i want to do longer ask games that aren't just putting in a number/emoji, but actively writing f/o letters, f/o flusters, etc, but it's frustrating to do so.

anxiety. it's so hard not to be anxious that i've said something wrong + offended the person or gotten their f/o completely ooc... i hate it

wanting to get stuff in my inbox as well. it's so discouraging to send out fun stuff to people (which is always a delight) and never get anything back. i get jealous sometimes bc i'll see people i follow getting SO MANY asks, f/o letters, etc and i'll get maybe 1 ask if im lucky when i reblog a ask meme. never mind f/o letter games, stuff like that - i'll get 0 stuff.

idk. it's just discouraging. combine that w/ getting worn out in the selfship community bc of so much drama n stuff and it makes me want to close my account and start over privately sometimes.

Ooooh! For the polyamorous selfship ask game! Sorry for taking a while with this! Some Clarification: They're not all MHA background characters, that's ONLY 🔥. The others are from different settings! 🔘 is a background villain from Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, 🔴 is a background character from Pokémon Horizons, and Hoshizora Miyuki/Cure Happy is from Smile Precure! I'll answer all of these despite the separate sources! - Azalea

🐈: "Do you all share one big bed together or do you have different beds?"

Given Miyuki's age and 🔥's age, we all decided different beds would be the best option. It allows everyone to have their own space just as those two would need at their ages, and would prevent any overcrowding on top of that! It prevents conflicts too, such as 🔥 and Miyuki being heroes while 🔘 is a proud villain.

This doesn't mean we'll never sleep in the same bed, though! There are always moments when they'd like to share the same bed for the night, whether to cuddle underneath blankets, recover from a nightmare, or just has someone to sleep beside. We have different beds, but we don't always use them.

🦥: "In a modern setting, what job would each of you have?"

In a way, everyone's settings are already modern given how their universes work, the difference isn't really timewise, but in what's possible for each of their worlds. However, jobs in that sense would be a little tough to pick out. I'm an unemployed stay-at-home mother currently, and I don't imagine that would change much with these four. Miyuki and 🔥 aren't old enough to take on jobs where I live, they'd still be students, but for 🔥 the school would no longer be a Hero Course school.

For 🔘 I think she'd become a retail worker at a card game and nerd memoribilia store, learning judge rules for several games, hosting weekly tournaments to hand out prize packs, and more. She feels like the kind of girl who's secretly happy to be surrounded by nerds deep down. I'm not sure what 🔴 would do... She'd possibly be a nursery, playgroup, or preschool worker. I think she'd want to be able to help out in that setting as much as possible.

🐅: "Do you have any pets? If so, what are they? If not, what kind of pets would you like to adopt?"

None right now! Unless you count Duel Monsters and a weird fairy from a faraway land of fairytales as pets thanks to Miyuki and 🔘. Truth be told, I'm not sure I'd be capable of looking after a pet completely solo. I imagine I can handle the feeding fine, it's the cleaning that would be a struggle for me - and due to that, I'd not trust myself to seek a pet out without the help of these four to balance caretaking.

I love rabbits and pigeons, but for pet reasons I think I'd go with a pigeon as rabbits are incredibly high-maintenance. I'd make sure with Miyuki, 🔥, 🔘, and 🔴 that they'd be on board with it first, of course. I think 🔘 and 🔥 would be at least, and Miyuki might end up thinking this pigeon is such an odd pet that our lives are beginning to look more like a fairytale picture book and encourage it. I'm not sure how 🔴 would feel - but if even one of us weren't comfortable with the animal choice, we'd seek another. Everyone's comfort - AND the animals' need for love - would be taken into consideration heavily.

YAY tysm, here is a link also to the list of questions for anyone who wants them! Also sorry this took so long to answer I had to go to work

In what ways do you like to participate in your ship? Do you have a favorite piece of merch/art/writing featuring your f/o? Do you engage with your ship IRL by taking a token of them along on outings?

Most of my engagement with my ship is via writing and drawing, and because I'm Particular a lot of the best stuff is stuff I've made, or some key things also featuring Saïx (bc you really cannot separate them imo.). I also really enjoy replaying 358/2 Days bc that's where I was first introduced to him, and the series overall and it's really good.

Who was the one to pursue the relationship? Was it even reciprocated at first? Was it a big deal, or did you instead forgo a "confession" and one day just quietly acknowledge that you're basically a couple?

In the Org days, which for Dexash lasted all of like, a week, it was just them both casually flirting back and forth. No one's really sure who started it, and they didn't get far enough to actually become a couple back then. After Dexash finally got recompleted though, it was Axel who reached out first. It was really tough because Dex very much still had major feelings for him, but due to the events that happened at Castle Oblivion he was extremely hesitant and still really hurt. He eventually came around though, and Axel was really patient about the whole thing.

Are there any other inhabitants that you and your f/o share a space with? Pets? Roommates? Your children? Other members of a polycule?

Yes! Saïx obviously, but also Roxas and Xion all living together under one roof. Axel started out just having an apartment, but after the events of KH3 he realized he needed way more space since Roxas and Xion deserved their own rooms, so managed to rent an actual house. Then Saïx moved in, then Dexash after a long while.

Do the both of your personalities overlap fairly closely, or do you operate on completely opposite temperaments?

They're pretty close, id say, with Axel being the more impulsive one out of the duo. Dexash is mostly more dialed back, but it's a similar vibe.

Who's the shier one between you and your f/o? The more flirtatious? Who's more prone to flustering the other, and through that means? Is it intentional or done completely by accident?

Dexash is definitely the shier one, but not massively. It's more that he's hesitant after recompletion because of how intense that initial heartbreak hurt him. Axel is generally more forward, and doubly so once they patch things up. Dex though is way more likely to fluster Axel just by pure accident, either by intentional flirting or displays of power/strength during a battle, which Axel notibly has a Thing for.

In what ways do either of you set the mood? Is it usually a big to-do with meticulous ambiance, or is it more than often a spur of the moment coupling wherever it occurs?

It's more often a spur of the moment thing, and not a huge event overall. Both of them don't really place a lot of emotional weight by default on sex- it's emotionally charged only when you're doing it with someone who you already have strong feelings for. If either of them were single, they'd both be the type for casual hookups, but they're content in the closed polycule as it stands. So they approach it generally as just a spur of the moment fun thing to do together more often than not. Either because one or both is bored, or just as stress relief. Sometimes though, Dexash will make a point of setting something up that's got more effort put in, but that's more likely to be a whole kink scene.

In the event of choosing to marry, what is the reasoning? Genuine love? Obligation? Political or financial gain? Just looking for a break on taxes?

Definitely love over any other reason. Dexash is a huge romantic and Axel has a sort of dramatic flair overall, so it would very much be A Big Event just proposing. I think the most likely scenario would be that Axel proposes to really insist that Dexash is not just "tolerated" in the relationship but wanted, permanently.

What are some mental trials that plague you or your f/o? How are either of you able to help the other overcome, or at least cope with these sorts of issues?

There's a lot of tension, especially right after Dexash comes back from being recompleted, over what happened at Castle Oblivion. He was sent off with the others and was basically used as a time buffer by Marluxia and Larxene, and straight up didn't understand why Axel was attacking him. That betrayal (as much as Axel didn't even want to do it) was the first thing that Dex felt on waking up again, and that pain was really impactful. On top of that, Axel has a LOT of organization-based baggage, and Dex doesn't even remember who he was before he joined, so now that he's a whole person again he doesn't even have the Org's structure to base his life and identity around. On top of them both learning to deal with adjusting to having a heart again, which Axel has a head start on comparatively.

A lot of the recovery from all of these involves a lot of playing it by ear, taking things slow, communicating and exploring. Axel has his new role as a keyblade wielder, which helps him a lot finding his new place in the world, but also for reasons Dex doesn't understand, it bugs him. He doesn't want to take that away from Axel, obviously, but it settles funny for him. This smooths over a lot more when Dexash starts picking up hobbies that are wholly his own.

Of course, Anon! Sorry I took so long getting around to this, I came down with an illness just as I was going to answer ;-;

I've got it now though!

Anemone: Is your wedding extravagant or small and quaint? Do you have lots of guests or just a few close friends?

I'd say the wedding is small and quaint. While Nene may want a big traditional wedding for the romantic feeling of it, doing so would draw too much attention to the things people would disapprove about our relationship. It's best left small and quaint with just a few close friends who Nene and I both know we can trust.

Snapdragon: What season did/do you choose to have your wedding in?

While I'd prefer a spring wedding, I feel like with Nene's love of all things spooky and gothic (on top of cute), she'd prefer a fall wedding. I think we'd end up going with a fall wedding with a few pieces of spring aesthetic around, just to keep both of us happy and entertained. It's important we work together on these things :>

Rose: Which one of you did the most planning for the wedding?

Definitely a team effort with a lot of back-and-forth discussion! Given our relationship is unconventional, it's important we know how to keep each other comfortable and safe during such a big event like a wedding! Nene and I would plan together, and if either of us were too busy, we'd note down our ideas on our own to organize when more free.

What would their lives be like if they had never met?

If Dexash never met Saïx or Axel, honestly very little would change from canon, on their ends. He wasn't around in the organization very long, and he doesn't have much of a gravity to fall into. Dexash though would be pretty fucking lost without that initial start. Because of Saïx's position, not meeting would require him not to have landed in the Org at all, leaving him amnesiatic and lost. He'd definitely struggle to get by.

Who takes the lead in social situations?

Axel, 100%. Saïx is still pretty reserved and upright, and Dexash is really socially challenged unless the person in question is as strange and off-putting as himself (ie Demyx LMAO).

What are their favorite things to do together?

As a trio, they tend to cat-socialize, just sort of being in the same room together, and that's their go-to. When it's just Saïx and Dexash, they tend to stargaze or cloud watch. When it's just Dexash and Axel, they like to go on walks together and hang out in high places- not the clock tower per say, since that's very much a sea salt trio+ location now, but Dexash has a habit of getting them onto rooftops.

Who kills the bugs in the house?

Saïx. Axel is actively banned from trying to kill the bugs in the house after he damn near set the whole place ablaze, and Dexash is more likely to just get scared of them 😭
