying and yelling as she screamed at the other maids to cater to your injuries even whilst you reassured her that you were fine. You were adviced to stay in bed for the rest of the day and Akito refused to leave your side the entire time. She sat there with you, ate her meals with you and even drew and played board games with you. You ended up with scratches all over your arms and your face, bruises and swollen lips from Ren but it made you almost proud when you heard that you had done some damage on her too. You found Akito often staring at your face, more often than she had done before, and when you asked her if she was sad about your injuries, she said something that caught you off-guard. That she felt happy. Happy because you had gotten so aggressive and hurt for her.

🐕​⚫​Her mind had been made up forever after that. She only focused on you from that day on. Whilst she was still possessive of other Zodiac signs, they became a second priority as you were from that day on her main focus. You were always kept by her side for the entire day and she even demanded you to sleep in the same room as her. Seldom did you see her mother but when you did, Akito almost appeared to show you off, even if her grip on you tightened. Ren could only glare at you silently as the physical wounds may have healed with time but her ego had been forever damaged by you. One time she approached you with a dangerous glimmer in her eyes but Akito was the one who stopped her this time. It was the first time that you really noticed how damaged Akito had become as she threatened her own mother and gloated gleefully in front of her how she had been wrong and that you loved her even whilst not being a Zodiac member as she pulled you closer to her side. Even when Shigure came over, her focus was always on you and whilst the smile on his face always stayed, you could tell from his eyes just how much you started grating his nerves.

🐕​⚫​Akito deemed you to be the person most important to her and that was something that didn't sit right with the young man. He wanted Akito for himself but you were in the way. He needed you to betray her and break her heart. If he could make Akito hate you, he could take your place. In hindsight it was truly frightening just how far Shigure had always been willing to go for Akito but you had luckily always been rather wary of him. So when he suddenly tried to befriend you, you were cautious and careful. He needed to find some weak link he could abuse, something to turn Akito against you. Unfortunately that was hard as Akito had been all you had known your life and vice versa. But perhaps that was how he could approach it. You had rarely left the Sohma estate, never had been friends with other people. Weren't you curious though? Slowly he tried to put ideas in her head, trying to fuel your curiosity to get you away from Akito. And it worked. You had grown a bit older though and even if you still treasured Akito, a feeling of loneliness had gotten to you as your freedom had been restricted to only revolve around her. When Yuki was introduced to Akito, he saw finally a good chance.

🐕​⚫​As Akito got to know Yuki better, he tempted you to go outside and leave her side more often. Shigure convinced you to even leave the estate with him as he introduced you to new people and encouraged you to get to know them better. It was strange yet also exciting to meet other children in your age range who weren't Akito and you befriended them rather quickly. You even told Akito about them excitedly, oblivious to the way she fidgeted with her fingers and bawled her hands into fists as your joy was like a stab to her heart. You wanted her to meet them yet the moment those words left your lips, she rejected your offer harshly. Upon noticing your startled expression, she quickly added that it wouldn't be wise for her to leave the Sohma estate. Her heart grew sick though as she finally learned why you hadn't spent as much time with her as you used to and when she approached Shigure in search for comfort, he used her growing heartbreak as he told her that he had seen how happy you were with your new friends. She cried in his arms, wondering what had happened as you had always been so close with her. You loved her. You had to love her.

🐕​⚫​Torments from her mother increased when she asked Akito where you were whenever she saw her, her taunts only serving to slowly break Akito further. Her temper got considerably worse and Yuki, the one who spent most time with her as she tried to take you off of her mind, got the worst of it even when she apologised afterwards to him. A part of Akito wanted to tell you desperately about it yet she didn't because she wanted you to figure it out yourself. You knew her best afterwards. So why didn't you notice how she felt? When Kureno's curse suddenly broke and Akito lost a bond that defined her existence, she was finally pushed over the edge. She feared that everyone's curse would break and that you, the one who wasn't bound to her in any way, would be the first one to leave. Shigure's own words only poisoned her young mind further. The next time she saw you, she dragged you to her room with a surprisingly tight grip on your wrist and forced you to stay there with her. There she then broke, yelling and sobbing as she grabbed your face and forced you to look at her. You had betrayed her! You had broken your promise! You promised to always stay by her side!

🐕​⚫​Never again were you allowed to go outside again after that. Akito has kept you by her side ever since that day as Shigure's plan only backfired as she has grown incredibly possessive of you. The other Zodiac signs are the only people you still see sometimes, although Akito makes sure to even reduce the contact you have with them. The bitterness of you having dared to make other friends when you always had her has festered inside of her and has never allowed her to let you get close to others. Kureno and Shigure are the ones you tend to see the most, although even then you are never left alone by her. There has been tension between Shigure and Akito for a while now too though and that is mainly because you have told her that it was Shigure who introduced you to your former friends back then. She suspects that he has tried to take you away from her and the glares and sharp words she has given him ever since are a telltale sign of her growing distrust. Shigure remains immune to her hostility though as something has seemed to change. He has always focused way too much on you as he used to despise you for stealing Akito. Hatred and love however, are two sides of the same coin.

🐕​⚫​He has grown an interest in you over the last few years and it truly doesn't do anything to better the situation. He flirts with you in front of Akito, the sight of her being possessive and jealous over you something he seems to enjoy as he doesn't mind all the insults and yells she gives him the moment she pulls you closer to your side. Both of the people he finds himself obsessed with are already basically attached to the hip and he likes seeing that. Shigure is already seeing it through that no one dares to to take Akito nor you away from him and one of the reasons why Akito still allows his presence so close to yours is because he is a mole. If he even suspects in the slightest that someone is interested in you, Akito is always the first to find out. Most of the time she sees it through herself to send such a person to her mansion and remind them violently that you belong to only her. In rare cases where the person in picture is someone who isn't part of the Sohma estate, Shigure promises her to ensure that they learn their lesson. After all you belong to Akito.

🐕​⚫​Whilst Akito uses violence, intimidation and emotional guilt-tripping to force you to stay with her, Shigure leans much more in the manipulative spectrum of things. Whilst he has yet to claim both Akito and you for himself, he knows that it would be the best scenario if he sees it through that you stay by Akito's side. Not only because Akito will keep you nice and isolated but because he can use both of you against each other to draw out advantages for himself. He can have Akito running to him and begging him for comfort and help whenever he manipulates things enough to give her easily paranoid mind the impression that you think about leaving her for someone else and can be your pillar of comfort when Akito's antics threaten to break you once again. Your heart feels like it is constantly bruised and beaten yet attachment and pity are cursed chains that keeps you by Akito's side. As violent and terrible as she is, she still has you and she thinks often that she really only has you. Shigure murmurs those words into your ears when you are hidden in his arms, abusing your pity to convince you to return to Akito which in return does earn him Akito's grudgingly gratitude.

🐕​⚫​Then the singular worst thing happens to you and it changes things for all three of you. First it happens with Akito who has grown into a woman who has to pretend like she is a man. She has needs, needs that need to be satiated but she only wants one person to cater to her most private needs. She wants you to take care of her. You've always taken care of her after all. She is needy and desperate for sexual affection but at the same time remains highly demanding as she forces the sexual relationship on you and thus reveals to you that she is a woman, a secret she has kept from you for years but now doesn't care to keep it hidden from you anymore. It messes with your mind as you are unable to deny her requests, the shackles of guilt and fear forever around your heart from that day on. You confide in the only person you see besides Akito and it only leads to your second downfall as you entrust Shigure with the news. He soothes you, coaxes the tears out of your eyes whilst comforting you yet there is a jealous gleam in his eyes. It truly is rather disgusting of him to feel that way, especially since he should be relieved that you lost your virginity to Akito and she hers to you.

🐕​⚫​His mind works in dark and twisted ways though as he feels like he has been robbed of something he would have loved to claim for himself. He can't help but wonder from that day on how you would look beneath him and soon his desire spurts him on to do something perhaps even more terrible. On a particular night where you are especially vulnerable he convinces you to have a few drinks with him as he keeps on filling your glass whilst you babble about your feelings and emotions until you are completely drunk. You only remember faintly sweet words coaxing you to his room, hands undressing you and lips traveling across your body and dark eyes expressing his weird co-existence of envy and pleasure that it was Akito who claimed your body first. You are awoken the next day by other maids who knock against the door of his house and inform the both of you that Akito has demanded for both of you to appear. Your heart drops as you look with panic in your eyes at Shigure who only gives you a grin as if he doesn't care about what he has done to you. Akito is weirdly silent at first when both of you arrive but the tension threatens to suffocate you.

🐕​⚫​She slowly approaches you, her eyes roaming over your body. The moment she demands you to kneel, your body reacts instinctively as you kneel down and look with fearful eyes at her. Hands caress your hair for a few seconds before she grabs a fistful of it and yanks your head up, screaming at you. Tears and snot drip down your face as she insults you, shames you and reminds you that your only worth is serving her. The one task you were assigned to yet have failed miserably. Your eyes silently beg Shigure to help you as he has gotten you into this mess yet he just idly watches and you feel sick to your stomach when you realise that he won't help you. You are thrown around, slapped across the face and yelled at for minutes before he finally speaks up and carefully advises that Akito should take it easier on you since you are on the verge of a panic attack. That is when she snaps her attention to him and you can only watch through sobs and tears as he receives the same treatment. Your throat feels like it is closing, you feel like you can't breathe and your whole body starts trembling uncontrollably as you witness how she banishes him from the Sohma estate.

🐕​⚫​Things are never the same again. It all has broken with no chance to fix the damage that has been inflicted. A small part of you still loves Akito but everything has been tarnished and stained by all-consuming fear. You flinch when she tries to touch you, your mind letting you see the maniacal gleam in her eyes on the day she found out that you had slept with Shigure and are constantly on edge as you have to endure every single day with her. There is no thing called privacy anymore as she has deemed you as someone she can't trust anymore. You sleep in the same room as her from now on, often she demands you to share even the same bed with her, and even showers are taken together. She doesn't take well to the fear you feel for her. She either reacts violently, desperately or just leaves you whilst muttering insults. Often it is all three in a random order. Emotionally you are already broken but even physically Akito tends to get so blinded with rage that she strikes you or throws something after you only to yell for her maids the next moment when she realises what she has done. Sometimes she tries to clean and bandage your wounds herself, her touches rough and her hands trembling slightly.

🐕​⚫​Most of the time you spend just silently accompanying you as you start changing. You don't care anymore about others and don't try to speak up for them. When Kana and Hatori ask Akito for her allowance for both of them to marry, you don't interfere when she flips out and hurts Hatori. Instead you wait for her to calm down herself, grasping her hand the moment she returns to your side and demands for your support and affection. You know by now how it goes. After every outburst of hers she will drag you to her room where you spend an hour or two giving her affection and helping her to calm down before she regains her composure again. You seek Hatori out later and apologise to him though, although he doesn't hold it against you. You haven't seen Shigure since he was banished but you have overheard some maids mentioning that he has sent you letters. Letters, which never made it past Akito who ripped all of them apart but you know that he would be smart enough to know that and probably only sends them to rile her up. You'll never forgive Shigure though for using your drunken state against you and for messing with your vulerability like this.

🐕​⚫​Your heart is in your throat when Shigure one day appears again and gives you a wave as if he has done nothing wrong. He's here to ask Akito if a girl named Tohru could live with them and to your surprise Akito agrees to it. Her grip on you is tight as she glares at Shigure throughout the entire conversation as his eyes never leave your form, almost relishing in the way cold sweat appears on your skin as you are once again exposed to being in the same room as both of them. He tells you with a smile that doesn't look sincere to you that you should visit them and meet Tohru since she is such a lovely girl. Akito has started shaking next to you and you can only clutch her hands tighter in silent hopes that she'll keep it in as she growls at him to leave now. A last warning and for a few dangerous seconds it looks like he considers making her snap before he seems to decide for the better and bids both of you goodbye, reminding you one last time of his offer. It is yet another bait he has been given as Shigure silently counts on the fact that Tohru's presence might help him to get closer to both Akito and you again, even if he has to kindle Akito's doubt and jealousy.

🐕​⚫​Akito brings her with you when she visits Tohru's school to meet the girl herself and brings you along. You keep your gaze low for the most part of the meeting as you know better than to give Akito any reason to be triggered. That is at least until the girl calls you out herself, her voice concerned and her eyes sincere as she asks you if you're feeling well. Kindness. Real kindness that almost has you tearing up before you feel Akito's hand grasping your wrist and squeezing it dangerously as she tilts her head and tells Tohru that everything is fine with you, forcing you to repeat her words as her grip on your wrist is a dangerous reminder. You're rather surprised when you see Yuki again and he shares the sentiment as he tries to rescue her before she starts taunting him. The moment Tohru pushes Akito away to stop her verbal torment though, you instinctively reach out to catch her, although Tohru was gentle when pushing her. Akito is rather pleased by your gesture as she tells you later in the car when you are sandwiched between Shigure and her, your heart racing dangerously in your chest as the two people who have hurt you the most are both sitting next to you yet you con only swallow your tears.

🐕​⚫​When the Sohmas enjoy their vacation during the summer, Shigure makes another move yet again as he convinces Akito to join them. Kureno and you accompany her. You do nothing as she torments the other Sohmas because you know that you would only make things worse for yourself and them. The entire time that Akito and you spend there, Shigure subtly tries to manage to get you for himself. He offers to show you around the house he's staying in and to give you a brief tour of the area. Akito denies you everything though unless she is with you and if no one else is around. It is quite obvious that she doesn't want Shigure and you to be left alone as she fears that both of you would betray her once again. Realising that, he still remains by your side like a leech as he decides to use the chance to the best of his abilities. You can't help but think that he's provoking Akito on purpose though when he asks how the both of you have been doing and aren't allowed to say anything as Akito answers all questions for you or simply forces you to produce the answer you know will please her. Shortly before both of you have to leave again, she meets Tohru and declares her status to her.

🐕​⚫​For some reason Shigure worms his way back inside the Sohma estate despite having been banned. The way he looks at you makes his skin crawl and his words, even if carefully veiled to hide their intentions, hit their target as he forces you out of your numb shell and gets you to express some emotions around him despite your attempts to ignore him. He doesn't really mind if you hate him. He just won't allow you to ignore and forget about him and if he has to torment you to do that, he will gladly do so. Occasionally he brings Akito and you some presents though, although his intentions are unclear. You think you fear him more than Akito in such moments where he hands you a bouquet of flowers because you have known Akito long enough to predict her somewhat even despite her impulsive temper. Shigure on the other hand has always shrouded himself in mystery and has never made his intentions obvious. You feel like you're walking on eggshells when he is around and the man knows about your feelings. He can't say that he hates it though as he finds odd enjoyment to see you so skittish around him. At least it means that he has an impact on your thoughts after all.

🐕​⚫​Slowly the curse of every member breaks though and the more it happens, the more do you find Akito growing more unstable. She grows even more hysterical until you feel like you can't breathe in her presence anymore. She runs away after having stabbed Kureno in the back as she reaches the peak of her instability and you do not follow her as you instead call an ambulance. You instead wait for her as you don't dare to leave the estate without her specific order. You aren't overly familiar with the city outside either as you have been very sheltered and would probably get lost outside if you were to run after her. It's Shigure who brings her back and the moment she sees you, she nearly causes you to topple when she throws herself at you, sobbing into your chest. Shigure is ushered away by the other maids as you find yourself in the familiar position of comforting her again. Only that this time is different. She confesses to you what had occured after she had run away, about Tohru and how she fell down the cliff before she asks you a question that makes your heart stop. Do you hate her for everything she has done?

🐕​⚫​You are unable to give her an answer to that question and expect her to lash out but that doesn't happen. Instead she almost seems to reflect on herself when she notes your inability to give her an answer. She requests of you if you'd like to come with her when visiting Tohru, afraid and unused to go anywhere without you yet not directly forcing you. Ultimately you decide to come with her as both of you visit Tohru who offers her friendship to the both of you and after that both of you visit Kureno who forgives her when she apologises to him. She seems to try to better herself but you know that it must be hard for her. Both of you have one way or another grown dependent on each other as she doesn't really know what to do without you and you essentially feel the same. She feels uneasy and anxious if she doesn't have you within her sight and you don't know what to do with your life either if you don't have her with you for a certain period of time. That is when Shigure finally decides to step back. Initial tension soon leads to both of them confessing their feelings for each other which then finally leads Shigure back to both people he has been wanting for essentially his entire life.

🐕​⚫​Akito isn't used to sharing and even if she does her best to mend her ways, old habits die hardly. She struggles to split your time, time she has been having years for herself. Especially since you do not want to be left alone with Shigure as the encounter from years ago is still very fresh in your mind and you prefer the devil you know over the devil you don't. Shigure doesn't respect your boundaries though as he constantly invades your privacy and follows you around. He has been waiting years for the moment where Akito would finally let him back and he plans to use every single chance to be with the both of you. It isn't like he doesn't know that he has traumatised both you and Akito but this is his own way of expressing his twisted feelings for you. He corners you, trails behind you and uses every chance to have a few moments alone with you. One time you snap at him and ask him through tears if he has no shame or guilt for what he has done. He confesses to you in that moment that he is fully aware of his wrongdoings and admits to being a terrible person but also tells you that he doesn't really regret anything he has done. It is a horrifying revelation that has your stomach churning.

🐕​⚫​At the same time Shigure clarifies though that he doesn't expect you to forgive him for what he has done to you and Akito. Knowing that both of you are now his is enough for him. Things don't really get better for you even if Akito is now attempting to be a better person. She has allowed Shigure back in her life and since both of you are still learning to get rid of the mutual separation anxiety which will probably never fully go away, you also find yourself stuck with Shigure. With his desires finally fulfilled, he may be less inclined to be a fulltime jerk but Shigure is still a terrible person who fully embraces his wickedness. His goal now is to ensure that you do not leave him because you don't feel the same way Akito feels about him. You love Akito though and wouldn't leave her side, especially since he knows how much both of you struggle to exist without the other. And he uses that to his advantage as he doesn't plan to assist in getting rid of the separation anxiety both of you have. There's nothing wrong with remaining attached after all. So even if Akito works on herself to be a better person, the relationship remains strained and toxic, especially with Shigure who will step low to keep you by their side.

Let's Talk About Kyoru!

I shared a little while ago (in my first-ever analysis post!) that I don't really have a lot in common with Tohru or Kyo, and I didn't really "get" them or their relationship right away. Today, someone asked on Reddit "What are your personal thoughts on Kyou x Tohru?" and I wrote out a long comment explaining how I grew to love them. So, here's an expanded and edited version of that comment, edited for Tumblr!

I loved both Tohru and Kyo as characters from the start. How could I not? Kyo is an endlessly meme-able, over-the-top tsundere cat-boy with a heart of gold, and Tohru is a lovable, overly-giving people-pleaser who's also a total space cadet prone to some very funny mishaps (that are maybe a little less funny once you understand her character).

What I didn't see at first was how their romantic relationship was an essential part of both Tohru's and Kyo's character development. Their arcs couldn't really have ended any other way, with how Takaya-sensei set them up.

See, Tohru begins the series in denial about the reality of her mother's death and unable to ask for or accept help, even from those closest to her, and even when people offer their help or support up front. She risks her own health and even her life to avoid burdening others, likewise risking herself to protect her memory of her mother (represented by the framed photo).

And Kyo begins the series convinced defeating Yuki will erase his past "sins," or alleviate his guilt from both Kyoko's and his mother's deaths. It's a Sisyphean task and he knows it, but he keeps at it because it's better than the alternative (actually dealing with his trauma) and possibly because he thinks he deserves to suffer defeat after defeat. He's in an extremely fragile place, having just returned from his trip to the mountains, and he truly believes he only hurts the people he loves.

I also think there's some small part of Kyo that's fighting to keep going, even from the start of the series. It's a twisted way to go about living, but he is still trying to live. He has the possibility of a life outside the Cat's House, and he's working his ass off to try and achieve it, even if it's most likely impossible. To me, that's not a character who's given up or accepted his fate.

Similarly, I think there's a small part of Tohru that knows she'll eventually need to accept that her mother is dead and make the decisions that are best for herself. It's harder to see this inner desire in Tohru than in Kyo, but I think it becomes clear when she chooses to stay with the Sohmas rather than return to her grandfather's house. She believed, at that point, that her grandfather was the only person left who knew and loved her mother, yet she knew she would be happier continuing to live with Kyo, Yuki, and Shigure. With the encouragement of her grandfather (and with Kyo and Yuki's heroic rescue mission), she moves forward on the path that will make her happiest.

It took me really digging deep and understanding each of their individual arcs to love them as a couple as much as I do now.

On first pass, it was obvious to me how much Tohru meant to Kyo, and the ways she directly countered his extremely low self-esteem and overwhelming guilt. However, I didn't really understand what Tohru liked about Kyo in a romantic sense.

I think this was probably due to my own anxiousness around men who yell, which strongly put me off of Kyo as a romantic lead. I also didn't like how he promised to protect Tohru again at the end, but that was again due to my own hangups. I have a strong dislike of being "protected" by my romantic partners (it feels patronizing and usually is done without asking or considering my own feelings about being protected). But I'll come back to that.

We know from the start that Tohru tends to reject attempts to care for her, or simply makes sure no one will be in a position to offer that care to her. She doesn't ask to stay with either of her best friends and she doesn't remain with her family during the renovations.

And Kyo is the only person who not only recognizes when Tohru's diminishing her own needs, but he's also the only person who consistently makes sure she has the support she needs, even if she initially refuses it. He tells her it's okay to get angry, asks her to vent her frustrations to him, and reminds her it's okay to be selfish.

I think with anyone else, she would have burned herself out and cut off most of her uncomfortable emotions. Kyo takes care of Tohru, and that's what she needs, because Tohru Honda has very different needs than I do (and that's okay!).

Also, Kyo doesn't yell nearly as much after the first season, but something I realized while writing my series on Kyo and Momiji's relationship is that most of Kyo's yelling is him trying to protect her and the others he cares for (like Momiji). He yelled because he was terrified of hurting her again, or of letting her get hurt through inaction. He'd yell at her when she did something that could've gotten her hurt, or he'd yell at others when they did something that could hurt her. That poor boy was carrying so much guilt over Kyoko's death, he made it his entire personality to try and protect Tohru, including from himself.

At Kyoko's grave, when he promised to protect Tohru for life, I initially read that as a step backwards for him. Wasn't that just a recipe for more guilt? After all, he couldn't possibly protect her from everything. But after some reflection, I think that was him finally internalizing the lesson from that last fight with Yuki: he was protecting her all along by making her smile and being there for her. That's Kyo recognizing that his presence is good for Tohru, and it's a huge shift in how he sees himself and his own self-worth.

So that's really why Kyo and Tohru are so perfect together. Kyo needed someone to help him see his own worth, and Tohru did that simply by needing him. Meanwhile, Tohru needed to prioritize her own needs and happiness, and she did that by admitting how much she needed Kyo. It's a loop that feeds back into itself. The more they care for each other, the more they overcome their initial mistaken beliefs about themselves.

I once shared in response to an ask that I believe Tohru needed Kyo even more than he needed her. Thinking of how badly she was suffering during the hospital arc, when she thought he'd rejected her, and how much she repressed her heartbreak during that time, I think it would've destroyed her if he hadn't decided to try and move forward with her. It would've taken a long, long time before she would've been able to open up to anyone like that again, and she may not have been able to ever again, given how hard it was for her to admit her feelings for Kyo in the first place.

So, I love them. Took me a while, but I'm fully aboard the Kyoru train now.

Kinktober 2022 Introduction

Introduction (You can also find this story on my AO3. I am uploading to Tumblr for the first time- bear with me)

This is my first time participating in a Kinktober event. This is also my first time writing a group of oneshots with almost no plot or multiple parts. And also, the first time writing outside of my comfort zone. 

However, despite all of these 'firsts', I hope that you find at least a few chapters that you guys like- as I didn't stick with one particular fandom group so there might be some characters you either don't know or don't like. 

I think I only covered five fandoms: Twilight, Marvel, Harry Potter, TVD/TO, and Fruits Basket (anime). I was thinking of maybe doing Black Butler too, but I wanted to do two of each person (although I only did one Kingsley and one Shigure) so I didn't have room. However, I do plan on doing kinktober every year for. . . forever? So maybe I'll do Black Butler next year. 

Keep in mind that as I will be doing another one next year, you can request at the end of this book favorite characters or a character you might like to see with a certain kink. Preferably the characters already used in this one (Black Butler I only will do Sebastian and Claude). 

Also, I'm supposed to say 18+ only on this. As I was 17 when I was reading smut, I don't mind so much if you're like 16 or 17 reading this. I would prefer that you be 18 at least however. He would give you a tired glare when you appear before him and tug at his sleeve. Even though you knew he knew what you were doing, you still did it. It was fun. To you, sure. To him, not so much as you had gotten Shigure & Ayame doing it.

"This is the 10th time you have done this, Y/N. While I'm not so bothered by you doing it, Shigure & Ayame have somehow gotten involved. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?"

"No of course not."

Kureno

You weren't expecting him to laugh and let you know that he knew of this prank. He would pull you in for a hug before mentioning that he was your only partner.

"Aw! Who told you? It was Shigure, wasn't it?"

"Actually it was Ayame."

It would be then that he notices your pout and rests his forehead against yours. "If you do it again, I'll make sure to hide, okay?"

Kyo

As usual, you catch him off guard and he rushes to find somewhere to hide. He hadn't really even thought about what you said. He would be hiding behind a chair in a kitchen when Yuki would see him and laugh at him.

"What are you laughing at?"

"Stupid cat. You're their boyfriend."

"Y/N!"

Momiji

Rather than rushing to find a hiding spot, he would worry that it was true. It couldn't be, right? By the look on your face, you seemed pretty serious. His heart would break a little. He needed to know.

"Do you really have another partner, Y/N?"

Saki (Hana)

Honestly? She'd humor you when you run over to her giggling. She just liked seeing you smile. And honestly, some of these things you came up with also got her to laugh.

"Oh no. Wherever should I hide?"

Shigure

He would smirk when you'd come up to him while he was writing. You really thought you could mess with him, Y/N? Well, he could play that game.

"Is that so? Just in time for them to see who really knows how to take care of you. Shall we head to the bedroom while we wait for them?"

Tohru

She would blink a few times before rushing to find a hiding spot. She didn't want to be seen by your- wait a minute. You got her again. She would laugh and tell you that she would surely get you back.

Yuki

He would have been sleeping when you come into the bedroom and whisper it to him. So in his sleepy state, he gets outs of bed and walks downstairs. He almost makes it outside the door when Shigure's loud and confused voice fully wakes him. Expect to be the victim of his death glare.

Post-canon, Akito-centric fic recs

I'm back with 2 more Akito-centric fic recs because over the weekend, I had an incredibly vivid dream about her and immediately had to hunt down some fanfic, lol.

These two one-shots are the kinds of stories that are so beautifully written, it almost hurts. The prose and imagery used in each is so evocative and moving, and I was in tears by the end of them both.

The first is the hope i want to share with you by ao3 user warsfeil (I tried looking them up on Tumblr and couldn't find a blog, but if you know them under a different username, please let me know, as I would obviously love to tag them for credit!).

It's a 13K story told through vignettes, and MY GOD. It's actually a bit difficult for me to convey how reading it made me feel, but I've included an excerpt below that I really loved. For context, this takes place after Akito has a dream in which she and Shigure are getting married, and Ren is present at the wedding, taunting her:

Akito can’t speak, for a moment: she grips onto Shigure so tightly he hisses, her nails leaving crescent moons of red welling in their wake, and she buries her face into his chest and squeezes her eyes shut like it will help subside the fear that permeates her entire body.

“I’m here,” Shigure says, which is the exact right thing to say but also the wrong thing entirely because it makes that fear bubble back up into Akito’s chest until she can’t help but cry. “What were you dreaming about?”

Akito can’t manage the words, at first, so she just stays there. It’s familiar, to cry against Shigure, to let him wrap his arms around her and stroke her hair until she sleeps -- but she doesn’t think she’ll be going back to sleep, this time.

“I don’t want a wedding,” Akito says, and she feels Shigure pause. “I don’t mean I don’t want to get married. I don’t -- I don’t want a wedding. I don’t want anything to go wrong”

“Then we won’t have one,” Shigure says, “but even if we did, I wouldn’t let her touch it.”

Akito knows, she knows the kind of things Shigure thinks about -- he talks about revenge with his fingers trailing around his sake cup, he reads records and papers and forms plans and ideas that Akito can barely follow, much less follow through on -- but something in her heart still aches at the idea of it all. Relief that he’d fight for her; sadness that he has to; guilt that she could ever think of allowing anyone to get revenge on her behalf when she’s left so many broken on her own.

The second is worthy, by @renywrites (Renegade_Reaper on ao3). I think I'd read anything you write, Reny!!

Just like their story 'I can barely breathe', worthy is so, so gorgeously written, and is a 6K fic exploring Akito's mental state after the curse break. Have you ever read prose so beautiful it's like a wallop to the face? Lol, that's how it felt reading this, in a good way!!

I've included an excerpt from it as well, and for context, this scene takes place in a Catholic church, during a trip that Shigure and Akito take to San Francisco. Note that Akito uses they/them pronouns:

Shigure leads them into the large building, into a huge room with stained glass windows depicting men and women and children. Akito was sure they meant something, but to them, it was just pretty imagery.

They’re left by the altar as Shigure goes to track someone down, likely to interrogate for his book. They watch him go, left to take in their surroundings and hope that nobody tried to speak to them. Akito looks up at the wall above the altar, and wonders if this religion had any truth to it, too.

They had been a god, once. They had been revered, feared, respected, obeyed. They had been worshipped, too. But being a god had been such a horribly lonely existence. Everything had been so dark, so crushing, so significant. The slightest act of defiance had sent them into a rage, and in their attempts to draw everyone closer, they had only succeeded in driving them away.

Akito lowers their dark gaze to the altar, and wonders if sacrifice had ever been necessary in this religion. They wonder if it would matter if they had sacrificed themself, bled out on a stone cold slab for their own glory.

Ler Hatsuharu, Kyo, and Shigure*

White Hatsuharu:

Tickle you in public discreetly so you jump a foot in the air and look behind your shoulder every 5 seconds only to still manage to catch you by surprise.

Make you squeal, bang your knee on a table at a family dinner, or snort and draw attention to yourself and revel in the blush that fills your cheeks as you scramble to brush off your reaction.

0 shame too omg. You think he won’t do it in public where people can full on see because it’s been teases of exposure before?

Oh sweetie. How naive.

Don’t recommend calling his bluff unless you want to get wrecked right in a public classroom while he apologizes for you “overreacting” and you weakly try to hit him, which does literally nothing.

“You didn’t really think this would work did you? If you wanted me to tickle you more all you had to do was ask, not be a brat.”

He sighs like it’s a big inconvenience as if there’s not a faint smirk tugging at the edges of his lips.

“Guess I’ll have to wreck you more now to keep a desperate brat like you sated a little longer. Now behave before I get annoyed.”

King of cheer up tickles too though. That man will make you laugh with deadpan humor first and then attack later while you’re watching tv and cuddle while he makes you laugh yourself hoarse.

Technique wise he varies. If he wants to startle you he’ll dig in to a place like your hips, sides or ribs but if he wants to draw out the tickling for a long term session he can easily start out slow and methodical and gradually ramp up the heat.

Black Hatsuharu:

Oh you poor lamb. Have fun being fed to the Wolf.

See, White Hatsuharu? He’s a saint compared to when he goes Black.

White Hatsuharu can pace himself, has certain things he doesn’t do so he doesn’t overwhelm you.

Black Hatsuharu uses that against you to make you regret angering White to the point he lost his inhibitions. There’s a reason I made his title “The Punisher” in my notes.

And it definitely has nothing to do with the fact I’ve had a Ler! Haru Lee! Reader Bully fantasy in my head for over a decade what-

So yeah! Black Hatsuharu really only comes out if you either ask for it, verbally or by being intensely bratty.

Or if you provoke another Ler/get tickled by someone else. He’s possessive af and wants to be the only Ler you have, or at least the most memorable.

Therefore, his methods are much meaner than Hatsuharu's. Unlike White Hatsuharu he only Ler’s you in private.

But he’s also much more ruthless.

White Hatsuharu doesn’t use tools or his mouth but Black Hatsuharu uses both liberally so good luck with that.

Will gleefully make you scream yourself hoarse.

Also bondage. And blindfolds. Yup. Sensory deprivation in general.

After all, can’t focus on anything but him when you can’t feel anything but what he’s doing to you right?

Oh yeah, smirks openly the whole time he Ler’s unlike White Hatsuharu's stoic expressions.

He’s also much more vocal, and raunchy as well(if you like twording that way obviously!)

Either way he’ll make fun of you for liking tickling, all while wrecking you to oblivion. Especially if you verbally have asked for him rather than acting up.

“Oh? Were you really so desperate to scream yourself hoarse that you called me?”

He’d snicked coolly as he pins you to the nearest bed or wall.

“You’re being an unusually good girl today. Perhaps my lessons are sinking in at last. …or maybe you’re just that much of a needy ticklish brat.”

Kyo Sohma:

Kyo’s…funny as a Ler.

He likes the control it offers and though he’ll never admit it he also loves the touching more than anything.

A healthy way to show affection that’s not too emotionally draining where he’s in control and can cope with his touch starvation? Of course he adores it.

But he can’t ask for it! That’d be a weakness and Kyo isn’t weak!

Tries to get Yuki and has succeeded one singular time when he went to move him aside and ended up brushing his side.

Yuki left him gasping when Kyo laughed and taunted him and though he still tries now and again Yuki will look at him deadpan, smirk a little and move to attack or wiggle his fingers at him and Kyo is gone before Yuki can so much as take a step towards him.

Kagura teases him about liking it a little too much and that makes him flustered so he tried Hatsuharu.

…He went Black once and he has never tried to Ler Hatsuharu since. He was still confused when he came to, only to find Kyo near tears and trembling from exhaustion.

So his next target was Momiji, and he found rather than forcing it that it came very easily. He had the excuse of the boy annoying him for a cover and Momiji, even if he knew Kyo liked tickling him, never said a word.

Kyo would never admit it but he was grateful.

He’s shyly begun expanding his horizons with the boys in class when he has the nerve to. Little things like poking their sides when they ruffle his hair and such or call him Kyo-Kyo.

When he lers, he tends to act bothered by their weakness. He’ll scoff and act annoyed and tell them he’s “toughening them up” or “helping them get stronger”.

“Can’t believe you’re this ticklish. Tsk. You know what a big handicap this would be in a fight?”

Speaking of; loves to playfight. Will let his tired Lee up, encouraging them to wrestle/spar/try to come at him and then scold them when they don’t have the right form or not enough strength behind their moves before taking them down gently and continuing to wreck.

This is typically the point he can’t hide that giddy schoolboy-like smile he has so try and steal a glance while laughing your head off if you can.

“Hah, wow. That was pitiful. Maybe we’ll just focus on your stamina for now huh? That’s clearly all you can handle at the moment. Let’s see how you do with another 10 minutes of tickling hm?”

Shigure Sohma:

So I dunno too much about Shigure given I’m not fully caught up in canon(I’ve only watched both anime's first seasons since I want to watch the new stuff with friends).

But I do know there’s more to him than meets the eye. He’s got this fascinating darkness inside him that pops out through snide comments that cut someone deep before he covers it.

I believe Hatsuharu referred to it as “being unable to see a wound without rubbing salt in it.”

So, as a person in general and a Ler I peg him as a closet sadist.

To build a little off my prior Fruits Basket headcanons!

In Kyo’s case it’s a more tsundere like affection for exerting control over others, and for Yuki it’s also a touch of closet sadism but he’s much less mature and experienced so he hasn’t grown into it yet or likely even realized he actually is a sadist in some shape or form. This is likely in part due to his trauma and not wanting to be like you-know-who, in any capacity.

Shigure however? Oh, he definitely has had the experience and time and uses it well. He’s explored every facet of himself throughout his years and recognizes his penchant for sadism as an unavoidable part of him.

What does this mean for him as a Ler?

It means his poor Lee is fucked of course. Especially if they know about his darker side. Even if they don’t if it’s been a while since he could let that sadism flag fly and his mask may slip a tad.

Shigure’s mask is cheerful, playful and light.

He’ll make jokes, take pictures or video of you laughing yourself silly or blushing and send it to your friends.

Stupid, fun stuff like that.

Which is why his more cruel side is often such a shock.

But in a dark mood he’s eerily professional.

First off, Shigure is a grown adult at 26, even at the start of the series, and the people his dark side would show for would also be of age.

It’s a big departure from our other babies so I just wanted to clarify.

Let’s just say I wouldn’t be surprised if Shigure had a raging tickle kink.

I’m keeping this sfw but yeah. Something to keep in mind.

In any case, he’s a big anticipation guy. I could definitely see him using blindfolds and silk bondage.

Proceeds to let you stew in anticipation while he works on a new chapter for his novel; maybe has one of those motion activated fans that’ll blow air and listen to you squeal in expectant surprise just for fun.

Once he finally does touch you he may as well not be, initially, his touch is so light. You can barely feel it. He doesn’t truly start till you’re near crying and begging for him to tickle you.

Lives for the intoxicating sense of control and relishes in utilizing it over you. Will absolutely degrade while he lers.

Unlike Hatsuharu; doesn’t make fun of you for liking it we’re way past that if he’s made you beg for it, oh no.

He makes fun of you for begging him for a break, or not to tickle you somewhere.

“Ah, not here you said? But your hips make you squeal so loud for me, and that’s to say nothing of those endearingly pathetic bucks you’re doing in hopes of dislodging me.”

“Come now, a break? It’s only been an hour, my sweet. Surely you’re stronger than that? If not, you have a safe word. Use it if you feel so inclined. Otherwise; keep that pretty mouth of yours shut until I give you permission to do anything but laugh for me. Understood?”

God he’s such an asshole, he’s lucky you love him enough to put up with all his shit honestly.

I find Shigure Miyabi to be incredibly fascinating

girl made her wish to stop her mother from falling into pyramid schemes, only to go around and immediately join a pyramid scheme herself in the wings of the magius, get repeatedly exploited by the Magius (just like her mom did), possibly even get brainwashed since it's implied that Shigure's main loyalty is with the Magius themselves and feathers whose loyalty was to the magius got hit with the rumor of the receiver pendant, frequently lose to the main cast (even in the anime since we see yachiyo choking her for information on magius's base)

even after founding neo magius she still gets attacked, demolished, used by promised blood, responsible for assisting in the kidnapping of a child, failed in their plan to get the magius back on their side which lead to the group initially falling apart, and even then she still gets used by himena for various plots like getting a witch from alina and trying to convince tokime clan (and also being forced to continuously speak in public about magius until himena got back from hanging out with sasha when they tried to brainwash tokime- there's a lot of brainwashing in this series)

Shigure's main character trait is that she sucks and her only solace in this is that due to magical girl supremacy and her friend who she wallows in misery with. We also know the supremacy is really just a cover to wanting to be accepted by people, so like. girl's probably dealing a lot just from her typical loner nature (she probably has some kind of depression and or anxiety) and that's not even including the fact she has to fight monsters in her spare time

Hi everyone, my name is Bunni/Bun, I'm 25 and go by She/They pronouns! I've been roleplaying and writing fanfics for a little over a decade and decided it's finally time to create a blog. Typically when roleplaying i prefer to write in third person and write anywhere between three/four paragraphs depending on how inspired i am at the moment! My starter posts are way longer as it is the very first post for the roleplay however please don't feel inclined to have to follow my lead or be intimidated; everyone writes at their own comfort level. When it comes to roleplaying i play as a select few of canon characters I'm hyper fixated on at the moment or just a original character; my original characters however nine times out of ten are male so please keep that in mind I'm also okay with doubling up as long as everything is fair and even. As for plotting i do have some ideas in mind i would love to try out although I'm always willing to hear out what plots/ideas you might have and maybe we can figure something out together. In regards to the actual roleplaying aspect i do prefer to write on discord solely because A) i don't always get tumblr notifications for some odd reason and B) I'm super OCD and like to have everything organized. Though, if by some odd chance you simply can't roleplay on discord ill try my hardest to make the exception on here but like i said, replies may be delayed due to lack of notifications.
