- (I think I can classify this as modern) Rip sodapop curtis you would’ve loved saying “I’m just a girl 🎀”

- Soda never liked haircuts. When he was a small feral child his long hair would get tangled a lot, but he’s tender headed as FUCK so he would scream and cry when his momma brought the brush out. Darry put sodas hair into braids sometimes just for fun and soda didn’t mind bc it kept his hair from getting tangled, and then it didn’t hurt to brush. He’s always had really soft hair and it grows super fast.

- Jealous little soda asksjks (this was about soda being jealous over pony getting attention as a baby but I don’t wanna edit the original ramble I wrote down)

- When ponyboy was born he just kind of STARED. No crying or anything just 👁️👁️. Even Darry cried when he was born. Soda cried a lot.

- Adding on, Darry and pony were pretty quiet babies. They still cried for food and stuff sometimes but not a lot. Soda was a LOUDDD crier, and a frequent one too. It was the type of crying that sounds like it hurts the baby’s throat cause they’re shrieking their head off. Also soda would cry for, like, the first year of his life if he was ever handed to his dad.

- If Johnny survived the fire and got a wheelchair, he’d be running over people’s feet. Constantly. Just because. Or bc they asked for it. Either way, the moment he gets a hang of that wheelchair it is OVER for yall. And probably before that too.

- Ponyboy gets the same. Goddamn. Thing. At EVERY restaurant. Partly because it scares him to order anything else, partly because he’s picky asf. He makes sure it’s there on the menu and has his order memorized by now. “Chicken tenders, fries, and a Pepsi please.” He’s tried to ask for other things in the past like eggs, cuz he likes those, but the moment they asked him “how would you like them done” he just stared at Darry because he didn’t know what all the different types of eggs were, and now he’s scared bc he’s taking longer, and the server is still there, so he just got sunny side up eggs and they were slimy and he wanted to go home and cry (based on a true story sadly)

- Basically pony has anxiety and probably autism (so me)

- Ponyboy likes avocado. That’s it that’s the headcanon. It’s like one of the only healthy-ish things he’ll eat.

- Soda gets suuuper nauseous really easily, and pony gets carsick on occasion. So the first time pony went to a theme park, his family was scared that he would throw up like soda. They go on a ride and he’s like “yall im fine dawg.” Soda is jealous bc pony can go on rides unaffected (soda will still go on rides anyways, he just throws up afterwards)

- Pony is the most PALE ASS BITCH you’ve ever seen. He burns soo easily. His face gets red really quickly, no matter what’s going on. The only time he gets the slightest bit darker is when he burns and tans. Two-bit has been like “you ain’t white you translucent” multiple times because in the right lighting you can see pony’s veins. It’s even worse because soda and Darry tan so wonderfully, and pony looks like he had an allergic reaction if he doesn’t reapply his sunscreen when he’s supposed to. I feel like Mrs Curtis is the reason for this, she didn’t tan. Mr Curtis did tho.

It was early, much too early for your liking. Yet, you couldn’t find the sleep you yearned for. Your mind was wide awake, going over every minuscule detail for the day before you. Patrol, volunteer work, helping Maria out with run plans. It was going to be such a full day that you weren’t sure you were quite ready for. The responsibility was more than you were used to as you usually just stuck to either patrol or garden work.

“Baby?” Abby’s raspy voice called out quietly from her bundle of blankets, shifting slightly as she pulled the heavy duvet from her face to look at you.

Her blue eyes were dull from the lull of sleep she’d been pulled from and her usually braided hair splayed across her pillow wildly, arousing a giggle to escape your lips as you turned slightly to face her. “Good morning.” You hummed, moving your hand to brush some of the hair from her eyes.

Ellie shuffled slightly, tangled in the sheets from her constant movement. Yet she stayed in her peaceful slumber, only letting out a quiet snore.

“What time s’it?” The woman asked, blinking the exhaustion from her eyes as she looked towards the bedroom window that was haphazardly covered with a mock curtain. Through the cracks she could see it was still dark out, causing her to let out a small confused noise as she furrowed her brows. “Why’re you up?”

You shook your head gently, brushing the pad of your thumb over her lightly blushed skin. “Too stressed to sleep, nervous about today is all.” You explained, mind instantly hopping back to the list of priorities you had taken on. Some were willingly, others were matters of necessity, not that it mattered much to you. “Might’ve bitten off more than I can chew.”

“So louddd.” Ellie groaned, sitting up with a slight frown as she looked for the source of the noise- which happened to be Abby and yourself.

Ellie was infamously grumpy in the mornings, more so when she was awoken earlier than she would’ve preferred. So this shocked neither of you as you peered up at her, the haze of morning resting upon the three of you. “Oh.” She said finally, rubbing her face to wake herself up a bit more.

“Morning to you too, babe.” You teased, watching as she gave you a dirty look.

“Why’re you guys up?” She asked, grabbing the water bottle from the side table to cure her dry mouth (from sleeping with her mouth open, but neither you or abby had the heart to tell her.) “talking shit?”

Abby laughed, moving to give her a halfhearted shove. “Always,” she retorted, moving to rest upon her elbow. “Real note, our girl couldn’t sleep.”

Ellie let out a concerned noise, swishing the water around before setting the bottle back on the table. Her body turning to focus in on you, in your snuggled place between her body and Abby’s. “What’s wrong, babe?”

“Just stressed, that’s all.” You simplified, reducing your worries down to a simple statement. It wasn’t that you didn’t want to tell them more, but it was more the fact that the sheer presence of the two of them was enough to cloud your mind with adoration. The love and concern your girlfriends showed to you was more than enough to take your mind off of your day ahead. “No need to worry.”

Abby let herself collapse into her pillow, her arms coming around to secure you from the waist. “I’m off today, so whatever you need I can help with.” She rasped, her breath caressing the shell of your ear, sending a slight chill down your spine. “Don’t argue with me either.”

You hid a smile as you tugged at Ellie’s oversized shirt, beckoning her to join the cuddle pile. The weight had disappeared from your shoulders, allowing the lull of comfort to settle back into your muscles as you melted into Abby’s chest. “C’mon, Els.” You whispered, watching as the girl gave you a sleepy smile.

Ellie dipped back down in the sheets nestling herself into your arms as she brushed the hair from your face, placing a soft kiss on your temple. “I have patrol in a couple hours, but afterwards I’m all yours. Okay? I want to help too.” She stated, her green eyes sending a jolt of pure love through your body.

“Okay.”

It took less than a minute for the three of you to start shifting and annoying each other, but there was more love in that room than the entire population of Jackson had ever witnessed.

Iraq and Egypt aren't your aesthetic to use everytime you want "fantasy" flavor for your project and entertainment but refuse people from those countries to work on it because of your biases or because you genuinely hate us or whatever. This situation with people fancasting for iwtv and I also don't have any hope in the show runners to do the SWANA region justice in writing and in casting because when it comes to us it's ok to use us with no respect and never gives us opportunities or completely ignoring the origins of the character because people refuse to learn about the place and culture they're from. that's just the normal for the world and especially the west so it's not just about iwtv.

It is very disgusting to see the amount of characters anne rice wrote to be from the SWANA region and went on to white wash them and how she wrote them to be as characters. and now people are picking anybody from the west but people from said countries because well at least they're not exactly like how she described their looks... like I could bet that the entire production doesn't have more than like three people from any country in the SWANA region on it and this is me being generous and you don't even want people to play characters from their own countries ?? as if we get those opportunities in first place...lol. the amount of people I've seen demanding for them to not be played by people from those countries mentioned in a very disrespectful manner because they want certain actors in mind. I'm not even in fandom spaces and I keep clicking not interested when it shows up I shouldn't have liked some edits because this happens in every fandom people are weirdddd and louddd about it.

and this insane amount of new people who have come into the conversation and people gaining so much followers from this show talking so loud without taking a moment to learn about any of the cultures and places mentioned.

also how are book readers not know Akasha is from Uruk Iraq like ? It's also available info on google. of course Akasha is for everybody but iraqis is like we don't even exist and no iraqi ever have acted before.

It's worrying if the show did us right so much of the fandom from what I've seen so far will not like that.

at the end of the day it's their entertainment and the money that matters to the west not the cultures and heritages that are being taken for aesthetics and fetishiziton to profit from for every single genre. everybody cashing checks from us every two seconds there's a project with our cultures and heritages while never respecting us and never giving us our flowers not even the bare minimum of calling us by country name no it's just "middle east" the fav colonial term even if it's one or two countries you just cannot let it go ❤️ this is of course if not the cultures are mixed in a blender used as a mush for as a "fantasy world".

If you're going to use us but you are not willing to do the work and don't want us on the project then leave our cultures and heritages alone !!!

I had quite an interesting encounter today. I was waiting for a meeting and I got there too early so I was just sitting in the waiting room.
