tumblr ocd advice is kind of astounding bc youll see posts like "OCD LIFE HACK!!!!! if you have [obsession] try [compulsion]" and people are passing it around like its genuine advice and not literally the worst possible thing you could do in that scenario
#yeah#im gonna write my story to the best of my ability and it will piss people off because they'll think its problematic#and maybe there will be subconscious racist bias in it or i'll hit some stereotype i didn't even know existed#but the other options are not writing or writing only about white people#and lmao im not gonna do that so yeah idk#i already scrapped the previous project whon i realized the racist and colonialist implications#which i was right about btw. & i dont know enough to write about (post) colonialism#and the subject upsets me too much to research it.#so i changed the setting and started fresh and i dont regret it its going well#and anyway its gonna be a really good story and its important that it exists 👍#i dont even know any perfect stories to negatively compare it to. its probably already less problematic than one of my favorites: homestuck#so yeah i think its ok to write something flawed i think its the only way to write
