There comes a point in your story where your characters, though created by you, become entities of their own. Once out into the public, people create ideas in their minds of these characters based on what was presented. They form ships, they form ideas. They soak in the stories and art like rays of sunlight.

And that’s a beautiful thing.

To have something you created take a life of its own in the hearts of readers, watchers, lovers of art. It’s amazing. The ideas we are able to share, compare and contrast, help bring these stories to life. Am I proud? You bet your ass I am. For every mention of my characters, every interaction, every theory crafted in my comments, a huge smile spreads to my face.

You’re inspired. I’m inspired. You’re enjoying it. I’m enjoying it. That’s what life’s all about. That’s why I create. 💫

As much as a Leosagi kick I have been on, I want to emphasize these GORGEOUS pictures by ashitarimai

These are Splinter being shown at his best and how I like him being portrayed, as a dad to the turtles, not as an awful creature who only sees the guys as weapons (yea that was his first portrayal in the comics but I’m glad they binned that noise) and unfortunately some fanfics also go with the jerkass route for him, so I’m hopeful that this brings some joy to people who want the fatherly version

Every child, biological or adopted deserves a parent who looks at them like that.

Is asking my siblings to respond/react when I send my art in our group chat reasonable?

All I’d be asking them to do it’s leave a thumbs up or heart or say “nice”. I’m not asking them to critique it or anything, just, like, acknowledge it a bit more. At least more often, sometimes they do, but I get a better volume of responses from one singular cousin than I do five siblings and it’s kinda disheartening at times. Maybe part of that is that the cousin is a dm not a gc?

I know them not responding probably isn’t that deep, but even just a thumbs up would mean so much to me. This is something I mentioned in the chat once before, some months ago.

If this gets no feedback it’ll be hilarious and depressing in equal measure

Okay random thing but I'm gonna place every single commission and asked drawing I asked people to do over the days so you all can support them (even though nobody looks at my blog)

First off we got donnie from my AU, leo/blue, cobalt, and jennika (or frida) from @kraang5 who I asked to draw them

Next we got cobalt from @troubleshade / @troublesjunkyard who drew her amazingly I might add.

Then we got my cover art, raph from my AU and cobalt AGAIN by @allyheart707 cover art was amazingly commissioned me and I don't regret a thing!

My friend @dead--------inside (owner) and I (co owner) have this server, it has some pretty cool mods and members as well if I do say so myself

We're pretty chill with rules as well! As long as you don't use heavy NSFW (as most of us are minors:) ) or bully the other members you can really do whatever and everyone is welcome

But overall we're just a growing community to share art and be silly, we also have quite a few silly boys like Them Yorke, the Hamilton cast, Rivers Cuomo ect and on going 👅👅 Feel free to recommend more (once you join 😉)
