So I do TNR and socialization and rehoming bc i live on a street where people witlNOT FUCKING GET THEIR CATS FIXED AND KEEP THEM INSIDE and lately I'm working on this guy, Little Big Fat. And I need you to look at him

he's easily over 15lbs and i can fit my hand in between his ears.

Still working with him and another cat, getting them litterbox trained and used to indoors before actively looking for homes

This is Barry Bluejeans. As of noon today, he is neutered and vaccinated against FIV, FELV, and Rabies. He is the most social cat I have ever trapped. Most strays I TNR are feral and get re-released where they came from; this little duder took a week to warm up to me outside and then last night straight up walked into our house and set up shop on the cat tree in my studio. As of midnight on September 25, he has discovered laps and gives them an 8/10 so far.

He's approximately 1YO, 10lbs, and friendly with other cats. Medium-short coat and fluffy tail, solid build. He's a honk-squeaker. Talks a lot when nervous but calms down fast. I FINALLY FINALLY found a use for this weird Noro cord-yarn that I thrifted over a year ago. Noro is a luxury yarn brand and i think this retailed at like $15 a skein. They were half off of $3.99 each, so about $6 total. I warped this navy cotton with a loose sett (10 epi) intending to weave with just the Noro thinking it would make a tight placemat sort of thing. It was NOT working out. (Ft. Sophie)

It did NOT want to beat tightly and a loose fabric with that yarn would be just miserable. I un-wove that inch.

I woke up from a headache at 5:30 AM with the burning desire to throw my life away and become a rug weaver. While I'm not about to burn that many bridges, I can certainly use up some fabric that's been sitting in my stash.

Cue this black cotton fabric, cheapest stuff you can get, cut into half inch continuous strips. Each pick I put both wefts through and it's GORGEOUS. (Ft. Sophie)

The shiny variegated yarn is a perfect highlight for the matte cotton. It shows up so well, and the black portions still have subtle shine. I'm so in love.

Also, I must announce my hypocrisy. Despite my firmly held belief that there are few items less useful than a table runner, that's what this is becoming. My mom has already put in a claim for it and I'll make it her birthday present.
