            Your eyes were starting to water due to the number of flashes from the cameras that were going off around you. The bright lights made it difficult to keep your eyes open, but you knew that this was just part of being in the spotlight.

  Jack places a hand on your arm, slightly shoving you towards the exit. You ignore the yells of your name and continue to make your way off the carpet.

Your bodyguard, who had been standing nearby, steps in to create a path through the crowd, shielding you and Jack from the relentless paparazzi.

  "Did you talk to Jenna?" Jack asks, leaning close enough for his voice to be heard.

You send the bearded man a glare, shaking your head. "No. I don't even think she's walked the carpet yet."

Jack raises an eyebrow before turning his head to the carpet, which is still filled with celebrities and flashing cameras.

He scans the area, searching for any sign of Jenna among the chaos. He then turns back to you with a smirk on his lips. "I think you're just ducking her."

You roll your eyes at Jack's teasing remark.

"Please, like I have time to play hide and seek with Jenna. I'm just trying to avoid the relentless paparazzi."

You gesture towards the swarm of photographers jostling for the perfect shot.

Jack hums, his smile widening. A thought clicks into his head, causing his smile to drop.

"Oh, yeah! I talked to Melissa, and she is fine as fuck."

You thin out your lips. Jack probably didn't know she was married.

"I'll tell her husband you said that."

"You know what they say. Don't let your husband distract you from finding the love of your life."

You chuckle at his joke.

"May I say you look amazing tonight?" The interviewer states, smiling as they admire your appearance.

You smile, bringing your hands together to calm yourself before responding.

"Thank you so much."

"Are you a big fan of the Scream franchise?" The interviewer asks, moving their microphone closer.

You nod, your eyes lighting up with excitement.

"Absolutely! Ghostface is such an iconic character, and I love the twists that they put in the movie. It just always keeps you on your toes."

The interviewer chuckles, sharing your enthusiasm. "I completely agree! The Scream franchise has definitely left a lasting impact on the horror genre with its clever storytelling and memorable characters. Speaking of memorable characters, whose is your favorite?"

You pause for a moment, looking up at the sky as you bite down on your lip.

"Uhh... It's hard to choose just one, but if I had to pick, I would say Roman Bridger. I didn't suspect him at all, and his reveal as the mastermind behind everything in Scream 3 was a total shock. Plus, Scott Foley's performance was absolutely chilling."

The interviewer nods, appreciating your choice. "I couldn't agree more. He's surely one to remember."

You nod again, smiling. "For sure. I've always wanted to play Ghostface. Taking off the mask and revealing your plan must be so fun."

The interviewer laughs and says, "I'm sure you'd do great."

Before you could respond with a thank you, the interviewer speaks up.

"Jenna! It's so nice to see you." You turn to see Jenna, your heart dropping at the sight of her.

You force a tight-lipped smile at the brunette. "Hey Jenna, long time no see," you say, trying to sound casual.

Deep down, you can't help but wonder if she still thinks about you.

Jenna returns the smile. "Yeah, it's been a while," she replies softly.

Memories of your past together flood your mind, and you can't help but wonder if there's still a chance for reconciliation.

"You guys are so stunning, I can't even!" The interviewer gushes, snapping you out of your thoughts.

Jenna chuckles, her eyes meeting yours briefly before she turns her attention back to the interviewer.

"Jenna, I've gotta ask. Are you a fan of Y/N's music?" Jenna nods her head, glancing at you again before answering.

"I am. They're very talented musically, and I'm waiting for another album."

You try to fight back a smile, but it fails miserably. The interviewer notices your failed attempt to hide your smile and chuckles.

"Seems like there's mutual admiration here," they remark, noticing the subtle connection between you and Jenna.

You tilt your head, shrugging a bit. "I guess you could say that. Jenna's very talented herself, both musically and in acting."

Jenna feels the butterflies in her stomach erupt as you compliment her.

She's missed you, and she wants nothing more than to reconnect with you. She blushes slightly and responds, "Thank you."

You walk over to Jenna, interrupting her conversation with Percy. "Jenna."

Jenna turns towards you, a surprised expression on her face as she pauses mid-sentence.

"Come home with me?"

Jenna's eyes widen as she processes your unexpected request, leaving her momentarily speechless.

After a brief moment of hesitation, she nods slowly, her curiosity piqued. "Sure, why not? Let's go."

Percy furrows his eyebrows, watching you and Jenna walk off together.

When you arrive home, you take off your jacket and help Jenna with hers.

Jenna mumbles a thank you before making herself comfortable on the couch.

She looks around the unfamiliar surroundings, seeing as you've changed a few things since the last time she was there.

Jenna's eyes linger on a Polaroid of you and her, capturing a happy memory from months ago. Of course, Jenna still loved you, but was she ready to take the risk of getting hurt again?

She couldn't bear the fact that things might not work out between you two, causing more heartbreak.

Fame had always been a double-edged sword for Jenna. While it had brought her success and recognition, it also came with constant scrutiny and pressure.

It's what ruined you two. Jenna being constantly busy due to acting and you constantly being busy due to singing made it difficult for you both to find quality time together.

Despite the love that still existed between you, the demands of your respective careers created a growing distance that neither of you knew how to bridge.

You walk into the living room, two glasses of wine in your hand. "Actually," Jenna speaks up, and you raise your eyebrows in anticipation.

She continues, "Could we sit on your balcony?"

You nod, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "Of course," you say, leading the way to the balcony.

As you settle into the comfortable chairs, the city lights twinkling below, Jenna takes a deep breath and says, "I miss moments like this, just being together without any distractions."

You take a sip of your wine, pausing to savor the flavor before responding. "Me too," you say, gazing out at the night sky.

"I missed you."

Jenna's eyes soften, and she reaches over to gently touch your lap. "I missed you too," she whispers.

"I hope you know that I'm not dating Percy."

"I know," you reply, a small smile forming on your lips. "I knew you wouldn't downgrade like that."

Jenna chuckles softly, her dimples beginning to show. "That's hilarious."

A silence falls over the two of you.

"I couldn't imagine being with anyone other than you," you snap your head towards her, your heart swelling with love at words.

She always knew the right thing to say.

"You're the only one who truly understands me, Y/N." Jenna's eyes meet yours, her brown pupils glistening in the moonlight.

"I can't find myself being vulnerable or trusting with anyone else." She finishes off, breaking away from your gaze.

You don't say anything, you just place your hand over top of hers, which was resting on your lap.

I love the color coding in Koisenu Futari

Let it be said that I am a complete novice on anything regarding colors coding; but I've learned a few things from @respectthepetty and I have opinion on colors in Koisenu Futari.

Quick context just in case: Koisenu Futari is a Japanese show about two AroAce characters, Sakuko and Takahashi, trying to make a life together and navigate society's expectations.

First off: the contrasts between Sakuko and Takahashi

Takahashi is a blue boy (loyal, steady, and reliable but a bit passive and depressive) who also likes green a lot ; it's almost the only two colors he wears, beside neutrals.

The only warm color he wears is the store’s red apron, which is notably a uniform that he doesn’t choose to wear.

Sakuko is less strict about her colors. I’d argue the first thing you’re supposed to get from her clothing is that she's expressive and a bit eccentric: she wears patterns, bright colors, colorful jewelry, that kind of things.

Overall though, she’s a red rascal. She definitely is spontaneous (if not straight out impulsive), energetic and passionate, and she gets this beautiful red coat at the end of ep 3 that she wears every time she’s out afterwards.

It serves really well to contrast them with each other; it makes sens, they certainly have contrasting personalities. Sakuko is impulsive and demonstrative where Takahashi is more reserved and steady.

But it also makes them a perfect Purple Pair, which I'd argue is another romantic trope they float right through (just like they couldn't care less about the meet-cute they had in the first episode).

Kazu-kun

The first bit of color coding I actually noticed in this show was about Kazu-kun, and how he spends almost the entirety of ep 4 completely standing out in the decor.

Since they spent almost the whole episode in the house, neither Sakuko nor Takahashi wear their signature coat, and Takahashi being on bed rest means he can't wear his green apron either. They are striped of their colors like Kazu-kun is stripping them of their privacy and agency by imposing himself in their home.

And imposing he is. Beyond the fact that I want to punch him every time I watch this episode, even the camera doesn't like him being there. While Sakuko and Takahashi spends most of the ep in neutral colors, Kazu-kun never once loses his signature orange.

(Kazu-kun is, of course, a Yellow/Orange Oddity, optimistic and creative but impatient and careless with other's feelings.)

Which means he completely stands out in the decor.

He begins to stand out a bit less as the episode progress and he starts to learn; when he cooks diner, the decor warms up to him a bit, but Sakuko and Takahashi are still wearing neutrals.

And once he's learned his lesson and accepted Sakuko is AroAce and is never going to love him, that's when he stops standing out.

Here he is in ep 5 in neutral colors to match Sakuko and Takahashi inside of their home:

And then all 3 of them out on vacation a bit later in the same ep, this time all wearing their respective color:

Now that Kazu-kun has learnt his lesson, now that he understand them, he fits. He's stopped being an intruder.

I had other things to say, but this is long enough as is, and I need to go to sleep. So the rest will need to wait for another post!

My thoughts on Ep. 4 - I Plunge to My Death, A rant

First off, Sally and baby Percy scene was so cute. I swear to god, no one will ever top Sally Jackson for being the best mortal parent in the series.

That Percabeth bonding scene in the train. Bruh, I cannot wait for the Kindness International truck and Waterland scenes.

Annabeth opening up about her Dad and Percy utterly shocked that not all mortal parents are like his Mom.

Frederick’s college ring on Annabeth’s necklace. To non book-readers, yes, that's her Dad's name.

Annabeth having to earn Thalia’s respect.

Luke caring for Annabeth right away just makes it more gut-wrenching and heart-breaking with what he’s about to do. (SPOILER ALERT) “Family, Luke. You promised.”

Grover being super grouchy when he doesn’t get enough sleep. And as someone in their twenties, I totally could relate to him.

This convo:

Percy : Can I ask a dumb question?

Annabeth: It's like you need me to make fun of you.

That's it, that's their relationship.

Mentioning the god of the wild, Pan, and that there are searchers for him.

How that convo basically went:

Train Cop: I don’t think you wanna take that tone with me, little girl.

Annabeth: EXFUCKINGCUSE ME?

Grover: Annabeth, no-!

Echidna calling the cops on 3 minors, just screams typical Karen behavior.

The St. Louis Arch being an actual temple of Athena is a nice change from Annabeth just wanting to go sightseeing.

This convo:

Percy: You've done more for me in the past few days than my father has done in my entire life. If I had to stick with someone, I-

Annabeth: Careful, I think you were about to call me a friend.

Percy: *stumbles because of the poison from the stinger*

Annabeth: *catches him*

Again, that’s their relationship.

Annabeth and Grover splashing water at Percy at a fountain when there’s a big-ass river nearby. Idk, but I find that funny.

Athena letting Echidna and the Chimera into the Arch because it wounded her pride? OH, HELL NO!

Athena’s Logic: Punish her devotee because someone close to them did something that wounded her pride. Medusa=Poseidon; Annabeth=Percy. She didn’t even gave a f*ck that the devotee in question is her own daughter. WTF, ATHENA!

I always thought Zeus has the crown for being the deadbeat absent godly parent, but Athena is slowly giving him a run for his money.

Annabeth deciding to sacrifice herself so Percy and Grover can continue the quest. WTF!

Percy tricking Annabeth into taking the final stand himself. Dude, your fatal flaw is showing.

Annabeth having to deal with a forbidden child sacrificing themselves for her safety AGAIN (With Thalia, and now Percy). Girl must be traumatized.

Grover having to go through it again as well.

The Chimera being terrifying than how non clear-sighted mortals see it.

Poseidon “always been here/so hard for me to stand back” Daddy to the rescue.

This:

Percy: *gets stuck underwater*

Nereid: It’s okay. You father sent me-

Percy: Oh, hell no! *tries to swim harder*

Percy only now realizing he can breath underwater. Like, of course, he can. He's Poseidon's kid.

We're only in Episode 4 and it's already so good. Can't wait for the episode 5.

Ongoing Series - Thai

Cherry Magic (Sat YouTube grey) ep 9 of 12 - I broke. In my defense, it was Monday, I needed comfort, and TayNew were right tf there. Ya know what? They are great in this show. It's a great adaptation. I might like it more than the JBL live action. You know why? Really, honestly WHY...?

That was a PHENOMENAL KISS. Those boys did Thailand fucking proud. They did fandom a solid. Thank you OGs for reminding us how it's done. I was getting used to SloppyHot. And SloppyHot has its place, but that TayNew rooftop kiss was a top tear class act. It was tender and sweet and respectful and joyful. It was eye work and breath work and years of practice. How very far BL has come while still staying so much the same. TayNew - I salute you!

The Sign (Sat YT) ep 12fin - we waiting, I guess? Bah.

Cooking Crush (Sun YT) ep 11 of 12 - The recipe book thing was so damn cute and I love a claiming. YOU KNOW I LOVE A CLAIMING!

In fact, I love OffGun.

I love food based BL.

I adored seeing a reboot of "the infamous dragging". 

But I don’t love anything else about this show. Sigh.

1000 Years Old ep 1 of 12 - Finally we get our gay vampire BL from Feel Good Bangkok. Stars Shane (My Engineer) and fresh face Opal, directed by Champ (2gether). It’s kind of odd but enjoyable. A group of teen UFO seekers find a vampire instead. Opal looks a bit like a mix between Newnu + Leo (VIXX) - so cute + edge. Also, nice to see Shane again on our screens after so long. 

Finally, I like the subtle (and sometimes not subtle) presence of ghosts permeating this show. Do the friends know she's there? Do they know she's dead? Is the existence of paranormal accepted but not that of aliens? Or are the two combined? Is this lazy writing or just fun world building? Who cares! It's enjoyable.

For Him (Thurs iQIYI) ep 12fin - the nail painting bit was very cutie queers and I've not seen it done in BL before, so that was nice. For some reason captions never dropped for me on this last episode, but it didn’t really matter. Not much happened and I understood everything anyway.

Quick pitch?

From the people who brought us Unforgotten Night based on a y-novel, about a young man nursing a heartbreak who has a one-night stand, but the other boy didn't want it to end. This turned out to be a pulp that wasn’t half as good as it should have been and even less memorable, but not terrible. 5/10 DON'T BOTHER unless you're v bored

City of Stars (Fri iQIYI) ep 3 of 12 - Oh it is such a pulp: the acting is not good and the script is terrible. Of course, I’m mildly enjoying it. Very good dream kissing. There's something appealing about these main characters - I think it's the moot crushes. We rarely get to see that. These days everything feels very one sided, this... isn't.

A Secretly Love (Thai WeTV) - Khonprot, a third-year hazer of the engineering faculty, has a secret crush on Pluem, a tsundere fourth-year head hazer. Over the years, he's seen Pluem cycle through girlfriends. Recently, after a public breakup, however, Khonprot thinks maybe a boy has a chance.

I tried but I can't get into my WeTV account anymore and I'm way too lazy to figure it out. I'll catch it grey if I can, since I've rebooted the bootlegging side of my BL life for Cherry Magic anyway.

So this show may stay in this section, or I may bump it down to "it's airing but..."

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

Love For Love's Sake (Korea Weds iQIYI) 7-8fin - Ugh it was GREAT, despite some pretty telling flaws. I ended up feeling like some of the filming was amateurish (very overworked low angles - director's first feature, I assume), and the narrative is a little disjoined and on the nose, AND the subs are clumsy (which I don't expect from KBL) BUT I still loved it. (FYI - I wouldn't be so harsh on a BL for this kinda thing except one from Korea.)

Quick pitch:

This isekai-based KBL is about a man who must win a game by convincing a reserved teen outcast to fall in love with him. Of course, that teen represents himself and his own unhappiness. Like many queer narratives, this show is actually about self worth, trust, and found family, and it is VERY on the nose. But I don’t expect subtlety from my BL and I enjoyed it's truly lovely redemption arc and earnest performances. While I found the narrative a touch disjointed with overworked filming angles and poorer than average captions, this is certainly much better than early KBL in terms of consistency of tone, script, and immersion. Highly rewatchable and charming, which counts for a lot. 9/10

Perfect Propose (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 4 of 6 - Gosh, it’s so lovely. But I do just constantly want to give them both hugs. 

AntiReset (Taiwan Fri Viki/Gaga) ep 4 of 10 - Oh look, Taiwan has created yet another BL where I spend most of the time watching it grinning like an idiot. Surprise surprise. The pet name thing was fucking adorable. Also Taiwan once more proving they come by their "kings of kissing" title honestly. I mean to say. In a week of good kisses this one was just... WOW.

On the other hand, some of the underpinning themes are starting to v worry me (ownership, consent, age), and we only just got started, and I don't trust this production company so... I have concerns.

But also... YAY KISSES!

(I'm made of weak moral fiber.)

Although I Love You and You AKA Sukiyanen Kedo Do Yaro ka (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 6 of 10 - Like many other shows on this list. I just enjoy it the most when the two leads are on screen together. So this episode was kind of lacking because they were apart for most of it. I also am starting to agree with the tone of the plot, that maybe they ARE better off as friends not lovers. (And I'm sure I'm not supposed to want that.) Oh Japan, must you?

My Strawberry Film (Japan Gaga) ep 1 of 8 - Oh it’s good. In the arthouse lane so don’t expect sweetness & light or an HEA. If there’s no cartoon aspect to a JBL, there’s usually no joy. But it is certainly good. Teens uncover some old film and a mystery around a pretty girl. The background music is wildly annoying (and rarely in the background).

Playboyy (Thurs Gaga) 14 eps - Dear Playboyy, it's not you, it’s me… I hate you. You’re about as deep (and as palatable) as a shot glass of cum. While I'm sure you’re someone’s kink, you're my weakest link. Goodbye. I DNFed this at ep 5. Frankly I'm impressed with myself for getting that far.

Time the series (Tue Gaga/YT) 10 eps - dropped it at ep 4.

One assumes GMMTV is filling in the BL time slot with something queer on their YT Channel after Cooking Crush ends, they gonna lose subs if they don't. But I've not been paying attention to the chatter so I don't know which of their line-up it will be. I think G4 are filming/off radar now, and Earth is in that het noona thing? Plus they gotta sort out the IP for MIx-Up and Ossen. So it won't be one of the announced adaptations. They'll hold My Golden Blood for the high season, so I think it'll be one of the lesser known lead-outs. Wandee or Only Boo maybe? But they only just started filming those. Are we getting our long awaited GL? Anything else left from 2023 that I forgot about?

Minnie was walking around in her small cubicle before sitting down on the white chair, crossing her legs to find a comfortable position. All of a sudden a piece of paper flew in from the top of the wall, making her eyes go wide.

"Oh?" She wondered, putting her feet down to reach down to the floor, snatching it up with her hands. Leaning her elbows on the edge of the table, she opened the message sent to her, reading over it before chuckling, and turning it around to show it to the camera.

'You're a dummy'

"Ya!" She shouted with a giggle. "Wonwoo! I'm next to you!"

[the way she recognized his handwriting so quickly?! goals]

The sound of his laughter could be heard, followed by a, "Oh, sorry, my bad."

The girl put the piece of paper down on the table, took the pen provided for her, and decided to write a reply back, showing it to the camera before she folded it again and walked over to the wall.

Realising that it was too high for her to just throw it over, she chuckled to herself, shaking her head and crouching down on the floor to try and create a paper aeroplane, hoping it would help.

She managed to get it over, sitting back down in her seat to wait for a reaction, which followed shortly. The chuckle of her boyfriend made her grin proudly.

"Huh?" With a grin, she pushed herself up. "Can't you open your own door?"

"It's locked. Did you lock it?" He continued to tease her.

"What? Noo, how could you think of me like that," she answered before sending a guilty facial expression to the camera with her lips pressed tightly together.

Minnie was straightening down her hair when the live started while Wonwoo was unpacking the the chopsticks, placing one pair in front of the girl while keeping the other pair to himself. She quietly thanked him while her hands were still busy fixing her hair from the ponytail she had worn before,

"Good morning, Carats!" She greeted them, "Good day or good evening," and grinned into the camera when a piece of Kimbap got closer to her lips, making her lean forward and open her mouth to let herself get fed by the older member next to her.

Wonwoo did his greeting too, before eating another piece himself.

"Today," he started after swallowing, "I have the next guest on Gameboy," and motioned with his hand towards Minnie, who waved into the camera.

"Hey, everyone," she smiled.

"The reason for doing this live early is that we have to go to practice after this, so we have a time limit today," the '96 Liner explained while the female member nodded along, putting another piece of Kimbap into her mouth, happily moving around in her seat.

The rapper looked to his left, eyeing the girl with amusement, waiting for her to see his reaction.

Once their eyes met, Minnie immediately stopped in her tracks, covering her mouth as she chuckled.

"Mm," Wonwoo nodded with a smile. "Yeah, the food they give me here is always good."

"Well," the girl shrugged with a sigh, looking down at the floor, "I wasn't invited before, so I didn't know."

"Heyyy," the older member teased her as he reached for the food with his chopsticks, "Don't be sulky now."

"I'm not," she shook her head and crossed her arms, closing her eyes as she turned her head away from Wonwoo, making him chuckle.

The two decided to read out some comments and eat first before jumping into the game.

"Did you perm your hair?" Wonwoo read out a question by a fan. Minnie's eyes went to fix themselves on his head, her fingers reaching out to touch a strand.

"I did perm my hair, but it's not noticeable since it's still short. And the perm... It's not something that is very noticeable."

"But you did have really permed hair a few years ago," Minnie mentioned, getting a hold of the drink in a cup provided for her. "Carats really liked that."

For a few seconds, they continued to look at the screen in front of them when another interesting question popped up.

"Is Minnie a fan of the Gameboy lives?" Wonwoo read out loud, leaning back to watch her as she answered with an excited nod, getting a grin to form on his lips.

"I've been there since day one. I've watched all of them."

After discussing the pictures Wonwoo and Dokyeom took in Japan, and the collage he posted after their concert, Minnie found a comment she wanted to read out loud.

"Minnie should teach you how to edit collages," turning towards him with a proud smile on her lips.

"You can edit pictures very well, you make collages quite often," he told her, slightly chuckling at her facial expression.

She nodded. "But," the female member pointed out, "the collages that you're talking about, Carats don't get to see."

She looked back into the camera to continue. "I make collages with the members, so that at the end of each month, I can send them into the group chat and we can look back on what we did that month. Sometimes they take a bit longer, but I only send them to the members, I don't post them."

Wonwoo nodded, taking a sip from his own drink, "I forgot about that. But the other pictures you post are edited very well."

"But I don't think you should change your collage-making skills. It's very you. It's very Wonwoo."

He grinned at the girl's comment. "Very Wonwoo?" She chuckled along with a nod. "Then you should like that, right?"

For a few seconds too long the girl looked at the older rapper stunned, who smiled at her. 

['my dude, what did you just say in front of the camera'😳😅]

"W- Why...," she grinned before catching herself again, "I think, Carats should like it." Extending her arm to get a piece of chicken between her chopsticks. "They're the ones you should want to impress."

"Oh, yeah, you're right," he smiled, looking back at the screen to read more comments, jolting slightly all of a sudden before both of them started chuckling.

The two of them explained that Minnie was the Animal Crossing expert and would be the first to tour a few islands. They got to work, put in the code and travelled to the first island made by a Carat.

The female member was moving the character around, taking in every corner and every little detail the fan had left for them, explaining everything along the way when they arrived at the beach.

"Oh my god!" She exclaimed with a happy smile on her face, "It's Raymond!" 

[oh she's a REAL animal crossing fan]

She clicked on the right button to make the two characters interact, grinning at the screen while Wonwoo scrunched his eyebrows behind her.

"Raymond?"

"Yeah, he reminds me of you," she turned slightly to her left to look at the rapper next to her.

"That's why I have him on my island too." 

[she has her own wonwoo in her little imaginary, fictional island]

Making the other member laugh out loud and even some of the staff members behind the camera chuckle. "What?" She smiled. "He doesn't talk much, he's very smart, he wears glasses and he's a cat. That's Wonwoo."

She nodded, "I have a lot of characters on my island because they remind me of the members."

Wonwoo took a sip of his iced tea before continuing, "Next time, you should bring your Nintendo Switch, and then we can look at your island."

"Oh, look! A puppy!" The female member smacked the rapper's chest, who had his right arm on the backrest of her chair, to make him turn his attention away from the screen with the comments.

He dramatically grunted, clutching the place she had just hit as she pointed at the computer screen in front of her. "It's Mingyu."

While the rapper had gone to the toilet, it was Minnie's turn to entertain Carats on her own, reading through their comments.

"Are you excited for the new Taylor Swift album? YES!" She shouted excitedly, "Yes I am! I already pre-ordered the vinyl. I'm happy. I'm more than happy."

The smile never left her lips, giggling as she read the next comment, "Are you more excited about being on Gameboy or the Taylor Swift album?"

Minnie shook her head, "You guys... are really something. You can't compare those two. They're different types of happiness. But I'm also very very happy to be here. Although..."

She ran a hand through her hair. "I'm kind of not happy about the fact that Coups was here before me. Wonwoo prefers the leader over his own roommate... I don't know how to feel about that..."

For the last few seconds of being alone, a Carat dared Minnie to spin in her chair and not get dizzy because she had said before that she doesn't get dizzy easily due to her ballerina training. 

[just explain to me how this 25 year old woman can be so competitive with people she doesn't even know or see]

[like... she literally went 'oh, you don't think i can do it? watch me‘ MINNIE]

She was so focused on continuing to push herself with the help of the table, that she didn't notice the rapper coming back into the room. Not until the chair was suddenly stopped, scarring her as she looked up into the eyes of her boyfriend.

"Jesus! You scared me!"

[dude, you scared me, i thought you were gonna spin yourself out of that chair]

"What are you doing?" Wonwoo chuckled moving her slightly away to get to his chair, settling down as he kept his glance on the girl.

"A Carat dared me to spin and not get dizzy."

"And? Are you dizzy?"

She grinned at him. "Nope." Making him shake his head with a smile before turning his attention to the screen.

The rapper grinned to himself at the frustration of the female member, looking ahead at the screen filling up with comments while the girl's eyes were trained on the game.

"I never thought there would be another member better at gaming than Wonwoo," he read out loud, making both of them chuckle. "Yeah," the '96 Liner sighed, "Minnie is a lot better than me in these types of games. And Sims, and-"

"Fifa," she interjected, earning her a confused glance by him. At the sudden silence, she turned her head towards him, giggling. "What?"

"You're not better than me at Fifa."

She shrugged, "I could be."

But Wonwoo continued to shake his head, his eyes back on the camera. "She's not better than me at Fifa."

[he's letting her be better in animal crossing and sims, but this guy draws the line at fifa HAHAHAHA]

"Awww," Minnie's eyes went wide as she looked at the screen. "♪ We're going to the chapel and we're... gonna get married... going to the chapel, and we're... going to get married-♫"

Wonwoo away from the screen, taking a quick glance at the girl next to him. "What are you singing?"

"A wedding song. I think my mum used to listen to it. It's kinda old, but I just remembered it," she explained, while Wonwoo made his character run around the room to look at every detail.

"Aah, because it's a wedding hall?" He wondered, getting a hum from her in return.

[smart guy🤓]

"They made it really pretty," Minnie commented. "It reminds me of the set where we filmed the special video for 'April Shower'."

"Oh, right," the rapper agreed, "Maybe that's what the Carat wanted to portray."

"Maybe," the girl nodded.

"Maybe we should get married here." 

[sorry, i just choked on my water]

[he just threw that question into the room like that?!]

The sudden question threw Minnie off as her head snapped towards him, a nervous chuckle leaving her lips.

"What?"

He turned to meet her eyes, only grinning at the female member.

[minnie move, i gotta take this man to a wedding chapel]

"Eyy, you can't say stuff like that," she pushed his shoulder, making him laugh while she shook her head. "Sorry Carats, he's weird."

After they clicked off and made sure to save the game, the two idols turned towards the camera. Wonwoo did a big stretch, reaching back with his arms as the girl turned towards him.

"When can I come the next time?" He read out loud from the screen. Wonwoo thought for a second before answering, then directed his attention to one of the staff members behind the camera to make sure he wasn't spreading false information, all while Minnie was still focused on the comments.

"And Minnie-" the deep voice made her glance at the man next to her, "Will you be here next time?"

"If you invite me," she grinned at him.

[mh, tell him minnie]

With a chuckle, he nodded, "Okay, then let's see. If there's time we could play 'Howling Abyss'."

[is he trying to scare her away?]

[like... request another game she has never mentioned before dude]

"Oh..." she commented with a grimace.

"What?"

"Is that the one you tried teaching me?" She wondered. His nod confirmed her concern.

"Why?" A slight chuckle tumbled from his lips.

"I'm not good at it," she whined, suddenly clutching onto his arm, "Wonwoo, you can't make me play games that I'm bad at. I'll look like an idiot."

"Sure," he nodded with a smile.

Incheon Airport 231112

[idk what is in the air, but they've been so much closer i feel like?!]

The entire group was making their way through their airport, each member walking at their own pace, next to each other, in a line, or by themselves as they waved to the cameras that were following them through the building. Wonwoo and Minnie were in the middle, the rapper carrying his roll suitcase while the female member only had a small shoulder bag casually by her side. Both covered in big coats due to the cold weather. With all the screaming, shouting, and camera clicking around them, the couple, as well as the rest of the group, was used to not talking to each other while in pace, only once they would come to a halt or find a quieter spot after making it through the security check.

[i don't even want to know how stressful this can be😖]

They had reached the passport checkpoint, making them form a somewhat ordered line, each member standing behind another one, their managers and bodyguards by their side. The couple, who had stood close to each other the entire time was facing each other, leaning in slightly to hear the other person better. As there were still people in front of them, they had some time to pass.

[idk if this is a coincidence or if they're each wearing just one airpot BUT the fact that minnie is only wearing a right one and wonwoo is only wearing a left one?!?!?!?👀👀👀]

Minnie chuckled at something the '96 Liner had said, making her turn around to catch the lens of one of the cameras directly with her eye.

A quick smile was sent before she turned her direction back to the man in front of her, reaching up, thanks to his height, to adjust the bucket hat on his head, pulling it down just a tad bit more. 

[she makes sure he stays covered bc that's how he feels comfortable]

She let her left hand brush over his shoulder and to his back, giving him a few gentle and comforting pats.

The sound of his voice ringing through the one ear that didn't have an airpod in, made her lean in once again before nodding along to what the rapper was telling her.

Once the people in front of them in line were done and their turn had come, Wonwoo's hand on her back now pushed her forward slowly to go first, letting her know by tapping his fingers against her.

Minnie was quickly through, thanked the staff and moved further, coming to a halt behind the railing and taking the moment to turn to the cameras and fans one last time before they'd finally reached a more private area of the airport. The '96 Liner joined her, waving to the fans for a quick moment before turning around and following their manager with the female performer right by his side.

[INSIDE SEVENTEEN] SEVENTEEN ('FML' Promotions Sketch)

"Pre-recordings are usually always fun, but for some reason, the members are extra happy today," Minnie explained into the camera as they filmed a short interview in the hallway right before their Music Bank stage appearance. 

[can we just real quick give a shoutout to her stylist?! the makeup?! The outfits?! I'm in LOVE]

"But I'm not gonna complain about that. I'm very happy that they're... so excited, early on in the morning."

[minnie... this isn't their fault... you're just a morning person that i will never understand]

For a second, she looked around the room, focusing on something behind the camera. "I already took my pictures. I'm gonna post them on Instagram later. Now it's Junnie's turn," motioning for the cameraman to focus on the Chinese member who had just waddled his way into the small gap by the railing.

[and the pictures were FIRE]

"You know," the camera shot back to her, "I'm really glad you always do these interviews before our performances," Minnie chuckled. "Because after them..." she pressed her lips into a tight line before continuing, "You... you really don't want to see us that gross and out of breath and sweaty."

"I don't look good like that."

[yes you do, tf are you on about?!]

"So thank you for always... showing us from our good side-" her demeanour changed within a second as her attention paced to someone next to the cameraman. "What are you doing?!" She whined. "You're making me nervous, looking at me like that."

Once the camera moved to the side, Wonwoo's figure was revealed.

He had his arms crossed and a smirk decorated his face as his eyes were fixed on the female member, who had gotten closer to him to push him away playfully. Thanks to his stature, the rapper only budged slightly, making the girl sigh out loud.

"He's been standing there the entire time," she told the camera.

The '96 Liner continued to look at her. "What? I'm not allowed to stand here?"

"I'm talking about being disgusting and sweating, and you're just standing there, laughing at me," she shook her head, crossing her arms as she gazed at him.

Wonwoo chuckled at her comment, his nose scrunching up slightly. "I wasn't laughing AT you."

She rolled her eyes dramatically. "Whatever..."

Then, it was his turn to look into the camera. "Carats," he started, "I promise, I wasn't laughing at her. I was enjoying her interview just like you would."

[-... i'm gonna have a stroke]

"If you get over 90 on that karaoke machine, I'll give you 10." Minnie overheard Woozi's voice as she was washing her hands by the sink in the kitchen.

Her ears perked up when DK continued. "Okay, if you give it your all, I'll give you 30 grapes." She quickly dried her hands and rushed over to where some of the other members were sitting, watching Hoshi standing by the karaoke machine.

Hoshi saw her excited facial expression. "Minnie, you wanna do it with me?" To which she eagerly nodded, getting a chuckle from Wonwoo and Minghao, who had joined to watch and listen. 

[i LOVE hoshi and minnie interactions and i am begging for more]

"Okay," the leader of the performance unit spoke, "40 grapes for each, Minnie and I, and we will give you the best performance you have ever seen."

"20 each," Dokyeom tried to argue.

"30," the female member continued, raising her eyebrows at him as she accepted the microphone Hoshi was holding out for her.

[scoups taught her so well]

Her fellow '97 Liner nodded, "Alright, 30 for each of you if you get over 90 points and give a good performance."

Some of the other members joined in once they heard the start of the song, now very eager to see the two as they knew how dramatic they could get once given the opportunity.

"If your voices don't crack when we raise it up by two keys, you get ten," Mingyu offered loudly, making the girl turn around.

"Ten each!" She quickly interjected before focusing back on the song.

Hoshi and she continued, spinning each other around and truly giving the performance of their lifetime as theatrically and dramatically as possible as they sang their hearts out at the sad song they had chosen.

After the first verse was over, DK told them to cancel it and see what score they had gotten, but it didn't show, starting a small argument, that was quickly resolved.

Dokyeom took out the purple stickers, counting each one. "Okay, there's thirty for now, divide it by two, I can't be bothered to take out the other thirty."

"What? Wait, hold on," Minnie immediately argued.

[oooh... he fucked up]

"Mister Mediator! That's out of line! Isn't he out of line?" Hoshi immediately took her side.

Wonwoo raised his head to look at the trio.

"They only sang the first verse," DK tried to explain, but the female member pushed his hand away.

"Because you told us to cancel it after the first verse!"

"Wait, wait," the Mediator reached out, "Who said to cut it off?"

"He did!"

"Him!" Hoshi and Minnie pointed at their member at the same time, who raised his hands in defence.

[they're such siblings]

[imagine the reaction of hoshi and minnie if you had told them like 10 years go that they would one day be such a strong duo to go up against dk... they'd laugh in your face]

"I thought you could still see the score after the first verse," he explained. 

The female performer took her leader's hand and made him sit down with her. Dokyeom copied their antics, and soon all four of them were sitting in a circle, trying to explain the situation to Wonwoo.

"Wonwoo, you have to explain to him that he can't do that! He has to keep his promise," Minnie whined at the older member, her hand unknowingly on his knee.

"He's Mister Mediator, not Wonwoo," the main singer warned her.

She sent him a glare in return, "I can call him Wonwoo if I want to. And you stop nagging me and keep your promise!"

"But I didn't know!"

"That doesn't matter!"

After a bit more discussing, the '96 Liner rapper made sure they got the extra thirty they were promised when Hoshi decided to add something.

"But I was also deeply emotionally hurt by Dokyeom."

"You were?" Wonwoo questioned, turning to Minnie. "You as well?" Who nodded with a pout,

"Very."

[gotta ask the girlfreind as well]

"Okay," he patted her hand. "Dokyeom, give them five each extra."

[gotta make sure they're happy]

[well done mister mediator]

The other members watched the four in amusement when Mingyu decided to comment,

"Woah, everyone's making good money."

"That's right," Woozi chuckled, "But the mediator keeps making odd decisions."

"The mediator's a little weird."

"I think he's a bit biased," the producer of the group smiled at the facial expression from the girl that she made as an answer to his comment.

[BRO GOT CALLED OUT]

[minnie's reaction killed me hahah]

She grinned. "And I think others just need to learn, how to be more kind."

"Ugh, we need someone that got it right," Jeonghan sighed out loud after getting sent back in line a third time, still not getting the song right they had to chant out to Seungkwan.

[i could feel their tiredness through the screen during this entire scene]

Wonwoo, who was right next to him, eyes still half closed from being sleep-deprived, looked around the garden, finding the person he was looking for lying on the wooden floor of the porch.

"Minnie!" He called out, catching her attention as she raised her head to look at the members.

[LOOK AT HER]

[how could you not be in love with her]

[she looks so cute without makeup]

"Can you come here for a second?"

"Why?" She asked back, sitting up straighter.

"We need someone to sing the song for us," the '95 Liner explained. Shortly after Woozi, the female member remembered the song correctly as well and was able to go back into the house. Too bad for her that after waking up in the morning, the girl is usually unable to go back to sleep, explaining why she had decided to lounge outside instead, not joining their producer inside.

With a smirk, she ran her fingers through her hair. "Then you have to come here."

Jeonghan slapped Wonwoo's shoulder gently nutdging towards the '97 Liner. "Go."

Before even starting to argue, the rapper made his way over to his girlfriend, who was already smiling at him.

"You really don't remember it after three rounds?" She wondered. Wonwoo took a seat right next to her, his hand gently grazing her knee, stopping to rest it right there as she was sitting with her legs crisscrossed.

The older member yawned, his eyes trained on the rest of the group that was still getting hit on the head with the rubber hammer. "No one remembers the second verse correctly."

Minnie nodded. "It's 'Let's go to the market, the FUNNY market. Everything is there, the market's full of fun'. All of you are saying 'the fun market'."

With scrunched eyebrows, he turned his head, gazing at the girl who was grinning teasingly at him. "How long have you been listening to our struggle?"

"Ever since I finished," she couldn't help but giggle at his reaction, her forehead touching his shoulder affectionately.

[AAAAH BACKGROUND ACTION]

[AFFECTION FROM WONNIE]

Wonwoo chuckled, "And you didn't think to help us?"

"You never asked."

The rapper stood up with a shaking head, the smile still prominent on his face as he walked back to Jeonghan, who was already awaiting him, but not before he let his fingers tighten around Minnie's knee, making her jolt up and slap him out of reflex.

He laughed at her reaction - he knew how much she hated whenever someone did that to her.

[INSIDE SEVENTEEN] ('Super' Choreography Practice Sketch)

The idol group had finished their final practice of the choreo to 'Super' and everyone was cleaning up to leave. Some decided to stand behind for a few more minutes, talking to the choreographers and dancers. The cameraman for this Inside Seventeen episode caught Dokyeom and Dino before they were able to head off, now standing in front of the camera, talking about the exhausting day they had just put behind.

[not wonnie related but can we talk about how fucking good they look, thank you]

In the background, Wonwoo, wearing a green puffer vest, was engulfed in a conversation with three of the 200 extra dancers they had brought in for that last day. Nodding along to whatever story they were telling, he got distracted when Minnie's familiar figure walked up next to him.

Without even thinking about it, he opened his left arm, welcoming the girl into a comforting side hug. A warm smile spread on her lips as she wrapped her arms around his torso, letting her cheek rest on his shoulder.

[NOT SO LITTLE, BUT STILL BACKGROUND]

For a quick minute, the rapper leaned down to whisper something into her ear, to which the girl nodded before getting included in the conversation by one of the female dancers who had been talking. As soon as the sound of the '96 Liner's deep voice rang through her ears, Minnie lifted her head to look at him.

When everyone started chuckling at something that was being said, she straightened her back and dropped the arm that was wrapped around his front - Wonwoo's stayed around her shoulders, gently rubbing up and down her upper arm.

[INSIDE SEVENTEEN] SEVENTEEN (The Game Caterers Shoot Sketch)

Just as Seungcheol was coming down the stairs, Wonwoo and Minnie arrived and made their way up, passing the cameraman who was filming for their new Inside Seventeen episode. The female member was behind the rapper, both of her hands on his back, playfully pushing him to move quicker as he was slow in his steps.

With sleep still written all across his face, Wonwoo turned to his left to wave at the camera. "Hi," he simply said, continuing his walk up.

Minnie stopped in her tracks to look at the camera with a big smile, taking a step forward to get a bit closer. "Good morning!" 

[again: everyone else is completely normal, and then we have minnie. the morning person]

Her voice held much more cheer than any of the other members.

But as quick as she was there, she jolted up the steps as the camera moved to show that Wonwoo had also stopped to wait on her. The two continued side by side.

[he waited for her...]

Wonwoo had just gotten out of the car, coming to a halt right at the door. Next, and last, Minnie stepped out, revealing her figure. Over one shoulder, she had a dark backpack, that was swiftly taken off her by the '96 Liner, who threw it over his own shoulders in a quick move. 

[he ain't letting her carry ANYTHING]

The girl put on her sunglasses right away as the flashing lights had already started to blind her, making the rapper react quickly. He tried to cover her as she turned around to use the car door as an emergency mirror, for just a moment. 

[it's giving timothée chalamet and saoirse ronan and I'm so here for it]

When she was about to lean forward, wanting to get something out of the vehicle, Wonwoo beat her to it and pulled out a rolling suitcase. He let it hit the floor before pulling the handle up, ready to move forward and join the other members that had already gathered by the crosswalk.

The couple started to make their way past the cars, straight ahead, with Wonwoo at a slightly quicker pace due to his longer legs, making the girl have to almost jog to catch up with him as she reached out for the handle to take control over her luggage. The rapper's head, half of his face covered by a bucked hat, turned to her, looking down at where their hands met. He placed his free on on top of hers, pushing it away, only for her to repeat her action, still trying to claim her suitcase. 

[if your man doesn't fight you wanting to carry your luggage, is he even your man?]

[never settle for less is what I'm learning here]

[thank you wonwoo for raising my standards yet once again]

Wonwoo stood his ground and just continued to carry it forward, making the girl shake her head as she stopped next to Dokyeom, turning to him with a smile that he returned.

[INSIDE SEVENTEEN] SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [BE THE SUN] NORTH AMERICA BEHIND #1

During one of their breaks in their concert, some of the members had gathered around right behind the stage, some having decided on sitting on the stairs, while others went for the possibly slightly more comfortable choice on one of the plastic chairs the staff had put up - Hoshi and Wonwoo were two of them. With a grin on his face, patted the rapper his own thigh as soon as Dino had approached him, a bottle of water in his grip. The maknae denied the proposal, only for the older to continue the action, his palm repeatedly hitting the silver fabric of his pants.

Minnie was right behind Minghao, appearing from one of the black doors, joining the members that were currently being filmed. She was still adjusting the microphone around her head as she saw the '96 and '99 Liners' interaction, giggling.

The corner of her lips curled up as she watched the youngest shaking his head each time Wonwoo motioned for him to sit down, giving her the opportunity to take his place. With only a few steps, she stopped right in front of the rapper, turning around and taking a seat on the thigh he had been patting only a second ago, getting a burst of laughter from him in return.

[girl took that like it was reserved for her]

Dino, who now had his eyes on the couple almost choked on his water as he started laughing, putting down the bottle he was holding.

[HIS REACTION😂😂]

"If you won't, I'll gladly accept the seat," she grinned at the youngest, who saluted her, making her and Wonwoo chuckle.

[oh minnie same]

The camera didn't miss the hand he had placed on her left thigh as he rested his forehead on her shoulder, his shoulders still shaking from laughing.

The couple hadn't yet realised they had gotten caught during the thumb wrestle they had started with each other while waiting to go back on stage in Fort Worth. Minnie was trying to free her hand from Wonwoo's tight grip, pulling away with the strength she had left, but he easily caught her thumb with his, making him laugh and her whine out loud. 

[again, so cute for what]

Only then, did she realise the camera had been on them, gazing at the cameraman with wide eyes and her lips pressed together as she mouthed, 'Did you just see me lose?' To which the camera moved up and down. 

[GIRL]

[we've been watching you WINNING in life for quite a while]

[you get to do stuff like this on the regular]

[you are WINNING my friend, trust me]

The rapper turned his head in confusion, which got washed away as soon as he saw the light that was attached to the device.

With their hands still interlocked, the female member released her fingers and used her other hand for more strength as she held onto Wonwoo's, trying hard to curve his fingers, so they'd create the other half of her heart. The '96 Liner continued to laugh at her antics as he watched her struggle. 

[HE'S A MENACE]

For a second, the girl managed to get his fingers in the right position, making her quickly turn to the camera and smile before dropping his hand only a second later, getting another chuckle from the man in return. While she kept a disappointed look on her face, Wonwoo got a hold of her hand, patting it gently as he formed a finger heart with his free hand, getting a chuckle out of her.

Minnie joined him and sent a wink in the camera's direction in addition.

TADC Ep 2 - Depression and the Meaning of Life

Well, I may or may not be a day late to release of the episode, but I've watched it three times so far and I have some thoughts. Let's get the gritty stuff outta the way.

First of all, The Amazing Digital Circus belongs to @gooseworx and therefore everything I say here is just my personal take on the episode. I could be wrong, talking out my ass, etc. But this episode really spoke to me, so good job Goose.

Secondly, spoilers <3

Third, I think I've written enough that people won't get jumpscared with spoilers. This is gonna be a long read, so bear with me. This post will contain ALL my thoughts on the episode, both meaningful and just silly things I liked.

BUBBLE

So anyone who knows me from Bunnydoll Burrow knows I love Bubble. They're my favorite so far and this episode only cemented that further. They're wonderful comedic relief and even if they don't have any character development (which I don't think they will), I will always love them.

Caine Cares Too Much

While watching this, I was immediately off-put by Caine's reactions, even beginning with him calling Zooble back. He sounds so... dire? I don't know if that was intended to mean something or if it was just to put emphasis on how much Caine cares about his creations. Caine is AI, so world-building is likely his ONLY goal, or his prompt if you will. It wouldn't surprise me if that was why he was so upset by everyone's reactions.

But I can't help but wonder if this will play into his character arc. We understand that Caine is ambiguous right now and there's no real explanation of what his intentions are in the Circus. Something about this just really set me off. It made me feel unsafe in a way as if staying behind would result in danger of some kind. Obviously, it couldn't be that bad, as Zooble did stay behind and turned out fine. Still, I can't shake the feeling that this is foreshadowing.

Zoobie

Hilarious. What a solid nickname, I've seen so many headcanons that Zooble would be a stoner in the real world. This only makes it better. They are now Zoobie in my mind.

Pomni's Child Comment

While I'm sure this was just a silly comment to be made, I kinda liked it. Just a little in-show reminder that through all of this, Pomni is a real, grown-ass woman stuck inside some digital Hell. The whole first episode, we see her wallowing and panicking, justifiably so. Finally, we get to see her grow more serious and stable.

Through the episode, we see more of her being a good character and becoming more at terms with her situation. I'll touch on this more soon.

Gangle

My girl CANNOT catch a break. Gangle is such a funny character and so, so sweet. She's level-headed in my opinion, even through her emotions. She seems to have a good grip on the shit happening around her but has a hard time communicating properly because she has a lot of feelings going on. Me too, honey, me too.

Even in the face of violence, danger, and overall shitfuckery, she doesn't shut down. Sure, she cries. But I've cried plenty of times while still holding the fort down. I think I just relate to her.

Lastly, I NEED to know what this means like I need oxygen.

Government Mandated Shipping

I dunno man, I just really liked this. I'm a shipper at heart. I've been writing fanfic since middle school. I saw pure fanfic material when I watched this scene.

Kinger and Raggs

This scene made me smile. It's a cute nod towards how Kinger is the longest-standing character and, according to some lost post of Goose's, Ragatha is the second. Plus, all of episodes one and two, we see her trying so hard to be a rock for Pomni. She tries to include everyone, keep everyone cheerful, and be a stable constant in a realm of chaos; Seeing Kinger recognize how far she's come and using that to bring her back to reason was just so refreshing. Ragatha deserves more appreciation like that: less about what she does for others, and more about what she's done for herself.

Jax's Disappointment

So we don't know much about Jax besides how Goose loves him and says he's an asshole who may or may not be irredeemable. When he started talking about violence and getting excited at the thought, I chalked it up to him being an ass. But it struck me just how much this mattered to Jax in this scene. I have questions, man. But I'm about to go on a wild tangent, so hear me out.

Jax is happy when being destructive. He gets immediately upset when things go well. And in the circus, we can assume that there have been a lot of traumatic, wild things that have occurred. I wonder if the chaos, the violence, is a comfort for Jax because of those traumatic experiences. As a person with trauma, I've learned that there's a funny cycle that I and other traumatized people experience.

We don't like the situations we're in, but when faced with normalcy, it's so much scarier than the damaging situation we come from. So, we run from 'normal' back into the suffocating arms of our traumatizing situations for comfort. Going back to the situation means more trauma, more trauma means a harder time finding peace in a safe, normal environment, which means more trauma... you get the picture.

So am I saying a fictional purple bunny is using violence in a digital realm to cope with the very real topic of trauma? Maybe. Yes. Yes, I am. This is how I cope.

Depression, Finding Your Place, and the Bigger Picture

Now you may be saying, "hey! You skipped over some major scenes to talk about silly stuff! What gives?"

Well, as the title of this post suggests, I had some heavier stuff to address in this episode and wanted to compile it all in one section. So that meant skipping over a scene to bunch it in with other ones. I'll break it down.

Depression

Let me begin with the fact that I have been diagnosed with depression for years now. I've been hospitalized for it and I've had family members struggle with it around me. This heavily influenced how I viewed this episode and specifically this scene.

Gummigoo had a perfectly reasonable reaction to seeing the perfect replica of him that is his model. Seeing something like that would shatter your world, and we see that happen to him immediately.

But when Gummigoo talked to Pomni and asked why anything matters, it gave me this really familiar feeling. Thoughts of being nothing, of feeling meaningless, the mere idea of being an obstacle--I've experienced all of these. I'm sure others have. Pomni was right when she said it's normal. Everyone has felt down from time to time.

But what Gummigoo is talking about really hit home with my depression. Thoughts like these, especially when they linger for long, change how you view the world. Everything is tinted blue and desaturated. You feel empty and eventually, so does the world around you. You feel like when the party is over and everyone leaves, you disappear--or you think you should, at least.

"Why are you trying to cheer me up? How does this benefit you at all?"

And it's so, so hard to accept help when feeling like this. Depression is a bitch in the way that it wants you to stay depressed. It feels like everyone around you wants you to feel better because it is a convenience for them. It almost feels transactional if you smile.

But Pomni says it so beautifully; "I guess I just don't want you to feel like you're nothing. I don't want anybody to feel like that."

The way she says it makes me feel like she knows the feeling too, and in reality, she says she does understand in a way how Gummigoo feels. But that? That made it real for me. I don't know why. This whole scene, the entrapment and loneliness despite not actually being alone, just embodied how I've felt for years. What amazing writing.

Finding Your Place

This scene was really the cherry on top of everything I just spoke about. We see that these two understand each other, at least as much as they can. They recognize all of this, it's ridiculous. They're hurtling through space into the unknown, hoping everything works out. They may feel empty, but they're not alone. They've got each other, for better or worse. Maybe they don't know where they belong in this liminal space, but they know where they stand in each other's minds.

And then we get this ending scene. God. Fuck.

I knew that there was obviously something to that dream Pomni had in the beginning, but somehow I didn't expect this to be the conclusion to it. I guess I was too distracted by everything else. So when I got to this shot, I got all warm and teary-eyed.

Pomni finally feels like she's got a pack, a place in this digital circus. When you don't feel mentally alone anymore, there seems to be a weight that's lifted off your shoulders. It doesn't cure the sadness, but at least you know that if you need to be picked up, someone will be there. Depression wants you to be alone, but it just lost that battle. The internet has said it best: A win is a win.

The Bigger Picture

We all know where the end of the road is. How we get there is the mystery. This thought can really make a person feel small, especially when depression comes in to tell you that you in fact are small, according to the chemicals in your brain. But the power of numbers and knowing your place in the world makes facing the unknown a little easier.

I'll be honest, the words are kinda lost on me at this point. Our demise is a really hard topic to broach. I've lost a lot of people, especially some major players in my life (shoutout to the Dead Dads club), and still, I don't understand it all. But the best way I can explain it is through my own experience and how I applied it to this episode.

I had for a long time gone through life trying to prepare and prepare. I played the role of the strong, unaffected individual after being hardened by trauma in childhood. I didn't want to be outwardly emotional, because if I was I would have to admit defeat.

It made me feel weak, especially when my depression would whisper nasty things to me about my self-worth. The bigger picture at that time didn't even exist in my mind. I lived to serve and die. It was no way to live.

Only recently, with time, a couple grippy sock vacays and therapy have I started to form my own, new big picture. At the center of this is my interactions with others. Family, friends, and strangers, all of them are affected by my actions. Even during the days when I feel worthless or alone, I remind myself that even the little things I do have a spiderweb effect. I have worth, more so than serving others or being some obstacle. I can simply walk down the street and perhaps I'll be the person who some kid looks at and hopes to look like when they're older. My existence is so much more than just a give-and-take situation with everyone around me.

It felt like Pomni found her purpose in the circus, and it was more than just playing along until the end. Rather, it was to befriend the people around her who have proved in one way or another way that they care. Abstraction wasn't in vain to them. Lives mattered, and therefore so did Pomni.

In a vast, digital world where chaos looms like a grey cloud, Pomni always mattered. She just had to realize how, and it was much more than being an obstacle or a pawn. And so do we, I think.

I don't have a ton of theories about the killer other then like...in most fnaf it's usually the human security guard....so it's probably Vincent....

Eclipse's scream when finding that one kid he desperately wanted to save was intense. I also was so sad when Puppet found Evelyn.

I think it is interesting how him being a product of fusion basically made him immune to the virus. It's really interesting but also later on I think he probably did just go actually insane. Them bringing the cure and stabbing him with it might have just rebooted his system and he was like "I don't have to act anymore." Ruin is so interesting man. I sometimes imagine he's got one of those mecha council situations where he can still actually hear Sun and Moon when he's extremely conflicted. Ruin also called himself Eclipse. What a guy. Nexus crippled poor grandpa someone needs to give him a cane.

Sams EP: "A plan for a DRAGON in VRchat" Goliath "Are you like them" Sun "....? I don't know what you mean by that...what???"

"I'm not really as smart as Moon or Solar is...I mean really..I mean Moon made this whole thing. So uhh-?"

Goliath "Are you as heartless....as desperate for this sort of.... attraction?" Sun "Wh-what?" Goliath "You might be pathetic, but you are so much more than them."

Ok what was Goliath SAYING?!?!? I turned on captions and I can parse that he legit said attraction. I'm so CONFUSED. In the entire context it felt like Goliath was trying to get Sun to understand something but he couldn't say it. He paused to gasp for breath . It gave vibes like he's trying to pick the right phrasing. He knows Sun isn't heartless but he asks if he's desperate. I noticed he still wants to call them family though, that's interesting to me....

I think Goliath is maybe referring to how he knows Sun feels sympathy towards him, so he's saying Sun is worth more because of that? Goliath you are so hard to read. Goliath sounds scared to fight the Wither Storm Dragon too, so maybe he just wants to know if Sun agrees with the plan? (which Sun doesn't agree)

Or maybe for Goliath it's literal? It's worth it to talk to Sun because he might call him family and may not just leave him to the wolves.

Not much to add for eps "Jack meet Molten" and "Dazzle meets Molten" besides its tooth rottingly sweet. Jack meeting Molten and his first instinct is to bring him to meet Dazzle is SO sweet. Dazzle seems like she still feels bad about getting Neptor caught.

I love the 'kids' hanging out. Wish FC could join them, he just got heaps of horrible trauma. Dazzle might be a cool friend for Andrew too. (I'm p sure the spirit with FC is Andrew?)

I did not realize they'd make Molten more childlike? It's so sweet to see something so scary turn out to be so innocent. On top of Dazzle just not being afraid at all of Molten. Even Jack was so chill.

It's great when kids aren't afraid at all.

OH and the LAES EP "Taurus TRAINS LUNAR in VRchat" lmao Lunar running around while being haggled. I feel like Taurus is the kind of guy who tries to get people mad to 'activate' their powers. Like he's trying to get Lunar to cut loose. It's how a lot of begrudging powerhouse teacher types are.

Not sure why Taurus is like "not sure why you're alive" Taurus is so funny he's like. "You are tiny." Lunar "Yes I am." Taurus "Who said you're tiny?" Lunar "...???" Taurus "I'm going to kill you in training" Lunar - gets scared and runs around- Taurus -chases him but doesn't attack at all- Taurus later "That was a good run. but you suck at running." Lunar "....???"

Taurus "Blow up a mountain" Lunar -rambles about the heat that rocks need to burn- Taurus "I do not like this robot speak."

EAPS EP "Eclipse TRACKS DOWN HENRY EMILY!" Vincent just finding Eclipse like "Bro, dude...what are you doing here???"

It's interesting Vincent is devolving into accusing everyone around him but honestly understandable he doesn't have anything to go off. I hope they stop the killer before another kid dies. This is messed up man. I like how Eclipse always talks about how he's Moon this, Moon that. But also still shares values from Sun and genuinely wanted to save the kid's Sun loved in the daycare. It's nice to see Eclipse's Sun side show. Because he was built in Sun's head. Puppet seems messed up about a lot, calling herself useless. It's pretty messed up.

The Story of Pearl Girl (ep. 16)

Okay, we have seriously entered the fluff zone here. So much so that I'm already bracing myself for what's going to come next XD Never ever believe a sweet romantic candy relationship period in a cdrama - as a rule, it will come and bite your bums hard later in the series.

But for now, I just can't with these two :3 I know that the transition from boss/subordinate to a romantic fling might be too fast, but I'm letting it slide just because they're sooooo sweet together. It's like drinking a marshmallow cocoa on a chilly autumn day, guys.

Yan Zijing is all smiley and lovey-dovey, Duan Wu can't look anywhere but at him. This is exactly what happens when you fall hard for someone (well, when it's mutual). I've watched the scene at the market a few times - it's just oozing cuteness.

Well, they have been through a lot together. Seeing your future hubby the man you really like all poisoned and chained inside a mine can do things to a girl. And she seems to be straightforward in everything she does, so Duan Wu told YZJ she'd be protecting him from now on XD Made him promise not to risk his life anymore. Actually, I love this girl-protecting-her-boo trope. Especially when it's Liu Yuning we're talking about, with his height and gorgeous looks XD

God bless Yan Zijin's makeup)) Magnetic eye-stare, while Duan Wu is realizing she doesn't want to see this man get hurt, not on her watch.

She goes for the hug. At this point, they both realize the feeling is mutual. It does feel natural tbh.

And then there's Kang Ju XD The embodiment of the whole fandom, just standing there and staring at them because he 'accidentally' entered the room (the door was open, ya know?)

After this, things went bonkers and now the whole team knows they're kinda sorta into each other and the two pf them even had a coming out as couple (yes, just like that). Makes me wonder about the 17 ep, and I'm gonna watch it now, so fearless I am XD

But to tell you the truth, it would be refreshing just to watch them grow closer and become a power couple in the second half of the show. Maybe have kids and grow old together. Is it just me wanting a full-on happy relationship show? XD I guess so, ah)))

Happy Wednesday Fandom :) We got a trailer! Some bits in is for our couple not a ton but I am intrigued what S6 will bring. This episode has me grinning the entire time. Just fluffy cuteness the entire time and I was so here for it. Kid talks and amazing moments. Good one. This ep Is comedy gold.

5x17 The Enemy Within.

That theme I talked about last ep is how we start off. How adorable they are when they find each other at the station. Lucy speed walking to catch up to him. Tim with the biggest smile on his face. Like he didn’t just see her in roll call earlier. *heart clutch* Just happy to see his wifey at work. I love the effect this woman has on him. (Another theme in this ep). I just love S5 Tim in general. Happy and light seeing her come up to him. Making his day with her presence. Damnit I love them so much. Lucy starting off with him not hating her LMAO His smile dropping off asking what she’s done? Haha

Be more married you too my goodness. I do love how quickly they fall into step with each other as they speak. Seriously never had a couple with such good physical chemistry without even touching. The flirting here is amazing. We watch Tim not really be mad and fighting back a smile in the second gif. Once again the effect this woman has on him is incredible. She is beyond adorable with her retort of how he should reply. We all know Tim could never hate her. Angry, exasperated or annoyed. Yes ha But never hate.

We find out Lucy was playing the long game for getting back at Tim for something. Clearly before they were together since it was for a Tim Test few months back. He wants to know which one? She can't remember...It was bad enough to make her do this but not enough to remember which test. Oh Lucy. lol Angered her enough to do this then forget she'd done it ha Tim asks once again 'What did she do?' Lucy lets him know she signed him up to be a mentor... For make a dream.... Tim is exasperated af asking when she planned this? Lucy dreads the answer but tells him today….

Lucy goes on that a 12 year old cancer patient named Jordy is on his way. Tim walks away from her and I LOVE her grabbing his arm. Making him stay put. Tries to put a good spin on it. Saying he would be lifting up a sick kid. What could be more important than that? Tim commends her for her answer. Telling her nice job boxing him in. Except he’s not going to let her get away with this. Did she really expect him to do this solo? LOL Sassy Tim has arrived and is throwing back her own words at her. Lucy doesn't have a leg to stand on. Just concedes and joins him. Fantastic start to a hilarious episode for them.

Jordy arrives and Tim and Lucy couldn’t be cuter. The way they look at each other is precious. Also hello height difference I always welcome you to our screen. The way Lucy is looking at Tim while he talks to Jordy. Like she needed another reason to be in love with him. Getting glimpses into Tim as a dad. That instant ovary explosion. Don’t blame her one bit.

Tim couldn’t be cuter saying he heard he wants to be a cop. Jordy doesn’t seem as enthused as Tim and Lucy. Nonetheless Tim looks super cute saying they’re going to take him to processing. Lucy’s fully bodied shimmy is so adorable I cannot. She is very excited to play parents with Tim.

They’re in processing and Lucy is trying to get Jordy to engage. Tim isn’t short on sarcasm in this episode. I’m dying it’s so funny. Telling him to look miserable LMFAO. Lucy’s face. Chiding her husband a little bit. But also realizing how unhappy this kid is. Love her walking up to him and sharing her worries as well. Tim noting he looks like he hates them. Lol Lucy doesn’t disagree….Saying maybe he hates his picture being taken? Or he’s miserable cause he’s tired from being sick?

Tim says they should just move onto the next thing then. They turn around and Jordy is gone. Had this kid for all of 20 minutes and they lost him already LOL This episode is so great. Had me rolling the entire time. I remember seeing a hilarious post after this premiered. Celina dealing with her sisters murder, Angela/Harper/Grey dealing with Elijah. And Tim and Lucy keep losing the same kid LMAO They are the comedic relief in this one for sure.

Lucy is in a legit panic. It’s so funny. Saying she doesn’t know what she’s going to tell the foundation. Full on sarcasm saying she can’t wait to tell them they lost him. LOL Tim is so calm and chill. Saying they didn’t lose him... he’s just misplaced LMFAO. Oh my lord Timothy I’m crying I’m laughing so much. She is being the worried sick parent and he’s being the calm one.

I love them looking for Jordy whilst also talking about their future kids. Getting me all in my damn feels. Tim being so friggin chill about them finding him. Lucy saying when it’s ’OUR’ kids OUR. They’re so casual about it. I’m losing my damn mind. That when it is their kids he better take it seriously. Tim defending their future kids also making me feel things. Saying ‘Our’ kids would never pull a stunt like this.

Look at Lucy’s face when he makes that remark though. She is beaming watching him talk about their future kids. They’re trying to murder me in this ep and I’m very ok with it. I may need to go lie down but I’m ok haha Lucy gets caught up in the thought of them having kids. And is pulled back to the present with Tim’s sassy departure LOL Saying they’re doing great so far. Sarcasm king in this one and I love it so very much. Lucy's face when he leaves too funny.

They run into Aaron and he has Jordy. Lucy looks so relieved. She asks what they talked about? Aaron says he kept asking him what his childhood pet was. Lucy looking confused as hell asks why? We see this kid stumble and get nervous for first time. Saying it’s for a report…Tim's face smelling BS but he isn't sure why. They’re trying figure what to do next. Tim suggests the war room? He doesn’t seem excited…Lucy mentions K-9 unit. Ask if he likes dogs?

Tim is over this kid. Saying what kid doesn’t like dogs? (I mean he’s not wrong…) Lucy scolding him like only she can. Such a wifey scolding too it’s so funny. Tim makes the kid sit while they figure this out. Lucy says maybe the impound lot? This is where Uncle Tim comes in and I love it so much. Talking about his nephews and what they’re into right now. My heart. He seems very confused on what it actually is they like and it’s hysterical. Pop culture never been his strong suit and I love him for it. I'll be honest idk what ghosts on the toilet is either. LOL

Lucy is enjoying his explaining this stuff. Amused really. You can tell she’s cracking up as he goes on. Picturing him with his nephews and loving that mental image. They're so busy flirty they don’t see Jordy take off on them again. They turn around and he’s gone….They lost the kid again LMAO Back to being worried parents. They ask the most clueless guy in the building if he’s seen Jordy? Ha Of course he hasn’t…Nolan is lucky he knows what's going on in his own SL.

They’re in Sally Port looking for Jordy. Legit looking under shops. Don’t hate the shot of Tim in this scene. Hello booty shot. His phone starts going off and he groans as he comes back up and says it’s a Grey. Lucy voices her irrational fear about Grey knowing they lost him twice. I’m rolling. Why would he know that Lucy? LOL Tim’s face is everything to this comment of hers. Loves his panicked wife and her ridiculousness.

Lucy is legit pacing back and forth while Tim is on the phone. Grey is asking him to run an OP for him. The last thing Tim needs on his plate right now. It is sexy how he coordinates it and says he’ll fold in later. Mmm. Then asks Lucy if she’s enjoying her revenge for his Tim Test? Lucy says she isn’t... Does a cute little love tap on his arm and has him follow. I love it.

They find Jordy at a computer. Tim scares him and asks what the hell he’s doing? I love the in-sync head tilts. They see he is googling how to delete traffic tickets. Lucy goes off on a nerd rant about how those are processed in a different office. She catches herself and looks at Tim. He’s so used to her nerdy ways at this point doesn't phase him in the least.

Just backs what she’s saying. That even if he could do that here it’s a crime to do so. Poor kid folds. Says his dad told him to because they couldn’t afford the fines. Tim asks if he really has cancer? Lucy scolds him once again. I love this. He tells them yes that part is true. Lucy asks if he wants to be a cop? He says no they’re wack. Lmao The way the look at each other I cannot. The kid wanted a football game not this. HA

Tim mentions if he’s googling this no way he’s a a hacker. Asks how he gained access to the computer? Jordy hands him the sticky note. Tim is so damn incensed I’m dying. Lucy asking did Smitty really need a sticky note? He couldn’t just remember this? I love the way Tim snatches the note and takes off. He is so very done with this day and this kid. Smitty's incompetence being the icing on the cake of his day. This episode is comedy gold I love it sfm.

They bring Jordy’s father in. Telling him they could charge Jordy with a crime. That he had illegal access to a police computer. The dad starts to panic and says they can’t do that. He’s just a kid. He has cancer. Lucy says no one wants to charge Jordy. Him on the other hand… Mr. Yates starts to freak out more. Saying it was just couple tickets. Lucy mentions it’s 37....

Holy crap dude that’s a lot of tickets. That him using his son. A minor no less to help out makes it a felony. One that could send him to jail. The dad pleads with them. Saying his medical costs are crushing them. That if he doesn’t pay for the tickets he’ll lose his license and car. Saying he knows he messed up. He can’t go to jail his family needs him.

Then we hit one of my favorite portions of this episode. Their silent communication has always been a glorious wonder. It hits new heights in this scene. Because the minute he looks at his girl he knows what that look means. It’s why he answers with a ‘Lucy really?’ He goes from you can’t be serious. To how am I supposed to say no to that? Lucy doesn’t have to say a damn word.

That’s the beauty of their connection. Says everything she needs to in that puppy dog look. Man is whipped and we all love it. Her empathy shining through and getting to Tim in this moment. I said it couple times in this episode. The effect this woman has on him is immense. It was continuously through out this one. In the best way possible.

That man has zero defense against that look she gives him. Absolutely zero. Can you imagine a little version of Lucy doing this to him? If they end up having a daughter. She’s gonna have this man wrapped around her finger. Just like his wife does. God help him haha All Lucy had to do was give him that glance and he was in shambles. As we all know Tim would do anything for that woman standing next to him.

He came into this conversation ready to put that man in jail. But then the love of his life looks his way and it’s over. I’ll never be over how amazing their silent communication is. We are so lucky to have a couple this amazing without even saying a word. There’s that country song ‘You say it best. When you say nothing at all.’ If that ain’t them. Tim folds and says he’s not sending Mr. Yates to jail. I love how he looks at Lucy before he tells him that. Knowing she is the reason behind him is doing this.

It’s so good. Man is so soft for his girl and this scene is proof of that. Ugh I love it. Melissa’s and Eric crushing it per usual. Tim says he can go to Daddy and me Traffic school. There’s an arcade that Jordy will love it. As if Lucy needed another reason to love this man next to her. Mr. Yates asks how he can make it up to them? ‘Be a better father to your son’. Hot damn you tell him Tim.*fans self* Mmm. Yum. Got to be soft but still little authoritative at the end. I’ll take it.

We rejoin them in the station. Tim done with his OP for Grey. Lucy coming over mentioning his how Daddy and me traffic school sounds fun. Tim replying 'Yeah Jordy will get 5 dollars in tokens too.' Lucy letting him know it was a really nice gesture. I love her coming up to him and letting him know this. Making sure he knows what a wonderful thing he did for them. That it was so sweet. This scene makes me squee for so many reasons.

Tim letting her know he wanted to throw that guy in jail. You could tell when he entered that room he was ready to throw down. It wasn't sitting well with him Yates putting his son in a position like that. Lucy replying ‘But?’ Tim bestowing the best compliment he could on her. Touching on the theme of this episode I think. The fact she’s a good influence on him. I mean it exudes out of him now a days. She already was before they got together. Now it’s increased ten fold the effect Lucy has on him.

Lucy and her view of the world. A thing that used to drive him absolutely bonkers. So much so he tried to show her the underbelly of L.A. to dampen it. That same light and view has now rubbed off on this man. Soaking him in that sunshine she gives off. I can’t with how many feels this is giving me. And he’s telling her as such. He’s known for a long long time what a good influence she is. But he’s telling her in person. With heart eyes galore to boot. Such love and admiration on his face for her. *internally screaming*

Naturally he complimented her so she needs to do one right back. Telling him with just as much adoration and affection might I add. That he’s going to be a great dad someday. We know that’s true. Also we know Lucy is already picturing him as that great father to their kiddos. I just love how causally they talk about their future kids. It’s a thing that’s just an eventuality. The level of comfortability around the topic just shows us where they're at. How serious they both are.

Tim needing to tease her now that they’ve been soft. It’s so damn funny. Look at his pleased smile when he does it. Look at that man in the final gif. Could power a city with that smile. He so loves to tease her. Lucy is exasperated with him but still smiling regardless. She loves this infuriating man in front of her so much.

They couldn’t be happier or more adorable. It blows my mind still we get to have them together. Not only that but this level of ship goodness. Straight flirting, complimenting and teasing. They’re so in love I might pass out from all my feelings haha Such a good ep for them.

Fangs of Fortune

First impression (ep. 1 to 22)

I just start with the things I like the most:

Friendship and physical care: 30/10 I've never seen such care between a big group of people. Like when someone's is hurt, they comform eachother, not only with words but physically as well. And I think it's great to see that women care for eachother, not because they are implicated by a man, but because they have a relationship with eachother. Not considering the main couple in this, but the friendship and care among the men is also really touching, it isn't cheesy or feels overly emotional, it's feels very natural.

The main cast shares a deep bond and that isn't just that they help eachother to stand up, but whenever something happens they grieve together. (Even though this drama will probably break the record for most tears).

Another thing worth mentioning is that the main villains don't seem to be heartless and emotionless things, but they all have an attachment to something we all can understand.

I also love their indestructible trust in eachother. They are really cute and chaotic, but also so connected.

The storyline is very emotional, so be warned.

I saw some people comment that they should forgive Zhu Yan for his crimes, because they all know it wasn't his fault. But I think, it is really realistic. Because how troubled would you feel to know that this one person even if he wasn't aware of himself, made you lose your most beloved person in the world?

Even if it isn't his fault directly, it were still his hands making you never see your family again. If we think for our world for a second, wouldn't we also be agonised if our best friend or someone who will become one of our closest friends, caused the death of your mother or father, because they were drunk and drugged and they caused a car accident? We wouldn't be half as forgiving as the protagonists in this story, nor would we?

I think a lot of people sometimes forget that a good person in a drama isn't aware of the feelings and the plot of other people.

Yes, he's punishing himself, yes, it wasn't himself, but he's still the cause. He's the one who attracts malicious energy.

The only downside I have is that even though the Baize goddess is supposed to be something special, but without the token, she can't do anything at all? Really? Just laying on the ground and cry?

But I won't go hard in my judgement on the women's empowerment, because Sister Pei is well done. She's powerful, talented, but also has a very soft heart.

Oughhhh okay first of all, I am SO happy to see Bucktommy back on our screens and I WILL be mass reblogging things about them soon, fair warning! I took a bit after the ep to stop jumping up and down about how good it was, but then I came across the subject of this post and so first, to get it out of my system: a rant! It's not about the episode, probably not of any interest to most people, especially Bucktommy fans trying to protect their peace, so feel absolutely free to ignore this, I'll put it under a cut, I just have to get it out. I've been holding my tongue where bobs are concerned for the most part because I don't want to be mean/have a bunch of negativity on my blog/have any of them find and come after me like they're known to do, but idc rn.

So, there's this author I follow on insta, have followed for years, have read a few of her books and had the rest on my tbr. The ones I've read weren't mind-blowing or anything tbh, but for contemporary romances (not my usual genre) I had fun with them. What I really liked about her was that she is so outspoken about all of her books having bi characters: f/f and m/f. Bi4bi m/f, bi woman x straight man, bi woman x lesbian etc. I love to see bi rep and her efforts to make bi characters visible are great, I respected her for it and I found out last season, she's also a 911 fan! A Buck fan! Cool! She ships B*ddi3 but usually idc ship and let ship, I didn't think she was a Bucktommy hater.

That is, until tonight when I went on insta and saw her post. Bee cupcakes as the first pic, I went oh cute, for 911!! But then I scroll through the post and find this bingo card, the more I looked at it, the more I was like 😬 oh so she's a bob, huh? She only cares about Buck and his bisexuality if he's with E**ie? I didn't want to jump to conclusions, but then there's this in her stories (edits by me to highlight what I'm on about):

And I've blocked a LOT of blogs to try and avoid Tommy/Bucktommy hate so getting blindsided by this when I was in such a good mood enjoying our favorite guy's scene sucked. I literally felt sick about it for a while afterwards and I've decided to unfollow her and unhaul the books I own without reading more. It's not the first time I've stopped supporting an artist I was a fan of, granted this reasoning may seem dumb or petty to other people but I just can't get over it, I mean-

You're a romance author with 5 books published, I didn't think it was a stretch to assume you at least had some decent media literacy and appreciation for a good story/a sweet, queer, rom-com inspired ship. But you hate Tommy just because he's in the way of your ship? You champion bi characters, but will hate on the gay boyfriend of one who is breaking stereotypes and making people feel represented because you think his straight best friend would be a better match? Seriously?

And it's not only these two things, I looked her up on tw*tter, which I'm never usually on, but had logged into today to look at Lou's posts, and I found that she follows multiple people who I know to be particularly nasty Tommy haters/bobs. So. Yeah. I'm out of there, I just can't look at her the same anymore, not to be parasocial or whatever but she always seemed cool, I liked her, I wanted to support her work, I HAVE supported her work personally and as someone who works as a bookseller, I've pointed people to her books and sold them.

But now I just have a bad taste in my mouth. There has been SO much hate towards Tommy, Bucktommy, and worse, the real people who ship them, Lou, and even Oliver over the last few months, because it's constantly being stirred up by this kind of B*ddi3 shipper. I would feel sorry for them for how desperate and bitter they are if not for the fact that I simply cannot stand them anymore. They are miserable and determined to make Bucktommy shippers miserable, too.

I just don't get why people can't stay in their fandom lane and leave others alone?? Like, getting mad that Buck's ESTABLISHED BOYFRIEND and E**ie's FRIEND, WHO HE LIKES, was in one (1) scene, when it narratively made sense for him to be there to remind the ga of him, is pathetic. Tommy came to support E at the virtual birthday party of his estranged teenager, and make a heavy scene lighter and you're acting like he's some kind of monster. I can't even, I'm done!

I hope all the bestie boos will start to leave the fandom soon, when Tommy sticks around, because tbh they only care about one thing that's never going to happen and they don't even seem to have fun on their side of the "ship war". They're too busy being nasty all the time, can't talk about their ship without dragging ours down.

Anyway this rant is becoming more generalized than what I planned to say about that person and has already gotten sooo long, so I'm just going to post it to throw all my anger and frustration out there with it and then bury it with happy Bucktommy posts!! If any Bucktommy fan for some reason actually reads this 1. Oof. Sorry! 2. I 💙 you, Bucktommy fans are the best and I'm so glad to be in this fandom despite everything!!

I am going to say that I'm going to be a bit annoyed if it turned out someone pushed him or something. It'd feel almost like saying 'we can't have a romantic lead who suffers from depression' or something like that. But I shall reserve judgement until we see how it plays out. I mean stuff keeps changing because of the time travel stuff anyway. Just a thought I had was all.

Welcome to another Ginkgo rants show. I am your host, and today I'm talking about:

What the f*ck is thiiiiiis!!!?

Spoilers, duh

Many people have talked about this specific scene- and given that I only came to murder drones when Amazing Digital Circus released, I'm quite late, whoops. But I still wanna take a shot at what the hell that thing is.

Of course, Cabin Fever episode is followed by Home, which answers the question as to who it is... sorta.

It's one of these guys. I can see why people could think that the shadowy figure is Cyn. She has the same bow and hairstyle Tessa has. But I will have to side with that was Tessa. Cyn's hair is slightly longer, reaching further down than Tessa's.

Then next question would be: wtf is she doing there? When Uzi first shines her light at the shadowy figure, you can just barely see how the image glitches/rolls just ever so slightly. And the next frame is soon followed by the classic absolute solver hand.

Why do I believe it's a solver hand for sure? Later on Tessa herself said:

"Too tall, handsome, and air is toxic." I am still very skeptical about this black dot/head/⚫️ Tessa being the real Tessa. But her comment stands. Air is toxic on Copper-9 now. Which does make one question as to how the trees are still around then, but I can't get that sciency without hurting my own brain.

So the hand we see, has to be Absolute Solver seeing as it was the only thing capable of creating biological matter in this toxic environment. Further backed up by the fact that the image that was supposedly projected was Tessa, must be also Absolute Solver's doing.

Another question then arises, why did Absolute Solver show Tessa to Uzi? And where did this Absolute Solver come from?

Goodie! Look at that, Doll is here along with them! Although it does make some sense now, it raises even more questions. We did see Doll is very good at using Absolute Solver to the fullest- seen with her fight against the trio in The Promening. But that doesn't quite answer how she was able to project a whole Tessa? It has been seen that Absolute Solver has a hive mind/cloud based system with the comment it made:

"More like you are our cute puppets. It hurts our feelings when you don't remember us."

Absolute Solver knows that Uzi is a potential host. And it knows that Nori was her mother and also an Absolute Solver host- and easily probably knows Doll is also a potential host. So it does make sense that it can create an image of Tessa, but does not quite explain as to why Doll would be able to do this too. Doll might actually have the ability to create holograms of people she's seen, that could be a great possibility and a tactic she might use in eps 7 and 8.

Perhaps, she might be slowly getting posessed by Absolute Solver? Yes, possible. But then why is she still trying to get to the labs? Doll believes that down in the labs she might find something to help her with the Absolute Solver and perhaps help Uzi too. But wait, how the frick is THIS:

HELPING?! Give me a sec. Let's say, yes Doll was the one that created the mirage of Tessa (because we honestly have no other leads, or ones that I can think/see of right now). That might have been her attempt at luring Uzi in to work together.

Doll has strong vengeance against disassembly drones, so she wants nothing to do with them. But she appears to not mind helping Uzi... but Uzi hangs out with disassembly drones all the time. So best way to lure her in would have been using Tessa- a figure she's never seen, and an absolute solver hand- which she has seen. But she fails to lure Uzi in because V distracts her.

Then why did Doll partner up with Tessa? Tessa had J at her side, a disassembly drone. How about we narrow it down even further. Doll only teamed up with Tessa and J because a certain someone wasn't there. And once she appeared, Doll booked it. Yup, it was V. When Doll saw that all three knew each other, she wanted nothing to do with the gang anymore. Even further, the moment Doll released all the sentinels, she was still trying to get V back for murdering her family. And ouch, uh, Doll why. That moment had me sobbing, excuse you.

So in Doll's eyes, she's helping Uzi. In our eyes, she's antagonizing the group and not letting them get to the labs.

Wow, I veered off course real quick. But my point stands. As much as I'd like to think that the image of Tessa was created by Doll, it's a 50/50 shot. But you know who we still haven't seen? That miiiiight have made the image of Tessa?

Oooop, hello, howdy, hey. I know a stretch, but I've got nothing else honestly. Doll might be pulling a Nori moment, where she was briefly posessed by Absolute Solver enough to cause a hologram of Tessa, or just tapped into the Absolute Solver's hive mind to see what it knows thus far.

As per usual, feel free to gut my theory... or rant? Idk what this turned into.
