It's official: Athena is gae
Now let me explain. So you already know about my crazy ahh greek mythology dreams right? Well I didn't have any for MONTHS until last night in which I was supposedly in a haunted mansion outside my Uni with my friends where we proceed to go down in the basement. Now suddenly we are in this weird limbo-like world where time is suspended and everything is like greyish-white (and there seems no end to the room). There is one TV in that place (which is also suspended mid-air) and me and my friends are watching it.
Basically what the TV was showing was the Greek deities and their powers (kinda like how before choosing a character in a game you get all their info) and then suddenly a woman with long wavy black hair, tanned skin, grey eyes, and adorned in a surprisingly vibrantly-coloured chiton (started off as white but then at the bottom it was multicoloured like it had all the colours of the rainbow) appeared before me. She chuckled when she looked at the TV (it displayed a female deity at that time) and was like: "Oh you guys are looking at my gf"
And I was like: 👁👄👁☠️
And my friends were like: 👁👄👁🙏😭✝️ (coz they were like who th is she)
And then I immediately asked her name because I thought she was Hera (judging her by her clothes) but she said she was Athena and I freaked out even more since she's supposed to be a Maiden goddess to which she's like: "It's not physical chillllll" and fist bumped me.
There's a lot more to the dream (like Hades' teen rip-off called Haces which I'll get into only if you ask me to ;) and demonic ponies) but THE MAIN GIST IS THAT ATHENA IS A CONFIRMED LESBIAN LESSGOOOOO
(Also Happy Diwali twiddy🪔-)
HELLO??? 😭😭😭😭
GURRRLLLL SEE IF ATHENA WASNT GAY SHE WOULDN'T HAVE MADE U HAVE THAT DREAM SO IT'S CONFIRMED (Blind leading the blind)
My hc for her is demiromantic ace but lesbianism also suits her XD
AND HAPPY BELATED DIWALIIII (sorry I took so long i have a fuckton of asks already hsjsksjsjs forgive me bestieee)

See the issue is I actually really like Yuta and Maki’s relationship and think it’s interesting. Like I think they have a fun friendship and would like to see more of it. This issue is 98% of the ppl who put Yuta and Maki in the same post do it for shipping purposes and it kinda makes me wanna throw up a little
#like sorry idc if everyone else wants yuta’s character to develop and for him to move on from rika#I DONT#I want him to be unable to completely let her go and move on for the rest of his fucking life#I want him to embody ‘love is the most twisted curse there is’#like ik he canonically ‘let rika go’ at the end of 0 but that’s not what I mean#I MEAN I never want him to quote unquote fall in love with or be romantically involved with anyone else#because he made her a promise to give her everything and he’s going to keep it no matter what ya know ya know?#and then on maki’s side of things#she’s a lesbian. like she’s a lesbian that’s the main gist of it#but also even if she DID end up with feelings for him (never would happen but for the sake of this)#I like to think she respects rika enough not to go after Yuta like I like the thought of that#ALSO after Mai’s death I think she would understand being unable to let go and move on fully#so she would never expect that from Yuta#so yeah no like I said I think their relationship is interesting and would like it to be explored#but just literally never ever in a romantic sense but that’s all anyone else is interested in 😭#kaz rambles

I have such a fun time exploring gender with my oc Them tbh I love seeing those varying joke posts that go into many different identities and just going “oh yea they’re all of them” and that is literally just true
#shut up alli#like i am not trans but there is an enjoyment in like. figuring out what they are#they’re a boy! they’re a girl! they’re neither!#they’re all of them at the same! time!#most importantly they are whatever is funniest#they are a lesbian for sure#he/they generally BUT if you’re their GF you may use she/her#i think lane would be fun too but the main gist for her is that she is a he/she pronoun user#it’s so funny in this setting bc nobody gives a fuck about gender like some prob don’t even know what that is#bc it’s a human concept and none of them are human#oc time

I've a vague recollection of posting something about this before at some point, but I've seen other posts around about it and felt like saying something.
Yang Xiao Long is canonically sapphic. At this stage the only thing we know for certain is that she's romantically paired with Blake. There was this whole confession of love and kiss, and seeing a gif of that cross my dash was what got me into RWBY.
There was also the Volume 9 Bluray commentary released later on last year, the gist of the relevant part of that is Blake is Yang's first love, and as of that confession scene Yang is realising something new about her sexuality. If CRWBY had wanted to confirm Yang as lesbian, bi or pan, they could've. But it sounds like Yang herself hasn't fully figured that out yet. The only thing that is certain is that Yang isn't het.
That means there's nothing wrong with headcanons that she's lesbian, or bi, or pan. Or even that she's Blakesexual and not interested in anyone else and never will be. All are valid. There's no erasure or phobia of any sexual orientation involved with any of these headcanons.
My own headcanon is that she's lesbian, or will be when she's figured it out. It's something that takes time for a lot of people, me included. I was over 25 before I figured out I was bi. You'd think that being bi I'd headcanon Yang as bi too, but no, and that's not internalised biphobia. I just don't get the impression she's interested in men.
But what about this moment back in Volume 1?
Yang leering at shirtless boys, after saying she approves of them in response to Ruby commenting that she doesn't think their dad would approve of all the boys. This is the single time Yang shows any interest in boys, and it sounds a lot like a joke. It can be interpreted as Yang genuinely finding those boys attractive, but with the way Yang has a thing where she deflects with humour it's hard to tell for sure.
There's also the secondary canon of that Volume 9 commentary. At this point in Volume 1 Yang herself presumably had even less certainty of her own sexuality than she does at least a year later. She's 17 here, and she's 19 when she kisses Blake. We also know from that commentary that Yang's first love is Blake, so anyone she might have been with before that? She didn't love them. And I personally find it unlikely that she'd be with anyone she didn't love.
Secondary canon is one of those things that some people ignore. If it's not in actual main canon, they don't consider it canon. It's also easier to miss than main canon. There could well be people who haven't heard about the Volume 9 commentary. There could even be people who don't know that Blake is bi, because it's not explicitly stated in RWBY itself. It's just implied by her romantic history, and by Bumbleby being canon.
There's also nothing wrong with shipping Yang with anyone else. She's with Blake in canon, but there's no reason she can't be with someone else in headcanons and fanfic or fanart. And vice versa with Blake. Which does feel kinda weird to type, but then they are my OTP.

bones sexuality headcanons
yeah i dont have proof (except angela) i just Know. call it my lesbian spidey senses. disclaimer that those are MY headcanons, you can have your own opinions on those ofc
main characters:
brennan: bi (preference for ugly men... but i digress). she probably started exploring her sexual orientiation in college and came to the conclusion that she's attracted to every gender to varying degrees. she's probably tongue kissed angela a few times pre season 1
booth: cishet ally! ⭐️ he's a bit confused but he's got the spirit, i'll give him that.. bi wife energy start playing whenever he walks into the room
zack: gayboi with a bad case of hero worship for dr brennan. naomi from paleonthology made him realise this isnt really what he'd like to excavate, if you get the gist... ;) (ew)
angela: imo? bi, but it's up to anyone. canon queer and i'm very happy about it
hodgins: bi. putting my foot down on this one- to me, hodgela is bi4bi. one day early into the series angela goes "why is everyone so hot... being bi is so hard" and hodgins is like "yeah, tell me about it" and they have a Oh, You Too? moment
cam: distinguished (ex-disaster) pan. she's all cool and collected now but in middle school she was probably stuttering whenever she saw a pretty girl
sweets: pan. boykisser. i just KNOW. that man is not heterosexual. probably had a few boyfriends in high school too
aubrey: bi? preference for women but in an alternate universe he and sweets are a thing
goodman: token straightie along with booth except i actually like him even tho even tho he took a 2 month sabbatical and never came back
squinterns:
clark: bi. a bit repressed and only realised it after breaking up with nora but as long as he gets there it's fine
daisy: pan. absolute girlkisser. she has the wlw equivalent of whatever zack felt for dr brennan. swaisy is a disaster pan couple.
fisher: pan- and i wont have it any other way. he was 100% checking sweets out when he came over to b&b's in s8, so i like to think when hodgins asks sweets "what is it with you and interns?" in 9x23 he's including fisher
wendell: bi and in a lab au he's dating vincent thank you
vincent: english twink and i think he and wendell should kiss in the lab lost & found
arastoo: straightie but we still love him. pan wife energy since he and cam are married
finn: god, i have No Idea but i have a feeling he doesn't either
wells: aro, and maybe ace too, but fyi even if he wasn't no one would want him
jessica: ... i used to say lesbian but i kinda let the jaubrey of it all get to me... pan vibes perhaps? i'll have to think it over. in another universe she and daisy are a thing too btw
other characters:
caroline julian:... lesbian. no i will not give an explanation for this one. sham marriage and all.
karen delfs: big pansexual energy coming from this random profiler?? i like her
villains: (do not take those seriously, but also...)
pelant: unlabeled. getting strangled by hodgins awoke something in him but he didnt have the time to figure it out between 8x01 and 9x04
taffet: very VERY mean lesbian
epps: heterosexual incel
broadsky: internalised homophobia over booth, clearly
kovac: the man pretended to be married to his sister. i'm not sure i even wanna know
#am i serious about these? eh. but also kinda.#bonestv#bones tv#temperance brennan#seeley booth#angela montenegro#zack addy#jack hodgins#lance sweets#james aubrey#clark edison#daisy wick#colin fisher#wendell bray#oliver wells#daniel goodman#jessica warren#christopher pelant#howard epps#heather taffet#jacob broadsky#caroline julian#karen delfs#arastoo vaziri#vincent nigela murray#squinterns

ok Worm Bigotry Breakdown in more detail for @silverflyingpikachu
tl;dr: author is Cishet White Guy From Canada In 2011. he ostensibly thinks he is progressive. this does not change his proclivity for tossing his Cishet White Guy From Canada Biases into the books and then saying even more bigoted things in defense of those writing decisions on forums. wildbow is just some cunt on the forums with bad opinions on wildbow's writing. the book is 1.7 million words long but i believe in my ability 2 categorize this shit with decent accuracy. everyone who has ever said worm's CWs can't be categorized, including wildbow himself, is a lying ass bitch. this will include some vague spoilers, because i can't really go in-depth without a few examples, but i'll stay away from anything too plot-critical.
racism:
- worm is fundamentally a book abt systems of power and the ways in which they suck. some of the critiques worm issues--e.g, its depiction of how school systems enable bullying, inspired by wildbow's own experiences w/ the school systems as a deaf kid--are viscerally accurate and incredibly compelling. but wildbow fundamentally doesn't understand how certain systems of oppression work--e.g policing--and subsequently, his attempts at depicting them occasionally fall flat onto their face and land in racist territory. this gets particularly nasty when combined w/ the White Guy Author propensity for racist stereotypes--for example, his chosen face of police brutality is a black girl portrayed as predatory & animalistic.
- who is also one of the only black people in the book overall, alongside--for example--an addict portrayed as having less interiority & being less deserving of empathy than A Literal Fucking Nazi. also, the main characters have to team up with the nazis "for the greater good" (defeating the mean asian villains) at one point. it is a mercy to the readers when this part of the story ends. - there are two black characters in the main cast. for the first, wildbow just Straight Up Forgot to include the most compelling aspect of their background + characterization in the text (it was provided via WoG instead, which i provide to all wormreaders like a fuckin' DLC patch when they get to where it's relevant) & entirely forgets they exist towards where the end of their character arc should have been. the second is introduced w/ the most misogynoiristic description on the planet but blessedly has a largely compelling and well-written arc as the book goes on. - depiction of china is just like. fox news level sinophobic "it's all a brainwashed indistinguishable evil cult" shit. not relevant for very long relatively speaking but insufferable to read. asian characters are also like. we got Brutal Yet Honorable Asian Man. we got Fiery Asian Girl With Blue Eyes. it fucking blows it's not good
- oh yeah forgot this one someone mentioned in the tags. #it's an insignificant paragraph and nobody talks about it but the part where it goes #“yeah literally EVERY cape in South America is with a cartel and the heroes are barely distinguishable from the villains” #fuck you #not that the others aren't bad the fatphobia gets really gross but nobody mentions this and that one got me so yeah typical Insufferable Awful Imperial Core Author Understanding Of What Other Countries Are Like - i could make this section one million bulletpoints long but the gist is summarized i think--wildbow's varied racist biases leak fucking everywhere, into character design, into narrative assumptions about who's deserving of interiority/empathy or not, into attempts at Saying Anything About Society, into which characters he prioritizes, into who he offers validity via the narrative, etc etc etc.
homophobia: - theres a girl named amy dallon in it and she is the worst lesbophobic stereotype ever known to man. no other Problematic Lesbian™ you can think of has anything on this girl. the worst part is that she genuinely has a decently compelling character concept and arc, which her being awful is integral to, so you might accidentally find her interesting anyway and then she'll move into your brain - wildbow kept accidentally writing characters that scan as massive dykes and then got really mad about f/f ships for the book being popular in the fandom. he responded by making a deranged forum post involving the phrase "pandering is pandering" insisting everyone (but the bisexual "hedonist") is straight and writing a scene into the book where one of the characters literally turns to the camera and tells the readers "not to get the wrong idea" about her hugging her friend. - over the course of 1.7 million words he finds excuses to loudly inform you that all of the relevant female characters are straight and it's sooo shoehorned in you can always tell when he's doing it - basically worm is like if naruto was about homoerotic teenage girls who do violent terrible things, in terms of levels of unintentional homoeroticism, and the author responds to ppl going "lmao gay" about the unintentional homoeroticism with poorly restrained seething rage
fatphobia: - generic brand of fatphobia you'll see in p much all mainstream media where only side/bg characters are fat and it's obliquely used as a descriptor to indicate that someone has negative personality traits or should be viewed as sort of gross
anti-addict shit: - wildbow generally likes writing about how social circumstances--i.e neglect from society, oppression, failure on behalf of systems--causes crime. he generally likes demonstrating the ways in which the villainous main characters are traumatized teenagers failed by society fumbling to keep existing & holding each other up through The Horrors. unfortunately all of this intelligent writing flies out the nearest window when addicts are involved. there is a gang comprised entirely of addicts, all of whom are portrayed as disgusting, violent, dangerous, and of course often racially stereotyped. it is a mercy to the readers when they're no longer relevant to the story. - on a more subtle level, characters are every so often just like. a little more anti-drug than they would realistically be and you can tell it's wildbow's opinions leaking into their characterization. this is largely what the anti-addict writing is kept to after The Addict Villains leave the story iirc.
if youre wondering wellwhy does anyone read this book then. to that i would say that unfortunately despite it all it'sa fucking excellent book. so we all carry on reading the parts that suck and thinking about how they suck and then reading the parts that fuck and going "ouuugh my god" and rolling down 20 flights of stairs about how hard they fuck.
#sorry if i missed anything this entire post was written while so tired#parahumans#apparenty people lke this one so ill maintag it in case anyone finds it useful its very slapdash though

WELCOME TO COSMICCARE
If this is annoying, do not fret- this will be the only time I will post in the main tags.
This is an ask blog derivative of @sparklecarehospital and @askcometcare. Aside from lifting the green cat and purple dog, the general gist of their partners, and the hospital in which they met, everything else is warped beyond recognition and largely made from scratch, so please don't expect canon complicity.
The ask box is currently OPEN.
Below the cut is most of the about page, featuring descriptions for the characters.
Content Warning
Per the source, there may be mentions of canon typical medical malpractice and mental health struggles up to suicidal ideation and self harm. This webcomic also focuses entirely on dysfunctional family dynamics and familial discourse.
The Family
They are collectively called the Cosmic family, for no particular reason except that the majority of the members enjoy the night sky. The below character listings are information as currently known, and some things may not be disclosed immediately.

Winter Green Mint
15 yr old, male (he/him) undisclosed sexuality Child of Ale Mint and Kevin Zero. Mediocre artist and writer. Does his best to help his family, despite apparently holding known resentment towards many members within it.
Reese Ent Mint
12 yr old, female (she/squeak/kit) undisclosed sexuality Child of Ale Mint and Rhys Per. Likes ‘cool things’, like dinerries, sports, and bullying others.
Ace Oort Cloud Mint
10 yr old, genderfluid (they/it/(bit/byte)) aromantic Child of Ale Mint, Rhys Per, Imogen Airy, and Kevin Zero, all together. A chemistry savant and eternal ray of sunshine.

Hey new to the aphmau fandom, like days old, and i was wondering what order to watch her rps as its kinda confusing to me
This is going to be such a long post because there’s so much to say! (There is a TLDR at the end if you don’t care about specifics and just want a watch order)
The inclusion of side-series and stuff just convolutes things a tad. But I promise, you will get an answer.
First;
I suggest a side series to start. Which isn’t to say that they’re all short, they’re just not relevant to the Big Two.
But, yeah, just dip your toe in the pool first.
Dreams of Estorra- never watched it. But it’s popular. It should be on the Aphmau Stories channel instead of her main one, if you can’t find it there. If someone can offer me a summary for it I would love you.
A Royal Tale- a weird mishmash of Disney and the Aphverse. A lighthearted fantasy show with some adult humour, Lo (< an icon), and romance. It will introduce you to some of the characters from the other series without overwhelming you with references you won’t understand. Aarmau, but they’re exes who hate eachother. It’s only a roleplay
Mermaids Tale- similar thing to ART, a mermaid au for Aphverse. Very Aarmau centric, there’s lesbian mermaids. I cant actually remember the plot but it got me into my train (the singer) phase. It’s only a roleplay
Mod Mod world- never watched it, but it did get a sequel that I’ll bring up later. Again, would love a summary from someone.
My Inner Demons- it’s one of the only non-aphmau centric shows and doesn’t include ANY aphverse characters. The main character is Ava, and it’s set up like a Harem Anime with a bunch of male demon love interests for her. It has quite adult humour, but it’s pretty cute aesthetically and deserves a second season. It’s only a roleplay
HeartPoint- a girl sees how much people like her platonically and romantically by little stats that appear above their heads. I believe Aphmau is the only Aphverse character, and whilst the romance is pretty obvious to me, I’ll leave who she ends up with blank as that’s kind of a part of the series… iirc. It’s only a roleplay.
There may be more… I’ll have to look.
Anyways.
So.
Onto the behemoths.
Minecraft Diaries is the first of the Roleplays to really get her popularity. It’s a medieval fantasy, with both roleplay and let’s play elements in it. It ran for three seasons, seasons one and two being 100 episodes each, however season 3 ended short. It was never completed. Season three is regarded as the worst season, and most either don’t consider it canon or haven’t watched it at all, but I consider it canon solely because it introduces us Lo, who I love. The two main ships when it was popular were Laurmau and Garmau, and if it weren’t for MyS, they probably still would be treated as such.
If you want to watch the main series in chronological order, I would watch MCD first. It is my favourite tho so maybe I’m biased. The lore can be contradictory and the quality slowly improves over time. It started to get remade with Rebirth, which you can watch before hand to get a general gist of the show before you dive into it, though it isn’t incredibly accurate to how the original is. Seasons 1-2 are on Aphmau’s main channel (I think), but season 3 is on Aphmau Stories. You don’t need to watch MyStreet but, you will probably end up watching it anyways.
Brief intermission: Void Paradox. The Mod Mod world sequel, is also a side series for MCD s1, and was made years afterwards. Very high quality, probably one of the better side series in general, and deserved a continuation. MMW isn’t required to watch it, but for context on Laurence and what’s up with him, MCD s1 is.
The next is MyStreet. It started as a modern Au for Diaries with the side stories and The Big Move, however began to be made into its own series. It begins as a slice of life, and is very light hearted with an Aarmau emphasis. It faces a genre swap for Season 4, before reverting to a slightly more solemn version of what it once was, before it goes back to a darker vibe for s6. Until s6, it existed in a separate universe to MCD, and you don’t need to watch MCD to understand it (though it does provide some context for s6)
There are prequels and side series (and a three episode sequel, which is fun). PDH is the main one, and because MyS was made first, they can contradict, however you will need to watch PDH S2 for context for MyS S4. Otherwise you won’t know the villain or understand what the fuck he’s doing. After them, there is PDH: Graduation days, and FalconClaw University. Neither are particularly important, but again, FCU offers some context for s4, so… you could watch it. It’s just not mandatory. There’s Aphmau’s year after s4, which is just a recovery mini-season, and there’s Her Wish which was released before s6, but set after it. And I will give them credit, they did preplan when they wrote her wish and watching it after s6 and realising everything they did to retain continuity… oh it’s good. Her wish does require watching MCD S3/late s2 though, it won’t make sense without it.
TLDR;
If a series isn’t Void Paradox, Mystreet, MCD, Phoenix Drop High or FalconClaw Uni, you can just watch it whenever.
MCD / PDH / MYS is my personal favourite watch order, because it’s all chronological. But just go with whatever you vibe with!
MCD is the OG and fantasy Medieval, but is a mix of roleplay and let’s play, and doesn’t have entirely consistent lore. It has a partial remake and it’s final, incomplete season, sucked.
PDH is higher quality and a highschool drama with fantasy undertones but less relevant, and is a prequel for MyS
MYS is the most popular and is a slice of life with more fantasy undertones, as well as very high quality, but suffers through genre swaps, and requires some context from the other two in later seasons.

Tips for Children's Librarians 8/?
Regardless of the demographics of your patrons, make a conscious effort to read books with diverse characters.
That doesn’t mean the books need to have a diverse cast every time, but rather that you don’t always pick books with characters (especially main characters) from the same race.
Let every race have their turn at being represented. Not necessarily every time, but enough that the kids see themselves as well as others on a regular basis. Seeing oneself being represented and seeing people different from yourself represented are both wildly important.
This also means that you should make an effort to read stories with characters with different disabilities when possible too. You might have to look around for lists of books with disabled characters, but if you manage to slip in even a single disabled character book it’s a start. One book is better than none. You can work on expanding over time.
Make a conscious effort to also read books that question stereotypes.
Here's a starter list of books to add to your storytelling repertoire:
Red: A Crayon's Story by Michael Hall - Though it was probably intended to be an explanation about what being transgender is like, it also serves well for talking about invisible disabilities like dyslexia and autism, which means you can adapt the same story to talk about two different minorities. The gist of the story is that a crayon, called Red, can only draw blue things, no matter how hard they try and none of the other crayons can understand why Red can only draw blue, until another crayon recognizes that there's nothing wrong with Red but rather that they were mislabelled all along.
Families, Families, Families! by Suzanne Lang - A book about how families come in all shapes and sizes. It features a pretty extensive display of different family combinations, such as: gay and lesbian parents, parents that are divorced vs married, families with many kids vs single children, families with single parents (both male and female), families with stepsiblings, kids that live with their grandparents or aunts/uncles, and adopted kids to name a few. They even have the example of kids who have many pets vs kids with no pets!
Prince & Knight by Daniel Haack - A cute story about a prince trying to find a spouse to help him rule; it turns out he's gay and marries a knight instead of a princess.
Think Big! and Boo! by Robert Munsch - Both have Black main characters. While it's important to have stories that focus on the unique experiences and struggles of minorities, it's also important to feature books that have stories where the fact that a character is a minority is incidental and not what the focus of the story is about. These two picture books are great examples of this kind of book.
Lost and Found Cat: The True Story of Kunkush's Incredible Journey by Doug Kuntz and Amy Shrodes - The story of a lost cat's journey to be reunited with his Iraqi refugee family.
Dreamers by Yuyi Morales - The memoir of a Mexican refugee who moved to the United States with her infant son in 1994 and about how even though she left nearly everything she owned behind, she, like all refugees and immigrants, didn’t come empty-handed as they carry their culture, skills, and strengths with them.
Room on Our Rock by Jol Temple and Kate Temple – Three seals are perched on a rock. When others need shelter, do they share it? When read from front to back, the group of seals firmly believe there is no room on their rock for the parent and child seal who are seeking a place to rest. Readers are then encouraged to read the story again, from back to front, revealing a welcoming message where the seals make room for others and share their rock.
My Name Is Yoon by Helen Recorvits – Yoon's name means "shining wisdom," and when she writes it in Korean, it looks happy, like dancing figures. But her father tells her that she must learn to write it in English. In English, all the lines and circles stand alone, which is just how Yoon feels in the United States. Yoon isn't sure that she wants to be YOON. At her new school, she tries out different names.
The Name Jar by Yangsook Choi – Being the new kid in school is hard enough, but what about when nobody can pronounce your name? Having just moved from Korea, Unhei is anxious that American kids will like her. So instead of introducing herself on the first day of school, she tells the class that she will choose a name by the following week. Her new classmates are fascinated by this no-name girl and decide to help out by filling a glass jar with names for her to pick from.

boo. tell me about your ocs
oh dear this is going to take a while.
honestly im pretty tired right now so i might not go as into detail as i might normal but heres the gist of it
5 teenagers get trapped in a time loop mystery trying to figure out who trapped them in a time loop while being hunted down by a cult, the US government, and a varied collection of eldritch gods
to be more specific basicaly the five are trapped in a timeloop and loose most of their memoreis between loops, only really remembering their relationship with the people around them, though each have a special ability allowing them to remember one thing
the characters are:
(heres an old lineup i made of them for reference) (need to remake this at some point)
in order we have
Amelia Augur: genderfluid lesbian artist with an interest in the supernatural and a pet raven named Ray who keeps all memories throughout loops but struggles to communicate anything due to being a bird
Jane Hare: lesbian transfem writer in an abusive relationship with an eldritch mirror god who wakes up with a lymeric every morning crypticly outlining what happened the loop before
Ida Vidya: pansexual aromantic journalist who is obsessed with knowing everything even if it kills her (and it has killed her, many, many, many, many times) who has a camera that keeps 10 pictures over to the next loop
Jack Edmund-Kang: bisexual former jock son of the Mayor with self hatred issues, a dead mother, and a dad he wishes was dead, who has the ability to keep all physical changes to his body between loops, meaning he can grow muscle and learn muscle memory, but also keeps so so so so so many scars. also he can remember all the blood hes seen in any loop
Blake Payne: gay emo transmasc drummer with mommy issues and a knife, who can remember things based off of sound
Special Agent Booker, CIA: a secret agent sent to figure out what is going on in this one town and is given all the government resources and manpower she needs, only to immediately become worsties with a furry
Mayor Kang: jacks father, the mayor of the town, and also a secret cult leader who has lived for hundreds of years protecting an ancient magical artifact called the Pentagramic Pocketwatch that he was planning on using to revive his dead wife, only for it to get stolen and used to trap everybody in a time loop, and him assuming that his son had stolen it and trying to kill him
The Day: Minor god of days who dies every night and is born every day, who was the actual one who stole the Pentagramic Pocketwatch to try and escape having to die over and over agian, though thats not revealed until pretty late in the story
The Mask: Minor god of manipulation who dresses like a furry and manages to immediatly become enemies with the first two women dressed in blue it can find. its by far one of the physicaly weakest characters, but is just really smart and good at outmanuvering everyone so that it can get its hands on the Pentagramic Pocketwatch
The Beast: Minor god of hunting wants to steal the watch for itself and has toxic old man yaoi with the mayor
The Reflection: Minor god of mirrors who is by far the worst person i have ever created.
basicaly the plot is split up into 5 arcs of
the main five find themselves in a time loop oh no
they find out that actualy theres some other weird stuff going on in town
oh shit magic and gods and shit is real?
hey i wonder who actualy stole the pocketwatch if it wasnt us
hey the day has the pocketwatch lets get our hands on it before any of the other people manage to get their hands on it
anyways if you want more clarification you can ask me for specific details later, otherwise heres a link to a different post where i explain everything far more in depth

Okay for the maybe 3 people interested here is a brief overview of the Lesbian Hidekane Tokyo Ghoul AU
Okay so there are 2 main changes in this AU that effects the timeline of events/other little changes:
Hide and Kaneki are women
Kaneki was turned into a ghoul as a child
How I decided this would go is that Kaneki (age 10) would be walking to the store one night to buy herself dinner (as her cannonically neglectful aunt refused to feed her) and she gets kidnapped by a ghoul from Aogiri and then successfully experimented on by Dr.Kanou.
Aogiri wanting to, you know, increase their numbers and have another one-eyed ghoul in their ranks begin to ‘train’ Kaneki into believing in their ideals and to become a lethal fighter. (I don’t think it needs to be said Aogiri doesn’t care she’s a child when it comes to their methods of doing this)
Kaneki is there for 2 years, and for the most part has the willpower to not completely fall to their side. At the end of these 2 years Kaneki goes to a fit of mental instability and rage. This causes the kaguja that Aogiri was trying to make her to be to break lose and she destroys the hideout she is being kept in as it is at it’s weakest.
Then as you would expect she is found by Antieku and begins her mental recovery, although for a very long time she is selectively mute and adverse to touch.
Through Antieku, Kaneki meets Hide, whose dads start becoming regular customers a few months into Kanekis stay. Kaneki was weary at first but because of Hides persistent interest in her and her willingness to meet Kaneki halfway in ways others never did, they quickly form a deep connection.
Kaneki starts going to school eventually when she starts speaking in small bits again and her and Hide become nearly inseparable.
Hide figures Kaneki is a ghoul a feed months after they start being friends but Hides (overly) intense bind with Kaneki at that point makes her not care. She tells kaneki she knows when they are 14. It is a messy tear filled night for Kaneki.
Surprisingly, Kaneki is the one the confess her romantic feelings to Hide when they are 17. Kaneki can barely finish her confession before Hide is all over her, basically in tears over the fact that they both feel the same.
And the rest is a bit the same as cannon. They both go to Kamii, except they share a cute little apartment together, and Kaneki still works at Antieku and Hide is a mole of sorts inside the CCG as a intern.
That’s the main gist, but here are some other things in this AU I can think of rn:
Rize is a member of Aogiri and is Kanekis ‘caretaker’ (using that term extremely loosely)
Kaneki and Ryoko have a mother daughter relationship
Ryoko still dies tho, but it’s when Kaneki is 17
Ayato at least starts out living at Antieku with Touka, I might have a big conflict arc between them were he temp goes to Aogiri
Hide does eventually tell Antieku she knows they are all ghouls
Hide and Kimi are besties u can’t convince me otherwise
Oh and Nishki is apart of Antieku a lot younger
Hide in general is like the 20th wards Iocal Okay Human tm amongst the ghouls
Hides biological parents were ghoul investigators and were killed in action, but she has 2 dads she lives very much and they are like Kanekis second family
After Kaneki and Hide enter college the plot is just kinda ma whatever I feel like at the moment?? Like there are multiple plots that could happen but I’m bad at writing so like I can’t settle on one so it’s just like whatever I want it to be atm.
N e ways I would DIE for them 💕💕💕

Rain by Jocelyn Samara D Year 1: 2010-2011
erSo I recently found out that 1 year ago, a comic that was INCREDIBLY important to me as a trans middle schooler who went to catholic school had wrapped up. This year, I’ve decided I’m going to read through and review Rain by Jocelyn Samara, 1 year of the comic’s run at a time. First up: Year 1, which covers Chapter 1 (The New Girl) through Chapter 6 (Fallen Angel). I’ll be summarizing the story and characters for those unfamiliar, so feel free to follow along.
There’s a LONG-ASS post under that read more. If you have any experience with the comic or enjoy the post, please talk about it with me. It’ll be a good time.
Year 1 Summary
The star of the show is Rain, a transgender 17 year old girl who moved in with her Aunt Fara after her mother’s death. It starts on the first day of her senior year of high school, the first time she’s ever tried to pass as female in front of... anyone???
Based on some of the language used in the character bios, I should be very clear that this comic is from 2010 and written by a trans woman who is most likely older than most of my followers. There may be language used that you personally don’t agree with. I’m not a fan of being called transsexual myself, but there’s nothing wrong with saying it.
Anyway, the basic gist is that Rain passes EXCELLENTLY and attracts a lot of attention from her male classmates, much to her dismay.
But the men aren’t the only people with their eyes on Rain. Lesbian classmate, Maria and her fake boyfriend, Gavin make a bet of 5 United States Dollars out of who can talk to Rain first.
Here’s the rub: During Role, Gavin seems to recognize Rain’s last name. It’s the same as his childhood best friend, Ryan. Gavin and Maria then banter a little bit, jokingly saying “what if that IS Ryan? could ya believe that?”
Little do they know...
One thing about Rain is that its cast of characters is by no means infallible. Even characters that I came to love, like Maria, are kind of insensitive. Just about no one in this cast has ever MET a trans person in their lives prior to Rain. It’s very true to life in that way. You meet a lot of people that are ignorant or accidentally insensitive. And sometimes, they learn to stick up for you.
The realistic portrayal of how trans teens can be treated by other teens is one of my FAVORITE things about Rain.
Anyway, Gavin brings up Ryan Falherty to Rain, which causes her to panic and run away.
And Crash Directly into the fifth member of our main cast, RUDY!!!!
A rather gossipy gay boy that sees up Rain’s skirt and thinks she’s just a REALLY brave gay dude. He tells Gavin and Maria pretty much right away and Gavin does not take it well. The majority of Year 1 is spent on Gavin and Rain repairing their strained friendship after years apart from one another. That begins here, with Gavin confronting Rain about her identity.
Gavin’s super upset about the whole deal, but Maria and Rudy are some of Rain’s biggest shooters going forward. Even if they can ask a LOT of invasive questions.
If I’m being completely honest, there’s no MAJOR developments in Chapter 2. Fara gets a call from Rain’s older Sister about how their older Brother hasn’t talked to either of them in forever. This lays a few seeds for later events, but it is PRETTY unimportant for a while. There’s some really good emotional dialogue in it though.
In Chapter 3, Rudy’s meddling directly causes Rain and Gavin to reconcile. They have a discussion about how the reason she never told him was just that she was scared to lose her only friend.
MEANWHILE, in an attempt to make some actual friends, Fara reaches out to her neighbors and meets Ky(lie) and Heather Coven, a Gender Ambiguous Teen who goes to a different high school and her less approving older sister.
Kylie, also known as Ky, swaps gender presentations incredibly frequently, not really showing any bias for one or the other. So do not expect me to be consistent with their pronouns. Their gender is kinda messy. Almost like he’s some kind of... real person with a real life gender. Crazy.
Anyway, Fara invites them over and she and Heather get drunk, which means she can’t pick up Rain from the mall. Rain needs a place to sleep that night and Gavin invites her to stay with him.
This begins Chapter 4, in which Gavin and Rain realize that things may be different from when they were kids... but there’s a lot that hasn’t changed. Gavin remarks about how much more feminine Rain is than when she was a kid and how that’s WEIRD for him... but they end up playing a game from their childhood pretty much all night. It reminds them of all the good times and ignites within them the hope that they can have MORE good times going forward.
As an adult with friends I’ve had on-and-off relationships to, this speaks to me way more powerfully than ever before. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
The next day, during her hangover, Fara sees Rain’s older brother on an ad for a dating website with his new fiance.
And on the way back to her apartment, Rain meets Ky for the first time. Neither one of them is aware that the other one has ANY kind of Gender going on and they won’t be for quite some time.
The chapter ends with Aunt Fara telling Rain about what happened with Aiken.
Chapter 5 is a simple one, Popular prep girl, Emily is giving out invitations to a Halloween party for her “perfect senior year”
Everyone but Rudy gets one, which causes Maria to give Emily a talking to. She assures Maria that he wasn’t intentionally excluded and it definitely wasn’t because he’s the only openly gay student in the whole school.
Oh, also a dude beats Rudy up for that exact reason, earning Maria’s fury later on. Rain invites Ky to come with the rest of them to the party.
Like I said, pretty simple chapter.
The last chapter of year 1 is Chapter 6: Fallen Angel.
Everyone is showing off their Halloween costumes before they leave for the party. Rudy’s reads as a bit insensitive to rain, as he goes as.... a high school girl.
We’ve all heard this one, right? young queer person that wants to toy with their gender expression uses a Halloween costume as an excuse? It can hit different watching your friend do this when you’re a stealth trans person and especially when you’re one as self-conscious as Rain.
When they reach the address for the party, they find out that Emily... has an older Boyfriend. Like, a WAY older boyfriend. Who lets all these literal teenaged children drink at a party in HIS HOUSE.
also he’s dressed as the devil in case you needed any more signals he was BAD NEWS.
This sounds like a good time for an aside: Fara is on a date with someone she met online. He works at a manga translator and offers to get Rain a meeting with her favorite mangaka.
Meanwhile, at the party, Chase seems to recognize Rain from somewhere. What could this mean?
Anyway, remember how I mentioned the underage drinking? Yeah, Rudy is HELLA drunk. And the results are not pretty.
The whole school sees this and is... BAFFLED. Because of course, Rudy is gay. how could he kiss a girl? Did he do it because he was dressed as a girl? Was it the alcohol? was RAIN Gay? Who knows?
The chapter ends on Rain riding home in tears.
Thus ends the first year of Rain.
Art
Ok, let’s talk about the elephant in the room. This art is... not too impressive. Every character looks like they jumped out of a How to Draw Manga book and Rain’s design is VERY 2010. Backgrounds are infrequent and many panels feature just 2 characters next to each other against a flat color.
But I think that’s okay. While the visual design of Rain is not immaculate, it’s certainly passable. Samara had a story to tell and she didn’t let her art hold her back. She just took pen to paper and let it go. As the comic goes along, you can tell she’s trying different things and experimenting with drawing a variety of poses. That said, the art style never really changes at all during the comic’s run.
Pure Unfiltered Story Opinions
Rain was one of the first real queer stories I’d gotten a chance to read. At the ripe, young age of 12, every word of it was unreal to me. A girl like me made REAL friends in spite of it all and got to be who she was. And now, reading it again, it really holds up.
Rain has a depiction of queer friendships that’s very true to a lot of peoples’ lived experience. Not everyone GETS each other, but they try. Sometimes, they ask a stupid-ass question. Sometimes, you get into fights.
Also, sometimes people in your high school get prayed upon by creepy weirdos in their late 20s who think they can get easy tail from CHILDREN. (Trust, people. This gets addressed. This is NOT a fucking glorification and if anyone in the notes says it is, they’re blocked.)
I look forward to seeing where the comic goes from here and I hope you’re ready to take that journey with me.

Hi! This is my new side-blog!
You can call me Thalia, or Thals (hard t, silent h) My pronouns are she/he/they, I’m a genderfluid transfem lesbian.
I’ve been on kink tumblr more often lately, and I wanted a place to reblog stuff without being horny on main, so here we are!
This is gonna be a temporary “pinned” post until I make a more in-depth one with some info about me, and maybe even kinks and limits for spicy asks and dms ;) we’ll see! The gist of it is that it varies from moment to moment whether I wanna be a mommy-domme or a needy good girl, so there’s that.
Anyway, I follow and like from thals-gr27, so that’s where you can find stuff about which fandoms I like, if ur interested at all! There’s not much, and it’s mostly old stuff, but it’s there lol.

I know my handwriting's not readable sooooo
Dynamite C. (She/they asexual lesbian :3)
Born outside the main part of Equestria. A much more densely populated area, a lot more technology. I'd like to explore the world around the Mane 6 in a way that feels natural and as close to canon as possible. the last time I watched MLP, friendship is magic? three years ago, why do you ask?
Anyways after their move it was incredibly hard for them to make friends, not only was there a language barrier, but culture differences, allergies, her literally being mute and barely being able to catch the gist of conversations made it really hard to adjust. She moved to Ponyville with her father after a huge brand deal forced them to move closer to a specific mine.
Dynamite always had a really strong connection to music, specifically having to do with the drums. It reminded her of home, where there were always loud explosions shaking the earth. Thus, she put up posters advertising a band. There were a lot of sign ups.
There was one pony left. (Who'll be revealed at a later date :p)
Let's move on for now, yeah?
The most important thing about Dynamite is her magic. She's not very good at lifting or pushing and pulling things, but where she's from, there's so much machinery that that kind of magic is basically useless. Instead, transformative magic was highly valued. Turning rocks into shinier rocks, or turning rocks into a highly explosive substance to quickly clear large areas, or turning rocks into apples to feed the ponies or— Well, you get the point.
Dynamite studied a lot for this. It puts the pony body under a lot of stress, because you have to have an innate understanding of each molecule inside of the material you're transforming. Her father always told her to take breaks, but unable to properly communicate their ideas across, they simply piled on the work.
That's all, folks. Have a nice day. Thanks for listening to my rant.
