yk when you see someone share a finished handmade item that they clearly spent a lot of time and money on and it's just. The absolute tackiest thing you have seen in your life. And then you ask yourself why someone would waste all those resources on such an eyesore.

(no, of course you can't relate to that because you're a much nicer person than me)

In any case.

BEHOLD!

A wool coat!

The top fabric is handwoven and handspun, the whole thing is sewn by hand, too.

Leftovers. Barely anything, all things considered, which is very satisfying.

This thing took me well over 3 years to make, on and off. And now I'm done.

Sewed Up Heart

[ID: A Trigun comic done in grayscale with red accents. First, an anatomical heart gushes blood, forming a puddle which shifts into Vash's coat. Vash's gloved hands can be seen sewing up a tear at the hem.

Vash raises his hands, which are now bare and covered in blood. He looks sweaty and distressed, and he raises his coat to his face and cries into it. His clenched hands rip the sewed portion apart, and the red thread leads to a heart whose own stitches are tearing apart. The background gets darker and darker, and the red looks brighter and starker against it.

Then the background returns to white, and brown-skinned hands using embroidery scissors snip a red thread. Wolfwood holds up Vash's repaired coat, grinning proudly, and does a happy thumbs-up in Vash's direction. Vash lifts his head, seeming distant.

Wolfwood holds out the coat. As Vash puts out his hand to take it, the cloth is replaced so Wolfwood is dropping a sewed-up heart in Vash's hand. Vash rubs the coat against his face with a teary smile. End ID] ID CREDITS

Opened stormbringer to check how corruption was described there (it was actually both black particles and red marks) BUT saw this instead and aughhh blehhhhh throwing up

Dazai seeing Chuuya's corrupted form for the first time and softly going on about how this whole thing actually isn't a disgrace at all,,,

Every time i see Dazai looking at Chuuya in corruption he does some gay sht like have you seen how he stares at Chuuya in chapter 31. This man is so down bad. He's holding a knife to John's throat but is still looking at Chuuya with some stupid puppy eyes. I hate him sm. Cried. Threw up.

If we see corruption in manga again, all i ask for is more of this typa Dazai, please Asagiri,, please Harukawa

I'm honestly so pleased how my 1760s coat mockup is looking after the first round of alterations. The pleats are behaving nicely, the silhouette is gorgeous and the sleeves afford me a full range of movement. Very promising!
