He bit his lip. “It’s up to you babe.”

“I’ll just deal with it.” Corinna said as she closed her eyes as the tears ran down.

“Do you want some medicine baby?”

“I do wanna let you know that I’m happy to give you an epidural but I can’t guarantee it will do much, it may take the edge off but there will still be a great amount of pain because the epidural is more resistant to back labor than it is normal labor.” the nurse explained

He looked up when a doctor walked in. “What’s wrong with her?”

“It’s back labor, you’re in full on labor but it’s in your back for the most part.” the doctor said

“Was that a contraction?” He asked. “I’m going to send her the lullabies I recorded for him.”

“I don’t know but it was pain, I’ve never had contractions in my back and side before.”

“I know honey.” He didn’t waste any time getting her set up in a room once they got to the hospital. “Jade texted baby boy doesn’t want to sleep.”

Corinna was laid in the bed when she started to feel pain in her side “Shit.” she said as she held her side “Aw, my baby.”

“I just want you and the baby to be okay right now.” He was trying not to speed

“I think it’s all gonna be okay, baby but we might be leaving with a baby depending what’s going on.”

“I know baby. I do too. I wish we could have taken him with us.”

“I wish we could have too but I don’t want him to see me like hooked up to things if they do.”

“Mama and I will call as soon as we can. I love you superman.” Aaron kissed his cheek

“I hate leaving him so much.” Corinna said “I get so much guilt.”

He got everyone loaded in the car and drove to his brother’s house.. “you’re going to have a good time with auntie and uncle. I promise.”

“Be good, my little baby boy, it’s gonna be okay.” the woman said as Jagger came out opening the door taking out Xavier and his bag. “Mama, daddy.” he whined “It’s okay, baby, I love you.” she said “Be good for auntie and uncle.”

“Daddy is going to take really good care of mommy, okay bub?”

“Okay daddy.” the little boy said as Corinna wiped his nose and cheeks

Aaron made quick work of putting together an overnight bag and calling his brother. He walked downstairs. “Do you think we need baby’s car seat?”

“I’m not sure, it’s entirely possible.” Corinna said as she held Xavier on her lap “Mommy’s okay, it’s okay.” she said trying to soothe the little boy

“I’m going to pack a bag for Xavier.” He smiled

“Sounds good, my love, I’ll go downstairs.” she said picking up their son cuddling her nose to his cheek.

“Maybe we should go to the hospital. Jagger and Jade can watch little man.”

“Maybe that’s a good idea, I don’t really know what else I could do, I tried to eat but I just couldn’t.”
