@desertforged gets a starter from Sheik!
There was something almost comforting about the thought that outcasts would always be drawn to other outcasts. They ones who were the most alone, they were the ones with no family and no home, but there was still always hope as long as they stumbled onto one another.
Unfortunately, this was perhaps the last person that this particular outcast would have ever wanted to run across.
Shi recognized Ganondorf. He could have lived ten thousand more years and would have still been able to recognize him, even if the man had become twisted and mutated and a husk of who he had once been. No disguise or wardrobe change would hide him from crimson eyes that had been waiting far too long for a moment like this. It felt almost like an endless well of pure hatred twisted in his stomach at the sight of him, and he found one hand moving to a dagger on his belt beneath his cloak almost without thought.
He had done so much to hurt everyone. He didn't deserve to live.
What stayed his hand was the fact that this man was not just the monster who had tormented Hyrule, and he wasn't just another reincarnation of the man who had tormented him.
It was raining, and most people around the stable had taken shelter inside. All, except for Shi and that man. If he didn't know any better, Shi would have almost described the way he was acting as... tense. Maybe even fearful.
"Most people come inside to stay out of the rain." His voice was surprisingly even despite the whirlwind of emotions inside. Shi released the hilt of the dagger, choosing instead to take a few steps closer as he smiled. "There's plenty of room in the stable. They never mind people waiting there during bad weather."

how old is sheik during your comic?
if you mean during the multipage comic, i think sheik is maybe like 16-17ish at the time? for the whole au, which spans the latter ~4 years of the timeskip, i’d estimate sheik goes from being around 15 to 19 (maybe 20) years old for the whole duration? although i’m disorganized and still not 100% sure of when different events take place at what time, so idk if i’ll end up having to shift anything around later lol :’-D
#ask#txt#sheik#undercover sheik au#more concise version might be sheik is in his Underdeveloped Frontal Lobe Era#while trying to figure out how 2 be the wisest person in the room at any given time#which is. a lot of pressure to put on oneself asgfkhakfjajfkskx

Happy 26th Anniversary, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Today is the 26th Anniversary for...
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!
This game was the debut of
Ganondorf, the King of the Gerudos,
Sheik, Zelda's Sheikah alter-ego,
and the Six Sages of Hyrule. Rauru, Darunia of the Goron, Saria, Impa, Princess Ruto of the Zora, and Nabooru.
This game had Link go on his adventure with Navi to save Hyrule, but to do that, he had to meet Princess Zelda to get the three Spiritual Stones,
confront Ganondorf, travel through time with the Master Sword being Young Link and Adult Link seven years later, and reawaken the Sages to assist him in defeating the King of Evil.
But after that, Zelda feeling like she's the one to blame, had to sent Link back to his own time, as Navi left completing her duty, and Link warned Child Zelda about Ganon's schemes to get the Triforce to rule the world.

He hadn't been asking to learn some secret title spoke of her greatness (though, of course, he certainly wouldn't have been opposed to learning about such a thing), but more in an attempt to see if there was a loophole. He had to address her by some form of title, and she didn't want him calling her Princess or Your Majesty, so maybe there was some middle ground. Something else. Something that still could qualify as a title to ease his own nerves while still sounding more personal to make her happy.
"Calling you the Twilight Princess doesn't sound... like something you'd be comfortable with." It felt like it would be propping her up on even more of a pedestal, and she seemed desperate to avoid that.
Shi took the clothing from her wordlessly. While what he was wearing still clung to him, he wasn't really that soaked anymore. There was no thought when he made to strip out of it, shirt and pants being folded despite their wet nature to try to make as little mess as possible before his attention went to the dry clothing. First, actually, to fully drying himself off with one of the towels she had brought prior.
He paid no attention to the fact that she could see... everything if she chose to look over at him. It wasn't like there was anything worthwhile for her to see, anyways.
The clothing was a little baggy (as would be most that anyone would be able to find for him, considering how lanky he was), but they weren't at any risk of falling off. He really couldn't ask for more.
"Hime." His voice was quiet as Shi still continued to refuse to look at her. "It's... Sheikah for Princess. Would that be... acceptable?"
She’d left the Sheikah with the towel and fireplace to help dry and keep him warm while she visited her two stops to other points of the castle. While she’d set out to secure a change of clothes for him, it would have been a waste to not see to her own needs, which was why she’d first made a detour to her own bedchamber to collect a simple kirtle for herself before making her rounds to request a pair of trousers and one of the tunics commonly worn by the guards when not on duty.
While changing when in her bedchamber would have been the simplest way to go about her tasks, she hadn’t wanted to keep Shi waiting. Instead, she’d collected both sets of spare clothes before returning to the Sheikah, barely shutting the door behind her before he’d asked his question.
A peculiar one.
He hadn’t bothered to look at her when he’d asked — hadn’t even glanced in her direction when she’d pushed through the doors. Instead, he’s kept his gaze fixed on the wall as she approached, only pausing to drape her kirtle over the back of a chair for her to collect later.
“I am afraid I am not as intriguing as my ancestor,” she answered, referring to the Princess Zelda that had lived during the Era of the Hero of Time. “People referred to her as Princess of Hyrule but also the Princess of Destiny. I suppose there may come a day where people will refer to me as the Peacemaker with Twilight, or something of the sort, but for now…” A casual shrug as she maneuvered around him.
Though no longer saturated, her hair was still wet and clung to her temples, but she brushed back a stray lock before holding out the bundle of dry clothes she’d brought back for him; she’d make it a point to braid back her hair once she herself had the opportunity to go and change.
“I heard Midna once referred to me as the Twilight Princess, either to confuse Link or remark on the fact that Hyrule had succumb to Twilight — perhaps both,” she added. “Aside from that, well…” Her voice trailed as she averted her gaze, suddenly finding the wall he’d become enamored with of equal fascination. “I have only ever been Princess Zelda…”
Because there has never been anyone else. Aside from her court and tutors or the fleeting attention from her father, there had been no one else of significance in her life — no one to call friend or companion. Not really. Until that fateful day when her life had become intertwined with Link’s and Midna’s, and eventually Shi’s, it had always been just her.

I like the general fandom trend to just take the plot of Hyrule Warriors as a loose guideline at best and just use the whole concept as a good excuse to get blorbos to interact across timelines, BUT I'm very disappointed that everyone is missing the comedic potential of a very specific squad of characters:
Young Link (aka Mask), who walks out of the nightmare of Majora's Mask and immediately gets portal kidnapped into a temporal war, takes one look at the whole mess and decides that you could not fucking pay him to admit to being the resident expert on Time Shenanigans. He introduces himself with the title of Hero of Termina, and definitely doesn't have any other ones, that would be crazy. Hero of Time? Never heard of him.
Tetra, who is a kickass pirate captain with zero patience for people trying to shove her into the Designated Princess role, and realizes immediately that Oh Fuck, this Hyrule has a lot of Ideas about how the Hero and the Princess are supposed to properly play their parts, the second they realize she's technically a Zelda they're gonna shove her in a goddamn dress and damsel her again, that's not happening. So she's definitely just a really cool pirate captain, nothing else going on here at all, definitely not the heir of the Hylian royal family in her time, that'd be crazy.
Ravio, who is literally just a palette swapped Link, meaning that the second his hood comes off, things are gonna get Awkward. There's no way in hell he's dealing with all that Hero baggage, that's Link work, so that giant bunny hood/mask is practically superglued to his head, and he's not taking it off for love or money.
Spirit Tracks Zelda, who is just in the Phantom Armour the whole time, and passing herself off as just a friendly ghost posessing a suit of armour to help the Hero of Spirits. Of course she isn't Princess Zelda, that's ridiculous, if she were a Zelda then people would start getting really weird about her technically being dead, and boy does that ever sound like a whole Thing she doesn't want to deal with, so she can't possibly be Zelda, she's just a nice ghost knight. Also, her teenage grandma is here, and that's kinda weird, so it's easier to just not admit to being royalty and avoid that awkward conversation.
Finally there's Sheik, who is not the Princess Zelda of the era straight up abandoning her war torn country for months at a time so she can risk her life in extreme cosplay for no clear reason, but is instead the actual Sheik from Ocarina of Time, who just beat Ganondorf like a month ago and is still trying to process what the fuck to do now. Also, he's been pretending to be a boy since he was ten, and is realizing there's a pretty good chance that he isn't pretending anymore, so that's a whole other can of worms. But for the last seven years of his life, being Princess Zelda meant certain death, so he's not really inclined to introduce himself like when in a new and stressful situation (not to mention he might actually just not be a girl named Zelda anymore), so he automatically introduces himself as just Sheik the spooky ninja man, and fuck he's in too deep to back out now, looks like he's committing to the bit. If you think you sense the Triforce of Wisdom on him, no you don't.
Cue shenanigans as the five of them attempt to hide that they're all actually kind of A Big Deal. The group motto is "Nobody says shit", which is usually delivered as a frantic hiss whenever someone slips up. Just the reunion between Sheik and Mask alone would be absolutely buckwild given how they parted, and how they're both frantically pretending to Not be involved with each other. For added hilarity and/or drama, Sheik gives his semi-bullshit cover story of having just been a friend of the Hero of Time, then runs into said Hero of Time and they both have to desperately pretend not to know each other, because if anyone picks up on the mountain of baggage between them then Mask is busted, and he won't hesitate to drag Sheik down with him out of sheer spite. Not to mention the weird balance of Sheik being used to this Link being a teenager that's actually a small child, and now has to adjust to Link who is a small child that's actually a teenager.
Also, i really feel like we're all missing out on the comedy potential of Ganondorf recognizing Young Link on sight and the two of them immediately launching into a grudge match with some extremely personal and specific insults on both sides. Meanwhile literally everybody else is just standing there watching, trying to process the fact that out of every single person that's been pulled out of time, Ganondorf only has personal beef with a literal nine year old.
I just feel like we're all really sleeping on the potential for Shenanigans here. The whole thing is an absurd mess, why not have some fun with it?
#legend of zelda#hyrule warriors#for the record im picturing the sheik-mask reunion as being the spiderman pointing meme for like five minutes#also my mental image of sheik is extremely Bad haircut (he does it himself with a knife and doesnt care about making it even)#and a ridiculous tanline across his face from wearing a mask all day#OOT magiaclly growing out zelda's hair and manifesting a Royal Gown was some top tier bullshit and i'm always angry about it#like dude. literally all of princess zelda's finery was made for a ten year old#she's like eighteen now. nobody's making royal finery for teenage zelda. where was she supposed to get that dress.#i am eternally on my agenda to let zelda wear some goddamn pants without an immediate magic makeover to *fix* it#anyways nintendo's sexism aside i like sheik being trans its very fun and sexy of him#tfw you go into hiding to escape political assassination and accidentally trans your gender in the process

Warriors is Hyrule's successor and Artemis is Hyrule's granddaughter!
So I've been doing some thinking, and I've come to believe that after all the blood, sweat, and tears Hyrule shed for his country, the end result is the prosperous kingdom we see in Hyrule Warriors! And that Artemis is his granddaughter!

I think we have strong evidence for it as well! During Hyrule's second adventure, he reads from a scroll that only a "Great King" could. Zelda II legendary difficulty could be seen, in-universe, as a trial of Hyrule's worthiness to receive Kingship. Which the Downfall Era desperately needs after its Prince was corrupted and his sister cursed.
Through his skill and refusal to give up, Hyrule triumphs over both the monsters and the dark side of his own soul. And he retrieves the Triforce of Courage needed to awaken Aurora (the Sleeping Princess of AoL).
Judging from the kiss she gave him at the end, I'd say she's rather smittened!

(Art by Kikker-Oma for me from Fan Joy July, used with her permission- isn't she great!)
With the Triforce in one hand, his Fae-blood in the other, and Aurora at his side, Hyrule brings his kingdom out of the Downfall and into a new golden age with his power and street smarts. He is called the Fae-King and the Traveling King because he rarely stays in one castle to long -he loves traveling to much, and uses it to help expand Hyrule while Aurora minds court and their kids. She's called the Gentle Queen for bring back the old culture. Hyrule's Fae blood is why faeries are such allies in Warriors Era, in remembrance of their brother.

But of course, evil is lingering. Remember Ganon floating spirit fragments, and how they were locked under heavy duty chains all through out Hyrule Warriors? I'll bet that was Hyrule's attempt to beat his blood curse (TM), and that upon his death, he ordered his body to be split apart and lain to rest in separate locations.
Needless to say, Aurora didn't help with this, she couldn't take it. But she managed the seal to buy time...
Until their granddaughter came of age.

Art belongs to @linkeduniverse
I can't be the only one who thinks Artemis seems a little more...Fae-like than Goddess in Hyrule Warriors. She's wild, bold, hands-on and leads from the front, and has STRONG magic. I like to think a great deal of that comes from her grandfather. Maybe her parents died young, so Artemis was raised by Hyrule and Aurora, who adored her and taught her everything they knew. Aurora taught her music magic, ancient history and legends (and fashion, cause that didn't come from Hyrule). Hyrule taught her battle magic, fencing, and survival skills that come in handy when she's disguised as Sheik (he also taught her his thunder spell). That's how she can do Hyrule's sword beams with her kunai in the game. His pet name for her was "Little Fairy." She adored them right back.
It would be rather poetic, if the granddaughter of the most passive Zelda (but still interesting and one of my favorite!) ends up the most active.

When Artemis saw that Ganon's forces had defiled her grandfather's resting places to retrieve his spirit fragments she was inconsolable...and FURIOUS. She loved her grandparents and vows that evil will not destroy all they suffered and bled to build. She will defend their legacy will all the magic and will power she has. Fortunately, she has her own Hero to help her seal evil right back where it belongs.

*slowly appears*
I FOUND YOU!! (I read ur Fics on ao3 and had no clue u had a tumblr so u have no idea how happy I am :3!)
also,
If ur still in a talking or yapping or whatever kinda mood do you have any headcannons or something on Mask/Time, Tune/Wind, and Link/Wars?
*slowly fades away because this took way to much time to hit the ask button*
HELLO!! HI :3
im definitely in a yapping mood today!!
- Tune/Wind and Mask/Time have created so many little paradoxes as jokes and Warriors is completely oblivious to it. It’s just little inside jokes they have with each other that the other person doesn’t find funny until the second time they meet. One of them is always confused and the other one is always in on a hilarious little secret
- Time has hypermobile joints because of how often he transformed his body with the masks when he was younger, and it’s not uncommon for something to get popped out of place for him, and this has been effecting him since just before the War of Eras
- Wind is allergic to peanuts
- Warriors one time burnt a meal so fucking badly that the chain refused to let him forget about it and when Tune ran into him in the war he was physically incapable of not mentioning it (in a way that wouldn’t reveal he’d already met the captain)
- Time has a slight stutter that used to be significantly worse when he was much younger, and that’s part of why he signed so much as a kid. Warriors on the other hand didn’t want to be perceived as anything other than a Castle Town native and until he got the accent down perfectly, had Proxi speak for him. He didn’t need all of hyrule to know he was just some guy from some random ass village, they hated him enough already
- It was very hard for Tune to adjust to the younger version of Wars after seeing how much genuinely happier he’ll become. Like it actually broke his heart to see him that depressed, he didn’t know what to do with himself
- Wars’s Zelda literally lets Mask get away with whatever the fuck because they got super super close when she had to hide herself as Sheik since Mask knew it was her, and this has translated to Time being able to pull “not to worry, i have a permit” type shit with zero consequences

Shi shook his head. "The curse was broken. Zelda made sure of it." Liar, liar, that was a lie. Even Zelda's magic was helpless in the face of the wrath of the Goddess of Shadows. Her light couldn't reach him, couldn't save him.
But it wasn't a lie. Zelda had allowed Shi to take Sheik to the Shadow Temple. She could have barred his way, could have acted out of a rightful sense of fear and worry that doing so would only cause more harm to the damaged young man. She could have insisted that they just needed to give him more time to recover, and perhaps her belief would have paid off in the end. Shi suspected it wouldn't have, but there was no way for them to ever know for sure.
Her willingness to trust in Shi had allowed him to save Sheik, and he was fine giving her credit for that decision.
"You were cursed... you just were cursed." How? The question was unexpected and he found himself caught off guard by it, left blinking as he stared at Sheik. "It was a curse - it meant something bad would happen to you." And it had! He had been captured and tortured by Ganondorf!
How am I still alive?
"You're the twin of the Princess Zelda. Even the Goddess of Shadows can't hurt you." Another lie, but it slid from his tongue easily enough. Better that than the truth. Better that than learning about just how much Shi had sacrificed to keep him alive.
"Anything else?"
It was odd to hear things he had no recollection of as his own lived events with what as ostensibly a stranger. The Shadow Temple he knew of as a concept, but if he tries to remember its all blank. Sheik knows he is Sheikah-- he knows he did horrible things in Ganondorf's name, but it's almost as if these actions were committed by two different people. He cannot reconcile that they were done by him, cause he would never want to hurt anyone.
"Cursed? How was I cursed? Is... Am I still cursed?" Sheik asked. He knew the Goddess of Shadows-- his namesake-- was not a forgiving Goddess. If he had forsaken his blood... then the fact that he still lived meant that a price was paid to even out the transgression.
A long pause followed Sheik as his brow furrowed.
"The Goddess of Shadows kills those who break their oath. How... am I still alive?"

is it true that they removed mentions of tintin journaling/actually mentioning his job/etc when they redrew some of the older tintin comics? i swear i remember seeing examples of that once but i have no clue where to find them again
I definitely know which post you're talking about, but I can't find it either. I'll try to compile what I remember and/or know about offhand...
For the most part, the most references to Tintin being a reporter come early on in what are considered the "newsprint editions" of the comics. The first nine albums were serialized in Le Petit Vingtieme and Le Soir Jeunesse, and these pages were later re-collected and coloured (and occasionally cut down/rewritten) for what are now known as the "Casterman editions".
Tintin being a reporter is all over Land of the Soviets, and it's introduced as early as page 1. It's the silliest album, but it's also the only album thoroughly revolving around Tintin going on a reporting assignment.
(Soviets pg. 4. By God, look at that guard in the upper right. He looks like the RESPECT! butler)
Tintin is still a reporter in Congo, but it's scaled far back in the redrawn Casterman edition. In the latter, it's kept to one mention in the very first panel, which was also turned into the first appearance of Dupont and Dupond:

(Congo pgs. 1)
Meanwhile, the newsprint edition has a scene where newspaper agents try to scout Tintin as a reporter, I guess because his stories are just that good. He ultimately declines, claiming Petit Vingtieme is paying him way more than what they offer.
(Congo pg. 17)
Now, I'd had a theory that the series just became too plot-focused to keep pausing for references to Tintin's writing, but Reddit user XenophonOfAthens made a good point about Herge being forced to pause discussion of the press and current events after the nazis shut down Le Vingtieme, thus moving Hergé and many of the same staff to the nazi-overseen Le Soir and Le Soir Jeunesse. Tintin had been introduced as Le Petit Vingtieme's boy reporter who child readers could follow along with, but now with a new (heavily monitored) publication, mentions of the "boy reporter" slowly phased out.
One of the more significant edits to Tintin's reporting comes in Cigars of the Pharaoh. Sheik Patrash Pasha originally says he's followed Tintin's adventures for "several years" and presents a then-new Vingtieme publishing of Tintin in America.
In the colour edition, he instead presents Destination Moon. This album was in production at the time of the redraws, and it was one of the first albums to be published outside of Europe...but now Tintin's reaction is especially visceral, since that album involves him going to the moon with two people he hasn't met yet.
(Cigars B&W pg. 39, Casterman pg. 15. I also gave the Sheik's servant in the latter a quick edit because it was somehow worse than the 1933 version)
The last reference to Tintin's reporting for a long while was in The Broken Ear. We are now in the Soir era:

(Broken Ear pgs. 2)
This line never made it past the newsprint version. Tintin hears the news about the museum theft, and originally, he remarks that it'll make for a nice report...but in the reprint, he's just declaring that he'll go to the museum. I feel like the wording in the original could have referred to something specific about the comic's run in Le Soir Jeunesse, but it also could have been removed under the assumption that the reader would be going into this book knowing Tintin is a reporter. He does have a notepad with him through the rest of the page, but without that context, he just seems like a busybody.
I feel like there were a lot more references to his reporting in Le Journal Tintin, which is where the comic moved its publication to. This adds credence to the possibility that readers would be picking up these books knowing Tintin was a reporter, thus it being less of a focus within each album's plot. There do seem to be little hints throughout the albums about Tintin being a reporter...one of these is a moment in Explorers on the Moon where Tintin describes the moon's surface to ground control, and as a writer myself, this to me feels like him gathering his words for a future story:

(Explorers pg. 24)
However, Tintin's reporting is brought up in an album one more time, decades later, in Picaros. Tintin is referred to as a reporter on televised news, so this is at least some confirmation that he does submit journalist work, at least off-camera or between albums:

(pg. 47)
In short, Tintin's reporting started to fade off suspiciously during an era where nazis were breathing down Hergé's neck, then got a little lost in translation, and then ultimately came back.
My theory for Tintin's reporting slowly becoming less important in the albums happened either due to 1. Hergé and co. becoming more interested in writing about other things, 2. the series being moved to a vanity publication that discussed Tintin being a reporter outside of the canon comics, or 3. it got phased out during the Le Soir era because Hergé's supervisors didn't want to promote a gonzo journalist as a hero during a time with heavy political censorship and turmoil. It's completely up in the air.

@sapientiiae asked: Some nights I lay in bed and imagine what I'd be doing if you were with me. (Shi from Time Zel)
He heard her talking behind him, and Shi did not have to look back to see her lying there in bed. His bed, their bed, the only bed in this tiny excuse of an inn. It would be beyond easy for her to make his life hell; all she would have to do was open her mouth and scream, and what defense could he offer when anyone ran in to check on them?
No, this woman who looks identical to and claims to be the missing Princess Zelda is not her, and no I did not kidnap her. It wouldn't be long before whatever excuse for guards would be called - he knew he'd be able to grab her and flee before either of them were taken into custody, but it would be an annoyance he would rather be spared.
Despite being at first confused, and then angry at being taken by him, she hadn't made any attempt to try to make his current... goal? task? more difficult. She had simply accepted it, choosing the route of being verbally quippy while quietly going along with him.
And this was another-
"I'm sure you have spent many hours imagining that." He knew better than to turn and face her, well aware that she was likely wearing nothing in her further attempts to distract him from his goals. Get her out of Hyrule, and then... what? He didn't want to keep her forever. She'd have to go back to being Princess. And when that happened, she would have to marry. And as long as he continued to deny their relationship...
He sat, arms crossed and gaze focused out the small window in their room. The moon was waning, little more than a sliver that cut across the sky.
"And I'm certain you would have made your time palatable with your husband-to-be by imagining me in his place as well."

"Babysitting-" Which isn't really what Shi would call it, but if that was how Feyre wanted to view it then who was he to disappoint her? "-is always far more pleasant if there is some conversation. And the time passes by much faster. I would have thought you'd want to be able to reach a point to where you can force me to leave."
She didn't have to be painting. As far as he was aware (and, admittedly, Shi knew there was much he was unaware of when it came to the intricacies of her life), there wasn't anything she was supposed to be doing in this moment. It left him wondering why she needed someone to be looking after her in the first place, but that felt like something a bit too much for him to question, especially when he would still be in need of a place to stay. This world was not Hyrule, and while there would always be work available for someone good with stealth and a blade, it was always best to not rock the boat when you were still the stranger in town.
It was far too easy to inadvertently paint a target on your back... and who would be there to defend him if that happened?
Despite it not being something required of her in this moment, still Feyre sat there with her paints and a blank canvas and nothing to show for her efforts. She looked miserable, and it was hard to tell if her felt she was being a bit pathetic or if he felt bad for her.
"If you cannot paint, perhaps we could reverse roles. You could sit for me and I could try to paint you." And she would learn rather quickly that he lacked any and all artistic skills.
@hyruleanlegends asked: ❛ fine, keep acting like you hate me. ❜ an assortment of dialogue prompts
“If you think this is my way of displaying hatred, you are sorely mistaken,” she muttered, glaring at the canvas and palette of paint that sat before her. Despite the months that had passed since their return to the Spring Court from Under the Mountain, she still couldn’t stomach the idea of painting; a hobby that once brought her passion seemed so useless now.
Conveniently, the palette was missing any shade of red, despite the fact it was likely to appear in any image that came to mind.
Not that she liked to dwell on images these days, as too many undesirable ones typically appeared despite her attempts to think of better days. She hadn’t even wanted to paint — much to Tamlin’s disappointment after he’d been so kind as to purchase new supplies for her. Still, pretending to paint (she was doing a poor job considering she’d done little more than sit in front of an empty canvas) had been preferred to having to force a conversation with Shi.
“Tamlin is paying you to look after me when he is not around and Ianthe is away. I didn’t realize babysitting me required us to carry a conversation.” The words are laced with an edge of bitterness, even though she knew she was being a bit unfair. It wasn’t his fault he’d been assigned this job — from what she’d learned, he wasn’t even a regular member of Tamlin’s court. Given the way the members of the Spring Court had dwindled since Amarantha’s appearance in Prythian, she supposed Tamlin had been desperate.
And he’d conveniently found someone that happened to be desperate enough for a job and possessed more than a handful of irritating skills.
“Would you even care if I really did hate you?”

A Work In Progress For My Hyrule Warriors x Linked Universe Fanfic (Character List) :)
Lemme know what you think, and put your thoughts below! Basically, all the heroes were dropped off in the middle of Warriors' era for their first meeting. Who will they trust? And how much blood will be spilled?
“Heroes”
Warriors- The general of the Hyrule troops. He is also the first to meet with all the new Links brought by Hylia.
Mask(Time)- The first Link that appeared in the war. He stays in his child form except in dire situations.
Tune(Wind)- The second Link to appear, joining with Tetra. The two of them will take a bit to adjust to solid ground and not endless waves.
Spirit (Toon Link)- Appeared soon after Tune with Phantom. All four know they’re relatives, but keep it on the down low. For now, both Tune and Spirit are around the same age.
Sky- Fi personally introduced Sky to the rest of the heroes, having vanished in the middle of the night once she sensed his presence. Sky suffers from breathing problems and is mostly kept on the backlines as a last resort.
Artemis/Sheik- The ruler over Hyrule, and is regarded as the main general (with Warriors as her backup). She only dresses as Sheik for recon missions, or if she wants to get away from everyone.
Tetra- She uses her guns for range, providing covering fire for the troops. She is also a powerful sword wielder. She also is the best at controlling ships and loves water-based missions.
Phantom (Toon Zelda)- One of the many powerhouses in the troops due to her possessive abilities. Although many people can see her, hitting her is a different story. She has gotten very good at dodging while she’s separated from her body.
Linkle- Due to her clumsiness and lack of directions, Linkle is barely on the battlefield except if the fight is close to the main base. She is used mostly to gather supplies and teach less experienced troops how to fire crossbows.
Impa- She trains all new troops and is a close friend of Artemis. She is also a massive powerhouse.
Lana- A powerful sorcerer and healer. Due to her and Cia’s unique circumstances, she is mostly used as a healer and support, helping those who suffer wounds during battles.
Darunia-
Ruto-
Fi-
King Daphnes-
Medli-
Marin-
Neutral
Midna-
Twilight-
Agitha-
Ravio-
Tingle-
Skullkid/Majora-
“Villains”
Ganondorf (General Villain)-
Cia (Warriors’ Villain)-
Zant (Twilight’s Villain)-
Ghirahim (Sky’s Villain)-
Volga (Warriors’ Villain)-
Wizzro (Warriors’ Villain)-
Yuga (Legend’s Villain)-
Astor (Wild’s Villain)-
Bellum (Wind’s Villain)-
Onox (Legend’s Villain)-
Vaati (Four’s Villain)-
Octavio (General Villain)-
Four- Cia was able to manipulate Four to her side by promising to revive Shadow. They only joined after seeing Vaati’s revival with their own eyes. Nobody knows about the Colors (besides Vaati, but the sorcerer is keeping it a secret).
Wild- With his shattered memories, Cia was easily able to convince Wild that the heroes were the bad guys in the situation, saying that they were the reason why he was brought here and away from his era. Wild is a soldier at heart and dutifully follows the orders of the person who helped him first, Cia.
Hyrule- Hyrule, in a new era filled with bloodshed and violence, was reduced to his paranoid and aggressive behavior from his past. He lashes out like a wild animal, yet will retreat as soon as a drop of his blood is spilled. Only Cia and Ganondorf know about the magical abilities of his blood and will collect it to heal/revive those who fall in battle. The only reason why he stays with the villains is due to Cia’s kindness towards him. Is it manipulation? Or does she have a soft spot for the hero?
Legend- Legend is not trustful of anyone besides Hyrule, who he knows is his predecessor. He stays with the villains just to keep an eye on the other. He doesn’t trust the other villains, but he also doesn’t trust the heroes. They’re all suspicious in his eyes.

Just wanted to say thank you to you for being so supportive of Jared and Walker in general and for giving us fans hope from an industry perspective. When I read your response about how industry executives have and are taking notice of his leadership qualities it was tremendously consoling to me. And after reading that, after two days of me being so angry, I cried. And I hate crying! But I know it was necessary.
I also want to thank you for being so supportive and patient with so many of us needing reassurance or to just vent in these past few days. I know you tell it like it is, but you’ve been very kind to answer all our asks, no matter how silly or strange they may seem.
Thank you for just being there.
You're welcome friend. I don't sugar coat things so I'm glad I was of some service.
After SPN's season 11, I became convinced Jared was the only SPN cast member who has the fortitude to go with his business acumen to go further in the tv industry. So far he's proved me correct. If I could see it from a long lens, then undoubtedly the industry insiders could see it too.
There's nothing stopping Jared from getting another show or job if he wants it even during the contraction era, which we old folks have seen before. In the 1960s and 1970s, the original studios all went belly up. Paramount was bought and owned by Gulf Oil sheiks. Warner got sold repeatedly and hasn't stopped, same for MGM, Universal and the rest. So none of this is new.
For the actors, Walker is what the old CW used to be: a launch pad for actors and writers, so the odds are better for them than most. It's one of the reasons why Walker cancellation hits differently than a regular cancellation, because the long-time open secret was that the old CW was the gateway for many, many actors, writers, and future showrunners. As mentioned in the earlier post, it was "a heartbreak for the entire industry" that Walker was cancelled on CW because that show along with Jared's face was the avatar of hope that the new CW could still serve that function of the old CW.
While fans are heartbroken over Walker, industry insiders are gutted over the reality of what it means for the industry. "The loss of CW is a loss for the TV ecosystem."
As for the Austin crew, I'm predicting that 2025 will start to see a better economy. Walker sustained them through four years of job-killing global pandemic, rounds of strikes, inflation, and finally change of network ownership.
