Older guys are great fun to play with. They are not all about their dicks. They give you lots of attention. And even if they don't achieve a full erection I rather like teasing out a load from a semi flaccid cock

Tumblr media
Approximately 2.4 million people 65+ in the U.S. identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT). These individuals, sometimes referred to as GenSilent or the Silent Generation, face unique challenges as they age, particularly when it comes to long-term care and healthcare needs.
LGBTQ seniors often experience discrimination, financial constraints, and a lack of family support as they navigate the aging process. These factors can contribute to feelings of isolation and invisibility within the community.
Groups for LGBTQ older adults, such as www.sageusa.org, are dedicated to addressing these challenges. These programs offer connection, resources, and support to older LGBTQ individuals, helping them forge chosen families and create a sense of belonging.
SAGE (Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders) provides a wide range of services, including social activities, support groups, healthcare assistance, and advocacy efforts. These resources are designed to empower LGBTQ seniors and improve their quality of life as they age.
By participating in 'Rainbow Seniors' programs like those offered by SAGE, LGBTQ older adults can find a sense of community, access vital resources, and combat the challenges they face as they grow older. These initiatives are essential in ensuring that all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, can age with dignity and support.

Bienvenue chez Mémé Bigoudis !
Tumblr media

A Silent Symphony: How Trees Communicate...
Trees are more than just solitary giants. Beneath their still exterior lies a hidden world of communication, an intricate network that allows them to share information and resources with remarkable sophistication. This "language of trees" is primarily facilitated through their root systems and fungal networks known as mycorrhizae.
Trees use their roots to interact with fungi, forming symbiotic relationships where fungi supply nutrients to the trees in exchange for sugars produced through photosynthesis. This network, sometimes called the "Wood Wide Web," enables trees to send signals to one another. For instance, when a tree is attacked by pests or diseases, it can release chemical signals through the network, warning neighboring trees to bolster their defenses by producing protective compounds.
Additionally, trees can exchange resources through this network. For example, a tree in need of nutrients can receive aid from more robust neighbors, ensuring the survival of the forest community. Some studies have even suggested that older "mother trees" play a central role in nurturing younger saplings, distributing resources to support their growth.
This subterranean communication system is a testament to the cooperative nature of forest ecosystems. Far from being isolated entities, trees exemplify the strength of interconnectedness, thriving through mutual support and shared information.
Understanding this silent symphony allows us to appreciate the complexity and resilience of natural systems, emphasizing the importance of preserving these ancient networks for the health of our planet.
We indiginous folk have been listening to the unheard for many thousands of years. The vast majority of Na hullos cannot hear it. Sadly, some of our own can no longer hear the symphony. Through acculturation, they have become deaf and blind to the 'original instructions' of our Earth Mother just like the Na hullos. This makes me sad. I have no idea how it can be changed.

the amount of seething fury I harbour for how my siblings treat my grandma-
She can't take care of herself anymore. She has dementia and has fallen too many times, so that about half a year back, we got her into a senior residence. It's a good place. She has her own room which she can do with what she wants, she can go outside whenever she wants but there are always people there to keep an eye on her. Now, I've been there so many times and ya know, she might not be able to remember our conversations for long but as long as she does, she tries to interact and to help. We talk about politics, about university, and all that stuff. We have actual conversations. She's been afraid to walk on her own, so I take her on walks and make sure that we get her out of that habit of fearing walking. I make sure that she knows I'm there and that I won't let her fall. I test her memory by asking about her late husband and her kids. Now, when I'm there, I always see her having a good day. That's if I'm alone. As soon as my siblings are with me that changes? And I understand why. They don't talk to her. They genuinely treat her like she doesn't understand anything and it makes me so mad. They're also afraid to touch her and she needs a push from time to time (not a literal push but something to help her up or to help her on the toilet). When my mom and I are there together she's also good and I seriously am beginning to think hat it's BC we're the only people who don't treat her like an invalid. Sure, we adjusted but she's still that hard headed woman who argued about anything and everything. And the way my siblings treat her just makes me furious BC she isn't a baby. She can understand us, she just can't remember everything. She's still herself and treating her like anyone else will make her forget even faster.
Anyway, I am her favourite grandchild so that's something

The Truth About Growing Old
Every one of us is going to get older. However, the media does not usually portray it like it is in reality. They show how much fun it is to retire and be able to travel, etc. What I am portraying is a humorous parody on what getting older really looks and feels like. I hope you enjoy reading it.

Nurse at Mom's senior living place just called. "Corporate" told them they are not allowed to put on residents' continuous glucose monitors anymore (Dexcom, Free Libre, etc.). Only family members or other visitors can do it. Apparently it has something to do with them mostly being app-based, which conflicts with their other new rule, don't touch a resident's cell phone. They can only prick fingers for blood sugar readings (however, if they have a receiver-only set up they can read the sugar off that).
So basically me or someone else has to go up every 10 days to do Mom's Dexcom. I am so fucking pissed, and questioning what else Corporate has planned for the future management of her place.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
