I'm glad that other people noticed that Aegon is repulsed from physical interactions. And this the reason why i will never shut up about how much i hate the SA plotline that they have given to his character. I mean it's really clashes with his established characterization, and it's does make his character inconsistent.
but if I'm going to be honest i will not be mad if they actually have given him a mentality that would align with such behaviour. It will not make his character inconsistent. Book tyrion is one of my faves but let's all be honest here , book!tyrion is extremely misgonystic and an incel literally. So it didn't surprise me when he start raping sex workers in essos , thinking of raping his sister before killing her ... If the showrunners have given Aegon a similar personality/mentality to tyrion then it would make the SA plotline align with his character and nobody would be really shocked.
Very grateful that people actually agree with me that Aegon's got issues with touch and physical intimacy (if homeboy is getting blackout drunk before he can try having sex, then that's a problem that's literally self medicating) and that it wasn't just me going completely ham and talking out of my ass.
That kind of mentality that we see with Tyrion is the kind that, I think, works well in book form, but not in show form. Tyrion's misogyny, as I mentioned in an answer about my thoughts on House Lannister, can genuinely be hard for me to read, and part of the reason why some of the stuff he does and says was toned down as much as it was for the show, in spite of the problems it caused for the character, is that it would likely be harder to watch (I still don't think they should have done it, but the excuse for it isn't something completely unreasonable, just not good). And when you don't have the benefit that comes from books, narration and the character's internal voice and the time to expand on why someone feels that way, and all you can go on is what's done and said in front of you, it'd be a lot less excusable for an audience. Especially when that's how you're introducing a character, without the benefit of seeing the other facets of who they're like first.
It's also important to remember that a lot of Tyrion's issues that have made his misogyny become so outwardly expressive are borne of the fact that he is societally disadvantaged due to being a dwarf and the ableism that's followed him all his life. And while Aegon has his problems, he feels unloved and alone and is a deeply wounded person, emotionally, who needs to use substances to cope with living his life, he's got a lot of advantages and privileges in Westeros, the able bodied eldest son of the literal king. So having a Tyrion-esque mentality might not have been able to be sold quite as well.
I think what they should have done was find a middle ground, have Aegon be a drunkard who doesn't take things seriously and is irreverent and a bit of a jerk to people, but also acknowledge that a lot of that comes from the fact that he's in very real pain (and also touch repulsed), and he does still love his fam and rarely intentionally seeks to cause any serious harm, like how he was a bit of a shit to Aemond as kids, but he clearly didn't mean for it to escalate to the point where Aemond got injured, and when push came to shove immediately backed Aemond up on the Strong bastards thing. And if you wanna show how Alicent relates to a rape victim, just have Dyana's assailant be a Hightower guard, or a minor noble at court that we see Alicent berate, someone who would be in the position to do something like that but could still be yelled at by Alicent, and we'd still get that moment between women to see what she's like as both a woman and a queen.

The greens, originally known as the queen’s party, were the faction of House Targaryen and their loyalists who supported the ascent of Aegon II as King of the Seven Kingdoms during the Dance of the Dragons and the years that preceded it. They were opposed by the blacks.
Tumblr media
Symbol: Queen Alicent’s green gown
Type: Political faction
Seat: Red Keep
Region: Westeros
Allegiance: Aegon II Targaryen
Founder: Alicent Hightower
Prominent Greens

King Aegon II Targaryen, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm
After his meeting with the small council, the fatigued Aegon climbed into his litter and asked to be carried to the royal sept. The king had his customary flagon of sweet Arbor red along the way to ease his pain. When his escort arrived and Ser Gyles Belgrave of the Kingsguard lifted the litter's curtains, Aegon II was found dead with blood on his lips. — Fire & Blood, The Dying of the Dragons - The Short, Sad Reign of Aegon II
Queen Helaena Targaryen
On the twenty-second day of the fifth moon of 130 AC, at sunset, Helaena jumped from the window of her room in Maegor’s Holdfast. She died on the spikes below, with her throat impaled, only twenty-one years old. — Fire & Blood, The Dying of the Dragons - Rhaenyra Overthrown
Prince Aemond Targaryen, Prince Regent and Protector of the Realm
On the twenty-second day of the fifth month of 130 AC, Aemond and Daemon, mounted on their dragons, engaged in the Battle Above the Gods Eye. The duel ended with the two dragons crashing to the floor while Prince Daemon stabbed Aemond in his eye with the Valyrian steel sword Dark Sister. Aemond’s body, chained to Vhagar’s saddle, sank into the lake. — Fire & Blood, The Dying of the Dragons - Rhaenyra Triumphant
Prince Daeron Targaryen
Two days later, the Second Battle of Tumbleton began. Prince Daeron died during the battle, though it is not known exactly how he died. The story most often told claims Daeron was cut down by Black Trombo with a morningstar whilst stumbling out of his tent with his clothes on fire, after the attacks of the dragon Seasmoke had begun. Another claims the same, except that the prince was slain by a man-at-arms with a sword, who was unaware of the identity of his victim. The third account, agreed upon by Munkun and Gyldayn, states that Daeron’s burning tent collapsed on top of him. — Fire & Blood, The Dying of the Dragons - Rhaenyra Overthrown
Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen, firstborn son of Aegon II
As was her custom, Queen Helaena Targaryen took her three children to visit their grandmother at dusk, before they went to bed. Once Helaena entered the chambers with Jaehaerys, Jaehaera, and Maelor, Blood barred the door and slew Helaena’s guardsman while Cheese snatched Maelor. Cheese told Helaena that they were two “debt collectors,” and asked which one of her sons she wanted to lose. The queen offered herself but the two killers refused, telling her that it had to be a son, a boy. The weeping Helaena eventually named her youngest child, two-year-old Maelor. The grinning Blood slew Prince Jaehaerys instead, striking off the boy’s head with a single blow from his sword. The two men did no further harm to Helaena, Jaehaera, or Maelor, fleeing with Jaehaerys’s head in hand. — Fire & Blood, The Dying of the Dragons - A Son for a Son
Princess Jaehaera Targaryen, daughter of Aegon II
Two years after her marriage, Jaehaera died when she reportedly threw herself from Maegor’s Holdfast and was impaled on the spikes of the dry moat below. She lived for a half hour in agony before her death. With her ended the line of the marriage of King Viserys I Targaryen and his second wife, Queen Alicent Hightower. Jaehaera’s death was officially deemed a suicide, akin to that of her mother, Queen Helaena Targaryen. — The World of Ice & Fire, The Targaryen Kings: Aegon III
Prince Maelor Targaryen, secondborn son of Aegon II
During the fall of King’s Landing, the master of whisperers Lord Larys Clubfoot smuggled Maelor and his sister Princess Jaehaera to safety, charging Ser Rickard Thorne of the Kingsguard to bring Maelor to Oldtown. At Bitterbridge, Rickard was brought down by a mob, while the manner of Maelor’s death is disputed: Mushroom claims that Willow Pound-Stone accidentally crushed Maelor to death, Eustace says he was chopped into six pieces by a butcher, and Munkun writes that Maelor was torn apart by the mob. — Fire & Blood, The Dying of the Dragons - Rhaenyra Triumphant
Green Council
Queen Dowager Alicent Hightower
Rhaenyra Targaryen’s son took the throne as Aegon III Targaryen in 131 AC. During the Hour of the Wolf, Lord Cregan Stark sentenced to death the men who had arrested Alicent. The Dowager Queen opposed the marriage of Jaehaera to the new king and was absent from the ceremony. She once terrified her granddaughter by suggesting she slit Aegon’s throat. Since Alicent refused to be reconciled, Ser Tyland Lannister, the Hand of the King, ordered her confined to Maegor’s Holdfast. Alicent remained in her chambers for the last year of her life. Her only company was her septa, serving girls, and guards. Alicent often wept, began talking to herself, and came to dislike the color green. She died in 133 AC, during the outbreak of the Winter Fever. — Fire & Blood, Under the Regents - The Hooded Hand
Ser Otto Hightower
Otto was the first to be beheaded as a traitor by Rhaenyra after the fall of King’s Landing in 130 AC. — Fire & Blood, The Dying of the Dragons - Rhaenyra Triumphant
Ser Criston Cole, Lord Commander of the Kingsguard and Hand of the King
While marching from the Gods Eye to the Blackwater Rush, Criston’s surviving host was met at a ridge by an army of thousands of blacks led by Ser Garibald Grey, Ser Pate of Longleaf, and Roderick Dustin, Lord of Barrowton. Criston offered to yield if the blacks would spare the lives of his men, but he was refused. When Criston then challenged all three of his counterparts, Pate had Robb Rivers and his archers strike down the Kingmaker with three arrows. Hundreds of Criston’s men were then killed by the rivermen and Winter Wolves in the ensuing Butcher’s Ball in 130 AC. Garibald and Pate brought Criston’s head on a spear to the First Battle of Tumbleton. — Fire & Blood, The Dying of the Dragons - Rhaenyra Triumphant
Ser Tyland Lannister, master of ships, then master of coin
Tyland returned to King’s Landing from Myr shortly after King Aegon II Targaryen’s death. He was made Hand of the King for King Aegon III Targaryen at the start of his regency. In early 133 AC, when it was discovered that Winter Fever had broken out across the city and the realm, Tyland ordered the gates of the city and the Red Keep closed, to prevent the disease from spreading. But as the Winter Fever was nearing its end, Tyland himself fell ill. He died after only two days, in the presence of Septon Eustace and King Aegon III, who took his hand as Tyland took his last breath. — Fire & Blood, Under the Regents - The Hooded Hand
Lord Jasper Wylde, master of laws
Jasper was taken captive by Rhaenyra during the fall of King’s Landing in 130 AC. Rhaenyra had several nobles executed for treason, with Jasper being beheaded after Ser Otto Hightower. Ironrod insisted to his death that the Iron Throne goes to a king’s son before a daughter. — Fire & Blood, The Dying of the Dragons - Rhaenyra Triumphant
Lord Larys Strong, master of whisperers
While most of those found guilty followed Perkin in taking the black, Lord Larys and Ser Gyles of the Kingsguard chose death over the Wall. Cregan beheaded the pair with his Valyrian steel greatsword, Ice. Cregan granted Larys’ last request, that his clubfoot be removed from his corpse so Larys would at least be free of it in death. — Fire & Blood, Aftermath - The Hour of the Wolf
The heads of Larys and Gyles were mounted on pikes by the gates of the Red Keep. Lord Strong’s corpse was given to the silent sisters, and years later his bones were taken to Harrenhal as his final resting place. Cregan ordered that the removed foot be buried in a field, but the limb disappeared before that could occur. As Larys was the last of his line, his death brought an end to House Strong. — The World of Ice & Fire, The Targaryen Kings: Aegon III
Maester Orwyle
When Ser Tyland Lannister died from the disease, the young King Aegon III ordered Orwyle to dispatch a raven to Goldengrove, summoning Lord Thaddeus Rowan to take the office of Hand of the King. Orwyle, possibly hoping for a royal pardon, was quick to obey his orders. He was later seized by the men of Lord Unwin Peake, one of Aegon III’s regents, who installed himself as the new King’s Hand. Orwyle was sent back to his cell to await execution. After Ser Victor Risley had been named as the King’s Justice, Orwyle was finally executed as a traitor and a deserter of the Night’s Watch. Due to his age, high birth and long service, he was granted the honor of dying by the sword. — Fire & Blood, Under the Regents - War and Peace and Cattle Shows

♛  ATTENTION THOSE IN THE CAPITAL
DISCONTENT REARS ITS HEAD ONCE MORE
⊱⊱⊱   with the festivities hosted by the tyrells drawing to a close, a week passes in quiet content - the concern that once coursed through the noble families gathered in the capital dissipating. preparations are made and a date is set - the official celebration of the princes’ birth is set for the next full moon ( two weeks after the masquerade ends ). it is announced that a representative of the dothraki will be present among the attendees, and in hopes of quelling the discontent among the smallfolk, the celebration will be city wide. all vendors will be closed and carts of wine, sweet meats and bread will be spread throughout the city for all to enjoy. the thrill of excitement that spreads through the city is evident, just as much as the needy anticipation of what might come.
⊱⊱⊱ three days before the big event, a Dornishmen reports that he has not seen his Prince in several days. the concern is brushed aside, the young man’s personality readily compared to that of his ancestor Oberyn Martell - in all likelihood, he has lost himself in the wine and brothels that are plentiful in the westerosi capital. Regardless, the King promises to send several men out to search for him. returning several hours later, one of the Kingsguard reports the man was indeed lost among the pleasures of a whorehouse and that he would return in time for the celebration. any concern that might once have wiggled at the corners of royal minds are brushed aside as the distraction of preparation for a quickly approaching celebration take precedent..
⊱⊱⊱  hours before dawn on the morning of the celebration, the Keep is roused by a scream. immediately following, the clanking of metal can be heard outside of doors as guards dash to investigate to noise. despite warning of their own household guard, several lords and ladies yank on robes, slippers and swords before hurrying down corridors to follow. by the time they make it to the throne room, several Kingsguard are already lowering the mangled body to the floor. if the house sigil presented on the chest were not enough of an identifier, the gouged out eyes and crushed skull would be - a reborn Oberyn Martel, they’d said. the maester who attends to the royal family is sent for to examine the body while several others are dispatched to look into the unexplained headaches and bouts of dizziness plaguing several lords and ladies.
⊱⊱⊱   the quiet reassurances of the King and Queen do little to quell the raising fear and accusations being thrown among those present. and regardless, such emotions are increased when the words carved into the stonework are pointed out with trembling fingers - THEY’RE NEXT. shortly after, several other nobles are reported as missing, seemingly having vanished in the middle of the night. among the missing are @highgcrdxn / PERSEPHONE TYRELL, @fvllenstar / ALLYRIA DAYNE, @tatethetully / TATE TULLY, @caffrenbaratheons / CAFFREN BARATHEON, @rosa-arryn / ROSA ARRYN, @lyn-high / LYNESSE HIGHTOWER, the ruling lord of house greyjoy and several other lords and ladies loyal to the respective great houses taken. it is readily noted that the following great houses ( and those who live in their respective regions ) were entirely unharmed; house LANNISTER ( & the westerlands ), house TARGARYEN ( & the crownlands ), and house STARK ( & the north ).
⊱⊱⊱ THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN TAKEN: the last thing you remember is feeling a bit off after dinner. you returned to your room and fell asleep in your own bed. you wake up in a dark windowless room - it doesn’t take long to realize it’s some sort of basement. you’re still donned in your sleep wear and your mouth had a distinct coppery tang. after a check around the room it becomes clear that the room is bare and the door is securely barred. you’ve already witnessed one noble woman scream herself silly in an attempt to get help. it wasn’t long before a guard appeared, the light of the torch nearly blinding - the woman was yanked from the space and hasn’t been returned.
⊱⊱⊱  upon waking, it became evident that several individuals were injured in transport to their current location. PERESPHONE TYRELL sustained a large gash to her forehead. the injury has stopped bleeding thanks to someone tearing a piece of their nightwear and pressing it to her head. RULING LORD GREYJOY and TATE TULLY  (and several other known swordsmen) have broken swordhands, while CAFFREN BARATHEON sports a broken nose. due to the darkness, ROSA ARRYN has lost her ability to lip read and has found communication far more difficult. ALLYRIA DAYNE, LYNESSE HIGHTOWER and the remaining lords and ladies have sustained minors scraps and bruising.
⊱⊱⊱ THOSE LEFT WITHIN THE KEEP: after inspection by the maesters, it becomes evident that several of you ( particularly those living with, guarding or serving those taken ) had something slipped into your food or drinks while at dinner last night. the drug was slow to take effect, but once it had it rendered you unconscious and unresponsive until it wore off several hours later, leaving behind a tangy copper taste in the mouth, slight dizziness and headaches. outside of the lingering effects, you are unharmed. the city has been thrown into lock down and the celebrations cancelled. the king has called for cooperation, but the seven kingdoms are divided as Ruling Lords and Ladies have drawn their forces in and have started searching the streets door to door for their missing loved ones. The city streets have been thrown into chaos as doors are kicked down and everything is overturned in the search. No longer does the word of the royal family hold the fear and respect it once did, for it has become clear that if these people are returned in less then pristine condition, there will be hell to pay.
⊱⊱⊱ Alliances are being tested and those once trusted no longer hold such a rapport. Ruling families are scrambling to break betrothals between themselves and other vassal houses in favor of aligning with stronger houses. War is on the horizon, the question simply remains whether or not its avoidable.
⊱⊱⊱  OOC NOTE: HAPPY (early) 6 MONTH ANNIVERSARY FAM ! I know this drop comes as a bit of a surprise but I do so hope you enjoy. Those who have been kidnapped may ONLY have threads with others present, so please plot or tag your starter accordingly. Those still in the Keep - tensions are very high and trust is nearly nonexistent for those outside of your region (i.e. those in dorne are eyeing everyone up with some suspicion, etc ).
⊱⊱⊱   This is part one of the event and trust me when I say there is much, much more to come. Enjoy !

Hightower-Lannister family? Please, gush away, spill the beans!
YES THANK YOU.
Okay we are going chronologically, be prepared
We start after the war, Robert is king an Jamie annoys him, he decides to marry him off, making a special agreement so that he can do this as a knight. Robert choices a Hightower sister: Helanna. She says yes. purely to increase her family’s nobility. Jamie is forced to agree.
During their engagement, Helanna sees Jamie and Cersei doing some un twin like things and uses this to her advantage, she could marry someone she has leverage over.
Tumblr media
more down bellow
She strikes a deal with Jamie, she keeps her mouth shut and she’s free to sleep with who she wants, any children he’ll claim as his. He wants kids so badly he accepts this.
Her and Cersei strangely get along fine she ‘understands’ her and Jamie’s relationship (🤮she doesn’t, she’s a liar). Again, both are very clear that they haven’t consummated the marriage. Cersei once sends a knight to sleep with Helanna 💀. they’re so funny.
Anyway. Cersei is pregnant and can’t pretend it’s Roberts so she starts a rumour that Helanna is pregnant and goes to live with her as a ‘good sister in law’. This is when Joanna Lannister is born, and Helanna agrees to raise her.
Tumblr media
Cersei is very territorial over her children, so they live in the Red Keep, going to the Hightower home as holidays basically lol. same with Casterly Rock. Helanna then decides that she will NOT have a possible future heir to the Lannister fortune be Cersei’s child, so plans to somehow have a boy.
In my head, Jamie genuinely likes Helanna and sees her as a friend. and he has moments of clarity where he realises Cersei is insane and after one of these moments…He and Helanna finally…consummate the marriage lol.
9 months later, Brydan Lannister is born, Jamie freaks out like “is he mine??” and Helanna is like “nope,” and finds a random blonde do to shag and make Jamie see to keep this lie going.
Tumblr media
Anyway, then they don’t have sex again and Cersei has another child who Helanna raises, Loren Lannister.
Tumblr media
Helanna sleeps around a lot, and gives birth the Alerie Lannister, named after her sister (Margaery’s mum). Jamie gets really sad actually, because he loves Alerie, but he knows she’s not his, and he knows Brydan is. He’s a jealous man.
Tumblr media
Jamie then sleeps on and off with Helanna, and two daughters are born, Rhea Lannister (named after Helanna’s mum) and then a Olenna Lannister because Helanna is very close to her neice and nephew, causing Olenna to almost absorb her into the family.
Tumblr media
The death of Margaery sends Helanna into an early labour with Olenna. Really a kick in the face when he realises his daughter is named after the woman he killed his son (Helanna LOVES it lol. what a leg)
Tumblr media
ANYWAY, everything is very rocky and Jamie falls out of love with Cersei, and realise Helanna is just AMAZING, and BEAUTIFUL and he loves her and their kids.
When Jamie goes north to fight against the white walkers, Helanna begs to go with him, but Cersei keeps a close eye on her and while Jamie is away, she pays a lot of attention to how Helanna’s children look a lot like Jamie- Anyway, she’s imprisoned and Joanna sends her siblings away, Loren stays with her in King’s Landing and Alerie is sent North to find Jamie, Olenna sends Tyrion a letter begging for help, although she’s never met him.
Helanna escapes, bruised and bloody, and Joanna leaves with her bit Loren refuses to leave, and Cersei is like ‘omg a son thats alive that doesn’t hate me but doesn’t know im his mum 😭)
Anyway, Helanna’s imprisonment is what seals the deal for Jamie and he goes to kill Cersei lol, Helanna and the kids in the north. He could just stay with them actually lol. idk.

i actually feel SO good about my casting because Joanna and Loren have much sharper features compared to their siblings, showing how Helanna isn’t their birth mother

can someone pls help me with the timeline of Game of Thrones please lol
Because I think maybe Helanna will be pregnant with Olenna in S1 instead of S6 because then she’d be like 8 or 9 in the final, and like thats made me want to add another child because Ruby Stokes is SO good as a part of that family, so maybe i’ll make her and Rhea REALLY close in age and then have another child born in S1, probably played by Florence Hunt.
Tumblr media
Might make her a bastard as well? idk, i get fhe vibes that S1 Jamie would 10/10 would have become and asshole to Helanna so would have had a baby with someone else.

Note
For the Hightower-Lannister family, what happens with them for the time when the Tyrells are on Renly’s side? Who picks who’s side, any turncoats?
I mean Helanna has to keep her mouth SHUT. She can’t be getting killed lol. She lives in the Red Keep.
She has to keep sending letters begging them to side with Joffrey but her heart isn’t really in it lol. Brydan is like “lol, mum get us out of here” dnkdkek
