Yuki is also somehow close to Malleus, she can tell he is happy to be with her, even a lot of people seems to be scared of him a little, she can feel he seems a little.... lonely, she doesn't know why, but she will be nice to Mr. Horns

She can't really fight with anyone, so she will run if someone wants to fight or hurt her

She isn't really scared of Rook that much anymore after Rook shows his freckles to her, and told her she is still beautiful with it

7) No clubs, as a prefect in NRC, he often will work for Crowley, assist the other staffs, arrange the events and guides the guests when they visit the academy. Sometimes he will spend time with Yuki to visit different clubs, which he can let Yuki try different activities to let her discover her interest, while also check how every clubs are doing

8) Yuno is neutral and friendly most, but sometimes he is cautious towards dorm leaders who overblot since these people had cause harm to the others, which nearly made them criminals if something worse happened. He feels odd how Crowley handed the results. Maybe it's just how this world is.

9) Trein, he is a good father, and sometimes he gives Yuno advises about taking care of kids and cats, it worked a lot. Yuno respects him.

10) Savanaclaw, it seems to have a lot of freedom, and the training is alright to him. Besides, Yuki loves the animal people there too

11) Ace and Deuce, they are still young, but they did bring a lot of fun to Yuno, he enjoys their company, it's something he hadn't felt for a long time before getting here

12) Beanfest, even rook is weird, but they are a good team when it comes with hunting (?)

13) He did want to fight Crowley sometimes

He won't fight with the people in school if there is no reason too, instead of fighting, he prefers suppress when it comes with actually harming Yuki and the others safety

14) A+ the most, even being in the magical world, he somehow managed to learn things quickly

Mel's trauma/experiences in season 2 are easily overlooked/forgotten due to how fast paced the season is, to how she handles herself and due to misogyny.

I wish I could say it's easy to forget how difficult what she went through was, but it really is not. The intro itself makes it very clear.

She survived an explosion, got attacked, was abducted, saw her friend die right before her eyes, thrown into a pit, made to believe a family member she mourned was alive, had to 'kill' the thing wearing the skin of her brother, learned shocking informations about her mother and was lead to two conflicting thoughts about her: 1, she is a child of a love affair, a product of love, her mother loves her too much and it is why she was cast away, 2 she is a weapon, everything down to her conception was calculated, it was never love but a thirst for power.

She breaks free of imprisonment, awakens as a mage due to almost dying and immediately gets a proposition from someone of a higher power/knowledge. She has no more means of defense, and she has to throw her lot with the person who killed her brother and who's chasing after her mother. I am not saying she was never swayed by Leblanc's words nor that she didn't believe her, but it was coercion rather than agreement.

She was gone for MONTHS, just like Jayce. She lived through hell for these few months and came to a terrible conclusion, just like Jayce. She's finally back to Piltover, and she goes to see him first, before anything else. She worries about him, she's happy to see him. She seeks comfort within him, just like he did with her several times through both seasons. He refuses her this comfort, instead attacks her and demands her to answer for a crime that is indirectly hers. She protects him anyway when it was needed.

He apologizes to her and, arguably, breaks up with her then. She goes to see her mother afterward, ready to leave it all behind and betray her new found 'family' as Leblanc said if her mother simply agreed to. If her mother simply chose her this time. But she doesn't. She needs more than Mel. What she needs goes against everything Mel stands for. She walks away.

She then helps to fight her mother, and is the direct cause for her death. Her mother finally sees her in her last moments, she finally has no choice but to look at her daughter, who's no longer a helpless little girl but a strong, powerful and insightful woman. She still forces her into the mold she made for her, a wolf. It's a compliment really. But is it really one for Mel? Her mother dies in her arms. They never could fix their relationship. Her mother committed so many unspeakable deeds, yet she still loves her, yet she still mourns her.

She has to take over her now. She can't openly mourn her, nor show her grief. And she has no one close to her she can be vulnerable with left. She is more alone at the end of season 2 than ever and has to take on more responsibilities than she deems herself worthy of. She said that she's not up to the Medarda's name, and is shown so often to feel insecure because of it. But now she has to be up to it and she doesn't get a choice.

Through reaching the 'Medarda's standards', she lost everything else. And she didn't get a choice.

Fire of Venus // 𖥸 Chapter 1 𖥸

The gods were not kind. They were ruthless and seemed to only favor those who didn't need them.

My father taught me early on not to anger them. "There is no rage like the gods when angered" he would often tell me. And then the war started and he was called to lead it and bring glory to two emperors who had barely been touched by the sun, let alone the fire of rage that seeped out of angry men whose land had just been taken from them.

My father was said to have been sent by Mars himself. Unbroken and undefeated in battle as he kept bringing good fortune to Rome. But I saw him as he would walk into our home, embracing his wife tightly as if he was afraid she could disappear from his grasp just like my mother had many years ago. I saw the way his eyes looked tired and broken and just done. I merely watched.

I felt an ache in my heart anytime I wanted more. I wanted to see life beyond the walls of my home, to see the parties, hear the music and meet the people that surrounded music father when he was gome, but he kept me inside. Hidden. Safe, as his wife claimed.

The daughter of a previous emperor had caught my father's eye and he had caught her heart. It had hurt at first. A constant reminder that my mother was no longer in this realm and couldn't be held anymore. Their union was painful at first but it wasn't my place to say anything and ruin my father's new found happiness. Then the pain became dull with time as she show me her kindness and told me stories of the world in her youth. My favorites were the ones with the gladiator whose name was Maximus. There was something so appealing about the bravery he had shown, even, if I dared say it out loud, his defiance. My mind couldn't help but form thoughts that couldn't be spoken aloud. About how Rome needed shaping by my small understanding of overheard conversations and whispers.

I had known peace until the invitation came along. There had been talks of my fathers arrival and his latest conquest that had been a success, but this time, when he walked into our home to greet us after a long time, he had something new.

"The emperors wish to invite us all to a feast in honor of their newest conquest" he spoke as he looked down to the ground "we are all to go this time, Anna included".

That night I had asked the gods the unthinkable, I had asked for their kindness.

There were hands all over me pulling and tugging and almost fighting one another to make me presentable. This was to be my first time being presented to the people of Rome, not only the people but the emperors and those who attended their parties.

I heard only whispers about these places and events. Many from the people who worked for us. They giggled in hiding as they shared tales of their improper affairs with the opposite gender. The first time I had heard about their endeavors I felt like I had stumbled on something I shouldn't know about, but the more I heard the more curious I became and now I stood in my dressing chambers being prepped to be thrown into the unknown.

I had been bathed in the finest oils we owned and my body had already been dropped in my favorite silk that had the perfect sunset hues of purple and blue. It was adorned with golden accents around my waist to tighten the fabric and keep it there and my neck and fingers were filled with golden jewelry that had been gifted to me the many times my father had went abroad.

My hair was almost fone when I found myself lost in through, so lost that I didn't feel the gentle hand on my shoulder that belong to Lucilla.

She had a faint slime on her face and she looked me up and down, drinking me in as if she had never placed her eyes upon my figure until now.

"You are a sight to be seen" she adjusted the fabric on my shoulder, smoothing it out before taking the ring from her finger and holding it out to me "I want you to wear this tonight. May it bring you good fortune".

It was the ring that belonged to her father. I had admired it many times as it shone on her finger. I knew my fathers name had also been engraved inside. My hand reached out to her slowly as I gently grasped the ring in my own hand before slowly placing it on my own finger.

"I feel uneasy about tonight" I let the words slip out of my mouth as I looked up at her.

For a moment there was silence, the only thing that happened was the way her eyes adverted to the people who were still standing in the room. She looked at them, a stoic look on her face and brought up her hand to point them outside. They nodded shortly and left us alone.

There were conversations that needed to be held alone, with no prying ears to share gossip and make up stories of what was the actual truth. We were taught from an early age that opinions were to be kept to ourselves, especially when we were born a woman. We were taught to believe that we were better to be seen and not heard.

"It will be fine" she adjusted the my hair "your father shall accompany us and I shall never leave your side"

I nodded my head but there was still fear etched on my face. After all this time of longing for this moment here I was dreading it as it was finally approaching me.

Adam smiled softly: I... fu- fudge... I shouldn't be talking about with you, darling. You don't need to deal with my mistakes...

Adam felt tears well up. And he almost cried when his daughter leaned her head on his shoulder. She was still tried, but was happy to be near him again.

He rested a hand on her back and continued to rock. Looking around the room, it's never felt so foreign to him.

Adam: I just feel so... wrong. I shouldn't, though, should I? I've... been in that situation before and have never felt this way... so why now?

Avery said nothing. The only way Adam knew she was still away was because of her little hand patting his neck.

Lucifer: It's because I'm not a sinner. Or an angel.

Adam jumped and looked at Lucifer, who was standing in the doorway.

Avery: P-Papa...

Lucifer: Hey, sweetheart.

Adam watched as Lucifer came over and ran his fingers over her land, making her smile. He looked at Adam.

Lucifer: It's because we have history. I was your best friend. And I know very well what I was doing. You were partly right. I did it for a laugh... in the beginning. Lilith and I... we would speak about you sometimes, how funny it would be to get you j to our bed... how much you would fight it. I... I knew it was wrong. It was a sick thing to think about. And I won't make any excuses.

Adam was tense. He didn't want Avery here for this, but he was afraid to put her down, to feel open and vulnerable. He needed to make sure she was safe.

Lucifer: That night I saw you... those memories came back. The hurt of ten thousand years came back. And the horror and anger I feel when I see you lead the exterminations came back. I... wanted to punish you, I guess. But now that I know about the apple- or the lack of, I know now it wasn't your fault. Or your choice- I shouldn't have done it. You feel the way you do because deep down, you expected better of me.

Lucifer softly held Adam's free hand, and looked over his fingers.

Lucifer: I'm so, so sorry, Adam. I truly am. I know there's nothing I can do to even make you think of forgiving me. There's nothing I can do that'll even make up for what I did. And- you're welcome to leave early, I understand if you don't want to stay any longer. Or... or even see again. My pride doesn't allow me to have many regrets. But hurting you like that is definitely one of them.

They stood in silence for a moment. Lucifer soon looked back at Adam's hand. He couldn't bare to see the hurt in his golden eyes. Eyes that matched his daughters.

He just hopped he'd say something. Anything.

What about an au where Adam goes to Hell for night trips, wher ehe just parties and fucks. He has a disguise (it's just a slightly different looking helmet).

Lucifer joins his daughter and her friends at a bar, where he sees "Adam". He instantly knows it's him, but he's curious as to what he's doing.

So Lucifer spends hours flitting with him and buying him drinks to get him drunk. But Lucifer actually finds himself having a great time.

Long story short- they fuck, Adam doesn't let Lucifer know he's Adam. He goes back to Heaven and after a few months, he finds out he's pregnant.

Which is fucking weird cause he's definitely a dude, and he's very dead. But Lucifer's the Devil 🤷.

He basically has to play it off as him getting fat. It's working until the next meeting with Lucifer happens during his ninth month, and he's goes into labor right in front of Lucifer.

Lucifer: Why didn't you tell me your were fucking pregnant!?

Adam: Because you didn't know it was me!!

Lucifer: Yes I did! You have the same face!

“He is being spineless.” he sighs at dinner. 

Your other siblings only shake their heads at him. There are 10 of you in total. And your brother who takes the head of the table in your fathers absence has always been the most mouthy. 

“If you want to fight, you do so on your own terms. We seek not to take arms against a self proclaimed king.” Your eldest sister replies to him, firm. Ever since your mother passed all those years ago she has taken her spot the best she can. 

If your brother fights he does so alone. None of you want bloodshed. The king seems to be of favorable word and bargains. You don't know what to make of it yet. 

You meet Jude the very next morning. Standing in council and addressing the whole family. He speaks firm and clear. The clinking of his chainmail armor distracts you. 

He goes through the terms and after a bit of negotiation your father signs a paper and that's that. 

He comes to learn your name when you are put in charge of getting him sorted for the night. Appointing him servants to tend to him and telling him to let you know if you need anything else. 

You'd make the perfect princes he thinks.

Jude stays for one more night. Recovering from a few injuries he sustained on the way and enjoying a hot meal and clean water while he can. 

Your family is kind, he wont forget this. 

He sees you in the gardens and decides to make conversation. Proper one. One that ends with his lips pressed onto yours while you smile.

“You're not half bad for a prince.” Your hands rest on his shoulders.

He shrugs, “not half bad for a lady.” 

You smile. “When you finish your campaign you must return. I'll be waiting. “

Wardens

Varta Aeducan: After the events of Origins she returned to Orzammar where her status was officially restored, but was not named a Paragon. She worked with the then Warden-Commander Mahariel to rotate Grey Wardens in and out of Orzammar, giving them valuable experience fighting darkspawn and providing support to both Orzammar and the Legion of the Dead. In a weird twist of fate, she ended up with Rica Brosca, raising her nephew Endrin II. Together they have another son, Dailan, and three daughters, Rishan, Kalatha, and Jacha. Young Endrin is already a favorite to succeed Lord Harrowmont. For the most part things were relatively quiet and stable in her life until the events of Veilguard begin.

Ellendre Amell: Ellendre followed Mahariel to Amaranthine after Origins, where she met Mhairi (who doesn't die because fuck you, bioware, I loved her). While Mahariel dealt with the events of Awakening, Ellendre and Mhairi traveled Ferelden and into Orlais recruiting Warden hopefuls. When Mahariel chose leave with Velanna to search for the Architect and Seranni, Ellendre Amell became the new Warden-Commander of Ferelden. She has remained as Warden-Commander of Ferelden ever since. As they are both Wardens, she and Mhairi have no children. While Ellendre felt the false Calling during the Inquisition, she and Mhairi refused to abandon Ferelden even as many of their Wardens fled to Clarel in Orlais. As of the start of Veilguard, she is still Warden-Commander of Ferelden.

Herra Brosca: Herra became Teryna of Gwaren after the Fifth Blight. She and Leliana were happy in Gwaren for a while, before Leliana was called to serve Divine Justinia. For several years their lives drifted between Val Royeaux and Gwaren. When the Mage Rebellion broke out, Herra left Gwaren in the hands of a steward and went in search of a cure for the Calling. When she heard news of the Inquisition, and the death of the Divine, she did make her way to Skyhold. And while she never found a cure for the Calling, she was nonetheless cured of the Blight in 9:41. Leliana ascended to the position of Divine in 9:42 and Herra remained at her side. Their daughter, Cecilie, was born in 9:46. With the events of Veilguard, however, obviously all of that is in danger. The Divine no longer commands an army of Templars, and being forced to abandon Val Royeaux has taken a harsh toll on both of them. Gwaren was also lost to the combined efforts of the Blight and the Antaam.

Jaine Cousland: Jaine married Queen Anora mac Tir in 9:31 Dragon, becoming Princess of Ferelden. With the survival of Fergus, she was able to devote her time to helping Ferelden rebuild. She and Anora have three children - Duncan (9:33), Celia (9:34), and Eleanor (9:43). Jaine resumed her role as a military leader during the Inquisition. In 9:41 Jaine was cured of the Blight after hearing the False Calling.

Serona Mahariel: Serona became Warden-Commander of Ferelden after the Fifth Blight, and saw Ferelden through the events of Awakening. It was here that she was reconnected with her childhood crush, Velanna. After letting the Architect live in the hopes that it would make it possible to save Seranni, Mahariel and Velanna left into the Deep Roads to hunt him down. I haven't decided what all happens to them during that time, but they resurface in Isseya's camp of Wardens during Veilguard (no, they don't die. Maybe. We'll see.)

Isene Tabris: Isene Tabris became Bann of the Alienage after the Fifth Blight, a role in which she lingered in for only a few short years. She ultimately abandoned the position, turning it over to her cousin, Shianni, to pursue Morrigan into the Dragonbone Wastes. Isene went through the mirror with Morrigan, where she helped Morrigan raise their son, Kieran. Isene also resurfaced in Inquisition, but did not reveal who she was. She masqueraded as a servant in Orlais (which she hated doing) and slummed around Skyhold pretending to be a random soldier. Until Herra recognized her. Like Brosca and Cousland, she was cured of the Blight in 9:41 Dragon, and disappeared back into wherever with Morrigan after the defeat of Corypheus. She is not at all participating in the events of Veilguard, by choice, and is spending her time with Kieran.

I only have the one Hawke thankfully lol

Agnella Hawke: Agnella and Merrill have remained in and around Kirkwall over the years. Merrill wanted to help the elves there, and Bethany wanted to help the Circle mages, so even though Agnella wanted very much to leave, she stayed. After Inquisition she never reported to Weisshaupt, despite saying she would do so. Instead she disappeared, resurfacing in Kirkwall again a few years later. In actuality, she was just hanging out an estate outside Kirkwall trying to get some damn peace (yes, Merrill and the others knew where she was and visited regularly). She and Merrill did not have children of their own, but they have taken in several orphaned children and are raising them. With the escape of the elven gods, Hawke is back to just trying to keep her family together as best she can. Bethany was in Rivain visiting Isabela when Kirkwall fell, and Hawke insisted she stay there. She and Merrill have evacuated Kirkwall with Aveline and the rest of the refugees. Hawke's very bad no good life continues.

My Inquisitors (Only Lavellan is actually Inquisitor in this)

Imekari Adaar: Imekari and Sera have spent the last 10 years bouncing around Thedas as Red Jennies, righting wrongs, causing mayhem, and gathering information on Solas and his operatives as best they can. They have no children and have no plans to have children. With the events of Veilguard, they are just doing what they can to survive and help others, operating mostly in Rivain and what's left of the Free Marches. She joins in the final battle against Ghilan'nain and Elgarn'nan.

Jesi Cadash: Jesi and Dagna have stayed connected with what remains of the disbanded Inquisition over the years. Dagna's insight on magic was helpful as new magic continued emerging around Thedas. Most of the last 10 years they spent in Nevarra, where Dagna studied the different magics there using connections Cassandra Pentaghast helped her to make (with some complaint). They have children, but I haven't decided how many or how old. Their family was one of the first to relocate back to Skyhold following the events of Veilguard, as Dagna was able to immediately make use of its forge to help the resistance.

Lindiranae Lavellan: After disbanding the Inquisition, LIndiranae and Josephine went to Antiva and stayed with her family for some time. They spent the next several years gathering information on Solas, and traveling between Wycome - where Lavellan's clan now had a permanent home - and Antiva City. They married in 9:46, in two separate ceremonies - one Andrastian, and one Dalish. They do not have children yet, but have discussed children several times. It has been a source of tension that Lindiranae would prefer to have either elven or human children, but not half-elven children. Lindiranae was drawn back to Orlais and Ferelden with the events of Veilguard, while Josephine remained in the comparatively somewhat safer Antiva City. Lindiranae is the one who appears to Rook and the Veilguard.

Sabine Trevelyan: After the Inquisition, Sabine chose to remain in Orlais to assist Cassandra in rebuilding the Seekers. They married in 9:43 and have one child. It has been a political tense, but mostly quiet ten years for them. At times they have come under fire as staunch allies of Divine Victoria (even if they at times do not agree with her reforms). There have been frequent trips to Ostwick to visit Sabine's family, as well as Nevarra to visit her sister and some limited members of Cassandra's own family. With the events of Veilguard they have both been pulled back into the chaos. Cassandra has done her best to lead the Seekers against the invading forces of Venatori and Blight against Orlais, and Sabine has served and fought at her side.

Pushing the horrible prank aside, the finale was worth the wait and the hour and half runtime. I enjoyed every single episode, and the colors were coloring until the very end (damn you, Idol Factory!), so I do hope it gets the credit it deserves for being the most each episode and doing most of it amazingly well.

Everyone got the ended they needed including our color-coded girls in love.

And I love that.

Imagining a shamelessly self-indulgent fanfic where Vi gets transported to the Everything's Happy Universe, somehow finds out she died there and that her family survived, assumes she's the cause of everything bad ever, and goes rogue.

Like she doesn't think she can go back home because she's scared that her presence will fuck things over for everyone. And she also can't risk interacting with the alternate versions of her family that she has here (despite how much she wants to), because what if that screws up their timeline and everything goes to shit for them too? She has nothing and no one, and she's not going to kill herself, so she ends up just -- doing what she was doing in her home dimension. Gets a crap apartment, joins an illegal fighting ring, and wallows in her misery.

It's like that for a few weeks, months maybe, before Vander finds her passed out in an alleyway. A black-haired girl that resembles his dead daughter so strongly it feels like his heart gets ripped open all over again, and she's hurt and she's not waking up, and he needs to help her. So he takes her inside, dresses her wounds, and cleans her face (the black paint covering her VI tattoo holds strong). Maybe he tells Silco, gets him to help. Maybe Vi wakes up to the monster that hurt her family, like, checking her temperature or something.

So she punches him in the face, obviously, and Vander comes barging in at the commotion, and Vi freaks the fuck out. She's trapped; tiny room, no windows; Vander -- Vander, her dead father -- is blocking the door; Silco is three fucking feet away from her in the same goddamn room and was just doing who-knows-what to her unconscious body; and Vi? Vi is mid-panic attack, searching for escape, not listening to a fucking word coming out of Vander's mouth. She needs to get out. She needs to get the fuck away before she fucks everything up for everyone and she needs these people to stop looking at her.

Vander and Silco, of course, both see that she's terrified. Silco backs up, gives her space, and Vander holds his hands up, palms out, trying to signal that he's not a threat. He tries to explain what's going on, that no one here is going to hurt her, but that's not what she's worried about, and as soon she spots an opening -- as soon as Vander takes that small step towards her, leaving space between him and the door behind him -- Vi books it. Shoves right past him, up the stairs, and out of The Last Drop, ignoring the startled shouts behind her. (Maybe Powder sees her go. Maybe she, too, is torn up inside by the striking resemblance to her older sister.)

She gets back to her place. She gets back to the shitty little life she's built in this world. And she prays that's the end of it.

It's not.

Vander has imprinted on this girl. She's a stray, like Mylo and Claggor were strays before he took them in. And she's hurting, like (his) Vi and Powder were hurting before he dropped his gauntlets and carried them away from the battlefield. He wants to help her, if he can. Not only that, but she was beat to absolute hell, and he needs to know who did it and why, just in case it's the symptom of a larger problem that needs to be addressed.

So Vander asks around. Silco helps. And Vi may be trying to keep a low profile, but she's still Vi. She wins nearly every fight she's thrown into in the pits, and when she sees someone in real trouble, she steps in. She's hardly invisible, and she ends up kind of making a name for herself, unintentionally. It's not incredibly difficult to find her -- not for them, and not for this universe's Powder, Ekko, Mylo, and Claggor, who find out one-by-one about this random runaway emo chick that broke Silco's nose and kicks ass in a very illegal underground fighting ring.

But here's the thing: the fighting ring Vi's a part of is kind of... inhumane. But Vi doesn't fully realize it because she spent a large portion of her formative years in Stillwater, which was significantly worse. She's fine with being mistreated -- low-key feels like she deserves it, even. The issue comes in when she breaks out of her depressive haze enough to notice the younger, decidedly less deserving recruits getting the same treatment she is. I don't know any of the specifics of the situation, but I do know that I want Vi stepping up and putting herself in the line of fire to protect the people around her. She's a protector at heart, and she's found a tiny piece of herself again.

And what ends up happening is Vi gets progressively more frustrated as her undead dad, his not-husband, and a terrifyingly well-adjusted version of her estranged sister keep trying to track her down and succeeding. And then Ekko joins in on the efforts, and then Claggor, and Mylo, and even Benzo, until she's desperately trying to dodge her entire, irritatingly persistent not-family while also keeping the people she's unwittingly grown to care about safe from the Unspecified Bad Guys controlling the Unspecified Bad Situation in the fighting pits.

I don't have any concrete plot for this or dialogue or anything. It's just vibes. The kiddos thinking Vi is cool as fuck and the dads trying to adopt this feral not-really-a-kid-anymore-but-when-you're-that-old-everyone-looks-like-a-baby child and Vi being unwillingly absorbed into this new found family that hurts to look at because this is what her own family could have been if she hadn't fucked it all up.

tl;dr Vi is a skittish, battered stray cat, and AU!Vander and co. are trying to lure her to safety with treats and affection.

- is created by lex luthor and lied to about her own identity and only finds out she is not in fact a normal human being named lana lang who he gave powers, and actually is made of purple goop… after he’s dead and she can’t ask him any questions about her biology. she never really reconnects with her humanity after finding this out.

- has her entire universe destroyed including the deaths of everyone she has ever known apart from clark, who she just met. clark then leaves her with his parents and proceeds to leave. bye i guess!

- finds out that her entire reason for existence (being the only way they had to stop the genocide in her world) was in fact, a massive lie, and her universe’s lex luthor had the gold and green kryptonite to stop it the whole time and decided to just make her instead.

- goes into shock and becomes delusional after these events and clark’s interactions with the newly introduced eradicator device

- fights clark in this delusional state and loses and then proceeds to feel remorse and flies off into space. and then isn’t seen again in any comics for another three years

- when we see her again she’s still looking like clark on the outside and draaga, a giant alien who has vowed to either kill superman or die trying, mistakes her for him. after she shapeshifts back and they find a common enemy in brainiac, they become close friends. this all ends when draaga sacrifices himself to save the world at the end of the arc and mae loses her first real friend.

- she then immediately falls into the hands of main universe lex luthor, who proceeds to emotionally abuse her on top of attempting to clone her for his own personal army of supergirls to have at his own beck and call. he dehumanises her constantly, surveils her and has her followed constantly, and controls when and where she’s able to do her hero work. he also owns the trademark to her likeness and sells dolls of her without her knowledge or consent.

- he even manages to prevent her from helping superman against doomsday for a majority of the arc, before allowing her. after she gets absolutely decimated, he asks her to do a shapeshift that he knows will be painful for her, and when she says as much, he only says that he’s not asking her to move mountains- he only wants his supergirl back.

- he uses her to recruit kon for him. a lot of the way she talks about him to kon is really really naive and almost religious in nature. she asks kon to join their family. kon signs with gbs and they don’t really hang out much until trials of superman much later on, after she’s left lex. at home, pa says that maybe he just doesn’t know how to raise a daughter.

- clark comes back. she and lois and clark have a very sweet day where she helps deal with some secret identity issues. she says she hopes they’ll all live happily ever after, and that he and lois are always as happy as her and lex are.

- in earlier issues of supergirl (1994) she’s having tests done on her constantly. after examining her and speaking to her for a bit, lex’s mother figure / doctor / ex-wife, dr. gretchen kelley, chastises lex for taking advantage of such a young and naive girl. lex simply tells her she’s not human, and that he’s still reeling from seeing her true form after doomsday.

- in later issues of supergirl (1994) she finally finds out he has been cloning her and using her. she has to fight and destroy grotesque clones of herself that she knows were created by the man she loves, ending in her covered in protoplasm similar to her own, holding a clone of lex himself as it dissolves in her arms.

- next, lex sends some of his personal army to bomb her, and then gaslights her about it when she confronts him! she finds out he’s been slowly dying this whole time and is in fact lex luthor (he’s actually been lying about his own identity this entire time, fun fact!) and that he told her none of this. she’s more upset by the lack of trust than by any of his other actions.

- clark proceeds to stop her from beating him into the ground. possibly worst thing he’s ever done /silly. mae ends up going off with one of lex’s ex wives helping her get on her feet.

- this is going great until raven shows up to kidnap and mind control her. she ends up with the new titans and among friends for like 6 issues before she’s back with liz, except now she’s actively having an existential crisis.

- the next time we see her she’s saving the life of a dying catholic girl. in this action she basically sacrifices her own chance at independence- she ends up sort of sharing the girl (linda)’s life, getting stuck with her demon boyfriend and catholic parents and her hometown in virginia. after a while of this, she merges with someone else and flies off in to space, never to be seen again.

- her next major appearance is convergence: matrix, which paints lex as just straight up mean instead of manipulative, and makes her look like a pushover- meaning that her first real speaking appearance after 10 years mischaracterises her and misrepresents her story

- she then only has a cameo in the death/return/reign of the supermen anniversary special, despite playing a somewhat major role in the original arc.

- the zero hour anniversary special has a supergirl in a black suit who donna refers to as ‘kara’, despite the supergirl who was actually a part of zero hour being mae, not kara.

- as far as i am aware (and i have looked) when it comes to official merchandise, mae only has trading cards, a single expensive collectors doll, a nutella glass, some promotional posters for her comic appearances, and a single small statue. she has very few fanfics on ao3 or elsewhere, and has largely been forgotten by the dc fans & the dc canonical narrative.

tim drake, on the other hand, is a white american guy who was born into wealth and a relatively decent biological family before getting himself willingly involved in the hero life. he loses a lot, and goes through a lot, but he had things to lose to begin with.

So much happened in so few chapters, how do I even break this down?!?

First off, Colin had better stop fucking bonding with my daughter! And apologizing and making amends for past wrongs! I'm a huge fan of redemption arcs and second chances and that is being used against me! JUST LET ME HATE THIS MAN!!!!!!

My bug daughter is in prison but that's almost like, a minor side thing? It barely matters right now except that it gives some background structure. Compared to everything else the prison bit is just . . . a thing.

I'm in tears over bug horse. I'm bawling. I may never recover. RIP Atlas, you were the best of us.

Sure not in everyone, but not everyone is scared of bugs either! I just think it's very unfair.

The Adepts are fun. Sure powers aren't "magic" but might as well have fun with the idea! Besides it seems to be working and if I had powers I'd absolutely love to lean into a magical focus idea.

I am quite upset about the fact that during the whole Thirteenth Hour thing Weaver didn't get to shove bugs down Clockblocker's throat to save him. It would have been so poetic. Saving the day by shoving bugs down throats was still super amazing, I just wanted it to be Clockblocker.

It was the most extreme level of active awareness and minor "control" while being disabled that we've seen from Taylor so far though! Really curious to get more into that, the nature of passengers/shards, and all those things. I have so many thoughts, but they're all just speculation right now (I don't think writing 75 pages of theories that all end up being wrong is really gonna be very helpful).

Finally got to see more Bambina after the little bit in arc 8. Her power is wild, I love it! Also Bambina's mom just shot right into the top contenders for "worst parent in Worm". Like, WTF lady.

August Prince is wild. Sucks when the most effective use of your power is "human shield" though.

Considering she had an interaction with The Number Man and Contessa, Taylor actually came out of it pretty good! Sure they lost the target they were trying to bring in, but I don't know that they really had a chance of keeping Pretender. Contessa isn't easy to stop.

The only problem I have with the Las Vegas Wards actions is hiring Bambina to break Pretender free. Otherwise ya, fucking ditch the Protectorate. Given the information they have it makes sense.

Seriously, 23.4 is the most beautiful chapter in Worm so far and it'll be very hard for it to be outdone.

I could talk about just that chapter for pages. It was perfect in every way. Even if I knew it had to end with Behemoth pretty early on. There was too much hope in that chapter for it to end any other way.

But in the middle of all that downward "oh fuck it's Behemoth" stuff we got an Undersiders reunion! With so much gay!
