Alice Liddell Through the Ages:

What's up freeloaders, new brainrot just dropped! That's right, I've been lightly obsessing over Alice in Wonderland as of late! Well. Mostly. This particular image is what I imagine Alice to look like throughout the years if she grew up in a modern-ish setting.

Edit: this turned into a whole crossover series. Here are the following posts for Wendy, John, Michael, Dorothy, and Milo. Watch as my under-the-cut notes slowly grow more consistent and coherent!

Here's the chicken scratch translation, and anyone who wants to know the backstory I made for these drawings can look under the cut! I will also put individual versions of each era at the bottom.

Going in the order that you should read the info boxes (which would also be the chronological order they were added to this fake info file):

[Notes: Often gives herself very good advice, but very seldom follows it. Still, her assertive personality got her through Wonderland and Looking Glass Land in one piece, which is no small feat.]

[Edgy Teenager Era. Age: 15. Source: Wendy Darling's Camera Reel.]

[Notes: Regular teen mental health problems were made worse by her intense longing for Wonderland. Combined with her regular assertiveness and an . . . interesting fashion sense, she has the world's worst RBF.]

[Business Attorney Era. Age: 24. Source: Celebratory photo after getting her first permanent position.]

[Notes: Alice absolutely aced both law school and business school. She was feared by speech and debate teams everywhere and is like some sort of fury from Hell for opposing lawyers. She survived the Queen of Hearts Court. Nothing you can dream up is even close to that intimidating.]

Aiight, so I designed a whole ass Crossover AU around my brainrot and now you guys get to hear the basic premise of it! Aren't you lucky!

Specifically, my brain siezed on a thread of "Hey! You know all those kids who went to nonsensical magical worlds, had a pretty bad time but learned valuable lessons, and then came back with very little evidence to prove it wasn't a dream? Yeah, what happened to them afterwards? D'you think they know each other? What would they grow up to be?"

And thus, a crossover AU was born. Basically, sometime after they all had their adventures, the following children all ended up in the same neighborhood at the same school. Also, this takes place somewhere between the 90s and the 2010s because I said so. The children are: Alice Liddell (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland); Wendy, John, and Michael Darling (Peter Pan); Dorothy Gale (Wizard of Oz); and Milo (Milo and the Phantom Tollbooth).

They all become friends because of the shared behaviors that going on an epic adventure in a nonsense world and then going back to school like a normal person causes. They all talk about their experiences eventually, but that's all a story for another day.

Who wrote this fake info file and why are they keeping it? That's for me to know and you to find out!

anyway, ur b pfp messed me up when i was looking for u through who i follow and i was kinda just chanting ophe until i found it TT-TT

I think, deep deep down inside, Heather has a lot of introspective re-evaluation to do before she can even consider admitting to herself that she likes someone. And she's iconic for that. That doesn't stop her from forming crushes on people, mind you.

As for liking p!Noah? Well, (as a Noaheather Enjoyer myself) a lot of Heather's potential romance partners, in my mind at least, stem from the connections she can/does make with them. She's slow to open herself up to people, and really prickly, so for her to have positive feelings for someone else is a novelty. (*cough*gray-aro Heather real*cough*)

If Heather was able to foster some sort of rapport between herself and p!Noah, let's say by offering him something akin to an alliance (since it's only strategic to have a wildcard like Noah's turned out to be on her side- keep your enemies close and all), and see behind the many layers of crazy and deceit? She'd probably have a sense of begrudging respect for him, at least. It takes smarts and dedication to keep up a ruse like his for so long- Heather herself couldn't keep up the "nice girl" act for more than a few episodes- and she knows that Noah's deceptively smart.

Maybe that begrudging respect could blossom into more? Who's to say.

Maybe p!Noah also respects Heather's ruthlessness and cunning, since she was able to scheme and sabotage her way into the final three on Island. She's interesting, and Noah appreciates people who are interesting.

The main drawback of liking someone as eccentric as p!Noah is, as we saw with Izzy and Owen in canon, Heather would need to be able to keep up with him.

Obviously, Noah's not nearly as hyper and fickle as Izzy is, but he's just as impulsive and detached from reality. Heather can appreciate his cleverness and craftiness all she wants- if she can't deal with his callous madness, she'd have very little luck in trying to romance him.

The B pfp was an impulsive choice on my part but I'm not sorry for it because B deserves more recognition for literally carrying his whole team for the first few episodes. I do apologise for any confusion though!

fascinating revelations out of my dad's professional coaching of the whole family today

my mom scored astonishingly high on empathy and caring for a woman who seemed to find it next to impossible to express that to me

my dad has done an insane amount of work to be so warm and personable considering that his natural inclination is towards strong reserve rooted in anxiety (just like me!!)

my sister shocked - SHOCKED 🙄 - to learn that she scores almost zero in empathy AND very high on manipulation

actually shocking reveal that my sister always knew she was my mom's favorite. like I kind of assumed she was mean to both of us but apparently most of the biting comments were for me

#in regard to number 3 I'm like bestie. you think you're the protagonist of the world. you tried to get me to come out to our parents #as a way to manipulate them into being happier for you for your engagement #you have a movie script in mind for your life and you try to get others to fit it #of COURSE you're low in empathy and high in manipulation #the mom's favorite thing was actually very surprising to me to hear bc i've never thought about it that way #mom's attitude towards me was so pervasive to my experience of childhood that i never considered that i had it worse than her #vis a vis getting chewed out and in trouble and snapped at and criticized constantly #the impression i got was that mom thought i was a crybaby and fragile and forgetful and dowdy and needy #my sister by contrast was the kind of girlboss my mom could like more easily #(i do wonder then that mom's bestie is a lot like me)#i know my sister got some Mom Comments and impatience and fighting too but it doesn't seem to have stuck with her so much #i dunno how i feel about it all #a lot and i mean A Lot to consider #also learned my sister doesn't really remember our grandma on mom's side and picked up a vibe that she's sad about it #i was a little dismissive in the moment of the idea that she was doting bc i remember her being very brisk and exacting #but i think like my mom she cared a lot but found it hard to express it in ways that weren't like. providing. keeping things shipshape #not very demonstrative and pretty intimidating to a kid #but i still do remember a few good things about her; note to self to tell T those stories #looking at cardinals on the deck. the roofing project. her painting my sister's nails. watching lion king and the old cinderella with us #good moments #it makes me think of the way mom used to really put care into giving us thoughtful gifts but she'd hardly ever play with them with us #i think it would have gone a long way with me at that age if she'd been willing to take the initiative rather than wait to be invited #i always thought that she knew so much and what she could do was so cool; i just never felt comfortable asking #bc she didn't seem like you could just ask her to come have fun #meanwhile my dad Knew a lot less stuff and had fewer cool hobbies but he was goofy and fun and willing to get on the floor #i think i understand why they were the way they were but still im frustrated #bc like t was saying today. now that mom's retired she's actually fun?? she's not stressed and angry all the time and she has time for us?#or at least for my sister anyway... but i will agree; she seems a lot happier #and i wish she'd been able to be happier when we were younger #neither me nor my sister came out of that with anything close to secure attachment

when jane's powers return in season four (and because they were regained by her confronting and accepting her past, rather than being retraumatised with it!) they're stronger than they ever were. when she starts getting a handle back on them, she very quickly comes to realise not only have they affected her, but her mother, too. one of the biggest losses that came about with her losing them was the fact that she could no longer visit terry in the void; while there was no real communication there, it did allow jane to sit with her, and gain a little more connection than she could in the real world. when she first visits the void after their return, it takes her three hours to find terry, something that is both unexpected and incredibly worrying. but when she does, it's something of a miracle. jane's increased strength and control over the void actually wakes terry up from her catatonic state, but only in the void. there's no way to help her mother physically, but she does do so (unbeknownst to her) mentally. terry is reborn in jane's newfound control over the vale of shadows; she becomes the woman she once was, and while her body remains frozen in a "good dream", her mind connected to jane's own allows her some freedom. jane is able to speak to her mother in the void, is able to be held by her, and while it's still unfair and jane cannot stay in there forever, it's something. this only lasts for about eight months, as each visit slowly begins deteriorating terry's physical and mental state, and jane's health begins declining after spending hours upon hours in the void each and every day.

when jane finds out these visits are actually killing her mother on the outside, she deems to stop, but terry expresses the importance of them being able to speak, that she'd prefer to die on the outside, if it meant she could have just a few months with her daughter like this. terry and jane's connection was always so strong, which ultimately led to terry "waking up" in the void, but even jane's newfound strength cannot save her from the harsh realities. each visit nearing the end of those eight months, terry fades more and more, becomes weaker in the void, and her real body eventually gives up. jane's in the void when her mother eventually passes on, and physically feels their connection weaken, like some part of her suddenly becomes lost in the shadows, a part she'll never find again. jane falls into a depressive state for weeks after her mother's death, given she's technically lost her a second time, but soon comes to realise she was lucky to have even shared those eight months together. it was better than nothing at all. there is a proper burial and funeral, (and when jane dies, she's buried next to her mother) which allows jane some sense of closure. she never fully recovers from losing terry, nor from the fact that she never had a proper relationship with her, but she does eventually find some peace with it all.

#study‚ in my dreams it's all real and my heart has so much to reveal.#IF U SAW ME POSTING THIS YESTERDAY. no u didn't.#i wanted to change things again (who is surprised!!) and decided to just rewrite it all rip.#me taking a few weeks off from this blog and then coming back with a brand new terry / jane hc? more likely than u think.#purely self indulgent too i might add!#every day i battle with making my terry portrayal canon to jane's timeline so jane can have her mother in every verse not just #selected ones.#but. her not having her mother is ultimately important to my writing of her and sfjasfjas >:( hate myself for it.#so here be a brand new addition to my timeline that gives jane SOME time with her mother!!! bc i need it for my mental health.#i imagine when terry dies her body turns to smoke in the void. almost like what happened to billy when jane was spying on him.#and he stopped her connection and faded in front of her.#and jane also visited terry a lot in the void because it allowed her to see more memories of her mother.#i hc that she had a real grasp on that before s3 when she looks into billy's memories.#terry (even in her catatonic state) WANTED jane to see what happened to her in hawkins lab.#so she'd want her to see the good stuff too. her childhood. andrew. her grandmother that raised her and becky.#all the good memories!#so when terry dies jane loses all that completely.#which leads to jane grappling with the conflict of whether or not she should have kept visiting terry in the void which eventually led to #her death.#because if she hadn't connected to her. she'd at least be able to look back on all those memories.#jane becomes obsessed within those months and barely speaks to anyone else.#in any free time she has. she's in the void with terry.#her own physical body grows very weak after a little while but she pays no attention to it and even gets into heated arguments with becky.#because becky is jane's carer and needs her safe and healthy. needs to look after her.#but jane is so adamant about the fact that this is her MOTHER and she's finally able to speak to her.#UGH i have so much to say abt this actually i sense a brand new addition to my timeline coming on.#ANYWAY. i'm emotional about them that is all.

Roxanne deserved so much better, and I am beyond pissed off that she didn't get that, even for a little while. The one saving grace for me rn is that Ted cradled her as she died. I just wish he'd been brave enough to tell her he loved her whilst she was still alive (or that she'd survived and he'd had the chance later on).

#I'm not saying that what Ted and Roxanne had wasn't also a little bit toxic #But I think if she'd been out of that situation and they'd been able to set some proper boundaries and ground rules it could have been good #Why am I going insane about this 25 years too late?#Will be thinking about them and their tragedy for at least the rest of this week but probably for the rest of my life #The Bill Old Enemies #The Bill New Friends #These are my more coherent thoughts and there's probably more to come but might have to rewatch #As much as I don't want to #Spoilers ig #Just in case #Ted Roach

I genuinely love how terrible Tuvok is as a leader. The two times he's in charge the people under his command try to mutiny against him. Chakotay has to threaten to beat people up for the Maquis to go back to his lessons and the only reason Harry Kim didn't start a mutiny is because Kes got him to change his mind about going back to get the captain. He was literally like one second away from being forced to walk the metaphorical plank.

They just wanna talk Tuvok :) Neelix literally said it best in 'Learning Curve'

The theme of him being too rigid to lead a wide variety of people is so interesting. I assume that as a security head it's easier because you're supposed to be able to unemotionally carry out tasks...there's a certain personality I'm sure that gravitates towards that line of work and perhaps that personality is the kind that Tuvok works well with but I find his claim that he's 'never had an issue' with teaching others before in Learning Curve to be him being oblivious to those issues. In 'Repression' the Maquis crew are all talking about how they can't trust Tuvok because he's a traitor and there's no real push back against this.

No one brings up anything Tuvok's done to make up for this betrayal or soothe these clearly festering bad feelings because he hasn't. He's done literally nothing. This is season 7. He's spent SEVEN YEARS just letting that whole 'I betrayed half this crew' thing mellow because I doubt he even thought to do anything about it. I love this man - he's gonna get stabbed!!!

Chakotay & Neelix forced to do PR for Tuvok as he just obliviously marches forth, unaware that anyone might dislike him or why he should care if they do.

#Tuvok: -Harry's holding a gun to his head- I just want everyone to know that I'm turning around because /I/ want to.#I genuinely do like this <3 It's an interesting character flaw and aspect of his personality #Especially when you contrast it with say B'Elanna as head engineer. She probably has to work with a wide variety of people #personalities and ideas and judge what's best - what to do - it's a more 'creative' job and the fact she does it so well shows that #despite what she thinks she IS good with people! At least in a familiar work setting! She has it in her!#It makes the fact she was practically forced out of Starfleet even sadder...if she'd just been encouraged more !!! AGH!!#anyway Tuvok should not be a captain in Picard and I hate that he is #it's not his personality it's not in his character it was never a stated goal of his it's stupid #not every character needs to be a captain or an admiral to show they've 'made it'#Tuvok needs to be contained to Security he needs to be in there HEHEH #oh another terrible leadership thing is his whole episode with B'Elanna #Tuvok is only good at nurturing people who want to become 'Model Vulcan' or 'Model Starfleet Officer' and only in one particular way #Tuvok #st voyager #Tuvok: I've always taught people this exact way and I've never had any problems with it #Me: X #literally the only thing Chakotay or B'Elanna can say when the Maquis crew say they don't trust Tuvok is like 'hey...c'mon man....'#Janeway isn't doing PR for Tuvok bc she doesn't think he needs it #chara analysis

#there are actually always problems.#random guy showed up with his wife today #never spoken to either of them before #would have been fine to pair up with the wife #but i'd joined another guy #then guy with wife walks over to the coach #points at me without even looking at me #says “she'd be better off with my missus”#coach agreed also without even looking at me #i don't mind working with her at all and it would have been fine had i chosen that #or if i'd been asked directly #but this man who i'd never spoken to before decides to point at me and say where he thinks i'm better off #from the bottom of my heart fuck you #i didn't do anything because what am i going to say to a guy like that #who already doesn't consider it worth his time to LOOK ME IN THE EYE #his wife was lovely and i was happy to pair with her for her first session #but no i am not better off with her #people (men) assume i know nothing about the sport #i once had a guy lecture me on how to teep on his second week #it's fine for the most part but these little things add up #and makes me wonder if it's worth sticking with a sport that gets me this kind of treatment no matter where i go #or how old i am #or how i act or how good i get #''' she'd be better off ''' my foot would be better off in your nuts

So I'm an RTD girlie who gave up on doctor who somewhere in the moffat era before chibnall even took over and so I've missed all of thirteen's tenure. I don't have it in me to watch all of her seasons at this moment in time but I LOVE Jodie and your gifs look so compelling.

Would you be able to recommend your top 5 episodes with 13 or something so I can rectify the error of my ways, at least a little bit?

Hmmmmmmm I would say that for a complete Thirteen novice you should watch:

The Woman Who Fell to Earth

It Takes You Away

Spyfall pts 1 & 2

The Haunting of Villa Diodati

And probably Fugitive of the Judoon and The Timeless Children just because those are very important series lore episodes that are important to watch even if you very much disagree with most of the choices that Chibnall made

Also probably The Power of the Doctor so you can watch Thirteen's full regeneration episode (and Jacob Anderson <3)

#questionbell #anonymous #i will also admit this openly: the gifs I'm reblogging look compelling because I'm very selectively cherry picking #the best part of each episode to amplify #i love jodie and i love thirteen so much but god are some of her episodes dull #chibnall had no idea what to do with her and the companions offer absolutely nothing #and i mean it. i do say this with love but jodie/thirteen could've been INCREDIBLE if she'd had anything good to work with #which is why she shines when she's up against sacha as the master #he gives her something to bounce off and play with whereas yaz just gawks at her like a bug under a microscope #but i do think the biggest issue is that there are just too many characters in each episode #villa diodati has like 10 characters in it which is far too many to successfully do anything with #because you can't further yaz's storyline while also making us care about shelley and the lone cyberman and the cyberium all in 50 minutes #and that's where i think the chib era suffered the most #it tried to do too much and in doing so accomplished nothing at all #anyway i do genuinely like these few episodes so you should very much check them out and form your own opinion #just don't watch rosa or orphan 55
