Comparing Farnese and Serpico (Farpico? Serpese? lmao) to Lenector is hilarious to me because 1) Serpico was meant to look like a bumbling sidekick until he revealed that he's actually cunning like a fox, which is what N!Hector was intended to be before Peak Writing striked; 2)

Farnese acts more like a kinky vampire than Lenore does. It's just funny to me. Wow, it's almost like your dommy mommy has to do more than just sexually molesting her pet! This scene is short but unironically hotter than any "good boy" Lenore can throw at me, even with Serpico not exactly being enthusiastic about being treated like a doll, and I'd be delighted to explain why :)

"Everything moving along like a well-oiled machine, but isn't that a bit dull?" Her eyes glinted with mischief, as she stepped forward, the quiet hum of the console beneath her feet fading into the background.

She paused, her grin stretching wider as an idea took hold. "What if just one star vanished? Or if a planet decided to abandon its orbit and drift off?" Her tone turned light, almost playful. Tilting her head, she considered the possibilities. "It wouldn't be destruction, merely a small adjustment. A nudge here, a shift there. The ripple would carry itself forward, and no on would notice. At least, not right away." A soft laugh, before she turned away from the display, as though leaving the universe to stew under her quiet, chaotic plans. "A little excitement wouldn't hurt."

the revelation that claudia’s rebirth was such a twisted and horrible moment, with louis dragging her like she was a thing, a stranger who neither of them knew but he kept saying over and over “our daughter, our beautiful little daughter” to lestat, really solidified the way she was never the main character of her own story. she was always an accessory to some or the other of louis’ whims: his guilt, his loneliness, his conflict of being a killer, his rocky relationship with lestat. there was love there, love from both her fathers, but it was never enough. lestat saw her too much as a wretched mirror held up to his own self, and louis was always too steeped in his own feelings to care enough about hers. claudia’s story truly was the greatest tragedy in this tale, treated horribly by every man around her, even her fathers, relentlessly exploited and brutally ignored, always second and never first. the only one who loved her the way she deserved to be loved was madeleine, and the moment she truly had her, her happiness was torn from her. and just before she died, she got to see someone actually choose her in her entirety, not for what she can be but for who she is, and it still wasn’t enough. she still burned alive in the sunlight. the love was there, but it wasn’t enough to save her.

losing it over gem this season because oh my god is her charisma through the ROOF. all it takes is one word from her for people to die. she commanded pearl to kill grian, and pearl listened. pearl, the closest thing she has to an enemy!! the scarlet pearl, infamous in all her insanity!! gem has wormed her way into the center of every single alliance and pulled every person she comes into contact with into a fatal sense of hesitance.

and she doesn't even do it because she particularly cares either!! even her alliance with joel is, to a degree, superficial. she sees the bamboozler's hit list and she fights to get joel off it at first, but eventually ends it with "at least take me off..."

people tried to kill her a dozen times and they were so afraid of her-- or maybe just felt so guilty-- that even if she didn't ask them to stop, they just DID. no matter how easily they could've killed her in the moment.. and then in the end, when she finally lost her first life, it was only on her terms. she allowed herself to be placed in that hole. she only halfheartedly placed that water bucket. she so blatantly let herself die there.

she feels infallible and honestly, she isn't even wrong to feel that way. that said, it will absolutely get her killed eventually.... but right now she's without a doubt the scariest person on this server and this is a hill i will construct with my bare hands and then die on if i must
