guys guys guys IDK if anyone cares terribly about Crisis Core Reunion voice actors but there's a Square Enix publisher sale on Steam and their developer playthrough pre-recorded livestream is of Chapter 2 of CCR and its 30+ minutes of delightful interview with Genesis' VA Shaun Conde!
And Genesis is officially cat-coded now (but we all knew this anyway).
Link is here!

Playing through Crisis Core Reunion makes me miss Oliver Quinn—Genesis’ English VA. There’s the Rick vs Caleb debates for Zach, but there’s nothing for Genesis 😞
Shaun Conde does an okay job, but he just sounds so… flat. He doesn’t have the same underlying anger/bitterness that Oliver did, a kind of repressed emotion. And there’s little to no traces of a Continental accent that just add a little more polish and sophistication to Genesis’ image as a poet warrior.

So I’ve had this idea for awhile now. There are points in the AC games where Desmond sees ghosts of people instead of his ancestors. What if this wasn’t just a bleed but a slip in time? Desmond trying to prove the ghosts aren’t real tries touching them to ‘dispel’ then and ends up accidentally stealing something off them. Something small like a pin or feather. Desmond starts a collection of items he keeps hidden from the others. His favorite targets to steal from are the ancestors because the stolen item is small it’s not noticed the first few times but then they get paranoid later when they notice. Maybe desmond can reverse pickpocket the ancestors and leaves small things that help on missions? Maybe he just keeps a box of treasures from the ancestors to feel close to them (cause he loves them).
It would be funny if the first time Desmond did this, he didn’t even realize it.
Like… he was just trying to touch his ancestor to see if they were real but the closest thing he could touch was their hood. He touches it and they disappear before he could be sure if he did touch it or if he just ‘imagined’ he touched it.
He didn’t know that he had accidentally pulled their hoods off.
And that immediately catches his ancestors attention because that has never happened before.
How the hell…?
Then…
The next time he tries to touch someone, it’s Maria Auditore. She was just staring at the wall and Desmond didn’t know why he did it.
He just…
He tried to touch her hair.
Only to accidentally take one of her hairpins before she disappeared.
His eyes widened as he noticed the hairpin he was now holding.
Not knowing that Maria Auditore had turned around to face the direction where she felt the touch and ask quietly but desperately, “Petruccio?”
After that, Desmond tried to experiment on just what he can touch or pilfer.
It seemed that the moment he touches the ‘ghost’, they disappear.
But if can pull his ‘prize’ off the ‘ghost’ before they disappear, his stolen good would stay with him.
Tugging Altaïr’s red sash does not work.
But nicking one of Ezio’s pouches (the smoke bomb one that Desmond knew he could easily replace) does work.
As long as the entirety of the item is pulled away from the ‘ghost’, it will work.
So…
Desmond tried to check if he could only do this for small items.
Malik’s teacup (the Jerusalem bureau had a lot anyway) and… this one actually bit him back because he had to quickly steal it which meant he splashed hot tea on his arm.
Machiavelli’s coin pouch… (he can take the ‘hit’)
Haytham’s hat (which he threw on the pile of secret stolen goods he was hiding in his little corner of the Grand Temple like some kind of treasure hoard… not that he thought of Haytham’s tacohat as a treasure but, well, he stole it so it was his now, no takebacks)
And then…
He went big.
He went for Ratonhnhaké:ton’s tomahawk.
In Desmond’s defense, he didn’t think it would work.
The tomahawk was secured on Ratonhnhaké:ton’s belt and it wasn’t like simply clipped on like Ezio’s pouches. It was definitely more secured than Machiavelli’s coin pouch.
But…
He still managed to nick it.
For a brief second before the ghost disappeared, he was sure Ratonhnhaké:ton had turned around and tried to grab his wrist.
He knew he locked eyes with Ratonhnhaké:ton.
He was sure of it.
Anyway…
In the end, Desmond felt so bad that the next time he sees Ratonhnhaké:ton’s ghost, he returned the tomahawk without pilfering anything else.
And Ratonhnhaké:ton realized it when he felt the weight of his belt change. He took the tomahawk and saw the post it stuck to the blade that says ‘Sorry. I didn’t think I would actually steal it. :(‘ (and Ratonhnhaké:ton has no idea what “:(“ meant, was that supposed to be a kind of signature?)
From there, Desmond realized that he can… in some way, also plant something to the ghosts.
He only does it to his ancestors and it’s usually things that he knew they could use with little post its to leave a message on how to use them.
Bandages for Ratonhnhaké:ton because he’s always out alone, and he stresses that he needs to clean even the smallest cut Ratonhnhaké:ton might get.
Machiavelli’s coin purse to Ezio with a post it that says “tell Machiavelli I didn’t steal anything inside. Just wanted to check if I could steal it. Sorry.”
And…
Because he was insane…
Or he was slowly going insane being stuck in the Grand Temple with no one to talk to but two stressed Assassins trying to fight a ticking solar time bomb and his dad who he has a lot of unsolved father issues with, he just…
He accidentally gave Altaïr Shaun’s pocket notebook.
It was stupid.
Absolutely stupid.
But, at the same time…
Altaïr’s ghost just appeared out of nowhere and Desmond didn’t have anything on him so he just grabbed the smallest thing on Rebecca’s table. He didn’t even know why Shaun’s notebook was there!
Fuck.
Shaun was looking for it and Desmond had to pretend to not know where it is because he wasn’t going to tell them he could ‘touch’ ghosts.
A selfish part of him couldn’t help but think that this ‘interaction’ was his alone. That telling anyone would corrupt this beautiful thing he has.
Still, he felt bad so he promised to himself that he’d steal back Shaun’s notes next time he sees Altaïr.
… And he’ll just hope that Altaïr would keep the notebook on him.
Which he did.
Surprisingly.
So he quickly stole it back and…
He paused.
Because that was too easy.
Especially for Altaïr…
So he flipped the notebook open.
And sees a folded paper on the first page, written in English in Altaïr’s handwriting.
“Are you our Desmond? If you are, give me another one of this that I can write on. We need to talk.”
And Desmond frowned and flipped through Shaun’s notes.
He had expected it to be notes about Renaissance Italy or maybe even the American Revolutions.
No.
It was notes…
About Desmond.
All of his Animus sessions, including the sessions he had in Abstergo, summarized with Shaun’s snarky comments here and there, and…
Desmond’s eyes widened.
The last entries was about how Desmond seemed to be trying to touch something that’s not there.
There’s even a comment of how Shaun believes that Desmond is using sleight of hand to look like he managed to catch something in midair and he’s worried that Desmond doesn’t even realize he’s doing it, that he truly believed that he was able to catch something that wasn’t there.
That meant Shaun believed Desmond was slowly losing his mind and making up elaborate-
Wait.
Altaïr read this.
He would have connected Desmond’s supposed ‘catching of something not there’ to…
Oh.
Altaïr knows…
He knows who Desmond is.

So has everyone gotten their hearts ripped out by seeing a certain scene in a certain reactor in 4K as the lord intended yet? If not, beware of spoilers.
So when Sephiroth clutches his head, I think he's glitching like Cloud does in FFVIIR. My guess is that the glitches are what happens when Jenova starts scrambling their brains.
Oh, and fuck you, Genesis. "Oh hey, Seph, I need your help to survive but I'm just gonna insult you and taunt you about your alien mom before reciting more Loveless first, kay?" Punk ass bitch.

Absolutely bang up job from the whole cast! I sang the praises of most folk throughout the game, but everyone was fantastic! Still, my favourite shout outs have to go to Paul Castro Jr., Griffin Burns, Miranda Parkin, Kitana Turnbull, Shaun Conde and Xander Mobus. All of them really brought each of their characters to life in such a vibrant and enthusiastic way whether they were being loud or quiet.
That said, nobody did a bad job and I loved hearing every single voice acted line, especially from the entire returning cast of the first game!
Haven't looked at the cast before now and now that I have that opportunity, what a line up! The Additional Voices line-up had more recognisable names in it! I hardly recognise anyone that wasn't in the original game. Apart from them, only Kanon, Ayano and Kubo have voice actors that I know on sight.
Looking up some of them, it's impressive how small some of the resumes are. Miranda Parkin and Max Udell, Nagi and Susukichi, have hardly been in anything at all, according to IMBD. That's extra impressive, considering they were playing two of the most loud and colourful characters in the cast and they absolutely succeeded at doing them justice! So massive props to them!
It's also quite encouraging to see that many of the original cast have a fairly sparse amount of roles. Folk like Crawford Wilson seems to have not really done much acting in recent years, with a multi-year gap between his last role and this. And Rhyme seems to be one of the most consistent roles that Ashley Rose has done despite only voicing her twice. It's really cool to know that all these people returned to voice their characters and while it was to a limited capacity for some of them, it was fantastic to hear them get to go full voice acting, going from minor clips and single lines to fully acted scenes. It's so great to get to hear them embody the characters to a fuller extent.
And Shiba. Man, I spent the whole game thinking that I must know his voice from somewhere - it was that good and that distinct. But I don't. Shaun Conde has had a few roles, but nothing this noteworthy (to me, at least). However, he's gonna among the new voice cast of the FF Crisis Core remake, voicing Genesis. I know some people are understandably salty about the recast for the remake, but I'm personally down to let some new blood have a go at those roles. And if they've got talent like our Shiba voicing it's main villain, that's a good sign that it's in good hands (or, er, voices).
So one last time, I applaud the work that went into every character in this awesome cast!

NEO: The World Ends with You details Shoka, Kariya, and Uzuki, Replay and Pins systems, enemies, more
■ Story
It was just another seemingly ordinary day in Shibuya—but not for Rindo. He could tell something about the city felt different.
He soon finds himself caught in the telekinetic crossfire of a psychic battle unfolding in the Scramble Crossing. And before he can catch his breath, a girl with an ominous aura appears before him and welcomes him to the so-called “Reapers’ Game.”
Tumblr media
With some trepidation, Rindo and his friend Fret play along, convincing themselves that a “Game” couldn’t have any serious consequences. It isn’t long, however, until they start having second thoughts.
Rindo’s instinct was right: something about this Shibuya is different. The boys’ confusion is compounded by fear when they learn the first rule of this Game: if you don’t win, you cease to exist altogether.
Dead set on returning home, they must now compete against other Players in a battle for survival in Shibuya’s Underground (or “UG”).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
■ Characters (Updated)
Rindo (voiced by Paul Castro Jr. [ENG], Yuuma Uchida [JPN)
Tumblr media
One of the newest Players in the Reapers’ Game, Rindo is a high schooler to whom searching for info on his phone is second nature. He prefers to go with the flow, and although he doesn’t go out of his way to interact with others, he won’t turn them away if they come to him first.
Thrust into the Game without even realizing it, he now serves as the de facto leader of the Wicked Twisters.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fret (voiced by Griffin Burns [ENG], Chiharu Sawashiro [JPN])
Tumblr media
Rindo’s happy-go-lucky classmate and fellow Player in the Reapers’ Game, Fret boasts the ability to get along with just about anyone. While he styles himself as a natural conversationalist, he prefers to keep things light, subconsciously avoiding subjects that are too serious. He enjoys walking around town with his buddy “Rindude.”
Tumblr media
Nagi (voiced by Miranda Parkin [ENG], Mina Katahira [JPN])
Tumblr media
Another Player in the Reapers’ Game, Nagi is a college student whose youthful appearance leads others to mistake her for a middle schooler. She is deeply passionate about her pastimes, devoting all of her time and energy to her favorite games. Highly perceptive, she is acutely aware of others’ emotions, and shows disdain toward those she deems superficial and disingenuous.
Tumblr media
Minamimoto (voiced by Andy Hirsch [ENG], Takayuki Fujimoto [JPN])
Tumblr media
A fellow Player in the Reapers’ Game, Minamimoto puts his impressive psychic powers to use when he saves Rindo and the gang from a tight spot early on, then forces himself onto their team.
He calculates every possible future using his own unique formulas and acts in accordance with the values he discovers, but he remains a mystery to all around him. He seems to have his sights set on something greater than Rindo and the gang.
Tumblr media
Shiba (voiced by Shaun Conde [ENG], Daiki Hamano [JPN])
Tumblr media
Shiba currently ranks number one among the Reapers in the Shibuya UG, having worked his way to the top within a year of his arrival. He also serves as the Game’s Master, arbiter of its rules, and encourages its Players to keep things hot.
His psychic powers far surpass those of his fellow Reapers, ensuring that none dare disobey him.
Tumblr media
Shoka (voiced by Bailey Gambertoglio [ENG], Akari Kitou [JPN)
Tumblr media
One of the Reapers in charge of managing the Game, Shoka is less than enthused with her job of monitoring the Players. Having grown bored of the Game in its current state, she not-so-secretly hopes someone will come along and shake things up, showing open disdain toward Players who are slow to learn the rules.
The hoodie she wears is a signature piece from Gatto Nero, a new brand that has recently taken Shibuya by storm.
Tumblr media
Kariya (voiced by Andrew Kishino [ENG], Anri Katsu [JPN])
Tumblr media
Despite his veteran status among the Shibuya Reapers, Kariya has no career aspirations, content with working among the rank-and-file Reapers. Though he used to work alongside Uzuki, the two operate separately at present. Never seen without one of his trademark lollipops.
Tumblr media
Uzuki (voiced by Kate Higgins [ENG], Satomi Arai in [JPN])
Tumblr media
Although her mind was once solely focused on getting ahead, Uzuki seems to have outgrown her previous ambition for some reason or another—but her short temper hasn’t changed a bit. She used to work with Kariya, but currently she operates alone.
Tumblr media

■ Music
The game’s vibrant soundtrack is provided by Takeharu Ishimoto, who composed music for the previous game.
Not only has he written a slew of new songs, but he has also rearranged familiar tracks from The World Ends with You, including “Twister” and “Calling”!
Tumblr media
■ Key Item: Reaper Pin – The Key to the Reapers’ Game
Reaper Pins serve as proof that one has been approved to take part in the Reapers’ Game.
Not only do these pins grant Players the ability to telepathically Scan their surroundings, but they also educe some of the wielders’ own latent psychic powers.
—Upon obtaining Reaper Pins of their own, Rindo and the gang are swept into a battle for their lives.
Tumblr media
■ Game System: Replay – Replay the Past to Change Your Fate
Each member of the Wicked Twisters possesses their own unique psychic powers.
Rindo boasts the ability to turn back time within a given day, allowing him to alter some of his earlier actions in hopes of bringing about a better final outcome.
This Replay power proves indispensable in Rindo’s efforts to survive the Reapers’ Game.
Tumblr media
■ Pins

Azamaru
Tumblr media
A pin bearing the “Shockwave” psych. Slash at enemies with a flaming sword, then leap into the air before delivering one final hit.

Tumblr media
Glacial Getaway
Tumblr media
The “Piercing Pillar” psych conjures an enormous icicle beneath your foes, sometimes sending them skyward.
Tumblr media
■ Enemies
Players in the Reapers’ Game will face off against enemies known as Noise that come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from herds of smaller beasts to singular fiends that tower over your entire team.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Avoiding them literally won’t get you anywhere, as many missions require Players to erase Noise in order to proceed. Felling these foes will also provide you with powerful new pins, so rest assured that your efforts won’t go unrewarded!
—Some truly ferocious Boss Noise will stand in your way!

hey hey shay! this is late but i wanted to thank you for the tags you wrote on my promo post!! it made me smile ;w; i love when my friends use both pronouns for me waahhh ALSO I DIDNT KNOW YOU LIKED NEO TWEWY???? what are your favorite character moments for everyone if you have any?
Thank you for the ask!!! :D and yeyeye of course! im glad to make my good friends smile C:
and YEAH i do! i didn't play the original, but you can thank @izabellwit's fics, especially all that's left in the world, for getting me invested in the characters. Then when NEO came out, I decided to hit up some playthroughs since I didn't have a switch, and. g-ddamn i was in love.
like the story FUCKED unequivocally but i got sucked in primarily because of the voice work, especially since most of the cast (VAs for Rindo, Nagi, Beat, Neku, Sho, Rhyme, Coco, Shiba, Tsugumi and Hishima) haven't really been in any projects on this scale that I can tell (besides for other TWEWY stuff and KH3D for the veteran characters). Even tho Neo TWEWY isn't like a huge pop culture phenomenon by any means, I'm still hoping this turns into a breakout role for them. Like if this doesn't pay off for Paul Castro Jr, Bailey Gambertoglio, Miranda Parkin, Crawford Wilson, Jessie David Corti, Andy Hirsh, Ashley Rose Orr, Shaun Conde and James Austin Kerr? I'm rioting, they ROCKED this fucking game.
And then on top of that, there's some fucking amazing VAs with history in the industry. Xanthe Huyn as Kuon, Xander Mobus as Tanzo Kubo, Nicolas Cantu as Hazuki and Aaron Spann as Joshua. All of them do phenomenally and it makes me so happy to see them here. Skylark, Kirk Thornton and Robert Buclotz did some damn good work on production and voice direction too, like, you can really tell the voice direction is on point when the entire cast is consistently hitting their vocal mark. Helps that they have some damn charming writing to go off of too.
Anyway uhhh sorry for rambling about VA stuff, ummmm, character things.....Nagi was an eternal delight, and I had the biggest dumbest grin whenever she was on screen. It's impossible to pick a specific favorite moment, she's just a delightfully unhinged weirdo and the loser girl bisexual representation we absolutely needed. Coco was similarly fucking delightful, I like fully came into this game expecting to hate her cause she shot Neku but. it took about two seconds of her being on screen before I forgot that completely and decided I loved her character. As far as actual moments though...tbh the entire last hour of the game was just fucking golden. Shiki showed up and I pogged out of my mind, the entire ensemble came together to fight off the noise, fucking JOSH arrived and was just as big of a condescending asshole (affectionate) as he always is, the protags used all of their powers in unison, the final boss fight was perfectly badass and then everything got wrapped up nice, and that final moment with Shoka getting grumpy at Rindo for not checking his inbox, just....amazing. All golden. I couldn't stop grinning.
But as far as favorite moments? Rindo and Haz's conversation nearly brought me to tears, holy shit.
Haz: "What makes [Shibuya] so special? Why fight so hard to protect it?"
Rindo: "I dunno. It doesn't feel very special right now."
Rindo: "I'm going back. I'm going to save the city and my friends. Without them, all of this means nothing. Shibuya isn't special without them here!"
lost my entire shit it was amazing. g-d what a fucking character moment. rindo's the best, love that kid.

Once upon a time, in a quaint village nestled amidst rolling hills, there lived a small and determined bird named Pip. Pip was not an ordinary bird; he possessed a unique ability to understand human language. One day, a kind-hearted villager approached Pip with a letter clutched tightly in their hand.
"This letter," the villager said, "must reach the Alchemist who lives in a distant land, far beyond the mountains and across the vast ocean. I trust in your remarkable gift, Pip. Will you deliver it for me?"
Pip chirped in agreement, his tiny wings quivering with excitement. With the letter carefully secured in a small pouch around his neck, Pip took off into the sky, his feathers catching the warm rays of the sun.
Through wind and rain, Pip soared across boundless landscapes, crossing forests, rivers, and valleys. His wings carried him tirelessly, and his determination never wavered. He encountered diverse landscapes, each holding its own beauty and challenges.
As Pip ventured into unknown territories, he encountered other birds who provided him with guidance and companionship. They shared stories of their own journeys and offered advice on how to navigate through treacherous storms and unfamiliar territories.
Days turned into weeks, and Pip's little body grew weary, but he refused to give up. His devotion to delivering the letter and fulfilling his mission fueled his spirit. His wings grew stronger, and his resolve deepened.
Finally, after a long and arduous flight, Pip arrived at the destination—a bustling city in the faraway land. The sights, sounds, and scents overwhelmed him, but he stayed focused on his task. He searched for the address written on the letter and found himself standing before a door.
Pip gently dropped the letter on the doorstep and let out a melodious chirp, hoping someone inside would notice. The door opened and out came the Alchemist. Curiosity piqued, they opened it and began to read the heartfelt words within.
Touched by the message, the recipient of the letter smiled and thanked the Pip who flew back to the village.
Inside it says: "Assassin's Creed x Ace Attorney Au with Harem for Desmond because I'm trash".
The alchemist watched the little bird fly away and wondered why they had never tried to employ a creature of their own to ferry their mail.
Only for a mirthless smile to appear on their face as they remembered the eldritch horror that slipped out of their cauldron when they first tried to synthesize a living creature with the use of a red stone.
Yeeaaahhh.
The alchemist would be sticking to asking the courier to send the daily mail for now.
… until they have managed to create another red stone with 999 quality… then they’d try again.
Maybe.
The alchemist closed the door and picked up a small cauldron from the stack of clean small cauldrons by the door. They placed the letter inside the cauldron and they were about to place it by the fire when they saw a puff of magenta smoke coming from the small cauldron currently on the fire. They took the piece of letter from the cauldron and placed it by the table before standing by the fire, exchanging the cauldrons. As the cauldron heated and be slowly filled by liquid of endless possibility, the alchemist placed the other cauldron on the table and took out the pair of sai with a magenta shine to the blade in their hands from the inside of the cauldron. After inspecting it was of good quality, the alchemist placed it on the box marked as ‘daily deliveries’.
The alchemist walked towards their chest to pick up some materials to include in this synthesis, wondering if they still have any taco shells left.
========= Actual Answer Portion =========
Now, the usual setup would be to kick Desmond into taking the defense attorney role as the main character but I say let’s spice things up a bit.
Desmond isn’t the defense attorney nor is he the main character of this idea…
He’s the defense attorney’s assistant who has the ability to channel spirits for a few brief seconds or so and so unlucky he becomes a suspect in a murder at least once every year XD
That’s right!
In this idea, Desmond will be our Maya Fey!
(mainly because the whole Maya getting possessed by her sister at times would be this AU’s equivalent to the Bleeding Effect)
As for the main defense attorney, we’re going for Shaun because he’s smart enough to be an attorney, his conspiracy theorist side would work well to make this wackier than it should be if we had a purely straight man (hehe) as our defense attorney, and Shaun gets to suffer thru his assistant getting a harem while he’s just trying to do his job.
Now, with that out of the way, let’s talk about the setup.
So, for this one, Shaun would be a newly badged (yeah, yeah, we’re sticking to Ace Attorney’s legal system which is based on the Japanese legal system) defense attorney and his boss helps him on his first case.
The first case was simple enough and his boss even complements him, telling him that he has more potential than his sorry excuse for a son.
Then…
The following morning, Shaun learns his boss has been murdered, and the number one suspect?
Desmond Miles, the murdered Defense Attorney William Miles’ runaway son.
(I’m sorry, Mia. I wish I could give you a better counterpart in this one but Bill was an easy target.)
So Shaun meets up with Desmond and, this time, there’s a bit of animosity between them because Shaun saw Bill as a good father-figure while Desmond thinks his old man was a bastard thru and thru (maybe give hints that Desmond running away changed Bill for the better and stuff) but Shaun trusts his gut instincts and thinks Desmond is innocent so he takes the case.
During the case itself, just when Shaun is losing hope and can’t find the evidence (or the anomaly) to show Desmond’s innocence, Desmond talks to him in a different tone and a deeper voice, telling him to look at the murder weapon once more. This makes Shaun realize that the murder weapon had a blood stain by the hilt which was strange all on its own since it’s right smack in the middle of how the murdered would have held the weapon.
The blood turned out to be the killer’s who had nicked their palm during the attack due to Bill fighting back and this was the smoking gun that exonerated Desmond.
By then though, Desmond’s face has been plastered quite a bit in the news and people in his last job as a bartender recognized him so he had to quit. He joins the new Hastings & Co. Law Offices as Shaun’s assistant.
And that’s when Shaun’s misery began.
Because…
No matter what personality they had or how unapproachable they were, the prosecutors going against Shaun will always… always… fall in love with Desmond during the case.
It’s a curse.
It’s a goddamn curse.
That was the only way Shaun could see it.
Desmond was both a catnip for murder allegations, hauntings (Shaun was pretty sure he was being haunted by the ancestor that Bill once told Shaun had been the very first Miles to be a defense attorney), and the weirdest most aggravating prosecutors out there.
And thus, starts Shaun’s journey into becoming the best defense attorney… while having first front seats to the court ‘drama’ harem story of his assistant.
Unorganized Notes:
The spirit possessing Desmond at times to help Shaun is his ancestor from his father’s side, Aquilus. Legend says he had spoken for those being prosecuted on their behalf during Ancient Roman times but… well… there’s no real evidence he even exists.
Desmond’s channeling capabilities come from his mother’s side who died when he was young. She was a branch family member of the Fey Clan (although we can change the name if you want, I think it would be a neat shoutout/reference) and Desmond has been ignored by the clan since psychic powers only truly manifest in females. Desmond’s channeling is restricted to one ‘ghost’ so, yeah, he’s ignored by his mother’s clan and some even suggest that he’s faking it since William Miles had been training him to be a lawyer since he was a kid so he actually knows more law than a lay person and is quite observant even though he usually pretends to be a just a ‘pretty face’.
Rebecca works in the office as their tech ‘guy’. This is one of her many side gigs and she only comes to the office once a week to check that Shaun and Desmond haven’t destroyed any of the tech she set up for them. She and Shaun have a thing going on and it’s not clear if it’s gonna lead to something romantic or it’s purely platonic but their closeness makes people just think that they have a thing going on.
Now… It’s time for Shaun’s main antagonists… and Desmond’s harem!
Altaïr: the first main prosecutor that got onto Shaun’s nerve. He believes he’s the best and, goddamn it, Shaun was mature enough to admit that he was certainly one of the best prosecutors he’d had the displeasure of having to ‘fight’. And, yeah, sure, Shaun would find some amusement in seeing Altaïr be all awkward around Desmond but he had just assumed that it was because Desmond was weird and so out of place in court that Shaun didn’t blame Altaïr at all for acting that way. Then… the case ended (which he won by the way, suck it, Altaïr!) and Shaun had to watch with building horror as Altaïr awkwardly asks Desmond out after the whole speech of ‘it was unprofessional for me to do this during the case’ and all that blah blah and Shaun horrifyingly realized that Altaïr hadn’t been weirded or confused by Desmond… he had been making goo-goo eyes with Desmond while trying to not make goo-goo eyes and… Shaun really thought Altaïr just looked both confused and maybe a bit constipated! How was he supposed to know those were his ‘trying to hide it’ goo-goo eyes??? Altaïr’s assistant Kadar was no help, just giving Shaun a thumbs up as if he and Shaun were both on the same side and was supporting this horrifying situation.
Ezio Auditore came from a rich family but, after his father was wrongfully accused of espionage (What.), he became a lawyer, seemingly to take down as many corrupt government officials as he could get. Shaun had taken the job because he truly believed Monsieur de la Serre (no, really, he wanted to be called monsieur, dear lord) wasn’t corrupt. Unlike Altaïr (who Desmond was still dating, Shaun would like to stress), Ezio had no qualms about flirting with Desmond the entire time they were on court… and off the court. Shaun has no idea just how ‘exclusive’ Desmond and Altaïr were and, Shaun cannot stress this enough, Shaun would not like to know at all. Even after Monsieur de la Serre had been acquitted (of course), Ezio would be sending gifts in their office with small poems (and, one time, an actual oil painting of Desmond which Desmond found to be quite touching but Shaun only found it really, really creepy) attached to them for Desmond. Then he heard Rebecca and Desmond talking about how he has a date with Ezio tonight and he’d be picking him up in his apartment but Altaïr wants to meet Ezio first before they go and… at that point, Shaun had hidden in his office because, nope, not gonna touch that. Absolutely not!
Shaun’s next misfortunate came twofold. He had decided to take on the case of Connor- fine, Desmond- the case of Ratonhnhaké:ton who was the prime suspect in the murder of one Charles Lee. And the prosecutor? Haytham Kenway, a veteran prosecutor who many believe would become a judge a year or so from now. So, everything was proceeding well enough. Shaun has gotten used to Altaïr’s unannounced visits and Ezio’s gifts that seeing Ratonhnhaké:ton stealing glances and looking down whenever Desmond smiles at him? Shaun was zen. Shaun was like the ocean. Seeing the way Haytham Kenway’s eyes ablaze not from anger whenever his eyes would meet Desmond? Shaun was zen. Shaun was like the ocean. Learning that Ratonhnhaké:ton and Haytham were actually father and son who didn’t know they were related at all and framing Ratonhnhaké:ton had been one big elaborate plan by a father wishing vengeance against Haytham who prosecuted his only son which led to said son’s death? Shaun was NOT zen. Nope! And, for once, it wasn’t Desmond’s fault!
The next on Shaun’s growing ‘I don’t wanna know, Desmond, I really don’t’ list was Haytham’s older brother, Edward Kenway, who looked and acted like the type of man who’d be in a lot of trouble with the law. But nooooo. He was also a prosecutor and… at this point, Shaun just wanted to get away from the Kenway drama. Oh, and they were now employing Ratonhnhaké:ton as their muscles because… Desmond told Shaun he needs a job while he’s looking for a new place to live (Shaun was sure he was living with Desmond at the moment and, last time Shaun had unfortunately eavesdropped on Desmond and Rebecca, Desmond was officially living with Altaïr so… Shaun does not know and doesn’t want to know what Ratonhnhaké:ton’s real living situation is)
Sidebar: if we aim to give Altaïr the Miles Edgeworth treatment: his foster father (Rashid) is the one who killed his father when Altaïr was young.
Other harem candidates + Shaun’s ‘enemies’:
Shay works for ‘Kenway & Kenway’ (no, really, that’s the name of the law firm, it was Edward’s idea, ssiigghh) and would be against Shaun who would represent one Hope Jensen who allegedly poisoned an entire warehouse filled with employees of Starrick Industries. Shay used to be a defense attorney but he became a prosecutor after a falling out with his old law firm ‘Davenport & Co’.
Arno is a new prosecutor but he’s quickly getting notoriety for being very hands-on, going to crime scenes and doing his own investigations. Police officers either like him or hate him for that, there is no in-between when it comes to how the police officers see Arno. Arno’s also a bit of a flirt and Shaun is getting Ezio vibes from him. From the way Desmond acts around him, Shaun knows Desmond finds him cute… and Shaun hates the fact that he’s been in this hell long enough that he can understand when Desmond finds someone cute already. Oh. And Arno was the prosecutor against Shaun’s client Mirabeau… and apparently the ex of Monsier de la Serre’s daughter? Shaun… doesn’t want to know.
Jacob Frye… was the prime murder suspect actually… of a fire that killed kids. He was also very, very mum about the entire thing which was suspicious. The prosecutor to his case was his own twin sister, Evie Frye, which Shaun believed should not happen but Evie managed to convince the judge that she plans to uphold the law regardless if it was against her twin and Shaun really doesn’t want to get into this family drama. He was just starting to be able to ignore the Kenway family drama happening with his assistant, damn it! Anyway, Jacob is innocent (of course) and Shaun managed to find the real culprit… only to find out later that Evie had been the one to send that envelope of cash that asks them to take Jacob as their client and… oh. Jacob’s fine. He’s already flirting with Desmond behind Evie as Shaun and her continue to talk. Siiigghhh. (Evie can also be part of the harem if you want)
Okay, so we have a lot of candidates for the job of judge (hell, we can make it different judges as well if you want) and my primary candidates would be the Layla Trilogy main characters: Bayek (who would be fair but also get into the craziness with the look of a tired man that had to deal with a lot of cats one time), Kassandra (she did become Dikastes for a bit in Atlantis) but I think Alexios would fit better because he feels more like the type to get super invested as a bystander in all these court dramas and can make the funniest dumb faces, and Eivor (she was jarlskona). You know who else would be great as a judge? Clay. Clay would absolutely love the chaos. XD

Square Enix has released new information and screenshots for NEO: The World Ends with You, which expands upon previously released details, as well as reveals new character Shoka, returning characters Kariya and Uzuki, and gameplay systems such as “Replay” and “Pins.”
Get the details below.
Rindo (voiced by Paul Castro Jr. in English, Yuuma Uchida in Japanese)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fret (voiced by Griffin Burns in English, Chiharu Sawashiro in Japanese)
Tumblr media
Rindo’s happy-go-lucky classmate and fellow Player in the Reapers’ Game, Fret boasts the ability to get along with just about anyone. While he styles himself as a natural conversationalist, he prefers to keep things light, subconsciously avoiding subjects that are too serious. He enjoys walking around town with his buddy “Rindude.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nagi (voiced by Miranda Parkin in English, Mina Katahira in Japanese)
Tumblr media
Another Player in the Reapers’ Game, Nagi is a college student whose youthful appearance leads others to mistake her for a middle schooler. She is deeply passionate about her pastimes, devoting all of her time and energy to her favorite games. Highly perceptive, she is acutely aware of others’ emotions, and shows disdain toward those she deems superficial and disingenuous.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Minamimoto (voiced by Andy Hirsch in English, Takayuki Fujimoto in Japanese)
Tumblr media
A fellow Player in the Reapers’ Game, Minamimoto puts his impressive psychic powers to use when he saves Rindo and the gang from a tight spot early on, then forces himself onto their team.
He calculates every possible future using his own unique formulas and acts in accordance with the values he discovers, but he remains a mystery to all around him. He seems to have his sights set on something greater than Rindo and the gang.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shiba (voiced by Shaun Conde in English, Daiki Hamano in Japanese)
Tumblr media
Shiba currently ranks number one among the Reapers in the Shibuya UG, having worked his way to the top within a year of his arrival. He also serves as the Game’s Master, arbiter of its rules, and encourages its Players to keep things hot.
His psychic powers far surpass those of his fellow Reapers, ensuring that none dare disobey him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shoka (voiced by Bailey Gambertoglio in English, Akari Kitou in Japanese)
Tumblr media
One of the Reapers in charge of managing the Game, Shoka is less than enthused with her job of monitoring the Players. Having grown bored of the Game in its current state, she not-so-secretly hopes someone will come along and shake things up, showing open disdain toward Players who are slow to learn the rules.
The hoodie she wears is a signature piece from Gatto Nero, a new brand that has recently taken Shibuya by storm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kariya (voiced by Andrew Kishino in English, Anri Katsu in Japanese)
Tumblr media
Despite his veteran status among the Shibuya Reapers, Kariya has no career aspirations, content with working among the rank-and-file Reapers. Though he used to work alongside Uzuki, the two operate separately at present. Never seen without one of his trademark lollipops.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Uzuki (voiced by Kate Higgins in English, Satomi Arai in Japanese)
Tumblr media
Although her mind was once solely focused on getting ahead, Uzuki seems to have outgrown her previous ambition for some reason or another—but her short temper hasn’t changed a bit. She used to work with Kariya, but currently she operates alone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
■ Locations (Updated)
NEO: The World Ends with You takes place in Shibuya, Tokyo. You may recognize some of the landmarks, but the city itself is depicted with an artistic touch unlike anything you’ve seen before.
Explore this wonderfully unique version of Shibuya!
—Spain Hill
Tumblr media
—104 Building
Tumblr media
■ Music
The game’s vibrant soundtrack is provided by Takeharu Ishimoto, who composed music for the previous game.
Not only has he written a slew of new songs, but he has also rearranged familiar tracks from The World Ends with You, including Twister and Calling!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
■ Pins
Tumblr media
Azamaru
Tumblr media
A pin bearing the “Shockwave” psych. Slash at enemies with a flaming sword, then leap into the air before delivering one final hit.
Tumblr media
Angelic Kick
Tumblr media
Activate the powerful “Massive Hit” psych to unleash a swift aerial kick. Fully charge the attack to send your foes flying as well!

Prueba
