這是我的近年所讀的架空重生小說中較好的一本。上星期剛讀完，把我看哭了好幾次。

文筆：5/5

故事情節：3/5 有時有一些地方太巧了或誇張，難融入。更有有一些暴力情節我很難接受。

角色發展/立體程度：5/5 女主作為典型的重生小說主角，個性變化上輩子就發生（完）了。角色雖然立體，但重生後只能在自己回憶起之前的時候個性上才有對比。本人認為比起女主的角色發展，男主的變化比較有看點，與之前女主認識的人有反差。除了男女主之外，配角雖然很多，但大部分都角色鮮明，讓人難忘。

爽文？：4.5/5 較虐的小說。看了很過癮，作為穿越者的女主知道什麼，不知道什麼把握的很好。但我一開始就說了，真的把我給看哭了好幾次。

總分：17.5/20

This was one of the better light novels in the alternative historical rebirth genre that I have read in recent memory.

Writing Style: 5/5 Very enjoyable. The author is descriptive enough with the surroundings and what's happening that it feels like the scene is playing out right in front of you, but does not have overly long descriptions that distract from the pace of the story. Dialogue is interlaced between descriptions of the happenings and characters' emotions. I particularly appreciated how the author mostly avoided modern day, casual phrasing and figures of speech. In historical novels, their use can be jarring and takes away from the rest of the story.

Plot: 3/5 I am not a fan of particular aspects of the plot, especially violent ones that I feel are unnecessary to include or could have easily been switched for another action. Besides the main complaint here, certain parts of the plot felt too coincidental or cliche. However, the overall plot plus character development was very effective in evoking emotion and empathy towards the characters.

Character Development: 5/5 As is typical of the main character in a rebirth novel, much of the female protagonist's character development happened during her last life. She is now re-living her life after having gone through the changes, and the author showcases her changes well, through the character's memories and determination to do better this time around. The male lead's character "development" is much more interesting to follow. As the story unfolds, we see more and more of who he really is and the reader is able to see the differences through the eyes of the protagonist. Besides well-developed main characters, the supporting characters are also distinctive - they feel alive.

How it made me feel: 4.5/5 As I said at the start, this novel made me cry a couple times. The author does a great job making you invested in the well-being of these character and when they are heartbroken, I was as well. Their confusion, mistrust, and fear was mine, as well as their joy, bravery and strength of character. When I read transmigration or rebirth novels, I search for the feel-good aspects of the main character knowing everything and being "smarter" and often stronger than everyone else. However, that doesn't usually make for great literature and gets quite boring if not balanced well by a fast-paced, thoughtful plot. I feel that the author of this novel does a good job of balancing what the protagonist knew and did not know. The protagonist knows some things but determinedly sails off into the unknown, hoping to right the wrongs and become a better person in this lifetime.

Total: 17.5/20

but say you study in the alchemy commission and slowly train your abilities. maybe you worked as a nurse or assistant just trying to figure yourself out, and one day the apprentice of the fuckin Sword Champion of the Loufu ends up in your care and he's so sweet and handsome with his honey eyes and boyish smile and he makes you laugh, but you send him off that day and think that's that.

but all of a sudden you find that he is finding every excuse to be able to see you and it's so obvious he has a little crush but he's just so cute that you can't help but fall so easily for him too

you bandage his hands after training and kiss his bruises better when he pouts and he brings you the prettiest jewelry from off world missions with his master and carves your initials together somewhere on the training ground with his favorite sword.

you make out in the dark alleys of the alchemy commission and explore what it is like to love and to care for someone in a way neither of you have experienced before and it's clear to everyone how smitten you both are with each other

then something comes up and you have to leave the loufu for your home planet and when you are saying goodbye, he is not just upset, he is bitter, a little resentful because he never even thought about leaving your side, and he never considered that it may be different for you

you don't want to leave him, but you have to because you have responsibilities on your own planet and maybe you never planned to stay on the loufu forever in the first place

jing yuan grows and more people leave him, but he stays, and the pain never goes away, but it grows duller with him.

you grow as well and you are weighed down by the responsibilities of your family and you realize that your beloved aeon is not what you thought and you and your most trusted friends leave to find a way to free your people.

you turn to the loufu for help because you know that he is the general now and you hope that even if he hates you, you trust that he will be kind enough to save your people.

just imagine you request to have an audience with him and he is shocked to see you back, standing before him in the seat of divine foresight with the conviction of a leader in your eyes, as if you didn't tear his heart out of his foolish chest centuries ago and squeeze it rotten and dry in your deceiving hands.

but he plays along, brings your group to a meeting room and you are there pleading your case.

"If you remember, my body did not well receive the blessing of our aeon as it has previously in my family.

"I remember, I was very well acquainted with your body, if you recall."

He preens shamelessly, in front of everyone.

Day 26: Memory 🧐

Senior Wei asked the Juniors to make a journal recording their night hunt adventures. Some in the group may have taken it either too seriously or not seriously enough.

Tears.

Do we think Macaque's forgotten how to cry? In most of the scenes we've seen Macaque in pain or losing in a way. It almost looks like he want's to cry.

Like, I know in these scenes he probably didn't because LBD was there but he was litterly hyperventilating.

But in this scene, he genuinely looks so frustrated and possibly on the verge of tears and he knows what's coming for him because he failed again. But also in Season 5. When Mk and Wukong went and tried to sacrifice themselves. He obviously wouldn't cry because he was trying to convince Mk not to go. But he looks so actually worried and scared for him.

Everyone was crying after that (Except NeZha and Li Jing of course) once Mk was brought back. We know Mk and Macaque aren't as close as Wukong and Mk are but the point still stands on how worried he was for both of them and the fact that Mk was the first person to possibly put faith/believe in Macaque in years. Every time he should/or at least somewhat have hints of tears in his eyes. He doesn't. He's shoved down tears so much sense his death. He's forgotten how to cry. Or he's holding his emotions in so much he's forgotten to. Either way. He holds his emotions in to much. WILDBRAIN STUDIOS. MAKE MACAQUE CRY AND ECLIPSE DUO/SUNDIAL DUO/SHADOWPEACH HUG IN S6 AND MY LIFE AND SOUL CONTRACT ARE YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bonus: He looks so genuinely scared/terrified.

I am making this post because False Memory just released its new trailer and I am very much so looking forward to it! The series started as an indie short before growing into a bigger thing, much like Fog Hill of Five Elements and The Legend of Luo Xiaohei and Alita’s Trial. We’ve thus been waiting a couple years for news so this is really exciting, especially after it recently got a Twitter account!!
