Poly! MoonBerryCake x Reader Pt. 6.5

AN: Okay i was in the middle of writing a/the clean browser history request when this came in (Idk if it's posted yet or not, depends how i feel lol) and immediately dropped everything to laugh and scribble a few ideas. I did finish the CBH request before starting this but the entire time I was giggling. AND Part 7 will be in the works at some point, but I'm working on some other requests before that <3

I wasn't gonna post this tonight but I hit 50 followers so let's celebrate:)

I haven't posted rules yet, which is coming, I'm just formatting it lol, but I'm comfortable with most things! I originally am a smut writer and so not very much can make me uneasy. That being said, for this blog I will not write any smut to stay respectful to Qwuel's wishes :) But things like this? I think are hilarious and absolutely on the table.

That trend is so funny to. For those who don't know, it's basically one person holding the camera, looking completely fine saying "Us after pound town" and then panning over to their partner, who looks, for lack of a better term, absolutely wrecked. There are a few DW takes on it on tiktok and I like every single one of them. :)

☁ Okay, okay, so this can go two ways here.

☁ The Broke take: Astro and Sprout split the roles of the more 'Dom' party.

☁ Both are mains, who are statistically stronger, faster, more evolved than the commons- like you and Cosmo. So it makes sense that they take the more upfront and steady role.

☁ Even on runs in previous parts, I've kind of played with that a bit. Both are settled individuals who have been practically trained to be in front of the camera and spotlight- no matter how much they hate it.

☁ I don't think that changes much after the breakout, honestly. I think after they've returned to their own forms and have had time to become reacquainted with not only themselves, but everyone else, they still hold that aura of main.

☁ Because there is a way about the mains that just...exonerates their status even if they don't mean for it too. It's in their designs and how they walk, and talk, bolstered from their times with their handlers.

☁ So it makes sense that within their relationship, they kind of take that responsibility as well.

☁ I find with Sprout especially as he's protective to a fault this is true? Like I've talked before about how you all stress him out, but it's because he cares so much it practically chokes him.

☁ While he does love good fun and being a menace in his own way- we'll get into that later- he also wants what's best for you all. So he's making sure you're eating and drinking water, taking care of yourself no matter what.

☁ Especially after the pudding cup fiasco. He keeps such an eye on the pudding inventory in the building after that, those who weren't there start worrying for him.

☁ Astro is similar in the sense that he wants the best for you all, but he goes about it in a different way. He's a very quiet individual outside of the private times he shares with you all, so he has to be sneaky about it. He has a reputation or so he's told.

☁ Bro is shadow the hedgehog coded /hj

☁ He shows his love in softer, quieter gestures. Like when he checked your forehead during the Blu incident? It was all he could think to do in that moment without freaking out. He does the smaller gestures because he's always so close to the precipice of panic when it comes to any of yours health. Bro is not chill, will never be chill, never wants to be chill.

☁ He and Shelly are BFFS, and as I said in her thing, she gets frantic when her partner gets hurt. Guess where she got that from. She got it from Baby Astro, crying for the handlers every time she so much as skinned a knee.

☁ He got more discreet about it as he grew up, but it never truly went away.

☁ So now that I've gotten that all out of the way, :)

☁ They are just as generous as lovers as they are as just like...beings.

☁ When it comes to you and Cosmo, nothing is off limits. Nothing is too much to ask for. You guys so much as breath and it has a hint of a thought of want for anything (Except pudding.) and it's yours.

☁ They probably have moods where, like the meme above, you and Cosmo need them to pick up your slack because asking you to do anything other than lay there is too much.

☁ Again, these two have different ways of showing aftercare.

☁ Astro's is soft, gentle massages and damp clothes being held by his star shards so you can reach them when you're ready. He's whispering and cooing all sorts of praises about how well you did for him and carrying you and Cosmo literally everywhere necessary.

☁ I don't know when I made carrying you guys Astro's thing, but it is now.

☁ Anyway, he's never very far from either of you and practically demands you two stick close to each other if nothing else so he can keep a close eye on both of you. If one of you absolutely demands to move somewhere and he's pinned by the other while Sprout is getting snacks or something, he's using his star shards as helping hands.

☁ He's always mindful of your own routines as well. For example, Cosmo puts a lot of care into his tail, which evidently gets ruffled and scuffed during the tussle against the bed, so he goes out of his way to learn how to properly care for it and making sure the process is as comfortable for Cosmo as possible.

☁ If you have a certain lotion or ointment you prefer, he always keeps it nearby so he can help you regardless if you can do it yourself or not.

☁ Whenever you or Cosmo try to do it yourselves, he's swatting your hands and doing it himself anyway, shooting you a stern look if you continue to whine about it. If you continue trying to do it, he isn't against using his extra hands to pin your own to the bed as he goes about caring for you.

☁ If you and Cosmo think there's no way he can catch you both, man oh man do I have some news for you. Because he can and he will. He's got an extra pair of hands and those star shards of his? He's got incredible control over them and literally makes a fool out of whoever thought they could outrun them.

☁ C'mon, you can barely stand and you think you're outrunning those bad boys?

☁ For all Astro jokes about Sprout being the Warden, he actually plays the part much better. By the time Sprout returns, you both are cleaned and subdued with Astro looking like the cat that caught the canary.

☁ Speaking of Sprout, he knows Astro has you both beat even with one set of hands tied behind his back. So once he's sure you and Cosmo are both okay and contingent enough you don't immediately whine when he's out of reach, he's showing his love in the way we already knows he does.

☁ He's getting you and Cosmo your favorite after care treats and water, along with things for himself and Astro, before returning, taking some of the burden off of Astro.

☁ He's the tallest out of all of you, so he too can also carry you quite easily. If by some miracle, one of you stubbornly gets out of Astro's reach, he's right there, picking you up like you weigh nothing. To him? You probably don't.

☁ He's a cheeky little asshole though, poking yours and Cosmo's cheek as you sip on water with that cocky little smirk, making you shove him away with a hand in his face. His go to move when that happens is to grab the hand and use it to pull the rest of you into his lap, nuzzling into your head with a laugh. You just didn't understand how cute you were to him, did you?

☁ Sidebar: I said they had moods, but with Sprout? Practically a given with him. With his stamina, he's got energy for days and knows it, which is why he takes a good portion of the aftercare that requires moving past what Astro can reach with the star shards.

☁ Rest assured though, neither Sprout nor Astro so much as think about moving until you and Cosmo are both soothed enough to handle the lack of personal attention.

☁ They have their favorite ways to end sessions too.

☁ Astro loves watching movies and cuddling in a big pile of kisses and limbs and laughter. It's literally his favorite thing in the world. He admittedly needs the contact for a little longer than Sprout does, loving the constant connection that comes with the bliss. You and Cosmo are quick to fall asleep during that too and he knows you're having good dreams since you're so close to him, so that's also an added bonus.

☁ Sprout can go either way. He likes the movies and cuddle pile, more so if you and Cosmo fall asleep. Not only are you two getting the rest you deserve, but it gives him the opportunity to turn his attention to Astro, smothering the celestial in all the love and adoration he can handle. But-

☁ He also enjoys doing any sort of group activity afterwards if you and Cosmo feel up to it. He's more than willing to hoist one of you on his back and trot into the kitchen, with Astro carrying the other one behind him, going on and on about what he could make or what they want to feel better.

☁ Food is literally such a big love language to him and he tries to show it at every possible opportunity.

☁ Bonus points if you and Cosmo are sitting there, licking your wounds as you groan to each other over all the things that are sore. He doesn't like that your in any sort of pain, obviously, but it makes him laugh at how big of babies you could actually be.

☁ Less bonus points if someone comes in and asks what attacked you two. Sprout can't stop his cackles fast enough as Astro chokes on his spit. It's just too funny watching you two scramble to answer that, turning a bright cherry red as you shoot them both glares. He's sure Cosmo absolutely combusts at the question, making him laugh even harder.

☁ Now, that was the broke take.

☁ The WOKE take: You and Cosmo top their bottom asses like it's no problem.

☁ You and Cosmo are both commons, which while not as strong as the mains, I'd like to argue are much tougher. In game they get an additional hit point, so I like to think if you're a common, you can take a punch or two and still get back up.

☁ This is carried over to the rest of your life of course. You and Cosmo are less likely to whine over injuries like minor burns or papercuts, you probably regularly playfully rough house with Cosmo because the other two whine about it. Hell, even by being a distractor alone, you're fast and don't take anyone's shit.

☁ Because everyone is so quick to blame the distractor if they get hit, you very quickly learned to become assertive and lay out a plan so if they deviate, it's their fault. You've grown accustomed to the other toons whining and snapping at you, especially in the beginning when getting research without Rodger seemed like a hopeless endeavor.

☁ So you have experience with toons fighting you on your every decision and quickly laying down the law.

☁ As for Cosmo, he's a healer.

☁ ...I don't know if y'all main healers, but I do (Alongside Astro) and lemme tell ya. People are mean to healers. He's constantly getting into fights with the other toons if he doesn't heal them well enough or if they simply have a scratch and are begging for a full heal. He had to learn to hold his own fast, much in the same way you did.

☁ Not to mention heals. The reason he drops everything once a heal is called is because before you and the others got experienced and learned how to properly hide and do runs, he had to fight the others for heals. Rodger and him had gotten physical more than a few times as the magnifying glass tries grabbing the med-kit for him and Toodles while Cosmo needed it to heal you along with everyone else.

☁ So while he's sorry for stressing Sprout out when he does it, he admittedly isn't looking to really break that habit for worst case scenarios.

☁ That being said, again, Cosmo is tough. He isn't a soft pastry who's gonna crack at the first sight of conflict. He's used to shutting attitude down as it comes, and he's used to grey walling when arguing gets him nowhere.

☁ Sidebar 2: Cosmo would be such a good gentle parent bro. He doesn't confuse it with dismissive parenting and I just- UGH.

☁ Anyway, suffice to say that you and Cosmo both know how to be a dominant voice no matter where you are. Or who you're dealing with.

☁ One of the notes I've had scribbling for this entire time since I got this message was, and I quote:

☁ "Sprout's a brat. I'm actually his scarf so I know."

☁ And I stand by past me. She was right.

☁ Sprout is the biggest brat. I've said it before in the Healer! Reader one (I think), but he like...refuses to get healed. He'll fight Cosmo and Ginger on it. This, again, carries into whatever he does. He's stubborn and willing to play dirty to get what he wants.

☁ Only child syndrome or something. His handler only had one toon to handle, so it makes sense that he got used to having all the attention on him. He lowkey expects the same in a relationship. He wants you three to be as obsessed with him as he is with you, and while you are, he probably doesn't think that way sometimes.

☁ He thinks because he's taller he can get away with whatever he wants. He pushes and prods when you aren't giving him what he wants and probably thinks he can change your mind. Which is where that assertiveness from early comes in.

☁ Eeny meeny miney- Let's start with Cosmo. Cosmo is quick to just...not interact when Sprout gets into one of his moods. While normally he's all over you guys and your every whim, there is a kind of switch that flicks when the mood strikes Sprout that changes the interaction.

☁ I can't explain it but like, you know when your partner is being a brat for the sake of being a brat or when they genuinely want your attention. Like you know. And Cosmo? He knows.

☁ So when Sprout is being a bit of twat, he doesn't engage, does not interact, barely gives him a glance before returning to what he was doing.

☁ Like, he's not outwardly strong, but he's got enough muscle that when Sprout tries to throw himself onto Cosmo's back, as if to prove a point, Cosmo can hold the weight while also continuing to ice cookies. It's kind of funny actually.

☁ Of course, Sprout does do well with this and when he realizes he's not getting what he wants from Cosmo, he throws his equivalent of a fit. He cries and whines about "You don't love me anymore" and "I've been replaced by cookies."

☁ Cosmo has to really pry on his patience for that one.

☁ As for you, you deal with Sprout however you deem fit. If it's the same way as Cosmo, he's literally like a ticking time bomb, just waiting to blow up in your face. In which case, you and Cosmo have a great night ahead of you! If you chose a different, more punitive approach...it's still a great night ngl.

☁ Astro is like...the polar opposite. He needs to please and is so good at it too. He does have a hiccup in the sense that sometimes he gets too lost in the need to just be near one of you. While Cosmo's dealing with Sprout, Astro is probably with you, quite literally crawling in between whatever you're doing and you, perching himself in your lap to get your attention.

☁ He's like a cat. Worse. Blu isn't even as bad as he is.

☁Also? He bites. When he's not getting the attention he wants, Astro bites. Then acts like he didn't do anything.

☁ So deal with them as you please. They like it, trust, I'm actually Sprout's scarf.

☁ Afterwards, they are shells of the toons the were.

☁ They are such babies.

☁ They need constant attention and will complain if they don't get it- one much, much louder than the other.

☁ While you're trying to get damps cloths ready and towels and Astro's favorite lotion, you have star shards yanking at you, trying to pull you back the entire time even with Cosmo still right there.

☁ If Cosmo is grabbing water and snacks, he can still hear Sprout yelling at him from your room, literally just making noise for the sake of making noise even if Cosmo can hear the strain on his throat.

☁ By the time everything is cleaned and water and snacks are within arms reach, you and Cosmo are pinned. No choice about it. Maybe if you're lucky you'll have time to put on a movie or something, but if not, man sucks to be you.

☁ They need the constant touch. It admittedly comes from a fear of abandonment especially while they're so vulnerable.

☁I haven't gone into detail about my own headcanons about their handlers and I'm kind of split on it in all honesty. I think their handlers definitely cared for them deeply, but they were still humans and humans are flawed individuals especially when it comes to things like money. We know the founders were bad people, but I think their handlers were genuinely good people who were just told bad things. Which influenced how they cared for the toons.

☁ But that's another discussion for another day.

☁ Not to be that person, but everyone can tell when those two took it lying down, so to say. because even the next day you and Cosmo are always seen with at least one of them following you.

☁ Maybe you and Vee are discussing the aspects of bringing her game show back, but she can barely focus, too busy laughing at the sight of Sprout slumped over you, arms locked around you as he burrows into your shoulder. He hasn't moved since you sat down, immediately falling into you, and Vee is sure he's got no plans on moving or letting you move either.

☁ Or maybe it's Shelly, cooing at Astro, who's hiding in Cosmo's back, as the cake roll copies his recipes into his personal recipe book, laughing as star shards swat at her.

☁ Either way, they cling. They're velco babies at heart.

☁ But either way I think it's safe to say, either party, no matter which way it goes whether it be Fruitcake taking over or you and Astro or Astro and Cosmo or you and Sprout, it's safe to say the next day is a no-run day.

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 186 (Big News at Work)

Life returning to normal in Brindleton Bay didn't just mean more time spent with family - it also meant Heather had her hands full managing her updated clinic, and Conrad always had cases to tend as captain at Brindleton PD.

The clinic also received a visit from Catarina Lynx-Munch, the director of Shelly's Animal Haven, who came in with one of her cats for their annual check-up. She was also thrilled to report an uptick in donations after the shelter - and Heather, Conrad, and Gord - appeared on the reality series Dating Deanna.

"We won't have to think of the electricity bill for at least a year after this exposure!" she beamed, and Heather celebrated along with her.

"Cat, that's fantastic! I know how hard you guys work to get Brindleton Bay strays ready for adoption, and the exposure couldn't have been given to a better shelter."

Suri came by at least once a week to check on the clinic's adjoining cafe, which made decent extra money for them both. And though Heather had long ago forgotten fears of sending her children to daycare, she also wanted to spend as much time with Roan - who was growing so fast! - as she could, so she brought him to work (and sometimes the pets) on slow days when she had more lab work than appointments.

Her best vet tech, Kaori Hayashi, used the appearance of Roan to request time off to spend with her daughter, Kimi, and Heather was all too happy to give it. Kaori had been with her a long time, and Heather had relied on her time and again between maternity leave, time off to get married, kidnappings, and funerals, and she promoted her to a level 5 vet tech while approving her time off.

Family friend Bella Goth came in with one of her cats, all too thrilled to cuddle the youngest Gordon while she and Heather chatted about Alex Goth's mayoral prospects.

"He's always been determined, my Alex," said Bella proudly, as Heather finished examining Spatula and changed into a clean pair of scrubs. "He's knocked on so many doors the last few weeks, his knuckles have knocks on them! I think he'll mop the floor with Mr. Huntington in the debate, but that's because Alex is preparing as well as he would no matter his opponent."

Heather smiled. "I've heard great things from locals when I've canvassed with Hazel. Conrad can't canvas, of course, and cops endorsing politicians is blatantly corrupt, but Alex's dedication is exactly why Conrad and I know were our vote is going. J's a decent guy and his pets are great patients, but I'm not convinced he's not running because Landgraab Corp. put him up to it. The Bay needs people in charge who care about the town in ways the Brindletons never did."

Heather was also working hard to train her newest tech, Fernanda Carrillo, hoping to raise her skills enough that her clinic's rating wouldn't be too severely impacted by the death of her last tech, Rico Garrison.

Fernanda was young and enthusiastic, eager to do her best for her boss and all the clinic patients. She was a good hire, and things at the clinic were going as smooth as ever.

Likewise, Conrad's day-to-day at the precinct lately was quiet. He always had cases to go over or lab results to analyze, but no bodies were turning up at Fisherman's Wharf. And at least while the mayoral race was on, J Huntingdon's heavies at Bay Landgraab Security weren't making any trouble.

Conrad was cautiously optimistic, but it seemed George Brindleton's assertions that the town would fall apart without his control had been mere threats by a power-hungry gangster.

He was checking some lab results when the head squint, Sarah Emery, interrupted his analysis. "Captain Gordon, has the chief talked to you about the tests I ran this morning?"

Conrad shook his head. "Was there anything special about them?"

"They sent some DNA swabs over from Brindleton Prison and asked for a paternity test for a pregnant inmate."

His stomach dropped, and inmate John Brindleton's words ran through the back of his mind. "I'm happy in here. I've met someone." He waited for the rest of Sarah's gossip with morbid curiosity.

"Inmates getting pregnant doesn't happen all that often, especially by other inmates, but I was just as surprised as the Chief when Ximena Bonilla's test confirmed John Brindleton is the father of her baby!"

By the time Sarah said it, Conrad had been waiting for the truth. His heart raced - not because photos confirmed Ximena, who hated kids, was going to have a child, but because he knew what the system did with children born to incarcerated parents. His fears were for Rafa, who seemed so unready to raise a niece or nephew, but Conrad knew Rafa well enough. He'd never let the system raise his flesh and blood.

Conrad left the lab to talk to the chief, with the quiet monotony of the day replaced by the cloud Ximena always seemed to drag behind her. ->

NOTE: I've got the clinic rating to a solid 4 stars, I think. I'm almost at the point where I can afford the lab coat - the last vet clinic perk, and I'm hoping this tips the scales. At this point if I can get a handful of 5 star ratings, regardless whether it impacts the average, I'd call it a win on this bonus goal. Thus far, I have zero five star reviews.

NOTE 2: For those keeping track - Felicia Richards (born), Angela and Emit's twins (coming soon), Lilix baby (coming soon), and now Ximena and John Brindleton. Is that all the babies in this boom? Nope, it is not! More to come because my game said let's get wild (to the point I even cancelled a couple autonomous pregnancies because there were actually too many)!

Hajun's/Joker's analysis

(This is more like a rant tbh)

I don't see lot of people talking about Hajun, whereas I think he's fascinating character and even though there's a lot we don't know about him, he's written enough for me to rant and analyse about.

Hajun, a.k.a Joker, is a character in Windbreaker webtoon written by Yongseok Jo. He's part of Sabbath crew, which plays antagonistic role in the story. Joker's moral compass can be confusing at first because he's illegally making money, but he's also well-intented person. He has taken the role of caregiver and provider for his brothers and he seems to give everything he has to live up to that role. However, the money he's making is from underground and illegal boxing, where people bet money who's gonna win and who's gonna lose. I believe fight clubs are popular outside of this manhwa so, I'm sure you all understand what I mean. It's been shown that Hajun enjoys fights and he's fascinated by mma & martial arts, but boxing is what he has taken biggest interest in. He tends to get excited whenever he meets strong opponent (like how he immediately started a fight with Owen, who's supposedly cyclist genius) and immediately asks for a fight, whether politely or not. He never misses a chance to get into fight, not for money but because he genuinely likes fighting strong opponents. He has quick reflexes and can easily block random and sudden attacks, he's also a guy who starts throwing punches before others can even blink. Can he act impulsive? Yes. Is he a bad person? No. And I'm going to explain why.

Firstly, his little brother HATES that Hajun is making money by beating people up, hence he, himself, starts working and denies his education. Hajun, as a big brother, of course can't turn blind eye to it and hence approaches his brother about it more than once. Upon hearing what his little brother said in part 3 of Windbreaker, Joker decided to change his ways of making money so his little brother wouldn't have to work so hard especially at construction site, which is very dangerous for a kid.

Mind you, it's not easy for Hajun either because as I said, he truly enjoys fighting and he needs to make money as soon as he can but there's very little he can do without professional career or guardian. It's not only money as well, he's cooking for them, handling their healthcare and etc. He's trying his best to be emotionally available for them as well and makes sure to hear them out and be understanding in his own ways.

Aside from being caregiver to his brothers, he's a person who values fairness. He refused to against Dom Kang when it was two on one because he considered it to be unfair, he doesn't pick on weaker opponents because he knows it'd be unfair - like how he refused to block Shelly because she wasn't good at physical fights and he didn't want to injure her. But he went against his own morals few times in order to gain money, like helping Wooin with drug dealing just because Sangho gave them money.(Or maybe he thinks it's alright as long as he gets money out of it) However, Joker himself never doped and achieved everything by his own strength and skills.

His morals might be little questionable at some point but he's truly well-intented man. He even stopped cycling in the middle of race, despite being close to finish line, to save the injured puppy and go to the vet afterwards. He seems to be very responsible person as well, as he took the puppy under his care, provided for it and always made sure puppy was with him and safe. Once, he also stopped at the red light during the cycling race when he didn't have to.

He's quite hardworker as well, acknowledges his weakness and trains to improve himself. He's quite motivated character and has sportsmanship whatsoever. Author is portraying him as tough on outside, soft on the inside type of guy in the series. But again, there's more to his character that has to be explored but we're lacking information, unfortunately. A really good trait of his is that he's not changing his values and morals for someone, no matter what kind of situation he really is in. He has his priorities set straight and follows it with undying loyalty.

Owen: “I should’ve bought you flowers”/“I can buy myself flowers”

A double dozen of Heirloom roses in one hand, a box of chocolate from Charbonnel et Walker in another - only the best of the best for you. Nervously he stands in front of the door before releasing a puff of air and opening the door. 

His first words should’ve been “I’m sorry” or “babe, I got you something”. But he sees flowers and chocolates already in your hands. 

“Who gave you those chocolates and flowers!?” 

“…Me, myself, and I.” 

…Well, crap.

“Oh, uh, what a coincidence. I got you flowers and chocolates too!” His smile strains, beads of sweat sliding down the back of his neck. 

Your expression couldn’t get any flatter was what he had thought when heard how pissed you were from Camila. Obviously, he’s proven wrong as your eyes start resembling the void. 

Slowly he places his gifts on the table and raises his hands in the air. 

“…So, I can explain-“ 

The next few minutes get spent with him making all sorts of excuses as to why he had decided to suddenly take a “surprise” to South Korea. Too bad for him you don’t buy any of it, calling him out for each one. And to make things worse, you reveal it’s both from Noah and Shelly (Noah, he sort of expected but Shelly? Shelly????) you found out about it  in three days since he left the UK, both complaining to you about him bothering them. 

“-think about your team and how much trouble you’re causing them! Also quit bothering that rookie, Jay! It’s clear he likes Shelly and intends to be good to her!” Instantly he snaps his head up. 

“You like him too-!?” 

When he makes an appearance later that day at the training facility, no one makes a comment about his bad mood or why he keeps grumbling about taking down a certain cyclist.

Jay: “And Held your hand”/ “I can hold my own hand”

He slouches on the bench, gloom filling the air around him. 

The whole day he tried to hold your hand. But somehow and some way you manage to always keep them full. Break time? Helping carry supplies to the classroom for the teachers. Lunch? Holding your phone and ID. 

Hell, this morning when he woke up from the impromptu sleepover, he found you holding your own hand. In your sleep. 

Minu and June tried to comfort him, patting his back and telling him you won’t stay mad for long. when he asked how they knew, the two of them refused to make eye contact with him. He didn’t need to be told anything else, the silence shared the next few seconds filled with camaraderie of dealing with their s/o’s wrath. 

To be fair, he was being honest when he told you about traveling to the US all of sudden and that he had fun with the guys. Just… minus the extra, little tidbits of him getting threatened with a gun. Then kidnapped. Then dealing with a drug case. 

 he practically forgot how easy it was for you to pick on the existence of missing pieces as you corner Dom during yesterday’s group study/sleep over to fess up everything since you knew he was going to keep it to himself. 

“I knew you’d be here.” Snapping his head up, his eyes wide. You stand in front of him, your hands are on your hips. “Next time you pull something like this, it’s forty-eight hours. Got it?” 

Starting by wrapping a finger around yours, he happily grabs hold of your hand as he mutters a sorry and promises not to do it again. 

The two of you end up being given disapproval looks the next day at school, the girls telling you you should’ve been harsher while the guys gave crap to him for getting off the hook so easily. 

Pole: “Should’ve gave you all my hours”/ “I can talk to myself for hours”

 He sits on the couch, his arms wrapped around the same leg he’s using to prop his chin as you sit next to him watching some rip off version of Love Island.

“Um, so listen-“ 

“Oh, that’s so funny!” 

“Look, I just want to say-“ 

“Wait what? Stewart cheated on Samantha?” 

“Babe, please-“ 

“That scumbag. That trash! That mother trucker-!” 

…So, he may or may not have messed up.

He swears up and down it wasn’t on purpose. He was simply overly excited that Oliver finally, in how many years, agreed to join his crew Gold Rush leading him to talk to the blue-haired male constantly for a few days. All while ignoring the signs of you trying to grab his attention and your texts. Perhaps even a few phone calls on top of that. 

So what do you do? Not talk to him. You texted with your friends, had phone calls with people both you are mutuals with. You talked to yourself. All regardless if he was there or not including now where he’s now up and stands between you and the screen. Every time you tilt your head so you’d be able to continue watching, he shuffles to block your way. When you sigh, he kneels and wraps his hands around you. 

“Please talk to me, I’m sorry-!” He whines, stubbornly keeping his head on your lap while you try to shove him off. “Please!!!”

It’s quiet for a moment, him giving you the kicked-puppy look while you blankly stare at him. 

“…I can’t believe this.”

Despite his ears bleeding from hearing your rant about how he had the audacity to brag Oliver’s ears off about you when he was ignoring you, it ends up being worth it as he was able to talk to you again along with having a snuggle session. 

Wooin: “Take you to every party”/ “Take myself dancing”

He finally loses it, watching you stuff your phone and go back dancing. You didn’t blink or consider answering; just one glance and done. 

Okay, fine. He should’ve been more truthful about where he was and what he was doing the night of Vinny pointing a broken glass bottle at his neck, especially after you had warned him about his business was going to “bite him back in the ass” because he’s “too mean” to people. 

Did he expect you to be mad when you found out about it? Yes. For you to go clubbing by yourself, without him, during the whole weekend? No. 

Slipping through the crowd with ease and expertise, he reaches you right on time to witness the one moment all boyfriends hate. 

“Come on, I promise it’ll be fun.” There’s no exception. That loser hitting on you? That guy’s dead, one way or another. 

Or that’s what was supposed to happen. When or how you realized he’s there, he has no idea, completely catching himself and the group around you off guard as you turn and kiss him. 

“No way. I told you I was taken!”

His brain doesn’t go back online until the two of you are a distance away from the club and you let go of his hand. 

“I’m never doing that again…” You grumble, crouching down while going on a tangent about how much you hate nightclubs. 

His tempers flares and he clicks his tongue.  “Yeah? And what made you think it was smart to go alone?” 

Another regret is born as he quickly learns you weren’t out drinking while dancing on the floor - you were actually very much sober. Add that to you also being the only one so far that could out-smart him when arguing, he faces your (nagging) rage wordlessly. At least it doesn’t take long nor that bad, you calling it even since he did save you by appearing when you were getting hit on and kissing him on the cheek as thanks.

You stood in front of your now ex-boyfriend, he had been cheating on you for quite some time and you had just learned of the truth. He tried to convince you he wasn’t cheating but you had seen it with your own eyes. Not far, Nanami stood there watching the interaction. He stayed out of sight to give you privacy but he was still there. 

“I think you are overreacting, (Y/N).” 

“I am not overreacting, we are done. I have the photos, and people who saw you told me. Then you brought her to my home.”

“(Y/N), it meant nothing. Just a mistake,” 

“Stop it, (ex), we are done.” 

You turned away from him, but he growled and grabbed your wrist pulling you back. Nanami was there in a flash, gripping your ex’s wrist tightly.

“Let. Her. Go.” 

“Nanami,” you said softly. He looked at you behind his glasses and motioned for you to get in the car the moment your ex let go. You got into the car without saying anything. Nanami was furious as he shoved your ex against the wall.

“You come near her again, and I will break every bone in your body.”

“Chill dude, I am just trying to talk with her.”

“She is done talking, and made it clear. Stay away from her.” 

Nanami’s voice was harsh, direct, and professional. Yet above all else, his voice gave off a warning, a deadly warning. Nanami got into the driver’s side and started to drive off. 

“You know, Nanami, you didn’t have to do that.”

“I take my duties as your bodyguard very seriously. I thought I told you to tell me where you are going, what if I wasn’t there?”

“He wouldn’t have hurt me.”

“He already did,”

“Wh- oh, you heard the conversation.”

“Indeed, I did. I wasn’t going to step in, but then he grabbed you.”

You fell silent, it was embarrassing that he knew about what happened. You looked out the window, as Nanami drove you back home. He got out of the car and opened it for you, helping you out. He was always a gentleman to you. He walked you to the door as you unlocked it. You walked in, and Nanami turned to leave but you gently grasped his wrist.

“Wait… Nanami.”

“Yes, (Y/N)?”

“Can you stay? I don’t really want to be alone right now.” 

Nanami was silent as he stared at you, his eyes only saw pain. He nodded his head walking into the house. 

“I will stay as long as you want me too.”

“Thank you, I know it's outside of your pay rate to comfort someone with a broken heart. But I ju-”

Nanami pulled you into his chest, you let a surprise gasp. Nanami had found it hard to maintain his stoic facade since he had trained himself to be an impassive guardian. But he had gotten to know you over the years and couldn’t help but fall in love with you. 

You relaxed against him, gripping his suit’s jacket, balling it in your fists.

“I don’t care about what's inside my pay rate when it comes to you. I will stay as long as you want me to. Even if it means doing overtime.” 

“You hate overtime.”

“I know, but for you, I don’t mind.” He mumbled, stroking your hair. You relaxed against his hold, hugging him tightly.

“Thank you, Nanami.” 

“You are welcome, (Y/N). Promise me one thing though.”

“What?”

“Don’t stay hung up on him for too long. He didn’t deserve you, and he isn’t worth your tears.” Nanami said, his voice was rough but gentle, his large frame covered you entirely, and his scent filled your nostrils. You couldn’t help but melt into him. 

“I promise, Nanami.”

He pulled back slightly, and looked into your eyes. His hands gently stroked your cheeks, he didn’t need to say words because the look in his eyes said everything you needed to know. You gave him a small smile, and he slowly leaned down pressing his lips to yours. 

Your heart skipped a beat,but you slowly started to kiss back. His lips were gentle, and the way his hands cupped your face, had you forgetting every bad thing in your life. He parted from the kiss and casually nudged his nose with yours before parting. 

You tried to lean up to kiss him, but he pressed a finger to your lips. 

“Get over your ex first, and then I will give you all the kisses you want.”

You pouted slightly but smiled nodding your head. He led you to the living room, before he made you a bowl of ice cream. He set it in your lap and clicked on your favorite movie. He wrapped an arm around your shoulders, so you could lean against him.

Chapter 35- Part 19

Is this doing anything? I mean I can see it's changing the rail connections, but- for what purpose?

Well isn't that appropriate. 

I see the group gathered again, and…oh dear, there's a blockage. Uh- Cain? Any insight?

Ah…I see, this is still happening. Not surprising though, given what's happened to her.

I wonder…what would have happened if we'd said “Yes” to Connal? I mean, I'm sure we would have fought him, but I’m talking about besides that. Would Sirius have done something to Anna while we were distracted with Connal? Or would it have been better to free Heather from Connal right away instead of making her wait longer? Then again, I guess if we didn't go up to Sirius' office, we wouldn't have learned about Anna and Noel’s father, and we wouldn't have blown up Sirius at the end there. So thinking about it like that, maybe saying “No” was the better option…?

And yet…I don't know. I just don't feel as satisfied as I thought I would, coming out of that. Maybe I'm still kinda salty about not being able to beat up both Connal and Sirius, maybe I'm upset about not being able to get the Ruby Ring or the Amethyst Pendant back despite everything, or maybe…maybe it's some gut instinct telling me “No” was the wrong choice in actuality. I haven't felt like…this before while playing this game, even after something like the Pyrous Mountain incident. And that's what concerns me…

Now, going back to a narrative for this- while I'm feeling all kinds of mixed in the gut, Xera herself in-universe probably…is not. I mean sure, Team Meteor still having the ring and the pendant isn't good, I'm sure she's not satisfied with Connal getting away scot-free without a fight, and Heather still being catatonic isn't good either, but even so? I think she's just grateful that something finally went about as right as it could've. No allies getting badly injured or killed this time, Heather and the other kids are out of Team Meteor's clutches…sure, the gems are still gone, but those can probably (hopefully) be stolen back at some point. The kids (most importantly Heather) are more or less safe again, there's now potential for Heather to properly recover…those are the most important things, and I think that's enough for Xera right now. 

Anyways, speaking of the others…they're still here to talk to! Like Shelly, let's start with her!

I am sitting on my couch, comfortable in my new apartment with my fiancé and our friend. The three of us have just had a very long, very intense talk. We have been smoking since it ended.

Jon is sitting on the floor in front of me with his head in my lap. He holds a glass bong in both of his small hands. He’s never used one before until tonight. He coughs every time he takes a hit. He’s pathetic. I want to tell him so.

He passes the glass to Tim, and my finger curl gently into his hair once he settles again. Tim looks distant, and tired. I’ll get him to sleep soon- won’t take long for him to doze off.

Michael will be here soon. It’s best Tim doesn’t hear what I am going to tell him. I’ve already told Tim a little bit, but I don’t know how much he believed me.

By the time I hear Michael’s key to my apartment in the door, I’ve tucked Tim gently under a blanket after lifting him up onto the couch. I look over as my Michael enters, and I smile at him.

I usher my Jon into the kitchen, motioning for Michael to follow. He does. I get the promised sweets for Mikey, make myself coffee, and I sit at the table.

I don’t get into everything immediately. Jon is watching me intently in the way I know means he’s eager.

“I need you to know what you’re in for with me. I need you to know everything.” I say.

Michael looks confused- he looks like he’s going to ask me to stop trying to scare him off.

“I’m a serial killer.” I say. “I’ve taken five lives.”

Michael stares at me, so I explain. I tell him about the priest when I was young, the man I led in front of a speeding car at night, the man I killed with a broken bottle, my boss, the stranger on the train platform.

Michael asks me for my pen.

I give it to him.

We smoke. And we smoke. And we smoke.

I wake up.

A Spy Story

Borges pen is a spy in an enemy territory. He checks out from the hotel Aphrodite.  He watches a bird dancing in the sky deliriously and fashionably. He rummages his wallet and finds a 5 cent coin and a Jungian mandala. A bird shits from the sky making a plop sound. He is furtive and looks backwards and forwards to see if he is being followed. Soon he arrives at the railway station and boards a train to unknown destination. The carriage is filled with sad and gloomy people. Soon he alights from the station and goes to the house of Prof. Umberto Eco who greets him cordially. The house is a labyrinth, a maze with gardens leading to nowhere. Borges Pen asks him to write in Chinese calligraphy and he offers him a postcard. He willingly does it and Borges admires the style of writing. Then they start talking about Metaphysics. Is God dead or not? God has been expunged with Nietzsche killing God. Then they discuss the occult significance of the labyrinth. The labyrinth is structure built in Greece to imprison the Minotaur. Now the labyrinth has become a world of ideas. The labyrinth is a mysterious enigma.  Their then thoughts drift James Joyce and his streams of consciousness. Then again they talk about romanticism about Shelly, Keats and Wordsworth. Romanticism is a symbolic edification, a life to live in the extremes of passion. Then they discuss Kafka and the metamorphosis and they discuss the wounded and traumatized soul of Kafka. Again they define existentialism in an adage: life is the celebration of meaning. Then they talk about T S Eliot’s Waste Land and they mention it as decadence of society. Then they discuss Dali and surrealism. What do the melting clocks symbolize? Can they be time in the streams of consciousness? What about the embryo? Does it show an oedipal conflict?  Then they discuss Rodin the Thinker. The thinker with clenched fists and frown on his face portrays the age of reason and rationality. Then to the surprise of Borges: Umberto Eco opens a drawer and takes out a revolver and says: I knew that he was a spy all along and he took is life as  a risk for the love of literature. He shoots him on the head.

Part 2 of 8: "He'd have no chance"

Yesterday, Vanessa was at Mike's doorstep. The restaurant had been crashed by some people. A break in. His responsabilety, even though it was in the middle of the day that it happened. Her lips had been tight like a straight line. Disappointed. She'd wondered what the fuck he'd been up to. How could he forget to lock up the place?

The only time she smiled was when she saw Abbie. Mike's little sister. There'd been a hidden dread there. Behind her smile she seemed scared- of what? For the kid perhaps?

They'd walked to a river. Mike told her about his brother. How he got kidnapped. Thats why Mike lost his last job, and thats why he sleeps at his current job. That is also why he struggles to make ends meet. She listens and she understands. "I've seen crazy, and this isn't it" that's what she'd said. She threw his medicine in the river after that. The proof of why he could've forgotten to lock the old restaurant. They talked about that on the way back. He appreciated it but maybe think a bit more about the environment next time as what she was littering. She laughed at this.

Nowadays she helps him with abby. One time he wanted to ask her if she could babysit abbie that day she didn't answer. He was unable to get ahold of her over the phone so he went to the policestation.

Mike walks up to the counter, a guy with an impressive mustache looks up from his papers. "Um i am looking for Vanessa shelly." Mike itches the back of his head

"And? What do you want with her?" The guy mumbles a bit grumply. "Well I'm her friend and she didnt pick up her phone all day so i just wonder if she is okay or if any of you know anything?" Mike catches himself fiddling with his hoodie. "Ah yeah well, friend? Alright, she is down in the basement doing some training." As he explains a new officer goes behind the counter. "I was headin' down there for mah lunch anyway so i could show you, but ya can't disturb 'em" he gets out of his chair and takes a box of food with him. "Great, yes alright" Mike nods and follows along.

As they walk down to the basement the walls go from wood to concrete. The noises of people talking goes over to shots being fired. The guy gives Mike a headset to protect his ears. He sits down on a chair and eats his food. Mike looks at the long shooting ground in front of him. The policepeople shoot strategically and with concideration of one another's positions. Among them Mike spots Vanessa's blond hair. How long has she been practicing like this? He'd tried to call her all day. Mike places himself so she can see her face too, her profile. Her green eyes are determined. Focused. She fires a shot. He looks at where it lands. In the middle! He looks back at her face. She fires the next. Almost in the middle. And she continues like that. Mike can't help but stare. Study how she stands, how her arms move and tense up as she fires. Sometimes she grits her teeth. Her and the other police people all unload their guns and take 30 pushups before they run back and load their guns again. Truly training. They continue with this for 30 minutes. Vanessa finally spots Mike. He is sitting in a chair now after the guy with the beard left. She grabs a towell and slings it over her shoulder, dries her face. "What are you doing here?" She mumbles in her towell. She puts it down and looks at Mike. Mike stands up. "Yeah, no you didn't answer your phone all day so I wondered what was going on"

"Hm" she nods lightely. "What did you want then?"

"Would you be able to babysit abbie? She likes you more than our aunt"

"Hahaha well i would hope that. I might have time yes" she sighs with a smile.

"Alright! Um are you hungry? I promised Abbie pizza today"

"Sure yes, pizza sounds good" she answers as if she'd forgotten hunger was a thing.

An hour later they're in Mike's drive way. Vanessa is driving behind Mike in her police car. Mike has a pizza on the seat beside him. It somehow reminds him of Freddy's how was that pizza like? Better? Worse than this one maybe? Mike looks ahead in the mirror. Vanessa stops her car behind Mike's. Mike thinks back to the shooting hall. She was so confident. As if she was lost in 'the zone'. As Mike grabs the pizza and walks out he finds himself thinking a silent prayer. May this lady never be an enemy of his.

He'd have no chance.

Abbie, Vanessa and Mike sit around the table. Abbie shows Vanessa her latest drawing and happily eats her slices of pizza. Later, in the evening, Abbie takes slices of pizza to her room to share with her 'friends'. Mike sighs and let's her go. "She is a bit of a sunshine isn't she?" Vanessa chuckles.

"Yes well, she's all yours" mike stands up and gets ready for his night shift. "Sure, than you".

Mike nods and opens the door. "And mike?"

"Hm?"

"Stay out of trouble".

"Ofcource" his breath turns to a small cloud of fog in the cold evening air. Winter was on its way. He closes the door and Vanessa heads to abbie's room.

random moment in mrs. quagmire’s life (before she was mrs. quagmire):

q’s cousin ernest recently told joan that she’s an envious person. joan has no idea why he would bring it up suddenly and randomly. besides, being envious implies joan has the desire to have possession of something she doesn’t have, like an item or a person. being envious implies joan is resentful and bitter towards the person who has what she desires to have possession of.

(”maybe you’re thinking of jealous, ernest,” said joan, taking a small bite of her blueberry muffin. “even then, you’re wrong. i’m not the jealous sorts.”)

but as joan sits down on the wet park bench, joan rethinks on what ernest said. as joan picks up the bottle of brandy besides her that jacques likes and always asked for at meetings and after dinner conversations, she thinks of ernest’s words. ernest’s truthful words that shot through joan’s heart in a way she didn’t think possible.

(”i’m not thinking of jealous, joan,” replied ernest, setting down the coffee cup. “if i thought you were the jealous type, i wouldn’t be having this conversation with you right now to avoid your ire.”)

joan thinks of the day she and jacques got to know each other better. it was their fifth mission together. the mission required them to not communicate with one another, unless it was in code. yet jacques one day talked to her. they spoke to one another not as volunteers, but as two people who bonded on the fact they weren’t hallucinating an english dub of a japanese animation about a vehicle name mach five, and its owner with a punny name.

(“the only ire you get from me is whenever you borrowed something of mine without permission,” asked joan, setting the muffin down. “speaking of borrowing, why do you need my ice axe? you don’t know how to use an ice axe. so you asking for one is quite odd.”)

since then, joan and jacques began talking to one another outside of missions. they hung out with one another, and not as volunteers. in fact, the two were supposed to hang out together today, for a belated birthday party at the agatha shelly’s bowling alley. jacques had missed out on her (and her sisters) birthday on account of a delay train due to a cow and tractor. jacques promised her they would celebrate later, on this date.

(ernest gave her an almost apologetic expression. his eyes, his smile... it’s like he was sorry for something. “i’m not at liberty to tell you. at least not now. all you need to know it’s for a mission i was told of rather recently. i’m not partaking in the mission, so i’m not asking for your ice axe for myself. i’m asking on someone’s else behalf who can’t ask you for...reasons.”)

joan never once had feelings of resentment and bitterness towards miss baudelaire and bertrand b, and r, and jacques own sister and little brother. joan doesn’t think ill to those jacques are close with. they are all wonderful, intelligent people who joan thinks only of in a positive matter of, even if she doesn’t know them as well as she could know them, or knows them far better than she would like too.

(“alright then. can i guess who? it is baudelaire? oh, it is baudelaire, isn’t it! she’s the only one that isn’t my sisters, me, and jacques who likes that particular model of ice axe! we been for friends for years now! does she still think me intimating when it comes to asking me things?”

“it’s associates. you been a volunteer long enough to know this, joan.”)

but joan can’t help feel resentful and bitter towards them right now.

as joan brings the brandy bottle to her lips, she looks upward at the grey clouds still lingering around. joan couldn’t help but hope it rains again. she wants people to think she was soak in the rain for far too long, instead of crying over something she never had to begin with.

It was a typical Sunday morning. I was woken up by the complaints of my little brother as momma shook him awake, leaving me to drag myself sluggishly out of my own bed.

I pulled on my usual Sunday dress, a light purple with little lace ruffles around the bell-shaped sleeves. Then, my Mary Janes and my typical piggy-tails were next. My favourite bows dawned the top of each one.

My family, after clambering into the crowded minivan, scrambled into the church, momma finding her friends to gossip as they stood outside, my dad finding a pew near Mr. Vince and his buddies. My brother was dropped off at the kids section and I was left alone, next to the Coopers. Again. They had been the talk of the town lately. Georgie apparently knocked up some older girl. It was insane the things people 'round here said about the Coopers because of it. I kinda felt bad.

I turn to see Sheldon. He lived a few houses down from me. I hang around his grandma's video store pretty often. Especially since Missy comes around sometimes. She's in my class with me at school and we hang out a lot. She constantly complains that I'm too much like her brother. Mainly because I watch the shows he does too. Things like Star-Trek, or StarWars. Yoda is my favourite character. Either him or Han Solo, I always liked the rebellious ones.

Missy says 'hi' but she's alot more quiet than usual. Really skittish, too. Must be the rumours that've been flying around. I smile and say 'hi', giving her a hug before I hear my momma gasp, pulling me out of the seat and away from the Coopers. I roll my eyes and follow her, unfortunately sitting across from my friends.

Sheldon's outburst surprised the church, and everyone inside it was silent for the rest of the sermon. I went home, his words curling around my head, momma's too. Everything he said made so much sense. Why did we preach about loving everyone no matter the circumstances but treat the Coopers this way?

I glanced at Momma and frowned. She was such a hypocrite. I spent the rest of that day locked up in my room, reading through my bible. It didn't make any sense to me anymore. I couldn't figure out specifically why, though. Like everything I'd known was suddenly just some story in some old book.

I had to get help. I knew just where to go, too.

I knocked on the Coopers' door. Mrs. Cooper opened it with her usual smile, eyes slightly red, either from anger or crying. I didn't want to find out.

"Is... Is Sheldon here?" I asked, cheeks pink. It must've been awkward,. showing up like this after all that happened yesterday.

"Shelly," Mrs. Cooper called through the house, "That nice girl from down the street's here to see you!"

She welcomed me inside and I was met with a begrudging Sheldon walking down the hall, a look of surprise on his face when he saw me.

"Oh, hello, Maggie." He said, monotone voice ringing through the empty living room.

"Hey, Sheldon. I uh... I need some help." I say, pulling out my bible, "With this. I thought about what you said on Sunday. And I think you have a point. I'm confused. And I need your... sciencey things explained to help."

His face lit up and suddenly I was whisked away to his room, filled with trains and Professor Proton posters, missing the way his mother leaned over to her husband and said,

"Oh George, he's got a friend. Maybe there still are some good people at church."

ok. Something is somewhat cemented about Mercury. I was rlly having trouble about their personality.

- Speaking of which, the flirtations are so easily reflected off of Mercury, they kind of recognized it as false from the first three meetings. (Besides, they have high standards.)

- Gets along rlly well w Bennett and Shelly. Particularly because they also adore Bug pokemon.

specific Pokemon Notes:

- Turnip the Decidueye: Starter, abnormally quiet, but hides a very Shy personality. Mercury cares for him in the efforts to not let Reborn City’s environment harm his health.

- Clementine the Cinccino: Has a torn ear via Previous Owners’ negligence. Very Sweet, and Mercury dotes on her. They do Haircare together!

- Dynamite the Ampharos: Skittish, but trying to be brave. They’re very brave about being here. They totally didn’t short circuit a building before. promise.

- Corkscrew the Sharpedo: A present from the Aqua Gang, which Mercury decided to befriend while running from Sigmund. (Didn’t help much in the end.) Very affectionate shark who adores Mercury to bits. Which includes chewing on her. Mercury is trying to train him out of it.

- Lula the Kricketune: Picked up via Shelly’s request, but enjoys battling the least. Usually just a set upper. Mercury is fine with this, and just enjoys studying her. He brings her out to Calm Shelly if she gets too anxious.

In terms of battle skills, Mercury is just a bit lower than Mona, which is saying a lot.

the man in the red suit stopped shaking/vibrating, said “lets rock”, and started rubbing his hands together which seems to be making this high-pitches ringing sound like when you wet your finger and trace it around the rim of a glass

i love the choice of having them talk in reverse as well as their blocking. it makes it so much more unsettling

laura looks at coop knowingly and touches the side of her nose, which is known as a sign of secrecy or conspiracy. i wonder what she’s referring to with that? 

something floats by the curtains in the background of the red room. i guess they’re covering windows of some sorts 

the little man tells coop that “the gum you like is going to come back in style.” then turns to laura and says “she’s my cousin. but doesn’t she look almost exactly like laura palmer?”

when he asked ‘not-laura’ if she was laura palmer, she replied with “i feel like i know her, but sometimes my arms bend back.”

laura helped norma with the “meals on wheels program” that laura helped organize. she really does seem like such a golden child

There really isn’t enough talk about Toad’s Adventure being an amazing fucking episode for James as a character so here we go I’m doing it.

“Thank you very much, sir!” “Call me James.”

This is so fucking important- This whole time Toad acts like he’s a second class citizen, some simple sidekick. Toad calls everyone Mister and sir to be subservient, putting them on a level above himself. But James levels with him, insisting on him just calling him James. He doesn’t want his ego stroked this time. THAT’S SO CUTE WHAT!?

“Actually Oliver, I think you should ask Toad about the adventure he had today.”

Even more important than that, James shows profound empathy here. Toad never had to tell him that he doesn’t feel listened to, doesn’t get to have his own story to tell. He picked it up on his own, especially after the way he treated him himself. And here’s the fucking kicker. James leaves right after to let TOAD tell the story without him. Not only does he relinquish any and all claim of the spotlight he might have had, but he also gives up control of the narrative. He can’t make himself look good, can’t hide his mistakes. He willingly gives up ‘looking good’ and embraces most likely being painted as the party at fault. None of that matters to him- he wanted Toad to have his moment in the sun. Because HE was the hero of this story, not him. It’s so fucking profound and wonderful, and speaks volumes of James as a character. More than just praising Toad for his work, he stands up for him and encourages him to have his MomentTM. That’s so fucking good. He’s a GOOD BOY. And more empathetic than people give him credit for. He has a big heart.

Other than that, it was just a really good episode! James and Toad were super funny, and I’m weak for James taking the hill at a dead out run. Very cool very impressive what a noble powerful creature. :]

James very clearly still sure it was his fault regardless of what Toad said and WOW does he feel bad about it. He’s not used to not getting chewed out when he fucks up. ^^^^^^^^

Stan is “the boy next door” trope and that is one of the millions of reasons he hates living on the farm

SPECIFICALLY: because it makes him the stereotypical redneck that lives in a small town and happens to live on a farm.

Wendy is the one who introduced him to the trope in the first place because she was "the girl next door and my boyfriend is the boy next door!!"

He wasn't really big on books and took Wendy literally hence moving away from Wendy totally convinced him they were over.

He cried about it until Wendy showed up for game night (board games) and she was gushing about the boy next door moving "fit perfectly" for their relationship.

Then they broke up over a game of monopoly (they usually get back together over the weekend)

Shelly found out about his hidden alcohol and then immediately showed him her stash. She still threatened to snitch because he was too young to be drinking.

Randy's middle initial is S, I like to believe that his middle name is Stanley, and Stan is named after him :P

Stan’s middle name is Francis because that was Sharon's first option but Randy thought it would be hilarious if all of them had S in their names.

Eric "Theodore" Cartman makes fun of Stan for his middle name because "Fuck kind of name is Francis??"

Kyle has refused to utter his middle name to anyone. Not even Stan. Apparently it starts with a U.

The boys only know this because once when they were playing over at Kyle's house and his cousin Kyle's family came to visit and Sheila was calling for Kyle to get his cousin to join them.

Kyle didn't answer the first few times so when Shelia burst into his room and started yelling "Kyle U-" Broflovski screamed and followed her to the living room, leaving the other 3 in absolute bewilderment.

Kyle's middle name is Uziah. His parents call him that ONLY when family comes to visit because of his cousin Kyle S. or when he's in HUGE trouble.

Whenever his cousin first came to visit, he begged his mom not to call him by his middle name because

1. Cartman 2. Cartman and 3. Cartman

So Kyle 2 was settled that fateful day.

Kyle plays knight's in training with his knighted brother because he secretly thinks it's so cool.

Like he sat and read up on everything he could learn about Canadian knight's for Ike just to make their play more accurate. And he will never admit it to anyone.

Kenny's middle name is Logan. Cartman claims that his middle name is the most common name for poor people.

Kenny got his first phone (iPhone 7) from Kyle and all of his usernames use his middle name

Logang.McC1 is his main iteration and he absolutely cyberbullies anyone who interacts from the Logan Paul side of the internet

Also laughs at Cartman for getting pissed off that Kenny doesn't care if his middle name is for poor people because again, Logan Paul is living proof it isn't.

Kenny knows sign language and is fluent. He has selective mutism due to trauma (negligent parents, immortal, foster care) and uses it to talk.

Sometimes he just doesn't wanna talk and he'll just start signing and nobody knows what he said. Ironically.

Taught Butters sign language to solely shit talk Cartman with him.

Cartman swears that he can feel them talking about him, but doesn't care enough to learn to find out.

Kyle and Stan know some basic communication signs and they use it sparingly. Otherwise they'll just text him.

Kenny and Karen have a secret language that they speak to each other in.

It started whenever their parents would get drunk/high and start to fight, which scared Karen, so Kenny invented their secret language to make her laugh without drawing too much attention to them.

Kenny loves playing tea time and princesses with Karen (hence why he loves being Princess Kenny) even though they don't have all the materials

The reason the other boys don't laugh at Kenny for being into "girly" things is because Clyde made the mistake of laughing at him, after going to get him to play superhero's and 15 ish mins later in Cartman's basement Mysterion showed up and beat the actual shit out of Mosquito.

Cartman is currently attempting to convince Liane to get their house open and going for extra money to move out.

Liane told him to make a unique hot dog and maybe she would consider it.

Cartman determined to revive Cartman Burgers (R.I.P) came up with his world "famous" chili dog recipe.

Liane was mortified that Cartman even considered using chili and told him never mind.

He was pissed off for weeks.

Cartman is surprisingly good at cooking, and before his untimely demise, he used to cook for Clyde Frog.

When he isn't being a complete psychopath, Cartman streams and records on Twitch for money, using his hotdog house as guilt bait.

The only people who watch are the Boys and they all make fun of him in the chat. He always reads them out loud and cusses them out.

Cartman uploads clips of his twitch streams to TikTok, as a joke to make fun of Kyle, and they blew up.

The reason? Fat kid screaming at chat for bullying him and uses racist remarks as a comeback. Perfect gamer material.

His Twitch channel now has 1,000 subs and a dedicated subreddit.

The boys were initially jealous, but laugh whenever they find out Cartman started the subreddit.

Cartman's dream job at one point was to be a sniper.

Butters loves Kyle's afro because his parents only let him have shaved sides.

Butters hair naturally is sorta wavy so he harasses Kyle about his hair routine. Kyle told Butters he had one more time before he would karate chop the shit out of him. (Kyle ended up spilling his 35 step care routine though)

Butters and Stan both have honorary access to the girls board game club and Butters only goes to offer Stan moral support

Butters, Kyle and Stan all stay after school for football and soccer practice and he usually invites the two boys over to his house to watch Terrance and Phillip.

Butters got his nickname because his hair is the color of Butter.

JK: In preschool he brought a stick of butter for show and tell and tried to explain that it was his pet butterfly, because earlier that week his father told him the butter flies joke.

Butters joins Kenny and Karen sometimes for princesses and tea but he dresses up as a pretty ballerina.

“Hey, sis. My baby sister! You got some money on you right now? I really need some money to pay for something.” 

“No.”

“Oh, c’mon, Lily. I need some to get some movie tickets for my date.”

“With Jordan?”

“LILY, PLEASE. YOUR BROTHER REALLY NEEDS IT!”

“Call dad and get him to send money to you.”

Walking away from her brother, Dom, Lily walked to the bathroom to find Aria who told her to meet there. Lily, whose full name is Kang Nali and the younger sister of Dom Kang, had no idea why Aria wanted to meet her there because there were more locations to talk at. But whatever Aria thought to talk in secret then Lily had no objection to it.

“Hey, Aria. What do you want to talk about?” Lily asked out loud upon entering the bathroom but got her mouth covered up by Aria when she came rushing at her.

“Lower your volume. Shelly is in here and I don’t want her to know what we’re gonna talk about.”

“Mmpf mmpf mfpf?” Lily mumbled as Aria’s hand was still on her mouth which could be translated to Shelly’s in here?

“Shushhhh~~”

“Wait, I heard Lily’s voice. Lily, are you out there?” Shelly’s voice came from one of the bathroom stalls caused Aria and Lily to look at each other.

“I told you to keep it quiet when you walk in here, Lily.” Aria nagged Lily as the latter gave her a confused look before answering Shelly’s calling her.

“Yeah, I’m here.” Lily answered.

“Great, Lily. Don’t go anywhere. I need to tell you something.” Shelly responded back as the two girls outside heard her flushing down the toilet and hurrying from the inside. 

Shelly opened the door and got out with her bag in hand, stepping quickly to where Lily was standing and showed the latter what was on her phone. “You’ve gotta tell your dad what Dom has been getting on lately. I swear he doesn’t go training with all of us anymore, he goes somewhere else, skipping our routine practices.”

“Send those pictures to me; I’ll show dad about this to get more money to my bank account. Hehehe.” 

“You two are exactly the same.” Shelly uttered as she airdropped the pictures to Lily’s phone and messed her hair in the process. “Gotta go. I need to go bother someone real quick.”

She winked as Lily got what she meant and Shelly ran out of the bathroom with a smile on her face. Lily then turned back to Aria and saw that she was upset about something. “Hey, what’s wrong? You can tell me everything that bothers you.”

Aria sighed, chasing away all the bad energies surrounding her. “It’s just that Jay thinks of me as a random underclassman. Nothing more than that.��

“I’ll ask my brother what Jay thinks of you, Aria. I’m sure he wouldn’t think of you this way.”

“I tried everything to get his attention but his attention is always on the competition and Shelly. I don’t know why he wouldn’t pay attention to me even a little bit. I just want him to look at me like he looks at Shelly.” Aria cried into her arms and Lily had no other options but to console her; though she never understood the one-sided love, she felt the pain of Aria as she didn’t want her to lose herself for loving Jay when he didn’t even pay any attention to the girl at all.

Her brother was also a lovesick puppy as well; He, who had a crush on the twin sister of Minu, cried to Lily all the time about her ignoring him. He even went to sleep in her room because he said he wanted to get comfort from her. He’d been like this since they were kids, even their dad said nothing about it.

“LILY!! MY BABY SISTER!! COME AND GIVE YOUR BROTHER A HUG!” Lily heard her brother yell out to her while she was on her way with Aria back to class but she guessed her brother came looking for her or something again this time. Lily watched her brother, Dom, running up to her and jumped to hug her as she couldn’t get away from him.

“LILY!! I want you to know that I always love you and I will always protect you from any harm coming your way. Trust me, my baby sister.” As Dom said that, he brushed his face with hers which to Lily who used to it already, seemed normal but to others, it looked like a creep.

Lily had to push her brother off so that everyone wouldn’t whisper so loud around them, “You gotta stop doing this when we’re in school. These people are whispering loudly among themselves.”

As she said that, Dom looked around the hallway and saw that everyone was looking at them and some had their phones up recording them like they were animals. He walked up to them and,

“Did you get good pictures of us together? Send them to me!” Dom exclaimed as he hopped around to look at others’ phones as Lily deadpanned at her brother’s excitement over their pictures being taken.

“I can’t believe we are twins.”

Minu stood next to Lily, agreeing with what she said. “People can really tell you two apart because even though you two are twins, they would know that you are you and Dom is Dom.”

“You’re just saying the same thing.”

“Right, but people from the outside wouldn’t know that you two are twins until they see you and him with your dad.”

Lily shrugged, “I rather have people not knowing me and Dom are twins than anything.”

“What happened? What’s wrong?” He asked.

“Those three idiots keep bugging me to ask Dom to let them into The Hummingbird Crew. I told them to talk with Dom themselves but they kept bugging me until I exploded on them last week.”

“Please, Lily. Tell your brother to let us in too. We’re also good at cycling as well. We can do what they are doing too.” One of the three kids in her class begged her after they found her walking home with Jordan from the usual hangout with him. And they had to stop her as she wanted to go home and sleep the entire day off but these three kids had to run up to her and almost knocked her to the other side when they couldn’t stop running to her.

“What do you want? Also, did you just stalk me so that you can come and tell me to talk to my brother?”

“Not that kind of stalking. We just happened to find you here and…”

“And what? Why don’t you go and talk with him alone and not get me involved in this? WHY ARE YOU BEING A COWARD AND NOT GO TO HIM YOURSELF? I’M FUCKING TIRED OF LISTENING TO YOU BEGGING ME ALL THE FUCKING TIME WHEN YOU SHOULD’VE USED ALL THOSE TIMES TO GO TALK TO DOM!!?!”

The three guys stepped away as Lily pushed them out of the way and Jordan almost jumped to bite them but she pulled him off and went home, being so angry about it.

“You’re going home alone again, Lily?” Dom asked her as he was waiting by his bike with his friends ready to go train. He wanted to see his baby sister get out of school so that he could go train with a relaxed mind. 

“Yeah. You go and train now after I told Dad about it?” She smirked as Dom’s face turned sour after being scolded by his dad through the phone during his break time.

He laid his hand on Lily’s shoulder, “You know you don’t have to tell Dad what I did or didn’t do, Lily.”

“But I got money out of this, anyway. So, no.”

“WHAT?!?”

“Anyway, I have to go now. See ya at home, big brother!” Lily made a big heart over her head and hopped off the school ground, walking the opposite way to somewhere.

“WAIT!! WHAT!! DID YOU JUST SAY YOU MAKE MONEY OUT OF SNITCHING TO DAD!? LILY!! KANG NALI!!”

“Dom, calm down.” Minu and June tried to calm the guy down and it seemed to be ineffective.

“CALM DOWN!? HOW AM I CALMING DOWN WHEN MY TWIN SISTER SNITCHED ON ME TO GET SOME MONEY?!? KANG NALI, YOU COME BACK HERE!”

She heard her brother yell out as she hopped around excitedly. With the money that her dad sent to her this afternoon, she had the opportunity to go somewhere and buy something for someone she liked. It was laughable to see that the daughter of a gang leader had a crush on someone that could be considered to be an enemy to the gang because he beat up her brother. 

And if Dom were to know about her crush on the person who had a fight with him, he wouldn’t stay still and would cause something between the two of them. It was only a matter of time until Dom would find out about his baby sister’s immense feeling for the underground fighter. 

Lily walked close to where she would see the guy and his team hanging around and as she turned the corner at the convenient store, she finally saw them, especially the guy that she had a huge crush on.

“Hey! Where have you been off this whole day?” Lily asked as she walked up to them, seeing that Wooin gave half of the money to Joker and the latter counted the money. She then walked closer to stand next to Joker who hadn’t noticed her yet.

“Oh, Lily. Didn’t see ya there, princess.” Wooin uttered as he gazed at Lily with the usual smile on his face, pulling a candy out from his pocket to give to her. She accepted it because the only thing that could actually connect her and Wooin together other than the adrenaline rush was candies. It was the thing that tied them to tolerate each other.

Wooin continued, “School's done for today?”

“Yeah, what about you guys? Done with your errands?”

This remark made Wooin smirked at Lily; it’s becoming clearer to him that she knew what he and his team were doing. It had become apparent for him to start getting really, really close to her so that he could get a job with her dad. 

He had a purpose and by engaging with the daughter of a gang leader would benefit him in the long term. He then had his arm around Lily’s shoulder, getting real close to her when she wasn’t really paying much attention to him but to only Joker. “So, your dad…Does he need any errand completed for him?”

“No, all the errands are being done by his gang. I don’t think he needs your help but thanks for asking, Wooin.”

“I’m going home.” Joker uttered as he turned back, not even looking or speaking to Lily once.

Lily saw this and became quite sad that he didn’t pay much attention to her. And while Lily was feeling sad about it, Wooin exclaimed to Joker, “Dude, we’re going to some barbecue and you decided to dip out?”

“I gotta make food for my younger brothers.”

Without saying anything else, he walked off to his house probably as Lily watched him walking away without saying anything to her. She felt all kinds of emotions right now and Wooin cursed under his breath but she didn’t really care about him; her crush wasn’t him, Joker was her crush.

“I’m going home too.” Lily uttered as she walked away from Wooin when he was quick to grab her wrist.

“Hold on, you’re not going home so fast.” He said, pulling the money out of his pocket. “We’re going to barbecue together.”

“You want to get with Joker so bad, don’t you?” Wooin asked, sipping on his coke while his hands were busy with grilling the meat.

“How do you know?”

“Everyone knows among us, even Joker knows that himself.” 

Lily, after hearing that, accidentally swallowed water into the wrong hole which caused her to cough until she got a red face. “What?!”

“You thought he wouldn’t get the hint, didn’t you? The tall idiot sees and hears everything; it’s just that he doesn’t talk that much. He keeps a lot to himself so if he were to talk about you crushing on him, that would be just a dream.”

“Oh god…How am I going to face him now?”

Wooin chuckled, “Just let it go with the flow. Everything will be fine.”

“How would you know that?”

Without saying anything else, Wooin just smirked as he plopped a piece of meat into his mouth.

“Dad, listen to me. Lily didn’t mean what she said when she told you about me not training with the team. She’s obviously lying to get money out of you.” Dom tried to talk to their dad as they were having their dinner together after not having one for a very long time. Pulling all types of faces to convince their dad, Dom kinda gave up along the way because it looked like their dad was really paying much attention to the subject.

“Lily, you’re not having a second?” Their dad asked.

She shook her head, “No, I’m full. Thanks, Dad.” She then turned to face Dom and made a mocking expression, “Enjoy your dinner with Dad, big brother!” and hopped to her bedroom excitedly.

As Lily finally arrived at her bedroom, she immediately locked the door as she didn’t want Dom to come in and sleep in her room again this time. She had something to say to Joker and she didn’t want her brother to know about this or he might go and finish his business with Joker. After all, no brothers would want their sisters to date someone whom they had issues with. Especially guys like Joker who Dom tried to warn Lily a lot.

She grabbed her phone and immediately went to text Joker whom she was fortunate enough to get directly from. She wanted to know if he did know about her crushing on him. She needed to hear it from him instead and not from Wooin who could be saying anything because he wanted to tease her about this.

Hi! I’m not bothering you right now, am I?

Yeah, Joker wasn’t the type to text someone back. He was more keen on talking instead of texting. She knew that but she didn’t want other ears to hear what she was going to say anyway.

Sorry, didn’t mean to bother you. Good night.

Uhh, stupid Lily! Why would you go and text him when you know he won’t answer back? Lily cursed herself as she put down her phone and slipped herself under the cover. She was shaken inside as the consequence of her action finally caught up to her. Why would she go and text Joker? What, trying to get him to tell her that he knows she was having a crush on him?

This was so stupid; why would you do that, Lily Kang?!!

[Insert phone’s ringtone here]

Lily turned to her side and picked the phone up and widened her eyes before getting up and clearing her throat. She swiped to answer and put the phone close to her ears.

“Hello, Joker.”

“Sorry, I was busy putting my brothers to sleep. What do you want to talk about?” His voice was very enticing; it could literally put her to sleep if he continued to talk like this on the phone with her. 

Then, she came back from reality and started speaking straight to the point as she knew Joker didn’t like it if someone wasted his time by not getting to the point. “Wooin told me that you knew that I like you more than friends.”

“Hmm..”

“Did you? I mean it’s cool that you know, y’know? It’s probably whatever, anyway. You probably don’t have the time to think about getting into a relationship with anyone right now. So, hahah.” Lily rambled on and Joker just kept listening to her talking when his mouth curved up into a smile at her rambling.

“So, uhh. What are you up to now?” She changed the subject as she felt embarrassed after rambling on about her crush on him. She could feel her cheeks burning up after indirectly confessing to him on the phone and whatnot. 

“I’d like to try going on a date with you.”

“Oohh, a date.. That’s what you're up to.” She smiled before the realization started to hit her. “Wait, a date with me?!?”

“Yeah, Wooin told me to get together with you so that I could learn a thing or two from you.”

“Wait, Wooin told you to do that?” That fucking asshole, I swear I will beat his ass when I see him. Lily thought to herself as she heard Joker respond.

“Not that it was an obligation to get with you. He just threw that sentence out just for fun and I picked it up and acted on it. Besides, you were trying so hard to get my attention.”

Then she heard a small chuckle coming from him and she swore she could float to the sky. Must be god’s gift to finally hear him chuckle, even if it was just a small one, it was enough to make her heart skip a beat. But, hey, did he just take a jab at her trying to get his attention all these times?

“Hey, I did that because I wanted you to notice me. Even this evening, I stood next to you but you didn’t notice me. Only Wooin noticed me and gave me candy.” She retorted as she heard him sigh through the phone.

“Sorry about that. I was thinking about my brothers so I wasn’t paying any attention to my surroundings.”

“So, uhh. When is your next fight? I want to come and support you.” She questioned, pulling a move that her brother taught her so many times and those many times, she ignored it because it sounded so stupid to her and now look at her, she used that technique to be with Joker all the time.

“It’s two days from now. If you wanna come, I’ll tell the guys in the front to let you in.”

“Great!! I want to. Just text me the location and I’ll be at your every fight!”

“Hmm…” He hummed and before the two of them hung up, Joker had one last thing to tell her. “Lily, let’s go on a date tomorrow. I’ll pick you up at your school if you want.”

Lily genuinely smiled and uttered calmly which put his heart on a treadmill. “Alright, I’ll text you my school’s location. See you tomorrow.”

“Alright, bye. Good night.”

She smiled widely at his words, “Good night.”

Bidding each other goodnight, Joker went to bed with a smile on his face for the first time in a long time while Lily was screaming in excitement under her blanket so loud that Dom ran to check on her.

“BABY SISTER!! WHAT HAPPENS?? IS SOMEONE INSIDE OF YOUR ROOM AND TRYING TO ATTACK YOU?”

Lily heard that outside of her room and then Dom shouted for someone to get a spare key from Dad’s room. “Get me the spare key; My baby sister is getting attacked!!” 

“STAY AWAY FROM MY ROOM!! I’M DOING OK AND THERE’S NO ONE IN HERE WITH ME!!”

“GET ME THE FUCKING KEY!!”

“STAY AWAY!!!!”

As on Joker’s side, he was still looking at his screen that showed Lily’s number. If it was one thing that got him to be able to smile even if it was just a small one, it was Lily and it was enough to get him to smile. For someone like him who was considered the freak and the money-chasing asshole, he never thought to have someone like him and bypass all of his negative traits. And for someone like Lily who was a level higher than him, he felt like he was blessed to have her like him. 

As for the date thing, of course, Wooin told him to get close to Lily and date her but Joker didn’t do that because he wanted something benefiting them. He really wanted to have a relationship and Lily was the one that he wanted to get with. Maybe he could try to learn how to read people’s moods from Lily.

“Date Lily and maybe you could get her to tell her brother that you want to have a talk with him.” Wooin uttered as he stood next to the tall guy, looking elsewhere.

“Her brother’s Dom?”

“Yeah and they’re twins. Everytime you look at Lily’s face, you would see her brother’s face too.”

Joker scoffed as he pushed his phone into his pocket, “Me dating her would be a real thing and not for our benefits. It’s mine.”

“Yeah, whatever you say, man. She’s gonna beat my ass when she sees me tomorrow or something. Aish, why would you say that I told you to get together with her?” 

Saying that, Wooin walked to step on one of the guys that ambushed them as Joker slightly smiled at the thought of him going to pick Lily up from school before he went on to fight some more.

Walking down the hallway with her brother’s arm around her shoulders, Lily was feeling pumped up as she was excited for the later day. It was the usual scene for students to see upon seeing the twins walking down the hallway and being super close to one another; the one thing that was quite unusual for them to see was that Lily and Dom didn’t come to school together and walk down the hallway with their arms around their shoulders. That was the only unusual thing to see the Kangs being like this.

“What’re you gonna do if your score doesn’t reflect well on your report card?” Lily asked, looking at her phone while Dom turned upset about his report card last month.

“I don’t even want to know what I’m gonna do. My dream of making music would look dark to me.”

“You just gotta have Yuna around you all the time to encourage you to learn, brother. I’m not gonna help you all the time when you don’t even want my help.”

Dom groaned, “Yeah, but what can you say about my character? I don’t want to study so…”

“Then say goodbye to your music-making career.” She stuck her tongue out at Dom and walked into their classroom, taking a seat next to each other.

“Morning, Lily!! Did you get my Kakao this morning?” Shelly came into the classroom and shouted for Lily as she waved her hand at the latter.

Lily then winked, “Do you really wanna do this, Shelly? Would he get so embarrassed to not want to come to class?”

“LILY!!”

“Kidding… Ooh, Jay.” Lily had her hand out for Jay to drop something and Jay grumbled under his breath as he took his notebook from yesterday’s lesson and gave it to Lily.

Lily got up as the bell rang across the school when her brother, Dom, asked her. “Where are you going? I thought we’re going to get something to eat with the team.”

“I’ll be back soon. I need to go somewhere.”

“Where… Lily?” Dom watched his sister walk out of the classroom, making a beeline for something.

“Where’s she going?” Minu walked to Dom’s chair, asking about Lily since they were both needed to complete an assignment with his older twin sister, Yuna.

“She wouldn’t tell me, dude. We’re just gonna have to wait for her at our usual spot.”

Lily walked down to find Aria as she had something to tell her since the last incident Aria had with Jay and Lily didn’t want Aria to feel sad that her crush on Jay wasn’t going as well as she wanted to. She needed to console the poor girl–

“Without any pain, you wouldn’t get the gain. You need to persist more. No pain, no gain.” Lily heard someone talking behind the wall to the stairs to another floor.

“Sure, I’ll keep fighting for the love I have for Jay.” Then she heard Aria’s voice so clearly and without a doubt, she ran to see Aria and saw that she was with this Owen guy who was infatuated with Shelly.

Upon seeing him, Lily groaned. “Uhh, it’s you.”

“You got a problem with me?”

“Very much indeed.”

“Well, that’s unfortunate because I don’t interact with those who aren’t in my field of interest.” Owen retorted and Lily took another jab at him.

“Neither do I but here we are.” Then Lily paid no more attention to Owen and grabbed Aria’s wrist, trying to pull her away from him. “Let’s go, Aria. You’re not gonna get any good from this guy.”

“You aren’t going anywhere with her. I still have something more with her.” Owen tried to stop Lily by grabbing Aria’s other wrist.

“With what? Encourage her to be persistent with her crushing on Jay or something else? Because I doubt you would have any good ideas.”

Owen scowled, “Did you just insult my intelligence?”

“When did I ever do that?”

“They look like they are fighting for Aria. Why is Aria in the middle of them arguing? Do you get what they are talking about?”

Lily and Aria heard the students’ talking about the scene in front of them but for Lily, she didn’t give a damn about it and continued on.

“You think by pushing this phrase No pain, No gain is gonna help her when clearly everyone could see the opposite of it.”

“There’s nothing wrong with giving her the motivation to get what she wants. I want Shelly and she wants Jay.”

“You sound like an obsessed freak. You gotta stop. This isn’t good for your mental health.”

He frowned, “Me? An obsessed freak?”

“Yes, do you need Shelly to say it to you for you to realize the reality? She loves someone else and not you. Geez, this idiot.” Lily spoke Korean in the last sentence because she was frustrated with this guy.

“Did you just call me an idiot in Korean?” Owen asked her as the sentence that she pronounced made sense to him.

“Oh, you do understand that? I thought you didn’t because it seemed to me that you don’t have the brain to realize the reality.”

“You!” 

“Let’s go, Aria. You don’t need to take his words into account. Everything this guy said was just rubbish.” Lily told Aria as she was finally able to pull her out of the situation and she didn’t notice the glare from Owen. 

This guy wouldn’t hold grudges but for this girl, Lily, he held grudges against her.

After the bell finally rang as the signal for students to go home, the teacher teaching in the Hummingbird Crew’s (except Vinny) classroom still had a lot more to tell the students.

“Before you go home, I want you to fully focus on the group assignment that I put last week. Don’t forget that and the exam test will be here sooner than later so be paranoid about it.” 

After he said that, all the students groaned in their seats because when they wanted a free time to relax, the teacher had to tell them the bad news to drop that relaxing thought.

Then Dom turned to his sister with the puppy eyes he could garner, “Baby sister… Help me with the upcoming exam.”

Without looking at him, Lily denied. “No.”

“Oh, c’mon. I’ll pay you 150,000 won an hour.”

“200,000 won an hour.”

“That’s a deal.” Dom then grabbed his sister’s hand and shook it to seal the deal. 

That was also the usual sibling’s interaction, using money as a way to make a deal with the closest people. People started to get used to that already.

Then she suddenly stood up as the excitement of going out on a date with her crush bubbled up inside of her so Lily went out of the classroom in a hurry while her brother and her friends were shouting for her but she paid no heed to it and ran for the front gate.

Dom and his friends, on the other hand, went to the window and tried to find Lily among the students who got out of school and finally saw Lily rushing to the outside of the school gate with a huge smile on her face which got Dom to be curious about it. 

“What made her smile like that?”

Then Shelly went to the window, standing near him. “Maybe she finally got a boyfriend?”

“WHAT?!?”

“I mean it can be possible. Seeing how her smile stretches itself almost to her ears could mean several things and one of them is her boyfriend.”

“If my baby sister has a boyfriend, she would tell dad and me and not keep it a secret to herself, Shelly. I know my sister well.” Dom uttered as his eyes landed on Lily who unconsciously looked over to the window of her classroom and they both met eyes until Dom saw that his sister was sticking her tongue out at him.

“Why,,,she,,. This girl! I’m coming down to beat your ass, Lily!!” He shouted as soon as his hand unlatched the lock on the window and scared the hell out of the students who walked through the gate.

“Dom, no!” Shelly and Minu each grabbed Dom’s arms while Jay was ready with his book swinging at Dom.

It was like a miracle for Jay to join in with the shenanigans with the team so whenever Dom tried to stop Lily from doing anything, the gang was ready to stop him at all costs.

Lily went to the corner of the school as she saw a tall figure out of the normal height of all students there so she ran up to the guy that she always had her eyes on. The moment was very monumental for her so the fact that Joker picked her up from school to go on a date with him was like a dream come true for Lily. She had achieved one of her ultimate goals; now she has got to hide this thing from her brother especially because she didn’t think he would appreciate seeing his sister dating the enemy(?).

When she finally arrived at the place where Joker waited for her, it was behind a big tree at the corner of the school wall and this spot was the best to hide from her brother’s eagle eyes. Didn’t want him to see who she’s going with.

“Hi!” She exclaimed as the moment had finally arrived. “Shall we go now?”

Joker waved his hand, nodding and offering to hold Lily’s hand. “Sure. I found a place that would suit your taste.”
