You do not know the LENGTHS I went to verify which version of Guile's Theme this is. I literally thought this was some midi cover made by some dude but then I saw this was actually the snes version. But I was like "hmmm the snes version sounds a bit different tho" then I realized that the different versions of street fighter II uses different sound fonts or instruments or whatever. You might be thinking "didnt we already establish that there are different versions of sf2?" ohohohoho I'm not talking about the different console versions no no. I'm talking about shit like super street fighter II turbo or street fight II champion addition, the different versions that were released on the same fucking systems. There are FOUR different versions of street fighter II just on the snes and the arcade version has six! Anyways this is the Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers on the snes released in Japan on June 25, 1994 version goddamnit. The shit I do just to fact check a song that's been meme'd to hell and back.

Meet The Father - Guile HCS

You and your girlfriend, Chris, have been dating for 3 months. After having a conversation with Chris, (and her begging you not to) it was time to meet her father. You've heard her father was frequently away from home since he worked for the air force. For that, you were already well acquainted with her mother, Julia.

You pulled up to the familiar house in the suburbs. After parking your car in the front, you walked up to the door. You were wearing something casual since you were only having lunch with Chris. You rang the doorbell, rolling your shoulders a couple times to lessen the tension. Surely her father can't be that bad, right?

When the door opened, you saw what you thought was Uncle Sam's nephew. A tall man with funny looking blond hair, though, you dare not say so. He looked at you with a stern expression.

"You're my baby's partner? Hm.. The name's Guile. Refer to me as Colonel, scout."

You nod hesitantly. Guile seems so intense. No wonder Chris was so keen on you not meeting him. You enter the house, greeting Julia as you usual do.

When you greet Chris, she pulls you into a hug. As you attempt to kiss her cheek, you hear a deep "ahem." You look up and see Guile staring at you. Never did you think blue eyes would be so intimidating.

"Chris, go help your mother with lunch. Scout, why don't you take a seat."

The way he talked, he sure as hell wasn't asking you to. When you sat down, Guile stayed silent. You weren't sure what to say. You felt a drop of sweat roll down the back of your neck.

"What are your plans after high school? Joining the Military?"

"N-No, sir— I-uh mean Colonel. ahem. Colonel, I was actually planning on going into trade school, Auto Mechanic.."

"You don't look like the type."

Guile stuck his nose up. It's as if he expected nothing better from you. As the silence grew louder, the tension in the room grew as well. Your eyes were glued to the floor.

"How long you and Chris have been dating?"

"3 months, Colonel.."

"Your grades?"

"Straight B's.."

You heard Guile huff. You look at the man, watching him take his comb and combing through his hair. You tap your knees a couple time, rocking back and forth.

"So, you're in the air force. How do you like it?"

"I enjoy it, but I don't often fly anymore. I instruct the new cadets and what not. I would do anything for my country."

After lunch and a mandatory jam-out with Chris, it was time for you to depart. You headed back to your car, her family watching you from the porch. Just before you opened the door, Guile spoke.

"Scout, do you street fight?"

Julia gasped.

"Honey, you said you wouldn't do this!"

Chris grabbed her father's arm.

"Dad, stop!"

You looked at Guile and slowly walked away from your car.

"In my spare time, yeah."

The corner of his mouth curled up into a approving smile. Checking his watch, he steped off the porch.

"Then let's get this mission started."

Sorry for not updating more often everyone.

My house just got a new dog, and I have to watch her until someone comes home to take over. I do see you all in my inbox, so please don’t think I forgot about you.

Also as a life update, I got into my dream school! yippee!🥳 I’m studying to be a Radiology tech, and I start June 1st. I’m going to be doing this for 2 years straight with little to no breaks, so I probably won’t have any time to write for the Street Fighter 6 fandom like I used to.

So for anyone who wants to request anything for SF6, go crazy in my inbox. I’ll answer all of them the best I can until May 31st.

But after that, I will be on Hiatus for 2 years until my program is over. Boo. I’ll still reblog sf6 content on here but I won’t be as active.

Hopefully you all understand.

NOW request what you want ppl. My restriction is don’t request characters outside of SF6 that haven’t been properly introduced yet. Because it takes more time for me to research characters than it does to write them.

//not today because i’ve been filled with RAGE since realizing 6/1 didn’t mean midnight on 6/1, BUT. i am gonna be adding a Street Fighter verse that blends RE and SF so that’ll be fun and exciting. I’m hoping to do so in a way that it can work with RE characters not having to now/have dick all to do with SF. think of, uh, like a hybrid of a BOW and the shit Bison did to Ken in 2 the animated movie :)

Eventually gonna actually put the DBD verse in detail here and maybe try to remember the perks i made for her a billion years ago and promptly forgot to write down. and try to fix the blog up to be easier to see

I get that I'm stepping on the rake for no reason by letting Twitter people annoy me but there's been a persistent posting of "now that Bison is back JP is worthless, he meant nothing, none of the new stories mean anything because Bison is back" the past days and, why? What exactly is Bison doing to warrant this reaction?

Did anyone actually want JP to helm another world-conquering megaplot? Oh my god is he gonna set up a satellite cannon? Should we ring up the Four Kings? Call Colonel William Guile and the G.I Street Fighters again? Come on. He's not being ousted from his role as a main villain, he already played that role for World Tour / the comic. If they do another Story Mode with Bison or another Shadow Falls that's one thing, but everyone's acting like this already happened and already overwrote an existing story. That’s like saying Rashid and Luke and Ed might as well not exist because Ryu is still around. Different characters do different things, none of the SF villains or final bosses have ever been designed to match and replace Bison's status because that's lunacy, when they can get so much more out of just making new villains above or below him. JP is not some unbeatable megavillain and never has been, who wants Another Bison? Let peepaw do his tax fraud in peace. Maybe it could change but as is, this is just a "Holy shit, two cakes!" situation.

My latest collage of possibly the most prominent ships within my works based on Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Double Dragon.

Ryu x Cammy (American Street Fighter AU)

This pairing largely came from the what-if artwork that Akiman did of Ryu and Cammy's son, but beyond that? I do feel the two have quite a lot in common, especially personality-wise. Plus, Cammy actually admires Ryu in canon.

Guile x Chun-Li (American Street Fighter AU)

The idea of this pairing did technically start with Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie where Guile and Chun-Li teamed up to take down Bison and Shadaloo, but because Guile is more or less the main hero of the American SF AU, it just made sense to pair him with Chun-Li.

Even so, they do have great chemistry together in pretty much the entire franchise.

Liu Kang x Kitana (Main Mortal Kombat timeline)

The pairing that John Tobias intended as far back as the development stages of the first MK game where Kitana was planned to appear as a background character named Kitsune. It eventually was integrated into the canon starting with the 1995 MK movie, and to this day, fans wonder when will they have an offspring.

To me, this is like a mix between a classic fairy tale romance and the traditional tale of star-crossed lovers who may or may not be together in the end. Ultimately, I do want to see them settle together.

Johnny Cage x Sonya Blade (Main Mortal Kombat timeline)

This pairing was technically first hinted at in the MK comics by Malibu, but it first got major focus when it was featured in the 1995 MK movie. Since then, it was hinted at in the 3D games, and it eventually became integrated into canon with the NRS timeline where they ended up giving birth to Cassie Cage.

Despite my ups and downs with the relationship as well as how Johnny was often portrayed in later incarnations (mainly the NRS timeline and the Legends animated films), I do feel it can be done well when given to the right people. It's definitely an "opposites attract" dynamic, for sure.

Ryu x Chun-Li (Japanese Street Fighter AU)

Possibly the most popular SF ship, regardless of it not truly being canon. Many fans, myself included, have always wondered if Ryu and Chun-Li would ever hook up.

Even the SF2 manga from 1993 had it to where Chun-Li had romantic feelings for Ryu, so that might have been one of the seeds that planted the idea of them being a thing in our minds. Since then, Capcom have been teasing fans hard over whether or not they will get together.

Both characters greatly admire each other, and they definitely look cute together. I definitely wouldn't mind it being official either.

Liu Kang x Sonya Blade (Alternate Mortal Kombat timeline)

I would say this is my most prominent ship I have done fan work of, despite it not being the most popular out of these, especially when compared to Liutana and CageBlade.

The pairing was first hinted at in the MK novel by Jeff Rovin, but they never attempted to make it canon, or even drop hints of it in later incarnations. Regardless, I do feel it has great fan art and fanfic potential since the two actually have a lot more in common than you would think.

It genuinely helps that both characters respect and admire each other in canon too. I would also say both this pairing and Ryu x Chun-Li just make sense, considering it's the main heroes and the first ladies of both SF and MK.

Billy Lee x Marian Kelly (Console Double Dragon AU)

While Billy is indeed "player 1" of pretty much every DD game, several of the games also had it to where Billy and Jimmy had to fight for Marian (they were also a trio in the River City Girls games, but I digress).

However, it was the DD games for consoles such as NES that established Billy being Marian's true boyfriend, and so, that is ultimately why it's the case in the "Console" DD AU.

Jimmy Lee x Marian Kelly (Arcade Double Dragon AU)

The official artwork for Double Dragon II: The Revenge has it to where Marian is holding on to Jimmy as he and Billy battle the Shadow Warriors, which did sort of imply that Jimmy was Marian's boyfriend.

Since the arcade games never truly explored lore details, I decided to fill in the blanks as well as take some liberties by making Jimmy x Marian a thing. It also helps that Jimmy is the more mature and stoic Lee brother in this AU while Billy fills such a role in the "Console" AU.

There are some other pairings I left out, such as Ken x Cammy, Kung Lao x Li Mei, and Kitana with both Johnny Cage and Kuai Liang (again, as both Scorpion and Sub-Zero), but I would say these are the most prominent ones.
