Pomni X Ragatha

Animal feature adventure

summary:

Caine decides to gives the whole circus animal features(Jax excluded), Ragatha helps Pomni through a nightmare

One morning Caine chose a more subtle day, he gave everyone in the circus animal features for the day, Ragatha was wandering around when she saw Jax bullying Gangle again, she jumped in and stopped him "Jax! Can you for once, stop bullying Gangle and breaking her comedy masks!" Ragatha said, stopping jax from hurting Gangle further "Oh come on doll face, let me have a little fun" Jax says, rather disappointed

It was quite a while later, Gangle was now fine, Pomni was looking around, anxious as usual as her cat tail swayed slowly, when she saw Ragatha, she went over to her, "H-hi Ragatha" she said rather anxiously "Oh! Hi Pomni! how are you?" Ragatha replied with quite the smile, "I-I'm doing fine, still not used to the whole animal features thing yet but it's fine" Pomni said "I get that" Ragatha said more cheery "So Pomni, do wanna go hang out somewhere?" "um, sure"

an hour later they were in Ragatha's room hanging out and chilling "Hey Pomni, have you ever tried taking your hat off before?" Ragatha asked "No I haven't before" Pomni responded "what if you tried to?" "I don't know Ragatha.. I'm worried it'll hurt when I do..." Pomni replied, sounding anxious and tired, as well as letting out a big yawn, "you okay, Pomni? You seem a bit tired," Ragatha asked, sounding curious and a bit concerned, "yeah, I'm fine Ragatha, just tired, it's been a long day" "that's okay pomni! Do you wanna go grab a blanket from your room and sleep in here tonight?" Ragatha asked, Pomni blushing slightly, "uhm.. s-sure! it'd be nice to have a buddy,"

after a good amount of time the two were now chilling in Ragatha's room, Pomni had set up her little sleeping area on the ground beside Ragatha's bed, while Ragatha sat next to her for now, they were just chatting for a while until the two got tired, and decided to sleep,

a few hours after falling asleep Pomni has quite the nightmare(I know they don't dream but still) and woke up sweating,

Ragatha heard and as a light sleeper, woke up, she got up and walked around her bed to check on Pomni, who was hyperventilating from her nightmare, she sat next to her and began to comfort her, "hey.. hey.. it's okay.. deep breaths.." she said in her calm, motherly tone, after a while she calmed down,

"Do you wanna talk about your nightmare?" Ragatha asked, Pomni shaking her head no, after a while Pomni just couldn't fall back asleep, Ragatha had noticed and leaned to her, "do you wanna sleep up on my bed with me, sweetie?" Pomni had quite the bluch at the pet-name but nodded and hopped up with Ragatha, "Can I try something, Pomni?" Pomni nodded "yeah, sure.. just be careful, okay?" "no problem Pomni,"

Ragatha gently grabbed Pomni's hat and gently pulled it off, and up went two cat ears at the top of her head, Ragatha's dog tail wagged she gently scratched Pomni's head, prompting Pomni to relax and un-tense, she calmed and unknowingly began to purr, which Ragatha found adorable, after a while Pomni ended up falling asleep in Ragatha's lap, Ragatha changed positions and they both fell asleep cuddling,

Basic Description The product of Project Stellar—a secret government operation aiming to perfect Project Shadow—Stellar is a genetic experiment combining the DNA of the Ultimate Life Form and the fastest thing alive. Designed to be a living weapon, Stellar was born in a hidden facility where she would have been raised to be an unstoppable weapon for the military. Thankfully, Shadow the Hedgehog (with help from Rouge the Bat) discovered her existence, destroyed the lab, and rescued her as an infant. Shadow then went on to begrudgingly inform his long-time rival, Sonic the Hedgehog, of their newfound child, seeing as she was technically just as much Sonic's problem as she was Shadow's. From there, the duo (along with help from their friends) raised Stellar as their daughter, sheltering her from the knowledge she was created to be a force of destruction for her masters. Along the way, Sonic and Shadow found themselves truly falling for one another, dissolving the barriers they had placed between one another as rivals, finding new appreciation for each other in their new parental roles.

Stellar herself is a bright, warm-hearted person. She has a strong sense of justice and never shies away from standing up for what is right. She takes after Sonic in personality, always cracking jokes and finding it hard to sit still. Despite this, she inherited Shadow's finesse and ability to plan out her choices, not to mention his abilities to utilize chaos energy. She has a love for figure skating, ballet, and make up (thanks to Auntie Rouge!), but don't let her feminine side fool you, she is not afraid to get her hands dirty! She would love nothing more than to spend her day smashing badniks into the ground with her skates if her dads would let her! Stellar loves both of her parents dearly, but sometimes wishes that they wouldn't be so protective of her. After all, what could they possibly have to be worried about?

The Todd in the Shadows video isn't nearly as polished as Hbomberguy's, but it's so essential for folks like myself who have watched and absorbed James Somerton's misinformation.

I used to watch his videos in the background because hey, I like queer stuff and film analysis. It was the pandemic. I needed something to fill my time. I stopped watching a while back because I got the impression that I could guess what he was going to talk about from the title and thumbnail. I don't need to learn how the Owl House was mistreated by Disney when I was there and saw it happen in real time.

But the fact that I stopped watching ages ago doesn't fix the big problem, which is that this guy spread misinformation and I absorbed it. It's been years, and I remembered what he said anymore. That misinformation is in my brain whether I like it or not. Other's have pointed out that this explains why queer internet discourse is so rancid; this guy has spent the last 6 years giving fake queer history to thousands of viewers. I don't want to spread more of those lies because I can't remember where I heard them from.

Hence the necessity of the video debunking his misinformation. Everyone who has watched his stuff needs a way to clear the gunk from their brains.

the usage of different types of english in elden ring

most human/tarnished NPCs we meet, like rogier, ansbach, and nepheli, use late modern english:

"a sorcerer, as you might have guessed. i'm looking for a little something, here in the castle. when i'm not hotfooting it from the troops, that is." - rogier, first meeting "general radahn. a pleasure to see you, after all this time. but those remains do not belong to you." - ansbach, upon summon for PCR

but older demigods like messmer, ranni, and morgott use early modern english:

"thou'rt tarnished, it seemeth. mother, wouldst thou truly lordship sanction, in one so bereft of light? yet… my purpose standeth unchanged." - messmer, pre-battle cutscene "thou needst not indulge them unduly, but they too wish to appraise thy worth. it hath been a passing long time since a newcomer entered my service, after all." - ranni, after agreeing to serve her

then there are the younger demigods, like miquella, malenia, and potentially melina, who use a later variant of modern english, similar to the tarnished NPCs we speak to:

"if we honour our part of the vow, promise me you'll be my consort. i'll make the world a gentler place." - miquella, post-PCR cutscene "the scarlet bloom flowers once more. you will witness true horror. now, rot!" - malenia, phase 2 transition cutscene

finally, the hornsent NPCs like the hornsent, hornsent grandam, and the hornsent spirits such as the one outside the whipping hut, who use late middle english similar to the english found in shakespeare's sonnets:

"fie, another? ... then, as that woman would surely say, we are in our purposes well aligned. but understand. your kind are not forgiven. the erdtree is my people's enemy. by marika long betray'd, set aflame." - hornsent, first meeting "all your resentment lingers yet... the raw stuff from which i shall surely forge a curse. upon the dastard messmer's head. upon marika's children each and all." - scorched ruins hornsent spirit

i find it interesting how different the usage of english is in the game, and i feel that it can be a hint on how to properly date an individual's occupation in the lands between/land of shadow. the hornsent, being a people much older than many in the lands between, use the most archaic version of english, while the tarnished and younger demigods use a form of english more closely related to our own in the current period. older demigods (and marika herself, as heard from melina's recounts of marika's spoken echoes) use a form of english more closely related to the period of transition from middle english to early modern english.

additionally, another interesting thing to me: mohg is almost certainly nearly the same age as morgott (since they're referred to as twins), yet he speaks a little differently compared to morgott:

"tarnished, thou'rt but a fool." - morgott, post-battle dialogue "dearest miquella. you must abide alone a while." - mohg, pre-battle cutscene

this makes me wonder if it's possible that, assuming that miquella's verbiage is indicative of his younger age in comparison to the older demigods (aka the demigods born before the marika/radagon union), miquella's charm altered mohg's perception enough to also alter his manner of speaking and carrying himself in some way. if his pursuit of finery (dressing in embroidered robes and handling himself with poise, juxtaposing his bestial growls and strength) was mainly done in an effort to fit into miquella's ideal of a consort. of course, mohg could just be as vain as he seems to be all on his own accord, but i find that it's interesting to entertain the idea that even his current state of being was due to miquella's charm.

i'd love to hear what others think about this. i'm not very learned when it comes to english (it's not really my first language), but i find this all very cool to think about.
