my neighbor/closest friend in town moves away today and i am :( sad :(

#she’s going back to florida #(we’re in pa)#and i’m going to miss her so much #she lived in the townhouse directly across from mine #so we could wave at each other through the window #and a couple times a week we’d get together after her toddler was in bed #to smoke on one of our patios #and play switch games #she showed me the good coffee spots and lunch places around town #and hopefully we’ll keep in touch #but it’s not the same as having your friend right next door #personal

did anyone else grieve and worry this year

#1 runaway close friend/roommate who went to the psych ward 1 close friend/mentor who killed herself 1 best friend who lost his mind #(the latter two also went to the psych ward. 2024 shall be the year of my friends all being institutionalized)#those were the 3 big ones but my grandma also got deathly ill and my mom got meaner after that. understandably so #hooked up with only 1 girl and she moved back to florida permanently and my other situationship moved back to D.C.#i uhhhhh got rejected by every job and internship i applied to this year and had to go back to the shitty bakery i worked at when i was 16 #got mcr tickets but cost way too much and had to sell them. still plan on re-buying them but idfk that was a low point somehow #started smoking heavily this year which is embarassing. but what's fun is i learned the value of partying and more importantly drinking #there was trump also but! there was brat summer too. there was personal losses and there was sweat tour and chappell roan. so #like. i got to obsess over 3 good TV shows (hannibal house md always sunny) and i drank a lot of vodka and went to so many parties #at the end of the day! who needs alive and stable best friends! who needs an internship! i have hedonism and alcohol induced memory loss <3

my dads gonna be homeless again 🗿

#hes been applying for jobs for months but nobodys calling him back #hes been without his antidepressants and cancer treatments for months #he doesnt habe a car. hes literally gonna be on the streets again and i have no idea how to help him #i can take his cat and maybe store some of his stuff #but thats it #he doesnt have any family to help him #the only reason hes in florida is for me. and now all his family is on the other side of the country and he has no support #i dont know what to do or how to comfort him #i cant tell him its all going to be okay because its literally not. i dont know how to get him help #my mom would never let him stay in our house. we cant afford it and she wouldnt want him around #i jsut feel so helpless.#i dont want to lose my dad again #i know hes suicidal. hes attempted before and im so scared this will be the last straw

#had to listen to ttpd out of plain curiosity because everyone was saying how much it didn't deliver and well they weren't lying #they weren't lying about the lana comparisons either! who's afraid of little old me sounds like born to die in the verses #it's very flat tbh like you're listening to the same songs over and over #it's very hollow like the album was just made just to be made in order to keep her name afloat and relevant #not because she had something to actually say and express. her song delivery is very flat and unemotional idek how to properly express what #i mean. like she sings with no actual emotion behind the words no nerve no nothing. like she can't actually convince me that she's feeling #all that she's singing. also like the music is all the same and the way she sings them. there's no fluctuations no diversity. it's the same #song over and over. also sometimes i feel like the lyrics and the delivery don't really go together with the music #like they don't compliment each other #But Daddy I Love Him is supposedly over her fans trying to dictate her life (i have all sorts of opinions on that but it's a diff convo) an #it had 0 nerve and anger in it. i needed a little more intense a little more angry. i liked down bad and Florida (thank god for Florence 😭)#and all the breathy low vocals are not it either. it kind of makes the album flatter. there's no tension no passion in the album #definitely feels like she's trying to recreate 1989 and maybe folklore/evermore and it's not working #also people comparing this album to midnights are not wrong either #it feels like her last few releases all sound the same with no creativity or bringing something new and amazing #she really needs a break and to take a step back re-evaluate and try to create something more inspiring and fun instead of trying to #recreate the same sound over and over again. releasing album after album in such a short period of time is bound to hinder creativity and #the quality of someone's work. and maybe she does need new people to work with that will push her creatively #also i feel like she doesn't need to create such long albums. especially if you're using the same sound in every song. like one song morpths #into the other and it gets boring! especially if there's little to no build up and tension holding the song and having breathy vocals that #lead to nowhere during each song! anyway it could've been a whole lot better and she has better songs than this

just had the worst encounter with this woman walking around my neighborhood I went outside to get my mail and she stopped me and handed me a paper and was like oh I'm collecting clothes for a men's homeless shelter blah blah and I look at the paper and it says S-L sizes and I was like "oh okay is it just these sizes? or can we donate anything bigger?" and this woman goes "homeless people aren't fat why would they need bigger sizes 😂" and I wish my brain worked faster so I could've said something more idk profound but instead I handed her the paper back and went "you're a horrible human being if that's what you really think" and walked back into my house
