There are also 3 babies among Mahmoud's 17 family members. The youngest of them, baby Meryem, was only born a few months ago . Mahmoud's sister gave birth to the baby with the sound of bombing around her, with no medical personnel or medical resources available. Hence, she almost died giving birth to the baby! While she luckily survived, she is still suffering from many infections due to the difficult birth. But they don't have money to buy medicine!

They also have no shelter now because their tent was completely destroyed in a bombing! Nothing to shield them from the winter cold and the rain!

Do you care about disabled people’s lives? I hope you do. Disabled people are all worthy of love and respect, and disability rights and justice are vital to building a better, more just world.

I truly hope that you care about disabled people. Maybe you are even disabled yourself. Here you have an opportunity to save the life of a disabled person. I dearly hope that you will help save him.

Nour Ashour @noor-yashour has two children. One of them, Muhammed, is just four years old, and since his birth has living with a condition that causes muscle relaxation and inability to move.

To treat his condition, Muhammed requires medical treatment, and regular physical therapy sessions. However, due to the ongoing war he and his family are suffering through, he has not been able to recieve proper treatment for over a year. Without treatment, Muhammed will DIE. He will die solely for the sake of being a disabled boy in Gaza. This is deeply unjust.

On top of Muhammed's pressing medical needs, the Ashour family needs help getting other necessities to survive as well. The need to be able to purchase food, water, and safe shelter for the coming winter.

Despite how urgent her family's needs are, and how diligently Nour has been working to raise funds for her family for months, she has only reached a small fraction of her goal! Donations have been extremely slow. Muhammed can't afford this. Without treatment, he will die.

'gender'.... much like 'animals' this is a concept from our world that has made itself present in the pokemon franchise. all pokemon began having genders (except for the ones that don't) in the second generation of games, in order to facilitate the pokemon breeding mechanic which has become a staple of the main series

Not my great grandmother. She had 7 children. 5 survived to adulthood. 2 died in the first few days after birth. I think the era of her life where she was a mother to babies was so sad and traumatic her brain went to a happier time. She thought she was a little girl.

She kept asking where her older half brother was. She asked us to make him a plate at every meal just in case he came back. He’d been dead since at least the 60s. She was the youngest of 11 and the last surviving sibling but he was the only one she kept asking about. It was so eerie at the time because she kept insisting he was just upstairs and having us leave food for him at the bottom of the stairs and my great aunt described feeling afraid she’d come back to see it had been eaten.

But I think it was a sweet thing, that she spent her last few weeks at a mental age where she had no responsibilities but chose to worry about her favorite brother because that’s the kind of caring person she was. I hope he did come down from upstairs and scoop her up when her time came.
