Rewatching Adventure Time, I can't help but think so much Princess Bubblegum discourse would be non-existent if people actually watched the show to completion instead of randomly hyperfocusing on some of PB's bad deeds.

There's a very bizarre and commonly held belief that Princess Bubblegum did terrible things and got away with it, that nobody held her accountable. When the show makes a point, repeatedly, that Princess Bubblegum is well meaning but deeply flawed, and to some characters, straight up evil.

I see fans point to "The Cooler" a lot as proof that PB is an irredeemable character, and while it is her worst act in the entire show.... I think people forgot that that was the point. Near the end of the episode she stops spying on people in Ooo because it was an invasion of privacy. In another episode she's called out for exploiting some aliens and lets them go. She feels ashamed that her own people are terrified of her. She loses her entire kingdom, and realizes she needs to get her shit together.

I'm pretty critical of shows that are way too lenient on flawed female characters but Princess Bubblegum isn't one of them. She's awesome, and heavily misunderstood.

it’s the imola gp and everyone’s traveling to italy early, even you, and with a few days to spend relaxing, alex invites you to play golf with him, lily and charles. everything seems to be going well. until it’s not. so, your friends take it upon themselves to make it work out.

03. THE DRAMA

it’s been almost a month since you and charles kissed and things have been going great. until an interview, an ex and a friend make things a little awkward.

04. THE CLIFFHANGER

who said dating was easy? things are getting in the way of yours and charles happiness, so, now it’s time to talk about what’s happening, and see if your relationship can be saved. but charles is not making it easy.

the rain poured down relentlessly, shrouding camp half-blood in a misty veil. as the thunder rumbled in the distance, there was a knock at your door, sharp and urgent. startled, you hurried to answer it. standing on your doorstep, soaked to the bone but with a determined gleam in his eyes, was leo valdez.

"leo?" you gasped, hardly daring to believe your eyes. "but... but you're supposed to be... you were..."

"dead?" he finished for you, a wry smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "yeah, i know. it's a long story, y/n, but i had to come back. i had to come back to you."

your heart somersaulted in your chest as you took in the sight of him, alive and well against all odds. without a second thought, you threw your arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace.

"i thought i'd lost you," you whispered, your voice muffled against his chest.

leo held you close, the warmth of your presence chasing away the chill of the rain. "you'll never lose me, y/n," he murmured, his breath tickling your ear. "i've been wanting to tell you something for a long time, and now that i'm here, i can't keep it in any longer."

you pulled back slightly, gazing up at him with wide eyes. "what is it?"

with a steadying breath, leo reached up to cup your face in his hands, his fingers trembling ever so slightly. "i love you, y/n," he confessed, his voice raw with emotion. "i've loved you for as long as i can remember, and being away from you only made me realize it more. you're everything to me, and i can't imagine my life without you."

tears welled up in your eyes, blurring your vision as you struggled to process his words. "leo, i… i love you too," you whispered, your voice catching in your throat. "i never stopped loving you, even when i thought you were gone."

with that, leo leaned down and pressed his lips to yours in a kiss that spoke volumes, a promise of a future filled with love and adventure.

tonight I'm thinking about dean showing up in the pilot with a baby girl in the backseat of the impala, maybe from a one night stand or something. mom's not in the picture. dean's been raising her on his own on the road. sam and john have no idea until he just shows up with a 6 month old chewing on her hand strapped to his chest. sam and dean have to learn how to be together again as siblings or maybe more AND learn how to raise a child together.

going about the end of the world with a four year old. oh and of course they'd raise her in the life bc of how many sons of bitches are out there wanting to grab a hold of her, use her against the boys to get them to do what they want.

towards the end of the series she's been to hell and back (literally) and dealing with becoming a teenager. more specifically, middle aged dean and sam DEALING with a teenager and all her angst.
