Michael doesn't like sewing obviously, he doesn't get the appeal other than the damage you could cause with the sharp needle/ the presser foot he guess.

But damn he loves your sewing products even if it looks like he glanced at it one time for a second, he thinks they're so cute and especially since you made it all for him?? And him specifically???

One day you took a large amount of your time and made a mini him with a mini knife and he looked pissed off but inside he was pleasantly surprised and pleased and from then on he took it everywhere with him inside his breast pocket.

He witness you having problems with your idea one time and just silently watched you struggle cause he doesn't know what to do either and then walked away after you finally found out how to fix it. It's weird but ig that's his way of looking after you. (he came back an hour later to see what you made even though it might just be halfway done.)

He thinks the hobby itself is a waste of time but takes it back when you gift him cool ass clothings or toys with it. (he totally still thinks it a waste of time, it's just cooler when you do it.)

Your dad doesn't approve of sharp things that could danger YOU but if its for self defense he can let it pass. Although he thinks it's unnecessary. (you have him, why would you need weapons?)

But he approves when he realises they keep you safe. But he thinks they look hideous.

He's never really thought of sewing before but it did pique his interest when he saw you doing it one day. He did find your sketching notebook and grew fond of your imagination.

I think Jason's clothes do become very worn out and so you did your best to make a new one for him (which you got from dead victims) and made him a big long sleeved shirt which consisted of forest green, coffee brown and other nature and earthy colors. He was so proud of you, his little kid. :,)

But he likes anything you make, really.

If you're struggling with something you have to find out in your own. Because I don't know where you can look anything up online or any technology in a place such as where Jason lives. But Jason will support you to the best of his abilities.

And oh, if you make any matching articles of clothing for the both of you he will be over the moon. Like matching bear bucket hats or matching patterned pants. He thinks it'll be a great way to let outsiders others know that you two have a connection with each other. (yk, like relation? Family relation?? Idk)

He loves the little small things you can make, like a sewn cat or animal and make it look like a key chain.

If you make a mini him, he might just cry. If you make a mini him and you holding hands like a parent / child way he'll definitely cry. He never even dreamed of such luxury. He's just engulfing you while hugging you like. "oh you precious thing, *sob*"

Hannibal noticed your hobby of sewing after a while of living with him/ visiting you before he took you in (?). He finds the hobby quite adorable and pretty useful. He would love to see your creations after you're done with them.

He may or may not snoop around your sketchbook and act as if nothing happened if you almost catch him.

He compliments whatever you make but gives constructive criticism when needed. And sometimes he looks too deep in what your sewn products are and what they might mean. 💀

this man gets so enthusiastic and happy when you want to make custom clothes for him like ong, a suit made from love from his child and made exactly to his liking?? What could he ask for more? He happily just stands there while you take his measurements.

He occasionally checks up on you while you sew, and although he prefers when you two are in the dinner table together, he won't mind having a meal or two alone. Atleast you eat.

Hannibal acknowledges your errors, not in a bad way but in a way where he sees it as learning process and is very proud of you when you've successfully completed your work.

Talking about sewing, you already know about the kinda expensive shit he gets for you according to your taste. They just seem very valuable no matter how you make them look.

Do it, make matching suits (or yours a dress, however you like it) for the both of you. He has this sick ass introduction where he introduces you as his teenage child and you look like those cool parent & child team in action movies/shows.

Safe to say the both of them thought sewing was boring and takes up too much of time but that wasn't much after they met you.

You literally make their ghostface costumes.

They both love seeing what sorts of things you can make from a lump of small pieces of clothing and a needle/machine. They totally asked you to sew custom clothes for them. (Billy was a bit of an asshole but agreed to give you money because of stu) they couldn't have been happier with the result.

They think sewing is so cool now. And if you make a ghostface / mini them, that's it. Sewing is officially their favourite thing even if they don't do it. They have it on almost every single day.

Billy and stu probably tried to flex on Sidney and Tatum on the things you make for them and they were mildly concerned at the ghostface thing.

Billy will loudly look through your sketchbook in front of you, even though there's nothing to be ashamed of, it's like someone looking through your unfinished drawing sketchbook. (artists can relate.) stu will try to be a but sneaky but fails and goes along with Billy.

These men have no shame, and will proudly and confidently boast about what you make and how good you make it in front of random ass people you don't even know. Even when you're really embarrassed and telling them to stop.

These men will like anything you make and don't really have much to complain about. So they'll give a genuine thumbs up on pretty much anything.

They think the pin cushion is hilarious but make it horror themed and they'll think it's cool. They have no problem with you and dangerous objects and they think this is great for self defense.

i had a lot of fun and i did not drink!

i actually made a bunch of new friends, had a lot of fun taking pictures and posing for pictures, got absorbed by a group of 20 yr olds who thought i was the same age as them LMAO (it was masks required/we were all in cosplay so we didnt realize ages until i asked), hung out w a work friend + her new bf + his friends, met a guy who prints stickers!! traded some IGs, bought lots of art stickers, and did a kendo panel which was very fun.

overall it made me really miss being into cons like i used to be. the last con i went to was like.... really bad. it was shortly after my stepfather was killed in a car crash and my entire life had been turned upside down. like weeks after. and the two girls i went with were just awful to me. just no empathy or understanding for me whatsoever. to be ignored and excluded and have people be upset at you for being sad/cranky/tired/not always 100% ready to party lmao....

i kinda stopped going after that bc it was so aggressively unfun. it also kinda made me hate a lot of the anime they were weirdly obsessed w, and be turned off from nerd/geek culture in general.

i kinda fell off the anime train entirely but i’ve been picking up manga again. i like sewing and crafting so i really wanna get back into cosplay!! i need to learn how to pose fr. being in my 30s i also feel like i have different characters available to me now. makima + naruto’s mom were really fun cosplays lol i am gonna keep both of these costumes on hand but i def wanna get contacts for makima. i wanna go to a few of the cons around here and idk im just super excited !! also i didn’t really feel the need to drink at all while i was there. so that was cool

5- what sports did you use to play before you became unable to? thanks for asking! so most recently i was doing karate (best sport ever btw its soooo goooood) and before that i climbed for a few years like preferrably top-rope & on real rock and before that idk a little bit of basketball and more relevantly street-soccer like the 3 vs 2 and the goal posts are jackets type. very important. i also used to jog idk. hard to imagine that now but runners high made it fun tbh. oh and i guess skating counts as a sport? both ice skating and inline skating. i grew up having a skateboard too but it was kinda meh. i used to have a bike too but that was always more a tool than a hobby to me.

I got a job at the marina so I’m trying to save up enough until I go to college! It’s a nice restaurant and the people there are cool, I’ve almost cried like 4 times tho bc I get stressed really easily 😭 I’m hoping I can save up enough to get a sewing machine soon hehe there’s fits and stuff that’d I wanna make. Also I found out I’m actually a Virgo rising!! I’m kinda glad because it’s like the only earth placement in my chart and all of that water with nothing to balance it out was stressing me out LMAO. allow me to rant about the only thing that has been in my brain for the past two months and that is doll customizing babeyyyyy

i know there’s a 90% chance that you wont give a Shit about any of this but here we go anyways

SO first you gotta choose a doll. preferably one with a high range of motion to avoid creating new joints or having annoying limitations like not having elbow joints for some fucking reason. what the fuck mattel. give monster high dolls back their ball jointed shoulders and elbow joints. smh

the most common dolls ive seen used as bases are monster high and ever after high. most customs ive seen are highly stylized so the stylized face molds work well for those types of dolls but dolls like barbies are good for when you want a more realistic face-ups.

once you’ve got your base picked out you gotta wipe that bitch’s face off with like. acetone or nail polish remover or something strong like that. you can also use acetone to shrink doll heads which is cool as hell imo. n e way once the face is wiped you gotta chop off the hair and remove the hair plugs from the inside. ive seen this done several ways but the easiest and most common way ive seen is to dunk the head into boiling water for ~30 seconds until it gets squishy and malleable. once you’ve got the head back, you can use pliers (i think tweezers would work in a pinch) to pull out the hair plugs which are kinda icky because theyre covered in glue and other gross shit. ew

now you must decapitate the doll. dunk em back in the boiling water to soften them back up then just tug the head off. the neck pegs look funky and are usually a different color than the body so thats cool ig

once the head’s off, you can start the face-up which is basically just giving the doll a new face using stuff like watercolor pencils, acrylic paint, gouache, and a whole lot of other stuff. hell ive seen people use person makeup on these dolls.

next,,,,, hair. there’s about twenty million ways to do hair from gluing yarn wefts to sewing to rerooting with purchased nylon doll hair or yarn wefts but i’m gonna talk about the most common one ive seen which is rerooting and gluing.

before you can reroot, you need doll hair. which, as i mentioned, can be bought at stores like the doll planet or made at home with yarn in literally any color. have fun with it! make rainbow hair or something idk

to make homemade wefts, you take some acrylic yarn, cut it twice as long as you want the hair to be (keep in mind you can cut and style the hair once it’s been rerooted), fold them in half, and tie it to something sturdy like a wire coat hanger for the next step.

once you’ve got your yarn tied to your hanger, use a pet brush and brush the yarn until it’s wispy and looks like hair. then take a straightening iron and iron the weft flat. then remove from the hanger and boom. hair wefts. ta-da

to reroot the wefts onto the head, use a rerooting tool (which can be as simple as a needle with the eye cut at angle) (just google it please i’m shit at descriptions)) to poke small sections of the hair into the head. you can use the pre-existing rooting holes for your own reroot as they’re usually pretty reliable. to reroot, take a small length of you doll hair (about 10-15 strands), loop it in half, and put the middle of the loop into the reroot tool. poke the end of the tool with the hair on it into the pre-existing hole and remove the tool. the hair *should* stay in and fill up that plug!! also remember to plug thickly at the hairline and part of the hair where it's most noticeable. it doesnt matter as much in the center of the head as that’s not usually visible on the doll. once you’ve rerooted, squeeze in strong glue through the neck hole and squish around the head to make sure it covers all the plugs and secures them in place. then pour hot water onto the head to make the hair lay flat for styling later.

also, you can reroot yarn directly into the head to make thicker, more textured hairstyles. and since the yarn is thicker, you dont need to glue the inside of the head for the hair to stay in place!!

if youre not doing body modifications (which are also cool as hell) then it’s time for clothes but clothes are boring and i like body mods more so i’m gonna rant about them instead

the material ive seen most doll artists use is apoxie sculpt, which is like play doh on steroids. it comes in two parts which you gotta mix together for some reason. why dont they sell it pre-mixed. what was the reason. also once it’s dry it’s super super strong and you can sand it, drill into it, paint it, and all kinds of stuff. very nice and i want some for myself.

you can use hand saws and drills and shit to whack off doll limbs to make stuff like digitigrade legs or new joints. also dont be afraid to use other mismatching doll parts when customizing like heads and bodies and forearms and hands and shit. it literally does not matter if youre gonna recolor the doll anyways so have fun with it. make frankenstein’s doll if youre feeling spicy

accessories my beloved. stuff like tiny beads and clay baubles and shit will literally transform the entire doll plus they’re adorable and multi-purpose

i suppose i must talk about clothes now. ah well. you can find great clothing patterns if youre new to customizing on other customizer’s etsy shops and probably google although those will probably be lower quality than paid pattern pieces. and keep in mind that if it exists as clothing irl, you can likely make it doll-sized. there are literally no limits to your clothing options as long as you can execute your idea.

the once all your components have been made, you can assemble the doll again!! and finally see what all the parts look like together!! very cool 10/10 stars.

little did you know that dolls have been one of my favorite things since like ever. if i can read a 25 chapter long fanfic i can read this B)

mattel definitely fucked up by completely ruining MH doll designs and just stopping EAH, alot of their profits most likely came from people who collect and customize dolls and by changing MH doll designs/Stopping EAH dolls they 1. most likely lost a small (or big if we're not jus talking people who customize dolls) part of their profit and 2. made it harder for doll customizers to make dolls/get commissions out rather quickly because they probably have to waste more time making joints or learning how to make joints.

EAH/MH dolls (specifically MH dolls) had AMAZING MODELS because there was so much variety with height, face shapes, etc (my favorite molds had to be the short/tall dolls and the cat molds because of the tails) and doll customizers really went all out with enhancing a molds unique features. The only "downside" abt MH dolls is that they (or atleast most)(from what i remember)) had slimmer faces but wider eyes while EAH dolls have wider faces with slimmer smaller which left a canvas for the face and not the eyes (and vice versa for MH dolls)

I've never seen any videos where a barbie is customized (maybe because i absolutely despised barbies at the time) so I'll definitely have to check those out but they seem to be good for realistic makeovers. I've seen like like semi realistic makeovers for EAH/MH dolls that were pretty good too tho (pretty sure mostly EAH dolls since yk MH dolls were used for creature makeovers while most EAH dolls weren't)

yeah i was always amazed by the head shrinking with acetone. honestly i still am?? idunno i have no idea how that chemical bullshit works. Ive seen a few of uh makeovers that just pain over the face (in multiple layers ofcourse) but that's usually when they're painting the entire body a different colour (again usually when they're turning a doll into a funky little baby man). I've also seen a few that just chop the hair off and take out the hair plugs yk without uuh like softening the head or just go straight for the hair plugs after taking off the head (i used to do that it was funny to me??). i always really liked when they used watercolour pencils or just colour pencils in general to draw/sketch on the face cause like wow ur drawing on ur doll without ruining it?? kinda epic maybe even poggers and pogchamp?? oh god my brain is failing wjshsmsj.

Watching them putting the hair back on the doll was, other than the face stuff, was the BEST part for me. Favorite type of hair was iuuuuuh was either thick yarn or brushed out yarn. Literally worship the people that would reroot the hair, theyre the most patience people on this earth!! it's literally insane but i guess that's what happens when you've been doing that for years? you guess kinda get used to it. when they put glue into the head does it just become stiff?? like it's just a clump of dried glue or does it like..hollow out again??

dude you literally cannot convince me most of the supplies used for doll makeovers. APOXIE CLAY LOOKS SO FECKING GOOD. its edible and i will die on that hill. The body mods are literally so amazing!!!!! it's so impressive how theyre able to imagine certain features THEN LIKE ACTUALLY MAKE IT LOOK ACCURATE TO WHAT THEY WANTED TO LOOK LIKE AFTER LIKE ON TRY (or many yk trial and error is very necessary for..everything). Absolutely loved when doll customizers would saw off a dolls legs and use different ones or just completely get rid of the torso to use a different one. it's like uuh that one big guy that's mismatched and sewn together. very cool. The accessories are so fun!! just small little details you seen really need but can add because it's your feckin doll!! I used to be absolutely obsessed over the doll clothes i would find on etsy, so much so that i started sewing shitty shirts and dresses for my uh "customized" dolls (they were absolute HORRORS idk WHY my mom let me feck up my dolls like that).

She was born in Parlermo in the 1920s but her family moved to america when she was very young so she has no memory of her old home :/ They weren’t very well off in sicily and that didn’t change when they moved, her parents worked shitty jobs with low pay so they didn’t have much & lived in some ugly little apartment in little italy with their three kids... Lucia had to take care of her brothers most of the time because her parents both worked.. and was usually the one who had to beat the other kids’ asses when they got into trouble with any of them 😒 She spent most of the free time she had studying and doing things for school so she could get a proper job and wouldn’t end up like her parents or whatever

What’s their family like?

Her parents like I said are both from Sicily.. her dad is a mechanic and mostly worked in some little garage. The earning wasn’t that bad for the time but he made a few debts to the bank (and other people trying to pay those off) in the 1930s so you know :/ Her mom worked part-time in some random store lol.. they loved her obviously but they were very strict and had a billion expectations while also not really being around enough. They do support her trying to do well in school, mayyyyybe also going to college and all that but still expect her to get married instead of pursuing a career in the end so she can become a proper housewife 😒  She also has two younger brothers, Antonio and Frank.. they’re closer and like i said... Lucia is the cooler older sister who beats up the other kids who mess with them. They don’t have much lore but.. they exist..

Just like Mia, she’s Vito & Joe’s friend from childhood.. dumb teenage antics that end after high school and they grow apart while Vito is in the army and Joe does... crime things. She’s just doing her own thing until the like 2 months where Vito isnt in prison.. where she has to drive his ass home after he & Joe robbed that one jewelry store :^) also they all meet up again in 1951, life is good for 3 months

Some crappy little apartment complex in Westside except her apartment looks nice 😌 it’s nothing fancy but it’s cozy and nice, lots of books lying around (there’s a system to it according to her), some old furniture mixed with new mid-century style ones. Her childhood friend group that I mentioned, consisting of Vito, Joe and Mia :) They all lived in the same crappy neighborhood and went to school together.. Apparently Joe was the neighborhood bully whch is funny as hell to me but also. Lucia got into his “gang” when he picked on her little brother and she threatened to beat his ass.. meanwhile Vito actually had to do that to get into their group lmao. They met Mia like two years later in church and all became friends when Lucia helped her out in school 😳 She’d definitely consider Mia her best friend, they still hung out after their little friend group fell apart :(

She’s also friends with Giuliana and by association Henry (not really she just hears about him from like everyone)

godd obviously she wasn’t the one who started shit but she gladly went along with whatever stupid bullshit the others were doing. She’s supposed to be the responsible smart one or something but she’s not... she’s the one who causes more trouble to help the others somehow 😌 Shoplifting antics

She started being responsible after graduating high school when her parents told her to do something with her life so she’s like... “time to stop hanging out with criminals and focus on college...”. she really misses it though :(

Ahem.... she and Vito.... Childhood friends to lovers 😌 they were just friends in high school & she thought she’d never see him again after he got arrested but she does in 1945. Then he gets arrested again :)) Uhh she probably briefly dated a few people during that time but nothing ever came out of it. They get together in 1951 though but i cant talk about my mafia ships here or I’ll combust. They also probably have kids idk yet.. they look like kids people

She trusts..... her friends. and her brothers. Doesn’t really look up to her parents though because that’s exactly what she doesn’t want to be :(

ah, thank you and let’s just have a moment of silence for all whose hearts have been shattered by their bros... i get what you mean about it sounding the best on stage/live when it’s kinda heavy on the auto-tune but they’re all just cool like that haha ah yes, interior is good but my prof for it changed and she is not so good, fashion design is super duper hard for me because i can’t cram stuff but my prof for that doesn’t give us full points for a question unless it’s printed as is from the book ;-; but yeah i like learning new stuff and interior is pretty interesting since i’ve always been interested in it and they do teach us about managing homes alongside it too! so very useful currently and for the future. fashion is harder because we have to make clothes and sew stuff and learn a crazy amount of sewing techniques and types and i’m not interested in that at all but ig it’s kinda handy too in a way. since i wanted to keep psych the admin said that there were two options, opt for sciences and become a clinical psychologist or keep arts and study two other subjects the first part and your actual subject the second, and if i opted for that i’d become a therapist; which is what i wanted to do! the difference is that clinical psychologists can be considered as therapists too but they also diagnose people and give them medication to treat it & therapists basically listen to you then give you advice/use talk therapy only! law school sounds fun! i mean it also seems pretty hard and nerve-wracking from what i’ve read about it but it also does depend on what career you want to pursue in it too so what do you wanna become? a prosecutor, judge, attorney or jury etc? - 🍉

ugh ikwym sometimes professors can suck the life and love out of a class :/ esp if they don’t encourage expression like your prof only allowing “from the book answers” that’s so dumb! but that’s so cool how you’re learning managing homes and sewing! v true those will be a skills that will always be helpful in the future!

yeah law school has a HUGE drop out rate for a reason!!! it’s super tough! my friend who’s done a year of it told me it’s academically the toughest thing she’s ever done! i ... don’t really want to be any of those ajskdjsk i want to work as a chief of staff for a state representative or senator! like work for the office of an elected official! i worked as an legislative aid intern in uni and it was soooo much fun and i grew to absolutely love it! basically i want to do legal research and write bills!
