Idk I had this idea and thought it’d be cute. Since the clones are supposed to have round cheeks, visualize live action and not animated 😂

99 is the best vode, he knows everything. If a brother is said, he’ll hug them, give words of encouragement and stuff and a mysteriously some illegal contraband that whatever the clone likes will randomly show up.

Shaak ti is buff and can hold her own if not demolish the Alphas on the training mats (The Rancor battalion found that out the hard way)

Jek, Rys and Thire became close after the mission with Yoda, Thire is still close with the commanders on Coruscant, but he’s even closer with the other two

While Hound may be a sergeant, he’s still an honorary commander member, he became the little brother of the group

…Thorn didn’t die on Scipio, nope, no way. Amidala saved him, always carrying a blaster or smth.

Dogma became really good at braiding hair because of all the time he braided Tups hair, so after Umbara when he definitely goes to Coruscant, Amidala finds out and sometimes ask him to do her hair.

Colt may essentially be Buir of Kamino, but all the alphas (especially 17) out Buir him, and it can be very comedic how a big burly alpha is hauling a ARC commander just to force them to sleep.

Fox absolutely denies or threaten to black mail shebse squad if they bring up the fact Fox was the first to fold and call Alpha-17 buir.

Colt and Wolffe have regular holo-calls just to shit talk Ventress.

Rex got adopted into Shebse squad after he bit Cody (Wolffe was proud)

When Kix is on shift in medbay, most of the time Jesse is there with him, he doesn’t have to be their but he’s a good batch mate.

Each shebse squad member have a quirk in fighting droids: Cody punches and spin kicks them, Wolffe bits them, Rex throws his blasters at them if they run out of ammo, Fox for some reason carry’s a high voltage taser, Bly drop kicks them, and Ponds throws rocks at them to catch them off guard

On multiple occasions animals like Loth cats and Tookas have been snuck on board the venators and multiple times have had to been taken off board

Fives has a girly scream, Torrent found out after he was caught singing in the barracks

Comet (and Plo Buir) can convice Wolffe to take care of himself (little brother privileges), unlike Boost, Warthog, and Sinker who have to sedate him of physically haul him away from the bridge

MEDICS GIVE STICKERS, if a your a good patient, you get a sticker. So there is a lot of vode with stickers inside or outside there armor

Colt keeps himself loaded with weapons, many different types of blasters, check. Lots of vibroblades and vibroswords (that he stole from commando droids), check. It will take a solid 10 mins for him to de-weapon himself

after Khorm, Plo threatened Captain Ozzel…. It was terrifying, Kit Fisto was both shocked and absolutely scared of getting on Plo Koons bad side.

Monnk collects different shells and rocks from the ocean floor and give them to different vode

kit fisto taught his battalion how to fish, just randomly, out of the blue he said they were going fishing and they went fishing

Ashoka definitely stole the ‘I’m no Jedi’ line from Rex.

everyone form the 212th and some 501st members were more traumatized by a bold Kenobi than the fact he faked his death to be a bounty hunter for a time period

kix has trouble staying warm after the cyro-freeze, like he’ll be bundled up in layers on tatooine

quinlan snuck into fox’s office once and was hit with a data pad on the head when he scared him and got himself a concussion, safe to say he doesn’t sneak up on fox anymore

clones have a sweet tooth

Once Hound got hurt while chasing a suspect and Grizzer went absolutely feral on the person who hurt him, it took Thorn and Stone just to separate him from the suspect, (fox and thire were just watching in shock as they helped hound)

padawans always use vents for travel (ex. Echo: where’s the commander. Fives casually: oh she’s in the vents. Echo: oh.. WHY IS SHE IN THE VENTS)

(Might be in the other one) The corrie guard have a bet everytime a battalion is on leave, the bet is: which members of what battalion will have the most in the drunk tank.

medics have to have a smex-ed meeting with every new shiny that boards

Bly (respectfully, cause he is a gentleman) asked Aayla to wear armor, the next day she was wearing Bly’s spare armor. Bly couldn’t stop blushing the whole day and it made his tattoos orange

When one or more of the Shebse squad is on leave, they bully fox into going to 79’s with them or to take care of himself. Safe to say, that whenever that happens the corrie guard can relax a bit

the most annoying patients for medics is any CO or jedis, all medics curse like sailors

when Kix was a medic shiny he hadn’t yet mastered the disapproval stare or the ‘shut the kark up and do what I say’ stare, so the vode listened to him just because it was so cute and funny, they quickly learned to stop thinking like that.

once after a battle Obi-Wan found Cody lying star fished on his back, he kicked a droid and broke his foot and collapsed once his foot gave out. Obi-wan just sighed, forced healed his foot a bit and carried him to the medics (Cody was turned into a sputtering and flustered mess)

Rex was already being corrupted by Skywalker’s tendencies when he was just a lieutenant in the 212th, Cody was horrified and wanted to bash his head into the wall.

Boil and Waxer secretly adopted Numa after Ryloth, each just co-parenting her

Kids on coruscant would sometimes come up to a guard member and hand them a paper of a drawing, ask for a hug, or just give them goodies. The guard now has a wall full of drawings given to them by kids in the barracks

the guard have stupid names for operations, it’s just a serious op about observing and trying to take down a drug ring (with vos’s help) and it has a name like “operation: too high to fly”

the cadets will hang off from any limb they can reach of their clone trainers and shaak ti

medics will lay on a cot with an injured clone on it to help them sleep, they’ll either be sleeping with them or doing data work

I just need opinions on how you think any of the 501st men or Clone-Force 99 would handle chronic pain, something like migraines maybe, in their partner? I love all your work btw it's really incredible 🩵🩵🩵

So this is something I think about a lot as I have a fucked up back. Fortunately, I have a really good group of drs so I've been able to go longer and longer without a flair up, but when I'm incapacitated on my couch, thinking of how these guys would react brings me so much comfort.

I think most of the boys would be really understanding and helpful. But let's get into it! HCs below the cut :)

Hunter may be able to sense acutely when you have a bad day before you even notice the symptoms (those heightened senses strike me like the way medical alert dogs can sense a seizure coming on in their human). His first instinct is to hold you against him, but he holds off until he ensures you are in the most comfortable place, your environment is perfect for what you need, and you have any medication needed. Then he'll wrap around you and do what he can to make you feel better. IDK why, but I feel like he'd gently hum a little tune as he holds you, literally trying anything and everything to soothe you. If he can't take away the physical pain, he can make damn sure you feel cared for.

Wrecker is also someone who's gonna try and cuddle you through an episode. If that's something that helps you, you'll be in heaven. He'll literally make a nest for you and bring you all the snacks. If your condition comes with muscle pain, he'll give you the most gentle and soothing massage. He will get that sad look in his eyes, though. Personally, I like seeing my partner care but I know some people don't like to feel pitied so if that's you, you may need to have a conversation with him. Similarly, if physical contact isn't helpful for you, you'll have to let him down gently. Best to give him something else to do - like help with the responsibilities you can't do - because Wrecker really doesn't like feeling as if he can't help.

Tech is going to learn everything about your condition itself. And I mean everything. He'll become the (secret) preeminent expert on your condition if he has to - and he'll very much believe he has to because frankly he doesn't trust previous doctors who told you this was just a condition you'll have to live with. You have to have a few talks with him that his insistence on trying new approaches to "cures" isn't helpful when you're having a flair up, and that while you love the intention behind it, you need him to either help you in the moment or leave it to you. That sobers him up a bit. But he mostly just puts the "cure" search on the backburner and focuses more on finding the optimal remedies for your symptoms in the moment. He won't really cuddle with you unless you expressly ask but he absolutely will bring his datapad into the room and research/work by your bedside so he can monitor your progress. He'll wake you every few hours to give you more medicine and make sure you stay hydrated.

Echo also studies up on your condition, but unlike Tech, he only cares about remedies. He'll run his findings by Tech, but generally trusts the literature regarding mitigating symptoms. If you find something that works better than other remedies, he's a stickler about making sure you have access to that remedy at all times. He's a big believer in being prepared. He may have some small treats for you, but he'd prefer to have nutritionally balanced food for you during a flair up to give your body everything it needs to get through this and recover. He usually doesn't cuddle with you, preferring to give you the space you need to settle in and recover. But he will be touching you constantly - caressing your head or arm - and talking softly with you if you're up for it.

Crosshair doesn't like admitting your condition scares him. You've explained it's not fatal or anything but it does cause you pain on the regular. And he doesn't like how matter of fact you are when you tell him you experience pain strong enough to put you out of commission with enough regularity that you have a plan for what to do when it happens. He knows you're not a complainer and you tend to push yourself, so for something to knock you out means it's serious. He feels useless and weak at not being able to help in what he feels is a meaningful way.

At first, he'll pull away, selfishly hiding from the sight of you in pain because he doesn't want to confront it. But if he does see you struggling or if he hears you in pain/call his name, he'll be right at your side. You need him. You asked for him. He won't leave you alone again. It'll take him a bit to figure out little tricks to helping you/making you feel better, but eventually he'll get into a rhythm. And woe be to anyone who crosses your path if you have a flair up in public - Crosshair is very much a shoot/punch first ask if they were a threat to you (in act or attitude) later.

501st Boys

Jesse, and Fives are going to learn all they can about the best way to make you feel better not through research but literally by quizzing you. They try asking the first time they see you in an acute flair up and realize those questions will have to wait until you're feeling a little better. And by quiz, I mean these guys prove why ARCs are made different. They'll get down into the minute details. The next time you feel your pain coming on, they'll make sure the environment is perfect for you to rest - as dark and quiet as you need, with all the water and snacks you could possibly want. And they'll totally give you snacks you want that'll make you feel better emotionally more than good for you snacks. If they can stay, they'll bring you bring you fresh, cool towels to drape over your forehead or ice packs/heating packs for your muscles every 30 minutes. Both feel like failures when they have to leave you during an episode.

Between the two, Jesse definitely relies on his humor and tries to keep you talking (if it doesn't hurt you more) to get you through this, and you love that he treats you like normal, that there's no pity in his eyes. But for Fives, this is a situation where he actually gets quiet, lowering his energy to give you the space to rest up.

Kix is, like Tech, going to do all the research. Unlike Tech, Kix has access to military-grade medical facilities. And he WILL use them to get a thorough understanding not just of your condition, but how your body handles the condition. He hates to see you in pain, and it's a negotiation with him as to how much medication you want/need as if Kix had his way, he'd just stick you in a bacta tank each flair up to minimize your pain and any damage ... which obviously isn't practical. Also, there's no "Maybe I can push through it, this flair up feels manageable." The moment Kix knows you're feeling symptoms, you're in the medbay. You'll also find the smallest of treats next to your bed when you wake up.

Dogma similarly, tolerates no negotiation. Sure, you've been dealing with your condition for a while, but if you're not following dr.'s or Kix's orders to the letter, he will make you. I feel like Dogma is incredibly passionate and feels deeply, and he will not risk your health or well being, even if you ask him to just trust you. Eventually, you need a mediation with Kix so Dogma gives you a little room to breathe. Like Wrecker, it helps to give Dogma things to do while you have a flair up so he feels like he's helping. He'll bring you everything you need and then go tidy up your living space or do your paperwork on your behalf or just general errands you need to run. Acts of service is his love language anyway, so this is a system that works really well for you both.

Rex hates that he can't always be with you during a flair up. He literally has a list of people you can call (in order of those he trusts the most to take care of you) if you need assistance. But you've come up with a code to message to his datapad in case he can't be there. If he gets your message, he'll excuse himself as quickly as possible to call you and just talk you through the worst of your flair up and ask if you need someone to be with you.

If he can be there, you won't find a more attentive and gentle person to nurse you through. He'll make sure you're settled and have everything you need and he'll talk you through it until you fall asleep. Then, he'll straighten up your living space and make some food for you for when you wake up. When you do, he'll give you a small portion to start with and hold you against him when you're done.

Tup will run you the most perfect bath ever. Water at the perfect temperature, no harsh smells in case that makes things worse. He helps you get settled then starts helping you wash. And by helping I mean he refuses to let you do anything for yourself. Getting your hair washed by Tup is a spiritual experience and something that, even if your pain persists, reenergizes your soul. He'll dry you gently with the fluffiest towels and then settles you in your room with all your comforts. He's another who will sit by your side until you feel better and he'll cuddle on request if it won't hurt you more.

Slick, giving a recently abducted reassigned Dogma the grand tour of the barely put together Coruscant Guard barracks: WELCOME TO CORUSCANT, WE'RE ALL CLONES OF JANGO! Slick, singing over Fox who's currently doing Spice to feel something other than absolute terror and exhaustion: KUMBAYAAAAAA MY LOARD!!!! Dogma, slightly horrified: (ಥ皿ಥ)

Slick as a character deserves more nuance than canon OR fandom have chosen to give him. Canon makes him out to be no more than a selfish greedy murderer who doesn't truly care about the other clones at all. Fandom uses him as a battering ram against the Jedi who was just fighting The Man and didn't realize that the enemy who'd been killing all of the other clones for months now would in fact use the information he gave her to kill all of the clones.

Slick knowingly betrayed everyone he knew and everyone he cared about (and everyone who cared about him) because he was offered money and a way out of a situation he felt trapped in. There's a level of sympathy to that, but Slick is also objectively WRONG about the Jedi and their involvement in the clones' situation and even if he weren't, the choice he makes is just a really stupid one that does more to hurt the other clones than it does to help them.

Slick deserves to be explored more in a post Order 66 situation where he now has most of the truth about what the clones were and what they were meant for and the Jedi's actual role in it all. I'd love to see a Slick who maintains that the clones were slaves of the Republic, but acknowledges that maybe the Jedi had become slaves of the Republic a little, too. That the Jedi were the victims in all of this, same as the clones. They were always intended to be doomed together. They'd either all survive together or they'd all die together. And now that the Jedi have been destroyed, the clones have lost the one group of people that were standing between them and annihilation. And all Slick can do now is watch as more and more of his brothers are sent on suicide missions and replaced with these new stormtroopers.

But I don't have a single ounce of faith or trust that anyone who is most likely to end up tackling Slick in that time period would actually do that kind of story the justice it deserves.

He’s never felt at home on any of the plants the GAR used to choose for bases. Cities, usually. Built up and busy and so, so much. Dogma is always somehow awkward, somehow out of place, unable to adapt. Even now the harsh flaring of xenons as the maglev speeds between the city districts is burning itself into the backs of his eyes and making his head hurt something awful, just behind the bridge of his nose, and he really wishes he were anywhere else.

A hand lands roughly on top of his head and forces his hood down, over his eyes. It lingers just along enough for him to understand he’s meant to keep it there before retreating.

“Just go to sleep, or whatever,” Slick grunts, one seat to his right. Dogma can’t see him now, because of his hood, but he knows the man is scowling. He’s always scowling.

“I can’t,” Dogma tells him simply. And he won’t be able to, not like this. Not with the noise and the people and the flashing lights and the adrenaline and—well.

Slick shifts and huffs. A small noise that barely carries over the quiet whine of the electromagnetic propulsion beneath their feet. “Whatever,” he says. “Just stop making those faces.”

What faces? Dogma supposes he must have been broadcasting his discomfort, perhaps with his eyes or in the curl of his mouth. The train rocks, keeling around a particularly sharp bend in the track before righting itself again. Dogma relaxes his stiff and achy fingers from their grip around the armrests.

Corellia is a shipbuilder’s yard through-and-through, an atmosphere not lost in the depths of its underground where oil runs in rivulets past overflowing drains, and carbon scoring lines the walls of the station building Dogma leads them out of and out into the rain. His place—base? Hideout?—isn’t far. He sometimes wishes it was, sometimes wishes it was as far as the next planet over. He hasn’t scraped together enough to get there yet, although he’s as far from the containment complex as he could feasibly manage within one gravitational sphere of influence.

Slick drips rainwater in the entryway. His boots stack beside Dogma’s by the skirting board. Something catches in Dogma’s throat; he looks at their coats hung up one beside the other on the edge of his rickety cupboard and knows that he hesitated before choosing to slice Slick’s cell door as well.

Dogma is in the kitchen organising an assortment of food items on plates in some mimicry of a meal when Slick shuffles in from the direction of the bathroom. From the only glance Dogma spares him he looks better than he had before Dogma had dragged him out of a ditch and all the way back here: fresh clothes, fresh shave, even his hair has been brushed. Slick never likes his hair long. Dogma wonders why he hasn’t just shaved it all off yet before remembering his clippers broke last week and he has yet to replace them.

(But Dogma has always enjoyed the feel of growing-out hair slipping between his fingers when he combs through it, so that’s fine with him, really.)

There are still bruises on Slick’s jaw and beneath his left eye, and more are bleeding from pale to deep purple around what’s exposed of his throat. The cut on his temple has at least a plaster over it. His knuckles have been wrapped and hopefully disinfected too.

“All the comforts of home,” Dogma mutters. He slides one plate across the table and sits in his seat, the seat closest the clock and with the best view of the entrance. Dinner looks unappetising but travelling through the dockyards always drains the energy from him; he starts picking at the most recognisable things first.

“I was doing just fine,” Slick says. Insists, really, not for the first time, and petulantly.

“Clearly,” Dogma replies, drier than dust. “You were almost even conscious.”

Slick narrows his eyes across the table, but he sits gingerly and begins assessing his food as well. Dogma scoops up half of his own portion of cured unspecified meat and drops it onto Slick’s, unsurprised and too tired to argue when Slick foists more of the grains Dogma can actually eat without gagging onto his pile.

“Stop treating me like an invalid,” Slick grumbles. When he kicks Dogma’s ankle it’s more like an irritated nudge, and his foot stays there, resting unobtrusively skin to skin.

“I won’t, then,” Dogma says, and instead hopes he’ll sleep better tonight, undisturbed by the no longer empty other side of the bed.
