I never thought I’d be making this post, this is genuinely insane and I kind of feel exposed with the amount of crazy stuff I post on this blog 😭

We’re not quite to 1,000 but we’re really close and I want to do something to celebrate, just to show my appreciation of all of you guys!! I can’t express how much I cherish each and every one of you, you make my hobby of writing so much more fun and the community you’ve all formed always manages to bring a smile to my face :))

Im getting better at my job but im finding I hate it more :/

Im working as a bubble tea barista (started 2 days ago) having to learn how to cook types of bubbles, learning drinks, cleaning, etc and its actually giving me so much anxiety. From how much I have to learn, to the 20 drinks I have to memorize this week and next week + figuring out Machinery, it’s making it so much harder for me to focus at home. My sleep might be getting disrupted because of it too and I’m getting a crazy headache every night from studying all of it.

if I tried quitting now only I’d feel bad for wasting the trainers time. Especially since I still have 11 weeks worth of training but I just don’t know if I have it in me.

Or maybe it’s just the overwhelm of my first job that’s getting to me and It’ll die down?

Sylus raises his brows. “What’s the harm in staying a few more days to get some rest?” he questions. “It’s not like they won’t find you near where you disappeared in a few days. Not after spending your time in a Protofield trying to get rid of a powerful monster.”

You shift on the balls of your feet, looking away from him. You know exactly what he’s doing.

“The cameras—”

“Exploded in the fight,” Sylus quips.

His warm hand lets go of your wrist, but he keeps his palm opened and outstretched.

“Stay. Rest. Take a break then return in a few days. Your people may be looking for you, but they’ll be alright without you for a few days… worried or not,” he argues, nailing his points down.

You exhale in defeat. “Sylus…”

“We never forget to water our own garden, sweetie. And yours is quite dehydrated,” he hums.

You can’t help the sudden tiredness that overcomes you again, even after spending goodness knows how long asleep already. You don’t think you can help it this time. Not with Sylus and his honey-coated reassurances.
