hello mila, hope you've been well <3 for the prompt, "I'm gonna kiss you like the sun" for milan, please? 💗 (yes, not an n ask, who is she?!)

You’ve fallen asleep here before. Everything is familiar; the sofa you’re laying on, the blanket that’s over your legs. You can probably make all of that out by touch alone. But you crack open an eye and know you’re at Milan’s house.

Though, there’s a difference. A big one.

The line between the two of you, the one that indicated whether your feelings for one another would stay as platonic or delve into something more.

The two of you crossed that line literally a few hours ago. A pinky promise, muttered confessions, infectious smiles and a pull forwards to position you closer to one another.

But that was then.

And now it’s hours later with the sun streaming in, Milan isn’t by your side and maybe the excitement is beginning to wear off. They’re the best friend you could ask for, is that friendship really worth ruining?

“You’re awake already,” you hear Milan’s voice murmur. It’s raspy, you can hear the tiredness in it by the faintest of margins but they still manage to smile at you. Albeit strained.

“You are too,” you utter back before sitting up and rubbing one of your eyes. “Don’t you have training?”

Milan shakes their head. “Day off,” they answer simply.

The two of you are tiptoeing around this. The confidence from last night is gone: there isn’t any help from twinkling stars in the sky, and it hasn’t reached 11:11 for Milan to make a wish. You’re both on your own…yet you’re both with one of the people you trust the most in the world.

You clear your throat. “You should sit down.” You pull the blanket away and allow them to sink into the seat beside you.

The silence between you both isn’t awkward, but it’s not free from tension. “I…” Milan trails off, their gaze glued to their nails for a moment. “You know that I meant what I said last night,” they manage to choke out.

You blink. “Which is what, exactly?” you begin to ask. “That you want to kiss me or that you have feelings for me?”

Milan’s eyes flit upwards, and they quickly scan your features for a sign, like the eager one they saw from you last night.

“Both,” they murmur after a pause, a slight crack in their voice because there’s no chance of turning back now. “I didn’t think I…I thought any feelings I had for you would stay as platonic.”

Your heart’s racing now. Your brief conversation about this same topic last night was casual, blasé, probably enough to be make the other think you were joking about any romantic feelings—this is more serious.

“And now?” you question.

Milan smiles, one that doesn’t quite reach their eyes. They’re nervous. “Now, I’m falling for you. I’m falling for my best friend without any warning, and it scares the shit out of me because I love how you and me are as is. I don’t want to jeopardise that for something that may not even happen.”

You hum, subconsciously shuffling closer to Milan. “You seem to have forgotten what I said last night.”

They blink. “We were tired last night, we said a lot.”

“True,” you utter, “but we also promised that we’d tell each other how we felt about one another. And I don’t think we’ve actually broken a pinky promise in years we’ve known each other.”

You hold your little finger out and Milan does the same, they watch your movements carefully. Your finger wraps around theirs, and the slight touch is enough to ignite warmth within you.

You try to steady your breathing, ensuring that your finger stays intertwined with Milan’s before they murmur a, “What now?”

You swallow hard. “I tell you I feel the same,” you say after a pause, “and I tell you that you can kiss me,” you whisper.

The words startle Milan a little, all before their smile widens and they lean an inch forward, tangling the rest of their fingers with yours.

You lean in too. Your eyes fall close and you can only imagine that Milan has done the same when your lips brush theirs.

“So, not just friends then?” you ask against their lips with a broad smile, feeling as their free hand creeps over your shoulder and gently holds the back of your neck.

“I personally think us as lovers sounds better.”

And then Milan kisses you. In the same way a genie grants an all important wish, in the same way a golden retriever can happily smile after making pleasant memories during the day.

The same way Milan St. Clair would kiss the sun, or maybe the world, because that is what you are to them.

Tumblr wise been good! I’m not here as much as I used to be but lurking a lot on and off lol. Working on a few wips (one i hope to have posted in the next week 🤞)

I’d say there’s def been some new recent activity with fics so def gonna have a lot to check out on the mcyt gt tag when you are able to return but otherwise nothing huge new tumble wise.

I've been seeing your AWL posts lately and am thinking about playing the regular AWL myself! :D Your posts about Gustafa are so lovely. Is there any reason you picked him out of the other bachelors!

oh, you totally should! i'm not sure exactly how different the remake is from the original, but if the characters and gameplay mechanics are still similar enough, i'd definitely recommend checking it out. it's a fresh breath of air after playing more recent entries in the series. i do know that the remake does has some quailty-of-life improvements and changes some things about the characters beyond just redesigns ( like lumina being the same age as the protag from the start for example. )

if you ever wanna play the remake, though, xseed does run sales from time to time on the story of seasons games for switch and steam. i'd recommend looking out for one of those sales if you wanna grab it!

BUT YEAH. GUSTAFA, MY BELOVED... 💖✨

while i haven't played the original awl, i had read up on the characters before since it's such an iconic entry from the bokumono series and i was curious about them. honestly, gustafa's always kinda stood out to me since i usually love characters that are generally laid-back, appreciate life & nature, and are on the weirder side. ( *gestures at emily from sdv and jennifer from the fomt remake* ) his design feels really unique when compared to marlin and rock, too. i just thought he was a neat dude and made a mental note to try romancing him if i ever played awl or ds cute. plus, he reminded me a lot of snufkin from the moomin series, who i also adore, so that probably influenced my initial impression on him a bit, too.

i did go into the remake thinking that i might try going for gustafa, but i still wasn't sure if he was the character i was going to end up with. awl has a lot of interesting characters ( and a lot of cute girls ) so i thought someone else might swoop in and become my fave. but then i started talking to gustafa and getting his events... i was done for pretty quick, as you may have saw. 😔 he's just really pleasant to talk to and i really love that his events generally involve the two of you enjoying each other's company, admiring nature, and him sharing his passion for music with you. but, i think the moment that really sealed my fate was asking him to the fireworks festival and being bombarded by how much rizz he freaking has. when he hit tris with "i think we'll both have some sweet dreams tonight" after the show ended, it was over. he really has my heart in a death grip at this point...

oh, and he makes this face when you ask him out to the festivals.

i proposed to him last night, ( i haven't gotten his engagement event yet since i haven't picked up the game yet today,) and i'm almost done with the first year. i've been having a lot of fun with this game and i'm really excited to play through more of it — especially with gustafa by tris's side. 😊✨

*when P wakes up he'll feel the tiniest bit of weight on his chest? and if he were to open his eyes he'll see that eve is sitting on top of him with one of her favorite toys right in front of her?! she gives a quiet mrr as she nudges it closer to him, however it's then that tum's sigh can be heard just outside the room, the man grabbing an excited snow just before she can set one paw inside! he blinks when he looks up and sees what's going on, going back to his mission when duchess decides she wants to go inside too, tum scooping her up before she can get past the threshold as she gives a startled brr~!*

"I'm sorry if I accidentally woke you up. I've had my hands full since it seems that the cats have been a little too eager to greet you this morning." *he then sticks his leg out as lilly also decides she wants in, easily stopping the tiny puppy even as she tries her hardest to get past him!*

"Ah... It seems even Eve wished to give you something today. I think she is giving you permission to borrow her toy. How thoughtful. I'll let you get up at your leisure since it's your birthday, but please be aware that I'm in the middle of preparing brunch. Everything should be done in a few minutes, but don't let that rush you. I'll make sure your food remains warm and fresh, so take your time coming downstairs."

His birthday has arrived... Knowing his family will make it a wonderful one for him, P excitedly looks forward to it~ Though as his eyes slowly come to an open...he feels some, albeit very light, weight on his chest... "Mm...?" With a light yawn, he peers down to see what it is, and gives a gasp of delighted surprise when seeing that it's Eve!! "Oh, Eve! Good morning; hehe, did you want to be the first one to greet me?" He chuckles, giving her head soft scritches~ Then seeing her nudge her favorite toy towards him, his smile wides even more!! "Ah? You will let me play with it? You're so sweet..."

Then when he hears that sigh, he turns towards his door, seeing that it's Tum! Seeing him stop the other kitties from trying to zoom in, can't help but make him chuckle as he finally sits up while placing Eve and her toy on his lap~ "Good morning, Tum: oh no worries, you didn't disrupt me at all. Hehe, I can see; but I very happily welcome it. I'm just as happy to see them all, too! I see Lilly wishes to do the same, too." As shown by the tiny puppy trying her best to get in, chuckling~!

"Ahhh...so she really is allowing me to borrow her toy. To give me such special permission...she truly is a sweetheart. Thank you, Eve....I promise to be very careful with your toy." He hugs the tiny kitty even closer against his chest while playing with the toy with her~ Then as Tum continues, he nods. "Ah, okay. I'll be looking forward to it! I just know it will taste great... and no problem, I'll take my time. I'll head down once I'm ready...oh, and thank you for being willing to keep it hot for me, and for cooking in general, too. My morning is already off to a great start..."

Holding Eve in his arm, he stands up, so that he can give Tum a gentle side hug~ "I know you said don't rush, but I will still be down, soon. Ah, and it's okay to let the other pets inside: I must greet them with hugs and nuzzles, too!"
