Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask - Cotton Candy

TL;DR: Cotton Candy scent is disappointing due to a strong blue raspberry smell and the flavor is unpleasant.

I’ve purchased the Laneige lip mask a few times over the years and while it’s alright, there are other lip balms/masks that I prefer. One perk Laneige has that I think contributes to its hype is the range of flavors and the seasonal/limited edition releases. Although I’ve smelled most of the flavors, I’ve only purchased Berry, Sweet Candy, Peppermint, and Mint Choco. Then they released a cotton candy flavor.

When I first heard they were coming out with cotton candy, I immediately had nostalgic thoughts of Bubble Yum cotton candy bubble gum and despite having a TON of lip balms, I had to indulge in this cotton candy lip mask. I ordered online so I wasn’t able to smell the sample in store before hand. Formula wise, it seems like the same formula with a nifty swirl, but it all goes downhill from there.

First, the scent…as other reviews said, it definitely has a blue raspberry scent to it, which isn’t bad but I was expecting that distinct almost sickening sweet cotton candy scent. Instead it’s more of blue raspberry cotton candy. Second, the flavor…I’m not one to constantly lick off lip balm but since you’re bound to get some in your mouth, the flavor should mimic the scent even if mild. I’m not quite sure how to describe the flavor but it is truly AWFUL! Maybe playdough? It’s bad enough that I honestly can’t wear the balm longer than a few seconds without wanting to rub it off. I’ve never experienced this with any other laneige flavor.

Overall, the cotton candy flavor was a huge disappointment, I’d suggest literally any other flavor if you buy this lip mask especially if it’s your first time using the Laneige lip mask. Sweet Candy is probably my favorite. I do prefer olehenriksen, summer fridays, and topicals lip balms over laneige though.

Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm

Color: 07 Raspberry - a sheer fuchsia

I love this product!!!! I have two colored the light pink and the gorgeous raspberry shade. I love them both but my favorite is the raspberry color. It makes my pale skin look luminous. First off, one of my favorite colored lip balms to use to date. The color Raspberry melts onto my lips and creates this sheer, beautiful pink. I love it as it is hydrating and natural looking. I have to applaud the formula. It really does feel matte and powder based on the lips, and does not budge (which is a good thing). Had Dior made other colors in this matte formula, I would definitely buy, because it is lovely! I can talk about Dior endlessly. Dior's products are always stylish and elegant.

I hate to be the party pooper but the lotion isn't the issue if you actually read the ingredient list and looked into how lotions are made; op would have to use an absurd amount of lotion to attract spiders if it was just a pheromones alone. And they wouldn't just be attracting 1 type of spider.

Op most likely has a wolf spider problem and the follow up posts is just people having fun and being on the side of misinformation (one of them literally says studies but doesn't cite shit)

But Ima keep it real, if you're spending $43 ($48 with tax, holy fuck that's ridiculous) on body lotion that smells bad & doesn't deter wolf spiders, it's a bad lotion. Ideally the best scented lotions are made up with scents that deter all insects like vanilla, lemon grass, mint, and lavender {to name a few}.

So, although accidental, op proved the quality of the Sephora lotion is shit for the price (which isn't a surprise, it's Sephora) and hopefully they can get in touch with an exterminator to resolve their possible infestation {I really hope it's just coincidence based off where they live & work and they're not living actually living with a big nest unknowingly}
