I've been reading Beauty and the Beast AUs but I could work with something similar/fusion. (I've already read "The Serpent and the Angel" and "Choose Your Princes Wisely" and loved them both) If you can't manage fantasy au then post-s1 would work as well :)

Their worlds are about to collide, putting Crowley's life in danger and revealing that the land-dwelling angels and ocean-dwelling merdemons just might not be that different after all. Aradia Megido -> Mothra, a Japanese based Kaiju depicted as a large moth. To be conflated with Mothman, a West Virginian cryptid, for the sake of this au. Currently a Ghost, a spirit of the dead that can appear to the living.

Tavros Nitram -> Minotaur, in Greek mythology, is a creature portrayed with the head and tail of a bull and the body of a man.

Sollux Captor -> Cross roads Demon, found in several folklore, religion, and literature, are often malevolent supernatural entities, who collect souls.

Karkat Vantas -> Cherub Angel, in religion, is an unearthly being. For this au they are similar to cupid. Winged beings who match make. please note that this au will NOT be referencing christianity heavily for this.

Nepeta Leijon -> Nekomata, in Japanese folklore, are a type of yokai, depicted as a shapeshifting cat with two tails. while they can take any form, they will always have the tails.

Kanaya Maryam -> Vampire, in European folklore, are undead humanoid creatures that subsists by feeding on the blood of the living. often able to shapeshift into a bat. and unable to go out in the sun.

Terezi Pyrope -> Dragon is a magical legendary creature that appears in the folklore of multiple cultures worldwide. This one is a western dragon, often depicted as winged, horned, and capable of breathing fire.

Vriska Serket -> Arachne / Jorōgumo. In Greek myth, Arachne is a woman turned into a spider by Athena. In Japanese myth, Jorōgumo are often yokai of a half woman half spider. please note Vriska is not a yokai nor is she Arachne... she is simply a half woman have spider creature, likened to these two examples.

Equius Zahhak -> Centaur, in Greek mythology, is a creature with the upper body of a human and the lower body and legs of a horse

Gamzee Makara -> The bogeyman is a creature used by adults to frighten children into good behavior. Bogeymen have no specific appearances but they are most commonly depicted as masculine or androgynous monsters. In this case, they look like a clown.

Eridan Ampora -> Selkie, in Celtic and Norse mythologies, are creatures that can shapeshift between seal and human forms. For this au, Eridan is part seahorse instead, and often takes the form of a elf instead.

Feferi Peixes -> Leviathan. A very large sea serpent noted in theology and mythology. Feferi is also likened to a mermaid / siren, when not the size of 10 whales.

Random Suggestions! (I’m aware some people are locked in, but I’m throwing all I got out there! please note, I am also a huge fan of Halflings/Hybrids!)

Rose - Unicorn. Either the Faux/Pure thing I talked about before, or a Unicorn hybrid with, like. A kelpie or a kind of Grimm. So she’s still Pure, Healing, Light, but also Curses, Death, Darkness. Or some kind of Dryad/Banshee kid. Or Unicorn/Banshee … not sure why, but that one appeals.

Ivan - Minotaur feels obvious, but were-something could work? Bear, wolf, is there such thing as a werebull? Cyclops, maybe? Troll? What exactly would something like King Kong be classified as, is there a Magic Creature version of that, he can just turn into a giant ape? Bigfoot or Sasquatch? Yeti?

Nathaniel - Gorgon, full or partial? Only Medusa really had the “turn people to stone by looking at them”, so Nath doesn’t NEED that. The OG Gorgon Sisters all had different abilities, he could be any of those … go the OG Monster High Deuce route, have him be the kid of a Gorgon and a normal human?

Kagami - Dragon still feels acceptable, but so could a Yuki-Onna, actually. Yuki-Onna adopted by dragons, or vice versa? Though there is a Japanese legend about a serpent/dragon that turned into a woman to romance a guy, (think she’s called Kiyohime?) could that be a selkie variant? Dragon Selkie?

Sabrina - I think you said Grim reaper before, but what about Were-Wolf? This is a somewhat Recent Development, and she’s terrified to tell her dad, cause Roger HATES supernatural creatures.

Zoé - I remember Zoé being a Werewolf, so we could have the Werewolf vs Vampire thing with Chloé, but I’m kinda attached to her being a Mothman type thing? Oooh, Jersey Devil!

Adrien - is he still a Cait Sith? Or was it werecat?

Lila - if you don’t go with the Alien thing, or the “Normal Human”, what about a Changeling? Like, she was swapped at birth, but is scared of anyone finding out, cause what if they try to trade her back??

Finally, I've gotten this list all done and typed! Not lying, this took me literal days to finish since I couldn't think of monsters for some girls and kept switching species around! Luckily, the people I've asked say this list is good, which at least gives me some hope that I made the right choices for these characters. I'm not gonna lie, I can't wait to make spec evo bios for these girls and go into the culture and worldbuilding for monster/non-human societies~! i wanted to think about this for a hot second so... (trying not to do dnd creatures but ITS SO HARD I HAD TO WITH ROACH)

I think Soap would be a werewolf-- i know everyone says it but the dude screams big hairy dog beast. also, adores affection, again, very weredog-y!! like maybe a wolf, or maybe just a big scary hound of miscellaneous sorts.

Reaper i think would be some sort of dragon morph. like this giant eldritch leviathan who's screams deaf people within a twenty mile radius, but then shes just some spooky, kinda depressed, scaley person out of morph. i think something like a toothless, half-dragonborn sort of thing for her human shape

Big brain but Rigo would be a harpy-- i think maybe something like a golden eagle-- big fuzzy talons and wings for arms. i think he likes to play pranks on the team by pretending to go full bird and peck at their lunches

i actually think Roach would fit as a drider!! climbing up and around walls, using the height to his advantage, i imagine roach and rigo would have a flirtatious, cringey back and forth, something among the lines of rigo saying he just wants to each Roach up, and roach saying he'd like to catch rigo in his web

Ghost might fit as a wraith, but i think the idea of him being a vampire would be so tragic. like it's been hundreds of years of him being alone, shutting himself away before finally opening up. Maybe some dragon crashed onto the castle grounds, bleeding and limping, when he finally opened up and let someone into his heart (OOOOOOOOO)

And of course, Gaz, i think might be something like a serpent/water leviathan. something like the ghost leviathan in subnautica!! like he'd hide in the deeps, waiting for a ship to pass by before he shoots out of the water and slams the ship into the cliffs. yes he has fun, yes he has friends!!!

Fyre’s Good Omens Human AUs

So in exciting/oh lord not again things, I’m working on yet another human AU. And, to absolutely no one’s shock, it’s another adaptation of one of my favourite films: Hot Fuzz :D

Since I’m having to do some pretty intensive poking and twisting and squeeshing to mould the two into something cohesive, I won’t starting posting it until It’s fully-written because I don’t trust myself not to get the plots muddled in the later chapters.

However, in the meantime, I thought I would put together a list of my big human AUs for anyone who might like that kind of thing :D It’s... more than I realised. Sometimes, someone should take my keyboard off me.

Going Overboard

Rating: PG13      Word count: 42,600

Summary: When Crowley is drafted in to do some electrical work on a rich toff’s yacht, he’s blamed for something he didn’t do and tossed overboard. With no way to catch the man or get paid for his work, when he hears that the same toff has apparently been found washed up off-shore, he sees it as a chance to chase the man for what he’s due. Only Aziraphale Fell has amnesia and - to Crowley’s shock - has been abandoned by his staff. Rich toff or not, Crowley decides to take care of him.

Inspiration: An AU of Overboard (minus the manipulative, misogynist and abusive behaviour)

The One That Got Away

Summary: For Aziraphale, life ought to be simple. Abide by the rules of the shoal, protect their hidden realm from curious humans, patrol the eastern gates and take care of any threats. And when the time comes, join the battle against humanity. The trouble is that Aziraphale rather likes human things, which is quite a problem for a merman. A fatal one if the shoal leader ever finds out. But as long as he stays out of sight of the humans and the shoal never finds out, everything will be fine. Won’t it?

Inspiration: Mermay-inspired with a sprinkle of Little Mermaid, selkie lore, and general mer-related shenanigans.

I posted a picture in July 2019 of Crowley doing the “You may be a villain but you’re not a supervillain” bit when Hastur confronts him. “what’s the difference?” - Crowley “PRESENTATION!” and how could I not? Is there a mythological equivalent of a selkie, but for snakes? I know there’s swan-maidens and fox wives, and there’s definitely at least one Chinese folk tale about a snake turning into a beautiful woman to marry a human dude. But is there anything with specifically the whole “shapeshifting via animal skin garment” aspect to it?

I ask because, well. We do canonically have a main character who’s always wearing a ridiculous snakeskin coat, which he seems pretty defensive of despite feeling free to judge everyone else’s fashion choices. I feel like the fairy tale AU writes itself. :D 

(Dankovsky being a mythical creature would make his bafflement over the Town’s eccentricities even funnier, honestly. Yes, he can take on the form of a strange and mystical serpent, that’s fine, but this place? This place is weird.)
