Vote Wanda Langkowski

Sasquatch, also known as Wanda Langkowski but born Walter Langkowski, is a former American football star turned nuclear biophysicist who transforms into a big hairy hulk like monster. Through comic book nonsense, during the Bill Mantlo run Wanda took the form of Snowbird, one of the female teammates of Alpha Flight, and for many issues lived as a woman. Now, despite being written in the 80s when trans characters were not common in mainstream comic books at all, Wanda was explicitly treated as a woman afterwards! With the exception of Aurora, all of her teammates use she/her pronouns for her, and she takes the name Wanda immediately. She visibly enjoys her new form when she gets it, even when Northstar is mildly transphobic about it.

Even when thinking about the change, she vocally does not mind it, and thinks everything is going just right for her after this change!

When she does face conflict over her gender, it's very clear throughout the comic that her issues are from transitioning and the legal issues that come with being transgender, not from her own perspective of herself

And when later describing herself, she does not mention being a man as one of her identities, but being a woman. While she's upset at not being able to legally hold her own money, it's very clear in the text that she is a woman.

And hey, she looks absolutely adorable in her dress with pockets.

Wanda Langkowski is a trans women and deserves to be fully recognised and written as such! Vote Wanda Langkowski!!!
