Jewish Moroccan Henna Brides, Miku and Luka 🩷🩵
I should mention these designs are inspired specifically by a more modern take of the henna outfit, more similar to what my family wore at their henna. Im thinking of drawing a tiny henna miku in a more traditional gown because they are amazing and i almost cry everytime i see one…

Olwë´s back, requested by @laisrinel

Depicting a swan, seaweed, and water at the edges - note that the henna changes, such as to feasts etc, but this is his usual
The more detailed henna on his fingers shows he is of the royal family, whereas a full hand, and arm, of much more detailed henna would mean the bearer was newlywed. The fan flower on his lower back is inspired by the sacred vulture headdress of ancient Egypt and shows his place as a king
The swan symbolizes grace and beauty, as they are known for their elegant movements and smooth feathers. They also symbolise love and fidelity as they swans are monogamous birds that mate for life, making them a symbol of love and loyalty.
The seaweed symbolizes good luck, guidance, and wealth since the sea is filled with hidden treasures. It is believed to be a link between the realm of land and the realm of the sea and can be used to summon spirits that dwell in the deep.
Water symbolizes change, flexibility, and rebirth, just as the tides ebb and flow. Water is said to cure, purify, and provide spiritual insight, whether in the form of a calm stream, a roaring ocean, or a quiet lake, it represents the resilience and strength of life.
