Heartstopper Season 1 is so funny because everyone was presumed straight except for Charlie, and then one by one they all get revealed for the members of the Alphabet Mafia that they are.

On another note, if Nick is so straight why was the immediate leap to "oh he must be gay" instead of "oh he's probably bi". Why do people forget that being attracted to multiple genders is a thing. What if we were all just bi or pan by default and then fine tuned our tastes as we got older. That would be an awesome society I think, much funnier than this one

Question once again pops up, am I bi or do I just have trauma around men where I think I owe them sex as a defense mechanism? Do I immediately default to sex being my thoughts when around men because I'm attracted to them, or is it a trained response from a childhood of being hyper sexualised. Do I actually want to have sex with them or do I just think I'll be safe if I do?

Really is fun how in other Dragon Age games bi companions were often written to not talk about past same-sex relationships (sometimes unless they’re being romanced in a Gay way (see for example: Anders discussing Karl)), while in Veilguard I’ve gotten banter from nearly every single companion about their past gay loves.

Frequent reminders that they’re not “Playersexual,” but textually and canonically queer!! It’s refreshing.

listen. this may sound like a reach but I don’t think house’s eagerness to go to the lesbian bar with thirteen was fetishistic glee. because like. okay. straight men love lesbians. but it’s only ever in a “conventionally attractive porn stars making out”, “I’ll pay these 2 strippers to kiss” sort of way, not exactly in the sense that they like to surround themselves with regular, real life sapphics. in fact, most hetero men despise the lesbians they meet in real life because they see them as either unattainable or unappealing disappointments to their fantasies. now, listen. house isn’t stupid, it’s not like he thought thirteen was gonna let him in on some hot girl-on-girl voyeuristic action, and he certainly knew he wasn’t about to get laid himself at a bar of ALL WLW. he’s an overconfident perv, sure, but not the kind who thinks he can ‘convert’ a gay gal, nor would he even desire to. the damn patient of the week is a guy who tried to ECT himself straight, which house obviously doesn’t believe is reasonable (this episode also gave us the shot where both house & thirteen are shown making a face in response to “I’m as straight as any of you!”)

with all of this laid out, you kinda have to assume that he was excited about the bar for another reason. dare I say it was simply… the joy of existing in a queer space as a queer person?
