"The Bride" not having a name outside of her relation to a man she wants nothing to do with. Her body being constantly objectified and sexualized before she was even conceived. Her face, her torso, even each of her individual, rotting limbs being carefully selected to fit the sexual preferences of an absolute stranger. Her skull being beaten in and manhandled during a man's jealous outburst, her head rolling to the ground like an inanimate object. The story of Marilyn Monroe's body. The way women cannot rest even in death.

The constant expectation of who The Bride will be before she even is. The way patriarchal societies buy pink onesies and Barbie cribs and headbands with bows before a baby is even born. The stain of forever being "just" a woman. The way this mirrors Eric's flowers, the way he love-bombs her and lays ownership to her before she's even developed consciousness.

The way Eric insists that his bride doesn't need to develop basic language skills or even a rudimentary understanding of the world around her, because her education doesn't directly benefit him. The way he was created to usher in a new era of scientific discovery for mankind, while she was created only to please him. The Biblical story of Eve being carved from Adam's rib. The way organized religion trains women to believe that their only use lies in being obedient and subservient to the men around them.

The Bride being continuously punished for her sexual awakening, for any exercise of her own autonomy or free will. The way the only “love” she has ever known was brutally murdered because she refused to cater to the expectations of the men around her, because she denied the title that was thrust upon her at birth. The way that men have always done this to women— labeling us as "jezebels" or "harlots" or "whores" or "bitches" or "sluts" for refusing to fall into a role we never consented to performing.

And, of course, the fact that Eric continues to feel entitled to her body even after she tells him no in every conceivable way. "Why won't she let me touch her?!" The parallels between his behavior and that of so many incels who believe that women exist solely to serve their purposes. "She is to love me!" The way that, after losing her, he spends his time partying on yachts with models and playgirls, because that's all women are to him... just pretty objects. The way he bastardizes the word "love" because he's never taken the time to know or love her, not really.

The inherent trauma of her birth and nature— the way the horrorshow of her creation reflects the unspoken horror of every woman's creation. "She is but a cluster of fear and not knowing."

Ohhhhh Mary Shelley I fear you would love this show...

Do you think silver would make shadow cry at some point? Cause like he’s all edgy and cool n shit probably claims he never cries but hear me out, silver either does shit that reminds shadow of Maria, silver does dangerous shit and like shadow was scared he’d lose silver too or possibly someone like silver gets sick (probably just a cold) but shadow is so anxious he’s sick like Maria was and is relieved when silver recovers.

Also if ANYONE sees shadow cry he will kick them to space!

(Also would find it sweet if shadow teaches silver it’s okay to cry, likely something Maria told shadow and he passes this sentiment down to his son, like despite his inability to cry comfortably he doesn’t want his son to have the same issue)

But yeah, I like to think he's kind of a surprisingly big crier, but tries to act like he isn't. Not so much when he's in a dangerous situation because in that case he would just lock in like always, but all the mundane things like Silver playing and running around and being a happy lil' kid makes him instantly so emotional. And he absolutely would break someone's shins if they brought it up to him

Wukong has way more to lose now than ever before and he is not losing them to a lady with a complex

In the 3am AU, Wukong and Macaque start sharing a bed/nest after Xiaoxing was born. Though at first they had separate rooms at Wukong's place (he expanded the hut to a proper house after he found out Macaque wasn't lying) they soon realized that Xiaoxing didn't like sleeping in rooms that only smelled of one parent and would fuss until the other parent would come over.

Which was expected since young demons are sensitive to their parents smell and associate that to safety, which is why usually parents would have their children sleep in the same room since that promoted security within the children and helped create stronger bonds between families.

So at some point, when both Wukong and Macaque are sleep deprived, Wukong suggests just both of them sleeping in his bed with the baby and maybe that'll help. Macaque was too tired to complain that he just did it and boom baby is now asleep within seconds, but when either of them tried to get up Xiaoxing would start fussing again, so they just fell asleep.

They kinda then learned from other demons parents that it was better for them to have a bed/nest that smelled of both of them so that Xiaoxing would have a place to feel safe and secure growing up, but instead of just putting different pieces of each other's clothes on the beds in the house, they just went to the extreme of just sharing a bed throughout Xiaoxing's childhood, so that he would have a better development. Since no matter how hostile Wukong and Macaque were to each other, Xiaoxing was more important than that.

Besides, Xiaoxing's need to share a nest with his parents wouldn't last forever, he'd probably want his own bed somewhere around 8, both parents could do that for their son, a few centuries was nothing compared to the happiness of their kid.

(Jokes on them, by the time Xiaoxing doesn't need to share a nest anymore and Shadowpeach are like 'finally😭', Xiaoyue is well on her way to jumpscare her parents with her existence ✨)

Looking at this I can't stop thinking about how now they're going to live day by day, enjoying a peaceful life full of love and laughter in their little slice of heaven, and one of those days Hunter will be hit with a realization that he doesn't have to kneel to be on Omega's eye level anymore. And his back will creak when she falls asleep under that tree and he'll pick her up to carry her to bed. Another day he'll notice she's too tall to be seamlessly tucked under his chin. And she'll show up to breakfast one morning with his bandana in her hair because it got long enough. One of those days she'll become too tall, too big, too old to be carried around but it won't stop her from jumping onto Wrecker's back. People will turn around when she walks by and it will dawn on him that it's because of her beauty. She'll pick up a knife and twirl it between her fingers as smoothly as he used to do and she won't even think about it much but he'll be replaying it in his head for days.

And one day he'll hear the words he's been secretly dreading for over a decade. She'll get her own ship. Get in touch with some old friends, maybe find some new ones. She'll tell him that she's ready, then hug him just like she used to do when she was a little girl. And it will break his heart into a million pieces but he'll watch with a smile as she flies to the sky, ready for her next adventure. And he'll know that he raised her right.
