🌈Rainbow: What was the happiest moment in your lore for you/your self-insert? Who all shared that happiness with you in canon?

The happiest was probably a close tie between when Crow explained his DID to the wereyote pack he was accepted into and his adoptive niece was born to, and when after having to out himself to the Pines family + Fiddleford as a wereyote to rescue his niece he was not just immediately accepted but also finally given the help they both needed.

The first one was while he was sent by the entity im referring to as Normalizing Force to eradicate the pack, actually. NF had, since Crow and Song were very young, convinced them that she was an angel sent to rid the world of evil and strangeness. They worked together until they were about 35-ish? And Crow was tasked to destroy a wereyote pack for being weres. Crow, instead of blindly following orders like he was expected to, just. Ended up talking to them. He realized that he and Song felt more seen with them than he'd ever felt anywhere else.

In that packs culture, having two selves was a normal and natural part of life. Some pack members viewed their coyote self as an integrated part of one's identity that was fragmented due to the transformation. Others saw it as a seperate being that took control of their body under the full moon- but one who's self and input were valued and celebrated. They were a team, not enemies fighting for control of a shared body. So when Crow explained his DID to his adoptive niece's parents(and omitted NF's occasional body possession), they not only understood him, but accepted both Crow and Song with open arms. So much so that later down the line they would agree when he asked them to turn him, and integrated them fully into their family. It's because of that bond that when NF eventually attacked the pack on her own, Crow was entrusted to keep his niece safe from harm, the girl about four years old or so.

The second was honestly extremely similar. His niece had snuck out to hang out past curfew with Dipper and Mabel, who had returned to Gravity Falls the next summer after the show ended. She and Crow ended up there after about a decade on the run from NF, who was kept at bay outside of Gravity Falls by the same barrier that a year before kept Bill's Weirdmageddon in. So she felt safe enough to start breaking rules. Unfortunately that rule was put in place because it was a full moon that night, and she transformed at a really inopportune time. It scared Dipper and Mabel who instinctively called out for their Grunkles, and Ford (who didn't know that they even had a friend over because he was busy chatting with Fiddleford who was visiting as well), hit the room first. Seeing what he believed to be a monster in the room with his nibblings, obviously he responded with strong force, and chased her out with the intent to kill or capture.

Crow, by this point, had realized that she was gone and despite being transformed himself took the risk and ran out into the night to find her to keep her safe. He tracked her quickly, dread in the pit of his stomach when he realized where she'd run off to- he didn't at this point get along all that well with Stanford for a handful of reasons, but he knew that when he had her cornered and raised his crossbow, he needed to act. He jumped between the two and covered her with his body, growling with his tail tucked.

Fiddleford, having heard the younger twins explain that the wereyote that Ford was chasing was actually their friend, caught up just before he pulled the trigger, and managed to get him to lower it. He had realized that if she was a Wereyote, it stood to reason that Crow/Song, her Auntle (combination aunt and uncle) likely was one too.

He reached his hand out and put it on the bridge of his snout, and the immediate relief in that touch was palpable. They all ended up going to the mystery shack after the tension broke, and when the sun rose the two changed back. Then, Crow could finally explain the situation- something he'd been dodging because the decade of running had him putting up walls so high he didn't think they could ever come down.

This is where the actual happiest moment comes in. After explaining everything, including the fact that he could sometimes still see NF's true form crackling across the dome around gravity falls at night, trying to break in, Fiddleford offered without hesitation to help kill or banish or otherwise get rid of NF. Ford looked uncomfortable during the explanation (too close to home for him), but immediately backed up Fiddleford. Stan definitely would have also but he was helping the kids with breakfast so not actually included in the convo, but would sign on later that day.

After so many years of having to protect his niece on his own with just him and Song, the promise that they belonged in Gravity Falls, and that there were still people who were willing to help him broke him. The immenseness of that relief made room for so much joy in his heart, and he finally was able to start seeing a future for himself. And it didn't involve running anymore. He'd always kept a strong face for his niece who he didn't want to grow up afraid, but in that moment he was able to just break and cry openly about the fact that if everything went to plan? They'd both be free soon.

As rude as this might be to say, my first impression wasn't that special. Just another name on a list of students to teach that year - the second impression is what had something special to it.

My second impression was that it would be good to look out for you given everything you had been through. Trying to summon a ghost because you couldn't take one more day of waiting in regards to being loved back? Going as far as letting him pull you about and suggest weird ways of romance that I'm not sure he even knew himself...

All to the point you swallowed a mermaid scale and owed him a favor, to the point I got concerned for your safety. My first impression from that is that you were a complete disaster that needed someone to keep an eye on everything you keep getting yourself into, Yashiro! But... that's not always a bad thing. I'm a disaster, too, and... as long as you're continuing to be as thoughtful and as understanding as you are, that's what matters. It makes your life more fun, too, and that's the most important thing.

I move around a lot in my sleep, so he always has to put some of his weight on me to keep me in place. Instead of spoons, Levi sleeps on top of me, with his head resting on my chest. Sometimes we swap places though!!

Getting Levi in a costume is like pulling teeth. He doesn't want to do anything too difficult, or anything that requires greasy face makeup. (That's fine the stuff feels disgusting anyways). I tend towards scary though, and he's not huge on covering himself in fake blood 🩸 We'd rock costumes like zombies, vampires, demons etc!! lace: what are you and your f/o wearing on a date?

Reth doesn't get a lot of time to actually go on dates, especially not ones where he'd need to dress up. Most dates are just sharing a meal together either at Story's housing plot, or a particularly slow day at the Inn either during or after his shift. So usually Reth just comes as he is!

Story doesn't really "get" the concept of dressing up for anything other than Performances, unless it serves The Narrative. With Reth, he doesn't feel like he's performing, and likes the ease that he gets to Just Exist. He's less likely to change his clothes, but he might change his hair up a bit, take down the random braids and brush it all out.

On the off chance they ARE going to dress up, like they managed to get free tickets to a Nice Place, they try to keep it simple. Neither Reth nor Story have many nice clothes, Reth bc his money is going elsewhere and Story because all his "nice clothes" are Performance Outfits and he can't dress like an Eldritch deer god pirate at the fancy dinner. Button downs and their nicest bottoms for both. Reth would probably tuck in his shirt, and stick with whatever pants look cleanest- though if he actually owned a skirt he might rotate through that once and a while. Story will NOT tuck his shirt, refuses and hates it, and will keep his shirt probably a button or two too unbuttoned for the venue. 50/50 on if he shows up with a skirt or pants.

More commonly though, with Story's fast paced lifestyle and Reth's crazy busy Schedual, they usually just don't bother doing anything different.
