The man,

The man,
To all the women out there, we as men are tired of always being expected to protect you from anything and everything. We understand that there are times when you might feel weak or need support. However, it’s important to recognize that there are limits to what we can do, especially when certain situations arise due to your own actions.
Respect for Freedom and Choices:
Yes, you have every right to wear what you want, go where you want, and do whatever you want. We are not here to restrict you in any way. However, there’s a fine line between freedom and responsibility. When a man in your life—be it your father, brother, or boyfriend—asks you to be cautious, it's often out of genuine concern for your safety, not an attempt to control you.
Understanding the Role of Protection:
When you choose to dismiss this concern, viewing it as overprotectiveness or unnecessary control, it creates a complex situation. If something unfortunate happens, it’s unfair to return and demand protection, asking why we didn’t prevent it. Our protective instincts are often rooted in love and care, but they can only go so far when our advice or concern is ignored.
A Shared Survival Ground:
The world is a tough place for everyone—men and women alike. We all face challenges, and sometimes those challenges are significant. If you decline basic protection or ignore advice, and something goes wrong, it’s crucial to acknowledge that responsibility lies with you as well. The expectation that men should always be there to protect can be unrealistic, especially when the protection offered is disregarded.
Men’s Vulnerabilities and Challenges:
Just as you face dangers, so do we. The world can be equally cruel to men, who also experience fear, vulnerability, and threats. Yet, we are often expected to quietly bear these burdens without complaint. It’s hurtful when our genuine concern is seen as overbearing, and it’s even more painful when we fail to protect someone because they chose not to listen.
The Pain of Failing to Protect:
It deeply affects us when someone we care about is harmed, especially after we’ve tried to prevent it. Seeing someone hurt or worse because they disregarded our warnings is a burden we carry. We protect because we care, not because it’s a duty forced upon us by society. But when that protection is rejected, it becomes a complex and painful situation for everyone involved.
A Plea for Responsibility:
Please, live your life fully, make your choices, and express your freedom. But understand that with freedom comes the responsibility to protect yourself. If you choose to take risks, be prepared to face the consequences without always relying on others to shield you from them.
The Harsh Realities:
The world can be harsh and judgmental, regardless of what you wear or how you present yourself. If you’re not ready to handle that, it’s okay to stay within your limits. But don’t blame those who tried to protect you when things go wrong. Mutual respect and responsibility should guide our actions, not a one-sided expectation of protection.
A Call to Protect Yourself:
As a feminist and someone who believes in equality, I urge you to take every possible step to protect yourself. Don’t be careless or reckless and then expect someone else to fix things. We want to protect you because we care, not because it’s our obligation as men.
Equal Responsibility:
If you’re born into this world, you have an equal responsibility to protect yourself. We, as men, are tired of failing to protect those who don’t want to be protected. It’s not a duty we should be forced into; it’s an extension of our care for you. But it’s essential that this care is met with an equal effort on your part to stay safe.

Sorry, I'm all out of free chances.
I've developed these behaviours and coping mechanisms, perfected these strategies of surviving you. That's what years in the battle will do to you.
So no. It's not on me to just believe you're different now. It's gonna take a lot more than empty words and promises to start cracking at these walls 26 years in the making.
And time is not on your side.
