My mom trying to figure out how I dealt last year in uni when I was pretty depressed (we both know I'm not the best at coping and can get lost in my head), telling me "it's okay, you can tell me if you turned to alcohol or..."
Well yeah I did overdose.... on Doctor Who mainly. I dealt by watching around 3 months worth of TV
#okay sorry for dumping a bunch of personal shit#she wouldn't get it. need to teach her how to experience joy#she doesn't understand how much of a saving grace hyperfixating really is sometimes#also i'm okay now just saying#it didn't obviously stop me being depressed but a big reason I was depressed is I felt where I was everyone was pretty hollow#and the place was sterile and the landscape was fucking depressing. like i need trees okay?#felt like i was living in a paper town#and like a cultural vacum#you love science but live for art and all that#and dw is such a chaotic mess of joy and sorrow and everything I was like “yeah i'm living”#also the socialism. was sick of everyone around me being a bunch of brainless sheep spouting capitalist nonsense#hyperfixated on at least 10 other medias too#loved watching other ppl also doomed by the narrative. it was relatable and that was comforting

Yandere!Five/Reader (platonic/headcanons)
the story contains: spoilers for season 4 (+ some changes in plot), yandere!five(-s), strictly platonic, five here is in his 20s (physically) and in his late 60s (mentally), overprotective old man five, soft yan!Five, OOC cuz it's yanderes 🤷
I really like to imagine Five being overprotective over someone young and still full of joy. You can be either a kid of one of his siblings, or just a random child he found during his time in The Commission. It wouldn't be that far away from reality, The Handler took little Lila and trained her to do the dirty job, no one would be surprised if that creepy woman ends up kidnapping another child born on October 1st for herself.
Either way, Five is a good familial figure. We all saw how he acts towards little Grace, making small cheering comments from time to time to his niece when she is enjoying her birthday party. I expect him to be much softer if it's someone who is always close to him and constantly tags along with Five. Let's say, he knows you enough to let you go with him at the end of Season 3, since all of his siblings left, he basically has no other choice but to be the only one who has to protect you.
At first, he might get a little irritated because of it. It's not because he finds you annoying or hates being around kids. The problem is, he is not a social person himself. He never had a proper childhood because he spent 45 years stuck in the apocalypse. Then his time in The Commission, stuck with people either invading his personal space, or always staring at him due to him being him. The man got no time for a good rest. He also got no experience in how he should take care of a kid.
Despite a good bag of problems on his back, like the fact that he is still considered a child himself because of his appearance, no job, no money, no place to stay, he somehow gets everything you need. It would probably cost him a lot of pride to sacrifice, people constantly saying «Aww, are you looking after your little sibling at such age? Where are your parents?» makes him want to say something snarky, but he would bite his tongue, since he doesn't want people to ask more questions. He is used to doing everything on his own, dealing with every trouble by no one but himself because it's how he got things done for ages. Not so surprising, Five is pretty good at it.
When he gets his job as a CIA agent, he does not get so much time to be with you, he's more busy even though he is «the one of the professional young agents», trying to investigate more and more. But I believe that he would absolutely think about you during his work, he would go nonchalantly in his mind «Should I buy them the cereal with that dumb colourful toy inside? No, that stuff has too much sugar for someone their age—», which is pretty ironic since Five has a little sweet tooth himself, knowing his famous toasts with peanut butter and marshmallows. He doesn't give you a chance to eat that stuff too much anyways, because he believes « You'll get to eat those when you grow older», while you probably pout and tug on his clothes, trying to make him share with you this tasty sweet thing with tons of deadly sugar! He will give up after a good 15 minutes of you jumping around, being noisy and whiney, so he would roll his eyes and give you like less than 1/3 of the toast, saying 'here is your half, happy now?🙄'. At least he managed to keep you quiet for some time, while he can focus on some little time of his rest.
Five wants you to be independent just like him. Mainly because he doesn't want to think about potential scenarios where you are without him, all defenseless and have no idea what to do. He will teach you everything, how to protect yourself, how to use the oven, who you should call immediately if something happens (he will probably write a phone number with a marker on your wrist, since kids tend to be forgetful and easily distracted and he does NOT take such a risk).
But Five would never push or press on you, he doesn't want to make another child assassin with childhood trauma, think of it as a grandfather taking you to the lake to teach you how to fish. He is constantly near your side, guiding gently but firmly, to you it's mostly about having fun but also learning new things. Five will praise you, give you some advice and will pet your head if you do something right. I do believe he is overprotective, that he doesn't want to even let you near anything dangerous, but he's also paranoid that if another apocalypse comes back, you should be able to survive.
When Five gets his powers back and reunites with his siblings, you will always be with him. Of course I can imagine him having a nanny to call so you would be away from all his family stuff and there is someone whom he can trust enough, but...he might trust himself more than anyone else (but also it's more interesting for the story than you being somewhere away from all the fun lol). When weird things start to happen, Five is looking for anyone even slightly suspicious. Why is this Elf Guy looking at him? Is that guy looking at YOU ? Stop looking at his kid!
Thankfully for him, you weren't around when Lila and Five stuck in that subway. But instead of spending years here, giving up on the idea of coming back home, that would never happen. Because come on, it's Five. He would never give up on coming back to his family and you, someone he also considers as a part of his family. Maybe they're not ideal, they might hate each other, sometimes even annoy him, but he would never allow himself at least a single minute of proper rest since he believes that his only priority is to come back to people he cares about.
The moment he finds the notes on how to come back, he will do it in an instant. When he sees his family safe - he is happy, even though he would hide his inner feelings. You're a little confused when he just hugs you tightly to his chest all of the sudden, sighing in relief the moment he realizes you're with him. Still the same little you, not a single change in your appearance. « Something happened?» you ask softly, carefully placing your arms around him. for some reason, it feels weird. he was never a person who could hug you just because he feels like it. the only time he might give you that it's only if you initiate it, needing comfort because you were afraid of storm or just woke up from the nightmare. « No, no, just stay like that for a little bit,» Five whispers, trying to calm his racing heart. he's thankful that this body at least can take all the stress he constantly experiences in his life. you are probably surprised and confused but he doesn't care about it now. he just came back to you after years of being apart. at least for him it was, for you — a few hours. Despite how unusual it makes you feel, you don't question it, you will give him all the comfort he deserves after whatever he went through.
A good happy ending we deserve would probably be Five (accidentally) taking you to this buffet full of his other versions. You're probably so shy and awkward to see all of them, so you stick closer to him, holding his hand. Five is a little more protective too, he doesn't trust his other selves as we know. I can imagine a little you being so scared to even make a single move, because the moment you look away, you might get lost! Is that your Five? Or is it the one who's near the other table? Why is that Five drunk? When did he find the apron?? But all of them are very nice to you. Five who works as a waiter would gladly help you to find your guardian and maybe he'll spoil you with food they serve here— Your Five is definitely not happy with how much attention you gain from.. other versions of him, but he knows that they all care the same of you.

Thoughs on Transfem Luffy? Personally I actually love this concept, some of my main hcs are:
- She comes out after Garp leaves her with Dadan so when he first sees her bounty posters he thinks he is going crazy at first
- Design is literally the same but with pigtails and the classic op girl eyes
- She casually nentions being trans after a visit from Chopper and everybody is cool with that. (Exept sanji)
- Amazpn Lily is a nightmare at first but after explaining herself Boa makes misgendering her a crime
- Impel Down is a lot more interesting
- Akainu is the only transphobic person in op and he gets his ass beaten
- Sabo cries (of joy) at Dressrosa for her
- Wano is more interesting too
Very very positive thoughts about transfem Luffy. She's my beloved. My little ball of chaos. The same exact as our canon Luffy but with different pronouns and somehow I imagine her to be even more unhinged because you wouldn't expect a cutie pie like her to be so damn chaotic.
Honestly, the whole thing is just something so cute to me. Makino? Dadan? Ace? Sabo? Shanks? They'd all support her like crazy. Ace and Sabo would beat the shit out of anyone saying anything bad about her while Makino teaches her (and her brothers) how to do her hair so it doesn't bother her while playing/running/training. This makes even more sense now because both Shanks and Dragon give major girl dad energy, so of course they'd love her (thinking about Dragon seeing the first Wanted poster and being thrilled about it and mourning a bit not being able to see her). Uta!!! Uta would tell her to be more feminine and delicate but she'd end up being charmed by her freedom, so she'd also beat the shit out of anyone who doesn't consider her sister a girl. Luffy is very nonchalant and careless about these things but is very stubborn so she gets frustrated when someone doesn't respect her identity. She's all like "I am a girl but I still wanna do stuff boys do, y'know? It just feels right to do whatever I want but, uh, as a girl. It makes sense".
Not to mention that she'd come out in the worst moment possible, in the most sudden way, and everyone in the crew would accept her but they'd be so astonished because Luffy is just so damn stupid and blunt sometimes. Also, I think it'd be good for Sanji to learn about trans girls... It'd help Sanji... In so many ways... The closet is glass for Sanji too but this isn't about her...
Amazon Lily is even better because Boa and Luffy would've been even greater friends (even though I love the whole "Luffy being the only guy she feels safe with" I also think that Boa acknowledging trans girls in an island specifically for women would be awesome).
Akainu can go rot in hell. If someone's transphobic in this show, it is him only.
Sabo!!!!!!! Sabo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sabo would be the best brother ever to his sister. I just know that he'd be even more protective than he is now even knowing she can protect herself. Like that's his baby sister!!! And he'd be so happy to see her again and realizing she has the family and support she has always wanted!! The fact that she lives free and by her own ideals is enough for Sabo to be the happiest.
Wano is more interesting because she'd actually relate to Yamato's experience!!!!!!!! Trans besties!!!!!!!!! And Kiku!!!!!! Wano truly is the trans arc...
Overall, I believe she'd be the exact same as she is now but would easily get bothered by people telling her she's not a girl or saying that she isn't girly enough. She'd be ruthless and yet the cutest thing ever. Btw, she'd still go shirtless/topless even if she gets boobs because she does not care about it lmao--
I've been saying we need more Luffy female protagonists, tbh. It'd be soooo good for the story and would add more to the topics of freedom and liberation.
#okay now let's make sanji realize she's a girl thanks to her captain and then we make them kiss and we turn all of this into yuri lusan#no but really this whole concept is just sooo sweet and i adore it#any trans headcanon is amazing but this one in specific just feels so right to me#even though i am team 'non binary luffy' this whole thing is also amazing#honestly any character can be better if we turn them into women#one piece#monkey d. luffy#transfem luffy#ask-bean!

Request - Devlin brain rot now
Tw's - lots of bouncing around, Devlin lacking fatherly love cause he's a piece of sh-, Devlin being scared about Kerano's presents and nearly peeing his pants, phantom limb (?), Devlin crying cause Kerano is so sweet and precious
Genre - Random thoughts
Type - head canons
Random thoughts
- I like to think he does smol little doodles when he's bored or doesn't have any inspiration to do some inventing
- He is like, the perfect dad. We all can agree on that, but I feel like he wouldn't actually want kids after Kerano
- He's more or less work oriented, and likes to focus on his work, and small toddlers and such would add a lot of stress.
- Going off of the true ending, he more than likely works in a shop or something making bots, or runs a shot due to him being a previous forge master.
- So he makes a pretty decent living on that alone.
- I like to imagine he made his own arm prosthetic before he was deemed a forge master but the holy GBA probably has his own explanation on the arm (if so let me know cause I'm very curious about that 🙏🙏)
- Devlin is so proud of Albus for fighting against the souls that possess the sword that then possessed Albus 🤧🤧
- Did Devlin experience phantom limb when he first became a forge master?? Cause he can technically "touch" things, but it's not his flesh and bone arm, now it's this robotic arm instead
- Are there touch sensors or something in the arm? Has he modified it at all to fit his needs? Is he given permission to modify his arm?
- Dream world✨ Devlin commissioned Faithful to make some paintings for his tavern. It was feeling bare and he had connections to a painter he cared for
- His father didn't praise him enough when he was little, Paladin Knight York probably wanted Devlin to be a knight like him but Devlin is too brainy for such brutal work
- So like, there was a gap between him and his father while growing up, so he tried making up for it with the ship and such
- And any praise he gets from you he treasures very dearly, as well as Albus but he won't admit it
- Kerano is his pride and joy
- He almost went into cardiac arrest when Kerano called him dad the first time instead of "Mr. Devlin"
- I don't know if there's Christmas but if there is (I'm feeling festive shhhh) he spends a whole month thinking of what Kerano could want, and how to make her first Christmas with him (or first Christmas altogether) very special and full of smiles, true ending duh
- Listen, listen, he almost pissed himself when Kerano opened her first present out for fear that she wouldn't like it
- He's genuinely concerned whenever Albus says.. things while he fights the creatures during the journey to the core
- He silently listens to Faithful teaching Albus how to read and write, and he thanks you for it cause it shows how much you genuinely care about his brother, never comments on you trying to teach him out of fear Albus would stop trying to learn
- Would be very proud if there was a day Albus could just write his name, probably being a tear to his eyes
Notes - I love Devlin, I swear, but Albus will always be my favorite <333

Lucile had reached an age where she could shoulder more responsibilities, and her mother, Helena, gladly taught her the skills needed to run a household. Together, they worked tirelessly to keep the house clean, tend to the laundry, and prepare hearty dinners.
As Silas immersed himself in his usual tinkering in the shed, Eddy called for Lucile to join him in one of the fenced barn areas.
"Come along, Lucile," Eddy said in his gentle yet firm voice, "there's something I want to show you."
Lucile accompanied her father to the pen where she was met with a heartwarming surprise - a young foal standing there, all fuzzy and adorable. It was a sight she had never witnessed before, as her father had always brought home fully grown horses for their farm and carriage.
Lucile's eyes widened with excitement as she took in the sight. "Oh, papa! He's so small and cute! When did you get him?" she asked, unable to contain her enthusiasm.
Eddy beamed with pride, gently patting the foal's rear. "I just got HER," he corrected with a chuckle. "You're growing up, Lucile, and I thought it was time for you to have your own horse. I remember the first time my father gave me and my siblings our first horses, and I wanted you to have the same experience."
Lucile stood in awe, her heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nervousness. Her very own horse? She couldn't believe it was real, and she wasn't sure if she was truly ready for such a responsibility.
Eddy sensed his daughter's hesitation and reassured her with a warm smile. "I named her Lady, but you can change it if you like. When I saw her colors, I immediately thought of you. Now, having a horse comes with a lot of work and responsibility, but don't you worry, I'll teach you everything you need to know," he said, patting Lady gently on the neck.
He then stepped to the side and pulled out a bottle, handing it to Lucile. "Take this, I'll show you how to feed her properly. It's important to know what she likes and how much she needs to stay strong and healthy," he explained.
Lucile accepted the bottle from her father, feeling the warmth of his guidance as he gently positioned her hands to hold it just right for the foal. Lady seemed just as excited as she was and eagerly latched onto the bottle, causing Lucile to giggle and almost lose her grip. But Eddy was there, steadying her hand with a reassuring smile.
Eddy laughed "She's eager to eat, just like you were when you were a little one."
Lucile blushed, remembering the times when she was just a child, full of energy and curiosity. Now, she was taking care of a young horse, and she felt a sense of responsibility and pride in the task.
As Lady continued to feed, Lucile's nervousness slowly melted away, replaced by a deep affection for the beautiful foal.
As the foal, Lady, finished her bottle, Lucile gently caressed her long mane and couldn't help but smile with pure joy. "Thank you, Father," she said, her voice filled with gratitude and determination. "I promise I'll take the best care of her!"
Eddy and Lucile stepped out of the pen, and Lady, full of youthful energy, trotted around in the nearby pasture.
"I know you will, Lucile," he said, nodding approvingly. "You'll be ridin' her like a pro in no time. And then, we can go on rides together. "
"Yes, Father," Lucile softly replied, her smile fading for a brief moment. Eddy noticed the change in her demeanor and gently placed a hand on her shoulder.
"What's the matter, Little Dove?" he asked, concern evident in his voice. "You won't hurt Lady, horses are strong and gentle creatures."
" N-no, Father. " Lucile stammered, looking back at the shed where they could hear Silas working with his tools. She tried to speak softly, so that Silas wouldn't overhear, yet not too quietly to arouse suspicion. " It's just that... I noticed you didn't gift Silas a horse, and I know he desperately wants your approval. Won't Silas be upset? Maybe he should have Lady since he's the eldest? "
Eddy listened attentively, partially concerned but then relaxed, hearing his daughter's response. Lucile might've been afraid to evoke Silas's anger, but Eddy was not. "Don't you worry about Silas, Lucile. If I thought he was grown enough for his own horse, I would've gotten him one," he replied firmly.
"That boy's got his eyes on other things, and I'm not going to give him a responsibility I know he wouldn't take care of. If he decides he wants to go for a ride, he can struggle on one of our workhorses; they do just fine."
Lucile let out a reassuring sigh in her mind; she knew her father was right. Silas barely gave any of the farm animals the time of day outside of chores, and adding horse responsibility on top of that would likely overwhelm him anyway. She fidgeted with her fingers and gave a warm smile to Eddy.
Despite Silas's cruel behavior towards her, she knew he wouldn't dare do anything drastic – Eddy would be livid if he tried. Lucile felt a sense of gratitude towards her father as she looked at him with affectionate eyes. "Thank you, Papa, Lady is Perfect."

The Toxin's effect (part49)
"Will you keep staring at me or finally tell me how to mix this toxin? I don't like to waste my time on any stupid hoax" Scarlet crossed her arms with a frown after she and Scarecrow entered a house far away from the city. She thought he'd show her his little skills and tricks, but instead, he just kept staring at her the whole time silently like a psychopath his new victim. He seemed clueless, maybe a little overwhelmed. He had no idea what to do now, but at the same time, he didn't want to seem idiotic so he just stared at her.
Scarecrow was thinking though, thinking of what to do with Scarlet. He knew her, she liked manipulating people and using them for her good. He knew Scarlet just wanted to learn how to mix a toxin to kill more and more people, she just wanted to exercise her power over something she couldn't control, yet. But teaching her without profiting from the situation? Nah, Scarecrow wouldn't be a fan of it. If he showed someone his tricks and secrets it would be someone he trusted a lot, someone with who he had a strong bond - but this wasn't Scarlet. He didn't trust her at all, the reason he wanted her to be with her now, he didn't know either. Maybe it was because his father never reached this goal to have her with him. His father never had the chance to touch her, to speak with her, to look at her; he never had the chance to experience Scarlet as a whole - but Scarecrow did. He had all this, he now could do whatever he wanted to do with her, but for that, he needed to have an idea at first.
"Alright," Scarlet chuckled, walking a few steps forward to Scarecrow and looking at him deep into his eyes "I know this may be something big for you since your father never had the chance to get me, you can't believe that I'm standing in front of you and that you have the chance to fulfill all your hidden plans if you approach it correctly. But you never thought this would become true, right? You thought it remained a dream"
"Your manipulation tricks ain't working on me, Scarlet," Scarecrow claimed "My father and I studied you and your behavior long enough to know you are just a dazzler. Your behavior is a pure show consisting of hiding all your fears and insecurities from all the people that might not treat you with respect"
"Oh really?" Scarlet chuckled amused "You seem to know me better than I do but don't all the fans know the celebrities better than themselves?" she started joking "But jokes aside, I bet you hide all your fears behind your little costume. You're not a strong fearful man, behind your mask you're a little boy that never got a voice and right now, you're trying to show the world that you've been underestimated by everyone"
"I could say the same to you. You're nothing but a broken girl. You've never got the love and attention from your mommy and daddy which kids need. You got only hate and indignity in your life, no one told you they were proud of you when you did a task, and no one has ever told you they loved you when you needed it most" Scarecrow looked Scarlet deep in the eyes - he knew he got her. The shining and joy in her eyes faded completely and her eyes darkened - everything that was connected with joy, happiness, and excitement just vanished.
"At least I don't need a mask to cover my insecurities and fears," Scarlet chuckled darkly "See, a mask just signals to other people that you are too scared to show all of us your face and personality. You're too scared that anybody would recognize you and report you to the police, your too scared of the incoming consequences you need to go through afterward"
"You may be right at some point," Scarecrow started walking around Scarlet "Not everybody loves this thrill like you. Some prefer to hide in the dark as I do," Scarecrow stopped right behind her, he now had an idea of how to make use of her "But you see, before I show my weapon's secrets, I would prefer making a pact between you and me. I don't trust people like you. People like you lie a lot, they prey on everyone they see as a victim, they're megalomaniacs who think they could reach any goal in the world to become the greatest showman. But as well, I know people like you are huge fans of pacts and contracts since these guarantee you the benefit from any situation"
"Wow, someone's playing the high-intelligent card," Scarlet chuckled amused "You're not wrong, I'm indeed a fan of pacts but you also need to consider that I do not agree with each of them. It depends on the people who offer me such pacts, whether I can trust them or whether they can guarantee their loyalty. You know, why should I agree on a pact when this certain fellow has none of it, you understand me?"
"Oh, but I know you will agree to my pact since you long for learning to mix my toxin and you have no other choice than working with me," Scarecrow hummed "Without me, you'll never find out the secret behind it"
"That may be true," Scarlet turned to him with a huge smile, their faces were close to each other and their eye contact was oddly intense "But don't you think I'm smart enough to simply steal your little ampoule and analyze the substances you put in there? I mean, I have enough contacts who could do that for me"
"Oh, I know you are," Scarecrow snickered "You are like a dog that never stops biting until it gets what it wants. You don't think about consequences or anything, you're too stubborn to accept a simple no"
"That's what pacts are there for," Scarlet murmured slightly sarcastically "Now tell me about yours. I'm all ears" She hoped for something easy to do to gain his trust, something like a robbery or a simple kill, nothing she needed to overthink things too much or where she needed to put too much effort into it.
"The easiest way to get what you want is proving to me your loyalty," Scarecrow chuckled amusedly when he saw her blank face, he knew this was a hard one for her since Scarlet was the one who let others prove their loyalty to her. She never needed to be loyal to anybody besides Jerome and eventually Theo Galavan - but even there she didn't need to make a single move since both of them came to her and wanted her.
"And how do you wanna make me do that? Want me to do some easy tasks for you to show I would be able to help you?" Scarlet frowned "You know this isn't a real task for me, eh? That would be like asking a police officer to catch a criminal, you know"
"I know," Scarecrow spoke in a nasal tone "That's why tasks and favors won't be enough for me," He walked over to a little table with many test tubes, a bunsen burner, and many chemicals in different colors. Most of them were in several yellow and green tones, some sheer liquids, and other tools that Scarlet had no clue how to name "Use your creativity, you always claim to be so clever, right?"
"Right," Scarlet mumbled, looking over his shoulder to see what liquids he used to mix new toxins "But you do know proving loyalty to another reveals your secret wish of a partnership with me. Why else would you wanna make such a deal with me, right? You indeed wanna reach that what your father could have never gotten - my nearness. And now since you're surprisingly astonished at me you can't finalize what your father's plan is with me," She chuckled "No, you want more. You don't just wanna know my biggest fears - you wanna know everything about me a-..."
"Wow," Scarecrow commented "It's fascinating how much you can interpret into a single claim," Though he knew what she said was true. He wanted to work with her, he wanted to make good use of her skills and tricks, he wanted to learn from her, he wanted to get to know her - but a personal ambition like this couldn't become true by just asking Scarlet friendly. She instead would make use of your vulnerability and play with your mind so that you'd become her stooge for life, and so he needed to trick her that she would just slide into it "Your fantasy is just amazing"
"Is it just fantasy?" Scarlet crossed her arms with a slight frown "I can see you're lying. Your pupils widen when you stare at me and I hear your breath becomes uneven when you speak - you're nervous, my friend, because you know I'm right"
"We have a deal now or not?" Scarecrow asked in a monotonous tone when he mixed the last substances to complete "Think wise, choose your answer wise. I won't offer you this a second time," He then filled the done liquid in some more ampoules and put them in his bags quickly before he turned back to Scarlet.
"Sure," Scarlet mumbled; she wasn't very amused about working for it but she was ambitious, and she knew she could make it "But you should prove loyalty, either. How can I trust someone when there's no guarantee he can keep his promise? I mean, you can just babble any hoax on me and use me for your good," She grinned darkly at him "You don't wanna make me mad, do you?"
"This energy we need when we attack people," Scarecrow claimed "Keep that energy for those moments, it'll be worth it," He chuckled bitterly "And now, we come to the next part of my plan"
"What next part?" Scarlet frowned before Scarecrow could say anything further. He had a plan? Was it his plan to find her? And all this was a part of his plan? This deal with her, and this second part of her plan? Did he plan to work with her and he was just messing with her head before?
"Do you think I make a deal with you without having a plan?" Scarecrow chuckled amused "I'm not like your so-called pals and jump straight into action on the fly, I'm smarter than them. Thanks to my father I've latched on to a lot of things by hearing whenever he was working"
"You're a little daddy's boy, huh" Scarlet laughed out loud "That's cute for such a supervillain like you. Didn't know people like me could have such a caring side" She then eyed Scarecrow with a grin "Now tell me, lil boy, what did your father teach you that you became such a super brain?"
"My father was a huge fan of planning and structuring," Scarecrow said "Whenever he planned to attack people he created a main plan and several band-aids in case one mistake would happen. He hated making mistakes after certain incidents and he wouldn't dare to let something like this happen again. You may know this little disaster, don't you?" He chuckled amused "I wanna be better than him, instead of leading from any made mistake I instantly plan well"
"Not bad for a newbie," Scarlet smirked "I'm sure we gonna have a lot of fun together, Mr. Scarecrow, so now tell me about your plan, I'm curious" She loved to see there was someone who agrees with her point of view, someone who understood her why having several band-aids were so important. It would
be a breeze with Scarecrow spreading this toxin throughout the whole city and watching people die of their fear. How amazing could that be? No hard work and getting the biggest profit!
"We pay Arkham Asylum a visit to test it, eh," Scarecrow placed his hand on her shoulder "We will surprise the lovely director and spray it right into his face to see how the oh-so-prudent man turns into a-..."
"I like your idea of a retaliation campaign," Scarlet admitted, "And how will you make sure to break in without someone catching us?" She frowned "The guards ain't that stupid any more than at the time I was there. It all changed, the personal, the boss, and regulations. It ain't the same old wreck as before"
"But every wreck has holes to sneak in, right?"

"I'm surprised," Scarlet claimed when Scarecrow and she walked through the halls of Arkham Asylum to arrive at the director's office at a fast pace "Arkham's got the same old spots to sneak in as in the past. I thought they finally fixed this problem"
"Some things never change," Scarecrow answered "Arkham is nothing but a place full of corrupt cops and holes to sneak in. Nothing's safe there, even the dumbest patients find a way to escape, but I'm sure you already know it from your own experience"
"Sure, as long as you can guarantee to escape the same way we got in. I don't wanna spend another time in this rat hole, even though I've had some interesting experiences in here," Scarlet muttered when she then discovered the director's office. She and probably Scarecrow too heard noises like panting, something's burning, and mumbling "Over there"
"You're now ready to see the toxin's ramifications on people, Scarlet?" Scarecrow tightened the grip on his scythe when they both walked straight to the office, he was excited for this moment "Are you ready to see the transformation of a human being into an anxious little deer that's running away from the wolfpack?"
"Hell, yes I am," Scarlet said excitingly. She was excited to see how these toxin works, at least Scarecrow could just have babbled some shit about it.
Now he could finally take revenge on the man who let people do all those cruel things to Scarecrow while he was in Arkham, the time before his advancement. Right now, his only target was revenge on the man who did all this to him. He should feel all the anxiety and sorrow he has felt during the time he was there. He should feel degraded, humiliated, and like a piece of shit that no one wanted. He should feel helpless, caught in jail or a labyrinth with no way out - and this is what his toxin was good for.
When they entered the office, they saw the director burning some papers in a bin, probably to hide something from the public. He seemed scared of something since he did it so hectically, he probably wanted to keep some bad secrets for his own. No one should probably know what a bad person he was.
"Covering your dirty footprints, Warden?" Scarecrow claimed when he started slowly walking towards the man while his scythe's blade scratched on the chattels. The man instantly turned around to him, frightened, he looked at Scarecrow as if he had seen a ghost. Who was that guy? How did he know him? What did he want from him? "It's too late, I'm afraid. Your dirty deeds have stained you."
"How'd you get in here?" Warden dared to ask with a slight stammer, then he looked at Scarlet "Scarlet Patel... How did you-..." He was shocked to see her, she was the Grin Reaper in person. Whenever she was around, people died, no matter whether it was with her hand or not.
"Come on," Scarecrow chuckled "You don't spend three years in this hellish place without picking up a thing or two. Right, Scarlet?" He didn't break eye contact at all with Warden when he rammed the scythe into the table plate. He wanted to see Warden's reaction - he was frightened, but at the same time he realized something. Three years in Arkham? A young boy? And this Scarecrow costume? There had to be a connection. This all sounded so familiar. Was it him? No, he was so anxious and so innocent. How could it be him?
"Indeed, pal," Scarlet chuckled amusedly when she stepped nearer, too "My time in Arkham was marvelous. You heard Gotham's newest gossip through the guards, for therapy, you've been walking through every hall so you know every path of the building to escape, and you've made some great acquaintances"
"Johnathan?" Warden dared to ask, he completely ignored what Scarlet said. He was more interested in the question: Was it him? All the hints might fit with him, the scarecrow, the three years...everything.
"That's right," Scarecrow answered, walking nearer to Warden "I'm not the same frightened boy you threw in a cell. No treatment, no therapy. Just some ice baths, and some sick electric shocks once in a while!"
"You know you could just leave. I wouldn't tell anyone," Warden stammered, his anxiety rising. He knew this day would be his last one to live. He saw this fire in Johnathan's eyes, he wanted him to feel the same things he has felt during the three tears, revenge was written on his so-called forehead.
"I don't wanna leave, Warden, and I'm sure Scarlet doesn't wanna leave either," But before Scarecrow could keep talking, Warden's phone was ringing, for Warden himself, it was just perfect since this would give him some extra minutes to live, depending on the call's importance - he thought wrong. When he wanted to answer the call, Scarecrow smashed his scythe against the phone, destroying it with all the power he had.
"Now, are you paying attention?!" Scarecrow yelped angrily when Waren flinched back not to get hurt. He was extremely scared of the old little Johnathan boy, he would have never thought this anxious boy would become so aggressive and have brutal thoughts. For Scarlet, it was pure entertainment. You should have seen Waren's face! It was full of angst, you could see he was secretly begging for someone to come and help him, and at the same time, he knew there was no way out.
"Yeah," Warden stammered, walking a few steps back to lean against a shelf, making intensive eye contact with Scarecrow. He was erratic, Warden thought, what did he do to himself that he became such an outrageous man? He wasn't himself anymore, the anger and madness were taking over. He became a monster, his inner monster broke out of jail of mind and now was messing with his head.
"I cured myself. You see, I feared the scarecrow," Scarecrow reached his arms out, and you could feel his grin under his mask "And now we are one"
"Johnathan, please. If you just-..."
"You're not listening to me, Warden!" Scarecrow yelled that Warden flinched in fear "Johnathan Crane is no more! Call me by my true name! The Scarecrow!" This was the moment when Warden was trying to grab a gun from his desk to shot at Scarecrow, but at the same Scarlet pointed her gun at Warden - she wanted to shoot, something in her signaled she had to protect Scarecrow for some odd reasons, did he mean something to her? In this short time? That would be a little too clique-like, wouldn't it? Or was she just too caught in the scene that she had the urge to shoot? Maybe.
Scarecrow though, was faster with spreading his toxin into Warden's face. Warden suddenly started to scream loud, the toxin had to do something with him immediately. Maybe it felt like burning when it touched the skin? Or was he just scared of the repercussions? Was he informed about this toxin? Did he know what it was capable of? Did he know the aftermath?
Warden started to sweat, but not just a little, he sweated like he's been having high fever or running a marathon. He became disquiet, his eyes first focused on Scarecrow, then hectically, almost full of panic his eyes motioned to Scarlet, then back at Scarecrow, then Scarlet. You could see in his eyes that something changed in him. But what? Was he hallucinating? Was he hearing voices? Seeing creatures? Was he seeing blurred? Or maybe all of it? His breathing became more uneven, his hands and knees were shaking in fear, he almost couldn't stand upright, he seemed to panic, the toxin did its work - and this was the moment where the strength in his legs gave in and he fell to the ground, groaning. He stared at a certain point in his room to focus, probably to tell reality from the toxin
"Did you know my father was a genius?" Scarecrow claimed "He wanted to end fear, for my sake, because he loved me. So tell me, what do you fear, Warden?" Scarecrow waited a while for Warden's answer, instead, he saw how he vainly tried to fight against the toxin "Something from your childhood, maybe?" Scarecrow laughed maniacally.
For Scarlet, it was glorious to watch. Scarecrow was right: he indeed turned into an anxious little deer that was trying to run away from a wolfpack. This oh-so-fearful man turned into a scallywag, a sissy, a little worm you can't work with. This toxin was marvelous, it was better than every shotgun, every knife and rope, better than every weapon that could kill a human being. The excitement and adrenaline rush she felt pumping through her veins was much bigger than every other time she planned on killing someone. She was sweating with trembling hands, and seeing this process made her nervous even - but in a good way. Her heart was beating faster, breathing became heavier, but at the same time, the feeling of lust was rising. She was surprised about herself that such a toxin could satisfy her needs so quickly and intensively, no other weapon has achieved that, yet.
"Face your fears," Scarecrow said when Warden screamed louder and louder, trying to crawl back away from the fear he saw from the toxin "Face your fears and defeat them" This was the moment when Warden grabbed the pistol he used to use to kill Scarecrow and shot around - he probably shot his biggest fear, he was trying to do it to defeat it, to become fearless, to become stronger than ever! According to his huge amount of shots though, he seemed to miss his target several times, so that's why he stood then up and ran out to the halls - still shooting.
"Did I overpromise?" Scarecrow chuckled amused. He saw the fascination in Scarlet's eyes, he saw the need in her eyes to know how to mix this toxin. She wanted to use it for her plans, she saw this as a new opportunity to become the Queen of Gotham again - but of course, Scarecrow wouldn't make it so easy for her to gain her goal. He at least needed to profit from that, too.
"Not at all," Scarlet smirked as she looked at him "This toxin is the key to revolution. Gotham's gonna fear us most and the GCPD won't have a chance to detain us" She already made plans on how and where to use this toxin. She already made plans for who should become her next victim. She was obsessed with this toxin. It fascinated her so much, she wanted to see more of it, maybe she even could get some ideas on how to enhance the toxin. The victim should get the feeling of being caught in a world with their biggest fears and there's no way out, they should become more aggressive, they should hallucinate more, and there should be a long torturing way until they die. Amazing that idea, isn't it?
"I like your optimism in 'us'," Scarecrow walked closer to her "But sometimes people shouldn't be too optimistic about things. Mostly they don't work afterward"
"The more effort you put into something, the better," Scarlet said "So with precontriving certain things with the toxin. You then have a certain agenda and structure which makes it easier for you to reach popularity"
"That's what you're doing with me, right?" Scarecrow chuckled amused "That's why you pointed your gun at Warden when he tried to shoot me. You wanna impress me to reach your goal of learning how to mix this toxin," Scarlet remain quiet about this - he was right. This was exactly what she was doing, she couldn't deny it nor sugarcoat it "Keep going"

Idea 6: Vanny hates Vanessa for existing and tries to make her experience as horrible as possible.
A concept that I have also seen very little of is the dynamic between Vanny and Vanessa during the possession.
In my mind, Glitchtrap created Vanny soon after Vanessa was transferred to the pizzaplex as someone to more willingly carry out his orders and "manage" Vanessa. He does this because he wants to spend time working out his new plan among other things.
As such, Vanny would be constantly infuriated at the start because she doesn't get the body entirely to herself. She has to deal with Vanessa trying to "wake up from this nightmare" and would come up with a way to get her to shut up and accept her new life.
She would look through Vanessa's memories and find out she used to work well with kids, and thus was close to them. That is where she would get her idea.
Vanny would make sure her knife strikes didn't kill the children immediately; instead, they would be done in a way to make them die slowly. Then she would just carry them while walking to the basement or wherever the remnant magic happens.
All the while, she would force Vanessa to focus on the child they are carrying close to her chest.
Feel their heartbeat slow.
Listen to their breathing becoming more shallow and strenuous.
Feel the blood soaking through the white rabbit fabric and staining her arms.
Watch as the light leaves their eyes…
…
It should be noted that there is no practical reason for doing this. Another thing to know is that Vanessa doesn't need to be "conscious" while this is occuring. Vanny, being the sadist she is, makes sure that Vanessa can see what she is doing, purely to make Vanessa suffer. All the while, she would subtly blame her for doing this. After all, she was the one who willingly collected all the tapes and put HIM back together, right? (IthoughtitwasjustagameIthoughtitwasjustagameIthoughtitwasjusta)
Ironically, this wouldn't make Vanessa shut up, she would now be more active and begging Vanny not to kill the children. You would think this would annoy Vanny even more, but she finds the joy of the experience of torturing Vanessa and the brief silence that follows worth her whining.
Another thing that Vanny does is try and target the kids that Vanessa used to teach. Then just before she stabs them she'll take off her mask, and force Vanessa to watch their faces brighten as they recognize her and then change into looks of hurt and betrayal. This pains Vanessa even more because she knows just how much potential these kids in particular have. To realize that they will never get the chance to show it because she killed them destroys her.
Yeah Vanny kinda sucks lol
There would be long standing repercussions of this after she is freed. She would likely want to stay as far from children as possible. It is not because she hates them, quite the opposite. She would be utterly terrified of being alone with a child because every time that happened in the last 7 months, they would die. She thinks that this will make Vanny come back somehow.
It's also why she would be so hesitant to hug Gregory, since again, the only living things she's held in the last few months were all dying. She would be scared that doing this will somehow kill Gregory. This doesn't make any logical sense to a normal person, but being possessed by a British furry will do that to a person.
(The only reason she can stand to be close to Gregory is because she knows that he can defend himself if something bad happens.)
One wonders what would happen if there was another lost child during her last 2 weeks as a guard at the pizzaplex and all the other animations were down for maintenance…
As a more lighthearted aside Gregory would be the first person she hugs after it all. She would wake up from a nightmare crying and screaming. Gregory would then rush into her room, Freddy doll in hand, and see what was happening. He would then tackle Vanessa like a footballer and give her a massive hug, with Freddy giving an assist. Vanessa would want to scream at them to get away from her, "Before SHE hurts you." But she finds the hug to be really comforting, she would slowly reciprocate and all 3 of them would eventually fall asleep.
Vanessa, thinking about Vanny’s hatred of her: “Huh, I wonder if that could be considered a symptom of self-hatred.”
Gregory: “You just said that way too casually.”

I'm getting ideas! The two sides of Ness fight. A lot. The entity known as 'Vanny' wants to kill. 'Ness' wants to prevent that by any means. They'd make each-others existence pain by any means.
I'm imagining that when given any window of opportunity, Ness would take that chance to make things worse for Vanny; break some monitors so she has less tracking capabilities. Run away from the kid. Get as far away from people as she can. Maybe she even tried escaping the plex once (a failure, seeing as 'Vanny' just dragged her body back).
TW: (Fictional character) technically SH mention. It's someone else hijacking her own body, but they share the same physical form so probs worth warning over.
Perhaps Ness takes it even further and tries to prevent murders by redirecting the killing blow to somewhere less fatal.
And not on the kid.
The blow wouldn't land anywhere on the child, because she'd force Vanny to turn the knife onto herself.
Because she'd do anything, and I mean almost ANYTHING, to prevent Vanny from killing again.

Octavia tends to let the other person lead because even in bed she always wants to learn, with that said, she would try anything if it was new and exciting.
Octavia does not like when things are bland and repetitive, conversely, things that are new and exciting are a turn on
3. Octavia can take a while to actually reach her climax as her mind will focus on trying to remember exact details (or worse, sometimes she will actively take notes during if she's able.)
4. Her ears are incredibly sensitve
5.The easiest way to seduce Octavia is an academic conversation where you are both listening and sharing. She wants to know all about your special interests and areas of expertise and also feel that you are interested in hers. She is far too used to people just pretending to be polite, or worse have a chance at her.
6.Octavia believes it is healthy and conducive to a good night's sleep to always pleasure herself before bed. 7.Her favorite position is using psionics to levitate and going from there. 8. When Octavia's magic began to manifest and her people learned how powerful she actually was, she had a lot of suitors, but the one who stuck out was a cocky female raider around her own age who was visiting from another Creche. They were paired up for an information gathering excursion and ended up sharing a bedroll. Although she died years ago in a raid, Octavia still cherishes her memory and loves her. 9. Octavia, true to her first experience, prefers sex on the road as it stays vivid and exciting. 10. There isn't really such a thing as 'caught' living in a Creche. Your people are aware it happens and sort of don't take a second look. This makes Istik somewhat uncomfortable. 11. Loud, but not in the way you would think. She will sometimes verbally review her notes during new and exciting experiences. 12. Octavia has gadgets and gizmos a plenty. She's got whozzits and whatzzits galore. You want thingabobs? She's got 20. 13. It depends greatly on what is most interesting, she is very happy to teach as well as learn, however. 14. Not as often as she would like. Octavia's inquisitive nature can be very off putting and so casual encounters are hard to come by. When she's with a partner, fairly regularly though. 15. Octavia's biggest sexual desire currently (it changes) is to be allowed to watch Halsin and Sentry have sex. She is unfamiliar with Tiefling mating and also the shapes and sizes of various creature cocks. Halsin probably wouldn't mind, but Sentry might need some time to come around to the idea. Also she realizes Gale might not be too happy with the idea either. 16. Field researcher. Octavia doesn't even need to be the one actually having sex, it's just another kind of study for her, just one that can be arousing. The joy of discovery is what truly gets her off, not necessarily being touched. 17. Octavia's bra size is probably around a 36 C 18. She will tend to re-read her latest sex based research notes. 19. Octavia is pansexual 20. Believe it or not, Octavia likes to watch. 21. She doesn't consider it weird, but the most interesting was astral sex with Gale. 22. Octavia likes to be kissed on the wrist or palm because it feels most intimate to her since she uses her hands to cast. 23. Octavia's worst sex experience is (luckily) not as traumatic as my other characters. She was once flirted with by a human in one of the towns she stayed in. They had a nice talk, they both consented, they retired to his bedroom...and had sex in a single position at a moderate pace on the mattress of the bed the whole time and cuddled in silence after with no discussion. 24. When Octavia tests new toys, she always experiences multiple orgasms. It is the highlight of the sex and mating aspect of her research. 25. Probably a normal amount, it's only one part of her vast research. 26. Octavia is very comfortable and happy with her body. She is used to being considered beautiful or attractive, but she also understands her people have a certain reputation so she doesn't take people finding her frightening or ugly to heart. 27. Sex with Octavia can last hours once she gets a hypothesis or a research question going. 28. Octavia prefers sex to be as natural as possible, laughter can happen. 29. Octavia may not be quite the artist Sentry is, but she is very good at drawing detailed genitalia.

1278.
Again with the ups and downs that have become so common lately. I felt last year was much more stable, even if it also was duller and in some specific ways, less fulfilling. I need to break down all the thoughts scrambled up in my head and try and sort them into some kind of order. Let's see. I'll begin with the easiest topic.
I feel pretty fulfilled when it comes to my job. I enjoy teaching, and more than anything else I love being there for my students and helping them grow and overcome whatever difficulties they may be facing, be them English-related or personal. I feel a spark of joy when I can tell I'm actually helping someone else feel a bit better. There are administrative tasks that I find boring, but those are simply a part of life. Then there's the self-marketing, an area that I really need to improve, since I don't want to work at schools. I'm feeling up to the challenge of seeing how far I can grow career-wise, and I know it'll involve an active effort on my part, but I think I'm ready for that. I'm capable and hard-working, so I should definitely be up to the challenge.
Now, the difficult topic: social relationships, and how I seem to link how well they go with my self-worth. I have to make the disclaimer that today was a rainy day, and over time I've become more and more aware of how badly this can affect my mood. Having said that, here goes the real issue. Even though I can be quite confident about my intelligence and occasional wits, and even though I consider myself eager to make the most of out each experience, I seem to think that others will perceive me as weird or simply regard me as an afterthought. I think I've struggled with being the second-option-friend, never the one you go to first when you want to share a moment, and definitely not the first you call when you want to hang out. I know this might be a flawed, subjective perspective but I keep seeing this year after year and I think it follows that at some point it's going to affect how I see the world. One obvious solution is to be the one to make the call and strike up the conversation, to be the one to suggest hanging out. But wouldn't one feel tired of doing that and accumulating rejections over time? That's not always the result though, obviously, but I feel tired and ashamed of being the one suggesting things only to see my message waiting there for what seems to be an eternity. It only gets worse when you see the person uploading stories or leaving comments on forums or whatever. But I have been on the other side, I have also been the one to ignore others, albeit for the most part I've done that after stating, in the most polite way possible, that I had no interest in pursuing a relationship with that person, only to have them write again and again. Still, this might be my karma, I suppose.
There's also the fact that the mood at home hasn't been the best lately. My grandma's still in a nursing home and my parents, uncle and aunt are having a lot of trouble because of it, and it doesn't help having learnt that my grandma was an awful mother to her children, as well as a terrible wife to her husband. How can you even pretend to care for such a person, beyond checking that she's got her basic needs covered? Besides, there's a money issue as well. My family simply doesn't have the money to keep her in these nursing homes she's been to, and if they don't find one covered by her health insurance, things may get even worse. My therapist said this isn't my responsibility and that I shouldn't let it affect me, but when dad's yelling around the house and when mum's dealing with the stress of solving the things my dad and my uncle can't solve, the air at home feels infected, poisoned.
One other thing is that, since it was raining today, I didn't go to the Cube of Truth thinking it'd be canceled, but it wasn't. There's a little corner to hide under the rain so they placed the screens and the batteries there. And I didn't go. In all honesty I was convinced it wasn't going to be done, as it has happened once or twice with this weather. Now I feel irresponsible and a bit like an idiot. Seems to be the usual feeling lately.
So, what to do with all of this? Breaking it down into smaller parts helps a bit. Also, writing helps me let it out of my system. I decided to have an Instagram break, by the way. One week. I need one week without knowing anything of what's going on outside of my immediate reality. I feel I should do the same for Discord but honestly I feel I still need to see if I get a response from someone. I feel I've been treated as an afterthought and I want to make it clear that I cannot stand that, at risk of sounding extremely irrational and moody. So be it.
One more thing is that while I do want to set some limits, and while I do feel others don't value me as much as I'd like to, this is all my own problem. I shouldn't put the blame on others or ever make them feel guilty. I need to solve my own issues with empathy and compassion. Beginning with myself should be the first step.

Vanessa would want to scream at them to get away from her, "Before SHE hurts you." But she finds the hug to be really comforting, she would slowly reciprocate and all 3 of them would eventually fall asleep.
this vanny is so horrible like holy shit this is some true sadist shit.

Then just before she staps them she'll take off her mask, and force Vanessa to watch their faces brighten as they recognize her and then change into looks of hurt and betrayal.
(Btw, the only reason she can stand to be close to Gregory is because she knows that he can defend himself if something bad happens.)
One wonders what would happen if there was another lost child during her last 2 weeks as a guard at the pizzaplex and all the other animations were down for maintenance…

Vanessa would want to scream at them to get away from her, "Before SHE hurts you." But she finds the hug to be really comforting, she would slowly reciprocate and all 3 of them would eventually fall asleep.
The idea that Gregory is the first (living/not actively dying) person Vanessa has been able to hug in however long, is so sad. But makes a lot of sense.
The amount of angst and hurt/comfort Fics that could be made with this idea.
Love it!

[part 2 below]
"Again. With some actual focus this time, if you're capable of it."
Sara let the bow fall and nudged the horse back onto the track for another round.
By the gods, how she hated that man. Hated him with the passion of a thousand pit vipers roused from their nest. Loathed him so much that being too close to his presence made her feel like she needed a wash. Despised him like he was the personification of all that was wrong with the world. In fact, he probably was the source of about 50 per cent of the -
"Useless. Have you not got two marbles left in that numbskull of yours? You cannot watch me and the target while controlling the movement of your mount and drawing all at once. I cannot believe I am wasting my time with you."
Gods, she hated that man.
The berating was endless. She could never do anything right in his book. She walked too slow, did chores too loudly, got too distracted in her archery lessons. Spoke too much when she was supposed to be eating. Asked too many questions. Everything was spliced with an insult that only enraged her further.
Sara thought about that sometimes. Oh, the traps she could lay for him. Draw him out into the woods to get eaten by the bears. Give him a rigged deck of cards and a story about the bets going on in the ale house - he wouldn't be able to resist - and imagine him getting beaten up for trying to cheat. She knew, deep down, that the main reason she loathed him so much because she needed him.
He was teaching her for a favour. Sara had found the resting place of his beloved wife, a location long since thought lost in the war. She could not believe anyone had married the crotchety bastard, but she supposed he might have been a different man in youth. Although she couldn't imagine him ever being young, either. At any rate, she had bartered the location in exchange for three months of lessons. The retired weapons master had once been the best, and she needed all the help she could get. He had glared and grunted and told her she would earn her keep like everybody else who begged him for lessons.
It had taken her six months of traipsing up and down the countryside consulting every rumour mill and mapmaker she could find to locate the burial place. That now seemed like a lifetime ago. Back in a life of leisure in comparison with the life she led now.
"I think the horse has more sense than you. It at least keeps an eye on the target."
Sara growled under her breath and slowed the horse to a walk. Her shoulders were starting to ache. Her head hurt after hours of sun and movement without a break or drink.
"Do it once more and concentrate this time. If you can't rub your wits together enough to hit the target, get off the horse and give me the bow."
She gave him her best impassive face, and tried hard not to think of him slipping face first into the dirt. Darien had been an Honored One, once. Known across the lands for his expertise, knowledge and experience in fighting and weaponry. Consultant to the Royal Family. It was a position a step above mastery, and she had to remember that she was lucky to be learning anything from him at all.
But it was hard when she was tired and sore, thirsty and hungry, and could not get the hang of hitting a target at a trot. Let alone a canter. She doubted they'd ever get to that point, but she had to try. If she hit the darn thing maybe Darien would let her take a break and a drink.
The horse moved with the nudge of her knees, the weight of her head shifting as they rounded the bend and sped up. Nock, aim, breathe, fire.
She'd done it. The resounding thwack right in the yellow centre of the wooden board. Sara tried not to whoop with joy. Wouldn't give him the satisfaction of being right.
"See, girl? Put your mind on the task and maybe we won't be here all day. I was starting to think we'd be here all night too."
He made a good point and it irritated her. She'd been so focused on him, wondering what fresh insults there would be, dreaming about she would pull one over him, that she had been too distracted to really focus on the target.
There was a trick to it, he'd said, of how you time it just right so the horse and rider are both in the air at the moment of firing, so as not to jostle and disturb the aim. She could deal with bouncing around on the horse. Riding was the easy part. She was pretty good with animals and not a bad rider at all. But doing so at speed while firing an unfamiliar weapon was a different story. Once she had mastered it at a canter, he'd said, they'd be onto moving targets.
"What moving targets?" she'd asked. "Peasants" he'd said. She'd been washing the dishes after dinner at the time, and dropped the pan in her shock at the suggestion they'd be firing on people. She'd caught the pan again, and his resulting huffed laugh had made sense when he said it again. "Birds. Pheasants. Slow and easy."
As Sara bought the horse round, handed the bow and arrows to Darien and dismounted, she thought about the fact that she had believed the man would graduate to hunting the locals. She wasn't so ready to believe the worst of him anymore, but she still thought him a loathsome man. His rude and rough treatment of his students and staff. His miserliness and refusal to pay his staff adequate wages or supply the household with more than basic foodstuffs.
Sara knew he had wealth. The other students talked, and she had seen the bejweled swords and armour he kept inside his study. That collection would pay for a small castle and retained army, and yet his household and guests were constantly hungry.
The Binding of Icarus
Prompt response to "[WP] as the hero you’re supposed to kill the demon lord. But how can you kill kid who doesn’t even know he’s demon lord and only killed humans who were going to kill his family and friends."
When the King was anointed, they said it was fate.
Sure, it was an inherited position, partly. Third son of a brother of the first King's wife, after everyone else got wiped out. But the point was, he was a survivor. And the realm needed survivors.
They said he was gifted. The child had the ears of all the courtiers and maestros, all the visiting diplomats. They said he had the utter loyalty of the servants and the peasantry who came to pay their respects. They whispered behind closed doors, in the dark of night, that the boy had made deals. That he, not yet a man grown, had favours owed him by those we dared not speak the names of.
There has been a maestro in the village once. He had been said to survive on rum and stories, and the few coins he got on the rare occasions the battered lute was actually brought out. That maestro had told the children of the village time and time again that each of them held a gift inside. That man had a power within that only a child knew how to operate; that if they could learn of it and from it, then they would control armies. Could gain empires.
The children, entertained by a man their parents spoke of as a doddering old drunk, didn't pay much attention to that particular story. The maestro was never very clear on how they were to learn of and understand this power, or what exactly it was. The only real thing anyone could get a clear line on was that man generated a power that the other races fed on. The darklings in the mountains, the night hunters, the names of the old ones; they all would one day bow to man for the great gift man had granted them.
Then the war had come. The Citadel had burned, along with half the members of the royal family. A new order was instituted, a new king crowned. The new king's men had come through the towns and villages and banned the old stories. The maestro was strongly encouraged to leave, for his words would poison the minds of the young. The old drunk left with the soldiers and was never seen or heard from again.
But the children didn't forget. And as the boy King grew, so did the girl who had listened to and remembered the stories.
Sara was an orphan who had a particular talent for being invisible, and for remembering things adults would rather children forget. Nobody paid much attention to scrappy orphans of no family name, unless they looked like they were in a thieving way. Sara was a sponge of information in her own way, and as a result had more than a few friends who had benefited from her uncanny fountain of knowledge. But her friends moved on from the tales and stories of their younger years, and thought nothing more of it.
Sara kept hold of the flame inside. Held it close as the knowledge grew, as she slowly made friends with travelling maestros on their way to the city, with sailors who had wandered too far from the port in the town over. She had found a position sweeping in the mayor's kitchen, and talked the cook into reading lessons in exchange for odd jobs around the house and village. That had turned into errand runner for the village council. Which had turned into access to more books, stories and secrets.
It might take her years, but she would make her way out of the village and travel the realm to learn everything she can. Maybe someone would teach her to fight so she could visit the darklings in the mountains and trade her skills for their knowledge. No matter what it took - no matter how many roles she had to play, favours she had to barter, names she would assume - Sara knew the power the King held was worth it. If she could get her hands on the truth of the power that the maestro had told her of so long ago, then she would get revenge for her parents. Better yet, if she could take out the King it would wipe out what remained of the royal line in one swoop.
She would change the world.
Burn it to ashes with all she had learned if she had to. And start again anew.

Oh lord this really got out of hand length wise and idk how I feel about all of this... but at the same time I really want to get this out so I can fiiiiiinally (potentially) post the two fics that I've finished months ago. But I felt like I needed to at least somehow write something about how especially her relationships to the brothers developed. Again, this doesn't really follow the canon storyline, because Belphie wasn't locked in the attic etc. Aaaanyway! I still hope you enjoy this mess lol Disclaimer: I didn't proof read it. (I'm too tired to do that rn xD) So I apologize if there are any mistakes
Forming Relationships
Obey Me oc Freya
It would've been a lie to say that it wasn't difficult to get used to things. Not only because everything in the Devildom was so different from what Freya was used to, but also because the majority of the seven brothers didn't exactly make it easy for her either. Belphie didn't bother hiding his distaste, to put it mildly, for humans. Lucifer didn't hold back with his constant threats for misbehaviour, Satan gave some snide remarks here and there, etc etc.
Which was why she was all the more glad about the bond she'd easily formed with the other three exchange students in a rather short time. Being around Simeon always had something... calming, warm. Easily helping chase the stress away that a long day surrounded by a shit ton of demons usally brought. Meanwhile things with Solomon were usually a bit more chaotic but really fun. (Also she'd quickly caught up on how it was mandatory to distract him from any cooking attempts, if they didn't want to make near death experiences.) And Luke? He was just a little ray of sunshine. Like the little brother she never had as dramatic as it probably sounded, she would've given her live for him. Not to mention how adorable it was that he was the one who always wanted to protect her. So whenver she talked about how exhausting another day had been or what had been thrown at her from either of the brothers, he would go on about how demons were not to be trusted to begin with. How he'd teach them a lesson on her behalf.
"Freya, if it should ever get too much there for you, you could always sleep here!"
"There's not enough room for me and I'd hate to intrude", she snorted, before taking another sip of tea the older angel had prepared for them.
"You wouldn't be intruding! You could simply sleep in my bed and... It would be something like a sleepover!"
Luke looked so excited about the possible sleepover, it was impossible not to feel all warm and fuzzy. Reaching out, she ruffled his hair.
"We don't need to wait for me to have to escape wanting to murder the brothers myself to have a sleepover. If you guys aren't busy we could have one this weekend?"
"Really?" Luke's bright eyes were nearly sparkling with sheer joy at that point.
"I'm in for that", Solomon suddenly perked up, head peeking out from his bedroom door.
"A sleepover sounds like it could be fun", Simeon agreed and so the planning began.
What's funny was that Freya even managed to somehow form a closer bond to Barbatos, before any of the brothers gave her a real chance. Well, Beelzebub was the exception. After a bit of a rocky start, they actually got to talking one night when they bumped into each other in the kitchen and she had offered him to make him a nice midnight snack, instead of having him just standing at the open fridge and shoving god knows what into his mouth.
One day she had been invited to join Diavolo for some tea, to talk about her time in the Devildom so far. Actually it was already the third time he'd invited her over. And she knew that it would probably end up with her telling him more about the human realm. Though when she arrived, Barbatos was of course the one greeting her.
"My apologies. I'm afraid Milord is still in a meeting. But he will be with you in a bit. Make yourself comfortable in the meantime and I'll bring you something to drink."
While she did follow him into a very over the top but nice looking salon, it only took a couple minutes until she got bored and actually decided to head into the direction the butler had disappeared in. And soon after she stepped into the kitchen where he was busy decorating a cake.
"Can I help with something?"
"Oh no, you're Lord Diavolo's guest."
"So what? I like helping out", she answered with a shrug, at the same time taking a couple steps further into the kitchen to have a better look at the way he expertly added the decorative elements on top of flawlessly spread frosting. "Can I at least keep you company? It's always kind of fascinating what you always manage to whip up and I'd love to see the master at work."
That actually tickled a smile out of Barbatos and he agreed. So as Freya watched him, they had a nice, relaxed conversation. Admittedly she was the one doing most of the talking but Barbatos, being the patient man he was, answered all sorts of questions she had. That's also how they ended up on the topic of pacts.
"Solomon told me that he made a pact with Asmodeus and you. How did that end up happening? I mean, sure. Powerful sorcerer and all but it was still kind of surprising. So what made you say yes?"
"I've had my reasons. Sometimes a pact can be benefitial for both sides."
"Alright, I got the hint. Keep your secrets, mysterious butler", Freya chuckled, before she took a bite of a cookie he had offered her earlier. It was still slightly warm and the chocolate he used for it was melting on her tongue.
"Are you interested in trying to form pacts? Or where did that suddenly come from?"
"Honestly? Not really. I don't see what use would be to potentially have power over someone else. I don't want to order anyone around or something like that. Not my thing. Especially if it would be against their will. I guess... I'm just curious what it would feel like? I don't know. From how Solomon explained it, it sounded like there's also a special bond with a pact. But maybe I'm just romanticising things too much."
She felt how heat rose into her cheeks from the embarrassment of her ramblings and scratched the back of her head rather sheepishly. A silence settled between the two, although it was anything but uncomfortable. Eventually Barbatos finished the cake and put it into the fridge to let the frosting harden up a bit again. When he turned to face her again, it nearly felt like his gaze was boring into her.
"If you want, I'll make a pact with you."
For a moment all she could do was blink, and blink again, mind going absolutely blank.
"Huh?" Had he really just offered to make a pact with her? Out of the blue?
"You genuinly don't seem like you'd take advantage of it and who knows, maybe it will be benefitial for both of us in the future after all."
There was a hint of a sly smirk, something that made her narrow her eyes ever so slightly, but it wasn't enough to unsettle her.
"I feel like there's something you know that I don't... But I'd be lying if I didn't say that I'd like to know what it's like so.... Okay. How does it work?"
"Well, firstly you have to pick a spot for the mark", he explained as he stepped closer.
"Mhm..." With pursed lips, Freya tiled her head back, green eyes glued to the ceiling as she tried to think of a spot. Maybe picking something that wasn't immediately visible at all times would be good. Especially when she eventually visited her family. "On my back would be good, I think."
Barbatos nodded and motioned for her to turn around, which she did. Then there was the lightest touch between her shoulder blades, followed by a short, bright glow.
"And done."
"Wait, that's it? No ritual or anything?" Her question drew a small, quiet laugh out of the butler, while he shook his head.
"No ritual necessary. It is all set and done now."
She couldn't quite explain why but for some reason it gave her a rush of happiness. Barbatos had always been pleasant and also fun to be around. The fact that he already trusted her enough to form a pact that easily with her? It managed to lift her mood and a bright smile broke out on her face.
Thankfully, as the weeks went on, the brothers also slowly but surely warmed up at least a bit towards her. It was already a big win in her books that the constant death threads had stopped. Also it was ineviteable that she began to pick up on everyones likes and dislikes, their little quirks and habits... And without really noticing it, she began to incorporate those in the things she did for the brothers.
She knew how Lucifer liked his coffee and eventually began bringing him a cup to his office, every now and then. At first she would set a tray next the door, knock and then leave as to not disturb him too much. Because she really didn't want to risk pissing him off and ending up getting srtung from the ceiling, like Mammon did countless times. But then she actually brought it inside, ignoring when she was told how it was pretty much suicide to "disturb him" when he was working. She'd even remind him to take breaks for his own sake. Not that he ever listened... But hey, she made it out alive every time and sometimes, just before she closed the door behind her again, she saw that he was in fact drinking the coffee. Something simple yet it made her smile that he accepted the small way of caring for him that she offered.
Asmodeus, and even Leviathan to some extend, warmed up to her when they found out that she wasn't half bad at sewing. Her family had never had that much money which was why at some point as a teenager she started to learn how to sew to either fix her clothes or even make her own completely from scratch.
One evening Asmo came into the living room, where Satan and her were both reading, whining about the seam of a sleeve from his favourite blouse came loose and he didn't have the time to bringe it to a tailor or do it himself, since he wanted to wear it that night when he went out.
"If you want you can put it in my room and I can fix it up later. I promise you that it's gonna look as good as new."
"You can really do that? Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, Freya!", he nearly squealed, at the same time pretty much throwing himself at her and showering her face with kisses.
Levi on the other hand was a bit more reluctant to go to her and ask for her help. Funnily enough it was actully her who went to him, after Asmo had been the one to tell her about how Levi apparently bumped into some issues with a cosplay he was working on.
When it was his time to take care of dinner, the pink haired joined him in the kitchen, grabbing herself a glass of water.
"Hey Levi? Asmo said you hit a dead end with your cosplay?" She didn't miss how he tensed up or his ears turned a bright red, which was a stark contrast to his purple hair. So she hurried to continue before he'd go into a full on anxiety attack. "My little sister is also a lot into that and I usually helped her sew some things. If you want, I could have a look at your cosplay and maybe we'll be able to find a solution together."
He stayed quiet for another moment, most definitely contemplating her offer though in the end, he actually agreed and the next day she was even allowed to go into his room for the first time since she came to the Devildom.
Breaking the ice with Satan happened pretty much on accident. Freya caught a glimpse of the book he was apparently currently reading and recognized it.
"I know that one! It was really good. If you want we could talk about it, once you've finished reading it?"
She hadn't thought much about her offer at that time, it was just that she was sure everyone enjoyed talking about things they liked, right? And even if it were topics she didn't enjoy herself or wasn't well versed in, she'd always loved hearing people talk about stuff they were passionate about. Still she was somewhat surprised when Satan knocked at her door that same night. asking if her offer to discuss the book still stood.
From then on she found out that he had an interest in books from the human realm and as it seemed they had similar taste in genres. Which was how she ended up recommending him some of her favourites and they regularly had their book talks over a hot drink and sometimes some snacks as well.
It didn't take a genius to realize that Mammon constantly seemed to get into some sort of trouble. Most of the time it was connected to his sin. Aka it wasn't a rare occurance for things to "mysteriously" go missing. Usually she was only missing some small things that didn't have too much value. Neither emotionally nor cash wise, which was why she never really noticed it. But when a necklace she'd once gotten from her grandma went missing, her first thought was that she might've lost it. Hence why she asked the brothers if they might've seen it. And while no one had, their expressions all said that they had their suspicions.
Even after pretty much searching the entire house, she hadn't found it. Her heart dropping at the thought of having lost something that was very dear to her. Just when she was about to head back to her room, she could hear Lucifer calling out for the second oldest and dear lord, did he sound pissed... Curiosity took over and she followed the commotion. Mammon looked like he was either ready to drop to the floor and play dead or run for his life in hopes of escaping the wrath of his older brother.
"Mammoooon... What are you doing with Freya's necklace?!"
As upset as she was that he seemed to have been the culprit, in her time living with all of them she had figured out that sometimes the boys just couldn't help what they did. It was fueled by their sin and to some extend... She felt bad for Mammon. Mainly because he always got the most shit for his actions.
"You found it?", Freya chimed in and nearly bounced up to them, finally leaving her little hiding corner to grab the necklace out of Mammon's hand to put it on. "Thanks so much for helping me look for it~ I don't know what I would've done if I'd have actually lost it."
"Y-yeah, that's right! I told ya the great Mammon would find your stuff!"
Lucifer didn't look all too convinced, though he still dropped it and went back to his study. After making sure he was put of earshot, Freya turned back around towards the other man and fixed him with a glare.
"I won't rat you out", when Mammon opened his mouth to say something, she lifted a hand to stop him dead in his tracks, "under one condition. You stop stealing any of my shit. Do we have a deal?"
"Deal", he nodded quickly.
All in all, once that little issue was sorted out, she actually enjoyed spending time with the little trouble maker. Sure, he might've been a big tsundere, but he was fun to be around nevertheless. And no matter how many hundred years older he was, she sort of felt responsible for him. Which was also why she was usually the one to step in when his brothers took their "playful" bullying too far. Especially when it became obvious that it deeply affected the avatar of greed.
Belphie was... a special case. Sometimes he made her feel like he'd bite her, if she only got a little too close. Like a feral cat. But after hearing the reason from Beel why he despised humans so much, she couldn't even blame him all too much. She figured it was the best to give him time and space. That didn't mean her stupid mom friend instincts didn't kick in with him as well, though. Something Solomon liked to make fun of her for a lot. More than once had she found the youngest asleep in the strangest places. Usually just with his pillow, which couldn't have been very comfy or warm. Especially when he was fast asleep on the cold tile floor. Once she noticed that he even fell asleep in class more than once, she began to make it a habit to bring a smaller blanket with her to RAD. So whenever she found him passed out somewhere, she could at least throw the blanket over his shoulders.
She was convinced that he had at some point figured out that she was usually the one to make sure he was at least somewhat comfy when he slept, but neither of them ever talked out it. Until she was sitting on the couch in the library, engrossed in a book Satan had recommended to her , when suddenly someone flopped down next to her, followed by a head resting on her lap. It took her brain a moment to register that it was in fact Belphie who claimed her thighs as his pillow.
"At least you're comfortable...", was the only thing he mumbled, before he seemingly already fell asleep.
And as much as it was completely and utterly surprising, there was no denying that Freya got all giddy about the fact the little, spoiled brat seemed to have warmed up to her after all.
From there on things at HoL were far more relaxed and Freya even began to slowly consider it her second home. She spent more time with the brothers, got to know many new things and sides about them... Like Satan's love for cats. Or that one of Belphie's favourite napping spots was the planetarium. How many different sports Beel aced, how cracked Levi was at video games. That Mammon was terrified of horror movies, which was quite funny for a demon. Or how Lucifer actually let his guard down when he was alone with Freya. Admittedly, it was a rare occasion but that made her treasure those moments even more.
There was only one problem that came from it; that damn smug, prideful demon easily snuck his way into her heart. With the strange sense of security he gave her. Or their little playful banters when they challenged each other with something. How he made sure she was doing alright in his own ways... Like offering to help her study in case she was stuck somewhere. Sometimes he even accompanied her into the city to run some errands. At least when his time and work load allowed it. Not to forget the times he actually listened to her and, if a little reluctant, took a break which then ended with him teaching her how to play chess.
The biggest issue of it all weren't even the confusion she got from the feelings she started to develope for him. Oh no... It was actually the fact that she was still in a relationship, although there hadn't been all too much contact from her girlfriend's side the past couple weeks. Oh well, at least there were a couple of weeks left until she would be allowed to go back home for a weekend to visit her family. Until then she was sure she could make sense of the mess and emotions. But for now, she decided to mainly enjoy the shenanigans with the brothers, now that they all got along way better.

I concur Vanny absolutely sucks but I'm 100% on board with this idea that she finds delight in making Vanessa's life hell. That's more or less the personality I gave Vanny in my writings 👍

That's all so sad but "British furry" made me chuckle lmao
