Some doodles from my Roadtrip AU I’ve been thinking about obsessively

This is Cricket.

Cricket got isekai’d into the GF universe after accidentally activating a curse Bill hid in a copy of his book. So she convinces Stan to take a trip to GF with her to stop Ford and Fiddles from ever activating the portal, only they get into a bunch of mishaps on the way (which include evading a pair of Rico’s henchmen, dognapping, karaoke and thrift shopping). They finally arrive just before Christmas and run into Emma Mae McGucket who’s come up with baby Tate to find her husband.

Stan’s not entirely sure what to do with this crazy chick from an alternate future, especially one named after a bug, but he likes her spunk and she’s stubborn as hell. Cricket gets along especially well with Fidds and Emma Mae, and they all enjoy picking at the twins by using exaggerated Southernisms that don’t even sound like English sometimes. Once they get over it, the twins fight back with even thicker Jersey accents until a truce has to be called because no one can understand a word in the house.

Oh, and Shermie and his family arrive at some point to knock some sense into his little brothers.

It's time for my teen dads au Shermie appreciation post with drawings included 😌😌

Yes this is shermie but hes now the child of the twins because im silly, yap below!! 🤭🤭

Shermie was born as Shermaine in 1967 alongside his twin mariana when the stan twins were 15, things you already know happen yada yada yada and we're back to when the twins are 17 and stan got kicked out! While his parents and grandpa were fighting in the living room Shermie was in another room being babysitting by caryn, she appeared in the heat of the fight but it was too late to stop it so she could only watch how her son left home with her granddaughter on his side. Now it was only Stanford, but she wanted to know why her little free spirit had reacted so badly to the good news, yes she knew stanley and ford were very close and it could hurt to move away from him, but Stanley never seemed to have a problem with Ford's previous successes so she could perceive there was something more happening and she needed to know it before stanford leave to college. However, There are things that you would be happier if you didn't know and Caryn learned this the hard way when she found out about the origin of the grandchildren she loved so much after pushing ford to say it 🥲🥲

She was ANGRY, disgusted but most of all, she was disappointed with her sons for the freaks they turned out to be. not one but the two pines twins were a shame to their family now, at least without his machine broken ford get to West Coast Tech so he had a place to go after being also kicked out of house, but things wouldn't go as he expected anyway.

Without any of his parents around it was Caryn's responsibility to take care of little shermie, she couldn't see his grandson as she used to know that she knew the truth, the least she had left was to try to raise him better than she did with her children so she decided to raise shermie as a child of her's.

Shermie's childhood was like the twins but more strict and lonely, Filbrick didn't want anything to do with the kid so he only paid attention to him when he needed to give him some discipline while Caryn cared for him but was much less loving than she used to be with her other sons and without a sister on his side shermie grew up as a quiet and obedient child. Without his «parents» attention or any family member who could guide him during his adolescence (plus sex ed in the early 80s wasn't so good yet) he ended up in bad steps and same as Stanley he got knocked up at 15 by accident. 🥲🥲

Caryn was mad when she find out but at least she help him hide the truth to Filbrick as long as they could, weeks later a call announcing the death of his old brother Stanley came up and he had to go to the funeral to make companie to his mother even if he didn't never meet him (and thanks to his pa the only things he got to knew about stanley terrified him for matching what was he hiding lol) the funeral was the first time after years that he saw his «old brothers» even tho one was dead 🫠 he was very uncomfortable at the funeral wanting to hide at the side of his ma but «Stanford» has been watching him the whole time and took the opportunity when Caryn moved away from Shermie to talk to him. Even if stanley hasn't seen his other child in more than 13 years he knew that something was wrong with him and when he noticed what was that wrong he could only assure him that he would have his support even if what he really wanted to do was to take him and run away lol.

When shermie was around 7 months pregnant Filbrick noticed that the kid's belly was getting rounder and bigger and fuck no, he wouldn't go through that again. no matter if it was cruel or if caryn screamed at him but he wasn't going to let any other kid in this household. Without any support in house and knowing he couldn't stay there with his baby, shermie ran away and took a trip to stay with his «brother and niece» in Gravity falls. (And later find out he was trans lol where my trans man shermie truthers are at 🛐🛐)

He was way happier and loved in Oregon!, Stanley took his time to tell him the truth (skipping the incestuous part for later lol) and that was hard to process among other things like being a dad now but he at least had the support of his father and sister. Shermie, now Sherman, grew up as a very normal and calm man after all the fucked up things he go through when he was younger, married when he was in his 20s and later got the news that he would be a grandfather in 1999 BECAUSE NOBODY KNEW A FUCK ABOUT SEX ED IN THAT FAMILY 😭😭 he loves his grandchildrens and family anyway, but prefers to live far from all the crazy adventures of his family in Gravity falls to have a more calmly life along with his wife in California

Updating Stan's look in the modernity AU for new year!

It's not a permanent thing and honestly I might make some slight edits every now again with accessories. Also, the only reason he doesn't have his jacket is because Fidds isn't giving it back LMAO- anyway!

Stan grows out his hair throughout the year and only cuts it short twice to let his scalp breathe. Every new year and in the middle of the year(Late June/Early July) he cuts his hair short and styles it back. It's also like this that both he and Ford give their professors headaches because they can't tell who is who with 100% certainty.

He also now has the golden oyster pin which Caryn gave him for christmas(Ford has a six-fingered one too, I'll probably draw him next). It's actually a brooch pin but he placed it on his beanie anyway because this man doesn't wear a blazer and a brooch pin would look weird on his T-shirt. I also did away with the red stripe considering that it's a very striking call-back to childhood, I'm doing away with it in the more symbolic sense since he is growing up(partially, it's Stan when does he ever do away with his childlike sense of wonder).

Just a year left until he finishes undergrad, keep going boiyo!

Okay, so, I was looking through the transcript of Hana & GF Fan's interview with Alex Hirsch for the Shermie question (because I am weirdly interested in him) and what I'm getting is his purpose is basically just to make the Pines Family Tree make sense in context of the characters and is the baby seen in "A Tale of Two Stans"

That being said, in my mind Shermie is their older sibling, that baby is Shermie's son (or a secret fourth sibling), and she is a trans woman with a lovely wife

NEW AU DROP!!!!!!!

Introducing the Spooky Month : Blackholes & Tadpoles AU.

This AU takes place 20 years after the final episode of Spooky Month after the cult's defeat. Lila (now 55) and Shermy (now 60) are now a married couple, having had a new addition to Skid's family; the 12 year old Lily. Skid is now a 28 year old adult. Everything seems to have improved since the events of the series. The town is much safer, no more children are going missing and everyone seems to feel at peace.

That is, for everyone but Skid.

He has been having these strange visions and dreams, these strange impulsions. He's started to dress and act in a certain way, as if someone is trying to rewire his mind. Skid has caught on to what's happening, but doesn't have the heart to tell his family.

Skid's dad is back from beyond the grave, attempting to warp Skid into his vessel.

Gravity Falls is back in popularity, so I decided to throw my hat in the ring for a design for Shermie Pines, as well as an entire Pines Family Tree.

Shermie didn't have it easy. His dad left the family for his new family, his mum never got over it, eventually getting so ill she died of heartbreak! His own son was an accident, and the babymama ran out on them, leaving him to raise their kid! He tried to make things right with brother, Stanford, after the passing of Stanley, only to find out 30 years later, Stan stole Ford's identity!Despite all that, he was a good father and grandfather, and died happily after eventually making good with younger brothers.

EDIT: Imagine I read some of Journal 3 after making this and Mable causally bring up the twin's grandma who I intended to not be a part of their lives, I hate here bro lmao

Golsaileach on AO3 asked how each member if the family got kicked out in my version of the Pines family, following the punchline to part six (that last link contains spoilers).

Ford: came out as aetheist with zero tact and the worst possible timing. Fil: got the phone call that Will had been found and was in juvie; left despite it being the middle of a gathering. Stan: see "A Tale of Two Stans." Rich: was insistent that they be addressed by their proper pronouns or not at all. May: reverse uno card! She was never welcome until she proved herself so unfailingly charming and sweet that even Shermie had to like her. Shermie: Fil disapproved of the first wife, Caryn the second. (Or vice verse, I haven't decided.) Mabel: ate an entire cake. Wasn't kicked out, exactly, but it wasn't pleasant for anyone. Dipper: Wouldn't put down his Nintendo DS and come bond with the family. Got it taken away, had a tantrum, ended up banished to his room. Filbrick: pissed off his mother-in-law.

Random OC I came up with at school today

This little scrimblo is Shirley Pines! She’s Stan and Ford’s older sister, being 3 years older than them. Now Shirley is a lot of things, but good isn’t one of them. She’s selfish, pessimistic, and just downright rude. If she doesn’t like you, she’ll say that to your face (and even repeat it if you don’t hear her!). She hates Filbrick more than anything, seeing him as a maniac who she wants to murder, but can never find the right time and place to do that. She hates Ford because Filbrick favors him more than Stan, who she “loves”.

Shirley will always be by Stan’s side, giving him some advice and even popping dark jokes. Stan likes to ramble off about his dreams of the Stan-O-War to Shirley and she’ll tell him his dreams don’t matter and that he needs to grow up. Stan has a gnawing feeling that Shirley doesn’t really love him but she gives him the affection Pa doesn’t.

Ford was always being praised for his intellect. Everyone loved him except for his sister. He didn’t know why he was so desperate for her attention, he had everything he wanted. But the way she looked at him with disdain, how she would constantly tell him how she only wanted one brother, it genuinely hurt him. At least she didn’t make fun of his six fingers. That would be crossing a line, at least for Stan. It wasn’t like he was jealous of his brawny twin. Ford was smart, Stan was not. Ford had so many achievements and was loved by his parents and teachers. Stan had nothing but big dreams and hateful stares from everyone he knew. All except Shirley. Ford hated this feeling. Why couldn’t she be nice to him? Doesn’t she know he’s special?

Shermie: Woah! Ya have a lot of triangles here. In the doors, windows, and decor. Goin’ for a triangular theme?

Ford:

Ford: Yes. Now, would you like some coffee?

Shermie: Oh, sure. Thanks :D

Shermie: [thoughts] Triangles have always been his favorite shape.

If he ever got the chance to visit earth (or his solar system's equivalent) for vacation, who would he bring, where would they go, and what would they do?

He'd bring his bossman (and creator) Jaro, as always (they're attached at the hip practically)

We'll pretend he goes to Earth in this case because his first vacation choice was Chernobyl, which Jaro forbid. So Sherman went with his second choice, which was a roadtrip all over America to every single listed Superfund site... which mysteriously, these toxic places somehow wound up mysteriously much cleaner and less hazardous after Sherman's visit....................
