I love Astrid in gotnf so fucking much it's insane.

Like, fueled by some kind of manic behavior caused by Stormfly's absence, she fixated on making 'new holiday traditions' to distract herself from the fact her best friend is gone help the village, and basically got the pre-httyd1 Hiccup treatment.

She just wanted to help, and instead accidentally set the village on fire and blew up houses, got mocked by Snotlout and the twins, and was (probably for one of the first times ever in her life) looked at with nothing but disappointment from the adults.

(Only difference is she was actually trusted to clean up the mess she made whereas Hiccup was not due to fear of him accidentally breaking something even more)

While she was fixing the roofs she was probably thinking to herself 'I just wanted to help, but all I did was make things worse.' And I wonder if she realized this must be exactly how Hiccup felt for years.

dark justiciar shadowheart is genuinely so interesting to me as like... a facet to her character. like it really hammers home how desperate she is for shar's love and affection (+ the validation and love from other worshipers of shar). like in a lot of ways I get that it seems shocking to others / some fans because it really does contradict some of the morals we see her express BUT imo that just speaks to the level of desperation she feels. her comments on how shar "must" love her for her to survive the shadowcursed lands, or the bit where she talks about shar nurturing her and loving her and sounds... almost more like shes trying to convince herself more than shes trying to convince you. theres a bit about other sharrans not thinking she had earned her name, and of course the mother superior not thinking she was ready / worthy of being a dark justiciar. like shes just so completely desperate to feel unconditionally and securely loved, and to earn the approval of others that shes entirely willing to injure herself in the process (as well as.... the people who actually love her, of course).

not to mention that mechanically, afaik, she can only end up there if shes encouraged to by the player. ie... she needs to know someone else approves.

it confuses me when people say they like willow or xander and then get all uncomfortable and condemning about, like... major parts about them. you don't like that they're wildly possessive of which often leads them to acting irrational and awful...... which is like one of their biggest traits? oh, and you hate that they're not fantastic friends to buffy............. which is also like. how they are. pretty much the entire time we know them. okay!

Personally I cannot stand the nonchalant eren agenda that boy is the biggest loser yearner on the planet and I just can’t tune in to the frat boy characterization of him it’s just not for me. everyone can have their own characterizations of whoever they want but nonchalant eren is so bizarre to me he is constantly competing for the world’s most chalant man like i don’t even think he knows how to do anything casually even the things he’s bad at💀 he dives headfirst into shit knowing he has a half baked plan, he physically cannot stop himself from caring about and trying everything all the time always he’s such a loser he’s so cringe he yearns so goddamn bad <333

the frat boy persona of his is also crazy bc he simply doesn’t have the social charm to be a frat boy like idk if you’ve ever met a real life frat boy head honcho but they are so annoyingly charming like you know that he’s the most discombobulated human alive but something about him is alluring and he’s good in a room of people and he always has something he cares about way too much that seems out of character like the head of sigma nu sigma has daschunds as his wallpaper on all devices. we should depict Actually Popular frat boys in their true light. the other grimy ones exist too but they’re simply not the same breed. this is all to say even if eren was depicted as the former more often i could rock with it, but something in me knows he’s not sociable enough for it LOLLL honestly connie is better for the role

if i speak on bakugo i’m actually gonna start hollering it’s so personal to me even tho i’ve known this dude for a matter of months but he has never ever done anything wrong to me 🙂‍↕️ i think the other obvious contender for a fanon persona is satoru my pookie wookie i think people took that one note from gege telling fans to pick nanami over gojo way too seriously and it spiraled into him being a whore with no other context but satoru is literally 27-28 in the manga and sleeps 4 hours a day at best, and uses what free time he has to travel to pick up mochi. i PROMISE that brother is messy but not in the sleeps around all the time way, probably in the he can’t remember the conversation he had 40 minutes ago and you might think he’s not paying attention but the reality is he’s on his 71st consecutive hour of being awake
