Heartstopper Season 1 is so funny because everyone was presumed straight except for Charlie, and then one by one they all get revealed for the members of the Alphabet Mafia that they are.

On another note, if Nick is so straight why was the immediate leap to "oh he must be gay" instead of "oh he's probably bi". Why do people forget that being attracted to multiple genders is a thing. What if we were all just bi or pan by default and then fine tuned our tastes as we got older. That would be an awesome society I think, much funnier than this one

Question once again pops up, am I bi or do I just have trauma around men where I think I owe them sex as a defense mechanism? Do I immediately default to sex being my thoughts when around men because I'm attracted to them, or is it a trained response from a childhood of being hyper sexualised. Do I actually want to have sex with them or do I just think I'll be safe if I do?

Yep. And then a few years later, I tried to imagine having sex with someone of my gender. Not interested. I must be straight. Our culture is so fucking heteronormative that it literally did not occur to me that imagine having sex with someone of the opposite gender. Until another few years later. Cue my shock when I discovered I really didn't want to have sex with them either. I must just be shy. A few years later I came to the conclusion that I was not just shy and just really didn't want to have sex. One year later...asexual.

in honor of ace week id like to shoutout every asexual who first thought they were bi/pan because they looked at all the genders and felt no difference and zero is equal to zero so they said “huh. must be bisexual” and then shoved their sexuality back under the rug for 3-5 years
